Running Log Lite App Comments & Reviews

Running Log Lite Positive Reviews

Easy to track, some faultsI really like this app to track my runs. It is simple does the math for me. However, it has some glitches that need improvement. 1. The “Weekly Summary” counts runs from Sunday through Sunday so when you look at the total miles it has an extra day (if you run on Sundays). If you toggle from one week to the next, the same run is counted in both weeks. 2. The Average Pace function just produces an average of all of your average paces in each run. So if you take a 1 mile run one day at a 5 minute mile and a 9 mile run the next day at a 10 minute mile, it says your average pace is 7:30/mile. When in fact you ran 10 miles over 95 minutes for a pace of 9:30/mile. Significantly different (even if my math isn’t spot on). As long as you realize those two imperfections and don’t rely on them to track your progress and data, the app is perfect :).Version: 3.0

Almost thereA few things would dramatically improve this app. First, test it on iPhone 5. Data entry is very difficult because the dialog box is obscured by the keyboard. Put the the entry boxes at the top of the screen to eliminate this problem. Also I usually run outside so high contrast colors would be better for the sun. Another great addition woud be to tag a day as the day you got new sneakers. I like know how many miles are on my shoes when I am thinking of replacing them. I run with my dog, and I tag those days as "group run". It would be great to easily see how many group miles I have done.Version: 2.2

Best Casual App I’ve foundI just wanted an app that I can record time and distance myself without just making a spreadsheet, but all over running apps I used seemed to want to do too much. The free version of this app though is perfect for wanting to just record your runs and even includes effort levels, can add notes, see weekly/monthly averages, and other simple things that are perfect for someone who knows their own training plan, or doesn’t use one, to record actual runs and evaluate results later..Version: 3.1

Really like this app! This is the first app I’ve found in which it has a calendar that tags the days you’ve been active to give you an overall view. I’ve been looking for a long time but I finally found one. Also, I like how it gives you the different input options. When I think about my training, that’s the information I want to look back at. I would also suggest giving an input option on when you start a new pair of trainers and then track how many miles they go until getting a new pair. Overall I really like this app!.Version: 2.2

Great way to track my training runs and weekly milesLike the app for the most part. I have the free version. While my Garmin also tracks my miles, I like this because it allows me to study my weekly mileage and average space in an easy to read graph. My only complaint is that it doesn’t let me record when I do multiple runs in one day for training separately, I have to average them together.Version: 3.3

Nice Running OverviewFound app via Google search. Installed, added some data, and really liked the overview of the month, especially the monthly pace. Nice color coded days. Someone mentioned that the ads were annoying...these folks need some type of reimbursement for their time and effort. Plan on buying the ad free version as a "thank you" to the developers. I hope they implement the latest suggestions in the comment section. 👊🏾 ✌🏾.Version: 2.2

Best non social media app to track runningI have been using this app for over ten years. A little less consistent with using it in the past years after having a baby but it is my favorite non social media app. The data is just for you and I love the way that it is organized as a calendar view so you can more easily identify patterns in your training..Version: 3.2

Just 1 Problem!!!This app is really great but there's just one problem! My running weeks start on MONDAYS not SUNDAYS. Please have an option to change the day that the week starts, because when my coach or someone else asks "how many miles did you get in this week?", I have to subtract the Sunday mileage and add the next Sunday's mileage. I realize there hasn't been an update for over a year, but hopefully an update will come! Thank you very much..Version: 2.2

Great App!! Use it to log every run.One of my main exercise Apps. I have used it for 10 years+/- to log all of my runs. Yes I can get information from my Garmin but with this I can log notes on how I feel, weather, course conditions, etc., but also there is some very satisfying about marking down your progress. You can export the data into Excel..Version: 3.3

Great manual tracking app! This is a fantastic app! I’ve used it to track all of my runs in 2020 through now. It allows for a single source to record all runs. I just transfer the route times from my GPS Watch as well as everything before then. Plus you can email these out to yourself as an excel spreadsheet! Super cool. I can’t recommend enough. Get it and use it! Thanks.Version: 3.1

One FlawI have used this app for 11 years and love almost everything about it. The only flaw is that the weeks are 8 days long which makes no sense and makes it useless for looking at weekly mileage. I know I can still figure it out, but it serves no purpose. It should just be Sunday to Saturday or Monday to Sunday. Otherwise it is simple but very well done..Version: 3.1

ReviewI have only been using the app for a few days, so I will come back and update you in a few weeks. However, it has been a great addition to my runs and has already shown me a few of my weak spots by allowing me to reflect right after a run. Also, I can't lose these notes..Version: 3.1

Running LogI find it is the best way to keep track of my excise and running. I would tell people and my family and friends to use it. I would like to find away to transfer from my iPhone to my new IPad To keep both updtated. So they match.. Is their away or a newer running log in the App Store ..Version: 3.3

Great for Tracking RunsI like being able to easily look at the calendar to see the basic information of when I ran last, what distance, and what my time was. You can also add detail about the conditions of the run and even your effort level that day..Version: 3.3

Needs one improvementI enjoy this app and I’ve been using it for years. There’s only one thing I dislike - it needs a better way to look back at previous years. You can only look back by scrolling one month at a time. It needs a way to jump back to view previous years by years..Version: 3.2

Helpful AppI am a new runner and am enjoying a place where I can easily log runs and see a nice summary of each run, weekly, monthly and probably yearly when I hit that mark! I’ve been using this app for several months now, super easy to use to keep track of distance and pace. It’s nice to see my progress easily in one place!.Version: 3.1

Manual Running Log 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼I like this program, which I have been using for 2+ years. It gives me a quick snap shot of what days each week I worked out in a glance. If I do speed work / weights I write my workout in the notes. Then I can go back and do it again in the future, which I have definitely done before..Version: 3.1

Almost thereThis app is great for recording overall mileage from a particular workout. It even gives you a ‘notes’ section so you can write feedback from your run. The one thing I would change is that there’s no feature to write in your overall workout duration, only your run duration. I’d like the ability to track more information..Version: 2.2

Simple Run TrackerI’ve been using Running Log for a while now and I like how it’s just a simple place to keep track of my miles and notes. The summary options of viewing miles by day, week, month, year or all time are also very helpful for keeping me okay track with training and goal mileage goals..Version: 3.0

Works Great for a Free AppFor a free tracker app, it works great. However, the ad pop ups during entries and immediately upon opening the app is frustrating to me. I’ve been using this app since 2018 and I really don’t need anything additional to keep track of my weekly, monthly and annual miles. Overall, I think it’s a great app for your basic records..Version: 3.3

Easy to use a running journalLove the way this app works! For years I have been writing a running journal with my training. It has been good to keep it but since I discovered this awesome app. I am becoming more high tech. Thanks! What I like is that I can import the data to my email Well done creators!.Version: 3.2

Not complicated at allI’m using this app because I don’t want to log everything on actual journals. It lays out the month and shows me quick slides of the day so if I do doubles I can see them. Only problem is the weekly mileage tracker that seems to count Sunday’s twice, once you guys fix that this will be a 5 star app.Version: 3.1

Great, but I have some suggestionsThis is a great app, but I really wish it would sync with the Activity app on my Apple Watch and automatically import my runs. I also wish it would allow me to input some of the cross training exercises I do, even if they were just under one general cross training category (that had its own color on the calendar too)..Version: 2.2

Could be betterI have used this app for years now. I like it, but it could be better. The options for type of run should definitely include "tempo" (a type every serious runner does) and "negative splits." The second issue is the video ads. They are loud and obnoxious if I input my run while I am in public and they are clearly not geared for me. I am a 35 year old woman so chances are, I don't play war games...especially not on my phone..Version: 2.2

Functional LogThis app does what it says it will do. Want a place to manually log you time & distances, this will get it done. Some nice summary & export options included. Not a bunch of frills or fluff, just a solid app for runners who don't always trust the super fancy mega uploading watch that does your laundry too. * I would like it if the App could have a 'Trail Run' added under type of run...PLEASE?! *.Version: 2.2

Good product if looking to just log miles runningI’ve just been looking for a way to log miles and times since I set a new year resolution of running over 1000 miles in 2022. This allows you to track mileage and time..Version: 3.1

Works fine for meJust started using this to log the weather and the clothing I wear on my run. I live in Michigan and the weather changes so much that sometimes I end up over or under dressed. I would like to avoid this if possible so I thought I would start keeping track. Would be nice for spots to record these. I put it in the notes..Version: 2.2

Running LogI love the app and have enjoyed it. It’s simple and not overdone so I think it’s wonderful. Be careful adding too much advertising. I understand you need to earn an income but too much advertising can get so irritating that the app can become less attractive.Version: 3.2

Go to treadmill trackerThis app is my go to for basic treadmill run tracking. I love and would highly recommend it. The only issue that I have with this app is that it takes time for your latest run to sync with your previous runs. If the makers can fix that I would give it a 5-star rating..Version: 3.1

Love this simple app!I have been old school for logs forever, pen & paper. This app is great because it is simple — I don’t need it to integrate with my watch or anything fancy and I still like inputting the data by hand; it is rewarding. But the digital visuals (especially calendar view) are something I don’t get with paper logs..Version: 3.0

GoodThanks for making this app. I enjoy logging my runs and other notes in this app. It makes it easier to keep track of my runs-seeing an overview of my runs in the weeks and month..Version: 3.2

I love this appQuick and easy way to log. Very simple. I wish the graphs lined up better to be seen. I think some of my 20 mile runs throughs it out of loop. Maybe a full screen graph view option. Thank you guys for your time❤️🙏.Version: 3.3

Solid app for journaling runs.App is easy to use and simple. It was what I needed to track my runs. An improvement would be if it could give you a chart of weekly and monthly totals. Otherwise, works well for me!.Version: 2.2

Nice, simple appThis is just what i was looking for to keep track of my runs. Clean interface, no excess bells and whistles. I agree with the other commenter though, i wish this app would let me change when my running week “starts” but overall, solid app..Version: 2.2

Great app! Accountability 5 starsThis is a great app not only to track you miles but it also keeps me accountable as I can track how many workouts I do each week and month. I’ve been using this for over 5 yrs and it’s kept me on track. Easy to use!.Version: 3.1

Refreshingly only the essentialsI really just wanted a basic app to log my runs and check my progress without having a million other features, so this fit the bill. That being said, it could look cleaner, and the ads over the entire screen is a bit obnoxious..Version: 2.2

I love this appI love this app and we recommend it to my friends. There are only a couple of areas I recommend for improvement. (1) Make the week view from Sun to Sat and not Sun to the next Sun. That’s in accurate. (2) Please provide a way to delete routes..Version: 3.3

Simple to useI like the simplicity of this app and use it daily for an activity log as well as keeping track of how many miles I have run. The information is easy to down load and submit miles for a virtual run..Version: 3.0

Update not very goodLove this program overall but in the latest update when I go to enter data on my iPad mini the keyboard blocks the entry areas so you can't see what you are typing. Never used to be this way until this update n.Version: 2.2

RunI love using this app to keep overall track of my runs. When I’m training I can keep track of my average pace and time by looking at the summary. It’s easy to just look at it all for a glance..Version: 3.3

Worth itIts a good app so far. It does everything I want it to. I think it would be good if they added a terrain category. Like whether you're running on asphalt, sand, gravel, trails, ect. Not perfect, but it is also free. I would recommend it though, it's worth what you pay for it..Version: 2.2

Great, easy to use log.I just wanted an easy place to record runs/walks and this fits the bill. Simple interface and easy to record, reminders are a plus..Version: 3.3

Love the straightforward mile log without gpsI really like this app! The straightforward mile tracking without gps is exactly what I need. I have used it for years even through training for a marathon..Version: 3.1

Just what I neededI wanted a simple app to track my runs that didn’t connect to a gps, and it’s perfect! It’s great for my marathon training, since I can track other details about my run like the route and difficulty level..Version: 3.0

Outstanding!I think this app is amazing! It works very well and is good when your trying to keep track of your miles! Personally, I use this for my Winter Run Club at my school, to help keep track of my miles and, on the weekends help remind me to run..Version: 2.2

KudosExactly what I wanted! I have used various apps, that either have too much or not enough flexibility to change important variables. This one is staying on my phone and helping me see my runs in an easy user interface!.Version: 2.2

Simple and perfect for my needsI can simply and easily track my daily treadmill distances in seconds..Version: 2.2

AwesomeLove it.Version: 3.3

Great app!Easy to use, great for tracking and progress!.Version: 3.1

Simple trackerEasy-as-pie run tracker that keeps you honest and fit. Highly recommended..Version: 3.1

Easy to useQuick easy way to keep track of mileage. Wish there was a way to track 2 a day’s separately.Version: 3.1

Excellent running logA great companion to keep your records and keep you going.Version: 3.1

Running appFabulous, been tracking my runs and exercise for years. Easy to refer back to your data as all runners love to do from time to time!.Version: 3.0

Easy to useEasy to use and maintain! Been using for a year now to maintain my running log.Version: 3.0

Great AppEasy to use. Great layout. One thing I thought I could use is a different colour in the background depending on difficulty..Version: 3.0

Need longer notes section. Was looking to write up a race report as I have been tracking training on this app and I can’t scroll to bottom of three paragraphs to read my notes. Not useable with that limitation..Version: 2.2

Simple appEasy to use and very functional. But come on guys, a week is 7 days long (Sun to Sat), not 8 days which includes 2 Sundays. This messes up my weekly mileage totals. Surely you can fix this..Version: 2.2

Good little appGood simple app to track mileage. Hopefully the creators see this part. Only problem is the weekly summary. It tracks 8 days (includes two Sundays). Would be nice to see a fix..Version: 2.2

RunnerGreat app very functional. Please fix time of day that you ran if you input it at a later time. And it would be very helpful to have a mile counter from the time you used new shoes or have a spot that you can input which shoes you wore and have it keep track of mileage. Other than that I love it..Version: 1.4

DecentReally really bothers me though that the week is sunday to sat. I think of a running week as mon to sun with my week ending with my long run. Also, wish I could enter "walk" Asa different color than run on the calendar.Version: 2.2

Great way to keep track of your runs!I run in Canada an the USA. While in USA I do not use my iPhone app due to data charges. Since I run in USA I need a place to centralize my runs! This program is perfect! You can easily log your runs plus you can see how far you have run by week, month and year! This app really fills a need for me and it is easy to use!.Version: 2.2

Cross CountryThis is perfect for me to start training my self for cross country. Even though its along way to go!!.Version: 1.4

PerfectI have been using it for 7 months and love it. Easy to keep track of my times and km's. Also love how quick it is to see my weekly monthly and grand totals. It's perfect..Version: 1.4

Awesome!I just downloaded Running Log Lite and I LOVE IT! I logged a few of my runs and I loves all the details that you can add to your run log like Effort Level and Route Name. I am upgrading to the full version when I buy my new ipod touch 4gen. Hope all you runners out there love this app, cause I sure do!.Version: 1.4

MrGood app.. Keeps you accountable..but, i cannot get it to record the proper time.. Have to enter 4 hours earlier than shows after i save it..Version: 1.4

Great app. This app is awesome and there is absolutely no need to upgrade. It gives you everything you need to log your runs. Overall, amazing app!!!!!!!.Version: 1.4

Mr.Great, simple app. Perfect for tracking/logging your times. The time of day functionality needs to be fixed..Version: 1.4

Love this app !I think this application is very useful and i use it daily.Version: 1.4

Great app!Very handy :).Version: 1.4

Time fcn needs attentionPlease fix the time function. Otherwise, it's a great app..Version: 1.4

Same problem as Crazykid27I tried to say that I ran at 4, but the app said I ran at 8 . Had to put that I ran at 12 to get it to say 4. Beside that, it's a great app..Version: 1.4

Running trackerThis app is great the only problem that I have with it is recording the time of day that I ran. I wanted to put into the tracker 2 pm but in the program I had to set it to 11 pm for it to show that I ran at 2..Version: 1.4
