Frontier Airlines Subscription, App Deletion & iOS Support

How do I cancel the Frontier Airlines subscription?

Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your Apple ID (your name) at the top, go to Subscriptions, select Frontier Airlines from the list and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you can keep using the app until then. See Apple's official subscription management page for details.

How do I delete the Frontier Airlines app?

Touch and hold the Frontier Airlines icon on the Home Screen, choose Remove App and then Delete App. Important: if you have an active subscription, deleting the app does not cancel it automatically - you must first cancel your subscription using the steps above.

Absolutely horrific customer service!

Was on the chat line for almost 2 hours… Because of course now you can’t even use a phone number to speak to an actual person. Two people on the other end could not figure out why I couldn’t check in for my flight tomorrow. And it showed that frontier owed me $39. And they also had me in the wrong seat in the middle of some people. They don’t have me sitting with my cousin, and I paid for my seat! Long story short, I was the one who figured out the problem and changed my seat to an aisle seat the $39 refund came off and the money part was rectified and I was able to check in on my I’ll seat, ON MY OWN!!!! I have been a den member since 2014 and advocated for Frontier….well, NO MORE! SIMPLY AWFUL NOT BEING ABLE TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE ON THE PHONE. And all of this because the flight that we took to Florida was canceled and we had to change the flight back as well! I also spent over two hours on the chat line yesterday trying to understand why a $50 certificate given to us for compensation for the canceled flight can only be used towards the base fare which of course was only $10! And you cannot save the remaining part of the certificate it must be used at one time. I now believe that frontier airline should be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

Only a 5 star so more people can see how bad it is! Absolutely terrible!

Never fly Frontier, they have the absolute worst customer service and the app gave us an error which took about 30-45 mins in line to fix. Then, we had to go back through bag check and get our boarding passes, taking a total of around an hour and a half just to get our bags checked! Then, when trying to board our plane, they said the tennis rackets we were carrying were not personal items!! It was 2 tennis rackets in a bag, but because it was just a little too long they didn’t allow it, even though it is maybe 3 inches thick at max and couple feet long, it barely didn’t fit inside of the personal item check. Then, they charged us 100$ for the carry on! If I knew it wasn’t considered a personal item I probably would’ve just brought my big tennis bag instead of my small one. Frontier is hands down the absolute worst company i have ever had the displeasure of flying with. I would not recommend this airline to any person, as it is all trouble and a pain.

App changes NEEDED ASAP

The recent App update has two serious problems. Designers implemented a san-serif typeface so the number “1” looks exactly like a capital letter ”i” or “I”. This creates a LOT of confusion and frustration with Confirmation Codes. Since users can’t cut-and-paste directly from the app, we’re stuck with taking screenshots-shots and then using OCR to get info to add to calendars. Yes, there should be an “add to calendar function”, but since that’s lacking, we’re stuck with manual cut and paste. The second problem is mind blowing! There is NO filter for a NON-STOP flight option. Users have to open each days’ flight options to find prices. The featured price is often for inconvenient connections. Searching for the best priced flights has turned into a time-sucking nightmare. Time and again I try to get the desktop website on my phone but Frontier tech wizards have made it impossible. I don’t fly a lot, maybe 2-4x a month, but the current app is a miserable experience for loyalty passengers.

Really good experience

Okay so yes we all no your not going to get an out of this world experience in hospitality with frontier but you cant say they dont have a skilled team. My family and i just came back from a one day trip to Orlando from philly. Yep we got on the plane from philly at 5 am this morning and hopped on one back at 7:19 tn.. Well it almost didnt happen because of inclement weather back in philly on the way home. Im not even kidding every other flight at the Orlando airport was either delayed or cancelled but ours was not. now is that the smartest decision you might ask... idk but let me tell you besides a bit of turbulence (which the pilots obviously cant control the weather that would happen on any airlines) the pilot had the smoothest landing I have ever experienced in all of my flights. There has been some horror stories with flights recently and although frontier may lack in a bit of class they have never not goten me somewhere safely. I will always fly frontier

Why is it glitching out!!!!!

I usually don’t have any issues with the app. Especially compared to other airlines, yet this past week Oct 20th, I’ve had to login via the website because the app keeps crashing. I called the 800 number to let them know, as this has been going on since Monday. To not avail, it hasn’t been fixed. I’ve had to go to the counter to retrieve my tickets. This is an inconvenience, as I have clear & TSA & I enjoy utilizing my mobile device to have my tickets handy. Fast forward to today Sat Oct 23, I’m trying to purchase 2 flights on the app. I get all the way to the payment only for it to glitch, close and completely log me out. I try it again. This time I can’t login it keeps glitching out. What’s really going on, help paying customers out. I’m not just casually scrolling and gazing, I’m trying to make a purchase. Please fix this as of now this exact moment 7:24 MTN time on Oct 23rd it’s not sufficient or operable.

Slowest Most aggravating website

I timed out. It would not complete the sale so I finally started over. That time it kept saying I was not putting my password in correctly. I have facial recognition and I had just used it successfully. Got a temporary password and it wouldn’t take the copied and pasted temporary password. Got a second temporary password. Would not take a new reset password. Tried 3 passwords before it would take one that was only a slight different from the first two. Finally in. This time it said I needed to pay for a new discount den. I finally just paid it. If I needed to renew Discount Den, why didn’t it tell me that the first time? I think this airline is a rip off and in the past when I have called for assistance I have only gotten a run around. This time I would have given up and gone elsewhere but I had already invested so much time, literally hours, to get when I needed to fly. I will be checking other airlines and if I can fly on another airline I will.

Hi ! The app is much better to navigate than their website so I recommend this much more if you’re flying soon and need to check in, etc. Just make sure you type in the right confirmation code ! The flight was so smooth and easy. I thought it was going to be sketchy because it’s such cheap airfare but the trip was so simple and easy and it was one of the more professional flights I’ve taken. The flight attendants were really prepared and kind. I recommend the app and flying with them within America :) happy flying !

First time using Frontier

Overall pleased with the airline however communication issues resulted in is missing our flight. We were originally supposed to leave at 8:00am on May 12th to Miami. The night before I received an email that the flight was delayed until 8:45. It turns out when we got to the airport the flight was actually on time and we arrived at 7:15 (due to our Uber driver being late, not the airlines faut).. however we would have made the flight rescheduled time. We were told we’d have to rebook.. the desk agent was not helpful at all. We ended up booking a flight on our own online to Fort Lauderdale, which should have been suggested to us as an option. While boarding our new flight, I received a messages that our original flight was delayed till 9am... so we would have been perfectly fine sticking to our original flight plan to Miami. Very confusing and frustrating as we spent unnecessary money. Once on the aircraft, flight staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Frontier app is very easy to use, looks great and functions very well. I downloaded, setup, and logged in right before I was able to check-in for my boarding passes, there was no hassle, the app responded perfectly and I now have my boarding passes ready to go directly on my phone. Bad customer service

I had a really bad experience with this airline. It is my first time flying with this airline. I arrived at the airport to check in my bag a hour before my flight to find out that it’s not open. There were a massive amount of people whom we were trying to get checked in. I called customer service only to be told that they are not responsible for checking in at the counter and that I should wait till whenever they staff show up at the counter. This is really bad customer service. I was in a connecting flight from SLC-PDX. The plane landed 20 minutes early only to wait inside the plane because the terminal was occupied. We waited more than 40 minutes before the announcement came that we would be changing gate. I was only late for my connecting flight only because I was just sitting on my seat, when I should have been waiting in my gate. I got in, the tall black guy that was at the gate, took my phone to scan my boarding, like where is personal space over here.. also I only had a personal bad, which was my laptop bag. It is really small and you see it clearly that is smaller that the actual size of the person bag requirement. He sent me over to measurements my personal bag when you can see it size very clear. I came back to enter the gate only for him to send me back to rescan my boarding pass. With him taking my phone in a rude way. I was like, you scan my boarding pass already and he replied it does not matter he also did the same thing to one of the elderly man that was behind me.

I'd rather select Spirit next time

This is a terrible airline—possibly the worst among U.S. domestic carriers. They go out of their way to charge for absolutely everything. 1. At the gate, passengers are often asked one by one to put their bags into the size checker, and if it’s even slightly oversized, you’ll be charged immediately—this happens frequently, even when the line is long. If you’ve prepared a small personal bag for items you need on board, they’ll still count it as an extra carry-on. 2. The system deliberately separates two people who book together but don’t pay extra for seat selection. I have flown with this airline three times, and each time my companion and I were seated apart. The most extreme case was being assigned 15B and 28C—even though we didn’t book late. I’ve also seen many couples placed in seats A and C in the same row (with me in seat B). When I asked them, they told me they booked earlier than I did, which shows that even with available seats, the system still prioritizes splitting them up. I see this as an insult to consumers. 3. The cabin crew keep interrupting you to ask, “Would you like to buy anything?” In a place where even water costs money, fine—I won’t buy—but can’t I at least have the right not to be disturbed? 4. Most of the staff have a bad attitude, as if they’re just going through the motions. They never say “please” or “thank you,” and their tone is almost always commanding.

NEVER USE APP OR THIS AIRLINE

Never again will we fly Frontier. Tried to check into our flights the day before leaving, the app wouldn’t allow it so we contacted Frontier Airline customer support. They told us this happens a lot, that the flight was still on and to show up to the airport at least 3 hours early to check in. We arrived to the airport and nobody was at the frontier desk. We were told by airport employees that the flight was still on and that frontier should be at the desk anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours before the flight. We were nervous so we began to contact Frontiers customer support. We waiting on hold until an hour and a half before the flight before being told by a frontier employee that the flight was canceled (months ago) but the day before was told it was still active and to come to the airport. When we became upset over this the frontier employee cancelled our flights on the spot, told us we couldn’t talk to a manager, informed us we were not getting our money back and hung up on us. This entire experience (our honeymoon) was then completely shifted because we needed to buy tickets that day at the airport (for a huge markup). Worst flying experience of our life. This is by far the worst airline, customer support, app, service you could use. Save yourself the headache, debt and stress. They will literally steal your money USE ANY OTHER AIRLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VIOLENT AIRLINE. A flight attendant put her hands on me while I was pregnant

The woman at the gate checking bags told me that my Carry on bag was too large on my return trip. The only reason that my carry-on bag was a little bit larger was because I bought three books at the airport. I told the flight attendant that I would take some stuff out of the bag and try again. She looked annoyed but said ok. When I tried to measure my bag again she snatched it from me. When I tried to reach for it she grabbed it and put it behind her. When I try to reach for it again she actually put her hands on me and told me that she would call TSA on me. I was pregnant at the time and do not appreciate her putting her hands on me then acting like I caused a problem? My husband was very upset. I walked away canceled my flight and had to do a layover in Orlando. I wasted $800 that day and will never associate with this airline again. I would like to press charges on that woman but I don’t remember her name. I tried to report her to Fromtier the week of the incident but their customer service is none existent. This is terrible service and I have heard no better stories from other people who have dealt with this airline. Save yourself the trouble and stick with spirit air if you’re looking for cheap flights. When my frontier flight was canceled I went to Delta and it was one of the best flights of my life. I now only fly Delta, American, or quick flights on spirit. PLUS THE SEATS WERE SOOOO UNCOMFORTABLE, worse than spirits!

Never Fly Frontier Again

Gave one star only because I wouldn’t be able to write a review otherwise it would have been ZERO stars. Booked a family trip for this past spring break, about a month before our trip I receive an email from Frontier saying they changed the flight times. I ended up canceling the trip because the change in times was going to conflict with my daughter’s job so she wasn’t going to be able to travel. They gave me a hard time about giving me a refund and kept insisting that they could only give me credit for the flights for another time. After a couple of hours of arguing with several people because they kept transferring my call around, I just accepted the credit. I then booked another family trip for this Christmas and New Year with that same credit. Well they did it to me again. Just this month I received an email from Frontier saying they changed the flight times, again conflicting with my daughter’s work schedule. I called again to ask for a refund just on her flight and they refused. Again said they could only give me credit. I told them I didn’t want credit because I will never use Frontier again after this. Again after a couple of hours of being transferred around they refused to give me a refund. So I will end up just taking the loss of $$ and will definitely never again fly with Frontier. Also, every time I called it was always people with a heavy Indian accent, really hard to communicate with them because it was very difficult to understand them and Vice versa ... **** NEVER EVER AGAIN ****

Worst airline ever!

So I fly out to Denver from Indianapolis pretty regularly to see my best friend. I’ve been using frontier the last couple years to do so. Well on march 3 I was supposed to be flying back into Indy and it was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at any airport ever! When I say It was like a scene from a movie I mean it. Our flight was delayed which was no big deal. Then when we finally boarded the boarding agents made 90% of us pay for our personal items which most I can’t say all but most of them fit In the slot. Well there were so many of us who had to step over and pay for personal bags that it took us over 90 to board the plane. When we finally boarded the plane and started to take off a man who was overly upset with the boarding agent decided he wasn’t going to fly anymore and wanted off the plane immediately! So we him off the plane and everything took so long that our flight crew timed out and we all had to get off the plane with no departure time. When we all went to customer service they directed us to the website and told us there was nothing they could do because it showed we had already boarded our flight. I asked for a supervisor 3 times and no one showed up. I emailed customer service and they again sent me an email saying there was nothing they could do since it showed we boarded the flight already, even though we had to get off! 9 hours later we finally had a departure time! If I could give this airline no stars I would. We all made complaints to the airport, airline, and DOT. Spend the extra $50 and fly with someone else.

Disappointed

So the last two weeks I’ve had three flight with frontier. First one was delayed 30mins, no one told us why. The second flight was delayed an hour and once again didn’t know why. It would be nice to know why a flight is delayed. Then when we we’re getting off the second flight they told us the wrong baggage claim number. Stood there for 10mins and then realized that we were standing at the wrong one. Then the last flight coming home. We got on the plane on time. I was thinking maybe we’ll actually leave on time. Nope, the captain told us they were waiting to fuel up which takes 15mins but we had to wait for fueling truck to even get there and so we sat there for 30mins and then we start moving and get to a certain point and the captain goes, “ so there’s a storm, so all planes are taking off on the same runway.” So it was another 20 to 30mins to actually take off. We sat on that plane for an hour before we even took off. The storm obviously isn’t the captains fault but they shouldn’t have boarded the plane until the fueling had been complete. I’m usually a pretty patient person, delays happen but 3 out of 3 of my flight were delayed. No one likes to have a delayed flight. There needs to be better communication between the airline and it passengers on why a flight is delayed. Just very disappointed with the airline. Love the cheap prices but I wouldn’t recommend this airline.

Worst experience

My family and I were flying from Boston to Orlando on September 22,2022. We boarded the plane and then they told us we needed to de board the plane due to bad weather. About 30min later we boarded the plane again. After pulling away from the gate and sitting g on the runway for an hour we were told there was a fuel imbalance and had to return to the gate. At this point a plane full of children heading to Disney were crying. When we were told to De board again we were inside the gate and an international flight from Paris was sent into the same gate. They kept us locked in the gate because of this. There were people screaming at the one women that was trying to fix the situation. We then received $10 each for lunch and were told our flight would leave at 7:15pm. (We were originally supposed to take off at 9am). Hours go by and we there are no employees for frontier anywhere. They told us the plane was fixed but that the new issue was that the crew timed out. So now we had no crew. Finally after hours of waiting a crew showed up and we left around 11pm. I am so disgusted with how all this was handled. Your employees are also treated terrible. We were dealing with the same 3 employees that had been there since early morning. These poor people were getting screamed at for hours for something that was not their fault but an airline that clearly has no idea what they are doing. Maybe if they treated their employees better they wouldn’t need to search for people to work and hire pilots from other airlines to fly for them.

One of the worst airlines ever

I have never experienced such incompetence from an airline and I travel a lot. My family had to book tickets to attend a funeral. The day we were leaving, we got an email that two people in our party flight was cancelled. There were 5 of us traveling together. The other three people flight showed on time, which was confusing. When I went to see if the flight was on time on the airport website it showed the flight was cancelled l, but I didn’t receive an email from Frontier. I checked the app and reservations, it still showed on time. So I decided to call. I was told the flight was canceled. I informed them that their website and app shows the flight as “On Time”. I was never told why the discrepancy was showing. All 5 of us rebooked a later flight for that same day. Well two hours later, we get another email indicating the flight was canceled again. They did not disclose why these flights were being canceled. We demanded a full refund since they could not accommodate us and even though we told them we had to be at our destination due to bereavement and by a certain time, all we received was an apology and refunded 4 our people. We had to drive the 21 hours. The one person that decided to give them a chance rebooked their flight for the next day leaving from a different airport. Her first flight was cancelled, then the next flight was delayed. She had to do a layover in another state. Once she got there, her connecting flight was cancelled, the second flight was cancelled. The third flight she was able to get on and get to her destination.

Not worth the emotional cost

I’m over saving money if spending more with another, more reliable airline saves me hours of travel time and emotional expense. My frontier app was not functioning properly at the gate check in more than on one occurrence. The boarding pass doesn’t load, or if it does, it’s not the updated one, but from the previous flight of the round trip. When my flight was delayed and then canceled, it had to get rescheduled. I had woken up hours before the flight to make a 4 am shuttle to the airport to catch the 6am flight. But since it was canceled and rescheduled for 11 hours later I was gifted a $10 food voucher to make my unbearable long day less miserable. So it paid for almost half of my airport meal that had to last me until I landed at 11 pm that night after 21 hours of travel. Because the flight was canceled I missed a day of my already short weekend trip with my kids. On the return flight my boarding pass on the app would not update or load from the prior flight’s boarding pass. NO MATTER how many times I restarted my phone, deleted and reinstalled the app, nothing updated my boarding pass. Along with that, I keep receiving email notifications about my flight being interrupted (now I understand it was referring to the flight I had already taken) but I could not update the pass to confirm anything. I am now 3 days post return trip and still receiving emails from frontier about my flight interruption that happened 5 days ago. This is the worst coordination I have experience with an app and airline and I will fly a different airline next time.

It is easy to get suckered in with the initial low prices, but you will end up paying a similar rate to anyone else, and if your flight is not cancelled, you will arrive broken and angry. Frontier has shifted their business model over the past few years to be as customer-maddening as possible. After you get through the initial up-charges for things like having a carry-on, checking a bag, checking a bag over 40 lbs, and talking with a human ($20-$40 depending on if you know you want to talk with someone before you get to the airport), you are met with a glitchy website and app with absolutely no way to talk with a human on the phone. Frontier also likes to do the bait-and-switch with their flights: I am writing this angry review after missing my flight that Frontier said was delayed for 2 hours until 30 minutes before the flight took off at its original time. Since I quickly ran to the customer service desk, I beat the other unlucky potential passengers that also missed the flight, and was rescheduled (for a $100 booking fee) on a flight that will get me to my kids 12 hours after I told them I would be home. My only comfort is knowing that the insanely hard plastic seats will put me in such physical pain that I will forget the emotional toil I have been through today. Frontier- Just say NO

Never again

I will never fly frontier again. I’m an experienced flyer having traveled extensively around the world. I know when an airline is fraudulent. 10 days before my trip I get an email that they weren’t flying the day I had booked anymore, and were going to rebook my 3.5hr flight to reroute through another city adding an additional 4 hours to the trip, and that trip was to leave before my connecting flight even arrived. After getting nowhere foreign “customer service” they booked me on the same timetable a day later, leaving me with the responsibility of booking a hotel and finding my way to and from that accommodation. The next day when I finally made it to bag check, I was told my bag was 15 pounds overweight and was extorted for another $100 in fees to keep my bag. When I got to my destination and received my bag, my rain cover was torn all the way up the front where they damaged it, and tore up all of the patches my rain fly was supposed to protect. Thankfully this was the last leg of a 3 leg trip, so my $200 leg turned into $600 after being robbed at the bag check, bag repairs, hotels cost and taxi fees, that’s excluding meals during that time. I will never fly with frontier again, I wouldn’t step on their plane if they paid me and I would urge anyone to use their competitors. Forget airlines, this is the shadiest “business” I’ve ever had the misfortune of coming across.

Inaccessible App Denies Blind Account Creation Process

For the second time in 30 minutes, I’m having to write this same sad but true story. When trying to create a new account on the Frontier iOS app, you can’t do so without getting someone else to do it who can see if you are needing to use the Voiceover iOS screen reader. I just wrote this same story about the experience with the Alaska app and wonder, did they use the same designer. The issue that bars me from even getting through the front door of account creation is a simple and significant failure of basic design. Specifically in this case, the pull down menus that you use to select among other things, the optional suffix of your last name, and the required fields for your gender and the country you live in do not work at all when you tap on them. They should open a menu with the listed choices you can choose from, but they do not do so. Thus, when trying to use the app to create your account, this design acts like a key lock keeping me barred from entry. I could get a friend or my wife who is sited to do it for me, but that is not their job. So until this gross error of design is fixed, I won’t be creating my account and I won’t even consider trying to book a potential flight on your airline. This requires an immediate fix and the person who let this design slip through should be held to account.

Buggy App, poor flight service

App is glitchy and takes a while to load your confirmation and boarding pass if it does. Had to relaunch several times to get it to work. Flew from Denver to Orlando and then from Orlando to St. Thomas with a two and a half hour delay from Denver to Orlando due to the crew being late. Then on the flight back from St Thomas to Orlando they overbooked the flight and had to kick 9 people off due to their own incompetence of not being able to book a flight properly which delayed us by an hour and a half. Once we took off we flew for fifteen minutes before we had to land in San Juan to refuel for whatever dumb reason which delayed us another 45 minutes. Once we landed in Orlando we missed our connecting flight to Denver because the connecting plane couldn’t wait 20 minutes for us to de-board and on board the new flight. No compensation was given except for a food voucher at mcdonalds which was like 7 bucks. They wouldnt give us a room for the night and expected us to sleep on the floor at the airport. The nine people who were kicked off the flight in St. Thomas received a 1000 dollar credit. The thirty people who missed their connecting flight due to frontiers incompetence were given nothing but a food voucher and a rebook for the next day, but that flight filled up fast and some people had to wait until Monday for another flight out. The absurdity of this entire situation combined with the fact that they wouldn't even compensate us for a night at a hotel speaks volumes to their disregard for their customers. Last time i fly Frontier. Southwest here i come.

I’ve had a couple problems with this app first time I used it they changed my flight and didn’t say anything I realized because I checked the dates and hours and I had to change it because they added a stop and the flight I got had no stops, they changed it and then I recently got another flight round trip everything was good I bought the flight like 3 months ago until recently they cancelled out flight back and they didn’t even say anything I just received an email saying sorry your plans have been cancelled we tried changing the flight but there were no flights appearing we called and they said the supposedly the flight was not secure and that it had a pop up before you got it saying it wasn’t secure keep in mind I take screenshots of every screen that I pass to make sure there aren’t no problems and that they don’t try coming up with something like this time again because I’ve had it happen a couple times and they said that we had to pay 600 dollars for a new returning flight when I ALREADY PAID THE WHOLE THING!!! We said we were going to contact someone about it and they lowered the price, and said that I wasn’t going to pay for something I already paid for they canceled my whole round trip and again they didn’t say nothing and they didn’t want to give me my money back!!!!

Frontier App has adv and disadv

Using the Frontier app on my phone has some problems and yet some advantages. When I look for the same flight online, it is more expensive. When I try to book with Miles online, it requires more miles. So using the app is “cheaper”. Why? The app also saves profiles of my fellow travelers (online does not) so it’s easy to click on the saved profiles and put them into the flight. However, there is a point where it says are you sure you want to not use a bundle and at this point on my iPad, I cannot progress further because the link to move on is not available. It is also not available on my iphone, but there is just enough of the text line that I can press on it and it will continue. The other thing I noticed on the app is that I did not find a space to put a voucher, so I cannot use it. Lastly, several times in the past month when I book flights, I receive an error in the middle of the booking. I have to go back a couple of steps and start from there again before it works. Saving the profile is a huge plus… Obviously if it’s cheaper to use the app, that is a plus. But I sure would like it to function the way an online reservation would.

Can’t even make an account. 1. Typed ALL of my info and the app failed to load so it just sat there spinning for minutes on end. 2. I closed it and redid the sign up process. I typed in ALL of my info and created an account and 3. got an email confirming that. 4. I used the email and password I just created and it failed to log me in saying invalid. 5. I tried 2 more times and it failed so I did the reset password and got an email for the temp password. 6. Got the temp password and COPIED it on my phone and went to the website and used my email and the temp password by pasting it to gain access and it prompted me with a password reset, as expected. It asked for my temp password which I pasted again and then used a different password. 7. Invalid temp password. What? How. It’s copied and pasted. Tried 2 more times and it failed. 8. Went to do password reset again and followed the same process and it failed, again, invalid temp password. 9. Used the desktop, went to the website, website let me do the password reset and gave me a temp password and the whole shebang AGAIN and it gave me a new error: contact the airline. No. I don’t show loyalty towards any airline. Frontier was $59 for a ticket. It was the cheapest I found and I shopped around on different browsers and deleted cookies. I bought a ticket and paid for it faster than I was able to create an account. I am not dealing with calling anyone and not trying to troubleshoot this crap anymore. I don’t care to accumulate points through any airline and will suffice with the email confirmation before my flight. Get lost.

Do Not Use APP For Boarding Pass!!!

This app cost me my flight back with perk bundle, another ticket with another (but reliable) airline and a hotel night. I checked in online few hours prior to my MIA to PHL. I have TSA Pre check, when I got there, the app would not load my flights or find my boarding pass. This used to happen at times, the app would have forget who I was. This time, it was critical and the app kept giving me an error. Come to find out, other passengers on the same flight had the same issue. We headed to Frontier counter 35 minutes before departure, no one to be found, we were told by other airlines representatives that frontier personal left about 15 minutes prior!! We called frontier, after a looong wait, we were told that we will miss the flight, that the flight is not refundable, we have to pay a $110 fee to be placed on another flight 2 DAYS LATER!! other passengers managed to get a credit for their missed flight, I was not as lucky, and person I spoke with told me IT WAS MY FAULT TO TRUST THEIR APP WITH MY BOARDING PASS!! To add insult to injury, frontier lost my suitcase on the way to MIA (direct flight). They found it yet 5 days after my flight and I am still waiting for my bag back. I will never FlyFrontier again. Do yourself a favor and print your boarding pass or at least take a screenshot. Better yet spend a little more and travel with a real airline in peace.

No issues really with the app, but Frontier as a whole. Had a flight to go to DC Washington, got in and got all set at the airport and they ended up delaying the flight because the lights in the cabin didn’t turn on. Got delayed again. Then finally they canceled the flight. The customer service was horrible, tried to wait in line for the customer service desk and people had been waiting for 5 hours before our entire flight was canceled because two other flights were canceled the same day. So three canceled flights in quick succession. Tried to connect with online customer service and they turned off their texting so if you needed to talk to someone the only way to go was through the customer service desk. They had someone come down the line, saying that the only thing the customer service desk could help with was get your flight transfer which you should do on your phone. If you ever need to use Frontier. Don’t. Not only are their planes probably not the safest to fly. They will make it near impossible to get any decent help. They also refused to transfer your luggage over, meaning you have to leave, get your checked luggage, and then go through security a second time. Over all a horrible experience. If you need this app, good luck and hope your plane works.

Don’t count on your original flight booking

We booked direct flights back in November from Chicago to Miami. Hotel stays and rental car all based around our bookings. I got an email six weeks prior to our trip saying we now were connecting in ORLANDO with a 7 hour delay and getting into Miami at Midnight. Then when we flew back going from Miami to LAS VEGAS and then over to Chicago arriving the next morning. We had no other options to cancel or reschedule for any other flights. Our flight from Orlando to Miami ended up being cancelled so we cancelled our rental in Miami and got another from Orlando and drove in instead for the last leg of the journey. After paying for carry on bags we could have booked flights with American or united for connection flights and dependable service for cheaper. We booked frontier because it was direct. Trying to speak to anyone in customer service was an absolute waste of time on the phone or at a desk. No one cares at all. I work in transportation and understand the challenges of our world today. But customer service and even having a slight bit of compassion or empathy to the situation people are in is what wins your reputation as being an airline to go back to. We will NEVER fly Frontier again and will be sure to share with everyone why they shouldn’t either. Incredibly disappointing.

Horrible experience

Frontier was a nightmare! Our flight to Orlando from Bloomington Illinois was cancelled with very little explanation on March 11, 2022. We had to book a much more expensive flight a day later with a different airline because they were not even flying out again until Thursday. This cost us $900 extra. Our return flight was still with frontier, it was supposed to be from Orlando to Bloomington Illinois on March 20 at 7:55 am. We arrived at the airport at 5:30 am and got in line to check our bags. The line wrapped around the the building into the shopping center. Frontier only had 3 people working the counter with 9 outgoing flights, most of which were cancelled. 2 hours later we were still in that same line and a frontier employee told us to just get in the rebooking line because we didn’t have our bags checked by the hour to fly deadline. The rebooking line only had one or two employees most of the day. There were over 1,000 people in line. We waited in that line for 7 hours only to be told we would have to wait til Thursday to fly to Denver and then to Bloomington. They said they could not refund our flight because we missed our flight. I have never been at the airport more than 2 hours ahead of time and not had plenty of time. Hundreds of people in the line were in the same boat as us, in line on time but missed the flight because of the short staff. They were short staffed and rude. We again had to rebook with a different airline in order to get home the next day. Frontier is a waste of time and money. We have not received a refund as of yet and had to take extra time off work. They offered no hotel vouchers, no food vouchers. Nothing!

Subpar app is the best part about an abysmal airline

App glitches consistently but does its job. That said, the app is probably the best part about this airline. l've flown several budget airlines - Spirit, EasyJet, RyanAir, Norwegian - and normal airlines - Delta, Wingo, Avianca, ChinaAir, Alaska, Southwest, etc - and without a doubt Frontier takes the cake for the worst airline | have ever had the displeasure of flying on. It isn't just a flight being delayed (that happens to all airlines, often for reasons beyond their control) or the insistent and unapologetic effort to milk you for every penny, but the complete lack of communication, unprofessional staff, and the general chaos associated with all aspects of Frontiers operation. No one seems to know what's going on or what should be going on. I would recommend virtually any other form of transportation: run, bike, train, ride a horse, crawl on your hands and knees - any of these would genuinely be faster and less painful than flying with this airline. Every aspect of the flying experience that was within the control of the airline was terrible. Beyond a profound lack of professionalism and absence of communication, every staff member I interacted with was simply rude and unhelpful. Having just run from my first | (delayed) flight to catch a (delayed) connection, I didn't have a chance to get water After boarding we proceeded to sit on the plane for another two hours before take off. Flight attendants rudely informed me I could not get water while on the ground for any reason. I could not deboard and was incredibly thirsty until we landed. Ridiculous.

I am a first time flyer, so take my experience with a grain of salt. However, I had a fairly positive experience with Frontier during my first time in the air as I headed to Philadelphia. It took about the same amount of time as they had predicted, the flight was smooth minus a tad bit of turbulence. The flight home though? What was supposed to be an 8:30am flight has been delayed going on 2 hours now, they made 40-ish people put their carry-on bags under the plane because of weight distribution issues, and even admitted they overbooked the flight and wanted volunteers who could wait until 10 PM TONIGHT for a new flight. Not only that, they did maintenance that no one was aware of until we were all on the plane, soon getting a text at 9am that we would be delayed. I sit, now typing this at 10:00am after having deboarded the plane because they kept us on too long. I understand they need to check the plane is functioning properly for us, but at no time was this issue directly communicated until we got off the plane. The lack of communication truly is appalling and I wish we were told why these things were happening more clearly.

Delays, Blaming, and Cluelessness

Don’t think I had a single flight in the four I took on Frontier that left on time. On my final flight from Portland->Denver->D.C. our original flight was delayed by two hours which led to 10+ of us missing our connecting flight by literally 5 minutes. There was no communication between the groups of attendants, all Frontier by the way, and they always sounded surprised when we talked to a new person. The Frontier staff at the connecting flight EVEN CALLED AIRPORT POLICE ON US as they turned us away! We were all obviously frustrated but no one threatened them or even got particularly close to them! They started demanding our names so they could “do something” about us as well. Then after 4 hours waiting in the airport for a new flight they booked for us THAT FLIGHT WAS DELAYED BY 2 HOURS AS WELL! We had to deboard after making it to the runway due to a “glitch”, in fact I’m still waiting currently and writing this review. I just hope my luggage is at the DC airport when I get there since apparently that was able to make it onto my connecting flight on time… just not passengers. I don’t understand how this terrible airline can have a 4.7 star rating, I flew with them once in a round trip from Orlando to Baltimore. The Departing flight got delayed 3 times from 9:55 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next morning. The reason for the delay was they messed up scheduling so there was no pilot to fly the aircraft, and the customer service did absolutely nothing. I asked for a refund and they told me no, I asked for compensation on my paid but missed hotel stay and they told me no, all they did was sending me a $10 voucher for dining that must be used within the next day. On my way back from Baltimore, the flight was delayed again due to some “computer problem”, so I looked up some statistics and unsurprisingly Frontier has the highest delay rate out of any airline operating in the United States at 31.9%. This airline is a piece of garbage on both main service and customer service. Yes, even for cheap airline. I’ve traveled with other cheap airline like spirit and southwest, none of them was as bad as frontier. I would strongly recommend stay away from this airline as possible as you can, the 30 bucks you saved is absolutely not worth the hassle and suffering.

Worst airline ever - still fighting for my refund without resolution

Frontier is the worst airline I’ve ever used! After our flight back from Orlando weeks ago I noticed an unauthorized charge on my credit card from them. There is no phone number so I had to online chat someone to figure out what the $99 charge was even for. They then said it was for an oversized or overweight bag charge. Not one person ever said anything about our personal items being too big. No one ever had us check them in container before boarding. And no one ever notified me that they were charging my card $99. I have been emailing back and forth with them and they keep saying there is nothing I can do about getting refunded for the unauthorized charge. I would have to go back to Orlando ticket counter and talk to whomever charged my card which is impossible for me to do. This company has stolen money from me but charging my card unauthorized not notifying me of any charges and our bags were smaller than the advised personal item sizes. This has been such a nightmare trying to get my money refunded from this fraudulent charge without resolution weeks later. We were never notified of a cancellation until we arrived and handed our IDs to check in. We have an 8 month old who is very sick and has an emergency and were on a red eye, you left us stranded in Las Vegas with multiple drunk customers in line harassing a little baby. You refused to compensate for a hotel and we had already returned our rental with no way to get him anywhere. Customer service gave us our only option, be stranded for over 24 hours and take a 17 hour trip through the night with 5 hour layover in Denver for a trip that should’ve taken 6 hours. We are requesting to be compensated for 1. Our flights we had to cancel so our sick baby could get the medical care he needs. A FULL refund, not partial… FULL. 2. Our hotel as you left a sick infant stranded in the airport at midnight 3. Our Uber due to no transportation 4. Our new flights we had to purchase because you supplied us no reasonable flight options. Your customer service at the airport was incredibly rude, unhelpful and sincerely did not care that they were stranding a sick child, they offered no alternative for direct or shorter flights and were so beyond unprofessional. We will NEVER EVER EVER EVER again use frontier and will for sure be leaving reviews on how horribly we were treated to anyone who will listen, I would never again risk the safety of my child to be at your mercy for your sincere lack of ability to supply a even near reasonable flight alternative. Separated me and my pregnant wife

While booking through this airline they attempted to seat me and my pregnant wife in two separate rows, while there were open seats next to her. If I wanted to seat next to her, they were forcing ME to pay $43 extra “for a preferred seat” I had booked both our seats at the same time over a month prior to our trip. The app is very reluctant to give you a phone number to call to talk to a human being, so I wound up googling it myself. The app may not be the issue here, It may be mine, but I was a little frustrated at the time. I did get a representative in a very short amount of time, I believe the gentleman‘s name was Prosh. After explaining to him that it would be unacceptable for this seating arrangement, He very quickly rearranged me and my wife into different seats next to each other free of charge. Prosh was very professional, and very willing to work with me, for which I will be forever grateful. However, putting me in the situation and putting him into the uncomfortable situation of having to deal with that is unacceptable at a corporate level. I will never be flying with frontier airlines again, because they also make you pay for a carry-on bag.

Worst ever travel in my whole life ,traveling with frontier is a nightmare never expected that it would take more than 24 hrs to Salt Lake City from Little Rock if we chose to drive it would’ve been better journey. they doesn’t inform us anything about the cancelled flight ! You’ve different payment methods but not the service websites none of your customer service phone numbers answer the calls for emergency and even providing the hotel for cancelled flight people is complicated because for us it took 3 hrs to just go and check in to the hotels worst ever customer services . Have some helpline contacts which works . Don’t only make sure about the payments of the bookings but also check the flights won’t delay. This is my second flight delayed and cannot even fix. the cancellation reasons were so funny that this is not correct aircraft , pilot didn’t appear because of his illness at the last moment of departures pick up some good reasons or tell us the truth about it . I missed my dearest and nearest friend birthday because of you people. The flights are heading back even after they arrive. Worst airline ever!

You get what you pay for! Spend the extra money and book your flight with another airline because this one is the worst Ive seen. You may think on the front end that you’re saving a few bucks and that it’s a sweet deal especially if you’re a minimalist traveler but that is not the case. Ive felt this way before and have come back to give this airline opportunities to impress me and forget about the previous bad experiences. However, it’s never happened!! Frontier Where do I even start… Here: if you pay for cheap, nasty flights, you get cheap, nasty attitudes. I had the displeasure of approaching gate A36 this morning for a flight to St. Louis. It was flight 698 to be exact. I was greeted by a woman, who appeared to be of the Muslim faith given her head covering, snapping her fingers and pointing at me to size my luggage. This rude and unprofessional gesture was unlike I had experienced with any airline in the past, even Spirit. This means of directing someone to size their luggage is classless behavior, much like the classless “big boss” as she was so named. There was a supervisor present who looked more adept at street walking for money or stripping than managing a gate at an airline. If you can’t walk in your heels, they’re too small and you have no grace. If you have to keep pulling your dress down, it’s too short (and too small). She was equally nasty and classless. “You only have one minute! The plane WILL leave you and it’s $99 if you get left.” OK… I have experienced poor customer service in the past, but the individuals managing the gate this morning should be fired immediately. They have no class, grace, professionalism, or sense of customer service. When I asked to speak with someone about their behavior, they stated “She is the manager.” This explains why the proletariat is so ignorant. It all trickles down from the top. Don’t fly with Frontier. Save your money, and fly with airlines with more experience, training, competence, and knowledge. Frontier: You’re only losing money by getting these reviews. Several issues

Frontier is not my normal airline, simply because they don’t normally go where my job takes me. Using the app I had several problems. Checking in for my flight went as you would expect. Click to check in. Receive Offer to buy a seat and other last minute things. But, the Frontier app was very aggressive in offering me upgrades multiple times. It also offered me a bundle when I had previously purchased the carry on a la carte. Was it trying to double sell? The second issue was this: It seems that after you check in and get your boarding pass, if you disconnect from frontier via internet, the app will say the session is expired, and will no longer display the boarding pass until you reconnect. Airports have signal dead zones, interference, yada yada - that’s life. I never lost strong cell signal, but it doesn’t reflect any hiccups. Also, my phone recognized airport wifi and tried to connect… unsuccessfully. Not retaining my boarding pass was a problem because at TSA, I lost my digital boarding pass. Later, I needed to know my gate to find my flight. Looks like I had disconnected again. Sorry!

Warning: Misleading App

Note: I’ve seen several blistering reviews on here with 5 stars attached, so I suspect someone is manipulating the rating system. If my review is attached to a 5-star rating, understand that it has been altered. This is a one-star review. I’d give them zero if I could. I’m also going to write a review of Frontier itself elsewhere, but this one is just about the app. When I tried to check in using the app (which the website implies is the only way to check in), it would not let me past the “Choose a Bundle” screen until I had chosen one. The site also warned that attempting to check in at the airport would result in an extra charge. All of the bundles were wildly expensive. I went back to the website and encountered the same issue. Only by using the customer service link (the messaging one) listed in small print at the bottom of the website could I choose just a carry on. I should add that the “carry on” in question was a regular-sized backpack that fits under any normal airplane seat. They charged me $69 USD (which is actually more than the cost of my short flight). I consider myself lucky, however, since the bundles were all much more expensive. Beware.

Ugh, this airline

Well let’s see. We fly them because they are extremely convenient with direct flights from GRR to Orlando and Nashville. With that said the rest is awful as far as service goes. I had to buy a $25 boarding pass when one leg of my trip didn’t populate into the app. That’s right, leg 3 of 4 had no boarding pass in the app and the woman at the counter said there was NOTHING she could do. That’ll be $25 of and I almost missed the flight. That of course was nothing compared to the time I was looking at changing my family’s flight by a day. I had paid for the flex flight for all of our tickets but when I accidentally hit submit trying to see return options it changed all the tickets and once again…you can’t talk to an agent. The online agent offered new tickets at twice the original cost. In the end I paid over $1200 MORE for my family for a single change that should have been covered in the flex flight. I could go on but we all know we’re only flying then if they have the direct flight we need. Flight crews have been good.

Flight cancelled - irregular operations

Flight was cancelled 12hrs before the flight. Not due to weather but instead a decision by the airline. Refund was offered but I had $600 worth of other things (hotel, car, dog boarding) booked which couldn’t be cancelled due to late notice. Ticket was only $165 so not much benefit in refund. Only flights they would rebook me on had connections which turned a 4hr direct flight into 12+ hours. How would I trust that my connection wouldn’t be cancelled and then I would be stuck in a foreign city. Some flights were 24+ hours with connection. Total bait and switch deal. Was never told there were other airlines which could get me out. Ended up buying a different ticket on another airline for approximately $500 so I wouldn’t lose my short trip and end up paying for all my other expenses for no trip at all. Very shady. Cancelled because it wasn’t economically feasible for a billion dollar company and instead they stick the inconvenience and $$ with individual people. I don’t know how these people sleep at night knowing they are ripping off the common American. No wonder why the government is investigating the airlines. Crooks monitoring crooks. Unbelievable.

The worst airline ever!

Frontier Airlines is one of the most frustrating airlines I’ve ever flown with. Their customer service, especially at the airport, is shockingly poor and often rude. It feels like they don’t value their customers’ time or comfort at all. Flight delays and cancellations seem to happen frequently, with little to no communication or support from staff, leaving travelers stranded and stressed. On top of that, Frontier’s ‘affordable’ flights aren’t actually good once you factor in their excessive baggage fees. They charge for almost everything, including carry-on bags, so the final price quickly adds up to more than a ticket with a full-service airline. You may feel it is a great deal if you don’t have any baggage, but the frequent flights cancellation/delays will soon cause you pain and will eat up all you saved in previous flights. Additionally, the long, inconvenient layovers make trips exhausting and stressful, and there’s usually no support if something goes wrong. They might appear affordable upfront, but the hidden fees, frequent delays, and terrible customer service make them far from a good value. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before booking with Frontier.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

Honestly I wish I didn’t have to give frontier one star because it deserves less. I ran into an error four times trying to book my flight online so I tried through the app I still got the same exact error it said some thing with the host which I will include a screenshot if I can. so I tried to look for the customer service number which is impossible to find because apparently they are all listed wrong and then they tell you to get on this chat. you get on the chat and you get the runaround for booking flights. this is also after dealing with an automated text message service that is no help. when you try to call the customer service number, it says that they’re out of order or if it actually picks up, it’s all “ I can’t transfer you but I also can’t I help you with any of the problems that you had”. you get a lot of attitude and then on top of that when the website is giving errors they proceed to tell you that no you cannot book the flight at the price on the website it has actually gone up and then I have to charge you a fee for me to help you to book a flight and then you get hung up on so hooray!

Dreadful

I travel a couple of times a year and book through other airline apps routinely with no problem. This one, however, was an exercise in frustration- and ultimately- in futility. The app does not recognize you or your device, so when it times out because it stubbornly refuses to advance to the next page, you have to start all over again. There is no acknowledgement at any point that you are actually logged in. There is no way to compare prices between a standard fare and THE WORKS, which they tout as being a great buy but most definitely is not. The biggest frustration, however, is the inability to move beyond the screen where you add your baggage (because you pay extra if you don’t do it before you get to the airport!). I tried FOUR times to buy my ticket, but tapping the NEXT button did nothing to advance to the next screen. If this garbage app is indicative of the kind of dumbassery I can expect when I get to the airport, I don’t think I care to fly with this airline. I am deleting the app and paying extra to fly with another carrier who doesn’t make me worry if their stupid app has even booked me a ticket when I get to the airport.

Not customer friendly!

Using the app to buy seats and carry-ons was not a good experience. You have to book separately for each leg of your flight. We booked outgoing seats and one carry on bag, advertised at $50 per bag and $21 for the seats we selected. That charge turned out to be $244. I went in to select seats and add a bag for our return trip (I was not informed and thought my purchase was for both flights- my fault) the next day. At that time, the cost had gone up and added another $360 or so to our cost. Live and learn- $58 tickets have now run me $750. BUT the seat selections for our departing flight disappeared. There is no phone number to talk to anyone and the chat says an agent wi be with you shortly, but they never came on after several hours. I emailed, and the response time was advertised as 7 days. They did respond sooner, to tell us they see where we paid to downgrade our seats. I emailed a receipt and screen shot of the assigned seats. No response. The gate agent fixed it for us, thankfully. But the app is slow, cumbersome, and apparently glitchy. With no human customer service, it’s not worth the risk.

Bad experience

Thursday, March 7, 2024 I felt as if I was being discriminated against by one of your employees. I was not able to get her name but when I boarding my flight, and employee requested I put my personal size suitcase to be checked for sizing , Which wasn’t any problem but the issue was when I asked another employee to help me . The employee denied the help and immediately went into defense mode and request I automatically pay the carry on fee I asked her several times why she felt this action was needed and that I didn’t pay a fee when i arrived to Florida. She ignored the situation completely and after I tried to just pay the fee knowing the bag wasn’t qualified for carry on she requested another employee don’t take the money and mistakenly thought I was trying to board the plane without paying and drew attention to the terminal . I also tried to talk to her about my personal experiences with the airport and my traveling experience since 2am that night and that I have a broken spinal damage due to many auto injuries. She ignored any tempt to resolve any misunderstandings at that time and seemed irritated with the job Because of this she rejects me to board my flight with still no reasoning. She ignored me on several attempts to resolve the situation she barely spoke anything to me but when she did she said pay the fee and no flight . After no explanation and every passenger boarded , I attempted to board she blocked the entry and make the issue worst . I personally feel like she had no reasoning to treat me with such ignorance without at least explaining she made a whole scene knowing people go through alot traveling and that everyone has bad days and moment including herself because she was very nasty about the situation to other even before me as if she was already upset about something at home . also I got another flight with this company to get home another day and had no issue about my same personal size item.

WORST AIRLINE EVER

When you pay the lowest price for tickets, you get what you pay for… actually, you don’t! Because Frontier’s unique system is set up to nickel and dime their customers at every turn. They double the ticket prices by charging for bags, assistance, bag weight increments (if you check a bag there’s a base fee, but if you go over 40 pounds you pay double, over 50 lbs and it triples!). And with their revolutionary self service method, the customer must check in, in advance, at home (because the app may not work well at the airport). If you didn’t know to do that (and how would you?) they charge you $20-40 to have an agent check you in. Same goes for checking bags. Oh, and they forgot to mention anywhere that if you plan on checking a bag, you must be through the check in line to check the bag well over an hour before your flight or they will not accept it, regardless if you prepaid. They shut the gate door 20 minutes before take off, and at that point they state it’s your fault. No refunds, just we’ll help you purchase another ticket and we can start the Frontier fiasco all over again. No thanks! I will never fly Frontier ever again.

Freezes

The application freezes a lot and times out. This is especially frustrating and inconvenient and brings a lot of anxiety when you have your boarding pass open and are about to present it to the TSA agent. The application freezes or boots you out and wont let you back in. It’s pretty bad when you have to literally step aside and there are hundreds if not over a thousand people behind you and the TSA agent even informs you that the Frontier application is known for locking up and kicking you out and such. Pretty bad when you have to catch a flight and you cant bring your boarding pass back up. The TSA agent informed me that if i can get the frontier app to open and show my boarding pass to take a screenshot of it because the frontier app is known for these issues. So as i sit here now im at work doing this review im going to see if i can get my boarding pass to come up and screenshot it before i get to the airport because the app cant be trusted when you are standing in line and get to the TSA agent.

Disappointed

Based on my experience, the company is rather substandard. I tried to use a flight credit and use the Frontier app to book a new flight, as instructed, and then looked for the place where I could enter in my existing confirmation number. Unfortunately, there is no place for the existing confirmation number to be entered at checkout, as instructed, so even though I’m hoping the next screen will have a place to enter the information, I ended up purchasing the ticket without being afforded the opportunity to put in the existing confirmation number for a credit. Furthermore, everything seems to be an add-on/up charge. I understand trying to maximize profits, but everything you do, has a cost. If you check in at the airport, there is a cost. If you want to bring in anything but yourself, there is a charge. If you want to get up to go to the washroom, I’m sure there’s a charge. If you want to think about asking a flight attendant, whether there’s anything they can do for you, I’m sure there’s a charge. My point is that a $200 flight becomes a $700 endeavor. The concept of bait and switch is quite prevalent.

Ripped off - app is misleading

Careful about being mislead by this app like I was today. Yes, you can check into your flight early, pay for your baggage, and pick your seat. However, there is a catch-22. Frontier attempts to sell you a package deal that includes a checked in bag, carry-on, and the ability to pick a seat, but makes it seem instead like you’re signing up through the app for an account. I made the mistake of going through all these motions without realizing that I was buying a package deal. How I really got screwed was when I showed up to the airport and the attendant let us know that our “carry-on” items were small enough that we wouldn’t have had to pay fees to bring them aboard. I later inquired about a refund for those two items and was told that they could not do so because I bought it as a package. I feel so ripped off! If I had just checked in my baggage at the airport and taken a randomly assigned seat, then I would have spent maybe less than $60 instead of $120. Frontier is bordering on committing fraud with this app and I’d even recommend that Apple yank it from the store so nobody else gets scammed by it like I did.

Worst than Spirit!

This is a HORRIBLE airline, the seats are tight, no leg room and chair doesn’t recline, the only thing you get for free during the flight is water, you have to pay for everything else. They make you pay a base price of $69 for a checked bag (under 40lbs (most airlines are 50lbs) plus $75-100 in addition for an overweight bag (additional 10lbs +). Carry on bag is also $69. Don’t bother calling, you won’t get anyone on the phone and the chat people are passive aggressive. My first and LAST time flying with this airline.

Poor service

Horrid experience. Being told I had to pay for carry on at check in, to having my gate changed in what must have been less than 2 hours before a takeoff at 6am so that I missed my flight then wiggled my way through an airport to queues on queues making it seem that they lacked organisation. I travelled with frontier and booked through the app. I was surprised by the extra charges for my seating and my baggage both ways. Making this discount airline no longer a discount. My flight home was cancelled by the airline itself, leaving me stranded. They provided me with a link to apply for a refund and promised it would be refunded to my card in 7-10 days but after weeks and weeks of inquiring about it their “customer service” informed me that I will not be receiving any refund and that I should have read the conditions of the booking. To strand someone and not even return their money for a flight they paid for feels rather illegal to me. I wouldn’t recommend anyone travel with this airline.

YYC to MCO 2 tix $1000. No problem. Expected to pay for checked luggage as any airline. Came to check in time...$1000+ on way there. $1500 for way home. $2500 on top of the original $1000. $3500 for 1 adult 1 child that’s with a stop over( first time not flying direct) 1 hour delayed on way there. 2 hour delay on way home. Could have got some sleep. Seats are brutal don’t recline. Tray is quarter of size of any other airline. Never seen anything like this. I’ve flown quite a bit. TORTURE
