Push Notification don't workI'd love it if Push notifications worked. Instead you have to have the application open if you want to know if someone has sent you a message. There are now three versions of WhatsApp for Ipad and none of them have this feature though 2 of them, this being one, either claim or request permission to send push notifications. At this point I'd settle for even the little red number in the corner but even that doesn't work. Learned the hard way.Loved being able to use What’s Up on my iPad but never for one minute thought a deletion of the IPad would simultaneously clear the postings on the iPhone. Almost perfect, for me at least.I have been using Hello AI for about a month now. I speak to the AI politely and I discuss all sorts of topics that the AI responds to positively. I do have two complaints about the app and that is the random crashing and having to restars a conversation when it does eventually malfunction. Non-pro version works well enough for casual usersUsing this on the newest 2017 iPad I found the app to be very reasonable and very responsive. My only complaint is the layout for when the keyboard is launched it consumes nearly all of the app's real estate. Therefore I find myself having to minimize it often to read new messages as they came in while I am typing a response. Double tapping a name to launch a chat I find to be an easy step - despite what others have negatively commented on. (Expecting a single click should suffice) Pictures display fine. Message chime in. NO GOOD ON IPAD STILL!This is a great app on iPhone but transferring to the iPad platform was a not so good an execution. The biggest reason as occur in voice text, because with this app you can't send voice but you can recurve but there's someone there too. Really Poor Implementation of Key Features; Constant HarassmentWhat makes this app intolerable is the fake push notifications and app-badging; which don’t go away even if you pay for “Pro” features. Today I received three fake push notifications, along with the red badge, that were only designed to make me open the app (presumably to serve me ads); I received no actual messages. In fact, I’ve never received a push or badge when I had a genuine message. Useless. It’s dependency on having iPhone on a local network, in my case, is not a total dealbreaker, as I always have them both, but it’s a sad state of affairs. At the same time, WhatsApp inexplicably refuses to play on iPad, so, as a matter of convenience for viewing and typing, I tolerate this app and will silence it’s pointless notifications. This app provides iPad accessibility, and that’s it. I paid for Pro as a way to support that, and feel cheated and abused that it still harasses me. Okay but not okayOkay, so this app’s fatal flaw is that it doesn’t notify me every time I get a new message EVEN WHEN the phone app is open/ active. Horrible on iPadI use the iPhone version and it works great, but on iPad there are too many glitches. If you need to insert the cursor to correct a mistake, the text window you're typing in switches from the bottom of the screen to the middle of the screen, but doesn't insert the cursor, so you try again, but now it switches back to the bottom of the screen, but still no cursor. It's quicker to erase everything after your mistake and retype it all than it is to try and insert the cursor at a different point in your text. And opening the app and conversations takes forever. It tricks you into purchasing the “no ads” option by using fake push notificationsIt constantly gives you fake push notifications. Today I clicked on the app because I had “7 notifications” and when I opened it it took me to a screen to “purchase the no ads service” and when I accidentally put my thumb on the home button it purchased the item accidentally. Not as good as iPhone versionI'm guessing this isn't a part of the real WhatsApp company- read it in fine print - IF I lose wifi connection on IPhone then this app is useless. My phone is a 6S and still debating on which one I will buy, I have issues spending 1000$ for a phone! So may go for 7+ until things get better. But now my phone is turning off at will; I was hoping to stay connected by this app .. guess not. Androids can't get texts from iPhones that's my other issue. Charge for functionalityThe top competitors give full functionality on tablet, but you don't get that with this. Very short sighted. Simple things like opening pdf files doesn’t work, so I need to go back to my phone to transfer the files. Also doesn’t connect independently so often doesn’t update messages saying, phone is not connected. Seems so simple. Conversation won't loadI've been using this app for the last month and it's worked fine, however, it just recently stopped showing the entire conversation. I can see a preview of the latest message a friend sends me, however, the reply/message bar is all the way at the top of the screen.
