The official Santander Cycles app from Transport for London is the only app to send bike release codes straight to your smartphone. So you can skip past the docking station terminal and get on your bike quicker.
You can also:
• See up-to-the-minute information about which docking stations have bikes and spaces available
• Plan a journey with an easy to follow map
• Receive notifications – for example, summarising the cost at the end of your hire
• View your recent journeys and charges
• Save your favourite docking stations
• Become a London Rider - complete challenges and hire cycles to earn entries into a weekly prize draw!
Each bike release code is valid for 10 minutes at your chosen docking station.
Please note the app doesn’t reserve bikes. If there are no bikes available at the docking station, don’t worry. Use the app to find a nearby docking station with bikes, and get another bike release code to use there. You won’t be charged until you use the release code.

Comment annuler l'abonnement à Santander Cycles ?
Ouvrez Réglages sur votre iPhone ou iPad, touchez votre identifiant Apple (votre nom) en haut, allez dans Abonnements, sélectionnez Santander Cycles dans la liste et appuyez sur Annuler l'abonnement. L'annulation prend effet à la fin de la période de facturation en cours ; vous pouvez continuer à utiliser l'application jusque-là. Comment supprimer l'application Santander Cycles ?
Maintenez appuyé l'icône de Santander Cycles sur l'écran d'accueil, choisissez Supprimer l'app puis Supprimer. Important : si vous avez un abonnement actif, il n'est pas annulé automatiquement lorsque vous supprimez l'app ; vous devez d'abord annuler l'abonnement en suivant les étapes ci-dessus.

Les cas de facturation ou de remboursement de Santander Cycles se signalent via Signaler un problème d'Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). I have been charged 4 times £2 as I was trying to create an account. Each time I tried there was an error message at the end of my registration and I was eventually unable to create an account, in addition to being charged £8 for nothing. I would like actions to be taken please. These transactions voided or a refund processed. Look forward to hearing from the customer service (I sent 3 emails and have been waiting on the phone for 25min to get an operator - to no avail).
App clearly not up to date, keeps freezing when the left handside of the app is used. Pls correct that and update the app!!
App never worked, took ages to create an account. Lost my time and afternoon, actions should be taken. Not worth the money. Bikes terminals don’t even work. Looking forward to another bike company.
The amount is withdrawn from the card, but it says payment unsuccessful....
The application is really basic, but how come you cannot favourite the stations you use the most ?! That should have been part of the minimum viable product for sure... As-is, it's not interesting enough to use. Even planning the journey was not giving a satisfactory result. That's a pity, the design overall is not bad, just the functionalities are lacklustre Please improve.
