DEALS! STEALS AND EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINKI have been a customer on this app for probably 3 years. I had no issues at first and then covid happened and I moved unexpectedly and somehow I never got 4 items. Defiantly no ones fault just crazy times. I recently started making purchases again and over all I’m happy just about every time. Granted I do my research. Once I find something I like or if I came looking for something specific I will look for seller with the most sales and positive feedback. I will not purchase for a seller with less than 500 sales but prefer over 1000. It’s hard I would really love to support new shops but there’s so many on this app and generally anyone who has issues it’s with a new seller. Someone’s you’ll 1 or 2 reviews for a new seller and their mind blowing amazing. DO NOT BE FOOLED! It’s not that hard to have your loved one your even yourself purchase something and leave a review. The one thing negative I will say is when I have had issues something the communication between my self and the seller is Difficult because the language barrier and also because how things are Done in the US as far as shipping compared to overseas is a lot different. UnacceptableSo I’m knew you this site ordering that is I’ve done research before I ordered and I ordered from a good quality store with good ratings all that so I purchased a pair of sneakers that I’ve wanted for some time now so about 1wk after I paid for the product I got a message from seller saying he’s bagging up my product,3wks after I ordered my sneakers I get a message saying that the package has been received lol I was tracking it the whole time the package hadn’t even hit American soil yet so the last day as it arrived in my town small of course we all know each other I watched the mailman get out his vehicle and put a package in my small mailbox I knew right than that I’d been had yup I go to the mailbox pull out the package and yup wasn’t a pair of size 13 sneakers at all nope a small pair of socks trash at that my 8yr old daughter wore them for 2hrs before they shredded up the seller agreed to refund me. My argument is why harass me saying the package was received when it had not than send me a pair of socks really . I was impressed at first…..I really want to give this app a good review. I have ordered several products from them and even if they have taken longer than that app that starts with W I’m trying not to judge everyone because a couple of sellers have been extremely slow. But I have been having trouble getting my orders lately and I don’t like that at all. I’d give them higher reviews but I’ve had trouble getting sellers to communicate with about orders though I’ve had items break and I have worked with awesome sellers who took care of me absolutely above and beyond. So I’m neutral. I’m waiting for an order I placed over 2 months ago now that got returned to them by US Customs and they resent it and now it’s sitting in a sorting center in Dongguan City and the seller hasn’t replied to anything. Style selection sectionOk, here is my problem with dh gate. I can’t see what I’m ordering. For example, I find a backpack I want. I want it in black. I go to the section where u choose what color u want. The squares are so tiny I can’t tell which one is black for sure. I click on the tiny picture to make sure. The only thing that comes up is the front page picture. So I get off of that and tap on the one I think is the black one, and put it in my shopping cart. I go to my shopping cart to see. The only picture showing up in the shopping cart is that same front page photo. It doesn’t say anywhere visible what color I’m getting. So I back out of buying it. Edit January 2019- the above issue has still not been resolved. Also, I have to say, the banners that come up when you click on an item to view that says “an order was made from Spain 2 seconds ago”, “an order was made from Italy 6 seconds ago”, are not only annoying, but they’re totally bogus. You can click on something that says it’s sold out, and the same banners will pop up. How are these orders being made on a sold out item? It won’t let me order it, how did they just order it 2 seconds ago? And it will keep doing it. You move on, then return to the same sold out item, and more banners pop up announcing sold, sold, sold, again. Lol. The app needs work. It could be more user friendly. I would recommend it to people who are internet savvy and on account of their good judgement have never been scammed. Review from a very picky personI have purchased a few items recently off of this site and most of the feedback has been great. Some of the communication between sellers is a little off but for the most part everything is good you just have to make sure you read the reviews of the product what’s good what’s badto make sure you’re getting the right type of product if you see a lot of complaints don’t buy the product but if there’s mostly good feedback and specially pictures, then you usually are in good shape. Sometimes delivery takes a little while but it is coming from a different country so you gotta keep that in mind and also the DHgate tracking system can be off sometimes just for that reason that it’s coming from another country but as long as you do your homework, read the reviews try and make sure those pictures or videos you shouldn’t be let down for the most part you do have to watch. Sometimes the sellers will try and contact you on WhatsApp off of the Dhgate platform. I’ve had a transaction with one of them and everything went smoothly but I would just advise a lot of caution because you could get scammed and there would be no way of getting your money back because you didn’t do it on DH gates website, so just be on the lookout for things like that otherwise, as long as you do your homework and look at your reviews thoroughly, you should be good to go. Shipping?At first I really enjoyed this site. I received products that were top notch, they were all high quality items and I was impressed at how fast delivery was. I moved from my apartment to a house and set up mail forwarding for any mail that might have been delivered to my old address so I would receive it at my new address. Well some items I got from this site were delivered to my old apt and the mail or or type of postage used dose not qualify for mail forwarding for what ever reason. I wasn’t even aware there was such a thing but instead of forwarding the items I ordered they disposed of them. I had well over $600 worth of clothing ,shoes, knives all of it was not delivered to me it was confiscated by usps and supposedly thrown away. TrustworthyI recently made purchases on AliExpress and DHGate and ran into problems with both. The difference between the 2 websites is that I lost $130 with AliExpress and was never sent the product. Their site is infested with highly skilled scam artists that are impossible to spot when placing an order. So be very careful placing orders with them because if you do get ripped off, Customer Service will not help you. With DHGate, the seller sent me the wrong size item which makes it useless to me. The seller did not want to refund but DHGate stepped in and protected me by providing a full refund as well as allowing me to keep the item. I have never had a problem with DHGate that didn’t end in my favor. They are far more trustworthy and you can shop without concern. I can’t say the same about AliExpress. They aren’t even trying to investigate the guy scamming all of their customers, he continues to use their platform to steal thousands of dollars from their customers without fear of prosecution or even worry about getting kicked off the site. Beware!I’ve purchased over 40 items on this app. And it’s a big hit or miss. There are some great products but also some big fails. The customer service is non existent. So when it’s good, it’s good and when it’s bad it’s reallly bad. What I mean is if you get an item you’re happy with it makes you excited to buy more and you feel safe to do so. But when you get an item that has any issue at all they usually deny fixing the issue and keep your money. Customer service always sides with the seller!! They don’t care about you I promise you it’s happened to me about 5 times. And I’m pretty reasonable I only asked for help when something is a real problem. Customer service doesn’t answer you or get back to you when it’s a seller/ order issue it’s a set up they let the seller decide how to treat you which they always choose to keep your money. I wanted to love this app, but the scam practices are sad. Sellers lie and say they shipped your order already if you canceled it before they actually shipped it happened to me 3 times. Most of these people are thieves and it’s disgusting. I got some good finds after buying 40 things I’d say 50% were really good but it’s a lot of bad sellers and such a gamble. Be cautious. I say get one item that you really have your eye on after lots of research but not a trustworthy enough marketplace for continuous purchases i tested it out pretty thoroughly and wanted this to be my go to but they give you major trust issues for sure. Scam, misleading prices, seller will call and threaten youThe seller has had a reputation of contacting people off-line regarding items that are fake and not the original wanting you to buy through WhatsApp. Also, purchased many items spending a lot of money with them and because The seller said it was the wrong price because I got a good deal and I paid what he thought not enough for the items he threatened me many times to return the items and that I should cancel my order which I had already paid for and was waiting for the items to be shipped. Nevertheless, he contacted my credit card and somehow canceled my order saying that it was no longer available or gave them some excuse that they were not doing business, DH canceled the delivery and was horrible to deal with. Dh sells to who they want and if they believe that you are buying too many other items at a good price they will cancel your order even if you’ve paid. Also, please do not buy thinking that you’re buying authenticated luxury items of course you know that they’re fake and they’re not supposed to be selling fake items however if they can’t sell it on DHgate they will contact you through WhatsApp and ask you to buy through the third-party seller which is illegal. Paid for expedited, never received the item.I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed with the company. I ordered a Wallet back in November 2022. I even paid for expedited shipping. I was supposed to receive the item during Christmas but never did. It wasn’t until the second week of January, I emailed them and asked them where my item was. They said it had landed at my apartment. I then went through every mailbox and every team lead to see if they received it they said no. The seller tells me to go to the post office. I go to the post office, show them my tracking number, and they said that tracking number does not exist. I’ve then sent them another confirmation number, and they said that item was never scanned in, but it does exist in the system, but we do not have a location of it. I was then told by my seller that I have to travel to Louisiana or to California to pick up the item. I asked if there would be a fee for replacement and they said it would be a fee of $20. I already spent $45 not only on the item but the expedited shipping as well. After going back-and-forth with the seller for about two months I finally gave up and asked for my refund. They can only give me a refund of $20 instead of the original 45 like I had paid back in November. Terrible Dispute Process; seller does not respondI made a purchase on May 8, 2022. I waited three weeks to start contacting the seller about tracking information because I purchased from other sellers two times before this incident. It took the seller over a week to even respond with tracking information. And this is where the nonsense started. Today is August 17, 2022 and I still have not received my package from a purchase in May. I have tried contacting the seller and the seller just sends those automatic responses about being jet lag because of the time difference, but never provides a response to my inquiries. I filed three dispute cases with DH Gate and they keep closing my claims without a resolution. They are claiming that they have been trying to contact me, but that isn’t true. I monitor my emails daily and they stopped responding to the emails that I have been sending to track my package. Buyer BewareI have about 25 orders that I can no longer see, nor track. Orders I have paid for, hundreds of dollars worth, and they are kindly ignoring me. I attempted to use a new credit card, two new cards, two times in a row. The first card declined because the bank was concerned it was a fraudulent purchase. The second card did the same thing for the same reason. While I was telling the banks that no, it was me and please allow the charges, the powers that be “restricted” my account for “breaking the platform guidelines”. This was a week and a half ago. Since then I can no longer access my account in any way. All the other orders that I already paid for, I have no idea where they are. The ‘man’ has also blocked and cancelled any attempt I have made to set up a new account, I have no idea if my prior orders are still in the process of shipping, canceled, or pending because I can’t access anything. I have opened at least 4 “tickets” that give a one day turn around time, nothing. I have only been able to live chat with customer service once, she opened the first ticket. The other 3 tickets I have opened when attempting to live chat and being advised they are too busy and I should open another ticket. Not trustworthyI had been a good customer and very considerate with so many sellers who had sent me poor quality and false advertised products. I just wanted to help them not to lose their business. This one sellerSo overall I love DHgate. I’ve been using them for a few years now. So here’s the issue. I purchase a pair of sneakers for my husband in March and they were sent to an address in California and I live in New Jersey. So now here comes June I’m waiting on the second pair. I check the tracking and now this pair has been sent to an address in Texas. Horrible first purchaseThe seller sent me a damaged decorative Rolex gift box set. It had ZERO packing material so it was completely mangled and smashed when it arrived. Then the wrist watch I bought worked for about ten hours and completely STOPPED. In my attempts to wind the watch with the crown it sounded like it was filled with beach sand. So it was junk from day one. I filed a dispute with a 55 second video link to Dropbox as the DHgate agent asked for. I had ten or more pictures of all of the other damage. DHgate refunded me…supposedly…$10 but I never saw that. They told me they couldn’t open my video link. DHgate written policy states if they needed more evidence they would ask the buyer to provide it. NOPE, they just closed the dispute. 20 emails to the dispute agent with no reply. Emailed my situation in great detail to the listed contact information for the head of the dispute department at least 10 times and still haven’t received a reply. The link to Dropbox works great from every device I own. It works for friends that I’ve instant messaged it to. It works for another friend on their email account and a burner account of my own. Needs improvementsSome of the goods sold on the app are great - some not so much - but that is normal, you will always have hit or miss products. The issue I have with this app is with the blatant lack of communication to buyers. Sellers mark items as shipped however they don’t ship the items until weeks later. The tracking information is rarely correct. If the item has a defect or not what you expected you are basically just out of luck - no customer service really, and it’s very very difficult to dispute and get your money back. Everything takes so long - shipping, communication, disputes, etc. Contacting sellers results in very generic messages back - “dont worry everything is fine, you will get your item, there are no issues”, etc. I wish they would take a look at AliExpress which really tracks the items and actually refunds you if there are late shipments or issues with the order. Ordering from DHGate is really a blind toss in the dark, you might get a great product in two months or you might get something terrible/mediorcre. My orders from two different stores with DHGateI have always loved DHGate until now but I messaged both stores & asked them both how long it would take for me to receive shirts before I placed my order. The reason I asked was because I needed a close estimation date, I had customers needed the shirts & wanting to place an order through my shop. Worst company to purchase fromThey advertise coupons that are nearly impossible to use. They have no way of calling to contact anyone for help - they only communicate through chat, which by the way is a robot chat. I purchased an order which was a significant amount and was never given the option to use the new buyer coupon pack which my order would have qualified for. Unsafe BusinessDH Gate is a very risky company to do business with in general. 50% of the items I have purchased have been terrible in quality and not useable. The most expensive item I purchased was $300. It was a guitar that literally had parts screwed on crooked and was unplayable. The return process is very complicated and takes months. They offer you a partial refund to keep the item and not return it. They also force you to pay return shipping to only be given store credit for if they reimburse you. Return shipping for this guitar was $150 and there was no guarantee it could be tracked or would make it there. They made sure to explain errors with my customs forms or any loss during return shipping would be my responsibility and that no refund would be issued for such a loss. Then they told me it would be a terrible mistake to not accept the partial refund as many items are not making it back to China currently. So, if you buy something they will not stand behind the product and you cannot realistically return it. Keep that in mind and stay safe. Buyer BewareBeware purchasing on this app. Obviously, you get what you pay for, but I’ve had some really great experiences on here and some horrible ones. Unfortunately, when you do come across a seller who advertises their product less than honestly, DHGate’s Dispute Resolution Team is not helpful. I ordered a couple of jerseys that ended up looking like someone took a photo of a jersey, and screen printed it onto a tee-shirt. On one of the jerseys, the font didn’t match the MLS style, nor did it match the 2nd jersey that I ordered that it shipped with. That wasn’t really enough for the seller to refund, so I involved the resolution team. They ask for evidence of why you’re making this dispute, despite the fact that you’ve already sent multiple photos via multiple different channels. Then, they give you a choice of a couple of resolution options. However, if you’re not CONSTANTLY checking the DHGate App to see if they’ve contacted you, you will miss that notification — and you only have a couple of hours to respond with what choice you want before they pick for you. And if you have a question to clarify about those choices? They treat it like you didn’t respond, and go ahead and still choose the worst option. However, the seller messaged me a USPS tracking number and claimed that my package was delivered to my mailbox… my apartment doesn’t even have a mailbox so I know that this information is incorrect and I have most likely been scammed by the seller. This entire experience was very unprofessional, and I feel that DHgate is unreliable and untrustworthy. I tried to contact DHgate customer service for mediation, but received several notifications informing me that I had to wait several days to request mediation. To make matters worse, DHgate management had the audacity to email me and ask why I disputed the charges as “merchandise not received”. They even went as far as to say that they would compromise my account If I did not reply to their message. I informed DHgate management that the reason I disputed the charges is exactly what they have just stated, I never received the merchandise.
