I found this app to be a fun place to buy coins. It does have some glitches once in a while but not often. Seems like banks don’t like transactions for each time you win a bid in a show. Wish it was set up to where it took the money out all at once at the end of the show. But I do see why they do that for each transaction. It’s so they make sure you have the money in there for each time you win so the seller isn’t left hanging trying to repost the item or wait on you to have all the money in the account. My bank limits me to 40 transactions a day so i have to switch to a different card once in a while. You need to be extremely cautious on what you bid and what the rules are for each show. Sit back and watch for a little bit before you swipe to bid. There’s usually Notes at the top that explain the auction. Money can go fast if you are not careful so don’t let emotions take over. I’ve ran into some sellers on here that are awesome and go above and beyond for customers and there are also sellers that sell absolute junk or deceptive and it’s not worth bidding on. Think of Whatnot as a bunch of booths and you are walking around to get a feel for what you like at first, you don’t have to bid on everything you see on there. Find a good group of sellers and buyers and stick to them. There are good people in the whatnot community you just have to find them.
Its fun until you encounter a problem, you tried to contact the seller, not much help, she advised to contact whatnot CS which I did. CS resolution is a joke. Such a hassle example: I bought 3 preloved tops from one seller for 5 dollars each. It was advertised as a bundle so it means that I will only pay one shipping fee. That was my first time buying from her. Three days after, I checked for tracking to know when the parcels will arrived and that's when I found out there were 3 shipping fees. I contacted the seller, she was aware that I paid 3 shipping fees and yet she did not bother to let me know and proceeded to ship it. So when I told her my concern, she told me about it and advised me to contact CS, for CS , they advised me to send a picture of the unopened boxes in a weighing scale in USPS to make sure it does not go beyond the weight limit. Mind you, the hassle of this all. It was a freaking 3 pieces of 5 dollar shirt. It will never be beyond 2 lbs. I was only requesting to waive the other 2 SF. It was actually the seller's fault. Deceitful and misinformation. On the other hand, Whatnot CS doesn't understand the time and effort ,we as buyers do to stay and bid. One thing, sellers tend to downplay the callouts. So bid and buy at your own risk. Camera doesn't really capture flaws of the items. Sellers tend to say "minor scratches/ little peeling/ little scuffing" "great condition" and when the item arrive...you'll see that the callouts are NOT SO LITTLE AFTERALL 🤣🤣
Hear me out/ before you form an opinion, spend some time and watch some streams. You’ll see such crazy deals you’ll feel skeptical (I was too,no doubt) yet what is incredible is the human beings running their streams blasted wThis is not a corporate entity out to scam you into thinking anything other than it’s a platform that is run by human beings all in different categories, with different personalities, and of course intentions. Almost 3 years ago I stumbled across a random link, blindly-spent a fortune- learned the ropes, kept the faith and I’m so glad I did. There is nothing I’d rather do or be a part of - even with the judgement and the rotten eggs/sellers pushing negative baseless news for views, I believe in this space and community- especially every other selller strong enough to keep going too. 80% of the faces you see are tiny business owners, single moms, young adults going after their dreams- these are the ones billed for give aways and all the “free things” that most everyone joins our community to grab with 0 intentions of support in any way. I speak for many when I say everyone is welcome and the support means everything.. please don’t just join for reasons I most do as I mentioned. On the same hand, please don’t buy because you feel guilty or bad. Enjoy the show, enjoy the hottest and unknown styles soon enough you’ll see the truth. I hope you find all that I have and cherish it as well. Hope you keep an open mind and enjoy the experience as much as I do.❤️
Most of the shops are legit but there a couple that run up the price so fast your bid may have been $10 and then once you slide that button over, it automatically jumps to well over what anyone would pay! And when you call them out on it, they refuse to fix the issue. I currently have this issue with the shop called “Stews Shoes”.. I went to slide the bid button on a pair of shoes that wasn’t going for very much very close to the end..and when I went to bid at a few dollars as I slide the button it jumped up to over $300! I automatically tried to cancel through a message, especially since it would cause a very important payment to falter and they refused to cancel. I couldn’t understand why that amount went that fast(?)! But they still kept the money and would not cancel the order. So I tried to reason with them, I told them If I had to pay anyways, to allow me a couple weeks and the hold the shoes until that payment was made and I would keep them and make the payment good. They said that to allow cancellations it would deeply affect the business and the bottom dollar. Me, I’m still confused about why that amount more than quadrupled in a second while I was bidding. I feel like it’s a result of them being able to control the amount they are wanting for the shoes, shows that they are purchased in large discounted prices. Just be aware that all shops are not as trustworthy as others.
Both me and my girlfriend ordered 7 cards in total, 5 on my side and 2 on hers adding up to around $25 with all purchases being made on the same card. When the tracking information updated to delivered and the cards weren’t here, my girlfriend contacted the seller. They said to wait another 2 days for the cards. 2 days passed, the cards never came. We waited at least a week and half to contact Whatnot support just incase the cards arrived. Upon contacting Whatnot support, my girlfriend was told that her money would be refunded. The money that was said to be refunded never was. Hours after she contacted support, so did I. I was told “…if an item is indicated as delivered but you have not received it, it is necessary to contact support within 14 days.” I understand that is their policy, but why was I told I was beyond their refund timeframe, but my girlfriend was in the process of getting one? The wildest thing about this situation is that after the live ended, we decided to order a couple more from other sellers. Those other sellers got our cards here on the same day and the day after the original sellers cards were supposed to. I can’t tell y’all what to do, but i can encourage you not to use this app with sellers and a support system like this. I know not many people look at the reviews of an app, but I hope this one reaches the top for at least a couple of people to see.

Absolutely love this app that is a blend of eBay auctions x Instagram live selling. So fun and very addicting - download with caution and be prepared to go on many unplanned shopping sprees! Most of the app is designed really well and makes shopping, browsing, and interacting with users very easy. I wish they would improve the UX for managing your purchases, especially since a lot of users buy to resell on here. As someone who has made a large number of purchases, it’s very difficult to find the receipt to reference in a sea of items. 1) there is no search function 2) the filters do not work. For example, if I wanted to filter to only items that still need to be reviewed the button is there but clicking it does not yield the right list of items. If I click on the Completed filter, it also returns Pending Review results. It’s just all wonky. Would love to filter by date or by seller as well. 3) I would love if the thumbnail was the snapshot of the video receipt at the time of your purchase. Many large volume sellers use a generic photo so when I’m trying to sort what I bought vs received it becomes annoying to review all the videos (though I love that this feature is available!) Reviews are easily inflated by design on this platform which is frustrating - if you buy 10 items in one day from a seller who does not bundle shipping, you can leave 10 individual reviews. Negative reviews can get removed by sellers request, and WN allows this. I have never seen any other platform allow deletion of bad reviews like this. That being said, overall customer service has been wonderful on the app. They are generally quick to respond and resolve issues in a way that doesn’t leave more to be desired.
Let me start off by saying I love whatnot and have used it basically since launch. Purchasing things is easy and it’s easy to sell on. I prefer to sell things on Whatnot over other apps like EBay, Mercari. But what they do better is paying people. For example EBay you receive the funds as soon as it delivers or when you ship. And is an easy process that takes up to 20mins to get money delivered to your account. Mercari is a little more difficult with the waiting period for the customer to rate your items that could take up to 3 days but money is immediately available and sends to your account within mins. Whatnot on the other hand is a over complicated payout system that is not seller friendly. Not only do you have to wait for it to be delivered (which I will admit is fast) but you have to wait a minimum of 2 days to get the funds sent to Whatnot THEN you have to wait another hours-days to have the funds sent to you to use. So here an example. You sell something and you may not get the money for that item several days after delivery. It just takes away from the whole thing and bring the experience down a lot. I don’t get why it takes so long but for Whatnot to stand out from the other two top selling apps it needs to be more seller friendly.
Dishonest and manipulative- she doesn’t think we can see her when she ignores our comments. Hear her huddle with her friend. See her facial expressions. Obviously has had issues with other sellers because a troll in the group was calling her out. She had no reason to be rude to me. I bought on her last show. I agreed with the troll that she DOES show things like she is going to run them. Half she asks the family if they want after about to run. My agreement was supposedly bashing . She messaged me and repeatedly asked if I would like to cancel my order. Then when I got my order 2 of the times had number dots on them which I did purchase and I got a white shirt with no number dot that I didn’t purchase instead of a jacket that was the most expensive thing I bought. So they purposely switched it out. No apology when I sent the message, just told me to contact whatnot for a refund. Full intent was obvious. This seller is malicious for absolutely no reason at all. I’m sorry to her sweet friend who did apologize and said she was going to run the pants. But still never happened. Insanely…. They had much better more expensive items they were running. Knowing I wanted them they didn’t.
Hello Whatnot team, how are you today? It has been a wild year for us. I’m a Union electrician. I recently stopped that to do Whatnot full time. We are in the process of getting a storefront. We have watched Whatnot grow and change over the year. I believe it is the future of sales. One thing I would like to see is a way for the new rule changes each month to be sent to streamers easier and beforehand? We strive to follow all guidelines and deliver top notch service to our customers and Whatnot. We did receive a warning that had we known about the role change we have never made the mistake and go against the guideline. We lost our premier shop which we worked very hard to achieve. We were a premier shop at the time, perhaps a better way to communicate with a whatnot team would help to be aware of any changes coming in as the platform grows and gets more efficient as well. We have had issues with the scanning app and the postal service scanning on time. What is amazing and I love seeing the growth of the platform! I have introduced new streamers and pumped a good narrative about Whatnot! I am getting millions of views on my FB and helping pump the platform as well! We look forward to a bright future for Whatnot and the sales industry!
I have been waiting for an app like this for a while now. Since I started my collection, I’d been using the Funko app. However, their app is extremely buggy. Too much nonsense. My collection value fluctuates too often, which I understand value change, but it’s often due to Pops having a certain value, then all of the sudden the app shows that there is no data to determine a trending value, which I can’t understand, especially with Pops that have been Vaulted. Anyway, this app has made the experience of being a Pop collector that much better. From the giveaways, to the prices, to the available Pops, to finding the value of Pops you have, this app does it all and does it well. My only real complaint is that when I scroll through the lists of Pops at the main screen, when I hit the back button, it goes all the way back to the beginning of the list. Lol please fix this if it’s not an isolated incident with me. But all jokes aside, there is nothing much to be upset about with this app. They make the buying process easy and are very professional and trustworthy people. Thank you guys for developing this app, you have a lifelong user/customer/whatever you want to call me. Will be buying again soon. Keep up the good work.
I am not at all happy with my experience in n the show tonight. I went into the show because I am intrigued with Disney pins and that is most of what they sell. I got caught up in a conversation that the hosts were involved in that including talking about their hours keeping them from alone time due to both working and when they aren’t working they are selling pins. I made the comment that I understood the situation they are in because I was many years married or living with a truck driver that was over the road and then passed away before he retired so we never got our alone time We did not have much time for s e x (which is how I was taught to do this on here to avoid red chats). I however was blocked permanently from this room. I bought three ducks so I was not able to go in the room and could not get into any of the giveaways. And cannot cancel my orders. I do not understand why I was permanently blocked from his show. I have heard a lot worse words on these shows and used on a lot worse context than chatting with the host. I have never seen someone blocked permanently. I want my order cancelled and money back.
The app has a great selection of different sellers to watch and different products. However, there is one severe issue I have been facing. Suggestion: I feel private messaging should be allowed between a seller and a customer when an order has been placed and received, just to ensure any questions regarding the products can be answered directly. Issue: Sound and video on streams does not always load up once entering the stream the first time. It requires you to close the stream and load into the stream again multiple times before it starts working properly. This has been occurring for weeks since I began using the application, and no fix has seemingly occurred. My partner has attempted to use the app himself, and the streams won’t load for him at all, even if he enters and exits it multiple times. Sometimes, the stream begins to lag as well, with just the timer or video itself freezing. This could be the seller’s internet connection, but could be related to the loading issue as well. Ultimately, my partner and I are highly interested in the application. I myself have bought a great number of things, but not without a great deal of stress throughout the process of attempting to load the streams. I hope someday soon the issue may be fixed, so my partner can use the application as well. Update: The app is running a lot smoother than before, and is now accessible to both my partner and I. It has a few issues now and again with loading and payment issues for people, but seems to be going a lot smoother overall! However, I have noticed an uprise in fake bidders, but in terms of a combat method, I’m not certain there’s a perfect solution. I look forward to the advancements Whatnot continues to make!
* New update seems to have things running much smoother! Good job taking the reports/ feedback from users and solving the issues! * Changed to 5 stars after update! I really enjoy using the app to watch, purchase and spend time with the Funko collecting community. However these last updates have left the app unusable, infuriating, and leaves me nervous for my personal information security. At times the app will completely shutdown after latest two updates, app keeps asking me to log in or give them my payment information again and again. That doesn’t make me feel like they are securely storing it if they keep losing it when the app crashes. When watching shows the app can’t seem to handle the viewers on the platform and frequently freezes mid auction or kicks streamers off their own shows. Love this community and hope they work out the kinks in the app because it’s a shame when people can buy or sell without having to jump through a badly performing app. Hopefully this update from a few minutes ago fixes all the problems!
I think the app is a great concept that no other platform offers. I love that I can scroll through categories to find the things I like. I loved the Disney Pins category, but then it got merged into a general Disney category, which makes it hard to find what I am looking for. I am a little frustrated with the review process, I have left 5 star reviews for almost every order that I place, but when I gave one 3 star due to product quality (particularly smell) on multiple different orders from one seller I get blocked. It just doesn’t seem very ethical that by giving honest feedback I get banned from viewing shows. Even if it was the seller that blocked me, I was not longer able to view other people’s shows, too. I guess I don’t understand what I did wrong :( Makes me hesitant to review knowing it could result in me not being able to shop on the app. The giveaway process is also a little sketchy. I see the same dozen or so users winning every giveaway. Maybe they spent more money or are long time users, but I would have thought it would be a random selection tool for sellers to use. Sometimes I wonder why I bother entering because I know I won’t win.
About 5-6 months ago I wrote a review about whatnot. I don’t recall the exact stars I rated it at the time. However, I remember I wasn’t happy when writing the review. I suggested a safety net for bidders and vowed to not use it again until it was implemented so with that being said I didn’t rate it high, I’m sure. So, I was on whatnot a few weeks ago watching, because who doesn’t like to watch breaks? Anyways, I wondered about the new bidding button I saw on the lower right hand corner and so I touched it to see if it would accept my bid. And much to my surprise it did NOt!!! I had to hold and swipe all the way right in order to bid. This is GREAT!!! Thank you for the safety net whatnot!!! I appreciate it! Although, I’m not quite certain that it’s a complete fix to dropping the phone and accidentally bidding(I don’t want to try it lol) I think it’s a huge step in the right direction! And I have to commend you guys for that and so I am rating 5 stars today!!! Thanks Whatnot for looking out for your consumers and for the effort you out in to please us all! I will be using whatnot once again!!!
I LOVE WHATNOT. It’s a special way to shop. Where the sellers don’t just give you a service. They make and give you a relationship. I would rather buy from a friend than buy from someone I don’t even know. I think that is a fortune of buying on WHATNOT. You get a special feeling of team and relationship even though these sellers are thousands of miles away. I experienced this with Chris and everyone from 2 Dollar Chris has his family in the business and they are outstanding. It’s an experience and connection you feel of togetherness at the same time you are buying what you want and they are increasing their business. A WIN+WIN=WIN There is one improvement that I think is necessary. When someone buys something on the receipt screen there should be a better description of product color (example black or navy) size, skinny or regular size (clothing example jeans etc.) so you know exactly what you bought. The video is good but you can’t tell the size and color by video sometimes it’s difficult to tell black or navy. etc. Wishing WHATNOT continued success.
I got Whatnot back in late 2021, and it was just on my phone. I found the concept cool but never had any money to use on it. Then I ended up referring a friend. I checked my account months later and discovered I had $10. So last week I used it and bought a $30 funko pop for only $4 out of my own pocket. (I collect Pops.) The community is great and the bidding for all products and ways of getting it are great. Whatnot has become my number 1 way to grow my collection. One problem though. Whenever I use the app, even when I’m on the Home Screen, the scrolling lags and moves very blocky and choppy across the screen. This happens when I entered the app, when I exit a stream and return to my Home Screen, and even when I reset the app. Also, when I enter a stream, it takes about 30 seconds for my keyboard to stop lagging and actually allow me to type in real time. This happens EVERY TIME I OPEN THE KEYBOARD IN CHAT. Overall, using this app is a good experience, but the lag is terrible. The type pad lags, the Home Screen lags. It is all around an issue.
WhatNot is a game changer! It’s refreshing to be able to interact with the seller and others while bidding on items. As a Funko seller myself, I enjoy getting to curate shows and build reputation with frequent flyers. It is still new, but the WhatNot team is making every step in the right direction to listen to user feedback and make adjustments as needed. On top of that, the WhatNot support team is excellent! I’ve had to contact them on a few occasions and they are always so quick to help resolve the issue and they remain so friendly the entire time, it’s like talking to an old friend. I thoroughly enjoy this app and the direction in which it’s headed. The categories are growing to bring in a more diverse list of sellers and buyers, the community involvement is fun to be a part of, there are even subgroups that have formed on discord that are related to helping new sellers grow their profile. Overall very pleased with WhatNot. If you’re on the fence, what are you waiting for! Find a current WhatNot user, sign up with their link and get a free $10 credit to explore the platform. You’re welcome :)
The app is great, so I’m rating it a 5-star but when I signed up with my friends link it didn’t credit us the 10$ it promised after I made my first purchase nevertheless the app is still really well made and just has some minor bugs. I especially like the people who sell slabs for $1 on auction, but some of them seem emotionally attached to there items saying they are going to jump off a bridge if it doesn’t sell for 100$ etc. I also would like to say that many of the sellers try and hustle you by using fast paced tactics to get you to buy, often just lying about the price, I’ve gotten banned after I corrected that his items last comps were 230$ and not 800$. After I got banned the app accused me of not being a good community member which I find appalling since I’ve been nothing but kind to people. Even though I’ve had these problems with the app I can blame most of it on terrible sellers and not the app configuration if I was to recommend this app to someone I would say to be very careful on who you decide to do business with.
I’ve never had so much fun shopping online before. this app has EVERYTHING for EVERYONE. the live selling/buying and endless mini games the hosts run and come up with is a ton of fun. BEWARE HALF OF THEM ARE BASICALLY GAMBLING. with that in mind, i’ve been addicted to this app since i’ve downloaded it 2 months ago. there isn’t a day i’m not on this app just hanging out, watching a show or impulse buying because the deals are way too good to pass up. seriously this app amazing and i can’t express my gratitude enough for all of the awesome deals and awesome cloths, shoes, cards and even free items (when ive been lucky enough to win [which has been twice] anyways). most sellers are willing to work with you if something goes wrong with your purchase, and then you also have WhatNot who will make things right if there is something wrong with your order. pay very close attention to what sellers say, and make sure to always read the shows Notes. BID/BUY RESPONSIVELY and most importantly HAVE FUN!!! this app is awesome. best thing since sliced bread.
I’m loving this app but there are a lot of issues with it. The auctions don’t load live a lot of the time and we constantly have to close the app fully and re-enter so we can see the live auction. Also a BIG issue I have is that when I make an “offer” on a listing, it goes in the “offer” section of the “buying” tab and I can never click on it to see it, who is selling it or anything. Even when it’s been accepted and even shipped. I can never click on it. I don’t understand why there is a difference. I can see all that info in the other purchase section for other purchases that were bought outright or through the auction. This really needs to be fixed. I also find the rating system weird as you have to wait for it to show up. And if it does when you’re not ready to rate, you have close out of the window and wait a few days for the rating to pop again or the notification to click on. Other than that, it’s a great app and have had good seller/buyer experiences.
SICK APP❕
Changed my life.
I’m having a wonderful time
Great
Just need to control yourself, can get caught up easily.
Some features you cannot do on the webpage such as video receipts and entering giveaways so the app is very much needed. The app functions well and does what you need it to I wish the webpage was as useful
Totally awesome
Crack Cocaine in my screen
This app is filled with scammers and what not doesn’t seem to care. I bought into a break and got a $300 card and the seller never shipped it, instead what not refunded my $10 and the seller gets to keep my card for himself. Don’t bother buying anything on this terrible app. (Update) What not support was very helpful in getting me what I was owed on the app. Just wish it didn’t take me digging through every policy and support to find the help I needed.
Whatnot: Shop, Sell, Connect Negative Reviews and Ratings
This is a great app if they fix the glitches. The other issue is that since they put the lives in “Beta” it seems as though new users will never get the opportunity to go live. I put an application in months ago and I am still waiting for a response. I wish there was a similar app I could use that has the same exact or similar features to this one. If you aren’t “sponsored” by WhatnotLLC, don’t have a huge following, they didn’t come to you and ask to sponsor you, you are not promoting their platform and you don’t have a website yet or your website is under construction best believe they are not going to let you go live. You will pretty much see the same sellers over and over on a consistent basis. They keep saying that they are going to add new sellers to the “beta” they have been saying that for months now. By the time they add new people the customers are not going to be interested in buying anything because they will already have everything they want and need from the “current sellers” on the platform. Also the current sellers run their lives sometimes for hours on end. I have seen some that run lives anywhere between 2-6 hours. How is this fair business practice to those who have been waiting for weeks or months to be able to sell their products on the platform? Thank God for other apps like Mercari and Offer Up as well. At least they try to help all of their users make money. I somewhat question the business practices being done here. I think all users should have a fair opportunity.
I downloaded the app after it was sponsored by a popular tcg YouTuber a couple times to see what was described as lots of fun giveaways and groups getting together to open packs as they would in a local game store. The entertainment of twitch but for collectors. When I got on the app I immediately went searching for my preferred series to see what streams were active (it was about 3pm on a Friday) I could only find 2 active streams one was just a blank screen asking you to buy a lottery product(which when reading the details was clearly misleading to scam someone) and another streamer who was offering giveaways but only if you paid him money did you get what’s actually advertised for winning. And overall didn’t actually engage with the people in chat like in twitch. It all felt like it could have been a prerecorded video to some extent to watch. I have checked the app at various times of days and haven’t found more than 4 active streams going in the tcg categories(outside of pokemon) and of those 4 maybe 1 had an actual person behind it. The potential of this app to be as described in all the advertising and their descriptions is a cool idea that they have placed the tools to do but with all the scams and people trying to make a quick buck on the app i have not found a reason to even use my free 15$ on the app. I can only hope it gets better one day but until then I can’t recommend this product to anyone who is curious about it.
Over all I liked whatnot especially for purchasing dead stock streetwear and sneakers. Auctions are the only kind of sellers I deal with now because there are a few decent and true sellers, HOWEVER I’ve learned to STAY AWAY from Mystery Box games and basically a non verifiable or promoted sellers. Even though whatnot claims there sellers are all authenticated on more then one occasion I purchased from a “Whatnot Verified seller” and have straight up be robbed. I never got my merchandise. I got so paranoid, I started recording every single streamers show I purchase from. I got cheated on sneakers I “won” in a mystery game I had to force the seller to send me the shoes and got some wack $40 pair of sneakers from Walmart when I was the second prize winner… also, two pop collectibles, and also two more mystery box purchases. Mystery box sellers always have a promotion that if you buy a slot they will send you a cancellation prize, this is up to a certain value just for playing the mystery game had you not won the 1st place prizes and long and BEHOLD, I’ve gotten LITERALLY non of these things. I contacted whatnots customer service, and all they say is to request a cancellation from the seller, when you request the cancellation, the seller can deny it, so even when they CLEARLY scammed you they can still deny your refund, and from that point you would have to bring it to your bank because what not won’t do anything about it.
At first the app was cool and i had to spend a little money to understand how things work and how certain people run their streams/lives. The TCG community is full of scalpers and price gouging. 85% of the people there are scalpers and known to glitch out vending machines just to sell it to us above market value. I was only on there for the TCG/pokemon, as the rest of whatever they’re selling in there I cannot speak on. Then I also ran into a streamer who then harassed me over a review, and continued to harass me and the only thing I could do is make a complaint which I’m sure didn’t really affect them. Another streamer that I spent money on sent the package with the incorrect postage and I had to pay out of pocket. Whatnot then went about it terribly. Instead of giving me a proper refund and giving me the money that I spent for the packaging they just gave me credits. I asked for a proper refund because I no longer felt comfortable spending money on the app and the credit was useless to me. So their excuse is that “once we put credits into your account we can’t take them away” which is a load of BS because the same way you can just add credit you can take it away and give me a proper refund. App and people are just full of money hungry people that really don’t care to lose your business. I just recommend if you’re gonna use this app, spend wisely, be very sure on which streamer you spend money on, and beware of the price gouging. I will never recommend this app to anyone.
Watch out when buying cards on this app, multiple sellers have friends with second accounts who increase bids throughout the auction so you are paying more for the card then it’s actually worth. A lot of kids hyping cards that are worth less then a $1 and they are selling them for sometimes over $30. Have sellers also selling cards worth a few hundred for multiple thousands. Be careful. Also, if you are doing repacks or breaks, watch out for sleight of hand. Also, these sellers continually tell you to get in their FREE giveaway but if you do it to much, whatnot will limit your account to no giveaways. Absolute nonsense. What a trash app. New issues: -My son commented “🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️” which was replying to another user not the seller stream. Seller blocked my son. I asked why and I was blocked. No professionalism, no customer service, whatnot sides with sellers because they don’t want to lose money. WATCH OUT FOR “TCI”, he will block you for no reason after you bought something for him because then you can’t contact him at all or report him. The seller “TCI” is taking advantage if so many people, constantly making fun of people but when his feelings are hurt or if he assumes the wrong thing, he will block you. -Packages didn’t show up when it shows delivered, whatnot has a buyers guarantee but they refused to let me put a request in and have an automatic message saying it’s not aloud nor do they have any way of actually contacting customer service
Let me start by saying I’m still fond of whatnot and pop back in time to time. I have purchased a few products on there and even have favorite people on there to watch and buy from. This is why I think there’s an extremely huge flaw in a change to the way the app works recently that affects the streams as a whole now… Giveaways. Giveaways used to be simple, you enter the giveaway and if you win you won the prize. I understand that sellers on the platform would get screwed over because of bots or people making multiple accounts, but now it’s created a whole new and honestly kinda toxic environment on the app. Giveaways were an incentive for people to be exposed to new sellers streams and interact with different people and now it’s used by sellers as an incentive to get people to stay and never actually run the giveaway… I’ll spend hours on the platform popping into different streams and happen to be in giveaways that just never get run now because there’s no incentive for the sellers to actually GIVE anything. Sellers use the giveaway function to just incentivize viewers to stay and never leave which is cool for the ones buying but we all know that unless you have deep pockets… you’re not actually there to bid you’re there to see cool new cards and exciting bid wars. Wish they could figure this out because this is REALLY sad to see. I don’t even want the “free” stuff so much but if you’re gonna let sellers use it as a scam anyways then why not just remove it entirely?
Used to be a great app but over the last 6-9 months it’s just gone so downhill. I make tons of purchases on here but shipping POLICY is never enforced by whatnot. Some of the bigger streamers can ship whenever they feel like and not in the 2 day window like they’re supposed to and they get away with it with no repercussions because they’re making whatnot so much money. One streamer I used to shop with frequently has been stating for the last 5 months their shipping department suffered a loss whatever that means so they take 5-8 days just to ship and I live across the country so it’s another 5-7 days before it even reaches me. If you can’t handle the volume of product you’re putting out to ship inside of the policy’s window either hire more people or sell less. The smaller streamers follow the rules and I receive my stuff in 3-5 days from purchase. It just aggravates me because they get away with it so often without anything being done by whatnot. I wait 3 weeks sometimes before receiving from them so I stopped shopping with them. It’s becoming more common now though since there’s no punishment. Also I’ve submitted tickets for products never shipped and they are supposed to review it and get back within 5 days. It’s been 8 going on 9 daysand I can’t reach them in anyway since I’ve already submitted a ticket. There support is terrible all around. This is just one of the many reason’s I wouldn’t recommend whatnot.
I’ve been on Whatnot and buying from Whatnot streamers for well over four years. Whatnot is a complete scam. It’s all computer generated customer service. There’s no real phone number. There’s no way to talk to a real person and their refund policy and their customer support guarantee is a complete lie. They’ve been getting worse and worse over the past year at least every third time I purchase I have items missing. That I purchased and did not receive and all whatnot does is have you submit a ticket and you get a computer generated message within 48 hours and they do nothing it just happened to me literally two days ago again I spent well over $1000 and the three biggest purchases I did not receive and I have no refund. No nothing do not waste your time or your money I’ve already contacted the Better Business Bureau as well as every other agency that’s similar to what not and I will be pressing charges!!!! Also beware if you click on app Support, it takes you to Whatnot and you get a message that pops up try updating your app. This option not available which even furthermore proves what I said to be real. Another update there’s no live people to talk to. It is all computer generated Whatnot scammed me out of literally over $500 in the past week and I am filing charges buyer beware stay away from what not since they’ve changed ownership and how they do things. It’s complete scam.
I had an issue I bid on some shoes from a seller named Naderbuys and was shipped the wrong shoes. When I reached out to Naderbuys initially through the app he offered a partial refund and I keep the shoe or a full refund and I return the shoe. I opted for the full refund and return . Naderbuys stopped communicating so I had to escalate my issue to whatnot support. Whatnot sent me an email with a label to return shoes to get full refund. I printed it out and went to the post office and sent them off to be returned. After it never updated in the app that I shipped them to be returned I noticed the tracking numbers didn’t match but the address for both tracking numbers were the same. I’ve been trying to reach out to whatnot support ever since April 16, 2026 to get this resolved with no success every time I go through the app purchase it gives an error message and won’t process the message to whatnot. I’ve also tried to reach them via the original email they sent me and it says it’s not monitored. I am very frustrated and disappointed with how everything has been going. The shoes were delivered to Whatnot on April 22, 2026 and I still haven’t heard anything as of April 24, 2026 that they received and or issuing me my refund. The app is still saying I need to ship item by April 20, 2026 to get refund with a different tracking number attached when it already been shipped. After this is resolved I will be deactivating my account and no longer doing business though whatnot
Would give zero stars if I could. First time ever being on the app and got caught up in buying a pair of sunglasses bc the Seller said they were the last item for sale for the day. I didn’t want to lose the opportunity so I purchased them for $110 during the whopping 15 second allotted bidding war that went on. To my surprise, it wasn’t *GASP* the last item, I believe there were 5 or 6 so called last items after that one. That right there is misleading the consumer, pressuring them into purchasing something bc it’s the LAST ONE. I was a little irritated that I got sucked in like that so I started Googling these so-called “luxury” glasses to see what an AWESOME deal I got on them, after all the Seller stated they were at least $500 retail. Jokes on me, I found them on several sites, for $60. I received yet ANOTHER surprise when I received my sunglasses in the way of a receipt that I paid $111 for “Sunglasses Drop! #40”. You would think, with an item being soooo luxury, I would have a receipt that stated I purchased JIMMY CHOO SUNGLASSES. Now here’s the kicker, I submitted a pleasant request to the platform relating my experience, the misleading practices, the price gouging, the pressuring, the lame receipt, all of it with proof, and the app STANDS by the Seller. It was my problem I bought them and they are not returnable. So people, stay away from this app. They are shady, and will lie & cheat you to get their hands on your hard earned money - and the stuff won’t even be authentic!!
This app is full of frauds, starting with the higher ups. They say they offer all of these things and then just take away features, every person is treated differently especially if you are bigger streamer and make the app money. I feel it is illegal to say you offer customer support and then you just cut it off to people if they have too many “return requests”, maybe we wouldn’t need to return if these sellers didn’t falsely advertise and/or correctly package or get the items correct in your order. I’ve had many items come damaged, without items, ect, and this app won’t even allow me to try to send in a request for anything. I am thousands of dollars in the whole because of your terrible customer service and these scamming sellers, and truly is sad when you’ve spent $100,000 plus on this app in a year. They couldn’t care less about anything except money. Sad what this app has become, allowing anyone to become a seller, allowing some of your biggest sellers scam daily and they are on your whatnot videos (Grailed804) these dude falsely advertise, sell fake shoes, lie, argue, and don’t even respond to customers. Other sellers messaging to cancel wheel spins when you hit the big prizes, the list goes on. I should be contacting my bank to remove all charges and contacting my legal team to pursue further.. *updated review so the developers can say they looked into it but they won’t - soflosoles *
I collect video games, primarily PS1 and PS2 games, but I also dabble in other consoles. I enjoyed this app for a while… then I noticed several of my discs that I won didn’t work. I wanted to work it out with the seller, but whatnot terms prohibit that, so you have to go through whatnot support. After sending in my first complaint of a disc not working, I was asked for several different things. Including a picture of the box the item was sent in, and the label, which I didn’t have since who expects to be asked for that?! So I just have up after that initial list of requirements to get a refund. Nevertheless I still enjoyed interacting with the sellers and the chat, and making bids on and winning certain games in the hopes they wouldn’t be broken. Of course I’d occasionally get the broken game. Unfortunately several of these games that didn’t work were of significant value to a normal person, aka $40+. Even then I knew I couldn’t really do anything about it. Some sellers are a bit crude, but that’s fine with me and I enjoy it. I enjoy exchanging a few crude remarks. But what I DONT appreciate is being banned for interacting with said sellers, and others in the chat. At the very least there should be a strike system. When I spend plenty of money on a site I don’t expect to be banned for “hurtful language” when it’s clear we’re just messing with each other. The only good thing about this app was the chat, not worth it if you can’t feel free to have some fun. In a way I feel a bit cheated.
Let me explain. I live in a household with other collectors who use whatnot. My account, my google account, got hacked, I deleted it and made a new one, however I had to transfer that information and account to my new google account. It said in order to do that, I had to enter my password (makes sense) I forgot it, whatnot said no big deal, reset it. I did that, and then when I went to type in the new one It got denied, this happened multiple times and was super frustrating BUT this was just the beginning. I said alr no big deal I’ll make a new one, I did, but this has happened in the past so my mobile phone has already verified 3 accounts so I use my landline phone. Like I said in the very beginning, other people in my household use this phone for whatnot. Apparently, someone got removed from the platform and apparently the fact that I used the same phone number as them makes me automatically “restricted” I cant buy anything, bid, enter givvys, send messages, or do ANY INTERACTION WITH THE PLATFORM EVEN THOUGH I WOULD BE SUPPORTING THEM. this is a shame. I did nothing wrong. The service was horrible, I would send emails and they would not answer any of my questions. They would just reply with “ we are unable to grant access” like come on I did nothing wrong and you’re being so difficult with me. Idek if they would read my emails. WHATNOT, DO BETTER!!!!!
There is a rise of scammers on this platform. TCG’s are in a big boom market and these Rip N’ Shippers know exactly what they’re doing. Simply doing a search about “whatnot scam” and you’ll see HUNDREDS of stories about it happening. They switch out cards, they reseal packs, and even have people making extremely inappropriate comments. Even worse they’ve rolled out a policy where customers can’t request SPECIFIC CLIPED FOOTAGE of purchases. Their words here: “you are only able to view a video receipt, which is a recording of the moment your purchase was completed”. A two minute clip is sent to you and if ANYTHING happens to your order outside those two minutes, you are not able to see that clip for proof. You are now forced to video record your own purchases and even then if you go through the proper channels, the seller might only get a slap on the wrist. Speaking of sellers, these people aren’t vetted. Anyone can become a seller, whatnot has no process of asking how one gets their product, if they have history of selling, if they have a store, NOTHING. This just leaves the door open for other bad people. This platform has good people but there is a scam happening on this app EVERY OTHER DAY NOW. I really suggest you stay away from this platform, buy from people you trust instead, and if you want packs buy them yourself. It’s not worth it if this platform doesn’t want to protect you.
This community has had a bad rap recently due to scamming, and nothing is ever done about it. I myself have caught several streamers in the act and have reached out and these people continue to stream. It blows my mind when you send pictures and evidence of the scamming and the issue is never resolved and these people keep doing it it’s only hurting the platform to understand why nothing is ever done I think if you’re giving solid evidence of the scammers they should be banned immediately. This is hurting the platform. All the stuff is all over Reddit. I read it daily and I’m being criticized myself for being a seller on the platform. It’s hard for me to associate myself and my business if these things were fixed, this platform would be top-notch 100%, such a great idea just bad monitoring on myself would be interesting in policing the platform to get rid of these scammers when communicating back to others you keep it private, but the sellers are allowed to see who’s reported them makes no sense. It should be open both ways because then seller can just block the buyer and I understand that you guys are very good at refunding people but it does have good when you got people selling counterfeit cards, trim cards, resealed packs and booster boxes that’s been picked through oh over inflated prices I wish platform could fix these issues because it is a great tool way better than eBay
Whatnot takes 11% fees on every single item sold. 8% is purely commission for whatnot, the rest is card transaction fees. Take this in to consideration when considering being a seller here. My account also just got banned for “suspected fraudulent activity”, I’ll tell you right now, I’m a very honest seller and all 2 thousand of my followers I’m sure would agree. With a 99.8% defect free order rate, 4 orders out of 2.5 THOUSAND had “issues” and every time it’s been a carrier issue with USPS or whatnot failed to generate a proper label. I’m here leaving a 1 star review out of pure experience. It has MANY benefits but this ban far outweighs any benefit as I have transitioned this to be my only stream of income. To take this away from me for “suspected” reason and no evidence or proof is impossible to put in to words. Unfair barely scratches the surface and this is disrespectful to say the least. I have bills to pay and I now am uncomfortable continuing using this platform as I have evidence this platform is unjust, unfair and above all, does not seem to care about its sellers even when there is a problem. Ban first, ask questions later. They make their 8% commission 2.5 thousand times off of me to then ban me with no real explanation. I’m something far beyond disappointed. I feel betrayed. I feel like I’ve been stolen from. A great opportunity turned in to the biggest disaster I have faced in my entire life. It’s like being fired with pay day being tomorrow and rent simultaneously due. God, please help me.
I’ve been using this app for almost 2 months at first loved it get great deals and I ran into an issue and bought some product and the seller is a little bit sketchy two of the four items I purchased were damaged and I reached out to the seller a week past, and the seller never got back to me so the request for assistance switched over to Whatnot and all they could tell me was they need pictures of the item which I sent then they needed pictures of the original shipping package which a week had passed already I no longer had that packaging due to that Whatnot could not help me so I lost my money for those items I lost my trust and what not the seller receive no repercussions. I requested to speak to a manager multiple times and what not continue to just ignore me. I do not recommend using them. They will not back your purchases nowhere where did they stay that you had to save all the original shipping packaging their customer service person that I dealt with seem very unprofessional. They just kept regurgitating the fact that they couldn’t do anything if I couldn’t provide pictures of the packaging. I told them to watch the video over receipt that the seller showed the condition of the items I purchased they displayed them at a distance and only showed the front of the package where is if you look at most other sellers during the process of the auction, they always flip and show the package on all side. i’ve spent over $2000 in the last month and a half and four what not not to support me for 40 or 50 bucks. Insane to me horrible horrible customer service I would not recommend using their app or shopping with them.
Man when this app first hit in 2019 I was hesitant, then when I downloaded I instantly got hooked, they had everything literally, from estate sales to jewelry and even to sneakers and streetwear. Then as time went by it got worse. They started advertising it on tik tok and IG and all the kids started joining, you can only bid if you’re 18 but found out the hard way that half of the users were kids. They started shill bidding and troll bidding. Before all this their was no cancels and everyone was fine with that but as time went by and kids started joining they started cancelling items, the cards would decline or they’d ask to refund it because they overpaid (they were just running the bids up) the giveaways were good then they started updating the app so now everyone who was buying since the beginning is now shadowbanned from winning giveaways. I would win maybe 3 giveaways every month and then it went to 1 every 2 months even though I joined every single time. Now the new users are winning giveaways while the ones who made this app what it is from Day 1 aren’t getting anything. Now dropshippers have came into this. They sell temu and TikTok items and advertise them as good product. Most of it is junk now. Also the sellers used to be cool. Like you could have a convo with them or they’d shout your name out for joining their show now they barely communicate with the buyers. In the beginning it was like whatnot had rules and all the buyers would listen now when theirs a small problem they either just complain about the app (why are gonna sell on this app if you hate it lol) they got more rude and have way to much control
This platform is so good, but it’s ruined by obnoxious loud used car salesmen type people. They’re always screaming at the top of their lungs pushing their crazy expensive breaks and saying how they can’t believe how low spots are going for. There’s like 2-3 buyers who keep bidding up spots and winning the majority of them. I’m talking about $500 spots and they’re winning 10 of them like nothing each break. They’re spending $50,000 a day easily, which is hard for me to believe. I’m suspecting they have friends who bid these up and then they get a cut and don’t really have to spend that much. I deleted this app, it’s too much and the skinny of money you spend you keep getting junk and your chances of hitting anything in group breaks are horrible compared to the money you’re spending. Better off breaking with established breakers who break whole cases than these dudes who keep stacking up those dumb “Sweat Boxes” that puke out $50 cards. Prepare to hear this over and over in loud volume “VALUE ON TOP OF VALUE!!!! THESE SPOTS SHOULD BE $1000 EASSSSYYYY!!!!! WHAT ARE WE DOING GUYS YOU GOTTA FIGHT FOR IT!!!! I CANT BELIEVE HOW LOW THESE SPOTS ARE GOING!!! BIGGEST BREAK WE’VE EVER DOOOOOOONNNNNE” It wasn’t fun anymore listening to all that crap.
I really wanted to like Whatnot, it’s got a lot of potential but unfortunately there are just too many deceptive or unprofessional sellers and whatnot support is limited. Whatnot itself is deceptive in that during bidding the amount can change as you are physically swiping and there is no physical way to stop. I fully believe in the future Whatnot will have to answer to some of its business practices. My issues came mainly from sellers not disclosing damage on items and using the timer as a way to only quickly show items while sometimes even physically blocking views of damage. The Buyers protection supposedly protects against this if damage is not disclosed (which obviously they have happen enough to have that as an option on a support ticket) but that only works part of the time and I’ve been left with multiple damaged items that they will not return. Shipping pricing is not at all transparent (goes up, goes down…a lot of time it will only say they will do it the cheapest available which is a lie) and many sellers don’t care enough to ship securely because they’ve already gotten their money. It doesn’t seem like Whatnot cares enough to hold the bad sellers accountable. I was on the app 2-3 months before this all came to a head and won’t be back. I have no idea how the app is rated 4.8 with so many negative reviews saying the same thing, I think somehow they are underreporting the 1 star reviews. Update: They respond to the review to reach out to support and then do nothing. Don’t let the responses to the reviews fool you, they won’t do anything.
Applied to be a seller on this app , the seller application process isn’t straight forward and what not employees seem to make mistakes and punish users for them . I applied with the intention to sell customized pressed on nails , I was approved . Then I get an email from WhatNot saying it was a mistake to approve me and that I don’t have enough inventory , business history , etc . So I did what any person would do and come up with a different strategy . I re applied for the movie category and this time was approved again . Except when I joined the onboarding session for some reason after it my account was still not live to sell . So I contacted the support team and they banned my account saying I tried to join an onboarding session without invitation (which is false) . So I sent them multiple screenshots of the invitation and inventory and I kept sending them emails , next thing you know the safety team is telling me I’m permanently banned for “harassment “ when I ask them who and how I’m harassing anyone for inquiring about a mistake they made they simply close the case and are not trying to be helpful . I have an eBay store and a top rated seller . Clearly this company has some stuff to work through and they aren’t very transparent . I was a great buyer and just wanted to try and sell on there too .
The app in of itself isn’t bad and there’s a lot of amazing sellers (and some not so amazing ones) on top of some good deals if you know what you’re looking for do it in smaller streams and stick to it but if you have an addictive personality i’d stay FAR away from it. It’s very easy to get caught up in it all (sellers will often use tactics to get you to spend spend spend making you feel a sense of urgency hyping up cheap items to be worth more then what they are manipulate you into buying/bidding shame you if you don’t buy at all or not enough guilt trip you if what you got the item for is lower then what they wanted never show appreciation see people as nothing more then a paycheck etc which Whatnot is 100% guilty of too since a lot of the things the sellers use are things the app offers them or allows to happen) and honestly it’s literally no different then what you’d find at a casino (i.e games where you can spend just for a minuscule chance to get something good but i’ve seen people do it hundreds of times and never win minus junk not even 1% worth what they spent). I have an addictive personality and not gonna lie I got caught up in it too but thankfully I stopped myself early before it got out of hand- how this app is allowed to exist without a gambling warning (and an actual visible warning from them everywhere possible not some microscopic tiny text somewhere on the seller’s stream that the seller themselves put there that’s hard to find) is beyond me (especially when kids have access to it) and sadly i’ve very rarely seen it talked about (don’t believe me look it up)- be careful y’all.
Luxury category is a scammers paradise! Whatnot states all items must be authentic. I trusted this, but was scammed by multiple sellers. I’ve attempted to work with customer service. I sent them a spreadsheet of all the items in dispute from just one seller. There are over 150 disputes of purchases from one party-fakes, empty envelopes with 4lbs+ (mail fraud) or items never shipped/received. Other scammers are actually still surfacing, as thousands of purchased items arrived in a short period of time, AND I’m having to pay for authenticity verification on top of my already massive losses. I had 16 packages still coming, but they suddenly disappeared. Sellers will promise hookups, but either don’t deliver, or some of these hookups are fakes! Not many legit lux sellers sadly. They take your money and run. Whatnot is telling me that even though I gave them a spreadsheet in time, that I would be out of the timeframe for refunds. If they believe in their sellers so much, they should refund me. My spend was in the upper six figures in a 4 month period. The loss is much higher. Read Reddit threads. Avoid the luxury category. There are a few very large bad apples ruining it for everyone, yet they all stick together like glue. If you stop spending, the “friends” you thought you had are gone! It’s all fake. They will shill bid (I have proof), make you a mark and befriend you if you have money - until you question them. Then they stop talking to you. They know who they are. I’m still waiting on one big hookup. I hope it arrives . I shut down a fraud ring in the past. This is too big a loss to just let go.
I’ve been an avid buyer and seller on this platform since it’s early days. I used to love using this app and saw it as my go-to for both buying and selling Funko Pops. However, my “inventory” consists of hundreds of listings that I have ZERO search functionality or management ability over. I have to manually scroll through almost 400 of my own listings on the app to find an item I listed. Typically, the app will glitch about halfway through and start repeating the beginning listings so I can never make it through everything. As a seller, I need a platform that makes cross-posting easy with the ability to update my listings easily. Sadly, this app is the opposite of that. If I can’t access my 300+ items, I can’t deliver with the integrity I strive for as a seller, and it also makes me weary as a buyer to purchase anything from a seller with a lot of listings for that very same reason. Overall, this app has great potential. But the fancy live auctioning features and talk of introducing chat features shouldn’t come at the cost of basic functionality like inventory searching or simple data exports. At the end of the day, it’s a good enough app, but not the trusty bread and butter go-to app that I had really hoped Logan and the team were striving for long term.
PLEASE, BOYCOTT WHATNOT, or at least BOYCOTT COIN AUCTIONS BY BUSTED_COINZ. Busted _coinz is a snake and he’ll do the same thing to you. I’m a good customer of Whatnot, spending literally thousands of dollars just last year. So I don’t say this lightly… Seller sent me the wrong items. Says he attempted to contact the buyer he sent my items to, aaaaand other buyer ghosted seller. Meanwhile I sent the seller photos of what I actually received, which includes notes that have the other buyers name in them. Meanwhile the seller strings me along as I’m trying to be patient, understanding and accommodating to his requests for more time to contact and resolve with the other buyer. In reality, correcting the issue with me should be the sellers priority, whether he’s able to contact the other buyer or not. Even if he has to go out and re-purchase the item I’m owed to make it right. Meanwhile the 30-day limit to make a claim with Whatnot expires. Not that I’m ready to take further action against the seller, who’s now ghosting me, Whatnot refuses a refund and refuses to disclose seller’s contact info. BTW … Whatnot now says they spoke to the seller and he stated that I was sent the correct items … one dem be lyin. So Whatnot now assisting and becoming an accessory to fraud, deception and bait-and-switch practices. FOR SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU!!!
I’ve recently been using this app as a buyer and on that part, there are no issues I’ve ran into. As a seller, you cannot change shipping costs. Meaning you can’t place a cap on any shipping in your stream. For new sellers this is can be detrimental when selling items like cards. For instance if you’re buying trading cards you would have to pay “x” amount every time you buy a single card. This would mean on certain cards that are only worth $1,$2,$3.. and so on, you would actually be paying that on top of shipping costs every single time. This is a huge turn off for buyers, incentivizing them to go to already established channels. When speaking with support they say they are aware of the issue and are actively “trying” to change it. This was two weeks ago, I by no means am a digital engineer so I don’t know how long a fix would take but I can’t imagine this is any priority for them. The reason being, when doing a simple google search, information populates stating that this may be intentional. It goes on stating that new sellers won’t be able to change this setting until after their account is of certain “age”. Further research shows similar problems from 10+ months ago. If you’re a new seller I wouldn’t bother.
SUPER SKETCHY!!!!!!!!!Wanted to give zero stars but it would not let me!!This app is SUPER SKETCHY!!! They want you to go thru all these steps as in To Qualify to use their app. Which is all fine!! But when you Complete all the steps, they make you redo the steps which is to verify your Identity, after Identifying you have to take a Zoom meeting which is almost a whole hour long and then you have to sign up with Discord completely, USING Whatnots link that they send you. Now at the end of the hour long Whatnot Zoom there is Q&A where Questions were Will we be able to actually SELL after this and was answered with a Yes!! Immediately after!! So going further and fulfilling My end so as to become a ‘Seller’ on Whatnot I sign in and hit the ‘Sell’ button, AND IT STILL SAYS ‘UNDER REVIEW’! They want me to send my Info, all of it again!! Well I have resent my info 3 times!! Still cannot sell!! SO WHAT EXACTLY ARE THEY AT WHATNOT USING MY INFO FOR EXACTLY??!!! BECAUSE IT CERTAINLY ISNT SO THAT I CAN SELL ON THEIR APP!! I have emailed them several times. I actually recorded everything, including the Zoom meeting that I attend still NOTHING FROM THEM!! NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER!! Sooooooo……My advise would be to be very cautious when considering using this app!!! seriously !! VERY SKETCHY!! And I have video and screenshots of everything!!
I am Banned and I pray to God it is a mistake I don’t wish this on anyone I recently quit my job to do this full time only to be banned with no explanation at all I’ve seen horrible things like what backyard breaks did and they only get a temporary ban but here I am permanently banned I have no violations no warnings and it’s unfair I feel like I am Being targeted and treated indifferent and that someone has a personal issue with me whoever is in charge of doing these things and gives the ok on this I’ve been reaching out and no answer I pray this ban is uplifted cause I really like this app and have a following I did 11 hours the other day I have over 2k followers I built so much I recommend and promote this app a lot and to be treated like this for no reasons no violations warnings is unacceptable unprofessional and disingenuous there’s gotta be like a strike system I didn’t do anything at all for such a severe punishment this is a wrongful ban can somebody please help praying God can vengefully back me in this it’s all In his hands they been giving me the run around not telling what policy I broke or what I violated it’s says I am banned and they says it’s locked idk what’s going on I feel discriminated against I can’t think of what warning or anything given to warrant this
So here’s the deal, you are bidding on people’s mostly junk or made in China tee moo crap that they have decided to resell to you. The bidding can get exciting and bang in a week or two you might have the biggest regrettable purchase you ever made show up in your mailbox (many get “lost” and I won’t get started on the overpriced shipping). Most of these sellers have low/zero integrity and once this app dies off (trust me it will) they will move on to other ways to scam you. Here’s an example: I “won” an iPad during an auction from the seller NicoleState and it never shipped. I got the run around from her, first it got lost, then shipped to wrong person, then I’ll send you a replacement and now I’m still waiting almost a year later and of course when I reached out to whatnot they said they don’t regulate contests. Hmmm ok so you openly allow scams? And the auction I won was somehow switched to a different handbag “of equal value” and it was sold at TJ Maxx for about 25% of what I paid, I own the stupidity of bidding more than something was worth (never again though). Sellers like Nicole State are a dime a dozen, I have encountered a few more in her circle and they all run the same scams. So if you like overpriced junk and supporting scammers lifestyles this is the app for you!
Not friendly to international customers. High shipping rates. Giveaways are offered free for U.S.A. users. giveaways for international users, are not free, and sellers are not willing to spend the high shipping rates for international giveaways, so you are able to enter. Same thing applies to buyers giveaways. Not accessible for international users.
Cant change my “state” in CANADA to say my current PROVINCE. Fix this. Restarted the app, deleted and re-installed, signed in again. No help.
This app allows predators and abusive men to threaten and intimidate women on the app. No matter how often you report it, they do nothing about it. This app is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
The app will let me select my country but only gives US states to pick from so I can’t complete the registration process to actually use the app.
I purchased items on here and did not receive them. When seller and I agreed on refund whatnot refused to approve the refund. Garbage customer service and not friendly to Canadian buyers or sellers.
If you love to scam, this is the place for you. Was sold two pieces of paper even though I bought Pokemon cards. Whatnot support does not know what a real pokemon card looks like and asked I authenticate through a third party despite me showing them I was sent a piece of white paper.
I spent 1 day as a Whatnot user and instantly regretted my decision to make an account. In no way am I recommending this platform to any fellow Canadians. It appears a seller does not have to make their international shipping rates clear upfront. I signed up thinkng this platform is supposed to be fun given the spontaneous nature of all the live feeds, but quickly learnt getting caught up in the excitment can bite you in more ways than simply not hitting anything nice in a break. So I won two breaks spots fot $35 total, didn't hit much, and then got a bill for $73 USD. I reached out as fast as I could and said the seller could keep my original bid price of $35 and the cards. In no way did I wish to spend another $38 to receive a couple of base cards. Unfortunately it took customer service 4 days to get back to me and the cards are already in transit. I still can't find anything posted on hte breaker's page that states how much they charge for shipping. Lesson learned. Overall I see the utility in Whatnot, just make sure you find breakers in your own home country.
I’m trying to figure out why nobody ships to Canada and what’s worse is when I’ve asked 3 times nobody responds. It seems like it’s probably all stolen merchandise because stolen property can’t cross the border.
Please be careful with this app because I have been scammed out of 3554 dollars from this selling platform
If you’re buying from the US to ship to Canada good luck customs will charge you depending on how much it costed
I purchased items from a particular seller on whatnot and the seller did not send me the items I paid for and ignored my messages. I contacted whatnot support to ask for a refund under the buyer protection policy. I received an email back from whatnot support and they accused me of abusing the buyer protection policy, even though this was my first time going through this process. Also accusing me of fraud, was their reason for not refunding me under their policy. Be cautious that if you get scammed out of money that whatnot support will not help you. Brutal app.
This app is selling counterfeit Biosteel. Buyer beware!
I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding the item I purchased from your platform. The product has a rip, a flaw that was intentionally hidden during your live show. This lack of transparency is both unacceptable and disrespectful to your buyers. As customers, we trust sellers to provide accurate and honest representations of their products. Deliberately hiding defects is not only misleading but also undermines that trust entirely. This experience has left me feeling disgusted and disheartened, and I will be reconsidering any future purchases from your store. I am expressing my frustration and disappointment regarding yet another experience with a misrepresented item from your store. This is the second time I’ve encountered an issue where flaws were not disclosed during the sale, and it is extremely upsetting. Such behavior demonstrates irresponsible selling practices and breaks the trust customers place in your store. As a loyal customer who has purchased extensively from your platform, I expect better standards and transparency. It is disheartening to see such behavior being tolerated, as it reflects poorly on the platform and the seller’s commitment to integrity.
Just made an account and got instantly locked out after adding my address, number and verifying. Terrible experience overall and stuck going back and forth with bot support through email trying to dispute this error. Would def not recommend this for new users because you will get instantly locked out of any features.
Can’t verify my address & says my phone number is invalid. There solution is for me to send a photo of my drivers license to them via unsecure email. Bad app + bad service = 1 ⭐️
Enables scamming and rewards them for squeezing money out of regular people. Doesn’t reprimand sellers breaking laws
Have seen the videos online of the shady stuff going here. Has never happened to me until now. Won two giveaways and some pretty decent cards in a Joe Hollywood show and mysteriously USPS “lost” the package. Has never happened on all the stuff I skunk on or isn’t valuable…just coincidentally happened on something I actually did well on. Now I get a $20 credit as a “I’m sorry” from whatnot and my money returned. Nothing shady happening here lol
Would be a five star rating if it wasn’t for the 5+ double charges on the same item over multiple days
Made a small purchase and didn’t realize how high shipping would be and canceled the order for a refund. I didn’t receive the full refund and the support team is not helping me get the rest
All big streams have shill bidders, running up bids. It’s annoying. People overpay for products, and get scammed. -also Most sellers do gambling games.
The seller showed one thing and send me another, shipping costed me more than the items itself which I was not aware before. Tried cancelling the item but the seller didn’t approve. Never suggesting this app to anyone.
This app is for USA citizens the shipping is insane as well as giveaways are usually only USA do not download otherwise you just want to browse
A few days after downloading I received a phishing email masked as coming from Apple. Beware- scam
Purchased a 17 dollar item. Won the bid then when it charged me it was 60 dollars to ship. Will be filing a complaint with consumer protection agency and BBB
I guess Canada is not allowed to participate…. UK no prob… but Canada no. So dumb.
I am a casual coin collector. I dowloaded the app to see what can be offered here. After a few minutes of confusing tiktok like weird behaviour from the app i deleted it.
This app doesn’t let Canadians use it to its full advantages. Kinda useless thus far.
No se porque permiten vender cosas falsas la verdad la app está súper pero los vendedores venden cosas falsas
Shipping is outrageous especially with in Canada
I have a whatnot account that I purchase a lot of products and spend a lot of money on here. My son who streams is also on here. He is 17 and we followed the rules by being in supervision for all of his shows. Some reason my account to start a seller account is blocked which makes no sense. So I can spend my money but I can’t make money because it’s under review of my age. I’m a 45 year old father of two and their responses to emails is ridiculous. It’s taken over 5 days to get an answer of what’s going on. There isn’t even someone you can talk to. You just have to wait for an email.
Darn shipping starts at 19.99 for one card. Just not worth it.
It’s not worth downloading, scammers and so much Ai slop on the screen where I just uninstalled. What a mess.
I use this app for sports cards to join breaks and repacks. It’s cheaper than buying boxes. The issue is as a Canadian all the best sellers are from the USA. This means you will pay taxes and shipping and get slammed heavy. Sadly this is a joke. No discount or help. Buyers are not protected or helped in these scenarios.
Customer service claims they have resolved your issue when they have not. Would rate zero stars if I could. Will not be purchasing from this app anymore due to their customer service.
Order are marked delivered before they reach their destination and yet are never delivered!
These prices are crazy high. If you think 20-25% off is a good deal then you’re in the right place.
Most shows are gambling not buying be careful and watch before bidding
You can only win stuff and get stuff cheap if you’re in America. Otherwise, you don’t win anything at all, and the Canadian creators are never live.
So I just about went to DL this app and omg. The amount of horrible things that have happened to ppl here on This app is horrendous. I’ll stick to my slave labour sites -iykyk - and order From there cause this app ain’t seem to be it
I bought a card and recieved something .i bought a Tony Tony chopper card and got a bunch of random one peice cards and on top they were just put in a envolope not even sleeved
Je me suis fait frauder ma carte de crédit après l’avoir mis sur cette application. Je vous le déconseille!
