I like that the app is free today, but what could possibly make an app like this 1.59GB?

Fun app filled with handwriting activities matching games, and some fun creative activities also. Love play doh and love this app!

A great app to teach kids the correct stroke order. The poems for each letter are very cute too.

Our classrooms use this and its always a hit.

My son received a gift card for Christmas and was very excited to download this app. He's at the phase where he has a strong interest in learning to write and this app capitalizes on this. He's really enjoyed it the last few days and I've had lots of fun watching him be excited about his success. I highly recommend it As an aside, I had some minor issues with the download process and the customer service team was very responsive and extremely helpful- the day after Christmas when I'm sure they had family things to attend to. That was appreciated as well.

Wasn't sure how play-doh could translate into 2-dimensions but this app does a great job engaging (and educating) my 3-year-old. Multiple games included, all cheered on by cute play-doh tubs come to life. Kids can build virtual play-doh letters and creations starting with each letter (i.e. an alligator for A) or create their own masterpieces. Easier to swap out colors (and no mess to clean) than in real life, also can be used as inspiration and pre-planning for 3-D molding. My son especially liked the letter matching game.

My toddler loves playing with Playdoh, but when he came down with a cold that left him too exhausted to get off the couch, I downloaded this app. It's so entertaining, and I love that this is feeding his interest in the ABCs. There's enough variety (multiple shades of his favorite color - blue! Different objects to make and squish!) that it can keep kids entertained for long stretches, and can work for young toddlers as well as those learning to read/write.

Both my kids love this app. My 2 year old loves the colors, the music and the animation. My 5 year old gets a real sense of achievement from writing his ABCs and creating his own Play Doh pictures. I love it because it keeps them amused for hours and they learn multiple skills while they play. Awesome app. Makes a great gift too!

Found myself playing on this for over an hour!!! Super creative and fun! The kids I babysit love it too and are begging their parents to buy it for them for when their "nanny" isn't around. Good price too. Lots of inventive visual effects!!! Interested to see what this company brings out next. --percy.

This is a great app! Both my kids are having fun and learning at the same time. Even my youngest (4 y.o.) can follow the instructions. I'm glad you can have multiple users and track their progress! Definitely recommended.

This app is perfect for me. I love everything about it. The only problem is, when you choose the letter you want to make or match, the U is red when it's supposed to be white. And can we have lowercase letters in the Create and Share, to?

This is a great app for little kids. It is wonderfully designed and combines a very exciting and practical user experience with high quality content. My little daughter loves it and I recommend it highly to any parent.

This is a really great app to take on the go. It has so much to do and our kids love the different activities and writing elements. The fun little play doh guys are also pretty funny.

This is great for letter recognition and early phonics. My daughter loves creating dough characters that she can squish! Lots of fun and educational too!

My daughter loves Play-Doh so I downloaded the game for her. She loves creating different animals and it teaches her colors and ABCs nicely. Really happy with it!

My kids are very hard to please but this app does the trick and more. Bright colors, fun songs, and all the letters of the alphabet. Playdoh, Playdoh, Playdoh we love you!!!

Ads led my kid straight to Reddit. Thankfully I was nearby and noticed it, but seriously? Kids apps should have ads for other kids apps, NOT a portal straight to the open internet! Deleted this app right away. Tracing and sound didn’t work half the time anyway.

I bought this app for my son because he love Play-Doh and ABC’s all of a sudden it’s full of ads on the bottom of the screen. He unsure how to avoid them and it has made for an unpleasant experience. Wish I could get my money back.

My baby girl loves this app and we bought it thinking it wood remove the ad’s, but the ad’s stayed. Other than the ad’s she enjoys it but the ad’s are confusing to her and interrupt her play because it’s distracting.

My 3 year old likes to play with it, but he gets very frustrated with the letter tracing. The app forces you to make letters in a single stroke, like you would in cursive writing. A much better approach would be to split the strokes into multiple strokes, like a line and then a half circle for a D. The letter writing also forces you to draw the letter in the same direction as the example, but if you miss the opening animation that shows the path, you can't complete it. Some visual cues on the screen would be in order. As an adult I couldn't get it to recognize my letter p, and I know how to write, thank you. Refining the letter writing would definitely make me rate this higher, but it's a huge problem right now.

I think the idea of this app is a great one - it teaches children the fundamentals of writing, spelling and other productive things; However, the execution is poor. The portion that teaches kids to "write" with dotted letters is so sensitive that unless the child draws exactly as it suggests and follows the dots perfectly, it tells them they're doing it wrong (and in a very loud and negative way, which actually discourages my child: "NO! That's not where you're supposed to start!") Maybe for older children it's good, but not so much for preschoolers just learning to write and building confidence.

The Details screen says this is a 243 megabyte app, however when installed on an iPad 1 it ballooned to 1.4 GIGAbytes and wouldn't install. I had to connect the iPad to iTunes on the computer and delete other content before it could be installed. If you have a basic i-device with only 16 gigabytes of storage be aware that this takes up more than 10% of the available storage.

My 4 year old was so excited for this game and even saved up her money to buy it. It was a complete dud. One portion of the game requires you to trace letters by connecting the dots of play doh. This thing was so finicky that it would never approve the trace - even after I did it. All we heard was "try again" ... Over and over. My daughter got so frustrated and no longer wanted to play it after a few minutes. A complete waste of $2.99!!

The developers need to find another method of getting content into the app without requiring users to download it all at once. Other than large games with high levels of graphic detail, there is almost no reason that any app should be 1.5GB in size. It just eats up people's space on their devices.

I can’t figure out on my iPad how to pay for the app so my daughter can access all the letters... The website for the app creator doesn’t seem to work either. Too bad because we enjoy this activity. It should be way more straightforward if you want my money!

Honestly, my kid loved this game. When this game updated, I didn’t know that you had pay for more letters, until my kid came up to me asking, “Mommy, what happened?” Then it showed that I ha TO BUY more letters. I loved this game at first, but now I’m not a big fan.

This is the second time upon downloading an update we have been unable to play this game. It's been over a month of downtime as was the last time. My four year old is very unhappy, as this was one of his favorite apps...when it works.

The size of this app alone makes it a bad experience. Why does an app have to be 1.59GB in size? I understand that children want everything all the time, but user experience is everything and that falls short.

The app is great and all, but to get more letters, it says to enter the birth year. I put it in and when I click enter, in doesn’t work. Could you please fix this.

Seems like a potentially good app, but since it doesn't open, even after restart/reinstall/etc., there's no way to tell. Don't spend your money until the crash is fixed. In the meantime...hey Playdoh folks, can I get a refund?

Junk app. Can't believe they actually made this. My daughter almost they the iPad through the window after 2 minutes. Not user friendly at all.

The letter tracing does not work as well as Writing Wizard by L'Escapadou, and it is almost as big as Barefoot World Atlas. Not worth it even for free, both in educational value and in space taken up.

My son loves playing on the app but it freezes often.

This app crashes every time it is installed just like everyone who bought it. Why isn't App Store taking it out? We want our money back

App won't open. Tried troubleshooting still,won't open. Can someone give me my money back or fix the app please :(
