C&O Canal Explorer Customer Service

Issues mentioned in earlier reviews seem to be fixed, you can easily plan from home by scanning the trail for points of interest and amenities. The photos are helpful (I was between two restroom options and from the pics I chose the bath house over the portables!) but where this app really shines is the background information and historical detail about all the sites along the way. I could’ve hiked right past the Clara Barton house thinking yeah that’s cool without knowing the story about the roller coaster built around her house in a failed attempt to force her out. I’ll probably still use All Trails, google maps, and other tools in addition to this for more involved planning, but the info in this app is a treasure! Well worth the .99 for history and detail you won’t find elsewhere.

I’m enjoying this app while walking the C&O Canal trails. Photos, information, and landmarks are useful and interesting. App gives real time location so it’s easy to tell how far to the next destination. Plenty of links to external sites and maps to help plan and learn the history of the canal.

It seems to work well. It’s .99 cents. Go for it

„Navigation“ is not intuitive or helpful, especially for planning. The „Getting Started“ section says there’s a map, but I can’t find it AT ALL! I would return this purchase if possible. I guess it’s a donation to the Trust but not a planning tool for the user. It may tell you what’s just up ahead or behind you on the path but if you’re trying to plan from home, this is not useful at all.

Difficult to navigate. Not very useful for planning trips. Somewhat useful while on a trail but only so far as telling u how much further to next spot on trail.

It’s nice that so much is listed but the information isn’t current or correct. Imagine riding 40 miles thinking a restaurant you were going to eat a steak at has been closed. Double check everything if you’re relying on this

Just downloaded on both iPad and XR and it has had a spinning wheel for 10 minutes on both devices. All else with devices is operational. Refund please.
