Greatest metronome app ever!I have been playing percussion basically my entire life, and have gone through quite a few different metronomes that were okay. I mean, they kept time, sure, but they couldn’t do a good many things that would have helped me improve. This metronome does that. For instance, the 4/4 time setting is not static on this metronome. You can change the number of beats per measure among other things in case you need to practice playing a song like “The Ocean” by Led Zeppelin (which is in 7/8 time). Plus, I’m sure I need not mention the amazing array of sounds and customization available in this app. You can even play to uploaded songs. No need to tap it out yourself and find the correct timing before going off of the actual song and using the metronome (which is time consuming and quite annoying, if you ask me). You can just hit the song you need and it will give you the correct timing and bpm for it. These producers made an amazing app that is free (or includes a small, one-time purchase if you want a REALLY good experience like me) and is very high quality. They just did an outstanding job and I can HIGHLY recommended this app to anyone who has been a long-time musician or even is just starting out. To the producers, thank you so much. The Greatest Metronome for Me!Well, I never really downloaded myself. I was recommended this app because of my Piano Teacher. Turns out, It is a solid one! I have been using this app ever since I STARTED PIANO 3 YEARS AGO!!! I can tell you this producers, you've done a very well done job! But, I only do the basics since my teacher told me not to mess with anything else. And I know why, since it's really complicated for me. Remember, I'm just getting THE HANG of it! So I would like to make a suggestion for you. Can you please do a tutorial or instructions once they downloaded it? Because, the new people trying out your app DOESN'T have a clue what to do! THE MetronomeI’ve used this metronome for over 5 years. At face value, a metronome is a metronome….. but I love that I can customize the sounds of the clicks for different listening situations to always make sure the metronome comes through my mix clearly, and to always make sure my accents are where I need them to be. I also like to use the actual drum sounds that are built in. I can make a full 4 bar drum loop and place my kicks and snares where I want them for some fun jam sessions. They recently changed their monetization system for their premium services to a subscription. I did use the premium version for years where I only paid the up front price of a few dollars. This is the only metronome I use. After all these years, it’s the only metronome I want to use. Their annual pricing is very reasonable and absolutely worth it for me. I couldn’t imagine using another app for my metronome needs..Version: 4.1.4

The Voice Counting Is SO HelpfulMy school Orchestra is coming up. I play percussion. One of the pieces were playing is SLOW. I play snare in it, and, while the rhythms are easy, once I tried playing them at the correct speed, they fell apart. I decided to try playing with a Metronome. At first, this app didn’t help me. It wasn’t the apps fault, the metronome just wasn’t helping. I was about to give up on the metronome, when i discovered that you can change how it sounds. I looked through it, and I saw Voice. I decided to try it, it couldn’t hurt. Suddenly, it started Counting. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4… I don’t know how to explain it, but, once I did this. I just, got it. I played through the piece, and while I had trouble on some of the rhythms, I was playing it mostly correctly, with the right tempo. 10 Out of 10, Would Recommend.Version: 3.13.2

Great for Music TeachersI use this app as a choral director and private voice instructor and I recommend it to my students. It’s user friendly, and my students are able to easily use it for their practices away from me. In my Choral rehearsals, we refer to this app as Mr. Metronome, and my singers get to hear it over a Bluetooth speaker. They groan when I bring out Mr. Metronome—but they are always better afterwards! Perhaps I’ve missed it, but I would love a feature that would allow me to program in meter changes, as this happens quite a bit in Renaissance vocal music. Example: 32 measures at 4/4, followed by 8 measures of 3/4, then back to 4. Its a small issue, really. I simply adjust the strong beats right now so everything sounds the same when we have mixed meter, but I’d pay for a programmable feature like that. Thanks for a great app!.Version: 3.13.2

So far the most professional metronome I can findI have to say it wasn’t intuitive when I first bought it (I paid, didn’t I?). I never had music instrument training in my life but recently started to play drums. I got a few metronome apps, paid or free. This one looks a bit complicated, for a couple of months I only used the basic functions. When I started to train for doubles (the big big), it’s function to speed up automatically makes HUGE difference. It’s also super flexible to set subdivisions or triplets and save the tempo, so I can switch from rock drumming to jazz literally in a second. If you are serious about training, this is the only metronome you need, it has everything. Be a little patient and find out where everything is. I had no common sense on music, nothing was intuitive to me, but if I can find it, surely you can..Version: 3.13.2

Great app and customer serviceThis is my favorite metronome app. Simple interface, yet it can do complex stuff if you want it to. I like the pendulum and other means to visually see when the next beat is coming, and different ways you can emphasize beats. I also like the fact that it works in portrait or landscape mode. It also has a measure counter which I find helpful so I don’t make my 16 bar songs 15 or 17 bars. Finally, in the latest version they added comparability with a foot pedal. It works great with the “Stomp” that I bought. It was new to them and it took a couple of conversations over email, though I was able to get upgraded to the latest version that supports the pedal. I never would expect to have such good communication and customer service from an inexpensive app developer..Version: 4.2.1

Just a great idea for you.I love this app. I haven't even touched upon all its features yet but I was curious to use it with my iwatch and hoped that it had this one feature in mind. Rather than simply being a remote control for the phone app, could the app integrate to the use of the vibration and pulse notification feature that the watch has? This could allow the wearer to feel the pulse of the tempo while in use. Sounds like a stretch but I'm sure someone out there is working on it. If not, you should. I could see this being a new and important tool in the studio or on live stage especially if you can sync between multiple devices. For studio use it would make sense if the DAW could control the start and stop function for the Iwatch wearer to stay in sinc with the recording. Good luck. Great app, but lazyPlenty of reviser talking about the comprehensive feature set: almost overwhelming. If you need more than this thing has then you need more than a metronome. However, I hate to launch this app. Sometimes I have to stare at the ugly launch screen for 10 seconds. Frequently much longer. Sometimes I have to force quit and try again. It’s maddening, and it has a tendency to destroy my flow when I’m practicing. What is it doing?! Sending my photos library to the moon? Going through my contacts to see if I’m friends with anyone who can get Taylor Swift tickets for the developer? Every time?! What could it possibly be doing?! I was inclined to give the app fewer stars because it has trained me to not want to use a metronome at all. It’s probably greedily checking to see if I’ve purchased the app. I have. In-App Purchases Notification bugI downloaded this app just recently because I wasn't satisfied with my other metronome app, and let me just say it blows it out of the water. Just one problem... On my phone, I have In-App Purchases disabled, because most apps I go onto love to flood you with In-App Purchases, which wasn't a problem since I disabled it. ...Until now. When I boot up the app (every single time, even when multi-tasking), I always get two of the same message: "Oops! Device not authorized for In-App Purchase. You must enable it in System Settings." I didn't mind it at first, but EVERY time I refer to a song and come back, it gives me the same notice again, and again, and again, until I delete the app, actually adjust the settings (which I adjusted years ago and can't remember how to fix nor will fix), or wait until the next update. This app has a lot of potential, so I'm hoping the review to fix this bug comes out soon..Version: 3.13.2

Only one I needI love all of the features! I love everything about the app, I really do. I've had dozens of metronome apps but this is the only one I actually enjoy using. It's boring enough playing to a click, but these guys actually have given my click a bit of personality which enables me to play to my click as much as I should. My chops are better than ever and it's simply because of how much I use this app! My only wish is that I had a larger variety of sounds to choose from, as to blend into different songs a little more seamlessly. Id also like to have different color schemes to choose from. Almost perfect but not quite.Why pay $16 on other metronome apps? Here's why. As a new drummer, I need all the help I can get with my timing and rhythm. This app is wicked neat and helps me with just that. My absolute favorite part of the app is the mute option. You can mute for a specified number of measures or random. Don't like random mutes, when using the voice counting and the count talking is the 'and'. Easier to tell it how many measures to be quiet. One more thing, the app hasn't been updated in a year. So here's my 2 cents. Having large numbers on the faceplate counting for You would be awesome. Like seeing a huge 2 or a 4 or a "2 and", flash on the screen, yeah that would be neat. The blinky bars at the top work but numbers would be light years better. I'm a pro user so I'd pay extra for Large number flashes. Please move the timer on the home screen away from landscape option They are too close together and I'm always hitting landscape when I want to access the timer. This gets annoying. Oh I'd pay a boatload to be able to put in my own grooves to practice too. But not $16. $8.00 you bet!!!!! OK. That's enough. Music teacher likesI teach guitar/voice to kids in an after school Academy. I switched to this app two months ago and I love it! I make all my students get this app. It's beautiful, the interface is easy and there's so much control. I can change the sounds, change the beat block etc. But my fav part: a one button click that adds sub beats. I also play guitar professionally so I practice my speed picking on the regular. I'll try a hard lick real slow, and then with one tap (while my fingers are all warmed up) it basically doubled my tempo by adding the 8th note sub divisions. I can also easily change it to triplets which has been a feature that's hard to find on other apps. Great metronome. I'm very pleased..Version: 3.13.2

Needs Update For Apple Watch 3!!I swear by this app more than other metronome apps. I did get the full Pro version and I have been satisfied with it. Just got an Apple Watch 3 (my first Apple Watch) and I notice a decent amount of bugs. The sound sometimes plays from the watch but mostly just starts clicking on my phone. The pre-programmed songs I made only sometimes work. And I think there desperately needs to be settings function on the watch so you can turn the sound off and have it vibrate instead. I’m a music teacher and it would be extremely convenient to have that as feature to subtly check tempo before starting a song in the middle of a performance. Hope this brings these issues to the light for everyone and hope we can get an update because I really do enjoy this app!.Version: 3.13.2

Great! (Kind of...)TLDR; Set a click. Useable set list feature. Easy to preset. Awful click tones. I'm a working drummer and needed to set up a click track in a set list. It does just that. It works, it's easy enough to program, you can download the set as a playlist. Boom. Having an app like this on the market is ridiculously important and useful. The flipping back and forth between screens could be streamlined a little better instead of the weird page flip/attention to graphics. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because the click tones are wretched. Only one of them are unusable in a live setting, and even the woodblock tone is relatively bothersome. There's either too much going on in the click itself (cowbell, jingles, kick drum) or it's a tingy digital thing that is useless. If there was a way to set the click tone I'd give it a million stars..Version: 3.13.2

Good appThis is a good app that they have improved over time. I recently discovered Stage Mode that is very helpful to me as I use the app on stage for our worship band. This app provides the click track for every song we do. It is easy to put each track together and sequence them. However, there are a few features that it doesn't have that would help us a lot. I need to be able to transfer tracks (or my entire list) to another device. I could switch between my iPhone and iPad if they were portable. Or I could transfer them to the band. The guitar players like to setup their delays according to the BPM of the song. The second feature that would help is to be able to set up set lists. I could preset them and just load the one I need for a particular day..Version: 3.13.2

Useful, but please remove volume warning!This app has great features and is very reliable. I love that it clicks rather than beeps, so there’s no pitch to worry about. The one thing that drives me insane is when I turn the volume all the way down, it pops up a window that says “oops! Volume is too low!” And I have to click out of it before I can use the damned thing. I frequently need to clock my students while they are playing, which I obviously can’t do with sound. There are many times when a visual representation only would be helpful... even old school metronomes have the option to use click + light or only light. Please, please let me decide if I want it to be silent! I do this enough that it seriously makes me want to rip my hair out and find another app..Version: 3.13.2

Features!I just needed a metronome when I purchased this app and didn't explore or think I needed anything else. But I keep discovering things that have turned out to be really useful! I love the automator that allows you to program in a series of practice speed levels that can ramp up or down in speed as quickly or slowly as desired. It also calculates how long the practice series will take to complete. Most recently discovered the playlist that I'm using to program the desired time settings for the tunes in my repertoire--and there's a "stage" version that presents them in a larger, easy to access format. Great For All Around Drummers (But only the Pro Version)This app is amazing for all around Drummers such as myself who play multiple percussion instruments such as snare and Drum Kit. When I first downloaded it (which was about 3 years ago) the base app came with a lot of features but then eventually those features got put onto the Pro Version (which may I mention that it's super cheap). Anyways at the time I got the Pro Version it was only $0.99 and now it is $2.99 but I'm telling you if you're a drummer like me please do yourself a favor and get this app I promise you won't regret it and also make sure you get the Pro Version! Great!As a music major in college, this metronome has everything that I could possibly need. My only suggestion would be that on the iPhone X and later models, one cannot pull down the control center on the upper right part of the screen without pressing the yellow screen orientation button within the app. So when I try to adjust my phone's volume (without the use of the side buttons), I always hit the screen orientation button unless I exit the app first then reenter, or mash the physical volume up key on my phone. It's a very small gripe as I could try to train myself to adjust the volume before entering the app, but a suggestion to move that button elsewhere nontheless..Version: 3.13.2

I don’t 5 Star often.This app deserves it because it’s everything a metronome should be! And then some. I love how easy it is to pick your tempo and go. Getting used to the settings is the only thing I found a little confusing, but I persisted and think I got it. I love that it has an Automator practice mode where you can set in a starting tempo and an ending tempo and set a count of bars to repeat and speed up each go around; this makes memorizing music fun for me and being able to get the hard parts of black pages to effortlessly flow from my fingers without having to stop to reset the metronome is wonderful, I can keep up my momentum. AMAZINGGGGI am a young piano player who’s probably been playing for about 2 years. one day i got recommended this app by my piano teacher and she was definitely right to download this. Best Mobile Alternative to Dr. BeatI love the different ways to keep time (visually, aurally). The programmable aspect is great too; you can get through an entire piece without having to stop and adjust the tempo with this feature. The ways you can change the tempo using the dial, typing in a number, or by tapping is excellent. The practice mode is great because it allows you to set the tempo for a certain amount of time at a percentage of the goal speed. It allows my students to structure their slow practice and to actually understand how long they've been practicing a passage at that tempo. Thanks for Bringing Back the Classic UI!While it isn’t the most important feature, I’m very satisfied, surprised even, that the developers actually listened to the newer reviews and made it an option to use the legacy theme. All in all, this is a great metronome app. I’ve been using it for years now. However, I’m still deducting a star for the subscription-style monetization for the pro version. I think it’s completely unnecessary and would much rather opt for a one-time purchase like it used to be, although I’ve never owned the pro version so it isn’t of much importance to me (but if I had any chance of buying the pro version back then, it’s gone now). Good but there’s a big bugIt does almost everything you want it to but there’s a major bug. The time signature doesn’t work. Changing the note doesn’t actually change. Playing in 4/4 will give you 4 quarter notes as to be expected. However playing in 8/8 changes nothing except visually. It will just give you 8 quarter notes. Essentially doubling the time before you see and hear the measure start over again rather. It should take the same amount of time for the measure to repeat but it should be played in 8th notes. This becomes troublesome when you want to play in odd time signatures like 7/8. You don’t see or hear 7 8th notes being played. You will instead just get 7 quarter notes..Version: 3.13.2

The best metronome app? Yep.It is the best metronome app. I absolutely love it and that’s why I am quite disappointed that it seems it is no longer supported. I haven’t been able to find a good alternative, yet, and I suspect there won’t be one for a long time. Either way, aside from some interface adjustments (e.g, improving the landscape mode on iPad to provide similar functionality as the portrait mode), the functionality is amazing. I use it for training with the automator function; to experiment and practice polyrhythms; and, of course, as your run of the mill metronome with all the added bells and whistles this offers..Version: 3.13.2

Really a great appI am my high school marching band’s head drum major, so it’s critical that I have a strong internal pulse. I love using this app (i bought the full version) because of the rhythm training feature, which helps me immensely as a drum major, and I also love that I can program it so it lines up with the music of our marching show. It’s also just a nice app to have during symphonic season when I’m working on etudes. I think all of the subdivision features are super useful and it was definitely worth paying for. Best metronome AppSuper awesome metronome. Could handle basic rhythm to some crazy polyrhythmic stuff. And I haven’t even went full pro mode. Though I’m about to do it. It’s got a lot of cool features. You can read about them below. I LOVE how you can accent each beat, with multiple intensities, to help you feel whatever you are working on. If there was something I would like to see: A bigger brighter visual metronome. Like full screen. I use visual metronomes more than the auditory ones. So a massive bright pulse would be awesome. It would be neat to have a drop down with all of the classical tempo markings. Like you click allegro and it takes you to 120. I use this a ton for solfege. And I’m not a classically minded musician. So I find myself having to look up tempos quite a bit. Especially the less common ones. But these are not complaints. This metronome is far better than the others. Perfect 4/4 meI don’t have much experience with metronomes. I’ve always just played along with the song I was learning. But having timing issues I thought I’d try it out. This app is perfect for me. I don’t want to spend my practice time messing around with an app. I’ve found it really easy to get the most out of my time using it. I probably don’t use the app too it’s fullest, like all the features. But as I’m new to this type of musical aid the basics are just fine for me. It’s never crashed or had an any issues. Best metronome appI've tried a bunch and this really is the best metronome app. I was a little turned off at first by the interface since I thought it looked a little dated in terms of having a "hi-tech" look, but I got over it quickly once I learned the functionality. My favorite part is the wide selection of tones - including an actual human sounding "1-2-3-4". Having the large wheel in the center makes it easy to quickly change the tempo without your hand leaving the instrument for too long. Lastly, I love that you can adjust the accents. Best metronome everI’ve been trying to learn bass for the last few months and only recently discovered what a metronome is used for... this app is absolutely perfect for learning rhythm and timing. I love how it’s not just one digital sounding click noise when you can actually change it to sound like real drums and arrange how you want it to play. This is a tried and true metronomePreface: have been using this app for over 4 years and have paid for the pro version. I can’t tell you how useful this tool is. It has been a great app for practicing and even learning rhythms. I HIGHLY recommend this metronome. Works well for me!One of the functions of it that I enjoy is the ability to choose which beats are emphasized. You can set beat one to mute, beat two to volume lvl 3, beat three to volume lvl 1, and beat four to volume 2 or however you’d like to set it up. Being able to choose the sound effect is nice, but then being able to adjust each beat in the bar can be helpful as well. I like the app for what it is and, at least right now, it’s not throwing adds up every two seconds which is perhaps my favorite thing about it. Cheers.Version: 3.13.2

I LOVE THISI think this is super helpful because I started orchestra a couple months ago and the metronome I was using just wasn’t loud enough and I was getting frustrated but when I got this app I was instantly relieved because it shows you when you need to play and stop your note basically and that was my problem because I would start training off and this helps me be on track. AmazingThis app is great, and it has a lot of features, such as you being able to change the tempo, the bpm, and the 4/4 setting is not static as it usually is in other metronomes. I read some bad reviews saying, ‘The last beat will just mute itself!’ But don’t listen to that, just go to settings and turn off rhythm trainer, And there are other reviews saying, “the tempo will randomly jump up” but that’s because you’re in practice mode, you dimwit. This app has balanced me.Whether you are a musician or not, there is something that I think everybody can get from this metronome. It's simplicity and design has allowed me to be more relaxed and become more balanced with my body. Whether practicing instruments, writing new material, dancing, or meditating, this is my go to. I start with this app and choose a pulse. It has trained me to be more mindful of empty space. I used to think a click was not important in the past. Man, was I wrong! The key features I love right now (although I'm sure I would love more as I explore further): Rhythm trainer Simple Utilitarian design Plenty of click tones The pendulum mode And plenty more but I want to get back to practicing! Only feature I really want right now is Ableton Link. Developers, please just think about it. To everyone else, the paid version is totally worth it for just a few bucks. None otherI’ve had this app for years but recently my phone got water damage and upon restoring my phone, this app hadn’t downloaded because “it was no longer available”. After searching for weeks trying to find a met with similar qualities I almost cried because there’s just nothing like this one. I happened to just check this app again and it was downloaded! Shiftable SetlistI love this metronome program. Unfortunately however, in a recent update, they removed the ability to rearrange “song titles” in a playlist. Before, you could grab a title in the playlist and drag it up and down in the order of titles. This is an imperative need in the edit playlist function that will hopefully return asap. if I am overlooking this revised functionality can you please advise. I need it for tonight’s show! And then for next week’s shows too, that will have a different order of songs in the play list. But I am unable to do so in this recent revision. Please advise..Version: 3.13.2

Just what I was looking forThe visuals help me with timing by precisely indicating when the note ought be struck with the moving bar and it’s “pong like” quickness when reversing direction. I can match duration with the lighting up of the block indicating the beat divisions. When I match it correctly it feels like the note is lighting the block and I know I am in time. Also, I like the portrait/landscape feature because I can set my phone up horizontally with my capo for a stand. The pro one has a programmable “schedule” that can help you go through a system of sorts with different practices and a rhythm trainer and other features. Only negative I see is that I can’t use it with tonebridge or my amp app. It would be better if I could plug it in while using my iRig with an amp on my phone. It would be even better if there was an indicator of my accuracy, maybe a complementary colored, thin vertical line that flashed slightly longer past the click or something..Version: 3.13.2

Works great for me and for my entire school at Alexandrova School of Music!I highly recommend this app! Free, reliable, attractive, very accessible and always there for me :) sometimes kids just dislike using metronomes and make them disappear- not with this one! Everyone has a phone or iPad and that makes it always handy. I use it for my own personal practice and also for my teachings. I recommend it to all my clients. Love it! Very cool metronomeI’ve been using this metronome for a while now, and it’s great. I myself am a percussionist, but even when I play, I can still hear it, so the volume is great. Don’t even get me started with having AirPods in though. It’s perfect, the clicks ring throughout my whole body. I also like the option of having a robot voice announce which beat you’re on. Great metronomeI’m just using the free tool, but it works great. Easy to adjust and set to various time signatures. It would be great if you could set multiple time signatures in a sequence, but that might be a big ask for a free tool..Version: 3.13.2

FrozenHello, I’ve had this app for a few years and never had any issues, until recently. Most of the times the app is frozen, I can’t do anything. I’ve tried restarting my phone, closing and reopening the app and nothing. It works like one out of 5 times I try using it. Is it a bug? Is there an update coming soon?
