There are two exceptions one is the Macy’s money. I always feel like I am getting ripped off by getting Macy’s money using it and then if something gets returned they subtract that amount. It should be absolutely a bonus based on how much you spend! This is especially true if I give something as a gift and it needs to be returned or exchanged. It is a mortifying thought that somebody would then have value discounted.
The other exception is Macy’s customer service for online orders. Usually it is great but the other day I had a horrible experience. There was a cosmetic advertisement on the Macy’s banner advertising a free bonus for any moisturizer purchase. I ordered a moisturizer but the bonus did not go into my shopping cart. When I talked to a customer service person they said that the banner was wrong that it only covered certain moisturizers. But there was nowhere on the advertisement even on the back screen that had exceptions to what moisturizer would need to be purchased. I argued that that since the advertisement said “ANY“ moisturizer that they should honor it and give me the bonus. They agreed but said they couldn’t do that. I spoke with five people including two supervisors and both times the supervisors ended up “disconnecting” me! It was maddening and frustrating and never got resolved.DreemseekrVersion: 5.16.1
Must Download for Macy’s Shoppers!I’ve been shopping at Macy's for years if not decades, and only recently discovered their app, but thank god I did because honestly it’s a complete game-changer! I was relieved by how seamlessly the app included their star rewards program, it’s so much easier to track my points and see my progress towards the next tier, rather than having to just guess or sometimes even bother the employees in store. I can also manage my Macy’s card payments directly from the app which is really convenient. I especially recommend the wallet feature—it organizes all my offers for me and automatically applies the best one at checkout instead of their emails going straight to my spam folder (which I always forget to check). Shopping on this app genuinely feels like a VIP experience, and it’s lovely to finally feel more taken care of by a company I’ve been loyal to for so long. LOVE Macy’sI love Macy’s app. I wish I would’ve never discovered this app so I can be much richer now. Anyway, the app is good, however, it crashes on long searches. Nordstrom’s app is better in that. Hardly ever crashes on long lists and very stable around holidays. Macy’s app can slow down when everybody shop around holidays. Not sure whether it is an app or Macy’s network in general. For example, New Arrivals without filters. It is a long list and the app is unable to pull it and crashes half way through. Very annoying. Also, used to be able to keep items in the shopping cart forever up until the items are gone. Not anymore. It times out and all the items are gone then I have to search for them or add them again. Not cool. Nordstrom , Saks’s - they allow to keep items in the shopping cart until I decide what to do with the items. Also, I would like to have notifications sent to my phone about prices drop on my wish list. I know this option is available but I don’t see notifications. I shop in Macy’s for particular brands and those brands are usually being watched by other shoppers so I want to be notified by message rather than email when items on my wish list are dropped or about to be dropped so I can make a decision. I shop online 70% to - 80% of my overall shopping time. Phone apps are bid deal now even more than web. To save me time , as I am busy professional, I need more filters in my search and a quick look option like Nordstrom’s app does. It allows for scrolling the pictures without clicking on it. When you click on the pictures the app takes you to the item’s full profile. It takes additional time that I don’t want to waste. Check out Nordstrom’s app and do something similar. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is a non-profit which supports those who have lost a loved one and those dealing with personal struggles. Sucide in high school is increasing. It’s the second leading cause of death. I would’ve never imagined my son taking his life. Living in Hollywood working for an A-list actor. The phone call received telling you the bad news is the most worst thing I’ve ever been through and I don’t want anyone else to receive the most devastating call that affects the rest of your life. I have suffered a lot of pain and been hospitalized two times since his passing in 2013.
I’ve received many email address and the information is not available for my particular question. Very Disappointed!!!!!Rated with 4 stars bc I tried multiple times rating it with 1 start but Macys kept deleting my review and never let it through. Why does it take sooo long for Macys to give you the correct current balance as you make online purchases? Interesting to me that the available credit rarely match the current balance. This has been an issue to me since I’ve been a member for 2 years. I believe they do it on purpose because Psychologically as you see that you own a lower balance than what is expected, you are tempted to buy more, also making it more confusing/harder to track the balance. They are purposely behind updating the current balance at least 99% of the time. Additionally, I just realized that I paid on interest charge last year even after making all complete payments on time. Platinum Member and their statement/balance is hard to track. Hackable? Perhaps...So I am a big Macys shopper, and I loved this app from when I first installed a year or two ago. Very convenient, between my list and my cart, it was easy to select and move items. Loved the search, really truly loved this app. When it was updated to include a dashboard recently I was thrilled. It called up recent activity and orders for me without my having to login. But to actually place an order login was required. One evening i placed like 10 pairs of boots in my cart for consideration. When I came back the next morning to narrow it down and place the order, my cart was empty. Strange. I clicked recent orders and found an order had been placed that morning. Hmmm. The order was for a $200 pair of sneakers ( not my style or size) and shipped to an address in LA (I'm in NY). THEN I noticed they'd changed the billing address, email and phone number. Attention to larger sleeves.As a plus size grandma, I have noticed sleeves on all clothing gets narrower/ smaller all the time. We have lost the firm upper arms of our youths. The sleeves are also being too short. Almost elbow with more room shoulders are most desirable. I like it that they offering a 60/40 blend of cotton for almost all plus size shirts . A dropped or dolman sleeve is the most desirable. If my upper arms show, I pass the shirts and dresses. Also the 50” long dresses swallow me ! I like midi, but I am usually a 1 x on the bottom and at least a 3-4 x on top. Since most American clothing is now made in China, the question of quality of the fabric and workmanship have dropped exponentially. I know most Asian women have arms like matchsticks, but American women are much larger, especially in the upper arm area. 3/4 sleeves are most desirable. PUerto Rico needs to cancel MacysToday I found out the inconvenience of trying to buy products from Macys in PR. They dont ship most items to PR even when it is a US territory that uses the same mailing systems as the states. The Items are available to ship to my address in mainland but not PR. On top of it, their CS employee are not trained properly (mostly because they are far away in India and somehow the idiot send there to oversee operations is an incompeten person. Thats the only logical explanation). Without getting started on the app and web engineers who are costing a lot of money to Macys. PR is the only territory of the US where every single american store in the Island is the location with most sale (thats why Kmart, sears and JC Penny have never close in PR until recently (last Kmarts). As the matter of fact Macys PR is one of their most productive locations, yet they do not ship items here (in particular items on sale). The practice is Ilegal, smells like consumer fraud with a side of a breach to comercial clause on the Constitution. Disappointing serviceFor the first time I opted for a store pick up ordered thru the app, relying to this app the product is showing delivered already in the store sitting there for 6 days but no updates if ready for pick up, I drove 6 miles to the store to inquire about it ,went to customer service they said it’s not ready and the person to process it is not there, I went to the department to just repurchase it but actually the sales associate found my package and tried to scan to process it, but it is saying not reserve yet even the package has my name on it, in short i drove 6 miles back home empty handed coz nobody know how to do it… waited another day check this app for updates of my order/ pick up updates, nothing … no email update as well, now Im on hold for 49 minutes on the phone for customer service…. Poor App DevelopmentI have been a Macy’s customer for over 10 years. I love being able to browse and purchase items with the app. Unfortunately the “wallet” section is a disaster. Every time I try to go to the credit card payment page it gets stuck on the loading screen for 5 minutes or indefinitely. It’s a crap shoot. If/when it final goes through and you click review payments, or any other tab, it goes into a frozen state of loading again. I always have to close out and just go on my laptop to the full website. Even that payment area sometimes freezes! For over a year I have updated the app and waited for bugs to be fixed, and they have not been. I do not recommend using this app to track your Macy’s credit card and make payments in anyway. I do have one complaint I had to return something and I didn’t have my debit card used with me when I initially purchased it and they gave me a difficult time refunding cash to me. Because it was a debit card the the amount was immediately deducted from my bank account, this paid in full. And, they didn’t want to return cash money. I had to show the manager my bank account in my phone showing was charged for the items. It was insulting and unnecessary. Since I used a debit card it is the same as cash and I am entitled to the refund how I prefer not the store. If this happens I will boycott Macy’s and tell my story to all my friends and family and have them boycott Macy’s as well. We have investigated the order in question and concluded that due to excessive claims of non receipt, we will be unable to credit or reship your merchandise. Additionally, we will no longer be able to process any reshipment or credit to this billing name and address.

Just go to the store if you want to purchase. You are responsible for missing packages. I asked if they could just leave for store pick up but rep said for the inconvenience they’ll reship. Then they send to the wrong address in another state!!

Terrible!!!!The app is not working properly. Processed my order with many errors over and over. When I called to get support was held on hold fo 38 minutes. Then when was able to finally speak to support was told that my problem had to be transferred to a different department. Of course I got hung up on. Called back now getting very close to 1 pm cutoff for the sale and again took over 15 minutes to go through all the prompts before getting to “right” Department..... again I hold, another 24 minutes later.... finally speaking to a live person and describing the terrible wait and hung up situation to be told one again that he had to transfer me. Macys decreasing quality and valueSince becoming a regular, online Macy’s shopper I have noticed that the name brands are great but the quality of the items shipped are always in ‘rough’ shape. I have ordered clothing from the Calvin Klein and Michael Kors clothing line from Macy’s. The Calvin Klein swimsuit that I had ordered has a thick lining to the bust area. The lining was twisted outward and I was unable to fix it. The Michael Kors top that I had ordered has an elastic neckline with a chain detail, the elastic was broken and required sewing. I have been disappointed with the condition that the clothing is being shipped in. I have since stopped buying clothing online at Macy’s and just stick to purchasing my Estée Lauder make up necessities and that’s it. Macy’s rarely has sales on fragrance and cosmetics so I use the coupons sent with my monthly Macy’s beauty box. Horrible customer service.Macy’s customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. After multiple attempts to buy a handbag over the telephone, the final one I was trying to buy was the wrong one ordered as i discovered when I looked at the email order.
I called back to address the irritating and unnecessary problem and was passed from one person to another because an “error” message showed up which apparently no one understood and i was put on hold multiple tones while being forwarded from one person to another. Ultimately, they hung up on me. I gave up and had to go to the store to get the issue solved.
A very basic problem was non English speaking customer service people which made the whole process even worse.

Scanning needs workI downloaded this app so I could scan numerous items before deciding what to buy. Macy's has connected the scanning operation with the purchase operation, so that everything you scan goes into your "shopping bag".
After scanning several items you reach your credit card limit. Then you have to go into your "shopping bag" and remove everything. That's stupid.
Most people want to scan stuff in order to decide whether to buy it -- not to buy it!! How do I know if I want to buy it before I scan it? You gotta fix this.
What would be better is to have all the scanned stuff go into a "scanned" list so you could compare and then select specific items for purchase - either onsite or online. Clearing the Scanned list should be doable per item (by swiping left, as it is now) and a one-button "Clear all" operation.

Somewhat irksome with new updatesThe Macy’s app has always been one of my go-to shopping tools, but the recent updates have made it somewhat irksome to use. Navigation feels less intuitive, with extra clicks required to find basic categories that were once easily accessible. The checkout process, which used to be smooth, now feels clunky and slows down the shopping experience. I also noticed the app loading slower than before, which is frustrating when browsing on the go. That said, Macy’s still offers an excellent range of products, and the app is convenient for order tracking, deals, and rewards. If the developers can streamline the user interface again, the app will return to being the reliable, hassle-free shopping tool it once was.

PerfumesEvery time we’ve shopped at Macy’s, we get attendant by great people. They have a great personality very kind. I did have a problem with just one. She’s a Puerto Rican lady that works there. So I try not to get an attended by her to this day. Other than that, everyone on the floor perfumes make up. Everyone is very attentive to everyone. So I like to take the time to thank Rasha. She works in the perfume. I’m not sure if I’m spelling her name correctly, but she’s a beautiful soul and very and explains everything. We leave that store with a smile in our face every time. Longtime Macy’s shopperI been shopping with Macy’s on and off for 20+ years. The problem is that I recently downloaded the app since some of my local stores closed and is difficult to get to. Anyways, I found a few different things to purchase (some curtains and a little table). I put them into the basket and proceed to check out. I have a gift card that I received to cover most of the balance and it gives ZERO options to put the card in. Even tried following the instructions through the FAQs and still nothing. I tried using my card without the gift card and it says that the items are not available or sold out and to remove the items. I do and come back a few hours later and even days later and they are still available. So I try again and gives me the exact same message as before. This has been going on for the last week or two. Even tried chatting with agent on the app and two on the phone. They even don’t know. I don’t know what is happening with them the last few weeks.
If any items are completely sold out or temporary sold out then the site should say that and should be given an option if the said item(s) will ever come back as available so the person doesn’t have to waste their time. CategoriesI love Macy’s as is always my go to store for clothing, shoes and decor. However, I have to say I don’t like a change they made in their app. When you go to your Favorites it used to have the icon of each category I had created, ex: Kitchen, Gym Clothes, shoes, winter Coats, Purses, Dresses etc. so I will click in any of the categories and it will show me the items I put in that category. Well, now with the update it doesn’t do that. First it show me category “kitchen” and I have to scroll down to all those items to see the next one like for example “Gym clothes “ then I keep scrolling thru all the items to go to the next one. This is troublesome. Let’s say I want to see all the shoes I had like, I have to scroll down my other 5 categories to see the shoes list. By the time I finally see them I am annoyed. I think this was done on purpose so i am “forced” to scrolling down in each category and see all the items I have put in my favorites and maybe decide to put them in my cart to buy them. Believe me I don’t have time for that. If I know I want to buy shoes then let me click on the icon I create for that category and then show me only that. Don’t force me to scroll down thru all my categories. Please change this back as it was before an icon that you rename with the category and when I click on it to show me all the item I put as favorite under that category. Customer Service couldn’t be worseI bought from the App ,my funds were taken from my Card but order was canceled by Macys , once i got trough the automated system that Doesn’t allow you to Press 0 like in most companies to speak with a representative i was trown back and forward to different departments nobody was able to give me a proper Explanation as why this was happening , Never Had so much trouble trying to Buy anything online , hours of my time until i got to Consumer Protection where i was told my orders were Canceled for suspicious activity , Purchase was made securely and with my own personal phone ,not from an unrecognized source , I tried to put the same Order with one Representative on the Phone he got all my information and Process the Order again and i was Charged Again for the same transaction and guess what ? They cancelled it ,what a joke , had to call back again and they didnt know what to tell me anymore supposedly they are not holding my money they blame Chase as the Culprit in this whole Transactions i Called Chase and they stated there was nothing wrong with my Card both Purchases went trough without no problem , The money is no longer in my Account and Macy say is not liable for that money , What Type of Scam is this Macys , how can a company so big show so little care for their Customers ? Better than website at leastI decided to register for my upcoming wedding at Macy’s and after the initial registering online through the website, had nothing but issues and site glitches. The pages won’t load, and even when you do get it to work, when you click on the next page of your search nothing happens. So you might have 50 pages in a search but are limited to one page of it to select an item. So I then decided to download the app, thinking it’s gotta be easier there. Kind of... but not really. When you add things to your registry and tell it the number of items you want, sometimes it doesn’t even add them at all. If it does add them, it’ll add one to the registry, not the 4 you told it to. When you go to the registry, you can’t click on the registry item and easily change color options from there. You have to go back through the search process and re-find the item and re-select it that way. At one point I considered canning the whole registry at Macy’s because of how clunky the app AND website are to use and navigate. But instead just stuck with the very few items I had on there and will not be adding any more.
FIX THIS! Most people don’t have time, patience or the will to try to navigate your clunky and glitch filled website and app. At least have ONE reliable self service site.... wasted a lot of my time..425509Version: 7.0.0
Updates are NOT helpfulMost disappointing . Cuz of Covid, we were forced to shop online, it was made easy somewhat. Did not really like putting my Macys credit card info online. Did enjoy the Rewards. Haven’t order for a while. I placed an order online to go to my friend in Augusta, KS. She received them on time. I then went back into my orders & found 2 puzzles had been sent to my KS friend with PA address. Not only did i not Place the order , it was 2 puzzles. My friend is visually impaired. Very disappointedI always buy at Macys brand and quality are not in discussion but card system is a mess … I have spoken lately with 2 agents to correct my balance or rewards as they say. Can’t Scan UPC Barcode To See If Macy’s Carries Item, Let Alone To Price Check An Item?! What?!Tried to scan the UPC Barcode of an Item (a Nike branded “Dri-Fit, Club Cap”…aka a non-team affiliated baseball style hat) that I saw and liked while I was at/in another store/retailer. I tried to scan the hat’s official (ie. Original manufacturer’s’s) UPC barcode tag to see 1. If this was an item that Macy’s even carried, and #2. What Macy’s pricing was for the item, either in one of my local Macy’s stores or their online pricing, or even both, and received this “error” message in the [Macy’s] app: “Price Check is unavailable. You can only scan items when you're in or near a Macy's store.” What?! That seems like a missed opportunity [on a sale] Macy’s. Long-time customer - take screenshots.Macy’s has been one-and-only go-to for online department store purchases for many years. Until now. I recently spent 3-4 HOURS shopping on the app. I purchased regular price items as well as sale and clearance items. After confirmation, 15 to 20 of my items just disappeared from my order without any notification to me or communication from Macy’s. NOTHING. There is actually no evidence at all now of more than half my order in the app or by email; It’s like it never existed. Thankfully, I had taken screenshots of my order and confirmation as well as payment. After calling customer service, it was determined that many of the items must have no longer been available (even though they showed in stock on the app). I don’t typically spend hours shopping online, but this turned out to be a HUGE waste of my time and the fact that Macy’s just deleted everything like it never existed and then just didn’t communicate anything about it is totally unacceptable. Terrible Online Ordering ExperienceMacy’s is literally the worst ordering experience I’ve encountered. I placed two separate orders over the holiday season for separate items. One I waited on for fourteen days and the money was taken out of my account the day I placed the order on 12/11. I got an email saying the item shipped on 12/17. I received another email on 12/23 saying it was canceled due to being out of stock… The other large ticket item I ordered and again the money was taken out of my account. I received an email two days after saying the item was out of stock. I called customer service to inform them the money was not returned to my account. They advised me the “hold” would fall off my account in 7-10 days. It is Christmas time and nobody has time for this kind of nonsense. Why are you allowing orders to go through when the items aren’t available and then holding people’s money for this amount of time? 25% off first purchase is a scamI downloaded the app because after months of searching for a dress for an upcoming wedding I found one at Macy’s but it was too expensive so I checked for discounts online. I downloaded the app because it claimed the first purchase was 25% off. I tried creating an account but they told me I already had one connected to my email (not bc I had the app before just the regular one you get from ordering online) so when I clicked back to log in it wiped away the 25% discount. So, I decided to try again on my bfs phone we created him an account got the order to go through and arranged pick up and the following day got an email stating the order was canceled the discount was not reinstated and no explanation was given. Now I also ordered shoes from my regular account later when I realized I didn’t have shoes to match the dress that full price order went through fine. If I can’t get the dress I have no use for the shoes and am back at square one 10 days before the wedding. Macy’s Doesn’t DeliverMany, many times in the past year Macy’s has actually not delivered what I purchased through their app. Their items become stuck in shipping limbo for forever, and they leave it up to the consumer to contact them and let them know. If it happened once, no big deal - but it HAPPENS ALL THE TIME! Check and make sure you didn’t order something and forget about it, and it never arrived but you were still charged for it. They also are constantly running out of things and apparently never have the missing item in stock...
There is also no easy way to contact Macys. It always says “Chat Unavailable” so I have to dig around to try and find someone to notify. It is ridiculously difficult to let anyone know that you in fact did not receive the order you already paid for.
I have significantly reduced my Macys spend for this reason and will cease to purchase from them in the future. They are the only retailer I order from with this persistent problem. Macys needs to get it together and figure out how to be an online retailer..RezaqtVersion: 10.7.0
Alleged customer service with Macy’s credit cardIt took 45 minutes in phone calls only to be disconnected, and nothing accomplished. It’s bad enough being connected to a foreign country with a major communication gap. I tried to do the automatic system but it one point it asked me for my full Social Security number then a foreigner got on the phone and try to ask me for my Web ID, This was all through the Macy’s app. I clicked on the phone number to call I found it hard to believe that I was even talking to Macy’s after the information that was asked of me. So I went through Google and somehow was connected to the same site. Retailers are killing themselves off.Macys is joining the ranks of retailers that are (un)knowingly contributing to their own demise. Every time I come on the app looking for something (it was a suit last month and jeans today) they have all these items available until you apply the filters for available in a store today. All of a sudden we went from 325 matches based on color and size to 25 and only two brands with 95% of them being Levi’s. Everything else they’re happy to ship, but therein lies the problem: the whole appeal of B&M stores is I can get it right away. But if you never have what I need and I have to order it, it’s usually cheaper to order directly through the designer. Macy’s isn’t the only person running sales. Beyond that I was randomly banned they can’t tell me why but I was told for security reasons I’ve been banned and again for security reasons they won’t discuss it with me. So bad I closed my accountFor several months I’ve been trying to make a payment to my Macys/AMEX card and every time I do a little thing pops up saying attention no payment needed because you have a zero balance but on the app it says that I owed $80 and after a few months it was like you owe $160. Still, I was not able to make a payment through the app because it said I had a zero balance.
So unsure if I had a balance or not, I finally called was on hold for quite a while they apologized took the interest charges off. I paid $80 balance and then a week later just checking out to make sure everything was clear because I close my account I said I had a two dollar balance. Try to pay the stupid two dollars so that I don’t have to deal with customer service again. The thing popped up attention. You cannot make a payment when you have a zero balance. No longer dependableMy last two orders were a hot mess. They shipped very late, after their estimated arrival dates. I travel and having a package sitting outside in the weather doesn’t help me. That’s why I always make purchases based on estimated arrival dates.
Customer service was zero help. They outsourced it, and the reps have been hard to understand when I called. I work with many people of many cultures on a daily basis at work and I’m usually able to figure out what they’re saying. I don’t know if they all have poor home Internet or poor headsets or what.
In both cases after lengthy calls, they finally told me it would arrive after I was scheduled to leave on a trip. And in both cases, even though it hadn’t shipped and they didn’t know when it would ship, they couldn’t cancel it.
This order was for new luggage for my trip next week, and was supposed to arrive this week. When I called today, the rep stated it won’t even ship until after mid next week. That’s no good.
The app still says it will be here in the next few days. It’s out of date again.
I don’t order things to arrive at random dates, especially expensive items. Ordering from Macy’s is no longer acceptable.
I closed my Macy’s credit card today because of all the issues. It had been open since 2009.
I guess it’s just a matter of time before they go out of business. Literally everything I buy there I can buy somewhere else.

Recent update is very inconvenientThe new update is inconvenient and not user friendly. The features were definitely not upgraded keeping in mind for someone is who uses app regularly to find products. To begin: the list is collapsed all the time and if you have more than 2 list for number of family members in one account you will have keep scrolling and scrolling to find the price of item you saved to buy at some point in future. The bag items do not show actual price and coupon applied rug under. The placement of price and discount available is not apt for user to make decision. Earlier the view was compressed to view all items in the bag/cart. Now you just keep scrolling to see all the items.
I hope you make some improvements soon. The new updates are definitely not user/shopper friendly. In times like past 2 years consumers spend more time on phone app rather on laptop/website to look for products. ConfusedMacy’s emails me all day long . Okay. Trying to get my eye . Get it . How is it in the email you see something catch your eye and you push it to see the item and you can’t even find it . For endless emails I’m sent all day long I will say it is extremely frustrating!!! Stolen my moneyI tried multiple times rating it with 1 start but Macys kept deleting my review and never let it through. Why does it take sooo long for Macys to give you the correct current balance as you make online purchases? Interesting to me that the available credit rarely match the current balance. This has been an issue to me since l've been a member for 2 years. I believe they do it on purpose because Psychologically as you see that you own a lower balance than what is expected, you are tempted to buy more, also making it more confusing/harder to track the balance. They are purposely behind updating the current balance at least 99% of the time. Additionally, I just realized that I paid on interest charge last year even after making all complete payments on time. Platinum Member and their statement/balance is hard to track. Warming - Charges more than app showsBe careful if you use this app. Your credit card can be charged a different price than your cart reflects. I downloaded the Macy’s app after shopping online and seeing them advertise 25% off your first purchase using the app. I loaded my items in & checked out. The items reflected 25% off. Some were to be shipped, some picked up at store. When my shipment arrived, packing slip didn’t show discount. Assuming it was a mistake, I double checked. App order history now doesn’t show the 25% off that order and my card was charged the full (nondiscounted amount). I called the customer service line assuming it was a mistake. It’s clearly a 3rd party who answers their calls. They were beyond rude - interrupting me, telling me my items weren’t eligible for a discount, etc. After spending 40+ minutes on the phone, of being asked to explain over and over what had happened, I asked to speak to a manager. I was told she was in a meeting. All the supervisors were in a meeting, there was no one else I could talk to. Really? He laughed at me, said if I was unhappy I could call corporate. I was given a number to Macy’s corporate that routed me right back to the same call center. What a joke! So, I will return my items and NEVER shop Macy’s again. I am so frustrated that an order could be placed for one amount, I was charged a greater amount and nothing would be done about it because my call was lost in this circle. What have you done?! Awful update.This app used to be okay. It seems they recently tried to fix it, but made it absolutely worse. When browsing clothing or shoe categories, you can’t even access a filter for size. Go to women’s shoes, pick a category (I selected womenswear boots) and you aren’t able to pick a size. There is no size option under filter. There is a button next to “filters” saying size, but click in it - no options. Doing simple things like changing the color of a shoe makes it so that you can’t even look at the object because it disappears behind ads and options so you have to do loads of unnecessary scrolling. When you click on a color option for something, it shouldn’t navigate you away from it. You should be able to look at that thing. Look at any other site of any kind - when you click colors, you watch the color change immediately right where it is, without having to get back to the photo somehow. *Slightly* better than the websiteI want to love the app, but it really is too hard to do so. I downloaded the app as a way to avoid the horrendous website function, but I’ve found the app isn’t much better. Shopping bag empties, I have to sign in to my account Every. Single. Time. I go to a new search, or open my shopping bag, or exit the app for a brief time - that’s with the settings allowing me to stay signed in. Not to mention the fact that my password never shows up, even with Touch ID enabled. I’ve missed out on sales and discounts (part shame on me for coming down to the wire on time, part shame on you for not being reliable) due to these issues. The closest Macy’s to me is over an hour and a half away now, and as such, this is generally the only way I can be a customer. When this is the experience I get, I generally don’t even bother. Very bad phone customers serviceI have been shopping on Macy app for years but this is the first time I have the problem to use my star money when applied it on the app. That's why I try to call the customer service for help but the guy can't not solve my problem, he had no knowledge about anything that I asked. Done with Macys and AMEXThey changed the app and you can’t see the information like you could on the old app version. I had to call. Guess they severely lowered my credit limit on my cards and never properly notified me. When I called I got a rude immature kid handling my money and credit information. They lowered my $6000 limit down to $600. The rep told me they could not see that it was lowered. I’ve had the card for 13 years and proof it was that high years ago. Horrible Horrible appOmg…where do I begin? I’m a platinum AMEX member so I shop a lot from Macy’s. This app shut down in the middle of scrolling. If it says, 2000 items to review, it only goes to 1700 for the page tries to reload and it never goes past 1700. Forget about customizing your search for my phone gets so hot and the app freezes. I have iPhone 11 and it does fine with other shopping apps. Let’s just say I’m scrolling through items and as I come down, I see an item I like, when I click on it and go back to search page, it takes me all the way back to the beginning to the garden of Eden. This is ridiculous. Oh and when i try to click on the heart to add to my favorite, it always says “oops something went wrong”. So I either have to screenshot or add to cart and from there I have to “move to list”…such a hassle. I live in a small town where due to the “demographic”, our Macy’s doesn’t bring as nicer clothes as bay area or what’s on the app. On top of that, management has changed to where if you have a return, they wont return just all in one place, for shoes, you have to go to shoes, etc. i know there are guest services but it’s always so busy. Moreover, most of the times when items arrive, they are dirty. There was literally pubic hair in a Martha Steward “packed blanket” i received. Clothes that arrive are often dirty and ripped. Some items you can’t even return to Macy’s store for you have to return to vendor ONLY—what the heck is that all about. The sales associates have horrible attitudes ans lines are so long. And when I’m on the app, it gives me so much trouble. I stopped shopping. It keeps telling me the same password I have used is incorrect and it makes me so mad. It does that especially when I wanna pay off my credit card. Also when shopping for clothes, you keep scrolling and scrolling and never know when you’ll get to the end. Major problems with scan and payI’ve tried twice now on two separate occasions to use the scan and pay feature. In each case, I struggled with getting it to make the transaction work. In the first case, it complained that it wouldn’t accept the card and after a few attempts and wasting about 15 minutes and calling customer support, I had to go to the register to buy the item. To add insult to injury, it logged four transactions against my credit card vendor and I had spend time to ensure those wouldn’t debit my account. After repeated calls and my prompting, someone finally admitted that they were having system problems.
In the second case, I was trying to apply a gift card to my account as part of a scan and pay operation and it wouldn’t accept that. Again I called customer support who didn’t provide anything to resolve the problem.
