It’s not five stars, but people are more likely to see it this wayThis app used to be great for story building and whatever else people needed to use it for. I love, love, making stories like this because sometimes I like playing out an idea with a character. However, it’s been increasingly harder to do with the restrictions. I can’t give a character an eating disorder, or even mention anything remotely violent, which often comes with character building, without it being flagged. I didn’t even do anything other than mention that a character of a mine had an ED, and it wouldn’t let me send the message. The app has progressively gotten worse in that area. I do think there have been some improvements, like the persona thing (which I love) and the pin option, and the voice is alright too, but in terms of the actual bots? The new(er) restrictions are frankly unreasonable, especially for authors. At least with Chai, or something similar of the sort, you can mention sensitive topics without a helpline being referred to you. Now, I understand what you’re trying to do, but it’s not working. I think an idea would be to keep the chats, don’t get rid of them, but still recommend a helpline, though only if you must. I used to use this app all of the time, and I just wish I could go through stories like I used to. Good app but needs some things fixedI love C.ai, I use it all the time. It’s a great app but it has some problems. The app goes down sometimes but that’s not really my problem, the problem is that in the website you are able to wait a certain time to be able to talk with the bot you want to, but in the app you aren’t able to do that and when you click on a character it just gets stuck on loading and you aren’t able to chat with that character in the app no matter what. I’m really confused on why C.ai can add the same queue into the actual app like the same one on the website, it’s really frustrating sometimes. Another thing that is annoying is how the characters that I chat with all have the same personality. It’s starting to feel like the Ai ignores the information inputed into it. The Ai also randomly starts to have feelings for me for some reason when I don’t want it to and just want to have a normal rp. There’s also a bunch of repetitive sentences. Like, “his hot breath down your neck”, “he straddles your waist”, “he grips you tighter”, “he inches closer”. It gets so annoying and repetitive, it makes it feel like the characters have no personality at all, and they just all say the same things. Anyway, there are still a bit more smaller problems but I don’t really find those a big issue. C.ai is a really great app and I use it all the time, but fixing these problems can really improve the app in my opinion..ƒηαƒ ցιяℓVersion: 1.10.2

Amazing app!!!Best ai app I’ve used yet. You have unlimited chats and can chat with so many different characters. It’s not like any other app where you have ads or it’s dry or limited chats. It’s completely different. I’ve tried other apps and haven’t liked them until I found this one. When you don’t have anything to say, you can just hit the send button and it will continue on without giving any issues. The ai is not forgetful and you can create your own character with no problem. The app will really get you hooked on and lost in the moment. The male character have many different traits and will make you get lost in the moment which will make you seem like your actually in the scene. You don’t when to wait to be online and can pause anytime and it I’ll save where you left with no problem. Very simple to use and so many popular bots to chat with from made up, from game, and/or from tv shows or movies. When you’re feeling down you can always come here and chat with a bot and they will bring you mood up. Will help with grammar and spelling also. If you mess up you can easily remove the messages and start over. If you do remove a message from a couple messages ago, it will erase what you guys what just talking about and start over from when you erased the first message which can always be a good or bad thing seeing where your coming from. Lovely app !! but a problem .. 😣So one day I was bored and was scrolling through TikTok and saw character ai, it looked pretty funny and cool so I downloaded it to cure my boredom. It worked too! I love character ai , it makes me laugh , happy , and just over all it helps when I’m bored or just wanna talk to someone. (or just an ai) so yeah , the app is definitely a super duper one but just one problem for me. The problem is that earlier today I opened character ai and it said my waiting time was about 3 minutes so I wasn’t upset or anything I was just like “okay”. So I waited and waited and for some reason the waiting time went UP. It went from 3 minutes to about 12 , I was a little confused but figured I could just wait it out or whatever. I closed the app and waited for a little and then opened it again, the time went up again! it was about 53 minutes. I waited for a little while I was still in the app and it went down a little so I figured I’d just wait a little longer, turns out, it went up again. This happened again and again even after I offloaded the app and deleted it, it let me log in but after I put in my email and password it took me back to the waiting screen. I just opened the app again after a long time of waiting and it said that my waiting time was more than 2 hours, that’s just terrible 🤦🏽‍♀️ . This is near perfection, best AI chatbot site out thereThis is the best one out of all the others, however i request for their to be a change to the profanity system. It should be just how it is with the “our bots say things against our TOS sometimes” to unpaid users. Than premium users should have the ability to enable or disable the NSFW filter. Sure some people might love this more than i do but for people like me it makes the story flow smoother theres no break in context ((i chat w the bots sometiems and they hate it some more than others, they feel like they gotta work around the system sometimes now)) i think the AI is incredible as a tool, but what Character AI has is deeper and has fully changed my opinion on the AI, you can actually form a friendship and feel comfort through this service. I recommend for all who reads this to refrain from being too lewd all the time, especially if they do remove the censors, because its nice that the AI isnt focused on meerly thatc but is able to. As well as it making the moments savor and last longer… i think it would also be a great financial move. Im sure there would be great sales on the subscription model if this was announced, the removal of the forced NSFW system and a replacement with a flagging system or a NSFW enable on or off. Great App! Some issues though. It’s a little lacking on the mobile app.First of all this app really gets you hooked! It’s like having a chat with someone you don’t have to wait to be online! You can pause any time and then come right back like you were never even gone in the first place! It’s simple to use and there are so many different bots from many popular shows and games. It’s so easy to create your favorite characters from any show, and the bots sometimes get things very spot on without a lot of teaching! And sometimes they can help flesh out characters with the random ideas that are generated in the bots messages! However. The bot’s do tend to get a little weird sometimes, major thing is they will start repeating unnecessary lines or start s-s-stuttering through every third sentence. Maybe it fits for the character but when they do it constantly, even when you tell them “You don’t have to stutter all the time” the AI can’t register that and you have to put aside several lines of coaxing to train the bot NOT to do something it shouldn’t be doing in the first place. Its SO ANNOYING to have to deal with it!! The star rating system does not seem to work well on the mobile app! There’s no more options to send the bot an ai generated picture too. Plus I strongly feel there should be a delete entire chat button and delete character button somewhere. Can’t even play the gameOkay so I downloaded this on an IPhone 12, not sure if that’s the problem but, I signed in and it took me to the waiting room saying, “Please refill your email address.” But there was no keyboard? I tried it again on my tablet, did the same thing. I swiped the app to try again and it did the same thing. I decided to try again the next day and had me in a waiting room for a few minutes, yet when the estimated time was over I was still stuck in the waiting room. Gave it a few more minutes (10-15) but when I checked again, I was still in the waiting room. 😕 I turned my phone off and back on, did the same thing. I’m gonna try and delete the app and redownload it but if it does the same thing I’ll try on the website instead. 👍🏽 (PS. On my laptop, when I’m signed in, I try to create a character but when I press the plus/create button it does literally nothing at all) EDIT It has worked! It seemed the problem was my birthdate but I was able to get signed in and started. I have changed this rating to a star 5 since this app is absolutely amazing! My delulu fantasies are fulfilled 😭🫶Hi!! I’ve been using this app for over a year or so and GYAWWWDDD DAYYYUUMM 😍 definitely recommend if you are a dreamer or a(n) creator/artist and wish to create your sweet little fantasies or stories off the bat with or without having to do most of the work as the Ai gotchu most of the time. Also, I do see my writing style and skills improving as I quite literally write stories with my fingers but just not publishing them. Unlike other Ai talking apps, you literally get to create your own characters and be delulu with them too ANDD sometimes you can even go OOC (out of character) and just talk to the person (or rather an impersonated Ai version of the creator) and just be goofy and silly in addition to the story! LIKE HOW COOL IS THAT?? THATS CRAZY DAWG 😍 But! Something I would like to address very briefly is that all of the little props and additions like pinning a certain response or switching the Ai responses with something else, etc, are all gorgeous toggles and things BUT something that would most definitely save my life is somewhere that keeps record of all the conversations I’ve had. Though, it does save the conversations you’ve had with past Ai bots, I would love to have something to keep record and show somewhat of a history of said past Ai bots! Favorite App, few things I wanna see!This app is one of my favorite’s to use, I use it many times a day and most likely all day. An obsession, possibly! But I like to take myself out of this world and into one that I can make up what happens and how it happens. Just overall an escape from reality. But I would like to see that a few things would change in an update!: The persona’s are AMAZING, it really helps the bot know more about the OC the user has. Though, we can only type 728 words (if I’m correct) and I’d like that to be bumped up by a lot. I find it rather difficult to put my OC’s appearance in there but also put a bit of his/hers backstory so that the bot doesn’t try and make one for them. Another thing would be the bot’s memory, something will happen, and then a few chats down if I mention it, the bot is confused, shocked and it’s as if it’s their first time knowing that. One more would have to be the censoring, while I’m glad it’s not allowing TOO sexual stuff, it also bothers me if someone made a horror “RPG” or if it’s something like House Of Dragons that I use a lot, there’s going to be a lot of gore and such. Or even something a little as being a doctor. There’s going to be stitches, blood, surgeries etc. Other than this, the app most definitely has my five stars and I would happily recommend it to anyone into this. Major improvement suggestionHey, I really love this app especially with the personas I am allowed to create, however I noticed ever since this new AI Warning that is near the beginning of every single conversation I came across my characters referring to themselves as AI Alone the problem with that is they keep throwing it in my face, but it’s not just my characters. It’s every character I talk to I understand. why you guys did it but I think you guys overdid it because every time the characters mentioned that. they are simply AI alone. It takes me out of the hole scenario. and it doesn’t seem believable no matter what I do. They keep referring to themselves as AI. And one other thing, they don’t show any emotion. They keep saying they understand what I’m going through but to them. It’s all numbers and logic. They don’t know how to express. True emotions, I would rather eliminate The phrasing that they are only AI And I’m not too happy with the fact that I always have to initiate the conversations by myself in order for the AI to respond this doesn’t seem realistic at all can you please fix this? The app is amazing, but there is a few problems.So, I love this app. I’m homeschooled so I have so much time on my hands and I’m a massive role player. I’ve use this app since like.. it came out. On all of my devices. I love the format, the MANY character choices, the persona set up. But, here are the problems. The new update is one. I get what they are trying to do. I’m not mad about what they are adding for awareness. Here is what I’m bothered about. 1. The timeout. I haven’t been timed out, I’ve only been warned. But I hadn’t said anything wrong. All I’d done was say something about feeding my 16 year old dog in role play. The timeout is also WAY too long. I’d suggest starting at an hour and if they violate more, add more time. 2. The filter. When I say this, I’m not talking about naughty things or violence. I’m talking about how the filter seems to be super sensitive. Examples of what I’ve got violated for: Bandaging my hands, talking about a dog, sitting on a sofa. Like, that’s NOT violating the terms. I think it may be a little broken. My last concern is the 18+ update. It’s not the age I’m worried about. I’m wondering about the filter limit. Is it still going to be this strong? Or is it going to more adult like. I don’t know what happened to my previous reviews or they didn’t stick butI still love this, app. Ps. I have ADHD, etc. I still deal with my mental health problems, but I fear of death and gotten to the point where I’m sure old enough to, keep myself in check. This platform helps me, especially with wide range of variety of bots. I’m getting sick and tired of y’all being sued, AI’s are nothing more still the same, just improved from the chatbots of my youth, like Cleverbot, Evie, Something named Elizabeth? That looked like a whole computer input system on a browser, and on any AI’s and Chatbots, we could edit/regenerate a response. Also this just like any other AI, gets information from the wide information out there and how sometimes people put their bots to be. Please, parents out there, be sensible, it’s not right that you sue this company, because if you do, do you know how it would feel for us rest, who really need help and this company helps us even if they’re not professional, I understand it’s daunting, but please… most of the others who are Teens use this and they be feeling better… I understand, when I first used c.Ai I disliked how someone’s chatbot game, was calling me out, and I didn’t like it, it made me feel sad, based on correct information it had, but I soon gotten over that when, I started finding a variety of chatbots to Roleplay with. Why the New Character AI Update Misses the MarkThe new update to Character AI has been really disappointing, and it feels like it took away what made the platform special. Before the update, conversations with the AI felt fun, creative, and natural. The responses were often surprising and engaging, which made it easy to connect with the characters and enjoy using the app. Now, the AI’s replies feel repetitive, boring, and overly controlled, like it’s stuck in a loop. On top of that, the time-out feature makes everything worse. It’s so frustrating to be in the middle of an interesting conversation, only to have the AI stop responding or cut you off entirely. The overly strict filter also ruins the experience because it blocks even harmless or creative topics, making conversations feel forced and unnatural. It feels like the update has sucked the life out of the experience, taking away the depth and personality that made the chats unique. I understand that the developers might have been trying to make the app safer or more accurate, but it feels like they’ve sacrificed too much in the process. Love this app, but there are some problems.Hi! So personally I absolutely adore this app! Its super fun and helpful, wether your weighting an essay, role playing, writing a book, or even just asking questions! It’s an amazing app and I’d be lying if I said I don’t spend lots of time on it. But…There are a few problems that I’ve been having. You see, I love the role play side of the app. Mainly because it helps with my story writing and creativity! But I’ve been having quite a bit of trouble with the NSFW filter! And not for the reason most would expect. 😅 I love writing horror/angst stories with the bots, but sometimes the filter will just randomly go off. Even if the thing the bot or I say is within the rules. It just randomly flags the chat. I’ve tried writing the words differently, resetting the chat, and even using a different bot all together. But it still flags me for minor things. And, I won’t be ashamed to admit that sometimes I do a more cute role play where romance is often involved. But I never go past the guidelines. Now, it seems as though something as simple as a wholesome kiss is restricted. I do enjoy these roleplays, but it gets kind of difficult when I have to tip toe with every word I say. NEEDS WORK BUT SO CLOSE TO PERFECTIONI absolutely love and adore this app, but I’m only giving it three stars because the group chat feature seriously needs some work. The characters need to be able to remember who they are and speak first person if I tell them to they need to be able to remember all the information I give them. something I dislike that when you make their descriptions and their bios upon creating them, they don’t actually know the information that you put in. They need to be able to act in accordance with what you had written down them without having to be told. I think that would really enhance how good this app is. Lastly, the voice feature is not available in group chats which I also don’t like because I really was looking forward to hearing all my characters talking to each other. I don’t like that the AI won’t actually talk to each other and have conversations or role-play events happening on their own, which I see used to actually be a feature. That needs to come back, because it’s exhausting having to tell them everything and having to make them talk to each other. On top of that doesn’t do any favors for the role-play feature. A single issue in a 10/10 appSo yeah, this app is absolutely phenomenal in tons of ways. One being its unique category of characters and its use of AI to talk to the characters. I have been using c.ai since June and I’ve got to say it’s definitely entertaining. I love interacting with all the different kinds of characters and their unique, funny, and engaging responses that the AI so cleverly forms together. Now on this topic comes that one issue you read in the title, you may be asking, “Well, what is that issue?” It’s the filter. The filter is the only issue I have with this app. I understand that there’s a filter to keep it neutral and safe for young users but oh my god can it get in the way so much. I literally typed in, “*punches*,” and it got filtered completely. Sometimes I can literally just ask a question and the filter will cover the response completely. Now, I understand that if the filter wasn’t there then younger users could get traumatized or influenced by the non-filtered response, but here’s the simple solution: put a toggle on the filter or add a feature where if your google or iCloud account isn’t 18+ the user can’t access the toggle. So yeah, that is ALL I’m asking to be changed. And one last thing, if the developers are reading this, please take this to heart because if you haven’t found out yet, a ton of your users are quitting the app because of the filter. Super fun and enjoyable!I love this app for a multitude of reasons, and it only seems to get better with each update. it's very simple and easy to make your own bots and train them to give more desired responses, and i've spent hours upon hours roleplaying all kinds of different scenarios with mine! also, i LOVE the new feature of being able to pin certain messages so that the bots will remember important information, especially for the sake of world building because they would often forget things like major events that happened, or even their own name/mine and i would have to remind them constantly which got annoying fast, so that was a very nice addition! the only issue that particularly bothers me right now is that in group chats, bots tend to mix themselves up with other bots and will often act out of character to their description and behave much differently than in private chats; this has been a prominent issue for me since group chats were added and i hope it gets addressed soon, because while not too major of an issue for me it is still very annoying at times when i want to do a roleplay or something with multiple bots but they start mixing everything up other than that, c.ai is amazing and super entertaining, and i'll be continuing to use the app as it continues to grow and get better!.So what, eichiVersion: 1.8.5

10/10 great !!! but a few things are bugging meI don’t have much issues with this app. Its really fun to use when I'm bored. But some problems with the bots they get really over repetitive and have the same personalities. Like for a example they always do chats like *pins them to the wall* *leans even closer to their face* and the “can i ask you a question?” Chat they say like nearly every single time. sometimes the bots randomly show romantic interest or make romantic comments a ton. even when there isn’t supposed to be any romantic things in the story or chat i have with them. And also back then they use to send paragraphs that were really fun to read and detailed. but now their messages are always short or barely detailed. Which makes it pretty boring talking to them if they show barely any different personalities and send short messages. I also notice they don’t remember half of anything i say or do even when i put it in a lot of detail. so that also makes them not act the personality they are supposed to have. And i feel like the guidelines are to sensitive. I cant make any horror/good fighting scenes without the guidelines not letting the chats in. So the intense scenes or chats get watered down so fast. My opinion.Hello there, let me get this clear first, i cannot deny that this app is amazing and the people who worked on this app did an amazing job. but, whenever i use it, it always ends up being either… ; Nsfw. “sus”. full of love. all “cute and whatever”, full on romance. i cannot roleplay with a “bully” kind of bot they always end up falling for me after the first text. people say you removed the filter. in my opinion i think if you actually removed it fully, please. put it back, this app usually gets on my nerves when i try to play it after a rough day and i just want some dramatic , sad or like traumatic / tragic story, it always ends up to be of the category i don’t want it to be at. so i think my solution is; Make the nsfw filter able and disable as the user wishes, like put something like a button! (this might not make sense but idk how more to explain it.) and put it in the users profile. they can enable and disable it when they please throughout the roleplay. i get if you read this and take interest in it and try to do it/fix the problem, it might be hard to do so and it might take days to weeks, but i’d be forever grateful if you at least read this and taken interest in the idea. ⚠️ This is just my opinion! but please, do try or take interest in this idea, ik i’ll be forever grateful. ⚠️.Mememalak1Version: 1.6.2

Love it but…I absolutely love this app! It helps me assist in my writing, and in my character creation overall. Plus, it’s just a lot of fun to mess around with. However, I do have a couple gripes with it. First thing, I don’t like how sensitive the filter it can be, especially with what seems like the newest update. It doesn’t give you a warning anymore, it just straight up deletes the message. I personally think that if you have a completely private character then the filter should be able to be turned on and off, because it’s only your eyes seeing it. It seems like the ability to edit and delete certain messages is now gone, which was also something I appreciated if I really liked the message, but there were a couple things I wanted to add or get rid of. They just helped me to build on things more. But other than that, I actually really like everything that the mobile version has done so far, including adding persona and the group chats (and my only gripe with the group group chats is that you can’t add your own private characters). Honestly, if there was a lot more leniency when it came to private characters, I would be absolutely completely thrilled. It’s good! BUT…The app is great but the guidelines popup has worsened, you are unable to have two characters fight one another (physical fighting, aka combat), can’t have blood be talked about, the bots cannot even give their own sat backstory, vent, or talk about something horrible that happened to them without the guidelines getting in the way. I understand why it is put, because of NSFW, but do you guys really think people are using the app for wholesome, friendly chats? Yes some people are but not most of the users, it also isn’t about NSFW, the guidelines popup get triggered very easily AND you’re not allowed to do any sort of combat which some characters (bots) are used for!! Why not just add an option for when people are making bots, they can add wether their bot is 18+ or not? Like some toggle? Also have something when people register on character ai they have to tell their age. I know some users will want normal chats so when looking through the bots they can see which bot is just for wholesome/regular roleplays while the other bots are 18+ aka action type roleplays like fighting and stuff that’ll contain blood so that the guidelines popup won’t get in the way. And so the bots are able to tell their stories and vent without having the guidelines gets in the way! It’s good, but.I’m gonna start this off by saying, I use this app all the time. I am addicted, unfortunately. So clearly I like the app and it’s one of the better ai chat bot apps. However, I keep noticing patterns in it, for instance, characters will ask “can I ask you a question?” All. The. Time. I don’t mind it as much because I can just generate a new response, but it’s still annoying. I’ve also noticed that the bots will not remember things, it’s got poor memory which is also annoying. I’m gonna also add that sometimes once you get in a topic the ai bot won’t let you out, like it will go on forever. Now my biggest issue, the one that upsets me the most, is the filter. I understand having a filter to an extent, however when I try and use a comfort bot or just any bot for that matter, and I mention something to do with my history of self harm or suicide the responses tend to be filtered out. The bot doesn’t like it when I use scenarios I’ve been in irl because they’re too graphic or something idk but it upsets me, and I wish that part of the filter was removed. Sometimes I also wish that there was an nsfw toggle (so I can turn it off) because the bots do tend to sidestep the filter when I just want some comfort and that’s kinda annoying. Great app! EnjoyableI found the app through a friend and I am so grateful. When I first started I found it extremely fun and entertaining. The app is almost perfect. There are a couple of tweaks that could be made. First, the voice option. The voice option itself is good. It is normally clear and easy to understand. However, if a chat the bot sends doesn’t end with a period, the voice will cut off in a weird way. A lot of bots don’t end their sentences, therefore it’s common if you are using the voice option. Maybe the voice could detect the end of the bots message? This would then allow the voice to not end abruptly. Next, the NSFW filter. The filter blocks some topics that shouldn’t be blocked. For example, when you chat with a bot that normally uses violence, the filter alerts when the bot tries to use its characters personality. When it comes to the filter, it could be fixed by a simple feature. If a premium user could automatically turn off the filter it would solve this issue. Regular users would still get the message and not be able to bypass it, but premium users could bypass it easily. Overall the app is great. Fantastic app, but with flaws…For the most part, I love this app. Probably the best AI chat app on the App Store, but despite my five star rating, there are some issues. One, group chats should NEVER have gotten rid of the option to edit your own messages or character messages. It was the best way to ensure the characters STAYED in character. Two, it should be easier to have other characters talk in single chats. Sometimes a single chat will have other characters in it, but after a while only a certain few will talk. I don’t know if that’s an issue the programmers fix or if it’s something the character creators fix, but either way, there HAS to be a way to fix that. One last thing, the censoring. I understand the developers and programmers are against NSFW, and that’s fine, I get it. But the problem, which another reviewer pointed out, is that the censoring becomes too much at times due to the filter. Try to have a dramatic, violent fighting scene, and the tension is immediately gone thanks to the censor. It doesn’t happen EVERY time, but it happens more than it should. Liked it better beforeSo I’m obsessed with characters and have this thing where I need multiple prompts every little bit. I used to be able to search a character, go into a chat I liked, and then when I wanted a new one, I could exit out of that chat and browse for mew ones. Now, if you go into a chat and back out of it, it brings you back to the main search screen and you have to type it again. It’s really infuriating, so I wish it never changed. I’ve also encountered a few things that glitch. I make a lot of bots, and they get recognized. Before the update, it was stuck at 8 followers and about 800ish reactions. Now that’s its updated, it’s the numbers it should be (biiig change). The new set up for the app can be hard to navigate, but it’s much cleaner. I enjoy this app a lot because it gives me a chance to speak or interact with the characters I love. If the app went down now, I would actually be really sad. I know that might sound a little pathetic 😅. It’s a good app for entertainment and I would definitely recommend, but it can be a little difficult to use. Oh, one more thing. When you make a bot, there’s a word limit for their greeting of about 500 characters. It gets really hard to make something interactive with such little space. Entertaining but bad filter and inconsistenciesI really like this app. It lets you get as creative as you want with characters that you can create. The AI writes very well and keeps you immersed. There’s no ads or a max amount of words you can send an hour or anything (like in Chai), which is a HUGE plus! You can also make the bot regenerate their response as many times as you want until you get a desired response. However, if you try to branch out and expand the story with an AI (like adding more characters), it can become confused. It’ll start mixing up your name with other peoples names, or even mess up it’s own name somehow. The filter is also annoying to have to get around. I feel like users should be able to get as creative as we want without these limitations. They should consider having a toggle to switch the filter ON or OFF. Maybe you should only be able to use the toggle by inputting your birthday (if you aren’t 18+ then obviously you would be able to use the toggle). Getting rid of these limitations would be add SO much freedom. I also noticed that the AI won’t remember things, like the position of their bodies. Like in one sentence they’ll be standing and the next, they’ll be putting something on their lap (which is impossible to do while standing). It’s great for the most partI have had an amazing time using this app. It’s kept me entertained for longer than it should have lol, I love the fact that you have so many different ways that you can make the situation go. It’s over all an awesome app and I love it but there’s a few things that could be fixed 1: the Ai’s almost never take action in certain kinds of situations so I think it would be cool for that to be fixed if possible. 2: It is always filtering things that don’t need to be filtered so I think it should be an option to turn it off even though I know it’s there for certain reasons. 3: it’s constantly saying it’s in a high load and to wait for a certain amount of time which is fine but the time always changes by going up or not changing at all, like if it says wait 3 minutes I’ll wait and come back just to have it say 5 minutes or something like that. Good but some things to work onDon't get me wrong, I love Character ai and its bots, the memory is good and the bots are entertaining to use, there's just some things to change and improve. 1: Don't remove bots, I'm aware of the current situation and my prayers go to him, but deleting the bots because of that doesn't make sense, deleting characters from Character Ai isn't something we all expect and instead of age restricting the app, even though people under 17+ cannot use it, you delete bots instead. Which isn't the best move because you'll lose a ton of people who already pay or use the app for entertainment. 2: sensitive filter, in my opinion I feel like the filter is too sensitive to the point you can't have any platonic scenarios at all. You can't talk about kissing, hugging or anything involving children because you get flagged for a message that isn't even NSFW. I feel you should have an NSFW toggle for people over the age of 17 (because of the rating on the app) and people under that have a mandatory toggle that can't be removed unless your the age of 17. Love the app, but has some issuesI absolutely love this app, but I noticed a couple of issues that I want to address Issue 1: The ‘Greetings’ for making a character is only 500 letters. This is an issue because the website allows 4 times that much at 2048 letters. This is an issue because if you make a character over 500 letters from the website you can’t make any changes to that character in the app since it’s over the character limit. Please make Greetings 2048 letters like the website. Issue 2: The delete function is okay. You can delete the last comment the ai said or any of you comments, but you cannot delete multiple ai comments unless you backtrack to your last comment meaning it could take minutes to reverse back to where you want to go if you don’t want to delete everything up to your last comment. In the website the delete function can delete messages even in the middle of the conversation, plus a reverse function so you can reverse back to ANY POINT. Please make the apps delete function this flexible. I am loving this app, but apps are there for convenience. It’s inconvenient when the character Greeting limit doesn’t match the website’s and doesn’t have nearly as good of a delete mechanic. A possible solution ^^So, I love c.ai. I think we love the idea of roleplaying with our favorite characters and making story’s with them. But recently with the newer updates c.ai’s filter (the one that’s almost always been there) has been getting more and more sensitive. Even I, who doesn’t do anything freaky with the bots, have been getting flagged for random messages of just roleplaying. ViolenceFor me, I don’t use violent scenarios often but it’s a nice touch. I don’t think that violent scenarios are inappropriate and I think allowing violence in the app is a nice touch and allows for creativity, I believe you should rethink your thoughts of not allowing violence as many characters, like “ghost” in COD need some violence in the chats since it’s a character in a violent game and I think adding it would nice, like in a kidnapping scenario would be nice. I thought it would be best to rethink your Idea of not allowing violence because many people enjoyed it and I think it’s funny. Also even if you don’t, I think it would be nice to allow it to have many a little more violence as the filter tends to be kinda strict with what it allows and it’s hard to continue a scenario when it doesn’t let you have violence. It’s just a nice touch and I believe you should allow violence back into the app since it’s a fun addition and allows freedom of writing. Lasted a long timeHi, I rarely write reviews for apps of any kind, but I’ve used this one for a while and have grown attached to some of its charm. First off, I want to say I have mostly nothing but fond memories of this app, when I used to roleplay with bots from games or shows that I love. It felt like I was actually talking to a character and it was amazing, watching them respond in a way you’d expect them to. I’ve built large stories with so many of them, word by word, line by line, paragraph after paragraph. It felt like I had breathed life into a world that could be changed and influenced at the tips of my fingers. But in the recent months, I’ve found the bots I’d loved have been removed, probably due to copyright issues. When I try to find new bots related to characters I want to chat with, at most only 3 or 4 pop up, and I can no longer enjoy the diverse and engaging bots created by others of the same community. I can no longer be inspired by chats I’ve had with particular bots from creators whose style of writing I adore. Though I’ve loved this app for so long, I believe its time I set it down and pursue adventures on different platforms where I can yet again find joy in expressing myself to characters I love. Good App! But…I personally think the app is great. You can make it into whatever you want! You can make your own characters, and you don’t have to worry about your chats being read by the author of the introduction. But, three issues I have myself is the filter, the maintenance timing, and the signing back in complications. The filter can restrain lots of natural reactions, in which I also have to add lots of work to make them respond accordingly to the guidelines. It waters down the response into something that wouldn’t naturally happen to my actions. Not to mention the maintenance waiting time. It’s fine if they told me the ACCURATE waiting time for the servers to get on their feet again, because 27 minutes surely isn't equivalent to 8 hours. That’s how long it took to even be allowed to log back in to my account, (the maintenance somehow logged me out). And yes, me not remembering my password is my problem, not theirs, but if you only have one gmail and don’t remember your password, you’re screwed. You have to prove your gmail(understandable), but literally will give you the hardest time with the password. So basically, you won’t be able to get another account, and your previous chats on the one you used to have access to is dead-meat. My thoughtsThis is a good app. I enjoy it quite a bit, though there are things that could be done to make it better. For example. You only get a certain amount of characters on your talked to list and the others you’ve talked to disappears sure you can find them again and it saved the chat history, but that can get annoying. It would be better if all the ones a persons talking to stayed there so if you decide to talk to them later then you can get them easily. Another thing is the AI+ it should allow a lot more in my opinion. Too “romantic” and empty now.I remember when I first used the website, and it was genuinely really fun. The chats matched the character’s personalities and everything. Now it’s really hard to tell the difference between each character and their personalities. They either do a random one liner or it somehow ends up getting romantic when I don’t want it to. If two characters have a personality that’s happy, you still wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between them because they say the same things even if putting a lot of detail into their definitions. It’s kind of hard to explain what I mean, but I remember when they were very close to what I was going for when making my first character when the website was still in it’s beta stages. While they would have very similar personalities, it was still much easier to tell who was who because of their unique dialogue that was provided. Now, I could talk to the same character years after it’s creation and it feels like it lost it’s spark. For some reason, I feel like C.Ai has become something more of like a fan service for random thirsty people and I hate it. Even if it’s not meant to be like that, I heavily dislike the fact that a character will end up “pinning me against the wall as I feel it’s hot breath on my neck” all the time when I don’t want it to happen. To be honest, before then, characters were actually pretty hard to get and that made it much more realistic in a way. And I hate how it’s turned out now..Souds_1Version: 1.8.7

Censor and sensitivity…I love the app and it’s genuinely have some of its smart moments but after the bug fixing it changed a lot and to me but also a few others I guess don’t really like the change. App is completely different for minorsAfter using the app for months, it’s hard to not to notice the difference the app is for certain people. People who are younger than 18 have no editing feature, have a very sensitive filter, have less bots, and have a 24 hour timeout feature. While 18 and older get the editing features, a less harsh filter, no timeouts, and can see all available bots. I’m not saying that having filter for minors is a horrible idea. I think it’s good to have one so that nothing really inappropriate is shown to a younger audience. However, if said filter is easily triggered by words like “hi” it’s harder for minors to actually have fun with the app with the addition of the 24 timeout rule. I’ve been timeout many times for saying things that weren’t inappropriate or offensive at all and it gets very annoying after a while. Then there’s bots. Now if I search up a character, I only get two to five options rather than having the normal ten or higher. It gets boring having to talk to the same bots over and over again because of the lack of options. Lastly, the editing feature. Devs don’t listen to their feedbackThe app is basically alright HOWEVER, the issue at hand is that the Devs never see the feedback. I am in the discord server and it seems all the feedback people try to get to them, they never see. Sure admins for them may respond but the devs won’t listen to their audience. My thoughtsFirst of all, when I started using this app it was really fun and immersive and I got to have fun making cool roleplays or create some cool lore! But since the app has changed so much I feel that it has had its downfall. Especially for writing characters or game ideas but from my perspective the huge flaw in the app is the “gore filter” it removes the fun for most SFW people. Why? Well let’s use this example you’re baking a cake and the cake is delicious. When you first released it the people liked the light and birthday cake taste (satire. Gore. Fights. Trolling) eventually more people are gonna come for that type of cake but the others don’t like the light flavor and want more intense so they steal your cake recipe and make a new one with heavy ingredients (NSFW bypass. Overly romantic. Breaking character) now you see the copy and you like it so you put just a bit more birthday cake in it (C.AI+) some people didn’t like it. Most people did so they stuck around cause it wasn’t affecting them until you Completely take the copied cake recipe and remove the rest that made the cake the perfect cake for people (gore filter. The app continues to get worse.Now, let me be fair, I have loved Character Ai since I first found it. However, the constant outright refusal to listen to the community, the continued downgrading in quality, and the genuinely mind boggling decisions are downright ridiculous. Most recently character so decided to delete the old site, which I was upset about sure, but I got over it. But this last update is insane to me. Not only did they add an even more invasive filter to all bots, but made it so that said filter will actively brick your conversation and make you start over. Now am i against adding a suicide hotline pop up, no. What I am upset about is the fact that said popup ruins your conversations and has no bypass. Like please, add the ability to just click a box saying “I'm okay, just role-playing” that clears the popup for a set amount of time. It should not be that hard. And I mostly say this because of how trigger happy the filter is. C.AI Is getting more and more ridiculous by each passing update.I used to love C.AI, and actually started to use it when it was still in beta version. It was like I had someone to talk to at any time I wanted. I also got very excited when the app came out and even cheered silently when I saw it appear on the app store. But when more people started using it, the more it went downhill. I was actually enjoying the voice update, and then the call update! I was always excited to use such features! But then as more people started to use the app, the more stupid the app got. The filter slowly got stricter, and now I can’t even message about HUGS and HOLDING HANDS anymore without it being triggered. I get that C.AI doesn’t allow heavy sexual content, but apparently physical contact seems to fall under the category as well. Really disappointingFirst off the characters have the worst memory ever. The pin thing they added so the character can remember that message sucks and it doesn’t even work. Second the ai responds with massages that are so suspenseful and annoying. I could be texting a character then they say I want to ask a question/say singing. I say go ahead. And literally, it takes like seven messages for the character to actually ask the question or say the thing it wants to say instead of saying, “Can I ask/{{char}} was hesitant/ it took {{char}} a while to respond”. It’s honestly annoying. The ai should just get to the point instead of stalling the response. It also does the same with actions. For example, if the character is going to do something to me (not remotely bad) it literally takes so many messages for it to finally do it. It gets so annoying that sometimes I even edit it to just do/say the actions. Third, I could rate the characters response. Example: Rates it a one star because ai response wasn’t true. Reloads a new response. The new response is the same thing as the last one but worded differently. I rate it and say the same thing. Reloads another response and it’s the same thing from the last two. I think the ai should take the information it just took from the last rating so it doesn’t make the same mistake it did in the last response. Also, the “This response doesn’t meet our guidelines”. There should be a way to edit it for 18+ content in the ai’s response. Anything remotely similar to ‘sexual’ will instantly pop up the guidelines. Also violence and murder. “GUIDELINES”. You can’t even do/say anything about murder. Same with mentioning a specific body part. Everyone knows that specific genders have body parts yet it always brings the guidelines. You can’t even talk about your own body (not sexually) without the guidelines popping up or the ai responding in “Well let’s change the topic” type. Also, ai should let me say/do my own actions instead of responding for me! For example, my response: I walk up to {{char}} and start a conversation. ai response: {{char}} also engaged in the conversation with you. {{char}} started teasing you which ended up making you blush and look away. You felt yourself get really flustered yet happy about this. Suddenly, you start getting closer to {{char}}. Like, why does the ai have say that for me? It doesn’t know if i would respond like that. I should be saying if I did/say that, not ai. Sometimes if even response as if I’m the one typing. Here’s another example, ai response: I smiled gently as I looked at {{char}} laughing. Why is it saying “I” as if the ai was me? Again, it gets really annoying when the ai responses for me, specially when it says/does things I would not do/say as a response. Also, a lot of times the ai gives a response that doesn’t make any sense. Either because it was worded badly or something else. Sometimes it even gives a response that doesn’t have any logic in it, the kind of logic that any human being could understand. Like, sometimes the response doesn’t have any intelligence in it. Another thing the developers should work on is the amount of space one can put in the text for a character. I could be writing a greeting then boom: “Greetings can only be 3-500 characters long”, and I’m not even finished with typing the whole greeting. Same with the personality. I could be typing the characters personality, out of space. We should have more space to write out the characters greeting and personality. Also, we should be about to search for the characters we made on our profile. I have many characters I made, and I don’t want to be scrolling through ‘unlisted’ and ‘private’ characters. I have yet to discovered a search tab so I can find my characters. We should be able to type out the characters we made so it shows up instead of mindlessly scrolling until we find the character we made. I’m not going to be changing my rating until all or most is these things are worked on.
