Truth and Functionality 10/10Downloading I was pretty skeptical about this app only because, downloading any bible centered platform, I’m always skeptical just because I like to make sure this reflects the truth in the scriptures( I read KjV and NLT on paperback) so the way each “lesson” explains and guides the reader through the chapters is very clear and coherent. I don’t have questions after reading, nothing goes unanswered, and if I do(which hasnt happened, yet), I just look it up in my actual Bible. The translation is great, so far, I haven’t noticed any verses being taken out of context or being replaced/diluted. I don’t have any issues and loving the set up and the simplicity of the app. No pop up ads or extra buttons to worry about. -who doesn’t love that- I do have a favorite feature and it has got to be the Prayers after each lesson. When I pray, my mind blanks while my heart remains eager to give to the Lord, and the prayer prompts they have, are extremely helpful for someone who is always at a loss of words, or doesn’t know where to start. Don’t hesitate to download this app. Everything is clear, understandable and true. Whoever made this app PS. I appreciate it work and the effort that went into this, hasn’t gone unnoticed. GoodSo far the app has helped me to be consistent in my Bible study, but the subscription pop up every time the app is launched is a bit pushy and obnoxious and detracts from my overall experience of the app. I understand that what you have made is not free and I appreciate that, but not everyone can afford to pay for a subscription app. If there were lower tiers that were in between what is offered then I could see paying for that. Ultimately, pushing for people to get a subscription makes it feel less like a philanthropic company trying to help Christians grow, and a tad bit greedy since their are numerous competing programs that offer in depth Bible study for completely. To end on a positive note, I do love this app. You do a lot of positive things and you at least don't have pop up ads which would completely ruin the experience like some Bible study apps I've tried. I love the concept and the idea of taking care of a lamb that represents our spiritual growth. This is great. Keep up the good work. I LOVE ITTI LOVE LOVE LOVE this app it is amazing and I’m only a few days in and even without a reminder I just feel this push to maintain and continue my streak (and that’s a lot coming from quite literally the most inconsistent person ever), it has amazing features from prayer generators to lessons and little quizzes at the end of each lesson which is amazing and probably my favorite part 🤭🤭🤭, and it even has a separate section where you can just read the Bible although I find it hard to settle down because I’m a visual learner I would love if they added a sort of illustrated version I knowww I’m asking for a lot but most other Bible illustration apps are either not proper visual representations or you need to pay so much for and I feel like having that would make it the perfect way to read just for more visual people like me…but besides that it is quite literally the best app ever I kid you nottt🤍🤍🤍.Tepilo🩵Version: 1.6.1

Great Start!So far I have loved using this app. It’s very user friendly and is easy to navigate. I have some suggestions to possibly add more space for users to be creative! At the end of every lesson there is a prayer, I think it would be great if there was a part where you could type/ talk and record your own prayer and maybe there could be suggested words or phrases to help build your own prayer. There’s nothing wrong with the ones they give, but I think part of growing in your faith is creating your own prayers and having it be personalized! On the same matter of prayers, it would be interesting to have another section where you can learn different prayers like the Hail Mary or Our Father. Some people are new to faith, and being able to practice these prayers could be really helpful! It could be a step by step to help memorize each part of the prayer and then a final test where you record it at the end. Great, but hoping for improvementsHad my first session today and I can see myself truly using this daily to listen to curated bible passages in a way that keeps my attention and quizzes my knowledge on the passages. But as any initial experience is, I feel it necessary to point out one things that I genuinely hope get revamped. Use of AI voices and compressed sound effects: I get it. Using AI voices is cheap and easy, but the ending message and prayer read by an AI in its metallic voice is just off-putting. Hopefully more support comes this app’s way so this can be one of the first things to go. On top of that, the overall sound design is just “eh”. Maybe it’s just me, but the use of bit-compressed royalty free sound effects gets old very quickly. I hope soon these small things get smoothed out, and if you spent the time to read this review I say give it a shot! Pretty good!I’m enjoying this app a lot but really wish each level was only one chapter instead of two. Because I listen to each thing and then read the full chapter, it takes about 20 minutes to finish a level with two chapters. The question answer options make it way too clear what the right answer is so it doesn’t feel like I am learning much. I cover the answers after seeing the question to try to make it harder. I’m also not sure how I feel about everything being made with AI and charging a lot of money since it’s also copying Duolingo’s UI pretty heavily. It’s not clear how much original work or thought went into this. Getting Closer To God By The DayI got this app yesterday, and usually I’m not one to open a bible and get really interested into it because I’m always on my phone. Being able to have a Bible app and learning about God here is so convenient! I feel like me and Gods relationship is starting to grow. The stories and questions on here are really addicting in a great way. I look forward to reading scriptures and continuing my streak with Manna. I also love the feature of the chat with Manna, the advice he/she gives me is so helpful and it gets me thinking in a positive perspective. Opportunity for GrowthI’ve really enjoyed using Manna, and up until John 3 I was genuinely excited about recommending it widely—both to my Sunday school students and even at the Catholic school where I work. I think the concept has so much potential to help kids read Scripture regularly in a fun and consistent way. When I reached the question about Nicodemus and Christ’s teaching on being “born again,” I was surprised to see the answer presented only through one specific denominational lens. As an Orthodox Christian, I believe deeply in the salvific role of baptism—being “born of water and Spirit”—and I know this is something shared by Catholics and even several Protestant traditions. Because of that, it felt like an important moment where a more inclusive explanation could strengthen the app’s appeal across the broader Christian community. What I’ve loved about tools like YouVersion and projects like The Chosen is the intentional collaboration among the various Christian traditions. Their commitment to presenting Scripture and faith in ways that unite rather than divide has allowed them to become resources for the whole Church. Manna has that same potential—truly. I would love to see future updates take into account verses or doctrinal questions that are understood differently across denominations, and perhaps invite input from Orthodox, Catholic, and other Christian educators. I think doing so would not only enrich the content but also open the door for wider adoption across schools, parishes, and youth ministries of many backgrounds. AI PrayerIt gives the option of AI making a prayer for you. Although it can be very helpful for someone just starting out in their walk, I feel that it would be more helpful if it was a guided prayer. Like when Jesus teaches the disciples how to pray. I feel that AI creating a prayer kinda takes away the intimacy and makes it less authentic from the person praying. Praying should reflect a part of our relationship with God. AI takes that away. With that being said, this app is really fun. I enjoy Duolingo a lot and this app being pretty similar but for the Bible is fun! Many of the features on it are great and engaging. Good but makes me uneasyThere are several things I genuinely like about it. I think the concept is creative, I like that the lamb grows as you spend time in Scripture, I like the ability to invite friends and the option for devotionals. However, there are also some aspects that made me uncomfortable and caused me to question whether I could recommend this app to others. The comments made by the lamb feel inappropriate at times. Being called “master,” along with phrases like “Even lambs rest, master,” or “Don’t worry, master, I notice every little thing you do,” feels strange and unnecessary. There are also a few theological concerns. After completing a lesson, I received a message suggesting that my actions made angels happy. While I understand the intent, this didn’t feel biblically grounded and the way it was presented and made me uncomfortable. When I asked the chatbot about this and it referenced Luke 15:10, but it pulled the verse out of context which is a major problem for Christians trying to understand the Bible Overall, I think the idea behind this app is strong and there are features I really appreciate. I have been waiting for this!!I have been waiting for so long for an app like Duolingo but the Bible! I love the idea so much I’m glad that someone able finally did it. Thank you! I would like actual scripture reading as an option instead of only the summary. I like and appreciate the summary but the actual scripture as an option in the lesson would be a good idea. Recent prayer changeThis would be a four or five star review. I love everything about the app, except the locked prayer part. That will be the only part I address in this review. The prayer system **was** free. By typing in a short prompt, it would quickly generate a AI prayer with an AI voiceover. The voices were annoying to me so I muted my phone and used what it generated as guidance. One of my generated prayers was framed like this: A prayer for clarity in arguments and conflicts “Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you seeking your divine wisdom and clarity in the midst of our arguments and conflicts. We acknowledge that we often struggle to see your truth and understanding in difficult situations. Grant us the ability to communicate with love and patience, listening to one another with open hearts. Help us to find common ground and resolve our differences in a way that honors you. May your Spirit guide our thoughts and words, leading us toward reconciliation and peace. Let us remember that we are called to be peacemakers, reflecting your love in all our interactions. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.” As you can see, this is quite impersonal and has a clear AI hint to it. But I used it solely to fulfill the daily goal. It would automatically save your generated prayers so you could use them again in the future. Now, however, this entire feature is paywalled. If the paywall solely blocked the AI-generated parts (voice and text), I wouldn’t mind and—in fact—prefer it. However, now I cannot even log a prayer of my own and write down my own thoughts. Absolutely love it!This app made me realize how distant and shallow my faith has been in God. Sure, I pray and everything, but I feel like that’s not enough. This app allows me to learn more about our Heavenly Father and get closer to Him. Sure, I’ve only had this app for a couple of days, but already it has changed my perspective completely. Awesome app but some flaws.I really like this app. It teaches the Bible/gospel in good summaries and has a nice concept to it. I do wish it would explain a few more details from some of the stories. I also dislike the way that the pictures in the reading is all AI generated. Quite sad. But I do like that you can ask AI some questions. Hopefully they are accurate. I wouldn’t know because I haven’t used the feature and you only get 3 uses before you have to pay for it. I also think there should be more hearts as well. Just because we make mistakes and I think it’s good to learn from them and have more attempt than just 3. Great AppThis app is very easy to use! It asks you a few questions when you start to get to know how your journey has been and how you want to grow with God. Then it is set up similar to Duolingo where you have daily tasks, you read a chapter or a few and answer some questions and end in a prayer. I love this app especially for beginners because as a beginner myself this app has made understanding the Word so much easier. I can’t wait to see where I can go from here. Love it!I love this app and what it means. It helps me grow closer to God not only daily but in a comfortable and accessible way. Sometimes The Bible can be a little overwhelming but this app helps you read scripture if you don’t know where to start. Not only that but it helps you understand the message and true context of the chapters. If I had one thing to add it would be, a free interactive feature; one where you can write about the chapter,what it made you feel, and realize. Five star app when learning about God!I started this app yesterday because it was recommended by a friend. I thought it was cool so I downloaded it. I have legitimately spend 6-7 hrs on this and I just got it. It makes learning about god entertaining and holds your attention. Question of celebration of “Halloween”I started this app to have a interactive experience with God. But I saw a recent ad you guys have about celebrating Halloween when we as Christian are supposed to celebrate Halloween began it is a pagan holiday and you app provides scripture for that. I think developers should meet with the marketing and design developers about not celebrating Halloween based on this is a Christian app. Halloween is a day where witch’s and warlocks prey on the children of God and others to cast spells. Amazing app✝️I love this so much, I saw people talking about this on TikTok and gave it a try, I just completed my first lesson with the John 1-2 story, im a Christian teen and I feel guilty and lukewarm at times because I feel as though I’m not doing enough with my relationship with God. My family doesn’t go to church but I know that’s no excuse, still as bad as it may sound I can’t keep my attention on traditional things. Good app, a few things need to be fixed..This is a really good app! It helps me understand and learn more about God. However, I don’t like that we only get 3 hearts. I think the hearts aren’t necessary because we should be able to learn from our mistakes instead of being limited. I also don’t like that once you run out of hearts, you can’t do any more lessons unless you pay or wait around 12 hours. Has amazing potentialSo I just started this and I haven’t tried everything, but I am loving this app so far. It has you read scripture, then there’s something telling you the context and bringing the chapter/section into clear view, then it asks you questions so the knowledge is tested immediately and you’re more likely to remember, then there’s a small prayer. I can’t wait to continue this. I hope you can go back and re-test your knowledge like with spaced repetition. And I can’t wait until they release skins for your lamb. Great app but…This is an amazing app and has helped me get closer to God day by day. Although I do wish there was more ways to get hearts instead of having to wait 11 hours for the next ONE heart. Also For this app to be Christ based why does the llama or what ever the mascot is have burning eyes? Good product, could use tweaksI just want to say this is a really great concept and idea, however the execution could’ve been better. For instance, mostly everything in the app is AI which I don’t not like. A great thing that could be added is just 2 voice actors, a female and male, to read the scripture to you. The AI chat is great, if I have a question I can easily ask it and it answers. I really like that. Another thing that can be added, which I know is in the works, is more Bible translations. LOVELY!!Love love love this app! My only complaint though is that this app is still in development and does not have the version I usually read. Another thing that would be cool is choosing which book you want to start at for your pathway. It automatically starts you at John (which is a good place to start) but it would have been better if I could have started someplace I chose to start at. Id like to worship in peaceYou cant do anything without paying money. This app is supposed to help learn about god and how to follow him but all ive learned is that i need to pay them to pray and ask questions. I love it!I truly love the Manna App and find that it has helped me in my all by keeping me accountable. I do wish they would fix the bread crumbs. After each lesson, you get some bread crumbs to be able to buy things for your character but the total amount doesn’t work well. For example I could have 74 bread crumbs and after a lesson I should get 17 more. In total, I should have 91 but the app will drop it randomly to like 67. Good app though maybe consider these things!I think this app is overall amazing, it’s great for if you want to strengthen your faith. The only thing is that if you run out of you three hearts while doing a lesson, it doesn’t count as your streak, so you either have to buy more hearts, buy a streak freeze or loose your streak. I think that if you get through around half of the lesson and you loose all your hearts it should count as your streak. Also one of the questions answer was incorrect!! Super helpfulI usually don’t leave reviews on stuff but this is helping me a lot in my walk with Christ. I hope more people get this app as it is mostly free and explains the Bible. It’s an easy app to use and you can start on any book you’d like. It explains 2 chapters of any book, then it lets you test your knowledge on both the chapters, and finally it ends with a quick but strong prayer. How this helped meI’ve only been using this app for two days, but these two days have been great. GoodI am overall very pleased and impressed with the app. It has greatly aided in my journey so far. However, my only complaint is I wish it allowed you to choose where to start. I’ve been reading the bible front to back so I was hoping I could start the lessons in order, but it won’t let you do that unless you pay. I understand companies need to make money, but I feel like we should at least be able to choose where we start. Great idea, execution a little offI loveeeee the idea of this app and want to love it so badly. I’ve been a Christian for 14 years and have definitely had times where I struggled to read the Bible. This app seems perfect to motivate people to get into the word, however, I don’t think that a limit on hearts (on the free version) is a good way to make people want to continue to read the word, three hearts is not enough especially for a beginner that makes mistakes. Someone beginning to read the Bible could really benefit from this app and enjoy it, yet right when you start to enjoy it, if you make too many mistakes you can’t continue. Giving us ways to earn more hearts by reading or answering questions is an easy solution (Duolingo even does this). Also AI generated prayers are not something I support, prayers are something personal between us and God. Scripture is clear: “By grace you have been saved through faith… not of works.” (Ephesians 2:8–9) “To him who does not work but believes… his faith is counted as righteousness.” (Romans 4:5) Any Bible app especially one used by new believers… must be extremely careful not to introduce confusion about the gospel. ReviewSo I’ll start off with some good feedback. I’ll give it two stars and not one because It was a fun app, engaging, and helpful. However, I noticed something that didn’t sit well with me. Not for me because I am free from the religious spirit, but for others maybe not in that place yet. Missing important features; can be great with improvementI am okay with spending money for a beneficial biblical resource, but unfortunately this is missing a lot of key functions and things to smooth it over. 1. Sound effects and music, it needs to be more engaging. Being able to toggle this on or off should be a setting but if you’re going to include listening programs on your app, people cannot listen to background music to focus- it should be created for them. 2. Translations. If you only have 2 translations and that’s KJV or New American standard, those are not the best for study reference. NIV ESV or NASB are going to be the best to include right away 3. I didn’t find the programs engaging enough and the app itself did not provide intuitive use functions. It took awhile to open just one of the “story” options. I was disappointed with it just being audio reading at the beginning. I want to know God’s word better but I prefer reading vs. being read to.
