Stick a pin in it, please!Update 2: According to the Primate Labs blog, they acquired Voodoo Pad from Plausible. Better yet, they appear to not be Plausible under a different name! I’m bumping up 2 stars to give Primate the benefit of the doubt and the app another shot. Thank you for rescuing it from being chained up and ignored in the backyard of Plausible. Update: Guess what? The TouchID bug "fix" is no fix at all. I just enabled TouchID and can no longer get into the app. Wow, how lame are these developers?!?! I keep trying the Mac version periodically before spending $40 to see if the sync gets fixed. Never does. Both the Mac and iOS versions are the same version (5.1.4) and are set to sync via Dropbox. EVERY TIME they sync data gets deleted, replaced by "Write about __ here," with "__" being the title of your note which VP just deleted. Plausible: Please sell this app back to Flying Meat - you guys have destroyed what was a good app, killed whatever reputation it had when FM owned it, and made yourselves look like..., I don't know, but not competent developers. I wouldn't look twice at whatever else it is you develop..Version: 5.2.1

Won't link to DropboxLove VDP on the Desktop but, like others, do most of my research/reading/idea finding on my devices. If not for support's very nice attempt to help this app would get one star. It's is a cruel tease. I want it to work so badly I have wasted many hours to no avail, despite a few detailed exchanges with support. I'm glad to see others had the same problem bc it seemed like I was the only one who can't sync over Dropbox--even after combing through sync logs..Version: 2.0.7

Still the best Wiki making app (and it just got better)Nice and important update from Primal Labs! Thank you for adding Rich Text editing from my phone and iPad. Very nice interface changes too that feel more polished. This app now works very well with my MacBook and my portable devices and is back "front and center " in my workflow. If you're looking at gathering data, in a format that lends itself to linking and organizing as a wiki, this is the best!.Version: 5.2.0

Getting there!I can *finally* go back to using VoodooPad as my primary app for notes, now that the iOS app is much better at syncing and editing. All I need to add that last star is a “home” button and better support for images. Thank you!.Version: 5.2.1

It works, but ...I used to miss the ability to edit rich text with this, but now I don't really care. Much more important is the absence of anything better than copy and paste for moving material in and out of this app. I do hope that's on the way soon because I am using this app to gather and interlink a bunch of text notes. It works really well for that in conjunction with its big brother on the Mac, which has tagging, etc. Unfortunately, no tags on this iOS version, but it does have a nice search engine. A post on the developers' website called "Plausible 2.0" makes me hope that this app will start growing. When it first came on the market, it was basically just something barebones for when one had to use an iOS device. But these days it is possible to get a lot of real work done in iOS, and it's time for this app to enter that world, if incrementally..Version: 2.0.8

Hoping for great things! The original, desktop version of VoodooPad was my go-to, all-purpose note keeping and info-saving tool for many years. It's elegant, functional, and cool. Since I've been working mostly on the iPad lately, I've been missing the power and utility of the desktop app. To date, the iOS version has seemed crippled by comparison. I'm hopeful now that this will change under Plausible's ownership. There's no reason this app can't become as great as its older cousin. So here's hoping for great things in 2014!.Version: 2.0.7

Love this app butI use this app a lot on my iPad pro and, for the most part, I love it. It desperately needs the split view functionality. Aliases would also make this a 5 star app for me..Version: 5.1.4

Worth every penny, and then over again. This app (and it's desktop counterpart) saw me through undergrad and law school. I use it for anything more complicated than a single text file..Version: 2.0.7

Great Companion AppVP for iOS is good as a stand alone app but is fantastic as a companion app to the desktop version. It is great as an searchable information repository. You have control of your information and can sync through Dropbox. Great app, looking forward to further development..Version: 2.0.7

Not worth the priceI heard good things about this app and since I don't know anything about the wiki markup language, it seemed like the way to go. And that much is true, it's very simple to use as a novice, but the total lack of features makes this app a rip off at $10. Something like this shouldn't be priced at more than a couple of dollars. The app literally only allows you to write plain text documents and link to other pages within the app. The sample pictures would lead you to believe that you can do some formatting and add images, but this is not the case. You can't even link to anything outside of the app. This app might be useful as a personal wiki (provided that you don't want to do anything as ambitious as, say, create a Christmas shopping list with images of decor or gift ideas or links to shops), but I couldn't see it being effective in most real world applications. For $10 I'd expect to be able to do at least some basic formatting like bold text, bullet lists, and adjustable font sizes. There should also be, at a bare minimum, the ability to add images, link to external URLs, create footnotes and citations, and the other basic features you'd find on literally any wiki you've ever seen. This app really feels like a light version of the real thing minus a few annoying ads. But even if I used the desktop version of the same program (and I don't), it's only a glorified reader because the first time you try to format existing notes you will lose all formatting and images you've added. I think this app serves a function, but it's not a function that's worth $10. Do some research before you commit to buying this app..Version: 2.0.7

It's alive! So happy to see an update and visual refresh!.Version: 2.0.8

Newest version syncs great between iPhone and Mac OS XGreat app.Version: 5.1.4

Best Personal Wiki-enhances creativity!VooDooPad is a must have for creative people! If you are trying to collect anything unstructured, you want VooDoo. You can collect and manage creative thought without constraining the idea factory. Not to mention, you can take it anywhere you go. Here are ways I use VooDooPad: 1. Collecting and maturing writing ideas on character profiles, plots, settings, individual scenes, and research all in the same document and let it grow without being constrained by an artificial format. Super handy since it’s syncs across devices, so I don’t have to worry about losing an idea if the idea-lighting strikes while I’m on the go. 2. Sifting through large amounts of geneology information. I abstract it into a links, which are easier to sort, shuffle and reshuffle, letting me spend more time on the material and less on the tool mechanics! 3. Worlds best recipe organizer. Index page has categories, which blend to sub-categories. Actual recipes are only written once, but appear multiple places. For example: Grandma’s Raw Cranberry Salad shows up on the Holiday recipes, gluten free recipes and salads. Then I need to reference it, it’s handy on my computer, my iPhone or my ipad. Friends at work ask for a recipe, Cut, paste, email. 4. Collection of knitting patterns…all handy on my phone. Found a cool pattern in a magazine, just take a picture and insert the jpeg! No matter where I go, I can take my knitting with out lugging along the pattern to get all wrinkled, torn or lost. Even better, I can share via Cut and paste into email. Thanks VooDooPad!.Version: 2.0.8

Good logoGood update.Version: 5.1.5

Good updateI have been meaning to write this for a while. The last update for the pad has been really good. The rich text file support now syncs and displays the iPad version..Version: 2.0.9

Simple, personal wikiMy most essential app for notes, other than the Notes app. If you need to organise a lot of information in a clear and easy way, check it out. Genuinely looking forward to the new version and many more years of use..Version: 5.3.0
