Not Just For Mimes, I Mean Rhymes!I spend a good deal of time writing, or in attempts to do so. RZ [and an etymological app, Etymonline] are two mobile apps I often use on my phone while writing on my computer. I like using RZ as both a personal and professional tool. About half my writing and editing time is devoted to journal articles, social media posts, course manuals, etc. The other half of is in working to write good poems, even for those in which rhyme is unimportant. Recently I noticed once again that I keep using the app to go back and forth between RZ and the others applications I use to edit or compose text. RZ lets me choose to search for words that rhyme with the word I’m starting with, certainly. (This may be especially fun for those who like their rhymes slanted). But you may also select a search based on any of the following criteria: Rhymes, Near Rhymes, Same, Consonant Sound, Homophones, Similar Sound, Synonyms, Antonyms, Related to Meaning. I found that last criterion to be surprisingly useful. You may also sort by combinations of criteria! RZ updates over time have been useful. I especially like the pop-up choices for where to retrieve and display definitions from within the app..TGBizmoVersion: 2.7

My preference for rhyme referenceUpdate: i still love using this app but am writing with a feature request. Could you make it possible to select multiple words to copy and paste into my word processor, so I don’t have to bring possible words over one by one? Sometimes, it would be nice to work from a subset of all possible rhymes. Maybe there could be a “select” mode that I could activate and then touch on those words I want? Original and still valid review: I use this app and website all the time. It’s got rhymes, near rhymes and links to definitions. Super Portable Rhyming DictionaryI cannot count the number of times that I have written poetry or a song and needed my rhyming dictionary, only to realize that I had forgotten to carry it along with me. In some ways, it was not convenient to carry along, so I left it at Home on purpose. However, this app is so portable and so useful that it goes with me everywhere. Sometimes I would have carried my rhyming dictionary with me, but deliberately left it at home because I knew I could depend on this app to help me when I needed it. Honestly, I still prefer my book, my big rhyming dictionary, but this app is sure handy whenever it is needed! I do use it often due to its availability and portability. Paid for the app—Now it’s ALL ADS ALL THE TIMEI paid for this app and use it regularly. As of this morning, it is filled with advertisements. Both the top and bottom with flashing ads. If I paid for the program, why is the page plastered with ads? The developer has ruined this program. I will look for a similar program from a developer who has more integrity. AwesomeI love Rhyme Zone because they always have the perfect rhyme for my situation. Whether I’m writing a song, poem, or just curious to find out what other rhymes a certain word has, they’ve got me covered! I don’t use the poem tool that often, because there aren’t that many words in most of the results. When it does work it is great! Too much scrollingWhenever I write poetry, I always use the Rhymezone website. When I found that there was an official Rhymezone app, I purchased right away. Upon use, I was greatly disappointed as I had to scroll through many many pages just to see my choices. It was just annoying and tiresome. Love this app!!I use RhymeZone religiously for my poetry. I have the app for iPad and iPhone, and it works like a charm, no bugs or issues for me. The desktop website has some additional features (like searching for words by which syllables are stressed—IMMENSELY useful) that I hope are implemented in the future, but as-is, the app is still magnificent. Invaluable Songwriting ToolWhile the rhyme dictionary in my ‘songwriting’ app struggles with syllables and ChatGPT rhymes with the same word… this app has continually improved. Some tips are to use ‘near rhymes’ feature, especially for singing, since you don’t always hit the consonants or could be singing country. Also, if you have a word like ‘insane’, just use ‘sane’ to get better rhymes up top..Toobig2loseVersion: 2.7

It’s okay-ishSometimes the rhymes/near rhymes are the same or they’re just the word you submitted with another word in front of them (I know it’s called a compound word but it doesn’t really count). I had higher hopes considering I paid for it but it doesn’t crash or bug out too bad. I enjoy the work put into it but you could just use the site in your browser and be fine. Probably the app I use the most honestly.I use this app just about everyday. It’s the only app that gives you literally every word close to another in any way shape or form. I’m a rapper so whenever it comes to needing an assist in writing, the only thing RhymeZone does is gives you words and that’s honestly perfect for me when I write. Spoken Word poetryI absolutely love this app. I use it a lot of the time when I’m writing new material but not always it’s a good thing to have especially when you are into writing! This layout sucks…it’s literally just the website in a app.This layout is horrible on the iPad (not sure of any other device). :{ I may as well just use the website, if I click on a word it looks like website anyways. It’s like all they did is take away the layout from the webpage that shows the words separated by commas, and just threw it in a tiny scrollable list that’s hard to see and have to scroll your life away to find anything because it’s squished to the side of the screen, while about 3/4 of my screen is literally being unused at times. I understand I can minimized the scroller - however, I am upset I literally just paid $3 to have the website in an app, when it looks exactly the same and functions the same for free on a web browser. The only exception is this extra scroller on the screen… Really only use it for rhymes and the syllables of words. Not worth the money if going to your website is free. 🤷‍♀️.YOLKSACKVersion: 2.7

Whenever I would type a word in the near rhymes search bar it wouldn’t even show the full results for the word typed in, in fact every single different search bar you type something in it wouldn’t even show the full result, and then when you can’t find any results they have you go to the safari version and look there.
