Incredible game I just want to address some personal issuesThe gameplay overall was a very great experience. It was fun enjoyable, but there are a few things that I feel like could be fixed. The first thing has got to be the pay to win features and I’m sorry. I know that game developers have to make money, especially indie the game, developers. there’s only one other problem it’s a little repetitive you know with like all of the same characters as the original along with that one new one also removing a few of the older ones such as that supercharged bomb from the original game, which I personally loved overall though it was still a very nostalgic and fun experience to play the game and to realize that the developers took the time and money to bring back some of my dreams because I have actually been. I actually lost this card that I bought of the actual like characters and you see, I’m just a very big fan and I’m happy that this game got a revamp update. You know and a second part. it was overall such an nostalgic experience that that overall made my review extremely high. Great game but it could use a few fixes.I love angry birds and I always have. Me and my dad would play it together when I was little. But Rovio could change a few things. First thing, it’s pay to win. Black pearls are hard to get for hats unless your a good player, but to be a good player you have to buy hats with black pearls. Then along with everybody who plays the game, I don’t want to wait a half hour to play again if I lose my hearts. It is very clear Rovio is trying to take your money, but maybe I would spend it if you let me play the game well without spending money. Now, I know I have said a lot of things, but this will not stop me from playing this game. Overall very good game. I love angry birds and I always have okay, for real for real. Also, when are you going to come out with the new angry birds game I took a servey about to see what I would like in a new game. Please Revert the Treasure Pass Tiers Back to 40 instead of 30, Return the ToF system of it taking away a card so we have a higher chance of getting the Event hats, let us be able to use our MEBC Coins to redeem get limitless (Unlimited) MEBC Black Pearls in the shop. We want to use those coins more than just Feathers and Spells. We want to level up our slingshot from collecting all of the hats, Especially the Unavailable Unique Event Hat sets that take months or almost a year for it to return for a Rerun, Increase Arena Leaderboard rewards up to 2.5k - 3.5k gems in Legendary and Master League so that way players can enjoy the game again. Add the extra birds to the End Results screen after finishing DC, KPP, and the Story Levels. Just why Rovio…WHY?!?!?!?!When I was little, I remember playing the original Angry Birds and I loved it a lot. But unfortunately it got removed from the App Store and I was devastated and disappointed that it was gone, but there was this game which in my opinion it’s worse but still good, there’s bosses, rewards, and other stuff like that, but sometimes you just get a little to bored when you play it too much and that happened to me when I played this game, and honestly bro, I’m just disappointed at Rovio (the creators of Angry Birds), because they took down an awesome nostalgic app from the App Store and like a few years later they brought back the original Angry Birds App on the App Store but it’s not as fun as it was in 2013 to 2018 ish. The worst part is that there were other great games like Angry birds Space or Angry Birds Rio that got removed from the App Store and they still are to this day, and now we got some useless dumb Angry Birds Apps like Angry Birds dream blast or Angry birds pop. Excellent but...This game, is absolutely addicting. It becomes really easy in the beginning, gives A tutorial, for beginners, and I absolutely love that. I have downloaded this game on two devices, I’m in the beginning on this one, and on level 99 or something on the other one, I’m no way near the end , but I’m far enough to say that So far I haven’t reached the required Things to hatch anything and that’s quite a bummer. I think a huge improvement would be what level, and WHat things you need to do to unlock things. Another huge bummer is that I’ve noticed there is about 5 or 4 ‘boy’ birds, and 2 girl birds . I’m not saying to over flow it. Or anything. Because there’s about 7 birds. In total. But I do think that 8 is a even number, and I kinda like everything to be in order. So I’m very upset that the sling shot is literally taking a square and the unevenness is just.... no. I do wish they add Stella. I have only seen her on one game. There used to be a Stella angry birds. It was taken off, and I’m Very upset and cry over that. So I think that Stella could get more people to play it because I’m sure a lot of people would miss her, and still do. So bring her please. PLEASE READ AND RESPOND DEVELOPERS!Hello developers and bird soarers! I rate this game 5 out of five stars! This game is awesome, but I have a coooouuple problems with it. Nothing huge, just small things😉 First, I love the clan battles, the mighty eagle bootcamp, and everything thing else! There’s not much else to do besides that stuff and the arena and the levels. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, just suggesting that you could maaabye add a liittle more? 2, the levels. I’m kinda far into it, I have all the main birds, plus Hal and Bubbles, just missing Stella, Leonardo, and Melody. But getting past those levels are soooo hard. I know that’s the point of it, but could you maybe make it a liiitle easier to beat? 3, leveling birds and yourself up. That’s also really hard. I know the point of that is to make it harder as you get farther but could you possibly make it easier? Also, my clan almost never does clan battles- which is fine -but I love clan battles! Tower of fortune story (bad ending)I love this game, I play it every day, the levels are fun, the new birds are cool too. I would leave a five star review, but giving one star is the only way I can get back at this stupid app for the torment the tower of fortune has placed upon me. The tower of fortune is given so much importance in the game, you need it to participate in hat events, and it’s one of the only reliable sources to get a steady amount of gems. I understand why the developers would want these things to be rare, but there needs to be a better way for the rng in the tower to work. I’m writing this review because I was playing the tower of fortune just mere minutes ago, when I encountered the loot stealing pig in the third spot twice in a row, understandable. I coughed up some gems and watched a video to continue collecting loot. With a basic knowledge of probability I concluded that he most likely wouldn’t be there again, but I told myself, “if the pig is here again, I will leave a one star review on this game I love so dearly”, because I was so sure it would not happen. I think you can assume what happened next. There goes my gems, patience, and my peaceful morning on my day off from school. I could share my other anecdote about getting all the way to the floor with Terence’s event hat on it, only to not get the hat, and never end up doing so, but my fingers are quite tired. Not the same anymore like the originalAngry birds was so good back then and popular at the same time it was even my childhood, but everything just changed it has gotten so competitive where its all about battle each other and leaderboards, and there’s a clan that u can join but the clan is something where u can get kicked for some reason for inactivity or you miss A event and u get kicked it’s just super competitive, but the thing is I log in to play in a clan but i still get kicked? I don’t know what im doing wrong i never miss an event i still just get kicked, so i thought i should make my own clan but in order to do that i have create a clan by 350 gems and I can’t believe it like why do i need gems to create a clan that makes no sense everyone should create a clan for free, so at this point i just stop joining a clan, and a another thing that is just super competitive is that this game has ranked like there’s bronze silver and everything else, and of course yes they have a leaderboard where it shows the top players and clans, and the levels just get harder and harder and there’s like 5 slides to go thru and i can barley complete it and sometimes i also have to either spend gems or look at an AD just to get a free bird and it just still isn’t enough, and they also have a treasure pass which i think it’s a battle pass for all of the rewards and quest’s but you have to spend 10$ dollars just get a treasure pass really? Losing Air SpaceWith every update more and more has been taken away from the players. More gems are needed to continue play. Can no longer buy hats or upgrade using pearls. New hats events happen every two days or so and the coin amounts have increased to an impossible requirement to get to 3rd level. Of course the top hat and coin amount can be bought for 100 dollars each. With hat events occurring every two days the dollar amount can really add up. Game freezes up on a regular basis and have been totally locked out for several days at a time. Sometimes rewards are given for the lock outs sometimes nothing but it never adds up to what has been lost because of a missed hat event or battle. The game is addictive however I can’t see a brand new player sticking with this game. The events have been made harder. I’ve been playing for more than 10 years and can’t get through the events without having to spend gems. A player just starting out could never get through the events without spending gems, which equals money. Never mind the ads the game has gotten very expensive to play. Parts of the game ate not kept updated and has been down for several months now. When opened there’s a messages saying more levels coming soon. Read on** The game is fun but unfortunately the company that produces it is dishonest and cheats to make you pay $. There are numerous examples such as (rated mild-worst) 1) making the tiny pigs seemingly invincible even to stone when it is your last bird in a match you have a high incentive to win 2) arena opponents unreasonably more advanced than you towards the end of the arena streaks 3) the issue with locking up that fellow players have been reviewing about 4) you have to pay $10/month to be able to claim the reward for completing the Daily Quests. But what is the most bothersome? Watching them blatantly cheat before your eyes by not rewarding you your new bird before resetting your progress bar. The simple lack of ethics and morals by the creators/maintainers of this game—a game made for children—is not only disappointing but also disgusting. UPDATE— After writing a negative review with 1 star rating I have yet to win a single level or arena win. Playing the 1st level of arena with spells 4 times—against lower powered components without spells—without a single win is clearly rigged. I had just finished a legendary group win streak just before the review. I changed it to 5 stars and the laws of physics resumed. Apparently 1 star reviews are discouraged in weaselly ways. I’m a HUGE Angry Birds fan!Rovio has come up with a great game once again! From Headpops and Strikes, to Clans and Challenges, this is probably their best game so far. Red, Chuck, Bomb, Blues, Matilda, and Terrence are at it again fighting for the eggs. It even includes new birds! I like how they had Red have an ability. It makes sense, too! Him so angry that when he screams, creates a shockwave. Silver is a nice touch, too. I felt like they needed more birds in the flock. Silver slamming down IS pretty cool, but I’d also settle for her maybe NOT stopping when I hit a balloon. Whenever I use Silver, she either hit’s a wall when looping, or go FLYING in one direction when she hit’s a balloon. The Extra Bird Keys are pretty cool and every extra bird has better abilities. Leonard, (which is not a bird), shoots Pig Snot up to three times before exploding on impact. Even though that slot has already been filled a little by Bomb, it’s still an upgrade. Stella makes bubbles by obstacles and Pigs, sometimes surrounding them. Though, a bird making bubbles for no reason is a little strange. Boo to Hal. Hal is my least favorite bird because of his weird turn-around. You never know where he’s going to end up. I haven’t unlocked Melody yet so that’s a talk for another day. I LOVE BUBBLES! He’s my favorite bird. He can inflate even when he get’s hit my something kinda like Bomb. I watch the Angry Birds movie 1 and 2 all the time. Inconsistent but has some positivesI enjoy Ab2 but it does have a lot of problems with inconsistency. For example, the tower of fortune will crash on exit or after watching an ad to continue you can’t click on the cards for rewards. Now this is one small bug stopping you from playing hat dress up of getting a bird leveled up but my main problem is the arena. The matchmaking system for the arena is (from my understanding) based solely of your league and arena points that you get by winning matches. This seems fair until you realize that that has absolutely nothing to do with your bird or flock power and if you just unlocked a bird, It makes it very difficult for you to compete fairly if your opponent’s flock power (which is basically multipliers) is 320 and yours is 280. Another issue is it being pay-to-win. Want to get higher bird levels? Buy some feathers for 10 bucks. Want to beat story mode? Dream on. Still fun if you enjoy the same old thing over and over and over, and winning by watching seemingly helpful ads and some twice a year event where you get more [insert item here]. But if you enjoy classic angry birds, it’s a very good, subtle twist on it with new birds and boss pigs, which I love the concept of. Can’t even play itThe first time I opened the app It was great and I loved it all the levels were exiting and fun and I really liked the bird leveling up system eventually after 30 min of playing I got the knight helm for red which was awesome since it gave me 25 power boost. After I cleared the last boss of the first area things started to get wacky. my once valuable helm was reduced to a measly 3 power boost. I thought maybe it’s just a small bug but then after exiting the game and trying to get back on it left me on the angry birds 2 loading screen and wouldn’t open the game. For the next day I constantly tried to get on to see if my beloved helm was back to normal but instead I just got the angry birds 2 loading screen. After a day of no birds I decided to uninstall and reinstall to see if it was corrupted data that might’ve caused the helm to glitch like it did. Desperate I clicked on the game to see if the game would work and once again I was met with the birds screen so I set my phone down defeated and left my phone on my bed for a while and when I came back my phone hadn’t turned off like it normally should so it was sitting face up on my bed for 2 hours sucking precious battery while on the birds loading screen That is why I can’t put an honest review of this game because I can’t even play it anymore. I would love if this bug is fixed and if it helps this started 2 days ago and my phone model is the iPhone SE I will change my review if I can play again. I hope to see my beloved helmet soon. It’s a great gameI gave this game 4 stars because there only some minor issues. But I love this game because it isn’t hard if you know the right time to activate your birds’ power, or if you know to wait to see if the tower knows it’s self over. Like with the daily challenge sometimes I can get past all three levels, sometimes I can’t, it’s life. Plus, if you fail (you have 5 hearts, and if you lose the daily challenge you lose a heart, but you gain it back in like 25 min, but you still have 4 more) then you can just try and try again. And I like the clan battles because the higher up your clan power(everybody’s bird power together) is, the better rewards you get if you win, and if you don’t at least you get some black pearls(kinda like gems you use to be hats, to upgrade your slingshot and your bird). I also like how If you beat the daily challenge you get an extra card for the eagle bootcamp. So, all in all it’s just like some glitches like once a month, but I love this game. Plus, this one is WAY better than angry birds 1!! EDIT: I forgot to add that I also like that you don’t have to feed your baby bird everyday, and if you’ve play angry birds for about a year now (like me) you would know that you only have to feed your bird every two days and that you don’t have to upgrade your bird. Like mine I like to leave it at level 2 (you feed it 10 apples) because once you upgrade it to level 3 then you have to do 25 apples. Plus, you get to name your bird whatever you want and if you don’t want a baby bird, you don’t have to have one. Current State of the GameAB2 is a “daily play” game- they put you on a 24 hour clock to keep you coming back. A typical session of game play starts out with clicking a bunch of pop ups, spinning wheels, and watching about 15 videos- which they “pay” you to do, with rewards like gems, feathers, pearls etc. The payoff for watching a thirty second long video is about 11 cents (USD) each time (if you look at what it realistically costs you in real money to play the game vs. whatever reward you get). To take advantage of all of the goodies this game offers (regardless of how well you play it) costs you an additional $32/mo USD. That currently buys you 70 gems per day, and gets you a “Treasure Pass” that unlocks more “rewards”. So after going through all of that, the game play itself is actually fun and somewhat challenging- but again, you will spend most of your time doing other things (spinning wheels, picking “cards”, trying to keep some “hatchling” thing alive, etc etc). I find it best to open the app in the morning, and while I’m getting around making coffee and so on I just keep clicking the pop ups, play all the videos (I never actually watch them), spin the wheels, whatever- just to get them out of the way so I can actually play the game later. Again- the game itself is fun, but it beats all others in terms of draining your bank account and eating up your time- in that regard Rovio has hit the ball out of the park. I give it three stars because I’ve played it since the beginning and obviously keep coming back. Fun game, but could people just stop complaining about itI like Angry Birds 2. It’s really enjoyable for me, and a pretty good way to pass time. This is more of a people problem, but I wish people would just stop complaining about it and the company, so let me contradict some points people bring up in their reviews on the game. First off, about the game being incredibly “pay-to-win”, I can see that, but in my eyes, it ain’t that bad. Second out, about all the “bugs” and “glitches”, I can’t really vouch from that, since I haven’t seen or encountered any. Lastly, about saying that the company is “greedy” or “cash-grabbing”, I don’t think many people put this into play: Rovio is only shoving all these ads, promotions, and deals down our throats because they’re in a dire need of money, so they can continue making games for us to enjoy or to stay open. To GoodI’ve been playing this game series for a while, I started to play angry birds, classic, on my dads phone about 6 years ago. I loved it. Then I realized that there was an angry birds 2. That was a happy day. Anyways, I love this game because it is ever changing, so much fun and I love the gameplay, right now as I speak (or type) I am at level 138. There is so much levels and just it’s so good. All the levels are different, plus there’s the daily challenges that are fun to complete. Another reason why I love this game is because the feeling of you don’t have to pay for anything. Of course you can pay and get some more gems and/or chests to boost your level. But you don’t need to pay to access the gameplay. All you need to do is just watch an ad. The ads are great. The only time you need (or forced to) is when you click on an ad. The ads just don’t pop up on a random moment and it forces you to watch a 45 second ad just showing that “ya, you can play x game.” Like I know you can play it, well that’s to decide yourself. Back to the game, the ads just don’t pop out of no where and forces you to do something. It’s a great time killer, I play it in random spots of my day when I’m waiting for food or anything. It’s easy to get lost in the thousands hours of gameplay, I’ve seen people on level 200 that I’m friends with and still say it’s a great game. Now that I realized, this sounds like I’m sponsored by angry birds, but no. It’s just that fun. I love everything about it. And the best part? YOU GET THINGS FOR FREE. Like stuff you would have to pay for in other games. You get a chest every 30 minutes, you read that right 30 minutes. You’re drowning in chests. Genuinely FunThis game is amazing. I’m finally able to play it after 5 years it due to getting a new iPad, since the last one didn’t support the required version of the game. 1 star ratings are more and more common for the reviews of this app due to it “being pay to win” and stuff like that, which is just overreacting. This game is a little more or a grind than other Angry Birds games, which is completely fine. People don’t realize that Rovio needs to make money off of the game, and proceed to say it is bad for that reason. Don’t take their word, and know this is a game you won’t regret downloading. This game isn’t perfect, like all others, having small bugs like certain power ups not working (like the golden ducks), but other than that, there’s really nothing wrong with this game. Fun but has lots of negativesI find this game extremely fun to play but a lot of the stuff is stuck behind pay walls or it’s just really hard to get said thing. Like gems for example, you either have to sit there and watch an ad to get very little gems or you do something that takes two hours or just buy it, which I find extremely tedious and for another example I I am currently trying to get a sort of item in the game and it has taken me hours and I still haven’t gotten it because it’s behind a sort of wall almost because I have to use basically a chance of getting it a very low chance which has made me lose faith in this game, and I wish you could make it easier to get gems because it to get said item. It cost gems a lot of gems that would take me a long time like a very long time and I wish you could make it easier to get said item and said item is the nutcracker hats which I’ve been trying to get as a new player for a pretty long time as I just started about a week ago, so I hope you see this developers and you fix that and fix the daily challenges because the mighty eagle Boot Camp is so called under maintenance, but you make it a daily challenge , so how would I complete? This games better than the firstThis games a lot of fun, it’s way better than the first game. It has better graphics, you get rewards for doing good, there are mini games you can unlock and play if you get bored and half the time ( for me at least ) you feel like your actually there commanding the birds what to do. Although this game rocks I do have three complaints though. My first complaint is about the boss battles, there are only three for every world and after a while it kinda gets old. Why not add more boss battles? When I was young I was a huge fan of angry birds and that means I watched the angry birds cartoons A LOT, but my favorite episode was the one where this fat pig came to take the eggs and the birds couldn’t stop him! He was defeated by Terrence ( the big red one) but why not add that fat pig? He’d make a really good boss battle and he’d be challenging, or you could be creative and make up boss battles. I’m only halfway through the game so if you did add any more boss battles Rovio then my apology. My second complaint is about the ads. There are SO MANY of them, I’m sure some people aren’t having this problem and I’m also sure it’s not the games fault but MY GOD there are so many ads. My last complaint is about that gray colored bird, who is she and why did you add her in this game rovio, she’s not in any other angry birds game or cartoon and even the angry birds games after this she is still not in them, don’t get me wrong I love this bird but she just appeared out of nowhere. IAP-Hungry Solid SequelAngry birds 2 has got a fresh polish to be expected from a sequel. It answers the “how can we possibly make a great game better?” question in several ways. The graphics are rich and flow smoothly between all transitions. The levels evolve and progress in difficulty but encourage you to think critically and creatively. Defeating level after level is rewarding and builds you up for the next level. The multiplayer modes involving clans and competitive mode pit you against worthy opponents. Word of caution however, as there are the downsides. The app has its own pop-up encouraging you to buy into their in-app purchases. At my peak time in playing this game on a daily basis the app will encourage their in-app purchases around once an hour. What’s more is the ever-so-bothersome littering of advertisements of other games. The game even has an auto-jump to the App Store to encourage you to download another game app. While this is expected of less polished games this is rather a surprise of an established brand to have to use such tactics. Lastly, the levels do get repetitive and the “boss” battles lose their luster and become some sort of a sore level after awhile. Changes have made things hard and a drudgeI love this game, and have played for years. The variety is great, and there’s something to be gained from each special event…. Well, there WAS, until the recent changes. These include the Seasons reward system and making hat events unfruitful and discouraging. Getting hats via the Tower was hard before, but playing strategically with my free turns plus a tower ticket here and there usually resulted in getting three or four of the hats each event. That left an achievable amount to complete the set and improve power, considering the hats are 10,000 black pearls each and power upgrades are few and far between once you hit a certain level of play. Now I’m lucky if I get one or two hats per event. It’s too expensive in event coins to upgrade them as well. So something that used to be a delight is now a drudge of disappointment. Absolutely AmazingAs a person who was born in 2010 which was the peak of angrybirds I obviously have nostalgia. Since I was younger I played all the angry birds games, Angry Birds 1, That one Angry Birds RPG, Angry Birds Star Wars, Bad Piggies and the list goes on. Addictive and entertaining, but small problem.So I’ve been playing this game for a while and it’s amazing. One of the best games to pass the time, up until you’re out of hearts. My only issues are that when you run out of birds for a level and depending on luck for such. So let’s say I’m playing a level, on the last room and I fling my last bird. Most of the time, I just barely succeed. Other times, it’s either the bird misses completely or it forced me to pay gems just so the scene can play out even though the bird’s shot was perfect. I’ve wasted at least 180+ gems just to spare a few seconds for the scene to play out and it gets really annoying and agitating because I’ll be doing so well, only to be crushed by disappointment and frustration. What Could be Fun is Rigged Against YouThe game is very clearly made with love and care. It is a fun experience with a lot of variety. Despite the shine this game is also designed to take advantage of you and beg you for money with bad deals. Every screen has an ad and every transition has an ad. These are ads to pay for boosts to make up for the game being rigged. It’s obvious they never intended for anyone to actually play every level. Every level is randomly generated and you don’t get to control which birds you use and when. You get three random birds at the start of a level and you can pick between them but the pool is given to you. You can’t start a level with whatever bird you want despite the level being completely unpredictable. A level could generate with a glass tower but the game will give you yellow, black, and white. You are not allowed to play as much as you want. You can only play when you have energy which the game decides when to give you enough to play. If you don’t have energy you can trade gems for it. If you don’t have gems you have to pay money for them. So you must pay money to play the game the way you want. You can’t restart after a misinput without spending energy which we already established costs money. You are given spells to help make the game easier but you don’t get to choose when to use them. The game will decided when you’re allowed to pick a spell and once you pick it will decided when you can use it. The game will decide how effective it is. Gameplay progression is very fragileI played 60 levels of this incredibly addictive and fun game, and then ran into a extremely frustrating problem. After level 60, you get 3 free Mighty Eagle spell cards, and then the next level is a “tutorial” level where you are forced to spend at least one spell card on each play to clear the level. Unfortunately it was a difficult level and I was not able to clear it with the 3 free spell cards, and this meant that to be able to play the level again and move on to higher levels, I was forced to buy more spell cards with gems. For someone like me, I want to be able to play the base game for free (even if it has ads, I can tolerate them), and spending money would just make the game easier or provide some other perks that are otherwise unnecessary to progress indefinitely. But with this spell card tutorial level, the game won’t let me progress until I finish the level, and to do that I only have two choices: a) wait a ridiculous amount of time for the random number generator gods to give me free gems (via bonus chests or Wonder Whirl spins), or b) pay to buy gems, which I just can’t get myself to do. The tutorial level is designed to not count towards anything else in the game (it’s after level 60 but before level 61, it doesn’t cost any energy to play it, etc) but somehow it eats up your spell cards. But if it’s designed to teach you how a particular spell behaves by forcing you to use one, it should give you that spell card for free, so that you can’t end up in this spell card deadlock. Fun, but a lot of downgrades from the originalWho created this game? So many problems I have compared that weren’t present in the original. First of all, the heart system is absolutely awful, this game gets hard in the later levels, so having to wait twenty minutes after failing a few times for just one more chance before waiting another twenty minutes is just atrocious. Also why is there clans in this game? Literally no reason to have clans in this type of game. It’s very clear they were just added because people like online features in games. My biggest gripe is with the way the levels go. You have your cards randomized at the start of each level, which is pretty annoying but I would let go if not for the fact that there are several different randomized layouts for the same section on the same level. It makes it so you can’t learn the ins and outs of a certain section, because it could be different every time, this combined with the randomized cards at the start can make some levels over before they even begin which is completely out of your control. Needs workIm here to write about something I tend to see nobody else talk about. some levels you'll have a regular group of pigs but you'll have on pig thats so high you cant even get the pig so tour just out if luck. Thats so irritating, the only bird that can possibly hav a chance is chuck, Matilda, or Stella, but Matilda and Stella still can hardly reach the pig and what if chuck isn't on of the cards you can us in the deck yet or he's already used. Sad state of the “mobile game” industryI don’t know if this is a major studio doing a cash grab or just the state of mobile gaming, but either way it’s disappointing. Rovio recently re-released the first Angry Birds game under their new “classics” line for the original price of a dollar, and I had an insane amount of fun with that- it was easy to see why the game became a hit in the first place. Since all the other angry birds games have been pulled from the app store, I figured this one is next to try. What a complete 180! This game is nothing but a monetized, ad-riddled mess. There are a few interesting twists, like picking the order you throw the birds and getting bonus birds for good scores, but everything else seems designed to strip away strategy and push micro transactions. Not angry birdsI played this game every day for about a month and it fell off hard after that. It’s just not fun. All the levels are randomly selected from premade setups meaning you’re constantly seeing the same levels over and over no matter how far you make it. The randomness also makes difficulty meaningless. Easy levels can be nearly impossible and hard levels can be unbelievably depending on how the level generates. Literally the best strategy is to restart each level until you get something easy. Just do the first section, restart if you can’t do it with one bird, rinse and repeat until you win. There’s very little challenge even when you do the other things besides the main part of the game. The clan stuff was interesting, but it was taken directly from another game so I can’t give much credit there. The game is also pretty greedy. They clearly want people to spend money and it’s very cringe the way they do it. For example, you have daily challenges that you can complete for extra stuff and you get a bonus for completing all the challenges, but one of the challenges is claiming a daily reward or something and you can only claim those by spending real money. It’s not a free thing. I finally stopped playing because I was getting tired of the game and it stopped working. I’m not sure what happened and I don’t care. Very BadThis game is bad on so many levels, so here’s all of them. Starting off this game is ‘freemium’ which means that ads play after almost every level and there’s optional rewards/other incentives for watching them, which wouldn’t be so bad if the original was nothing like that. Two, it promotes gambling with loot boxes and an actual casino mini game that is essentially all or nothing, something that was also absent from most of the previous games. Thirdly, they are almost certainly stealing your data. Four, the game size is absolutely ridiculous with how much space updates can take up. Five, the heart system where if you fail a level you lose on of six hearts and when you’re all out you can’t play unless you watch an ad or wait 30 minutes. Last, but certainly no least, the levels are randomized as the structures you are meant to destroy can be completely different even when you replay the exact same level. In other games in the series each and every level is unique, but in this one they were too lazy so they decided to just randomize it. I loved the original and several of the other games as well, and I spent hours playing them, but this is just sad. If you want a good game, then buy the original. Highway robberyAngry birds was the greatest game, and they have made it awful. For context, in the original angry birds I got 3 stars on every level and got 100% eagle feather on every level. I’m a fan. But this is not that game. They penalize you severely for having to back out of a level, which is your only option if you don’t know the level yet and waste birds, or if you sling a bird incorrectly. This severe penalty for backing out is a gimmick, because you have to pay steep gem prices to continue to try to win, and they miserly dole out gems in the game. So, you have to pay A Lot of money to get gems. And without gems, the game is awful. Every level is engineered not to make it challenging, but to force you to waste birds like there is no tomorrow. Pigs are scattered all over the screen each sitting on their own balloon, forcing you to use bird after bird after bird to try to pop them all. Its not challenging. It’s not even fun. It’s just unbelievably frustrating. I’m deleting this game after giving them an embarrassing amount of my money. I thought with leveling up I would do better and have more fun, but it just gets more and more aggravating. There is no way to play enjoyably without spending $20+ a week. Don’t download this game. Fun game, glitchyThe game itself is mostly fun (a bit frustrating when stuck but not enough to make it unplayable). Progression can be done without pay to play but would be faster if you’re willing to pay. I’d probably give it at least 4 stars if not five, if it weren’t for the glitches combined with poor customer support. Some of the glitches can actually be fun, like when a tower starts to fall before you fire, or more rarely when a bird manages to fly to the next level from the previous one. The more annoying glitches can be quite frustrating, such as birds firing before you release, scores not being recorded in competitions, and not getting rewards after watching a video. To a degree, so glitches are expected and what can make or break a game is the customers support, which is the biggest fault I’ve found in the game. I had a support ticket closed with a reply or reason, which is fairly rude. I had another support ticket in which the customer service rep replied telling me it’s a connection problem on my end and a lot of people are currently experiencing them. I tried to explain to the rep that I had connection with the server and supplied what I thought was decent evidence. Good game, has its moments…This is a good game, don’t get me wrong, but it has more bad things than good. I’ve loved angry birds since I was a baby, but this one just isn’t my favorite. First of all, and this might be a common opinion, but there are SO many ads. Occasionally, they’ll take you straight to the App Store even if you don’t tap it, and that is so agitating. As games go, they usually explain something to you about how to play, get better points, etc. I downloaded, logged on, went through “tutorial” where 2 birds were used to hit 2 different things with no explanation as to how make the best hit or score bigger. A devolved gameAngry birds 2 has sadly devolved from great arcade flinger to money hungry sequel. I played this game for a while and eventually stopped do to finding out how to be the best in AB 2 is to pay. The campaign levels quickly fall in monotony and you will see recurring structures a lot, and eventually to get so good at it that it’s no longer fun. There’s no replay ability because you always get three stars no matter what. What’s even worse is that campaign levels more rely on a lucky shot or well timed tap with bomb, or whether you got a couple of spells or not. The mighty eagle boot camp is just a way to show that you must pay in order to better than the guy next to you. If you don’t, you’re stuck in the middle for the rest of your life. Don’t spend money on this!I liked this game so much I bought the gem letters every month just so I could complete the daily challenges and level up my birds. I joined a clan and interacted with others and it was really fun. After playing for over a year all my progress was gone forever. Apparently if someone in your clan doesn’t like you they can get you banned permanently by complaining that you cheat or something like that I’m not sure how it happened but I logged on one day after someone who was removed from my clan told me he was getting my account kicked off if I removed him and he did. My account was banned for cheating according to the screen when I logged in. I contacted support and not one response other than our decision is final and no inquiries could be answered regarding my issue. I don’t understand how they can treat an actual paying customer this way. I’m aware that people cheat and I know the get kicked eventually but for me to spend 100+ dollars on this game just to be banned with no explanation or response of any kind other than we aren’t answering questions about my matter. It’s sad but on the plus side I have more free time and apple refunded all my purchases for the past 2 years. Editors Choice!? Really Apple? Please Re-review! Not the same Angry Birds!The game play of bird flinging is certainly fun, and developing strategies for toppling the levels is always a fun challenge. I believe this is what Apple is rewarding with their “Editors Choice”, from many years ago. Fast forward to today, and this game has evolved into a frustrating, disastrous money-grabbing Rip-off of both time and money. In order to compete against other players for the Daily Challenge; Arena League; Mighty Eagle Challenge; Clan Events; and special hat events, you will need to invest at least $100 a month to keep up with the good players. (Not sure how these players keep going?). You also will still be subject to multiple external game ads (major time wasters, some showing violent content) as well as internal flashy ads to activate this/that/buy gems/packages/advances. Also, you will be subject to poorly executed buggy software releases that either crash the game, or result in a frustrating level of advance that in some cases will require you to play for YEARS in order to complete a single hat collection. Management seems to be completely out of touch. Guessing the SEGA purchase might have pushed the more experienced people away. Maybe making movies is more important to them? AdsOk don’t get me wrong this game is extremely fun and addictive. there’s really no main problem I have with the gameplay, my problem is with the adds. Now the game tells you there’s no pop up ads and that’s correct. However in order to play a level you need to spend 10 energy. Only being able to have a maximum of 60 energy. So after about 30 minutes you run out and can’t play. So how to you get more? Ads. You have the option to watch and ad for 10 energy or you can refill it for 60 gems. The problem with that is that gems can only be earned in specific useless event junk. I try to avoid that stuff because I only really play the main game. See the problem? If you aren’t willing to grind other annoying junk then you have to watch adds or spend money on more gems. That basically means that if you don’t want to spend money then you have to watch and annoying add after every level! Now the levels themselves are decently long, averaging around 5 minutes. Ruined!When the first started playing a few years ago, this was a fun game. Lately, shortly before the new ownership and now with the total transfer of ownership, this game has gone downhill. The Arena was changed to make it almost impossible to win. The Daily Game, where you could count on receiving gems, has gone away to some other event where you collect tickets or feathers, has taken over. You have to play all day for several days to even come close to winning gems. Now there’s constant glitches where the game freezes and when you finally get back in, the rewards you won are no longer there. Sega promises you’ll receive what you lost when you do a support ticket or when they’re aware of the issues, but you never do, or you’ll receive feathers. Feathers for gems or pearls, sure, that’s fair. Also, it’s nothing but a way to grab real money from the players. If you want gems, buy them. Angry Birds originalI miss the normal angry birds. This game only wants money from people. My dad is an avid Angry Birds player, I even bought him the original Angry Birds once they started charging for it but now he’s unfortunately stuck with this game. He’s shown all his kids and we’ve gone on to show our husbands and friends and nobody actually wants to play once they realize how irritating it is to keep up with it. It’s an app asking for money at this point, you get limited everything and they want you to watch video ads alongside the money they hope you spend. Poor level design, money-grubbingI played the original Angry Birds when it came out, and beat every single level with 3-stars and continued through the multiple incarnations until this game. The levels of the old games were interesting and challenging, with mechanisms and chain reactions that were very ingenious. They built exotic shapes, had moving pigs, RG machines, etc. The levels of Angry Birds 2 are extremely lackluster. They are merely towers or piles of random blocks strewn about, with no interesting design or shape. There are really only four or five stage designs with various incarnations of these towers in all the levels. Sure, they are full of gimmicks, but I remember when Angry Birds levels were shaped like interesting objects or had movement. Moreover, the levels are extremely frustrating when they aren’t extremely easy to beat. The use of those God-awful balloons and wrench-throwing pigs is cheap. This is not what makes a level difficult. This makes it annoying and frustrating. My skill is not tested by a pig throwing a wrench against a random assortment of birds, or tiny balloons holding up stone edifices that are impossible to hit. After all that, you have lives as well, instead of infinite retries. The only reason for this is that you will use them up, then be forced to watch entire deceptive ads for “Gardenscapes” to scrounge one life at a time. This is how Angry Birds makes it money. All luck, no skillThis is what an Angry Birds game looks like now? Very disappointing. I played the first six games and really enjoyed them. "Angry Birds 2" is the twelfth in the series and seems to have forgotten what made the originals fun. Different birds with different attacks and carefully constructed levels made a challenging test of skill. But in "Angry Birds 2" you get all the birds in every level, and the layouts are a random (procedurally generated) hodge-podge, meaning that you can complete them with nearly any bird. Success depends mostly on the luck of what layout you get. Worse than that, this is the most "gamified" game I have ever seen. It uses every highly-addictive trick to keep players coming back and grinding on its tedious levels. There are at least 7 different timed rewards at different intervals, one of which is a tamagotchi that you have to feed every day! Rewards come as "card flips" where you play a game of five card monte that encourages you to spend to get what you missed. Power-up sets encourage obsessive collecting. Leaderboards, leagues, and clans promise public glory and social connection. And if the insidious and pervasive gambling, intermittent reinforcement, and social pressure weren't bad enough, the game is also lousy with buggy, intrusive ads that are often unskippable 30 second videos that forcibly open web and app store links. Shameful. I give this game the lowest possible 1 star, plus one bonus star only because of the quality of the artwork and play mechanics. I just got a reply this morning, on May 8th, telling me to update my app and let them know if I was having any of these issues. Changes made. Game ruined.I’ve been playing AB2 for about a year or so(thanks Covid). It was thoroughly enjoyable and then they started making changes that didn’t make much sense. They weren’t open to any kind of feedback. Only your typical canned responses. Yes, canned. I could open 2 support requests, get 2 completely different people, and get the exact same word for word response. Recently they change the way the arena is played. The arena was the best part in my opinion. Rather than pairing based on bird power(how it has been) they decided to base it off of arena points. At first I thought it was a glitch where I’d be paired against someone whose bird power was so much greater than mine but, nope, they confirmed it. You will now be matched based on arena points. Since the change, I have been out bird powered in EVERY single match. Not by a small margin either. The closest I saw it was I was a 73pt underdog. The most thus far has been 274. Meaning before the game even starts, I have to hope they mess up or it’s guaranteed loss. I gave them 40+ screenshots of my opponents starting bird power vs mine and they said “you have to beat them on skill”. What? Lol when my most powerful bird is outpowered by their WEAKEST bird, you can’t win. I was getting blown out. They don’t care. They just pushed more ads in my face. I gave it 2 stars bc of the amount of ads for certain things, ad length(they seem to be getting longer by the day), in game changes that make it way less fun to play, pairing/matchings in arena and in clan play. Glitchy game with substandard customer supportI have been playing this game for a while and in the beginning it was pretty solid, minimal glitches, freezes or other issues. But in the last month+ it has seen an increase of crashes, freezes and glitches that force a reset and result in loss of progress or rewards. One issue was with the daily challenge that was experiencing a glitch that resulted in having to reset the game. The game treated this the same as failing the challenge resulting losing multiple streaks. When I reported this, the acknowledged the issue and provided a work around but there was no offer to compensate in any way for the rewards/opportunities lost by the error with the game. This week during a run on the portion of the game called The Tower of Fortune which is random choice mini game to win various rewards. This section of the game generally very difficulty to win a large amount of items on without paying out gems which are the “in game” currency. Occasionally the game will allow a good run and a player can receive good rewards. This occurred early this week however the game did not save the rewards received but did deduct the the gems I spent to play in the tower of fortune. When I contacted customer support I was informed that the have “very strict” rules about compensation and that they could not verify any rewards that I received so as a result they would not provide any compensation for what the game failed to provide. I have continued to talk with them about this all week but feel as though it is now just an auto generated response.
