The Pilot Handbook app is based on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) premier pilot training manual titled Pilot’s Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge ( FAA-H8083-25A updated with October 2014 changes). This app provides knowledge that is essential for pilots, student pilots, and instructors.

Must Have!!!!This is a great app for all aviators. When I am standing in line at the store, I can open it and read a couple pages. I am a CFI and I am going to request all my students with iphone's get this. No longer do you have to carry the bulky handbook around and can access it anytime. Great appI love the search function. Yes, you can get all this info free from the FAA, but you have to download them by chapter. Here, it is all in one place. I use it all the time as a CFI/CFII/MEI. Great Compilation...I am a commercially rated, recreational flyer from Canada. I was quite involved in flight training MANY years ago but since have been quite restricted on my availability to remain current and have and thus have several times needed to refresh before "retaking the controls"! This app is super for me to revisit the topics as I require and at the detail that I find necesary. It does a sobering job at reminding us why currency and familiarity is sooo important at any experience level of flying!! I would like to see some cross border referencing to help bond the differences between US and Cndn regs and such. Otherwise I find the topics to be covered with simplicity and yet with necessary detail. This is an App I will keep in my EFB. I would recommend it to experienced and novice alike.
