Great for trackingI think the app makes tracking very easy, but I wish there was an all/select multiple portfolios option. I have my different Pokémon card binders (separated by type and one for a living dex) put in as separate portfolios, and so the Sets & Series pack completion tracker doesn’t really work because it only looks at whichever one portfolio I have selected before entering that screen. It would be nice to toggle “all cards” for this feature. Additionally, the icons for the cards on the Collectibles page (which is misspelled as “Collectables”) are much too big only four cards fit on the screen at a time. Again, a toggle to make them smaller and just icons with no text would help this a lot. Not sending hate! Great app - but clearly needs more time to developI just recently downloaded HoloDex and I am enjoying how easy the app is to use. The scan feature to find cards and the ability to add any condition/grade to a card is something that sets it apart from a lot of other apps. A few negatives however: I purchased HoloDex pro, and no matter how hard I try, the highest the AI grader gave my card was a 9.4 (funny because it is slabbed as a PSA 10). The grader needs some sort of key. For instance: If the grader gives ~9, then psa would likely give a 10. And if the grader gives a perfect 10, then theoretically the card should be a BGS black label. We need some way of understanding how the AI grader translates into actual grades for each company. Another negative: I spoke about how great it is that you can add grades for your cards, and how you can also add conditions. The issue with this however, is the app’s database does not have prices for certain grades or cards. So all of the LP cards in my portfolio have TBD as their price. Also, for PSA 10 cards with low population, the price I put I paid for the card ended up being the market price on the app, not the real market price. Overall, HoloDex is an app with great potential, but it needs to update its databases and give clarity as to what its grades mean. If the developers care about the future of their app and keep updating it and its database, I don’t doubt that it can become one of the best card scanning and grading apps..Wingman122235467Version: 1.9.5

It’s great - Can improveThis app is great at finding cards with a quick scan and is really useful if you are buying, selling or trading cards because you can check the money. It also keeps a record of your cards and shows you the value increase which is also very very nice. One of the major issues is that if your card isn’t mint condition you won’t know the price… it says “TBD” so you don’t know the price of the card and this can also happen is ur card is a low PSA grading. I know that this could be fixed so please do because now I have to keep all my cards as mint condition even though some of them are not. Also the PSA grader just makes up longer card boarders for no reason. Fix that too. Other wise this app is great and I recommend..GaminKiddVersion: 1.9.4

Very good but we need more options in my opinionI'm a Holodex Pro user and I love using Holodex to track my cards and stuff like that. I love the ai grading and all the features, my only problems are that we don't have other languages other than English and Japanese. I'd love to have a way to track my collection of cards with languages like Korean or Chinese cards. I'd also love to have an option for Weiß Schwarz tcg because it's niche and has a very large amount of cards and sets like Pokémon tcg does. For example, there could be sets/series for Re:Zero, Hololive, and Project Sekai Weiß Schwarz card sets (Similar to how Pokémon tcg is sorted by sets like Sword and Shield, Sun and Moon, and the expansions). Fixed my gripeThe app for me works well- from scanning, stability, and market data upkeep- I previously did a 4-star with my problem being a lack of a report with the AI grading… and it was updated within a week to have this feature so that was nice. Now all that’s left is to possibly test with psa if the ai scanner is as accurate as it’s hoping to be. It seems pretty sharp tho- fresh pack openings I’ve only gotten 1 10 star out of 75 something grades with the rest being between 8-9.5 so hopefully some of these grades are true when truly graded.LebolaxVersion: 1.8

I love this tool but it has its flaws.I’ve been using HoloDex for about 3 days now and have loved the service. The only gripe with it is I’d buy a centering tool on the side and check the centering with that. I’ve scanned over 50 cards and ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ONE…. has a 9 for the centering. Now at first I was like okay, I guess since PSA changed regulation 60/40 is out the window…. So just for fun I scanned one of my slabbed cards that was a 10…. Wanna know what the centering got? An 8. Crazy. Besides that I feel like it does a great job on all other categories. Ps. Great - but Inaccurate Ratings on same cardScanned the same card twice. The first time, I selected the “Played or Used” option and received a 5.6. The second time, I selected “No Visible Damage” and received a 7.2. The card is clearly old and roughed up in some spots. Just worried that the final grade is relying too much on the condition we manually select, and not the actual card itself. Please add Chinese exclusives!I love the app for adding my cards to portfolios, but it would be great if you would add the Chinese exclusive Pokémon cards like how Collectr has them, but I got this app at a great buy for signing up, so that's why I switched over. Also, it is really annoying having to change the card's type when I try to collect it. For example: I find the card that says holofoil, but it comes up as "normal" anyway when I collect it, so I have to change it to a holofoil. Additional Languages neededIt’s actually a pretty decent app. A lot cleaner looking than some of the other apps online. My only gripe with it is that there is no Chinese language option. It would be nice if you could click on the [Eng] icon and switch it to different languages since I don’t think other apps have that. Honest reviewI like the app but from what i’ve seen is that when you decide to choose “no visible damage” and “spots/scratches” on the same card even if it doesn’t have anything, it gives a lower grade just because you set it up as damage or anything else even if it’s perfect. obviously the AI grading isn’t going to be 100% accurate but wouldn’t rely on it for grading.O2lilbiscuitVersion: 1.8

PLEASE DO NOT GET THIS IM GOING TO EXPLAIN WHY!!!!I got the app to see what grade I might get on my mega Charizard X ex and this card I got a few days ago it’s my first SIR ever! So I get the app expecting a nice “Hello, welcome to holo dex. Please log in if you already have account, please sign up if not! Thank you!” BUT NOPE ALL I GOT WAS A B-B-B IS FOR BORING OLD LOG IN AND SIGN UP BUTTON AND NOTHING ELSE!!! And then when I signed up for it I was immediately flash banged with 2 (yes 2 Im serious) monthly subscription. And when I clicked on the ai gradi- I mean ai cash grab tool I got a like 1 minute video not an add a VIDEO!! I couldn’t click out of the video! After that I was flash banged with the same thing as last time! And this is when I realized that you need the one of the subscriptions. So as a last ditch effort click the button at bottom middle of the screen (that button is the scanner to scan cards to a to a horrible card collection thing) I NEEDED A WHOLE ENTIRE TRIPOD JUST TO SCAN IT! Grading features behind paywallThe only reason I wanted to try this app was to see what it would grade some of my higher end cards at, but that feature is locked behind a (currently priced at a yearly fee of $35 but that was a 60% discount price) paywall. The “free” features of this app are literally just a pricing guide that honestly is outdated by what feels like a week or longer (which is a long time in card pricing) they don’t have sets that have come out within the last two months. The “free” features won’t let you check the price difference between first edition and unlimited which can be substantial for some cards. Also in order to filter a card based on its rarity you will have to pay for that as well. I would be more willing to try a membership if they gave me a chance to use the feature but given the rest of the app I don’t want to pay for an app that uses outdated information. The app doesn’t show all rarity versions of a card within one set only the cheapest option was shown so if you happened to have the $300 copy of the card it will show the $60 version as if it was the same thing..Up-all/knightVersion: 1.9.5

EhhThis app is honestly falling behind hard. The pricing is nowhere near accurate enough and updates way too slowly to be useful in a fast-moving market. Half the time the values are outdated before you even look at them. The AI grading is decent, but nothing revolutionary. A solid in-person grading tool or even an experienced collector can do just as well, if not better. The most frustrating part is that the app doesn’t even connect the grade it gave your card to the actual card in your portfolio. That completely defeats the purpose. What’s the point of using an AI grading feature if you can’t track, organize, or compare the grades within your own collection afterward? AI grading super inconsistentI like this app for the most part but the main problem is the AI grading for one it’s $7.99 to even use the feature that would be fine. If not for being super inconsistent I used it today to grade a one piece, uta alt art from eb03 and when I used this app to AI graded at GameStop with great lighting it gave the card a 9.7 then when I got home, I tried it again and the AI gave it a flat 9 grade. So I decided to grade it again so I put it on my bed and graded it and behold the card got a 9.5 grade. I did it one more time on my nightstand right under my light. And yet again, I’m getting 9. I wish the AI was better and more consistent because right now I feel that it’s definitely not worth the 7.99 price tag Every month. Rip offYou would think all you need to do is scan the card and then they give you a grade but no, that’s not the case .. It first asks you to scan a card because they want to know what year and a brand of the card before giving a grade. the problem is when you scan it to do that it says we can’t find the card and this is a newer card 2025 topps Chrome. Then they ask you to enter it manually. I entered exactly what the card is and they still can’t find the card in their system, so guess what you cannot get your card graded because their system can’t identify my card so therefore, we could not scan your card to get a grade . Terrible Centering MeasurementsReally wanted to like this app. It has excellent user interface and really gives off that professional grading vibe. Unfortunately, it incorrectly measures centering so badly that I found it to be unreliable. I used several other apps to measure centering including magnifying in to 20x and aligning the centering tools. Most of my cards are 48/52 or better. HoloDex consistently rated these cards as being outside 60/40 ratios. I tried re-grading the cards in the app and they kept coming back with centering issues that aren’t accurate. The ads lieAll the ads I see about this app say it’s an AI grading app. But it’s not it’s the same as TCG player and price charting. Except you have to pay for a membership to use most of the features. It says you have 35 free scans but the scans do not include AI grading- you HAVE to pay for it. I fell for it and paid for a month - instant regret after I tried grading. I took perfect photos of 5 cards in good lighting, I selected the right cards to grade, and AI told me my cards were fake and gave them 1s. It made up some BS about obvious wear and tear, BS about centering being significantly off, and tripled down on cards being fake with BS like “Charizard” being spelled wrong on the card, attacks being fake, and HP being incorrect. Unreliable and inconsistentThis application needs a lot of work. Scanning cards doesn't work 75% of the time. Then when you go back to correct your portfolio the card do not edit, or edit themselves to incorrect cards. I've made multiple portfolios and it has happened to each and every one. Searching is BrokenI was using this app to search for cards I want to add to my collection and it was working wonderfully, unfortunately something messed up (maybe new ai slop searching) and now if you type in Charcadet all of the Charmander line pops up or if you’ll looking for Clefairy, Clefable comes up as well. It renders the search essentially useless if the name is even vaguely similar to another, which is a shame because before the app was the best way to actually search cards for specific Pokémon but now it is horrid..GmcjhaVersion: 1.9.9

Wildly offCracked open previously graded cards and scanned them to see how close this would be. I noted all the flaws each grading company pointed out prior to starting the scan. On average it came back roughly one grade higher (if the card was an 8 it came back a 9) on the app. If I could give it half a star, I might. Not a good AI GraderAfter purchasing the month subscription I went and graded my cards, out of the 11 cards I graded 2 came back over a 9, specifically a 9.4 and 9.5….. I even tested a very bad condition card vs a really mint card and it gave them both 9’s even when one should’ve been a grade 6….. Works, cute but not accurateThe main reason I (or most) would pay for a subscription is to do so grading prior to think about submitting cards. The ads drew me in (good job marketing) What they don’t tell you 1. The grading process takes several minutes per card 2. That would be an issue if it was accurate. I graded the same card on the same background with the same lighting carful to have it centered and level each time. Got a different grade every time. Sign up troubleIn the sign up area where it ask for my email, full name and password. One of the worst appsI’m on an iPhone 17, this app is so frustratingly slow to track my cards. Not only does not add to your collection after you press collect it asks you to review the cards. Pressing collect is not immediate either there’s a lag so you could press the button a couple of times and end up duplicating.
