Better than StubHub10 years ago I bought tickets from StubHub for floor seats to a Pearl Jam show. I informed StubHub that I suspected the tux were fake because not even fan club members had received their tickets (I had tix to other shows via the fan club). StubHub said I could buy without reservation because they stand by any ticket sale. At the venue there were many StubHub signs around. It was going to be an experience. I was 7th in line with my brother to make sure we’d be on the rail when the gates opened. After waiting in line all day when they told us to get our wristbands and asked for tickets they said my tickets were fake. StubHub and security had me get out of line said there was nothing they could do. Despite showing them my correspondence with them prior to buying the tickets, etc, they said they didn’t have anything comparable and gave me tix on the 200 section. The doors opened and I was at the bar and the ticket office called me and they “reconsidered” and magically gave me floor seats. Of course I was no longer anywhere near the front and the experience was ruined.

5 Stars until todaySo I’ve bought tickets to numerous events through Seat Geek and haven’t had any problems until today. I purchased tickets for the Indianapolis 500, I got my tickets just fine, my issue is with the formatting of the tickets I had. The tickets only showed my Box, Section, and Seat. For those of you familiar with Indianapolis Motor Speedway, you’ll immediately see the problem with that. IMS is a massive facility, so there are multiple different grandstands for seating, and each grandstand uses the same box, section, and seating labels. Imagine my surprise when I get to the racetrack and can’t find my seat because I don’t even know which grandstand my seats were located in. None of the track workers were able to help me out, and as a last resort I was about to contact Seat Geek customer support, I clicked the help button and next came up an order confirmation screen, and the grandstand information was THERE. I wasted an hour of running around talking to track workers and ticketing agents to help me, I missed a lot of prerace activities such as driver intros just to find where my seats were, only for it to be hidden behind the help menu, rather than on my actual tickets. If Seat Geek can fix this formatting issue, it’d be 5 stars, but the trouble it caused me today I had to take some stars off. Parking tickets for game day - OSU vs Texas - ticket didn’t workI bought a parking ticket for game day through the seat geek and when I got to the parking garage , parking was full, and I couldn’t park. I left for the game with the assumption that I had reliable parking ticket, but i paid the price and had to struggle for 30 more minutes before I was able to pay for another parking spot and walk to the stadium. As result, I missed start of the game and almost 1/2 of the first quarter. So waisted my football ticket for the season opening game that I paid top dollars. QuirksPrices are better than other apps but I’ve had two major issues. Last summer I bought 3 concert tickets in one day. For some reason, one of them gave me a problem. When I got to my first concert, I couldn’t find the email with the barcode attached. I spent 45 minutes at the box office while the show was going on before someone behind the counter finally found a way to text me the barcode so I could be allowed in. By then I had missed almost the entire opening band. For another show, I decided to prepay for parking on the app. When I did, I was not notified that payment was received or confirmed and so ended up paying twice. I called customer service twice because the first time the phone rang for half an hour and I had to give up. The next time I called it it took 50 minutes before a live person got to me. It then took another 45 minutes before the issue was resolved and she send me a link to refund the money. I’d say the app is not as user friendly as I would like. Bad experience but AMAZING team.First of all, tickets are 10x more expensive than any other website. I spent $388 on 2 tickets just to see a small artist in concert and after I had already bought them, I look on other websites and see the tickets selling for $40 for 2 tickets. That was already a scam. On top of that, the tickets don’t even work at the door! They scanned my barcode and told me the tickets were invalid. They also don’t give refunds unless the event has been cancelled. However, I thank the people working for seatgeek for helping me and guiding me for questions I had. Expensive Fees and No Ability to Add Seat Specific InfoWhile some of these concerns are with the company business model, the app could be better, too.
SeatGeek takes 30%!!! That is nuts. 10% from the seller and 20% from the buyer. The excessive fees are too much.
As for the app:
- The “Deal Score” technique uses an unfair algorithm. They assume that closer to the field is always better. While this may be true at a concert, it’s not necessarily true at a soccer venue. Being in row 15 may be better than row 3 because you can see the field better. I understand court-side/ringside/on field seats are valuable because you’re closer to the action, but center of the field in a spot below the perfectly located suites is not worse than a seat that is 12 rows closer to the field.
- App should allow contribution/feedback on Deal Score valuation. + points for aisle. + points for no one behind you. + points for view of activity.
- App should allow photos from the actual seat to show location and view of the pitch. I have noticed that tickets in some stadiums will show images from the seat or at least representative seats in that section.
- App should allow seat owners to add seat-specific marketing. There is no ability to add customized marketing or highlight seat features. Something like, “Purchase of 4 seats comes with SeatGeek on-site parking pass”. Or “Seat is steps from bar or air conditioned club”

Horrible customer serviceI received an error message trying to post my tickets for sale. Seat Geek has no way you can call and talk to anyone. Customer Service rep Luis told me the reason there was an error was “my fault” because my “sift score” was too high. A sift score is something they calculate based on how many times you attempt to sell your tickets. The wonderful solution was to “wait 24 hours and try again” for an event that starts in 36 hours. I explained I tried to post the tickets one time and received that message so not sure how that would be possible. I asked if there was anyone he could connect me with that could help to which he responded “he could escalate the issue and I will hear back from someone in 24 hours” I asked if there was a manager I could speak with and he said no. I asked if there was a phone number I could call to speak to anyone and he said no. I spent the next 7 hours being bounced around from one person to another being told I would be called back “within the hour” “in the next 2-3 hours” and finally “by 9:30pm tonight”. I ended up solving the issue myself, the error was that I was trying to sell the tickets below the amount I purchased them for. There wasn’t a person that works for this company that could tell me that information in 7 hours and 5+ customer service reps. Buyer BewareI’ll preface this interview by saying that the one star is related to the service I received during the process of my ticket refund.
I had bought tickets to a concert that were going to be released within 24 hours of when the concert starts. 24 hours came and went, and despite having a confirmed purchase, the seller of the tickets never transferred the tickets to me. Admittedly this is out of their control and not their fault, however when I went to contact Seat Geek about the tickets, I found that the service number was no longer in use and directed you to an email system. I emailed about my problem and then did not hear back for several hours. I did more searching and found a live chat option and reached out. At this point the concert was starting in less than 12 hours. After chatting back and forth with a client, the client said we needed to give the seller more time to transfer the tickets and said he would be in touch via email. After touching base a few times when prompted by one of emails, the conversation went dark two hours before gates opened. I did not receive a response for over an hour and a half before I went back to the live chat and had to work through another 25 minute conversation with a client before finally getting a refund on my tickets. They did stand by the 100% refund, but you have to fight for it.

Worst Ticketing APP EVERLong story short, I was purchasing VIP tickets for a concert and I Initiated a purchase for a set of tickets and the transaction failed I the. Go and exit out of the app close it and go back in to purchase tickets and the second time I tried I was able to purchase a different set of tickets and that went through fine. So I get a confirmation email right that second but then I see that I had two charges on my card that were fully processed and I contacted there customer service and they told me that they are very strict in resell and transferring vip tickets that nothing could be done. Currently scamming me out money they owe meThis app and company can’t be trusted. Either their customer service is guided to delay proper support and extend payout durations or their support is TOTALLY incompetent. No Respect for Consumers TimeI had purchased tickets to a concert 4 days before the event. I received a confirmation email, but never received any tickets. The venue was switched, which I was not notified about without doing my own research. I contacted two customer support members, one over chat and one over the phone. They were both very helpful, but failed to resolve my problem. I had traveled an hour and a half to the location of this event and waited in line for 4 hours to assure good general admission sitting. Works Great Until it Doesn’tIf I’d written a review two weeks ago this would’ve been an easy, enthusiastic 5 stars. I go to tons of live events. I’d relied on Seat Geek without issue for years now. Last weekend, I had a horrible experience. The $400 ticket I’d purchased months ago was never transferred to me. Ok, not great. It’s a scam. That’s not entirely Seat Geek’s fault. What is though, is the customer service. Despite being assured I would get a refund for the ticket I purchased and never received by multiple support agents, I’ve yet to see any indication that anything will happen. Multiple agents have told me they’d escalate the issue and follow up either in a few hours, or by end of day, or by the next day. Nothing. Never any follow up. Not from a single one. Grossly unprofessional.
As it stands right now, this joke of a platform is scamming me out of $100s of dollars. That’s simply unacceptable. I cannot believe that I’ve recommended Seat Geek to other people. I feel like a fool for setting them up to experience what I did and I feel disappointed because now I’m down what was a reliable source for tickets. Buyer BewareI would have never gotten this app except I attended a sports event where the organizers linked the tickets to this. After a decent experience once, I purchased tickets for a theatre event on the app. There is supposedly a Buyers Protection Guarantee which the “internal team” refuses to honor. I was horrified to have the printed tickets not work at the door of my event. They were fraudulent and I witnessed other patrons sitting in the seats I supposedly had purchased during the show. Fortunately, I was able to still see the show because I was able to buy another set of seats and shell out more money. It is nearly impossible to get a human person to help with this situation on
the app and definitely not in real time for the event. I had to hunt down the phone number to call as it is not easily accessible on the app. The agent on the line is clearly following a script. Then, they have taken 3 weeks to investigate and refuse to refund my cash as promised by Buyers Protection. They even tried to blame me for not presenting the right tickets. I do NOT recommend using this platform as they cannot offer any assistance with fraudulent sellers. I am still out over $600 without resolution from their “internal team”. DONT USE THIS APPDo not use this app. I purchased tickets to the Yankees versus Angels on Tuesday May 28. I arrived at the stadium. Everything was fine. My tickets were available in the SeatGeek gap. The following day on May 29, I purchased tickets to the second game in the series when I arrived at the stadium my tickets were not viewable in the app was already signed into my MLB account which I was prompted to, when I purchased my tickets the previous day. I was outside of Angel Stadium ticket gate for five or six innings trying to get in contact with somebody from SeatGeek until one of the managers for Angel Stadium came out and told me to download the Ballpark app when I download the Ballpark app. My tickets were only viewable in the Ballpark app. They were not viewable on the SeatGeek app. I paid $400 for three tickets and I missed more than half of the game when I brought this issue up to SeatGeek they did not and would not either offer a credit in the app or give me partial refund, they stated that it was user error and that I purchased the tickets late when I purchased the tickets at my home more than 2 1/2 hours before the game even started. If it wouldn’t have been for the Angel stadium manager, I would have never gotten into my game to watch the final three innings. Impossible customer serviceI’ve had a chain of unfortunate events with these guys and it’s extremely hard to actually get ahold of someone to address your problems. They force you to talk to a bot for a bit before you can message (not speak) to someone who works there. They don’t keep record of any of your past issues so you have to repeat the entire scenario and go through the same troubleshooting process every time instead of them understanding you’ve been over it with them already. This was common for me since one day their representative kept having connection issues and kept getting kicked from the chat. I had to re-explain to three different people just for them to not be able to help. They also will send you their number to call if you bother them enough but it’s an old number that tells you when you call that it’s their old number and refers you back to their app/website to chat. They pretty much do all they can to discourage you from contacting them since that means they have to take responsibility for their lack of customer service. As soon as I finally had my third issue resolved and was able to collect my tickets only a few days before the game, I deleted my account for good. I purchased tickets for a Yankees game, 10 weeks in advance. The tickets were not delivered. I clicked to “accept” the tickets, but was told the tickets were be delivered within 1 week of the game. Later, during that 1 week window I tried multiple times to download the tickets, each time receiving an “error message”, saying “check back later”. 24 hours before the game, I got increasingly nervous and reached out to customer support. It was extremely hard to get ahold of them, but finally connected with someone over chat. The person was quite unresponsive and unhelpful. The person ultimately said she would reach out to the seller to “resend the link”, and promised to call me once accomplished. The next day, still not having heard from the service rep, I contacted them again. They tersely said that because I clicked to accept the tickets 9 weeks ago, they assumed I had them and thus they would help no more. Incensed, I retorted that I still did not have the tickets (for a game starting in a few hours). They refused to help! So the gladly took my money for the tickets, but then did not actually delivery the tickets. I spent nearly 3 HOURS trying to get their help, longer than the actual event likely was. Misleading policies, horrible customer serviceDO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM SEATGEEK. I bought tickets for an event that was rescheduled for a day earlier due to COVID, it was switched to an outdoor venue. I couldn’t attend the new date, and assumed I would get refunded because I had gotten a credit right away in 2020. Nope, found out I don’t even technically own my tickets yet, and I shouldn’t expect to receive them via email until 24-48 hours before the event. The only way to get my money back is to resell them on their marketplace, which I can’t do until I get them emailed to me… 24-48 hours before the event. Absolutely ridiculous. As soon as my event was rescheduled, I tried contacting customer service, but there is absolutely no phone number to call anywhere. I had to send them an email, then got an auto response that they are receiving a high volume of emails and will respond ASAP. Over a week later, I received ANOTHER auto-response that they are busy. I have yet to be in contact with somebody about what happens if I can’t sell the tickets I haven’t even gotten yet, and the show is in three days. Never got tickets that were purchasedI purchased tickets to a show at The Grand ole Opry, (which was a bucket list item)through seat geek. Paid $82 in extra fees. I received a confirmation email after purchasing the tickets and was informed that I would get the tickets via email when they were released by the seller. Went to support page the day before the show because I hadn’t received any tickets yet. Was told they still could be released the day of the event. Waited until 9am on show day. Still no tickets. Talked with chat support and was told that the seller had released the tickets to me but since I never got them in an email, he would notify seller and I would hear back “in a few hours”. Still no email and no tickets. Finally after a phone call to support, I was told the tickets were either in my ticketmaster account or AXS account, which I was never told. I finally found the tickets, but was never able to get them on my phone. 3 hours before the event, I still had no tickets to show at the door. I finally talked to a support person from AXS, who told me the venue should be able to see that I purchased the tickets. DO NOT USE SEATGEEKI typically never leave reviews, but it has now been 6 hours and Seat Geek has proven either unwilling or straight up incapable of solving the issues that THEIR employees have no caused me. I purchased two sets of tickets from them. The first one I was going to be unable to use so I decided to list them on their marketplace seeing that they don’t offer refunds unless In extraordinary circumstances. A few weeks pass and the ticket hasn’t sold yet. Nothing really weird, but I decide to check the market place and see that my ticket ISNT EVEN LISTED. Fine so I contact customer service to see what’s going on. Then they tell me that the resale option has been turned off for this event WITHOUT ALERTING ANYONE. Huge red flag and then they tell me that I have to figure out how to sell the ticket myself. Then I mention that’s not ok and that since I wasn’t alerted to any of this I should be entitled to a refund. They oblige, but then issue a refund to the WRONG TICKET event though I specifically mentioned which one I wanted for sale and there is literally no way they are unable to check which ticket I had put up for sale. I contact them again and request that they refund the appropriate ticket and return the one that they incorrectly took from me. They then acknowledge that they have HUGELY SCREWED UP and tell me there’s nothing they can do on their end and now I have to make do. Now cure that past SIX HOURS that I have been calling them and emailing them and they keep telling me they will resolve the issue and promptly ghosting me. Do yourself a favor and read the reviewsWhen a concert came around that my daughter wanted to go to, I jumped on buying tickets bc I didn’t want them to sell out. I found just a few seats available, and they were expensive ($150ea) but I figured it was because they were about to sell out. Little did I know, I was buying a promise to get tickets once they were ACTUALLY on sale. Once they were on sale officially, I was able to buy better seats on ticketmaster for $50 each. I couldn’t get my money back from SeatGeek (I tried about an hour after buying them and realizing they weren’t “real” tickets yet) so I had to repost them for sale, but now they were worth way less and I got back a fraction of what I spent, and had to wait for almost three months to sell them.
I am giving this app and website a low rating because they do not make it clear that you are buying tickets that don’t exist yet, and I have to suspect this is on purpose. The app itself seems decent, but I feel I was conned into buying tickets that weren’t on-sale yet. At minimum, the tickets should say pre-sale. I am not sure how the app appears to have a four star review when you look at the actual reviews you’ll see almost every single one is one star. DONT USE SEATGEEK!!!!!! You will regretThis company is garbage and their customer service is a joke. If you have a problem with your order and use the chat feature on the app you talk to someone relatively fast. If they can’t help you right then they say they will email you once they resolved the problem, you probably won’t get that email and will have to contact them again. If you try to call them, you will wait about 25 minutes before talking to someone. If the problem is not resolved in that phone call they say they will email you when they resolved it, which means you will have to contact them again. If they are responsible for you missing your event and you want a refund they say they will put in the request and email you when it’s done. Over a three week span of you contacting SeatGeek several times you finally get an email saying that they will give free tickets to another event. Now, if it was a sporting event it might be aceptable. However, for a concert it’s an insult. How do you refund a once and a lifetime thing? After refusing the tickets you might get a refund three days later.

Don’t be dumbI recently bought tickets to a Hozier concert after Ticketmaster (the verified seller) sold out as I desperately wanted to go. I kept seeing things about tickets being non-transferable and I had no idea what that meant. I assumed it would be fine since SeatGeek gave no warnings on that issue. However, I keep seeing things online through research that my tickets would not work. The venue itself would tell me my tickets would not work while SeatGeek customer service told me it would. I believed that SeatGeek could be lying due to wanting to maintain face or something. However, I could not risk the long drive for my tickets to not work as I would have been devastated. I did not go to the concert after reading many sources online (including the venue) that my tickets would not work. SeatGeek offers a return for credits; however, they said I would only be able to get it if I tried 72 hours before the concert date. They did not offer a refund but said I could sell my tickets. Miserable Customer ExperienceWhat a truly terrible experience I had to go through these previous 5 days. I bought tickets tickets to an event a few days ago and waited a day or two to follow up to understand where my tickets could be. Usually throughout most ticket exchanges I receive the ticket within 24 hours. I ended up speaking with just about 5 customer support reps where each time they let me know the issue had been “escalated”; which in reality meant they would contact the seller. The seller did not respond until today, and I was then notified there was a “Barcode glitch” with the system. “ and customer support then informed me that the seller wanted to send me the tickets through email outside of the application to which I said no for authentication reasons. Terrible experience. Never using the app again.My husband and I purchased tickets to a soccer game and did not received the tickets. We waited as long as possible before the game start time, hoping we’d still receive them. Called customer service and entered their chat and had to wait over 50 mins before being helped. Then they made us wait while they tried to contact the seller via email (because that’s efficient) then phone. Then, even though the seller had still not sent the tickets, we had to wait until past the start of the event before they would refund us the ticket purchase. But even more annoyingly, they made us purchase new tickets through SeatGeek first in order to get the refund. Had we just received our money right away we could have purchased tickets at the ticket office and gotten into the game immediately, but I had to download the app (since my husband was using his for the chat that we could not exit the screen) buy new tickets, take a screen shot of the new tickets to send to them as proof, and then wait for the tickets to transfers on Ticketmaster. This process took another 30-45 mins. Then we could not access the new tickets in the app and had to go to the ticket office to print it out. By they time we got into the game it was the already halftime (in a 90min game!). This ruined our whole experience. I understand that it is the sellers fault for not transferring the tickets and the customer service agent was helpful, however SeatGeek should have a better system in place to avoid this kind of situation, like making sure the seller transfers the tickets 24hrs before the event, send them reminders, etc. We will never use SeatGeek to purchase tickets for an event again. Go to TicketmasterI’ve had the run-round from SeatGeek going on for about a year now. Originally bought tickets to see Motley Crue and bought tickets for all my friends through the app. Show got cancelled and SeatGeek gave me a credit back. Couldn’t do a refund. This was frustrating at first, but there was still another show we were interested in seeing. I went to buy the tickets through the email saying my credit had been applied and as long as I was using the same email address the credit would be applied. The credit was never applied. I called customer service and spoke to a manager who informed me there was nothing they could do, except buy tickets to another event and try to sell them. Terrible customer service. Anyways, finally get around to another show I want to see, Falling in Reverse, bought as many tickets as I could fit in my credit because of you don’t spend as much as they credit you back, the rest goes to SeatGeek. I read that MLB has a policy of not releasing tickets 48 hours before the event. The trip was out of town and my family and I arrived the night before and still no tickets? Joke of a company STAY AWAY!I wrote a review a couple days ago about how crappy the services I received from seat geek were. They responded to my initial review denying any kind of responsibility for not getting my tickets in a timely manner. They claim that they fulfilled the order and still got me my ticket before the game even if it was 10 hours before kickoff. What about all the travel plans I had? I had to cancel my flight and hotel because there was no guarantee I would receive these tickets. The fact that they think receiving tickets 10 hours before kickoff is acceptable is quite laughable. To have the audacity to respond to my review in the way they did shows that they have absolutely zero accountability. They don’t care about us, they just care about lining their own pockets. Don’t waste your time/moneyI’m not one who usually writes bad reviews, but this one felt warranted. I go to quite a few concerts and have used many different apps for purchasing tickets. I bought tickets from SeatGeek to a concert back in Feb. 2020. Covid happened of course and the concert was postponed. I didn’t get any updates from SeatGeek or from the venue, but I followed updates on social media. A year and a half later with a venue change and one of the bands backing out and still not a single update from Seat Geek. Then, I saw a post from one of the bands on Instagram saying they would be at my venue in 7 days on a day I couldn’t make it. I was very confused because my SeatGeek tickets still said postponed/TBD and no one contacted me. So I emailed them for a refund with no reply. Then 3 days before the event I got a hold of them after waiting for an hour on the phone. The first person was no help and said well I can’t do anything for you because the venue never called to update us on the tour and said I was welcome to sell my tickets. Who wants to buy tickets from someone when the tickets say TBD?? So I tried someone else after waiting on hold again for an hour. She was more helpful because she called the help desk to try to figure out why my tickets weren’t reflecting the rescheduled date. She said it would be taken care of the following business day, but that I still can’t get a refund because the event is still happening. So I have two days to sell these tickets that still say TBD on them when 1. They never gave me a single update so I didn’t have time to clear my schedule and 2. Worst Customer Service EverI purchased some tickets for a Dodgers game. After the transaction was completed, I was notified that they where for the Vaccinated section. This was NEVER stated at any point on the initial listing. I could not use them since some members of my party where not fully vaccinated yet. Then when I tried to resell, the app would not allow me to claim them…so now I was stuck with useless tickets I purchased under false pretenses. I had to buy a whole new additional set of tickets to go see the game. I called them hoping they could reimburse me for the false bill of sale but instead I was meet with the absolute worst treatment from their customer service department. I spent hours waiting on the call line, lots of promises and then no return calls or follow up emails. I even provided screen caps as examples of their apps failure, but it fell on deaf ears. Eventually I got to a “supervisor” who was also un helpful and incredibly dismissive. They essentially told me I was lying. I found the whole experience to be incredibly unprofessional and infuriating. To sum it up they don’t notify you about COVID protocols, the app is trash and the customer service is absolute garbage. Terrible way to get ticketsSeatgeek double sold my tickets. *GRANTED* I purchased my tickets two days before the event, i received an email telling me my tickets were confirmed and would be fulfilled 24-48 hours before the show. Come 7PM, (when the event began)I’m outside the venue, with no tickets, listening to the opening acts and unable to enter. Seatgeek informed me, ONLY AFTER i contacted support, that they couldn’t fulfill my tickets. At this point it’s 30 minutes after the show started. They told me they could replace my tickets with other CHEAPER tickets but wouldn’t refund the difference of the tickets, the difference being around 100ish bucks. On top of that, i had friends with tickets near mine, and had to sit across the entire venue. Also, the tickets offered as replacement were twice as
far from the stage as i had ordered. I was told that i could pick tickets worth %100 of my original price but when i asked for tickets that cost 30 bucks more and WERE NOT SOLD 45 MINUTES AFTER THE SHOW STARTED, I was told no. Horrible Customer ServiceDidn’t receive my tickets until after the event had started, and that’s after being on the phone with customer service for almost an hour before the event. Seat Geek Rep couldn’t get a hold of the seller that was supposed to send me the tickets, so instead he kept insisting that I already had the tickets and that I was trying to rip them off. After sending screenshots of my account information and tickets page, which he insisted I do to prove I wasn’t lying, and being placed on hold numerous times, I finally received my tickets after I demanded a refund because the event had already started. When I asked for a refund it was denied because they falsely claim I had the tickets all along. I made every attempt on my part to prove I didn’t have the tickets, and followed their troubleshooting instructions carefully in hopes of having my tickets appear; it wasn’t until I asked for a refund that the tickets magically appeared on my app. Seat Geek broke the number one rule as a middle man in the service they manage, TRUST. They do not try to work with you.Spoke to seatgeek staff about a previous event asked for a refund. I was given credit. I desired to just get the $$ back. After communication, they told me to buy any ticket. I bought a ticket, saw now communication on the app that said the ticket was non-refundable and nothing on the screen popped up to say anything. I then asked for a refund. I was told that the new ticket was non-refundable and was not able to get a refund. Spent over $1000 to get in store credit for originally buying two tickets and then working with someone to get a refund only to give it away to a company that makes more than enough money. This is nothing to them while it’s a lot to us. Yet, at the end of the day, they keep the money. Is it fair? No. This is the seatgeek that is on the market. Will they change? No. Will they be performative? Most likely will leave a comment to say something but no action will come from this, unless they want to be like every other company with a “decent footing” and try to silence the people that leave a solid negative word about them and their business practice.
At the end of the day, I spent 10 different times attempting to get a refund afterwards and explaining the situation, showing proof that there was not any wording mentioning the ticket was non-refundable or else I would have not purchased. Now, I’m forced to leave and not do business with seat geek. I will be taking a few people with me. If you ever see this seat geek, just know losses will be coming, whether they are “significant” to your business or not, they are coming.

They be lyingHello, just wanted to say I never write reviews and everything I am saying is exactly how it happened. I bought tickets on here for my birthday to watch The Weeknd at sofi. My seats view was blocked by a giant red moon and I could not see the stage at all and the seats I bought were not specified as obstructed like many were that I did not purchase because of this. I talked to support night of and they said they were working on it right away and told me to hold on. I told them a new seat would be fine or if I could know that they will not be able to do this so I can buy a new seat and get a refund for this one with the buyer garuntee. I never heard back that day or the next, only timer I EVER heard anything was when I would contact them. They said they were going to look into the case and reach out which they never did. I would reach out through their website chat. Eventually they told me that the event did not consider the venue did not do refunds for the seat in that area. But the garuntee about the warning of obstructed view is from seat geek not the venue and seats around me literally next to me were marked as such. I called and reached someone who seemed very nice and said they would call back after retrying to get approved for a refund. 3 weeks later I called and they said they had no record of any such effort and would do such this time and would call back. It has now been 5 months plus with no such call. This was the worst and most useless support I have ever seen. Ugh!! What a cluster!If you want to spend half a day trying to get your tickets, then this is the app for you. So I bought San Jose Sharks tickets in advance for a Christmas present for my fiancé, he loves the sharks and I’ve never been to a hockey game. So I purchased the tickets in October in order to secure a good seating area and also secure lodging for the night far in advance since hotels are cheaper 2 months out. I was looking for good prices, that’s all you’ll get at seat geek. Getting my tickets has been a nightmare. First I had to wait a day to get the email telling me my tickets will be given to me through a third party app. Ok.. so next day I get the email with the link to my tickets through Ticketmaster. The link won’t work on my phone or my computer and copying it into the web browser also did not work. So I emailed them and they sent me another link, I could not simply click on the link, I had to copy and paste into web browser but at least it worked this time. I see my tickets but I cannot print them through the website. So I email Ticketmaster and ask how do I print my tickets. I’m told I can only access my tickets through the Sharks app or the account manager app for Ticketmaster. Well Ticketmaster does not have an account manger app. So I download the Ticketmaster app to which I also cannot access my tickets since they are not Ticketmaster tickets. I send Ticketmaster another email telling them I cannot access my tickets through their app. So plan B, downloaded the Sharks app and boom there’s my tickets, barcode and all ready to go for December. Seriously the run around has me extremely frustrated and angry. Horrible Customer ServiceI recently had a disappointing experience with Seat Geek that left me feeling frustrated and cheated. Although they claim to protect customers, my experience felt like nothing more than smoke and mirrors. I intended to purchase tickets for a 6:30 PM show, but after selecting three seats, the site switched my order to the 3:30 PM performance without me noticing.
When I arrived at the performing arts center, I was shocked to find my tickets were for the earlier show. Unfortunately, the Arts Center staff couldn’t assist me since Seat Geek is not authorized to sell their tickets. This left me in a tough spot, especially with my 5-year-old and 3-year-old eagerly anticipating the event. To salvage the situation, I had to purchase additional seats at the door, which set me back over $400.
After a lengthy wait of more than four hours for support, Seat Geek ultimately informed me that they would not be able to help. This experience has left a sour taste, and I have no intention of using Seat Geek again. It’s disheartening to see such a lack of accountability and support for customers. We thought seat geek was a reliable company to buy tickets from and decided to purchase tickets from you guys. After waiting 1.5 hours on hold for customer service the man told me that my tickets had been sold to someone else and that you guys could not help me get new tickets. Because my family chose to trust seat geek we were not able to attend the concert and we are so disappointed and heartbroken that this surprise gift did not work out. Paid for a ticket I didn’t receiveLet me start this off by saying I’m extremely tech savvy so it wasn’t an issue on my part. Seat geek screwed me over! I bought a ticket in December 2023 to see a show in June 2024. I thought it was weird seat geek wouldn’t send me my tickets almost immediately, but they sent me an email saying due to security reasons the amphitheater wouldn’t allow us to have tickets until closer to the concert date. I had a confirmation number and receipt though so I was satisfied… little did I know that they would never send me my tickets. I made a ticket master and AXS account hoping my tickets would have transferred to there but it never did. Seat geek did give me a refund, but that doesn’t nearly cover my travel and hotel expenses. Most disappointing experience I’ve had with any company, EVER. <3
So buy from seat geek if you want to drive all the way to a concert with no tickets available and listen to the music from outside of the venue. This company doesn’t care about youI’ve contacted this company at least 5 times about at least sending me the tickets I’ve already purchased so that I can attempt to sell them and get back even just some of the money I spent on these expensive tickets. I’m not even asking for a refund. I’m asking for the tickets that I PAID for. They refuse to send me the tickets claiming that their hands are tied until the concert nears and the seller chooses to send the tickets. Worse than Ticketmaster?SeatGeek appears to work fine at first, but don’t expect any support if their system malfunctions. The only support option is a live chat, no phone support, and the agents are not equipped to deal with your problems. Even after being unable to access our tickets through a browser, the app, a desktop and both Apple and Google wallets, SeatGeek insisted there were no issues with their system. After 3 hours of chat the day of our event, SeatGeek never resolved the issue and never allowed a refund. We are now after our scheduled event, and we are still unable to access our tickets through the system (though SeatGeek now acknowledges that their system experienced an error). If you need help, contact the venue ticket office as soon as possible. SeatGeek will push your problem off as long as possible, will not respond in the time frames they give you, and will not offer adequate compensation. A $10 promo coupon on a future order is the “best” compensation possible for 3 hours of lost time without any resolution provided by SeatGeek. Horrible company policiesI had back to back terrible experiences with this company. First of all, I had purchased tickets to a concert, drove 3 hours to the concert and found out it was canceled. SeatGeek never informed me of the cancellation. I did get a refund for this one but I was very angry that they have no system in place to notify you if the event is canceled. Not even 2 weeks later I had tickets to another concert. This time I called the venue to make sure it was still on, just because I had just gone through that experience. Sure enough it had been rescheduled. I asked SeatGeek for a refund and was denied because the tickets were still valid for the rescheduled date. I am unable to attend the event on the rescheduled date. But I’m still not getting a refund. Furthermore I’m not able to sell my tickets on SeatGeek because they’re mobile tickets and they will only let you sell tickets in pdf form. I don’t really understand that policy, but what it boils down to is I’m responsible for selling them on my own as SeatGeek offered literally no help. This is a very shady company. Beware if your event is rescheduledI bought tickets through SeatGeek for a concert originally scheduled in July. A few days prior to the concert it was postponed until September (the artist got Covid). Anticipating that there would be a problem with my tickets (which were dated for July), I spent hours on chat with a SeatGeek rep who told me the tickets for the original date would be honored. I knew from the venue that new tickets with the rescheduled date were being sent out by email but I had no way to get one of those since the seller was a faceless person for whom I had no contact information. Of course when I showed up at the venue they said “You scalped these tickets” and they refused to honor them. Even when I showed them the long text thread from SeatGeek saying the tickets would be valid. They didn’t care. Trying to get a refund from SeatGeek and so far all I have gotten is an email saying they are “looking into the problem”. Don’t buy from this company. They will leave you “high and dry” if your concert is postponed.

Awful, awful customer serviceMy mom bought hockey tickets as a surprise birthday gift for my dad so he and I could go to a hockey game. The game ended up getting cancelled due to the coronavirus ): but SeatGeek sent an email saying the refunds would be distributed in about 2 weeks of when the season was cancelled...
A few weeks later, I get an email saying we get a “credit” refund that only lasts for 12 months. If I would like to change this refund method I have SEVEN DAYS to contact customer service. I have contacted costumer service in every possible way. They don’t have a phone number, they have taken down their live chat, I have emailed, sent direct messages on social media, yet I still have not received a reply.. the worst costumer service I have ever seen. I don’t know how you can run a business this poorly.

UnreliableBought my tickets 6 months in advance, and a week before the event i got an email stating my tickets were recalled. I immediately contacted SeatGeek and they said they needed to contact the seller. I had to call every single day to get any information and they would say the same thing word for word “ we’re escalating the situation, rest assured we will call you back tomorrow”. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I just purchased eight tickets to a Rangers baseball game that were advertised with food and beverage included. After I purchased the tickets that perk disappeared. I called and email seatgeeks and sent them screenshots of the tickets showing the food and beverage was included. They refused to honor the tickets or upgrade us tickets that did have food and beverage included. The only thing they offered was a $50 credit at first which I laughed at due to the fact that would equal $6.25 per person and that was their resolution to all you can eat food and beverage. Their second resolution was trying to buy our seats back from us. The problem with this was the only seats that still available for less money were in a worse section and we had already purchased a limo and people had taken Work to go to the game so that wasn’t exactly a wash for us.

SEATGEEK still owes me over $300Do yourself a favor and don’t download, use, think about using this app. This company is terrible. They refunded my tickets WITHOUT telling me and day of the game I was ticketless. The refund was just a store credit, I didn’t get the money back to my card (if I did this whole thing wouldn’t have been a problem). When you get refunded with SeatGeek they just issue you a store credit, and they think they are being nice by giving you an extra 10% on top of what you paid. However you can only use that store credit in one transaction. Which for our situation we needed to do two (COVID times you can’t by more than 4 tickets at once). I tried reaching out to resolve my issue but it is IMPOSSIBLE to talk to anyone there, you’ll be on hold for hours before you talk to anyone. After paying, I found out that the seat information shown on the website/app was misleading. My ticket says “Section Cat 1, Row GA,” but SeatGeek still cannot tell me what real seat, row, or physical area this means.
They called me and repeated the same answer from their email: no refund, no clear seat location, and my actual seat may only be known 1–2 days before the match.
They basically made it sound like it was my problem because I bought early. So customers are expected not to trust what SeatGeek shows at the time of purchase?

Openly Supporting ScamsThey supported a scam artist selling fake tickets. After several rounds confirming that the tickets were authentic, I made the appropriate travel plans, only for them to assist in his rug pull of the tickets minutes before the event. No refund either 1500 US wasted on 7 non existent tickets. I’ve never had this issue with other vendors. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
