Interesting gameI really love this game. I love how realistic the cooking is it's like you're actually cooking which is really cool but the problem is that I don't really know how to cook not everyone knows how to cook but the thing that's stresses me is the timer when I first played it. It was kinda easy, but I don't really know most of the things what to do I would need help and watch ads every level now and I get so confused and they get a little bit mad because of the time is ticking and I don't know point but it's a very very, very good game though. I can't argue about that but the time it has just no I mean the timer is a good challenge for people who takes the challenge like if they were actually cooking competition or something. But I recommend for the people who own this game or made it. Most irritating but cute game everSo let me start this off by saying it isn’t a bad game. The whole thing is very cute and the vibe is nice. I only have a couple complaints 1. The timer. Adding a timer to anything instantly makes it more stressful. And because of the nature of the recipes sometimes you can’t even afford to make a single mistake or you’ll run out of time. The amount of times I’ve finished with 1 or 2 seconds is crazy. 2. The very particular order things need to be done. This doesn’t just apply to the receipt but also where things are placed. It can be very irritating when you’re trying to place things down but no matter what it isn’t staying. Or when you’re trying to add different seasonings but it isn’t adding because you need to go in a particular order (even though logically it doesn’t matter, they’re seasonings) 3. Learning by failure. This kind of connects to my previous points. Because of the particular order things need to be done in this game (paired with the timer) it seems the only way you’ll be able to beat a level is by failing it first, which is quite frustrating. Now this primarily applies to the longer more complex recipes but because of the very strict order of things you’re pretty much guaranteed to fail the first time you attempt it. Much potential, but some frustrating aspectsThis game has so much potential to be great. The art style is adorable, and the recipes are so realistic! But here are my critiques. This game is advertised as relaxing with no pressure, but then for some reason they put a timer on each level and don’t give you nearly enough time, especially at beginning levels when you’re just getting used to things and don’t know what’s going on. I was starting to get super frustrated because it sometimes doesn’t make any sense as to what you are supposed to do. Not so relaxing in that regard. Also, not sure if it’s just my device, but the game freezes a lot and has a tendency to not register my clicks. For example, I was making the American Breakfast, and was trying to put the lettuce and tomatoes on the plate. There was nowhere else for it to go. But for some reason, it wasn’t registering, and I had to attempt to put them on the plate 10 times before it worked. I was getting confused and annoyed, and I had to watch 2 ads in exchange for an extra couple minutes just so I could complete the level. Actually, since writing this review, the game is not working on my ipad at all anymore 😔 The ipad is completely up to date. When I start up the app, it won’t let me click on anything. I love this game, but…(READ THIS PLS)Hi, so this game I have so much fun on. I love it so much but there is one problem. It’s the timer when I first saw it. I found it on an ad. And the ad didn’t show the timer. If you could, please get rid of the timer. I thought I was supposed to be relaxing and fun but no, it’s stressful and it rushes(this message was for the person who made the game) and this is for everybody else at the first level. It’s very easy, but it will get harder and harder. And they gave me like five minutes on the first level, but then he gave me two minutes on the other harder levels. Remove the timerI honestly don’t even know why it’s a thing the app developers claim it’s a relaxing chill game to play on a Sunday morning with no word of the 3 minute timer it’s such a fun puzzle game when your not worrying about having to finish the meal in 3 minutes which even if you do all the steps perfectly you probably will need to watch a add to get another minute especially since it’s 3minutes for every level no matter the difficulty oh and don’t forget sometimes the adds will glitch & you’ll lose all the progress you made and will have to restart the game For example the crab level you have to catch the crab clean it & cook it with all the right tools they don’t let you know the order which is okay it’s a puzzle game but in that process of finding out which tools to use I ran out of time I had to watch 3 separate adds to get another minute each & on the last add It was nothing but a blank screen so I lost all my progress the hints I got which you have to watch adds for those as well & again to mention all the levels are 3 minutes no matter the difficulties.Version: 1.7
Fun but needs a few fixesIt’s fun and generally relaxing, but I found that after a certain point you can tell when levels are made by different people or set up differently. Some levels require you to tap ingredients to remove skin before cutting, others remove skin as you cut. Some want you to preheat skillets, others don’t. My biggest problem is there have been several times that I try to, for example, use a whisk in a bowl, but the game needs very specific inputs for it to work. So it won’t work, I’ll try many other things, the clock continues to tick down, and the fourth or fifth time I try whisking the eggs it finally works, but I now only have twenty seconds to finish the whole recipe. Same goes for cutting ingredients. Sometimes the knife needs to be put on the side of an ingredient rather than the middle, which slows you down. I just want them to tweak inputs so it isn’t so finicky, since you already spend a lot of time trying to figure out the correct order. Fighting controls shouldn’t be possible.Version: 2.2
Potential but annoyingThis game can be really fun but the time limits are too short considering how specific you have to get some of the moves/motions and the fact that levels aren’t consistent with how mechanics work. It looks like they are working to add a recipe book which would be good since right now on some levels you have to watch and ad or pay to get the hint to know which order they want. An example of the levels not being consistent is that some of them want you to turn the burner on before you add oil/water and some need the oil/water first. My biggest issue is how stupidly short the time limits are. You often have to repeat a couple times because you have to get it perfect from the first second and still have to watch an ad for 30-60 seconds more. It’s frustrating enough that I’ve considered uninstalling. It’s got potential to be really fun and but I feel like I’m spending more time watching ads to add time or figure out if the salt or pepper goes first than actually playing..Version: 2.0
Buy this game nowFive stars because I think it’s really fun but confusing because it’s really crazy and fun because from it looks like capybara is cute right if you like if you’re a capybara hater then don’t play the game. To much adsI love this game so much but their is a few things that are annoying. Which is why it is a four stars. For starters the ads. The new update put ad breaks in the middle of a level. I was fine with the an ad after a recipe sure it was annoying but it was manageable. Now it’s a little bit unbearable like I can’t get in the flow of it with an ad in the middle. Secondly the timer and the progression meter. I liked how the timer before was a continuous time and each level had a different time. But now the timers are spread out through the little part in the levels. Like I want to see how long and how much left I have. Tho I do with the continuous timers some levels were just a little but longer. I do like the progression meter now I kinda like how there is different sections but I also liked the other one as well. More time!I agree with other users that we need more time for some of these levels. Also sometimes it just glitches, where I know I am doing the correct item in the correct order and the item just won’t interact or I can’t pick something up. It’s really annoying to lose a life when I know I’m doing the correct thing. Only to run the level again and have it work just fine. It’s really annoying. That being said I really do love this game. I don’t mind watching an add or two to figure out the proper order for cooking. But once I know I’m working in the correct order I should be able to get three stars. Some of these levels you just can’t get three stars because once you get time added on, with coins or an add, you lose a star. It’s a fun cooking game that doubles as an order of operations puzzle. Relaxing and No In-App Purchases! But…The Time LimitOverall it was a great game and very relaxing to play, but the time limit added extra stress to a game that should be enjoyable and low stress. Kind of false advertisementIt’s not a relaxing game. It can be very infuriating at times if you don’t do very mundane things, like move a spoon that serves no purpose. The art style is great, and it actually has great potential! But the gameplay mechanics are a bit asinine, mostly because there’s a timer? So yeah, please don’t expect a relaxing game. I can’t really even say it’s a puzzle game either, because some of the solutions require you to do things in a VERY specific order that isn’t always intuitive. Not that I’m saying it needs to be super obvious either, I’m saying that some things literally just don’t make sense, especially if you’ve never seen some of these recipes be prepared in real life before… Which is entirely likely you haven’t seen EVERY single one. Anyhow, I’ll give credit where it’s due. Good art style, sound design, fun recipes. Just wish the timer wasn’t a thing at all. Glitch on recipe 84 “crepe”I absolutely love this game! It’s been perfect up until i got to level/recipe 84 titled “crepe”. I have been trying to pass it for weeks and several times again even after updating. However, when I get to the last part of the round where you make crepes for customers, it doesn’t accept orders past 3rd and 4th customer. I’ve played it so many times i know for sure it’s not due to me mistaking the order. Such a bummer because there isn’t even an option to skip the level so i have been without my favorite game for weeks since i can’t pass this level due to this glitch! Hoping someone sees this because i wasn’t able to figure out direct reaching out for app support beyond writing it in a review here! The game is 10/10 otherwise!! Great gameThis is a really great game. I’ve never had any personal complaints with the timer is definitely five stars. I recommend it but if you have a time limit, I don’t really recommend getting it cause you’re gonna spend way too long on this app. It’s really fun and you do need Wi-Fi to play this game so I had to figure that out the hard way but now that I know that it’s a great game I love this game and I could just spend hours playing it, but there’s so many great games that I’ve downloaded from these people cook and chill in a cozy kitchen these people make a lot more games in their games are so fun. Honest reviewI don’t personally hate the game and its concept but I do agree with other people’s comments about how it can be tough to figure out and then you have the timer. I feel like the timer shouldn’t even be there to begin with because It literally says to “Chill and Cook” in the second to last paragraph in the description. I get that these free download games need to make money but I feel like people would be more obligated to buy stuff in games if the prices were lower. Good, but has issuesThis game is fun and very interactive. It has flaws, though. Sometimes you don't get enough time for the amount of things you need to do. It leaves you with like 1 minute to cook everything after trying to figure out what to do. There needs to be a little more instruction. It is also buggy and very particular about where you put things in order for it to work. A lot of times I got stuck on one level for awhile just because I was doing the right thing but the game either bugged out and didn't take the correct item or I just wasn't putting it into the very small "correct" spot. It's also annoying to have to sit through an ad for one hint and then get two stars automatically because you needed a hint due to lack of instructions. I love this game so much!I got this game because I played their other game (perfect tidy) and just really loved the cooking levels specifically. The thing that makes this game so enjoyable is that it is not super easy to do; it takes you a second each level to understand the game logic, it helps you practice achieving a task very quickly, and improves your motor skills. At least that’s what I think. This game, while there is a short time limit and I understand people dislike that quality, actually thrives under that time constraint. It just means you have to work even harder to beat a level, and it makes it all the more satisfying to finally finish. And I just love how they’re constantly adding more and more levels, because I could play this game forever!!.Version: 2.3
Time constraintI love most qualities about this game. It can be relaxing, fun, super cute and overall enjoyable. I’m taking off a star because the time limit is too short and doesn’t allow the game to fully embody what it could be as a relaxing and fun game. I’d weigh the option of purchasing a premium option with no time limit and maybe no ads but unfortunately that’s not an option. Instead we’re charging $6 just for no ads except “optional ads for rewards”. That concept is crazy to me, for $6 the customer should get more in the sense that no ads means no ads. The ads don’t even bother me much cause it’s just in between levels and for more time but I’d weigh the option of purchasing it for no ads and no time limit. ALMOST perfectI loveeee this game. The levels are all fun and I love the mini game options. My two problems with it are that 1: You do NOT have enough time to finish ANY level. I have to watch multiple ads because it’s genuinely just not enough time. I can do a level very quickly with no mistakes, getting everything correct along the way and it still runs out of time with me needing 2ish more minutes to get it done. 2: The levels expect you to do things in a very specific order that really shouldn’t matter. If I’m putting both salt and sugar into a bowl and mixing them together, it should not matter which one I pour in first. Especially because it changes! Those stupid hearts need to be removed ASAPI’ve been playing this game for a while and it’s super fun, there is a time limit that’s hard to work in so I often have to watch adds to gain more time. I don’t mind that but it can get annoying. What I’m now outraged about is in this recent update there is no longer just a time limit but a heart life bar thing. This stupid thing deducts hearts when you do something wrong, this is extremely annoying because there are literally no instructions (unless you watch more adds 🙄) so you’re bound to get something wrong. So if you get things wrong like 5 times your out of hearts and you have to watch an add again and god forbid you repeat the process: MORE ADDS!!! SO FUN! except...This game is literally so fun and i love it! the way it operates and everything i really kind of enjoy that there isn't instructions, although sometimes that is hard. the thing that makes me give it 4 stars is the timer. there is not enough time to do most of these and you have to either use coins or watch a video to get more time to complete it, and after you watch a video you can't watch another for more time. i'm on the beef wellington level and there is no way anyone can get through that in 3 minutes with all of the thing you have to do, and the lack of instructions makes it even harder. you don't know the order of how to do anything that needs to be done so you have to just drag and tap around until you figure it out. please add more time for the harder stages!!!!!.Version: 1.7
LOVEEEE this gameI love this game because it’s exactly what it advertises. it’s AMAZING. i reccomend this game to all my friends, so calming and i love the animation. although i love it, i’m having a slight issue. whenever the events pop up, i can’t play it. i’ve tried to find out where to, but unfortunately i cant. i’m not sure if it’s because my phone is off (i’ve tried to restart it multiple times) but i really want to play these events! please let me know how to play them lol. also, a little suggestion to have the option to play each level without the time limit and hearts after you’ve completed the level could be amaaazing. i love the game but the time factor sometimes stresses me out! i’d love to have the option for a ‘zen’ mode..Version: 2.17
PerfectionI love cooking games and I’m always on the look out for the best ones. This one is by far my favorite. Super addicting! You get to be involved in the actual process of cooking and sometimes you even have to use some brain power to figure out your next move. The only issue I have is that a random pop up displays on the screen every ten seconds it seems like. It always sends me to a blank safari page and I don’t know how to get rid of it. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app many times, hoping it was just a bug that needed to be fixed or something, but no luck. Fun game!This game is really fun it does get kinda confusing at times. Also at the end of each round of putting together the food you get an add there’s not that many adds unless your playing more than one mini game you have to watch an add before you start the next game. Serving OrdersI like the game, mostly. It’s fun, has a few game modes like Chill Cook and the Orders that come in every day, plus the Pizzeria and Burger Shop you can run. I do dislike the short time limits, though. In later levels (Lyonnaise Salad and ESPECIALLY Spring Mochi) there are mini games which require really really precise timing and can dig into your time limit pretty heavily if you don’t have great reflexes. I propose pausing the timer or at least adding a slowdown to it during those annoying segments. Next, there are a few levels (Easy Smoothie, Smoothie, City Ice Cream Cone, Beach Ice Cream Cone, Matcha, Matcha Set, Cupcake, Grilled Skewers, Spring Mochi) that have you prepare the food at the end for customers to come eat. My issue is that the timer keeps going even after you serve the last customer and the cutscene is playing. Even though all that’s left is to watch all the characters enjoy the food, you can still lose at that point! Also, I really do like those ending food prep sessions, but so many of the ingredients never seem to actually get used :( Maybe you could add a food prep game mode where it’s just the ending parts of those recipes? I actually really like them… especially the ending of the Grilled Skewers recipe..Version: 2.9
Good concept but a few issuesI’ll just go straight to the point instead of rambling: i enjoy how the game lets you cook without annoying instructions, but sometimes the levels are not self explanatory. for example, if i see a stove and a steak then i’ll turn on the stove, add the butter, then the steak. self explanatory. the bbq level, on the other hand was very confusing. i had to pull back bushes?? then tap the creature over and over? besides that, i also have encountered some bugs on the steak level where i tried to add the sauce to the steak but it did not work at all. also like the other reviews said, the timer is very stressful and gives you such little time especially with the fact that you are not given any instructions and you have to figure it out on your own. maybe 5-6 minutes would be better FIX BUGS!!!!!!!.Version: 1.4
Absolutely Love This Game but Considering Deleting Because of One Specific AdI’ve been playing this game for only a few months and I am obsessed.. which is making me really disappointed about this “security protector” ad that keeps pulling up my safari and also making the game itself lag severely. Otherwise the game is so fun! I love the weekly updates, especially the one within the last week that categorizes and gives milestone rewards. There aren’t an annoying amount of ads, just one after every level and one in the middle of the levels with the longer timers (along with any you chose to watch for free rewards). Great but needs workI really do love this game! I love all of the cooking recipes and the art style. The only thing I would like to have in the game is where you can choose to disable or enable the timer, I want this game to be extra relaxing but it’s hard when there a timer that only gives you 2-3 minutes on each dish. Other than that everything thing else is great, it runs smoothly I haven’t had a problem with any of the recipes or when playing. I wish I could give it a full 5 stars but like I said I believe the timer ruins it a little bit, they give you little time to complete the dishes I don’t like rushing through certain games but sometimes I feel I have to with most of the recipes, I’m also not saying to get rid of it completely because some people like a challenge when it comes to these types of games, that’s why I would prefer a button in the setting where you can choose to disable the clock/timer or enable it if you enjoy having it on. Lots of issuesIt’s a fun game unfortunately, the meals are very unique and it’s awesome that there are capybaras but half the tjme on the levels it glitches out and you can’t even click it. The amount of times I’ve been doing a step correctly and then it’s not working so I spend 45 seconds of my precious life watching an ad to tell me to do the same exact thing I have been doing for the past min?? Come on now 🙄also 3 mins is not enough time to complete a round if you are going to add in 40 glitches. And make the time faster on stirring and cooking things. It’s good, but it could use some workI love this game very much. I got it today, but I could use some work on the ads and some lagging too. First up the ads every time I try to buy a hint or try and stop time the ads like shut down and there’s nothing to do I have to wait for an hour so that I can just keep doing the game could use some work on that. Second, the lagging this game lags a lot you should add like low quality or high-quality buttons so that the game doesn’t lag that much every time I want to press the start over button it doesn’t come up and I start to panic five seconds and it comes up and my heart is still beating. Love the game but one thingI love this game so much and it feels just like cooking. It’s not like easy kid game stuff it’s real meals you have to cook. You have to get the ingredients and everything. It’s so immersive and I love it! The only thing is the game barely give you any time and I usually get stuck on a step bc I’m not putting something in the right place (or I forget to put the plug in the sink which I regularly do) and it wastes me time. Then I have to either pay the games currency or watch an ad. I don’t mind the ads at all but I have to do it almost every single meal I’m cooking, and it’s frustrating. The update.Before the update, I loved this game. It was chill, relaxing, fun, and overall a good game. I was excited for the update since I had finished all the levels prior to the update. One thing I HATEEE about this new update is the heart system and the short amount of time we get for each level. Most of the time we get 2:30 to complete a level, mind you, we have no broad hints. Before I wasn't bothered by the timer but the new levels are soo long, ESPECIALLY since you have no idea what you're doing for the first time and just guessing where things go. Its a great game dont get me wrong but its almost impossible to beat a level first try with barely any time. All im asking is for more time and maybe fix how some items HAVE to be in a SPECIFIC spot for it to work..Version: 1.9
Fun But GlitchesI really love this game! It’s not too complicated and I really enjoy how realistic it is with the steps. My biggest issue is that the game does glitch, not allowing you to do certain steps. Usually when this happens, I close the game completely and try that level again with no issues, though occasionally I’ll need to close the game mid-play several times before it allows you to complete the necessary step. I’ve also noticed that the stirring action in the game is a bit wonky, which can be really frustrating when the game is timed. It would be nice if all stirring actions could be completing by just holing down on the utensil, as the physical action of stirring is often choppy or glitchy. Fun but frustratingThis game is incredibly fun. The visuals are nice and the different “cooking styles” keep it from being repetitive and boring. It’s one of my favorites, especially with the cute animals. However, there’s too many times where the game randomly stops responding to touch but the timer keeps going down. The “hit box” also annoying for moving ingredients. The margin for error is so slim sometimes that unless you’re moving them to the EXACT point it wants, the game will not register it as you doing the right step. There is also very long recipes that even if you do everything right as quickly as possible, you still will run out of time. The game is decent but has a few problemsThe game is fun I’ve had for a long while. They did fix a grievance I had before about little levels which is good but what I noticed with these new level is the long animations and how slow and long they go for no reason. If your going to make levels go from 3 minutes to 2 you should speed up the animations and not make them go on for so long I’ll whisk some eggs b it it’s taking 10-15 seconds which adds up when you only have 2 minutes once it’s at the picture you want you the animation should immediately end. Otherwise it makes levels impossible without watching an ad or spending money which would be okay if it didn’t affect your score. Otherwise the game is great..Version: 1.7

Love this game, but needs improvementI love playing this game when I have free time! I have been playing Cooking Dom since a year ago and the recipes never disappoint! However, what I noticed throughout the updates is the amount of ads in this game. I feel that two ad breaks during mid level can get frustrating and it’s unnecessary. From previous updates, I remember coins were given during an ad break to compensate but however now there is no coins or perks given. The new timer system for some levels is not enough, especially the Lunar New Year recipes, it is impossible to get 3 stars without adding time. Please fix the timers for some levels that require more time. Another note is it can get frustrating when some objects and tools must be placed in one exact position, and it wastes more time.
