MEGA MAN X DiVE Offline App Comments & Reviews

MEGA MAN X DiVE Offline Positive Reviews

Lack of cloud saves hurtFirst of all, I’d like to commend Capcom for converting an end-of-service gacha into a premium title. There are no micro transactions or in-app purchases and everything in the game is grindable. For fans of Megaman, this game is a treat! There are dozens(100+ I think) characters to unlock each with their own skill sets. Dozens more weapons to mix and match to fully customize your toon to your playstyle. The only thing really holding this back is the lack of cloud saves. This is a game where collecting and unlocking things is the main goal and it hurts knowing you can’t play between devices or transfer that data to a new device when you inevitably have to replace your current one..Version: 1.0

An Example to the IndustryThis is how mobile games used to be (and should be again). No MTX, no constant interstitial ads… just buy and play. Period, end of sentence. And more than that, this game is a fantastic example of how developers can support always-online games that are reaching EOL. Beyond the (insane) bang-for-your-buck that you get with this game in terms of the depth of playable content, it’s also a great “theme park” of sorts for longtime MegaMan fans. There’s characters from every era of the MegaMan franchise from the classic NES games all the way to ZX and Star Force. The weapons are mostly new-ish, and perhaps that’s what I would have liked to see more of - more weapons making a return from the original games. And while you *do* see a few like the Storm Tornado and the Ray Splasher implemented as weapon modifiers and once-per-stage skills, there’s plenty of room for improvement. The combat is fun and fluid, the movement is good, and the litany of different character and gear combinations makes for what’s already been hours upon hours of fun for me. It’s a great game in its own right and doubly so if you’re already a fan of the MegaMan franchise. Well worth every penny..Version: 1.0

A celebration of all things MegamanDefinitely a satisfied long term purchase. I don’t know for sure but I hope they can add everything that the online version had and have the event stuff added in. Otherwise I feel like we’re missing out on things we’ll never see again like the collab events with Street Fighter and Monster Hunter. This game is definitely better with a controller. Nowadays, it’s easy to setup. What would make this a 5 star review for me would be the addition of the event characters and weapons..Version: 1.00.01

My data got messed upI've been grinding on this game and my data changed when I tried to go back.Version: 1.0

Lets you feel like a whale in a mobile gameThis is a great game, i do think a controller make it better but a little hard to get it to work. This game makes you feel like a person that spends hundreds of dollars on a online game and can do anything they want for just $30 If you are a fan of Mega Man X the story is not a continuation from X8 but if we ever get a X9 some of the story might make it’s way into the game..Version: 1.0

Happy to have.Only problem I currently notice is they took out quite a few cool characters, weapons and collabs. Also keeping some PvP features for end game content would’ve been nice.. I still love MegaMan and this is the closest I can get to a modern experience with plenty character options!! <3 also love mobile with a backbone controller! <3.Version: 1.00.01

Really good so farThere’s a def difference between online n offline. It’s still very fun and there are different ways to build yourself now. You can’t buy anything to get a character leveled up faster, at the same theres no real rush to. So far, it has earned its five star..Version: 1.0

A model for future gacha games to follow but no cloud savesI’ve been having a lot of fun with the game so far but it is missing cloud saves. Also there’s no controller support..Version: 1.0

Great game!Wish more companies released like this. It’s a genuine game (and priced accordingly). Shock to some I’m sure, but a former gotcha game converted to not is something I hope more companies will do in the future..Version: 1.0

Very good game would recommend(I wish they did put in more mega man zx characters before the servers went down).Version: 1.00.01

Almost 5 starsPlease, please, please, bring back the PvP online mode. This game is almost perfect except for the fact they got rid of online PvP. Great game in all aspects but that one..Version: 1.00.01

They removed predatory monetizationI love these types of games and they made it so that there aren’t any more gacha monetization. More companies should do this..Version: 1.0

Controller support please.I have a backbone controller for iPhone and I really wish the game gets updated to support Backbone.Version: 1.00.01

Best mobile Megaman mobile gameReally happy with this mobile game! No in app purchases either. It’s dope..Version: 1.0

Mega Man X Dive OfflineI beat the game. The game is good. I hope more megaman games are like this. The power level system was good. Good job!.Version: 1.0

Great butI would like to request backbone or game pase support like the steam version.Version: 1.00.01

Great gameI’m glad CAPCOM to the steps to make this game. Any chance you guys can add controller support?.Version: 1.0

Controller supportI’m loving the game devs can you please add controller support please.Version: 1.00.01

As a long time MegaMan fan, it’s okay. It’s not as good as a mainline game, but it’s okay. Just makes me wish I was actually playing a Megaman X or Megaman Zero game. Or ZX..Version: 1.00.01

Controller MappingI normally don’t write reviews, but I also thought this game didn’t support any external controllers. It does. If you go into settings > game > control then select the action (for example, let’s use jump) once you select it click on the button that says “current gamepad mapping main” then press the button on the actual controller you’d like jump to be. Not sure why the game doesn’t tell you this, but it definitely works. There is also a YouTube video showing this too. Hope this helps..Version: 1.0

CONTROLLER SUPPORT WORKS here is howI see alot of reviews saying that there is no controller support on the ios version but there is. I am able to play with my Xbox controller and I imagine other bluetooth controllers will work. Its just a little confusing to set up with no instructions so here is how to do it. You need to go into control options in-game, tap the on screen button (like jump), tap "current gamepad" (its under the button size slider) then push whatever button on your controller you want it assigned too. You can set the d-pad this way too but you need to do every direction, also make sure to save. There is a video on youtube of someone showing how if your confused. Other than that weirdness this game is great. I have it on both ios and Steam and enjoy playing both. Just wish there was cross save between devices like others have said..Version: 1.0

Great Offline version of X DiveThis is essentially what it says in the title: Mega Man X DiVE with all the Gacha/Pay-2-Win elements stripped out. Characters are rebalanced to account for the lack of PvP, and progression overall is made much more friendly in terms of grinding. All the characters (minus collab/crossover characters) are available to unlock through playing the game casually, and overall it’s a pretty decent package, though the cost is not cheap. $40+ is a HEAVY asking price, and a lot of people understandably may not be willing to hop in at that price. If you can get it on sale, I’d say it’s worth it, especially if you enjoyed the F2P version, as this essentially cuts out the “freemium” elements present in the latter for a more relaxed experience overall. P.S: Controller support would be nice to have in the future..Version: 1.00.01
