Great app but is missing some periodsHi, This is one of the greatest Earth History apps I have ever used, but it could use some more periods. I would love for it to go further back in time to the Archean or Hadean eons. A couple of the Phanerozoic also don’t get the spotlight and I wish I could see stuff in between certain periods. Good start need tweaksThis review is only for the Apple TV version of the app. The space mystic music is too loud and competes with the voice over when you click play on a certain item. You turn up the volume to hear the voice tell you about the item but the music raises with it (obviously) and drowns out the voice..TeewuaneVersion: 1.1.1

Fun ToolDino Walk is great if you want to scrape the surface when it comes to dinosaur knowledge. I'm very impressed with how this app works: you're shown a globe and can browse through eras and see the geographic changes as well as which animals evolved when. This said, Dino Walk is lacking lots of information. I tried searching its index for several varieties of dinosaur, to no avail (Basilosaurus, Megalodon, Estemmenosuchus, etc.) A feature I really want to see implemented is an option to mark species/locations as "favorites." I was surprised this wasn't already part of the app. Also, there's no option to view the genus and Latin name. Add these changes, and I'll be be very happy..PneshatiVersion: 1.0.1

Great to show how the Earth has changed over time!This app is precisely what I was looking for to show my daughter how the Earth has geologically changed over time. In fact, the only reason it's not five stars is that it uses the scientifically obsolete concept of "continental drift" (rather than plate tectonics) as part of the title. Three other notes: - When photos are on, the automatic scaling makes it difficult to see the land. Consider turning off the genie effect. - A feature I would love is the ability to put a pin on a piece of land (e.g. our home) in one time period and track it's motion across time. - I understand the frustration of other reviewers who expected more dinosaur stuff. This app is great for what I wanted, but not so much for them. Consider renaming it "Earth Walk" or "Geo Walk" or something like that. I'm sure that "Dino Walk" sells more unit, but the company's brand has grown trusted by folks and this product name strains that trust for people who really want dinosaur stuff..IanmmcVersion: 1.0.2

However, it needs to be updated with info on the time periods as well; a size comparison chart with a human next to the animals would be nice, or just silhouetted against the photos of the Dinos. DisappointedThis could have been such a fantastic app, and I am really quite disappointed that it didn't live up to it's potential. The premise is very cool, and he graphics are amazing. In fact, the graphics are the only reason I gave 2 stars. I could have dealt with there being fewer animals than anticipated, or the frustration of not being able to click on some of the animals. But I can't get past the fact that the descriptions are sadly lacking and even sometimes embarrassing to read (i.e. instead of giving actual measurements it says, "47ft (example) long and some pounds." Some pounds? I didn't know 'some' was an official measurement).The first time I read such a description I winced but figured it was a one time oversight. Unfortunately that was quickly proven untrue, and also not the only mistake made several times throughout the descriptions I read. I started at the beginning of time, and made it through only 3 'periods' before I had to delete the app. And I made it through those time periods and animals in only 10 minutes, which shows the amount of detail offered in the app. All in all, a disappointing end to an exciting download that I thought would fulfill my desire for a fun, informative app that will hold the interest of my kids. Has potential but not there yetI like the continental drift aspect, but I'm not sure what they are going for with placing species. During some periods, some species of that period are mixed in with contemporary species or species are displayed that are already extinct (e.g.: there were not even close ancestors of the thresher shark during the Silurian period); during the first epoch of the age of mammals (the Paleocene) there are still dinosaurs like the hypselosaurus (who should have been by that time wiped out by Mr. Asteroid) running around with contemporary not-yet-evolved reptile species (and yes there are a few but not enough accurate species of the time). I think there may have been a little of a rush releasing this app as on the pay-for category. I find myself spending time figuring out whether species are aligned with that period or of our time (though a photo rather than an illustration is a good hint that the species didn't exist in its present form 400 million years ago). I'm guessing the authors put these inaccuracies in there as place holders to keep things interesting while they more thoroughly gather research. A big update is in order! I will not seek a refund hoping they will quickly bring this good concept into a more accurate and full potential. I would consider this app in early beta..CirruskingVersion: 1.1.0
