Good and badI love playing this game, and it IS a fun game. Unless you invest a lot of time in it. Even worse if you invest a lot of money in it. By that I mean, that in my opinion, the game doesn’t seem like it gives you a fair chance at advancing up the ranks. Sure, some do - some don’t. But the game seems to punish you if you lose too much infamy. They seem to suspect you’re a “seal clubber” and don’t reward you as well for good games. I spent (way too much) money upgrading weapons and had some of the best. My infamy was around 3300, but then it started dropping like a rock. Now it’s down around 1200 and drops more and more. 1 up, 2 down, it seems. I personally think it’s a ploy to get me to spend more money, but I won’t unless what I’ve spent makes a difference. I really can’t recommend spending any money on the game if it won’t improve anything, or even makes play worse. Sounds like conspiracy talk. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. But aliens ARE probably to blame. :-P. Play it for fun and not for competition and you’ll love it. I’ll update this if things change..DrumnerdVersion: 4.4

Used to be great....I’ve played this game for about 2 years, and it used to be 5star. Through updates the game has gone downhill. Balancing out different perks to make all the boats maneuver better is one. Turning into a game that is really driving you to spend money to get to the upper levels and to buy the 2 new boats. I’m a level 47 and all 5 of my boats are level 47 too. That took quite a lot of upgrading. I’ve unlocked 2 legendary weapons in the first year and can’t even sniff legendary/epic loot now to unlock more. That’s where they get you to try and spend money. The game has turned into one of those that is all about trying to make you spend money instead of a good game. Same with guild play. We win quite a bit as a team so you earn coins for prizes. They “randomly” pick from 12 boxes and it used to be you could get good stuff from this hence working hard as a team to earn the coins. Now it is very very rare to get anything that would be wanted from this. This was one of the best ways to earn pearls and pieces to upgrade weapons. Now it’s all basic basic weapon perks and very small parts you win. You can see the good things to win but they just aren’t ever “randomly” selected. This game used to be the best game I’ve ever played on mobile and I’ve played a lot of good games and been very successful at. But they’ve ruined it. Just a few thingsWhen I first got this game I was having fun on it. I still am, but like every game a bunch of people have to make it super annoying. I'm getting close to unlocking all the battle grounds. Don't get me wrong I love that it gets harder, but there are problems with the teams. Sometimes I get an enemy squad that is very balanced and my squad is balanced and its a very good game. BUT there are times when the enemy squad has nothing but mortar players that sit at the back of the map and SPAM that stupid thing all day. It gets every annoying and I end up raging and not playing. Here are some suggestions: 1. Make all the teams even. Have it where there is one of each boat on the squads. It will be much more competitive if the teams were evenly matched. The whole Mk1 and Mk2 stuff doesn't bother me. I just want one of each boat on the squads. 2. Nerf the living hell out the mortar! Make it exclusive to a few classes of ships and not all of them. Defender and Enforcer are the ones it should be on. 3. If someone purposely stays at the back of the map force them forward or kick them from the match. I hate when my teammates do it and I really hate when the enemy does it and their team work so hard to try to win. That is all. A missed opportunityI’ve been a fan a rovio games for a long time. I love the angry birds series but do like it rovio tries something new. So as you can imagine I was really excited when battle bay was announced and I could not wait to play it. Fast forward 2 years and the game is basically dead. Think that rovio could totally make battle bay the next big thing just like angry birds was nearly 10 years ago. Rovio could do this in many ways but her just my ideas. 1. Reworking the UI, it’s just really messing and looks very confusing. Polish it to make it look nice pleasant while still keeping the apocalyptic feel of battle bay. 2. Campaign mode. I think the game could use some kind of single player content so if I’m tiered of online I could just play some single player. 3. A pipeline of new content. This pretty simple so I’ll keep it brief, a pipeline of new content just help keep the game fresh, just new items and ship really to be released but have them come out over time. I could talk about other things I’d like to see but I doubt rovio will do anything with battle bay unfortunately. Better than it was.Game is fairly fun when it’s not glitching. Some maps seem to cause the boat controls to glitch more than others. Sometimes the joystick simply doesn’t respond. Sometimes you cannot fire at an attacker behind you while directing your boat away from them. The game forces you to either aim or drive. If you turn off orienting by camera or boat direction, your boat will run in circles or crash into walls and stay there. Orienting by camera angle with cruise control on seems to be the only way to get fewer issues. Avoid obstacles does not work. Autopilot is fairly stupid. It will run you through mine fields, into direct enemy fire, or into obstacles and walls. Match ups are random. You may be matched with good mates; you may get matched with bots that don’t move. You may be against enemies your team can tackle; it may be a team you can’t even take on 1 player before your team is decimated in the first 10 seconds of the 5 minute game play. Devs seem to have stopped caring over a year ago. Last message from them was 420 days ago. When the controls aren’t glitching, it’s a decent 4-5 star game, all things considered. Need to be fixed for satisfaction customersI played this game when first come out. Matchmaking is pretty frustrating for me because of repeating teams and team up useless team every single match by watching my team died very fast before one minute which it’s 91% of my team are like this. Anyway, I will rate this star to 5 if you fixed two issues of matchmaking. For example, before match starts, u can pick 3 different set up of weapons to choose to fight against those specific ships. If u see too many speeders, I have to switch to speeders weapons to fight against them like Call of Duty that u picked weapons with 10 seconds to pick weapons before match start. Last issues, fix the settings to choose what ships u rather fight. I love to fight against shooters/defenders/fixers. Like turn off speeders, enforcers, interceptors, and other ships that u don’t want to fight against every single matches. For my opinion, it’s not fun at all when u keep fighting against 2 or more speeders every single matches when u using all mortars to help guild mortars damages. What happened?Now battle bay used to be a great game, and I used to play it around this time. It was one of the best mobile games I have ever played, perhaps the best game I had ever played. The action was fast paced and hardcore. It had so much personality. It was kept simple to not overwhelm players. The captain/upgrade system was great and gave a lot of personality to the game. Waves were a great mechanic. The game wasn’t pay to win, and things were looking pretty bright, until they made the first major update. It looked good at first glance. A new ship and balance changes were put into place to even out the ship levels, but then I started to realize what horror came with this. The game became pay to win, with high level players obliterating entire teams almost by themselves, most ships having you grind or pay to get them, simplicity was ruined with constant updates with new parts, and the captains had left the game. The game then died and was never to be seen again. Currently it still is a good game and if you like a more fast paced shooter then you should get this but at its current state there are still fans who are waiting for this game to be revived and the community is very kind..Fortia foreverVersion: 4.8.1

Great game, needs this...I've been playing battle Bay with my friends for about 2 months now and it's a very good game. With that said there are 3 things we've talked about together on what needs added; (1) fleets need to hold more than 2 people, you may think that would cause the game to be unfair, if that's the reason why it isn't added then we also thought of this. (2) Guild wars. 5v5 battle between other guilds, you choose 5 players that are online in your guild and search for a match against another guild with like stats, the game won't start though until all players ready up, so while you wait you can still play regular games. Last but not least (3) FreeForAll, this game is based not on surviving the longest, because you wouldn't want people to hide until most of the other players are dead, but it should be based on damage dealt, along with a negative side of damaged taken. Love it but...This is my favorite game on my phone currently. And rovio always makes great games to play. The reason I give 4 stars is because I. The past recent weeks of me playing there has been some shady crap going on in the game. I don’t know if this is a mistake or on purpose but it has cost me a crap ton of pearls. When I train people and then I go do a battle, when I come back from said battle it says In the top right (ex) “Brock is done training to level 9”. Then I go In the training area and it says that there is like 6 hours left. So basically the game is telling me the people are done training when there not. In my last review I addressed the matchmaking which was crap. It got a lot better and more fair but now this is happening so I can’t force myself to give the game 5 stars. I have lost over 500 pearls because I thought the guy was done so I clicked the button that says “speed up?” Thinking that is was the “pick ability” button. Best game ever! But has a few problems.First off I want to say that this game is awesome and I will play it till the game is deleted off the App Store but I have to say it has a few problems. First is that sometimes in a ranked match there is a legendary league player in the match on your team and all they do is sail straight and doesn’t shoot anything and every time there is a legendary league player on my team I lose and soon I saw that it’s a bot. Second there were lots of updates then suddenly there is not one update to be seen in like a year, and if you do a report and a player for speed hacking or spamming the game doesn’t answer and does nothing to the player you sent it about. MMO guildI’m writing this review because the guilds in the game are too basic... I’ll explain in other MMOs games like clash of clans, The Godfather, clash of Kings to name a few they have what every game needs when having a guild of a lot of people... is to be able to research science (which will either depending on what science tree path you choose to research first) will help in attacking bonuses hits points and rewards bonuses... but most importantly it’ll help the guild if it was possible to trade and/or gift items parts and power cells to fellow guild members. As well as having a one big map with a guild HQ with added benefits also being able to do guild wars and having more than 25 player per guild... and etc but mostly importantly it would be better in my opinion if it was more MMOs like keeping the ships and no one having a individual army.... Great PotentialHello, Rovio. You have created a very entertaining naval combat game with a fun battle system and a very fair free-to-play aspect. This has great potential. However, there are two underlying issues. First, not all weapons are equal. Cannons remain perpetually effective, with mortars, mines and incendiaries being situational and weapons such as carronades being next to useless. The second problem, which is the main reason for this and the cause of the 3-star rating, is the matchmaking. The issue is by basing the system solely off of infamy, there are massive discrepancies in weapon quality and ship models. As a Mark II player floating around 240 infamy (due to this matchmaking), I almost always face teams with Mark IIIs and often see Mark Is present as well. I am no game designer, but the matchmaking needs to be based off of something not as non-indicative of a player's skill and equipment as infamy, of which there isn't even a reason for powerful players not to drop in as there is no reward for high infamy except harder matches. My Favorite Game!This game if so fun! I play it at least 2 hours a day, and just love it. For anyone who likes multiplayer teamwork, then you will love this. Choose from 5 different ships. Choose from a variety of weapons, healing items, shields and much more. A very action packed game that is in your hand. I enjoy the custom battle feature, where you can battle with anyone you want to and it doesn't count for infamy. Oh yes, infamy. Infamy is your score in the game! Every time you win a battle, you gain 25. Every time you lose, you lose 24. I am currently at 3512 infamy! The whole point of the game is to reach 4000 infamy (nightmare league) and be the best player in the world. I have been playing for a year, since May fourth, and I can’t put it down. Matchmaking is ATROCIOUSUPDATE: The devs appear to have made some updates, because matchmaking is much better lately. There are still occasional blowouts, but not like before. Before, the matchmaking system would sometimes make one side with all players above a 50% win rate and the other side all below 50% — which was basically a guaranteed blowout — but that doesn’t seem to happen much anymore. So thank you, Rovio, for fixing at least one matchmaking problem! Previous review: Horrible, horrible, horrible matchmaking. Any PvP game makes it or breaks it on its matchmaking algorithm, and Battle Bay’s matchmaking algorithm is ATROCIOUS. Play a few matches and then look back over the scores: 90% of them will be 5-0, 5-1, 1-5, or 0-5. It’s almost like the developers have no idea how to construct fair, competitive matches with ships of comparable level. So prepare to either blow out your competition or get blown out instead. How to Change/Switch Devices?It’s a great game and I am looking forward to spending more time on it. I first played the game on my moms device, which is linked to her Game Center account and her iCloud/iTunes. I now have my own device with my own accounts synced to it. ((I want to get my Battle Bay account that’s on my mom’s device, onto my new device.)) I’m needing some help doing this and I was wondering if there was some customer support services out there or just someone that could give me a hand. I got pretty far on my moms account and I don’t want to have to start all over again on mine. If that’s the case, I may not feel motivated/determined enough to do so, and may just stop playing overall, which is what I really don’t want to happen. Good game but battles are lopsidedGood game but battles are lopsided due to the infamy system they use to put people together. First you can literally start the game and have a couple good fights and get thrown in a battle with someone who has a ship 3xs better then you and guns that can one shot you because they lost enough infamy to get pushed back. They need to set it that there's a cap on how far you can be pushed back based on your ship so new people aren't discouraged by being slaughtered. Second they need to give you more ways to get captain experience other then trough training. This would also fix the first issue with low levels getting stuck with high players. Third half their weapons are bombardments such as mortars and grenade launchers yet half the maps have roofs that block them. How about letting us pick the map we want or giving us a chance to chance our for straight line or torpedoes before the match starts. The game was great until the last updateThis game is good. It is one of the genuinely good games that you can play and you don’t have to feel pressured to pay to play. My only complaint is that there was a map called Wayward Pains. It was a map which you had to plan to not use too many mortars because there were only a few areas to use it well. Now, they have made it to where you can mortar from anywhere in the map and destroy your opponents without them even doing damage to you. There are a lot of maps where mortars have free range to do damage. Why not have one map where you are at a strategic advantage to not have a ship full of mortars to win. It was sad to see the update to make this game just available to all types of guns instead of making every map a strategy. Takes two fingers to drive, but......it becomes easier with practice. The graphics are good and the gameplay is challenging. Especially with the waves. The constant wave action adds to the skill level required to consistently put rounds on target. But, I'm getting used to it. I am used to the War Robots interface, and this one is similar except for everything is moving on top of the water! My only recommendation for developers is that there should be a beginner game or two with little or few waves. Maybe, even a tutorial level with static targets to shoot out just so the beginner can get the feel of using the targeting sight to acquire targets. My first couple battles, I was a little frustrated with bouncing up-and-down while trying to target enemy boats. A great gameIt has the special sauce. It looks great andthats a cheap shot that does not reflect the general quality of the game. there is no gore so I don’t worry about my kids playing.I love the special events and when they speed up the cool down in the event play it’s very hectic. The updates often knock (O_o) out of playing for a few hours. I have an older IPad and I have to wait till they correct screen problems every time. If they could keep the shot to shot cool down to 1second in all the gameplay - it would be a little better. My only other complaint is the paid upgrades are positioned in places where they are easily hit by accident. This is a cheap shot that does not reflect the spirit of the rest of the game. Only two...Overall I am impressed by this game and it always presents some thrill, there are just two things. First is the multiplayer battle and infamy. I understand that people are matched up based off their infamy and how well they do. The problem is that somebody can have a low infamy but have incredibly powerful (and annoying) weapons. It may take me three shots to deal 600 damage but one shot from a high ship player could be worth twice that amount. This is why I have really begun to like events, a lot, it’s often very well balanced and I am not overwhelmed. I think it would be good to find a more equal matching system. The other thing is not as important, ship customization. I’m an expressive person and I personally think that it would be interesting to be able to customize your ship. Don’t mess with my minesShould add a submarine that can only be equipped with torpedoes and cannons and mines. That would be interesting. They would be able to go underwater for a limited amount of seconds before being submerged for so long. Major damage from torpedoes and mild damage from mortars and cannons… I have a new weapon suggestion a mini mine. 5 mini mines that are attached together by chains that have a short distance to throw out from your ship that will attach to the enemy boat and only will blow up when the ship is hit by another weapon or runs into a regular mine. Like you could throw the mini mine even on a ship if it’s close enough but wouldn’t explode until the ship is shot or hit by something.. each mini mine could be 100 damage each totaling 500 until of course you level it up. That would be a big and low key weapon for close combat. Throw a small net mine on someone then shoot them to explode the mine net.. just a thought.MineyoutodeathVersion: 5.0.3

Excellent game with one huge flaw!This really is an excellent game, however, the matchmaking algorithm really makes for a poor experience. Whether you do very well or basically close to nothing at all, the systems algorithm insures an approximate 50/50 win/loss ratio. It’s pretty discouraging to get placed in teams designed to lose because an algorithm says that your winning too much. Im not sure the exact mechanisms used, however, after thousands of games it seems like a combination of team selection, shot accuracy/damage adjustment in favor of the team that’s “supposed to win”, and ship selection. To get ahead, you either need super-human time and patience, or spend $$$. As such, consider this a fun game just for playing not a competitive one as it’s branded. If Rovio gave credit based on individual performance rather than a rigged matchmaking scheme, it would easily be 5-stars..FlyhighoneVersion: 5.0.4

Rovio’ Battle Bay is Amazing! (I can’t say it enough.)It’s fun, addictive, and you’ll never want to stop playing. Every day you can enjoy a few minutes to hours trying to shipwreck your opponents for all that sweet, sweet loot. It’s designed perfectly, with console level graphics right in your phone or tablet. Play with friends or compete in competitions. This game will be enjoyed for years to come considering it had Angry Birds developer Rovio at the wheel. I can’t even fathom the future popularity when it hits the mainstream like Hearthstone or Minecraft. A must download and hell buy a few things in the store to upgrade your favorite pirate and ship faster. Those few dollars will save you $60+ when Sea of Thieves on Xbox One comes out. Typical mid-tier gameThe good: Love the movement controls....if you’ve ever driven a boat, they got pretty close. If you’re looking for precise, responsive controls....that’s not how boats work. The bad: Matchmaking is truly aweful. Rarely do you see evenly-matched teams, and most matches are over quickly, with one team dominating the other. You’ll see level 8 boats matched against level 30, where they don’t stand a chance. Sometimes you’ll have imaging stats on. 10-game loosing streak because you’re matches with cannon-fodder as teammates. It’ s just a an overall fail at team-balance. Update: lates changes are killing the game. Rovio made a terrible decision to limit players to 8 “Casual” matches per day, rather than fixing what was broken in their ranked matchmaking. As a result players are leaving the game. Great game, but no longer getting the support from the Devs. They’re just milking it for money, rather than making substantive changes..D~K~0Version: 4.9.8

A few things I and concerned about…I ADORE this game. It’s very note interesting and hard to get bored of. There is a few problems with it though. For example, I would like more content-filled updates. The most recent big feature was skins, and it doesn’t even change the game, as well as limited casual matches. Another problem with this game is how you earn infamy. You need to play a ranked match to earn infamy, but the problem with this is you are pared up with 4 other random captains, they could be beginners, or very late game. What I am saying is earning infamy is based of luck and your team determines if you win or not. I remember getting so angry from loosing 8 ranked matches in a row because my teammates would die instantly. Love the game, some commentsBattle bay is one of my favorite games and I love to play it. I have one concern about it though. I myself take the role of a support class (fixer) and I think that no matter how much healing I do I get less rewards than everyone else all of my friends are progressing so much faster then me because of this. For example I did 8000 healing one round and little damage (for clear reasons) but I still got one star and ranked lowest on team when the highest damage was 3000 on my team. I did nearly double the healing then his damage which I think should have put me in at least 2 stars but probably 3 maybe half the healing done and add it to the damage to score fixers. Everything I thinkI love this game but I do have some concerns. First of all, we should be able to report players in game while spectating, such as after you die. Sometimes, the last person is just floating and many times I just want to report them there but I have to wait until the battle ends, and I’d much rather be able to report them from when you start spectating. Also, I have the iPhone 8 and this game makes my phone really hot. It’s not a huge issue but it’s still an issue, and my phone constantly gets hot every time I open the game and especially when I start a battle. Another point I’d like to bring up is the matchmaking. Losing 5 games in a row kills the mood, please do something to at least give you good teammates that are matched or better than your skill rather than put them all on the other team. Still needs workThis has become a go to game for me. It’s easy to pickup, extremely satisfying and all a round a good game. I’m not giving it perfect stars because honestly it’s not a perfect game, there are a lot of bugs that get in the way of overall enjoyment. How about making this a game that is compatible with the new iPhone 10, i attempted to make changes to the UI but it just bugs out majorly and it’s unusable in other areas of the game. Fleeting should be more than 2 people. You are rewarding those that play in even numbers and penalizing those who aren’t, sort of broken if you ask me. Horribly brokenAs you level up you get bigger boats with more weapons, and based how well you’re doing you’re put in tougher leagues and matched up against players at your level. In theory. I leveled a Fixer up to level three and was in the second league playing people in the 900’s. If you try to level a different boat, you’re still in the same league and still matched up against people in the 900’s. Even though you’re trying to use a level one boat within gear you haven’t leveled yet. Obviously leveling each individual boat should be it’s own experience, but it’s not made that way. Okay, so I’ve learned you have to level all the boats together at the same time. So I delete the app, reinstall it, and it says. “You’ve played before. Great game but....This game is clearly well made. It’s action packed, full of strategy and team work, and a ton of fun to play. The weapons seem well balanced and the different ships add another layer of fun to the game, allowing you to find your own style of play. However, there is one fatal error with this game, being it’s matchmaking. All of my ships are around level five, and although powerful for their level, cannot compete with much higher levels. The matchmaking is based too heavily on infamy, which causes me to be matched with player who have up to level 40 ships. This makes me nearly useless on the field, as I die in seconds from a few enemy attacks. Ok, hereThe game Battle Bay is a nice and great game, but it gets boring after a bit, I find myself repeatedly leaving the game behind and then coming back new things come, but in my opinion, there should be more new things, not new features, or game mechanics, I mean new weapons, ships, game modes. New stuff like that would keep the game new, but they always come slow, I think adding ONE new weapon a week should be easy, or per month, but nope, the last new thing added was the guardian, that has been in game for months now, the game needs new things, and fast, seriously, the game gets boring when everyone blasts you with rail guns and cannons. Amazing and fun gameI love the game and all it’s so exciting and it’s very easy to move up in the ranks with the consistency of playing. The controls are easy to use and the whole app is pretty straight forward. I had fun playing this while I was young and then when adulthood hit me I just stopped playing. I just recently decided to reinstall the app and it makes me feel like a kid again. Although I did have an account and so did my brother I’m just bummed out that I lost my account. I only realized I lost it when I tried signing in through multiple methods and my brother got his account back on the first try. A good game but...I have been playing this game since 2016 (I main speeder and fixer) and it was one of my favorite games in my opinion. But there are a few problems. Rovio hasn’t updated this game in a while, so It’s a little broken like the matchmaking, besides, there is an invisible glitch where you see an enemy, they disappear. It’s isn’t the one where an when you see an enemy that’s no longer in your field of vision, they disappear, but I had someone on the left disappear when my field of vision saw them!! Excellent game, very competitive and intense.I love this game! Play it nearly every day. Super fun and intense action! No personal money needed to upgrade. Unless you want to get the best stuff immediately, that’s your choice. The only thing I don’t like is when you are doing guild quests, the points don’t count unless your team wins. And somewhat often, your four teammates royally underperform. I don’t blame the game for that part, algorithms are what they are. One suggestion I have that would be a great feature for friends and guild members, the ability to trade weapons. If you have one to lend that you’re not currently using or that you don’t need or like, you could gift it or loan it to your friend. Fantastic Game, Unique gameplay, can be frustrating at timesI honestly think that this game is one of the best games I have ever played on my mobile device. Underrated Quick PvPI love solid pvp action. I’ve been playing this game for years and keep coming back for the quick, tight battles. The physics typically works like it should, so missed shots are my fault, and practice is rewarding. I still have surprises in matches and come across great players who challenge me. I like it butIt’s not 100% user friendly. I would like to be able to be on the same team as the ppl on my friends list in matchmaking. The Good ,The Bad and The Ugly !Excellent game. Like many games you can pay your way to the top, or play your way to the top. One is definitely much longer then the other. While it does take time to learn the skills needed to be one of the “Many Master Captains” there are options for all. I have been playing this game close to when it first started. I still have the first 2 jingle bell’s Rovio would give out at x-mas time. Was disappointed in or about year 3 Rovio just stopped giving them out. Was happy to see they returned although it’s a different style, more like an old car horn. Hope they continue! As for paying that’s a personal choice. These games are not cheap build and up keep. I do spend money on pearls to share with Guild from time to time and for buying different skins. Very rarely will I spend to build up ships with the exception of after spending a year or two building up a ship and being so close to finishing it, I may pay for the last few pieces. Again it’s personal choice. I played VIP for many years until Rovio changed the casual play to a declining scale of 50-40-30-20-10 % then can continue playing casual for zero %. I understand that Rovio is trying to push players into the Ranked games so players wanting to play there don’t have such a long wait. However the rewards for playing ranked just didn’t seem to weigh out right. So I cancelled my VIP subscription. All in All , I find it to be an awesome game to play. Needs work and fair matching of teamsWhen I first started playing it seemed fun, as time progressed and I built up to level 50 (the highest level) it deteriorated fast, team matching was a joke, always giving the other team the advantage, the ratio of yellow ships they gave us was in the order of 4 to 1, they had 4 speeders to our 1, the ratio of Guardians was 7 to one, they had 7 to our one ( naturally not in one game average spread over games played. When I did use a yellow ship my Tesla bolt was always cheated, I’d only get 3 seconds of them being paralyzed, yet I would have to wait the full 15 seconds when I was hit, and another frustrating thing was after taking 2 to 3 years to finally build up to level 50, my ship was robbed from 25% to 40% of the power my weapons had, not to mention an unfair distribution of ships, like others have mentioned they make sure nobody has more than 50% win ratio. I have over 98,000 battles and a kill ratio of 1.13 which may never change due to their matching tactics which I don’t like, more often than not, I’m the only one with any kills, so unless I kill all 5 ships we loose, so a rating of 2 is being generous, and if you play I’m warning you now don’t complain about what you notice, they will only take it out on you (like you were the problem).Waldo the weirdoVersion: 5.2.1

RiggedI had this game for quite a while and dedicated a lot of time to it, I was sitting around 1600 infamy but my brother and I started to notice that the matchmaking just felt rigged, I’m not a sore loser but when you get in with a team that has two people floating in the back(disconnected or whatever)and your other team mates can’t hit the broad side of a barn, but the enemy team are all hitting dead on with every shot, it gets frustrating. Or when you get in a match where the entire enemy team has nothing but mortars and your whole team just has cannons. I started to feel that the game was rigged to keep you from advancing too much too quickly and began looking at other people’s win to game ratio and noticed that even the #1 player in the world is sitting just barely above 50%, nearly every player you look at their profile and they’re right close to 50% wins to games played, this tells me it’s rigged. Coincidence? I don’t think so. If it’s not rigged then why do they not allow you to team up with more than one other person?(they may have changed this since I deleted the app). I believe they don’t want you getting in with your friends who are all good players and winning too much, the game wants to keep you at 50% wins to keep you invested in the game enough to keep playing and paying into it to try and get getting stuff. AlrightBad news first, and there is a lot. The game is pay to win, its not noticable at the start but not too long in it is noticable, right when people usually figure they might spend money since they play it a fair bit. The games matchmaking goes of off infamy which makes you play wit players with close ammounts, this is good early on but as it does not matchmake by your overall gear it means that for me i am playing with tier 4-5s and me being one of the few tier 3s, microteansactions are overpriced and the weapone balancing does not exist, there is usually only big torpedos blast cannons and rarley anything else and the other things need a ton of levels to be comparable to the rest. The only good thing is that the gamplay without any outside factors (your gear) is good but is ruined by pay to play factors. Matchmaking Needs WorkThis game has so much potential. It’s an obvious P2W platform but that goes without saying. However, the matchmaking has been broken since this game came out. I’m amazed that the developers are that lazy to adjust their algorithm. You generally see the same players in your matches. You recognize who’s good and who’s not. I just find myself being paired against a stacked team who has 15+ legendary items compared to my teams 2 (I have zero, but I do have a lvl 50 epic explosive cannon). I just can’t understand why the game would pair you against a team like that who has 1 or 2 fixers while you’re left with nothing. When our team gets smoked in under a minute, you would think that would trigger something to be adjusted for next time. I can find myself on a 10-15 game losing streak because I’ll get paired against these Super Teams (who aren’t even fleeting together). Rovio, stop being lazy and fix this algorithm. Teams should have equal Fixers and equal gear score. I can’t imagine that a team with 15+ legendary items plus tier 3+ epics has the same gear score as my team running rare items with 1 or 2 good epic items mixed in? Could easily be 4 stars. I would give the game 5 stars if they gave a 50% discount on their stuff. You’ll see offers for 9000 pearls dor 40 Epic Power Cells which is needed to go from Tier IV to Tier 5. That’s over $50. Horrendous Support - decent gameThe title says it all. I played this game for over a year, spent a decent amount of money and time, lead a clan, and was competing in the highest level of play the game has to offer. TLDR, not worth it. The dev team is nonexistent at this point, so don’t expect much new content. I’ve also had my account locked for every a year now. Great Game but matches often unbalancedGame is fun, diverse, and challenging. The major issue is how poorly balanced the matches are arranged. The game tries to match similar scores, but what that fails to capture is there is a big jump in armor, hit points, and number of weapons a higher level craft can field compared to a lower level craft. A higher level craft usually has more firepower and can shoot much more frequently as a result. This doesn't even begin to factor in the Captain levels which dictates what passive perks that Captain has behind the scenes. All these factors lead to very unbalanced games. Games where one team has hundreds to thousands of more hit points and weapons on the field than the other team. Been on both sides. Prefer to win or lose an even match to an uneven one. Hopefully they fix this. EDIT: Been a year and teams are still vastly unbalanced. They balance by score rather than by ship level when it should be the other way around. Unbalanced and developers not fixing the problemI’ve been playing this game for over a year now. It has beautiful graphics, extremely fun battle mechanics, and (the matchmaking algorithm not included) an overall fun game play. It has the potential to be my all time favorite mobile game. Clunky MechanicsGoing to be honest, probably didn’t put as much time into this as I should I have but it’s purely based off of how klunky and terrible the controls are on this game, I swear every time I’m trying to look in a different direction I shoot a bullet then see an enemy ship and have to wait. Ripoff warningThe only reason im not giving this a zero is that i wanted to write a review. I started playing this a few years ago and at that time,spent quite a bit of coin upgrading most of my fleet. At one point i had to delete the game,store it in the cloud to free up some space. Just lately i reinstalled the game to resume playing,only to find all my fleet had disappeared and inwas left to start from scratch. Pay to win and win unbalanced weapons/boatsI’m not surprised this game is pay to win I’m just surprised how unbalanced the boats are. It’s so unfair the the starting ship is the best.
