Already great service!I needed to use this Metropolis for a job. I tried to register my car on the website but it wouldn’t let me. I downloaded the app but, I still couldn’t register my car. I tried a couple more times just in case I was just going it wrong (even though it is SO simple!) and, I ended up having to call customer service. I got a response within the first minute and had my issue resolved within 2-3minutes! Thank you again! ConvenientI can’t say it’s a bad app especially when I need parking at the DMV. SO YEAH IT IS HIGHLY USEFUL.
But I had found myself utilizing the app for the first time at the DMV and paid for an hour parking, come to find out that the DMV only accepting people with reservations at the moment (spring field ) which was disappointing so I had tried reaching out to metropolis for some support only to say they don’t give refunds WETHER OR NOT I STAY FOR THAT AMOUNT TIME! I also was told that it’s like a meter, correct me if I’m wrong, but with actual meters we have an option to put how much quarters in the meter, for time we estimate needed. unlike this where you pay for an hour and don’t need it then your out the amount you paid for that hour versus a meter if I put a quarter just to check if I can be seen at the DMV and came across that hiccup I would have only lost a quarter NOT $5.

Easiest parking everWas able to find a parking garage in Nashville for a concert within feet of venue. I have never ever in my life wrote a single bad review. This is a first - I am extremely frustrated and angry, speaking from a multi-month subscribed user.
I subscribed to the Metropolis monthly parking since May 2024 and I unsubscribed it in July 2024 - I removed my license plate, I tried to remove my credit card but it doesn’t let me, and I received the prompt that “cancellation already exists” in the app so it is reasonably for me to think this cancellation has been taken care of. However recently, I discovered Metropolis has been continuously billing me since my cancellation in July. I reached out to customer support several times for a refund and they are not helping - my app still shows that my subscription will renew autonomically on November 1, 2024 even that I have unsubscribed a million times and the back-and-forth email with the customer service for cancellation help. Not user friendly and does not refundWe recently visited Nashville and our hotel used this parking platform for their parking lot. Our reservation was from Friday evening to Sunday morning so we selected the 48 hour time frame. There was a glitch on the card information page so we had to refresh the page and re enter the card information. After entering this information there was no additional confirmation page before the booking was completed. It was only after the booking went through that we saw the permit length had changed to longest allotted time of 96 hours (2x the cost of the initially selected 48 hours). There is no way to change the length of the booking online once you it is confirmed so we immediately submitted a help ticket online. Even though we would not even be in the state of Tennessee for the extra 50 hours that had been added to the booking, they would not change the duration of the booking or refund any money. I pay for monthly parking but still got a parking violation. The violation was for a neighboring lot and with a typo on the license plate. Their online tool to lookup violations doesn’t work so I needed to call them. If you call them and there are no agents it hangs up on you instead of letting you wait. When I did get an agent (Rebecca) they were very empathetic which was nice so shoutout to them for trying to do everything in their power but customer support is not able to look into these and relies on the same tool above so I have to email them. Last time I emailed them (when I bought the spot to confirm all I had to do was pay monthly on the app) it took them 3 days to get back to me. Fine…when it worksThis whole automated system sounds like a good idea in theory, and it’s fine when it works. Except it doesn’t always. I have to use it when I go grocery shopping in a major city because it’s the only parking lot…but the other day, the gate opened to let me out (which should only happen when the thing senses your car’s license plate and knows you don’t owe any money because you haven’t stayed long enough; the first hour is free at this lot), except apparently the camera didn’t actually see my car. Because it didn’t close my parking visit and kept charging me for a whole day. I contacted customer service and was told “welp, we have cameras so you weren’t overcharged.” And then they just closed my request. So…I guess I’ll be parking blocks away and carrying my groceries now? “Drive in drive out” with a ticket!Steer clear if you haven’t budgeted $100 for parking. I LOVED Metropolis and thought it was such a great company & service revolutionizing the parking industry. I live in a rural area now so I don’t come in town as often, but I used to seek out Metropolis lots for the convenience of parking.
Unfortunately, the other day I drove in to a lot I’d used many times before. I didn’t get any verification texts which I thought was odd, but sometimes they take a little while to get through, so I trusted the service to work as it always had. As I was driving home I noticed a piece of paper on my windshield and lo and behold, it was a ticket with a $100 fine! Dispute was rejected and couldn’t be appealed, and I was instructed to pay up. Fine, I’ll do that, but that’s the last money this company will ever see out of my wallet.

Terrible, horrendous and absurd wait timesI made a reservation at this lot (38 west 46th street) for august 28, 2024 from 12pm-3pm. I extended via mhy phone to leave at 5pm becuse my meeting ran late. However, the wait time to leave the car with the attendant to take the key and the wait times for retireving my car after requesting were ridiculous and unacceptable. I had to wait 30 minutes just to be able to drive in to the lot to have them take the car depsite my reservation. And when it came time to retrieve the car, i had to WAIT AN HOUR AND A HALF after requesting the car ! and for some reason there were people who showed up after me that got their car before me and after they were waiting maybe 10-15 minutes tops! THIS IS ABSURD AND UNACCEPTABLE. I will NOT be using this lot again and i will advise anyone and everyone i know not to use it either. Don’t Store Your Payment Form!!!Go anywhere near a Metropolis camera and they’ll automatically charge you - without any consent - if you have a payment form on file from use elsewhere! I highly suggest ensuring you don’t save a payment form in their app/account.
Had to attend a job onboarding session at a parking structure featuring Metropolis. As instructed by the tenant, I did NOT park in the Metropolis managed lot. I did NOT open the gate, nor pass through the gate. I parked in a permitted spot as instructed. A Metropolis camera happened to capture my license plate, while turning into the spot, and automatically charged me without any verification or consent. Simply because I had entered a payment form for use at a different parking structure months ago.

It is often unclear how expensive lots are until you actually pull into them. This is incredibly shady. They also have variable rates, so the price of a lot may not be the same from one time of day to the next.
Others I know who use this service have reported being charged for tickets, towing, and booting with very little customer support. If you find yourself in a similar situation for minor infractions, do not expect Metropolis to work with you. They will give you the runaround, and you could be left footing a $100+ bill for their mistakes, lack of communication, or otherwise unethical practices, with very little recourse..BabbleAxeVersion: 2.1.23
Continuing to get charged even though I leftThis app has ZERO in person support. Everything is done over a support ticket/email and the support person keeps asking me for the same thing. I had a rental, parked and then left but I’m still getting charged for parking even after showing them my rental car receipt that showed the car was returned - theres a time of return along with the car info such as license plate. There’s no way the car can be in 2 places at once but the Metropolis rep keeps asking for a pic of the car and license plate - because we all make it a habit to take a photo of our rental cars right???

Beware unannounced rate changesTerrible experience with customer service - felt like I was talking to a wall. Got charged $11 to park for 39 minutes in a lot that provided the first two hours free parking. Sent screenshots, including of previous experiences parking in this lot without being charged. Apparently, the rates changed at some point within four days despite the lack of any signage indicating as such and there’s nothing they can do for a refund. Absolutely ridiculous. I miss the days before Metropolis took over my local grocer’s parking lot.
Also the customer service reps continually mark tickets as “solved” immediately upon responding to a request, which is absurd. CrooksAll of these five star reviews have to be falsified. Once they have your credit card and license plate combo on file, they use it as permission to charge whatever they want with absolutely no recourse or consequences. Prices, policies, and terms of service are all hidden to intentionally confuse the customer. Customer service, even at the supervisor level, patently refuses to provide reasonable explanations or even consider a refund. They’re building their empire off of people that don’t have a clue what the parking price is, but once the cameras scan your license plate, your card will be charged and there is nothing you can do about it. Pick upDrop off was great and easy. Using the app to pay and request my car was even easier. My problem came when I walked out of the airport to pick up my car. There were no signs of where my car would be when I finally found my car the valet attendant explained that he didn’t want to pull my car up to the airport because he didn’t want to deal with the traffic. When I explained that if he wasn’t going to pull up to the airport he needed to have a sign of where to go he proceeded to tell me at least my car was there to be picked up. ScammersI parked at the parking garage at 3939 stateline rd in Kansas City, MO. I received a violation notice in the mail with the inaccurate date and time of entry/exit and am being charged a $70 violation fee for a $12 ticket. This feels like a scam as the signage on the garage is not user friendly especially for those who have never been in a garage of this type. This was my first time parking in this garage and will for sure be my last! Beware of hidden event ratesMy wife parked in a Metropolis lot for train service to DC. This usually costs about $9 for the day trip which is fair. However the last time she parked there, the cost was over $50 because of an event rate charged every 6 hours, in 6 hour blocks. No signage at the lot and no notification of the event rate until the final bill. In my opinion this is an extremely dishonest practice (but I am sure it is profitable). I asked for a discount and was denied twice with their support stating something like ‘we post it on our website so that should be good enough for you’. The worstThis company took over the garage at my work. They increased the monthly and daily rate. Multiple cars have been broken into due to lack of security. Terrible customer serviceThey manage parking at Parkline Miami and they owe me money because they kept charging me after I moved out of the building. At first, they said they would process the refund. 6 weeks later and they have started ignoring my calls and messages. I’ve been calling the manager Julio every day and he just ignores me 99% of the time. When he does respond once in a while, he says he will give me an update but inevitably never does. They are scamI traveled to Detroit,MI and tried to start a visit for my somebody else’s car. It started to charge my own car which is in another state and didn’t even entered that garage. Pay attention to the ratesI have been using this app to park at my local store ever since they took away the physical ticket option. The app was fine though, 2 hours of free parking, same as the ticket was. Until they upped the rates by 75%, and didn’t tell anybody. It went from two hours of free parking to 30 minutes, and I’ve been getting unknowingly charged $10 every grocery run from the beginning of this year that I’d been parked for 30 minutes and 1 second. TerribleI was charged more than the amount posted outside the parking garage, and asked their support to refund the difference, since you can’t leave the garage without paying. Their support basically said not their problem, and I should have checked their app before parking there. They went in to say they only have to post the most common price for the lot, and that the can charge whatever they want for events without honoring the posted pricing. This app is terribleI can’t even think of the right expletives to use in this review. There’s plenty that come to mind. The software rarely works and results in erroneous charges. I have had to reach out to their customer service on multiple occasions because it won’t register my visits until many hours after the fact (way past the point of my validations working). Deceptive CompanyI was forced to use Metropolis to pay for parking in a garage and they did not make it clear that by paying to park, they were saving my personal data and credit card info to their site. Not good for making deliveriesI went in to make a delivery and had to drive all the way to the 8 floor parking lot to drop off food delivery and they charge me $7 for being there for exactly 12 minutes. Worst Parking Experience I Have Ever HadI parked at their Down on Grayson lot in San Antonio, entered my car and payment information, and was told I could just drive out of the lot to pay.
I did so, and received a 37 dollar violation. Not to mention, I was eating dinner where my parking was validated and should have been free. They refused to accept my proof of signing up for the parking, and my receipt from the restaurant, and they still charged me for the violation; albeit I was able to get it reduced to 17 dollars.
Even so— it is not my fault that I drove out of the lot and it did not charge me. All of my car and payment info was correct.

Paid for parking and still got a ticketI paid for parking I even took a screenshot because I know these apps are scummy. They couldn’t find record I paid until I pulled up the receipt. Now all the sudden they could? But they said I didn’t park in the right location. I literally scanned the qr that was ON this parking space.

Very badly designed authenticationThere’s only one way to sign up which is through your phone number. I’m on data plan and had to turn on roaming just for using the app. There’s no vending machine at the parking station and I can’t turn around. It is a forced sale.
