Water Tracker WaterMinder® Positive Reviews

Apple watch dream!!I normally forget about drinking water or to engrossed in my work. I've tried apps for reminders but my phone does not always get my attention. I got an apple watch last week to replace my Fitbit last week and stumbled across this app in looking for fitness apps that give the best apple watch experience and I love it. I've had a streak of meeting and exceeding my 100 oz goal since I've gotten it. The watch app gives me the needed reminders and makes it easy to register immediately. Also, the fact that all drinks count, not just water makes this so much better. It's easier to hit my goal, so I feel better about it, have greater consistency, and am more conscious of how much of my liquid consumption is not water. Looking at you coffee! The design is great. The quick adds are the best. The only criticism are the models you use for your character. Greater variety here would be awesome. Could even make a game or of it by having customization where options are unlocked. The badges have my attention (I will get them all), and I'm curious of what I could chase as a mini game over I have them. Fun is in the name of the company, let's have a bit more with this app! Highly recommended!!.Version: 3.4.1

Only logs waterIf you just want to log water than this app is easy. However, it gives you the option to log any beverage but the glitch is it counts all beverages towards your water goal. It’s a “hydrate” total that includes soda, coffee, and even energy drinks as hydration and that is completely incorrect. I did not try alcohol but I suspect it would be included as was because the app doesn’t differentiate the kind of beverage logged in the correct categories. Obviously soda is not hydration and alcohol would be the opposite of hydration. So, the developers need to fix this glitch. The app Calory is by far more advanced and costs $15 a year for the complete premium subscription. You can log water and it only applies water to water; all other beverages are logged separate. It also bar scans your food so counting calories is so easy!!! Use the free version if all you want is a water logger. If this app was to develop into an app like Calory I would try it again because of the ease of use. But, currently it would have a long way to go to complete with Calory. So, if you just want to log water only and nothing else then it’s a great app and very easy to use..Version: 4.1.7

One of Best AppsI got this app before but somewhere along I stopped tracking my water intake daily because I love to drink water and I was working out every day and figured that I was drinking enough. Several weeks ago I decided to start tracking again as I would forget to drink water at times so went to look for an app. Forgetting that I had downloaded this one I tried others which did not do what I wanted then found this one that I had previously downloaded. This app does exactly what I need for it to do and syncs up with my Apple Watch seamlessly every time which makes it super easy to input. It has lots of options and is a great app that I now use several times daily and helps me drink more. Due to a back issue I have been laid up for the past three weeks and this app has helped and reminded me of my intake and I have stayed on track every day. Due to upcoming back surgery in a couple days and few weeks of recovery this will continue to keep me on track. I really like this app and it is one of the BEST apps I have ever used and would RECOMMEND it highly..Version: 4.4.3

Fix the Apple Watch complicationAn otherwise great app but for several months now they have acknowledged a problem. The iPhone App syncs with the Watch App but the complication on the Watch will not update unless you open the app on the Watch. Used to work in older versions but for the past several months this issue has persisted in spite of multiple “fixes” and “ upgrades” to other versions. Tech support has affirmed they are aware of the issue. Want to blame Apple but isn’t it their responsibility to make THEIR app work? No that doesn’t work. Did it in the past. Did it again now. Sent in ticket in the past. Response was that it is a known problem. However no solution. Your suggestion does not work and I contacted support back in November and they said (direct quote): “ this is a known issue on the iOS level and happens to other apps that use WidgetKit - new API that we added support for iOS 17. We have informed Apple of it as well, and the latest iOS 17.2 beta there is improvements in the complication refresh so seem it is being worked on Apple side. Our team is also debugging the issue and trying to find a solution “ Unfortunately I am now on iOS 17.3 and still not fixed.Version: 6.4.8

Nice but has problemsWidget does not work. Doesn’t stay updated as entries are made on other devices. True on iPhone and iPad. If you try to add an entry from a reminder on watch, it might work, and it might not. Sometimes it adds the entry correctly, sometimes it adds my top option, 8 oz water, even if I added another entry like 10 oz coffee. If I add an entry that way, I have to double check to make sure it added correctly. More times than not, I end up deleting the entry and adding it manually from the app on my watch. iPad app does not live update data. I have to open the app, force close it, and reopen before latest updates from other devices show up. Come on guys. I have lots of apps that share and merge cloud data from multiple devices. If they can get it right, so can you. From a single app perspective, if you only use the iPhone app to do all the activities (adding entries and viewing current hydration), it works satisfactorily...well, except for the widget. I’ve deleted the widget; it is just useless..Version: 4.2.5

Does what it’s supposed to do but I wish it was more dynamic.I can think of many things that can be done to make this app more dynamic and adaptable instead of just a simple app that acts as a log and sends you preset reminders. The most obvious one is to change your required daily intake based on your level of activity. iPhones and Apple Watches log your basic level of activity (distance walked, flights climbed, number of steps) and many people log their physical activity into the health app using different apps and activity trackers. Wouldn’t it be cool if the app accounted for that and upped your required water intake based on your level of activity each day? Other things the app can adapt for can be weight and body water % (I use a smart scale that automatically calibrates this info to my health app), weather (like a reminder to drink extra water on a hot day), and consumption of diuretic drinks as logged into the app. If the developers can incorporate these features into the app then they would really have a complete app that stands out from the rest..Version: 3.8.1

Good app but needs one fix…Update: Very pleased with the responsiveness of the developer! Turns out the app is smart enough to reset the timer after a log and I just didn’t see the setting. That being said, it wasn’t intuitive that that setting existed or that you could adjust the time. So I would suggest the devs make that more obvious! But again, I appreciate the responsiveness and have updated my review from 4 to 5 stars! ………… It’s a good app and it helps me drink water for sure and I enjoy the characters (though it would be nice to have a custom option). But the one thing that’s really annoying is that it doesn’t seem to be able to *know* you’ve logged something before sending you an alert to drink again. It should really be smart enough to reset the reminder timer from when you logged a beverage. Because it’s really annoying to log a beverage and then a second later get a reminder to drink. I really hope they fix that in the near future!.Version: 6.1.10

Very good app with apple watch app as bonusI was looking something simple and free without much of the ads. This is very good. UI is well polished, the features are well presented and apple watch app is very useful. Only advanced features are locked for paid user. I may try them sometime later. Overall best app for water tracking. Update: There was an update on watch 1 day after I posted the review. After the update, the waterminder complication changes to none in 3-4 hours. I set it for 3 times, but can’t do it again and again. Please take a look into it, as complication for this app is very useful, and give access to quickly open the app in one tap. I am not docking any star yet, and hoping the developer will look into it and fix it soon. Another feedback is that new watch UI is not good compared to earlier. The 4 cups dont fit vertically now, and have to scroll to add the 4th one which is an extra tap..Version: 6.3.2

Phenomenal New FunctionalityWaterMinder catapults to the top of the water tracking Apps with it’s new powerful INTERVAL functionality. This allows the user to DEFINE what the “active hours” WaterMinder should track and exactly WHEN to be reminded. WaterMinder, by default, used to roll over to a new “day” at Midnight. But No longer are you stuck with that definition of a “DAY” if you work night shifts (or any other non-traditional schedule other than a 9-5). Get up at Noon? Want to track your day starting at 3AM? Now you can define what your particular DAY cycle is!! And reach your tracking goals like anyone else who’s on a traditional 12AM to 12AM schedule!! Many, many, heartfelt Thank You’s to the developers for listening and crafting the ability to define what an actual water tracking “day” means for individuals. This is KEY WATER TRACKING functionality and literally no other Water Tracker offers this!!.Version: 5.0

Good so far except…Hi! Your app is super amazing so far, and as someone who’s commonly dehydrated this does help keep me on track. *however*, I would like to say that the gender option on the app can be harmful to transgender individuals- hear me out. A trans persons body type is not the same as their gender, and for medical purposes they must chose the one that matches their body. This can be harmful because it’s labeled as male and female, even though there are plenty of males with breasts, and plenty of females with… other parts. It can be very harmful to have to chose between those options while they’re labeled as such. I’d suggest making it so that when someone needs to add info about their body type, call it… that. “Your body type.” And don’t label it with a gender, but rather someone’s *sex*. (As gender and sex are different!) this will help many many people feel more comfortable and confident using this app. I hope you can understand where I’m coming from. Thank you for reading..Version: 5.0.4

My 1+ Year Usage ReviewI have been using this app for over a year now and it’s a very good app. However, it can be much better because anything consumed doesn’t always update the main screen. At this time, I need to tap History and tap Hydrate to see the updated totals. Next, how does one determine the hydration factor impact for soy milk because this doesn’t appear to be a standard option in the app? Furthermore, Reminders need to be simplified to something like every half hour, hour, and other value entered by the user. BTW, this could be similar to the Podcast app. Also, I should be able to receive these reminders only during certain interval during the day and the reminder should tell me how much to actually drink to meet my daily goal. It would be nice if I could say, ‘Hey Siri, log 8 oz of water’ or similar phrase but I know that Siri is very limited in its abilities to do anything at this time. In summary, this is a very good application for tracking my fluid intake per day but there are a few enhancements that I feel would make this app even better..Version: 4.1.6

Just get it - already. Finally, an App that is dedicated to helping remind me to drink the 3 liters (100 oz) a day that I need (Women get 2 L). Graphic is excellent and is an instant seller when folks want to know what that sound is.... Put it on your watch to capture every time you are beyond arms length from your phone- it makes for a accurate counting of those ounces. I am on a Keto Diet and it essential that I get all of my 3 L in a day - or risk medical complications. I have tried counting the water bottles, buying a 2 L jug (but seriously- who wants to lug that around), even stacking my refrigerated water bottles on my desk just to have them come up to room temperature.... and am free of all that now. One glance of the icon on the corner of my watch dial and I know how much I drank and how much to go. Developer: my only ask is to not prompt me to drink more when you know that I had a drink moments ago. For such an awesome App it would rate a 5 if you put in logic to know when I last had a drink and prompt me again from that time. Deducted a star..Version: 3.7.9

Left other water apps and stopped hereI love the app since it’s easy to read your info quickly and easy to add water or whatever else I drank for the day. Works great on my Apple Watch too. I like how I can customize quantity levels of the things I drink as well. I don’t always drink a standard 12oz amount cause you know life happens. The widget is my primary way I access the app on my phone so the app is tucked away in my App Library. The only thing I’d like better is if the silhouette showed chronologically the drinks I’ve consumed instead of by groups. I drink a cup in the morning then water most of the day and then a cup later in the afternoon. It would be nice to see how much water I drank in between the two cups of coffee as an example. This is just my thoughts and it’s nit pickin I get it. Anyway I do love the app. Keep up the great work..Version: 6.3.8

Slowly, yet beautifully changing my lifeThe first thing usually I worry about is having an alarm that tells me what to do because that would seem very annoying, however with this app I find myself enjoying every time the water reminder tells me “hey ! Its time to drink water” - also - having the flexibility to choose the best time to remind me is key. realized that my water intake throughout the day is under the optimum level that works for me - it has just been a week and I have found out lots of changes with my taste pallets whereby the more water I drink the better I feel + the less sugary and salty food I crave. This app certainly is simple, efficient and does the job - I also love the animations they use and Apple Watch reminders, beautiful graphics. Being a bit greedy here - maybe more of those graphics ? Cuz they’r amazing - I’d be really really be happier with it..Version: 3.8.1

A fun way to stay hydrated!I never write reviews on products, but I feel it’s worth it to write a review for the WaterMinder app. This app covers everything and you can add more than just water to your daily hydration log. They also send the cutest and “punny” reminders throughout the day. I love staying hydrated, but before I had the WaterMinder app it was hard to keep track of what I should be drinking and when. This app is so easy and fun to use that I enjoy drinking water and seeing how much water I’ve had throughout the week. I loved the 21 Day hydration challenge. I literally can’t believe I’m on day 20 already! I got my husband to download the app too and he’s on day 17, so we have a competition going to see who can stick to their goal everyday. This is not a paid advertisement or sponsored in any way. I just love this app :).Version: 6.4.5

Dynamic reminders were a huge missed oppApp is slick and has a ton of configuration options to personalize the app, but the biggest feature I expected to find was dynamic reminders. I blindly trusted the app’s position on the health app leaderboard and bought it without researching it much, and that’s my fault. But the reminders are static, and I expected more from a $5 app. Having 50 icons to choose from for your water buttons is nice, but I’d rather have options with my reminder settings. I get plenty of notifications from my phone as it is. The default settings include 7 reminders throughout the day. I only want reminders if I’m falling behind and not trending toward 100%, but as it is, I’m going to get 7 reminders every day regardless of progress. I’d like to be able to set a reminder to trigger on certain criteria, for example if I haven’t logged anything in over 3 hours, or if it’s 2:00PM and I am not yet 30% of the way to my goal..Version: 3.7.9

Good for tracking. Reminders need to be smarterI use this app to track my water intake. You can also use it to track other hydration sources, like sports drinks. Difference being the percentage of the amount consumed counting toward your overall intake. Example, 100 ml of water will count 100% of that. 100 ml of a sports drink will count for a little over 100% and alcohol less than 100%. I don’t agree with counting alcohol consumption towards hydration, so I don’t use the app for those beverages. The reminders are the part of the app that are lacking. They simply remind you to drink water at specific times during the day. They do not take into account how much you have already consumed, when you consumed your last beverage, or how much you need to consume to reach your daily goal. This feature needs to be enhanced to consider those things. More than once I’ve been reminded to drink water after I just logged drinking 1 liter. :-(.Version: 3.5.3

Awesome! (Especially if you have kidney stones!)I was never a big water drinker. My grandmother always said I would be dehydrated. Well, that didn’t happen. But what DID happen was that due to my not drinking enough water, my kidneys were not able to eliminate the particles that build kidney stones. So two years ago I was hospitalized for kidney stones. To avoid it happening again, my doctor recommended drinking 1 gallon of water every single day. So this app is PERFECT for me! It’s so easy to enter your goals and log in your drinks. At a glance you can see how you’re doing. Anyway, I love it and I RELY on it. That kidney stone all but crippled me, limited my movement due to pain. I remember that pain and this app helps me keep it from happening again. So thanks to anyone who read my story about how much this app means to me, and many thanks and gratitude to those caring individuals who developed it..Version: 4.1.3

Simply the bestLooking for an app to track water/liquid intake? Look no further. The app is simple to use but provides lots of customization. My favorite feature is the “today’s progress graph” widget that you can add to the phone lock screen. It’s great for at-glance check of how I’m doing with my water intake throughout the day. The free app is limited in its features. I’d suggest upgrading to the premium version. Being able to add custom drinks presets is a must-have. I’m not a fan of subscriptions so I’d suggest paying for the lifetime access upgrade - it’s worth it. $30 might seem like a lot but you’ve probably spent twice that on water bottles that you don’t use. ;) This app has helped me drink more water. Try out it out for yourself!.Version: 6.4.7

Wonderful App to UseEasy to use, loads of customizable features. Best ones are ability to create different drinks and their water content, choice of time of day for reminders, and the intelligence to stop reminding you when you’ve hit your daily goal. Getting 4 stars because reminders do not respect your recent inputs. I will log 24 oz of water at 8:58 and a reminder to drink water at 9:00. Dumb. Should have intelligent system to suppress reminders if you’re ahead of your goal, if you’ve logged intake within x minutes, and adjust your goal to consume x amount by a certain time. For example if I want to make sure I hit 100% of my goal between 8am and 8pm, the intelligent reminders should remind me to consume at an intelligent rate. I’ve been told they’re working on this feature set for this summer, but we’re mid way through and I haven’t seen it yet. Good app though. Works great with Apple Watch..Version: 4.1.10

Works great. Constantly hounds like an obsessive b****.WaterMinder works great. You CAN track any liquids you take in, water, milk, wine, pre-workout, rea, whatever. HOWEVER: The notifications are extremely annoying. It doesn’t matter how much you drink. The app hounds you like a passive aggressive ex-girlfriend still obsessed with you, with comments about how much you should have drank by this time of day. No consideration for your personal habits or routines and not enough customization to fix that. The constant preachy hounding is almost enough reason to dump this app, even though it (mostly) works for the intended purpose. Tone down the bossy reminders and I might even keep using it. Do I recommend this app? If you really need someone telling you to drink constantly, certainly you should get this app. If you hate being constantly reminded what a failure you are for not drinking enough water early in the day, skip the app..Version: 5.0.4

Hydration Impact is a ProblemSo, I want to start off by saying that the app is really good other than this one issue. It’s very manageable and efficient. However, different drinks don’t impact your hydration level as much as others. If you look in the settings and go to “Hydration and Other Drink Types,” there is a chart at the bottom that tells the hydration impact of each type of drink. It would be really nice, but the values aren’t right. For example, in the app, the hydration impact of soda is the same as water. They’re both set at 1. Soda should have an impact of about .47 of what water has. Also, Juices should be at ~.55, not 1. Energy drinks should be at .4, not 1. Tea should be at ~.85, not 1. These things don’t hydrate you nearly as well as water does. That’s a pretty big issue in my opinion. I know that you can go through and add different drinks and change the coefficient of hydration of each one separately, but I shouldn’t have to do that or go and research the hydration impact of a particular type of drink every time I want to add something. I should be able to select the drink type and amount and the coefficient should be correct to begin with. Other than that, I love the app. It works great, looks great, and is very useful. If that one problem could be fixed it would be the perfect hydration app..Version: 3.6.1

What I would like to seeThis app is great. Now that I’m drinking more water, I feel a lot better. Drinking more water to feel better is not a myth! There are some things I’d like to see though. I’d like to see the liquid that fills up the avatar be different colors according to whatever I’m drinking (like a brown section to indicate coffee). I feel like this can help users track what they are drinking from a glance. Not only that, but say a person drinks 80% soda for a day. This can be a wake up call! I’d also like the notifications to not be so static. If I drink a glass of water 2 minutes before a reminder, I’d like the app to not remind me to drink water. It’s quite silly to get notified right after I logged a drink. Maybe create a window of opportunity. Say I took a drink 20 min before a reminder. Don’t remind me. Or create an option for users to set that window limit..Version: 3.6.1

Apple Watch complication icon no longer showingI have WaterMinder on both of my apple watches as well as my iPhone. Recently, the WaterMinder complication no longer shows the icon. Instead there are 3 little dots. I have powered down/powered on both my iPhone and my watches… deleted/readied the app… and checked notifications. I still have all the other complication icons on the face. Anybody have any advice? Addendum: I raised my rating back to 5 stars. The developer reached out to me, and we were communicating via email to try different options to correct the problem. Happily, the complication icon reappeared on the watch face once I updated my iPhone to iOS 16. So back to normal. I appreciate the efforts from the developer..Version: 6.0.3

It’s great for general use !This app it amazing if you are trying to get better about drinking water. It reminds you throughout the day and you can keep track of your water intake in fun ways! There’s also challenges that keep it exciting! However, you have to pay to get more features like the difference in drink and what kind of mode you would like to use (light vs dark mode). Honestly some of the things that you would have to pay for are ridiculous and shouldn’t need to be bought, but I get that you have to make money somehow. And it’s not a lot on comparison to other subscriptions, but it’s just silly in my opinion. I hope this review is helpful! Again, if you don’t care about other features and are just worried about water intake, this is the app for you!.Version: 6.1.5

Updated watch —>updated reviewI originally gave this app only 2 stars and a poor review based on poor syncing with my Apple Watch 3 and glitches in the iPad version. I recently replaced my watch with an Apple Watch version 6 and no longer have syncing problems. The app itself is well designed and is better than the others I downloaded, although it was the only one that didn’t let me use it in a limited fashion before I had to pay for it. It reminds me to drink, makes recording my intake easy, and I like the ability to design my own beverages and sort them my way. The iPad version still has to be restarted every morning in order to see my daily history, so I can’t give it 5 stars yet. When everything works as it’s supposed to, it will definitely be a 5 star app..Version: 4.2.3

Good app, some improvements possibleIn general, this is a great app for those of us who get busy during the day and forget to drink enough. I especially like that I can use it on the Apple watch. After using the app for a little over a week, I've noticed some things that could/should be improved on. 1. The reminders should be better timed. I keep getting mine right after I logged that I just had a glass of water. Obviously, that's the exact moment I don't need those reminders. 2. When I increase the temperature from cold to moderate, the app tells me to lower (yes, lower) my water intake. That doesn't make sense to me. 3. I wanted to see what the app would say if I drank an unhealthy amount and entered up to 9 liters (my recommended intake is 2.1l) and the app kept congratulating me on passing the recommendation. But overall: good app..Version: 4.1.7

Great App! Needs to add in pregnancy/breastfeeding feature!I am typically really busy during the day and watermidner has significantly increased the amount of water I drink on a daily basis. Note that the app works best in conjunction with an apple watch or another compatible smart watch. I consistently meet my water goals even when I previously typically only drank 2-3 cups of water a day. I love that it allows me to adjust the drink sizes to the cups that I have at home. I also can customize the types of beverages and icons for those beverages that I normally drink and add them to the log shortcut. One thing that is missing and much needed is adjustment on hydration goals due to pregnancy and breastfeeding needs! Please add this feature!.Version: 6.1.12

Very well thought out and very informativeI’ve been using this app for two weeks. I’ve tried other apps to monitor water intake. This app is hands down THE BEST. It’s very straightforward yet it has many customizations. Even its explanations of the differences between water, coffee, tea, alcohol, and sports drinks are very helpful. If you log 1 oz of coffee it’ll count it as 0.9 oz of water. 1 oz of sports drink counts as 1.2 oz of water. Ingenious! You can also change the time of day to reset to zero—the default is midnight—which is great for shift workers! It syncs with my Apple Watch and you can customize the complications. These guys put a lot of thought into this app! Even their customer support is prompt to reply and friendly. GET THIS APP!.Version: 6.1.5

It's okay...UPDATED... but no matter what I do I can’t get the app to sync the watch and phone data. I have brand new everything so it shouldn’t be an issue with outdated equipment. I could understand this perhaps if I hadn’t had to shell out money for the app. To be clear, I’ve read reviews and developer responses. The watch app does not sync with the iPhone. I’ve restarted both. Reloaded the app. Still no syncing. Very disappointed. UPDATE: I’m not sure how it happened, but after a couple of weeks I noticed that the app was syncing. I had ready tried the developers fix after reading it on another review, and it hadn’t fixed the problem. As I said, I don’t know what changed (other than my opinion of the app). I am now very impressed..Version: 4.2.5

Notifications and RemindersI would have given this app a 5 star rating in a heartbeat, the design concept and functionality of the app is flawless. My only concern I have for this app is the notifications. I own an iPhone XS and Apple Watch 4 that I keep updated regularly, but for some reason the application fails to send me notifications properly, regardless of how many times I turn off notifications/reminder both in my Settings and inside the app itself. I have also shut down my phone and watch countless times to see if this would help, but it hasn’t sent me several notifications when I have them set as custom as well. If there was a way to improve this function it would be greatly appreciated and I would change my rating back to a 5 Star..Version: 3.7.9

Just what the Dr. (would have) ordered!Best water app I could find!! Two expensive kidney stone procedures, and now I am VERY motivated to drink all my water every day! Kidney needs to clear 2 liters of water a day to stay healthy, so I figure if 2 is the minimum, go for 3, and if don’t quite make it I’m still likely to hit 2. 3 liters is 101 ounces, so setting goal to 100 ounces easily tells me exactly how many ounces I have left to drink via the percent indicator. Every time I resist drinking all my water, I remember being in the hospital, and I remember paying thousands of dollars. So, drink water when I don’t want to, or pay thousands of dollars out of pocket. Hmmm, tough choice... Thanks WaterMinder for keeping me present to my options!.Version: 3.8.1

I love this app and highly recommend it!!I have been using this app for 10 months and I have met my hydration goal every day. The reminders are great (I love the one that sounds like liquid pouring into a glass!!). My skin looks great and I feel fantastic. I have a spill-proof Contigo water bottle that I take with me everywhere (another high recommendation!). I start my day drinking 20 ounces of water before I get out of bed. It gives me a strong start. I knows it’s silly but I get a kick out of watching the water level raise throughout the day on the figure that illustrates my hydration level! The app developers did a fantastic job with this app. I wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommended!!.Version: 5.1.3

Love-hateHate’s too strong. But it’s frustrating. I’ve tried to contact CS about issues, but the send button is never active. Then this morning, there was a new feature that allowed activity to impact the daily hydration goal. However, when it automatically added 1.5oz to my goal this morning, it somehow changed my goal to 1.5oz. Suddenly I exceeded my goal by over 1,000%. I was able to go back in and reset my goal. But when I tried to report this, once again the send button wasn’t active. Maybe it’s me, but all I did was add my water intake and the above happened. I really do like the app. But it needs some fixes..Version: 6.1.8

Hands down, The Best!I have been using this app since the beginning of 2023 🎉 This app is easy, fun, and educational. I have yet to realize a single thing that this app does not offer, in order to track, endorse, remind, and educate us on such an important aspect of our health! I love the fact that it is compatible with the Apple Health app which I use as my primary source of overall health tracking. Thank you to the team for the work that you’ve applied to make this the best hydration+ app available. I have no reservations to contribute monetarily to the efforts of this team and the extensive work that has been applied.😊.Version: 6.4.6

LackingSeveral features leave much to be desired. It helps remind you, and track, when you ingest liquid - yay! 3 stars for CRUD app. Let’s get it to 5 stars by fixing some lazily implemented features. If it’s 2 mins to the hour, I just recorded I drank something, and there’s a reminder set for the hour - do not remind me 2 mins later. There should be a “grace period” so I’m not flooded with needless reminders (reason I uninstalled the first time). Next, not all liquids are created equal. Diuretics and liquids that dehydrate the body should be weighted as such in the percentage toward goal. After all, I am concerned with my body’s hydration level, not ability to ingest liquid. Next, the slider on the phone app for changing ounces is annoying - MyFitnessPal took care of recording this better (take a look a their implementation). Good luck!.Version: 3.7.2

Great app that went downhillI’ve had this app for a while and when it was new, I would have given it 5 stars. But in the last six month or so, it’s started to go downhill for me. The Home Screen widget frequently is not up to date with the hydration level. I have to open the app, force quit it, and relaunch it for the widget to then refresh and update. Also, there are display glitches in the hydration level in the app where the bottom and top show “empty” and the middle section shows the water. Lastly, sometimes it doesn’t even update from the day before and when I add hydration from the widget then later go into the app, it still shows the 100% level from the day before. Again, I have to force quit and relaunch..Version: 6.4.7

Great app! Keeps me honestI’ve really liked having this app along with the widget. Keeps me always thinking about my water intake. It also has helped me realize that I sometimes have long gaps between “watering”. One thing I wish were different is the pop up notifications. They are seemingly unrelated to the last logged water. I think they are just on a regular timer. It would be much better if they were on a timer from the last logged water or if your not at a certain percentage by a certain time of day. It’s not helpful to get a pop up 5 min after logging..Version: 4.4.1

People are always forgettingMe personally, I always forget to dring enough water. This app perfectly matches what I was in need to. You make put your drinking goal per day, then it reminds you. Also the app supports Siri! Very nice simple design makes you to enjoy your experience with the app. First when I downloaded the app before several years, I didn’t listen to it’s notifications. Last week I had to call emergency ambulance because I had a deadly very strong pain resulting kidney stone! Then I am back to the app, not to suffer from that pain ever again. Thank you app team for making this brilliant app for keeping peoples healthy!.Version: 4.1.5

“Water” nice app!(The header’s a pun. It’s okay to grin.) I really like this app because it is an effective way for me to keep a fairly accurate record of my fluid intake. I also like that it works with my Apple Watch, which makes keeping track of how much water I’m drinking throughout the day much simpler, having set reminders to my watch. However, the reason I did not give a five star rating is because the greatest quantity of liquid that can be logged at one time is 36 oz, and my Hydro Flask is 1.1 L (40 oz), so I have to log two separate fluid entries at the completion of one bottle’s worth of water. It would be much simpler to use if there were the option to log greater values of fluid than limiting the users greatest intake to 36 oz..Version: 3.4.1

Life ChangerFor years, I was an individual who only drank water when I felt thirsty. Consequently, I have paid dearly by having to deal constantly with Kidney Stones. Women say having a baby is painful, apparently they've never passed a Kidney Stone!! LOL Ever since I've been using this program, my level of Hydration has increased 10 fold and I'm on the road to recovery. Definitely a life changer in my particular situation. However, the last update had messed up the visual display so that it doesn’t work correctly! Contacted the App support and they are extremely difficult to deal with. They want you to fix their problems!!!.Version: 4.1.3

Great all for tracking hydrationThis is a great app for making sure to stay on top of hydration. Without it I get busy and forget to drink fluids. Thanks to the easy to use widgets, notifications, and easy to customize shortcuts for quick drink logging, it makes it super simple to keep track. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 is that they are not fully making use of integration with the Health app. While it does log hydration and make use of Active calories in the health app for its recommended water intake amount, it does not also log alcohol consumption in the health app when you log a glass of wine or other alcoholic beverage..Version: 6.4.1

No longer works on Series 1 WatchI loved this app since finding it last year. It was so easy to keep track of how much fluids I had had during the day. However, since June 13th, 2019, shortly after the WWDC, the complication no longer works on the Series 1 Watch. I can still add things in on my iPhone but it was so much more convenient on my Watch. I know the Series 1 is getting old but couldn’t the developers have made it compatible just a little longer? Oh well, maybe this is a hint that it’s time to upgrade. Update: Developer contacted me with instructions on how to fix this. And it works! Thanks Funn Media..Version: 3.8

Great appExcellent integration with Apple watch. Simple but full of features needed for hydration tracking. Highly recommend..Version: 3.7.8

Very helpfulVery helpful.Version: 4.4.2

Seamless integration across devicesThe integration with both the Apple Watch and Siri Shortcuts are seamless. Works super well, and is easily customized to focus on your goals. The newest updates have made the watch app even cleaner and easier to use..Version: 5.1.2

Great appGreat app, especially with the dynamic reminders based on water level. Would be nice to have more integrations with the Health app to read things like my weight automatically..Version: 5.0.1

Very helpful!I’m very stubborn so this has been very helpful. It has enough simple features in it that are super easy to use..Version: 3.7.6

Almost what I wantI have this on my iPhone and watch. Before having this, every morning on my way to work, I would remember that I needed to drink at least 2.5 L that day. Every evening, on my way home from work, I would remember that I failed to drink my water that day. Since I installed this I have not had a single day in which I drank less than 2.5 L of water. So why is it not what I want? Frequently, the app reminds me to drink water minutes after I have reported to it that I just drank 300 mL or 500 mL of water. When the app become smarter and gives me reminders based on time and when I most recently reported that I drink water it will be what I truly want. For now, I appreciate that I am remaining hydrated, even with the minor irritation of the app not being smart..Version: 4.2.3

ImprovingThe last update seems to have solved the syncing issue I was having between the Apple Watch and iPhone, however, the watch’s complication still doesn’t match the app on either the watch or phone. For example, the complication will show 12% complete while the phone and watch app show 17% complete..Version: 4.0.1

Drinking water makes a differenceThis app works well and keeps you on track..Version: 3.5.3

Amazing App10/10 in love with this app. I never purchase apps but this one I just had too and I have not been disappointed. I am more motivated to drink water! This is a fun way to track my water intake.Version: 6.2.5

Not happyNo matter how many times I set the colour to the drink..it changes. This is frustrating and I am about to quit this app. The app on the Apple Watch is even more frustrating. No ability to change colour and retain either on phone or watch. Without glasses I depend on colour only. Fix it or I quit the app. Daily resetting is infuriating even though sync is on..Version: 6.1.14

WaterMinder reportsI think that your making us drink a little to much because I finished my goal last night and I could barely move and compared to the amount I would drink without this app I would be drinking a quarter of what you make me do..Version: 6.2

Family sharingIs this app not available for apple family sharing? Can you make it available?.Version: 6.1.14

Best Water Tracking App I have used!I have really enjoyed Water Minder for all my water needs. It’s created an excellent habit for me to ensure I am drinking enough water throughout the day and tracking it. Plus the fact that you can input other beverages into your total daily amount is neat too..Version: 6.1.14

Great appEasy to use. Reminders are great. Works well with watch.Version: 6.1.13

AWESOME / PERFECT APP!!!Amazingly motivating, with reminders that are very helpful. Day to yearly tracking, along with great tips on why we all should and need to drink water!! Lots of unexpected unique settings, One of my favorite apps !! The only water tracking app you’ll ever need. So worth it!!!.Version: 6.1.13

Great AppEasy to use. Easy to customize Definitely feel more alert having made sure I am getting enough fluid base on my height weight and daily activities..Version: 6.1.10

Awesome app! This is a Godsend! The water splash reminders are the only thing that has ever worked to get me drinking water. App is super easy and fun to navigate. Signed, Hydrated & Happy..Version: 6.1.10

Very impressedA very nicely designed app!.Version: 6.1.6

ProgressWhat a pleasant surprise coming back to this app, after not using it for a couple of years, and seeing that the new feature additions are thoughtful and useful rather than just cruft..Version: 6.1.6

Amazing user interfaceThis app makes tracking water consumption a joy. Everything is so polished and works exactly as you would hope..Version: 6.1.5

Simple hydration tracker and reminderEasy to use hydration tracker. Let’s you set up common consumption amounts, e.g., 250 ml water, 300 ml coffee, and so on. Big splash when you make your target for the day. Nice graphics. Simple reminder to drink. (You don’t need the app for reminders. Lots of apps for that.) Modest price. I downloaded years back when it was either free or a small one-time charge..Version: 6.1.1

Actually helps outThink about it, with how busy the days are, I forget to eat let alone drink water. This allows me to get reminders on my Apple Watch, and you can control when you get them, and when to leave me alone. For the price, it’s a pretty skookum deal and app..Version: 6.0.3

Excellent!Great for logging hydration from the app, Apple Watch, and Siri! I’m currently using Siri to log drinks because I can use shortcuts to add additional nutritional info, such as calories, sugar, caffeine etc. It would be great if this functionality was added directly through your app though, so I could log as accurately directly through the app and watch complication. Please consider expanding the your support to other Apple Health fields, to include other nutritional data so we can log more completely!.Version: 5.0.3

Works great!!!Best app to track liquid intake..Version: 5.0.2

The best water appKeeps me drinking enough water every single fay, it’s helped me form good drinking habits ( at least for water hehe ).Version: 4.3.7

Use to be awesome… Then I updated. Still great on the phone and it’s freeThis use to be the perfect app for tracking my fluids which I need to do for a medical condition. It worked great with my Apple Watch and Shortcuts made adding my drinks a watch clock away. Then I updated to Watch OS 8 and iOS 15 and the app stopped playing nice with my Watch. I’ve given up trying to use this app with my watch because the app on the watch and the phone no longer sync and every time I try to use Shortcuts on my watch with Water Minder I get an error. Things seem to be working fine on the phone, but I’ve deleted the app from my watch because it’s become completely useless. Still, in the end, it’s a free app. Unless you wanna get ripped off by some subscription model, go ahead..Version: 4.4.1

Great app!All because of this app I’m able to drink adequate amount of water to stay hydrated. I can log on my Apple Watch and MacBook.Version: 4.3.4

Best Hydration Reminder AppI love this app. It's intuitive and simple to use. The app is very attractive and makes something add mundane as drinking water actually fun. Kudos to the designers of this app. They have done a masterful job. Better yet, they release frequent updates to correct and bugs and keep the app fresh..Version: 4.3.3

Not that flexibleCan’t seem to make corrections. Annoying..Version: 4.2.8

MehI report on my watch 24oz of water and the app then reports 6 times 24oz. You try to remove one from the app and they all are deleted. Great app on the watch. At least it’s accurate..Version: 4.2.7
