MUCH IMPROVED!I bought Strike Wing: Raptor Rising 7 years ago and gave it three stars at the time. There were many issues with that early version of the game. I’m happy to see that nearly all of those issues have been resolved. The controls are greatly improved although I wish that joystick was just a bit closer to the bottom left of the screen for smaller hands. That being said, this game has never looked or played better. I do have one issue with the rolling subtitles. Why are they rolling? Please just let the subtitles remain stationary so players won’t have to wait for them to roll around three or four times to read the very small text. Graphics are very nice, learning curve is modest, music is . . . adequate, replay value is very good. Thanks for the updates. Overall a four star rating from me..KeenEdge1Version: 1.6.0

This game is tight!Hey, man, if you like old school space combat dogfighting games like Freelancer, Freespace 2, TIE Fighter, and even newer incarnations like Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, etc., this game is legit. Yep, totally worth it. It’s basically the space combat part of Stellar Wanderer, without the wandering and trading. Cockpit space combat sim. The ships even get up close so you can see em. The only thing I’d recommend changing is PLEASE give us a STRAFING ability, to strafe left or right. Otherwise, yep, get this game..RocketpunkVersion: 1.5.1

SpacetasticThis is the pocket Wing Commander / X-Wing / Freespace / TIE Fighter game I wanted. Controls and enemy physics feel right, with enough inertia to seem like a space game but arcadey enough that you still have control over your ship. Touch and tilt controls are equally effective, depending on your dexterity and situation. The new mission modes provide the story structure that isn't strictly needed but make this feel more complete than the earlier versions of the game. It has in app purchases, but they're all optional, there are no nags, and extra purchases are not needed to progress and have fun. The developer has a bunch of tutorial videos and seems to understand what made the old space sims from the 1990s work well. The only thing that really bugs me? The tiny fonts are hard to read on the iPhone and should be changed (though they look great on the iPad)..JindoFoxVersion: 1.4

Great potential, but tons of bugsI've been playing up to level 18. It is a pretty good space shooter, but the bugs and constant crashing are very frustrating. The achievements do not work correctly and hinder progression. For instance, I've had the "Wolf Dancer" achievement for quite some time, but the goals keep saying that I still need that achievement to move on. The game also randomly crashes mid-mission when banking. It will simply freeze. I am playing on an iPad 2 mostly, but I've also had the same bugs appear on my iPhone 5s. SweeeeetSo basically I've been waiting for this game for a little while and it's pretty decent wich is why I give it five stars and because the graphics and how it's 3D make it realy nice, there are aome glitches but the game just came out so I'm not that worried. Cloud Save doesn't workWith the cloud save feature I was hoping to pick up where I left off from one device to the other. It doesn't work though. The game is pretty darn fun, but geez they are super styngie with the credits rewards. I only have 4 ships so far, and of those, it's all laser fire. I kind of expected something a bit more sophisticated than the same old stuff. My one shop that has missiles are dumb missiles. No tracking. Not a fan of that. X axis controls backwardsLooks great, but pretty much unplayable because x axis controls are the opposite of every other game ever made, ever (accelerometer). Option to invert Y, but not X. Cool game, poor MFi implementationI'll just list the issues with MFi support, hopefully they'll be noticed by the developer. 1.) There is no need to have simultaneous MFi and accelerometer controls. It makes it very difficult to play when you have to hold the controller perfectly still. It doesn't make sense. Give us an option to turn it off. 2.) When pressing R2 to fire, the ship also accelerates at the same time. This doesn't happen when using X to fire. The problem is not my controller (moga rebel) as it only happens in this game. 3.) Instead of using the second analog to slide (wth is that for anyway??), how about giving us the ability to rotate, so we have full control of our ship in 3D space? This is crescent moon?Try to play this with headphones and the new case on.
