Nothing earth shattering...Software does mediocre job at accurately recognizing words. My big complaint is it only records for a short time (15 seconds maybe) before cutting you off without notification..Version: 3.0
An entertaining app...So we had some good laughs and contests to see who could get it to work perfectly (none of us could win two sentences though; enunciate as we might). Our fun ended when the error: "couldn't connect to server" stopped EVERYTHING! I'm glad it was free today cause I would NEVER buy a voice app that can't work away from a wifi server. A truly functional app!Sure, truly function might seem like a mediocre description for someone that has given this app a 5-star rating, but think about how man apps make promises and fall way short of what they're supposed to do. So far, this app has successfully transcribed every word, verbatim, that I have spoken. I've even tried to slur my speech (deliberately), but it still transcribed all my words successfully. The only wish I have is that it could transcribe the end of each sentence with the appropriate punctuation. So, truly functional, in my book, means that it is truly impressive! I've even placed the app on the bottom line as part of my top-tier apps, so I can access it quickly. I highly recommend this app..Version: 1.4
Can't beat free!I'm a native English speaker (US). Just tested this about a dozen times with a lot of background noise. There were only two times it didn't notice one or two words but even with that, the recognition and translation were good enough to send a text and have the recipient understand the text. I even tested curse words and it recognized them, albeit inserting an asterisk in place of one letter :-) This is a handy little app for times when physically typing a text is impossible..Version: 1.4
Powerful but not as seamless as SiriFor those of us who appreciate Siri on the iPhone and who miss this function on the iPad, this simple application provides a very reliable and powerful method for dictating text in a number of languages. I have found the voice recognition in both English and French to be superb, and it's very easy to switch from one language to the other -well beyond the capabilities of Siri. On the other hand, it seems a shame that this application lacks any direct interface with standard programs such as email. Each block of text must be copied and pasted individually into the final document. The copy function does not allow for additional recording before repeating the process for another paragraph. Still, this clever little tool can be a tremendous timesaver..Version: 2.8
Apple should use it on SIRII use portuguese language to dictate and it really understands what I am saying. It is very helpful, press once, dictate, press again to choose what you want to do with the text and you are done. Apple should pay attention to this app and once for all make SIRI understand portuguese!!! Thanks for the nice and useful app!.Version: 1.6
DictationI really like this app . It is easy to cut and paste your message to email text or other documents. My only criticism is that you can not stop and start again. Once you stop dictating you have to use it or lose it That was disappointing. You Better know what you want to say before you begin your dictation.Version: 2.3

It's okaySo far, it has been saying "failed to connect to server" every time I try to speak into the voice thing. I like the app when it actually works. Although it only worked for me for the first five minutes then it started screwing up. Needs to be fixed before I give it anything above three stars..Version: 1.4
Grab it!It's definitely a cool app! If you have Siri or voice dictation though it's kind of pointless.. But it's the thought that counts.... I still have an iPhone 4 & I use a completely different more accurate one. This one records & 2/5 times get it right.Version: 1.4

SECOND ROUND MUCH BETTERI initially panned this app as I tried four messages and none of them were even close. I then thought that maybe it had to do with the selected language. I picked the British English in the hopes of getting the spelling the same as Canadian English. However, when I thought about it I went back and changed it to American English and so far so good. It works pretty much as advertised. Only issue so far is being able to go back and see the 'history'. It appears that with each new message, the last ones are deleted. That feature may be there but I've not yet cracked the code. Good one, thank you.Version: 1.4
