National Weather Forecast Data Customer Service

This is my favorite weather app by far. The app makes it so easy to get weather forecasts for very specific locations. This is particularly useful for people that like to hunt, fish, hike, bike, boat, etc in the great outdoors. Weather and its ramifications can be quite different over just a few miles due to elevation changes or other physical features. This app is the best for figuring out the different weather at the bottom of the valley vs the top of the ridge. I have tried to use the NWS point forecast tool. It is very very difficult on a mobile device. This app makes getting those point forecasts super simple. Just a really easy to use well designed stable and reliable but super powerful weather app. The best!

We live 7 miles north of the Rio Grande River. We’ve managed to grow Mangoes, Papayas, and Star Fruit in our very large yard. All three are quite sensitive to freezing temperatures. The trees can take a fair hit, but the blooms and fruit are very fragile. The “Hourly Forecast” that’s available on the app’s front page is incredibly helpful with its, geographically accurate, point forecast in determining how and where to use limited resources to protect the trees, blooms, and fruit. So far we haven’t had to deal with a hard freeze this winter but thanks to the app, we’ve been able to sleep with a high degree of confidence that we’ve done all we can to care for our trees and their fruit and blooms.

I live in SeaTac Washington, and I have remote cabins in the central Cascades of Washington state and another one in Willow Alaska. The cabins are powered by solar and the Washington cabin has a Starlink’s Internet system. I’ve tested this app in my area by climbing 2000 feet up a mountain next to my cabin and I’ve taken temperature differential readings between the my cabinet one elevation and 2000 feet higher. And the temperature readings were accurately reported on the app. That’s pretty darn amazing. I’ve tried many weather apps over the years and this one is by far the easiest to use and incredibly accurate.

I’m very impressed with the graphics of the widgets showing visual pictures of different areas/ regions in different colors… They show clouds & storm systems (IE atmospheric rivers ) entering Northwest Washington state US .This helps us Plan on best woinwalking condition with our dogs…😁🐾 I contacted developer support and I had a reply within about three hours… then with a few tweaks I had my widget again after a developer upgrade just for me and my Apple SE original phone… How awesome is that!😁that’s awesome developer if you ask me😁

I had been a paying member of the Weather Underground from 2005 till whenever corporation that took it over put an end to that wonderful site. Their mobile app had become especially unworkable. This week I decided I could no longer tolerate the disgusting ads so I went looking for a small independent producer and I am very pleased with the results. I miss being able to go to the radar layer and watch the storms approach but I can still do that on my laptop. Maybe there is even a way to get radar on this app?

It is to my attention that this application is well detailed and constructed with precise software that keeps the numbers running smooth and efficient. Still need to dig deeper into the application as I am transitioning over from the desktop version from my online. I like that the forecast discussion is tabbed at the bottom that way I can read the forecast instead of being told the forecast. The devil is in the details😉

I love all of the detailed information that’s available. I’ve especially gotten hooked on the hourly forecast as I use that to time my pool pump when we have a scheduled freeze at night. Had a small issue that turned out to be a setting on my phone but got great support in figuring it out and resolving it. Highly recommend this is your main source for weather information.

Before I downloaded this weather app I had seven others and they all do several things. However, most only do one thing really well. This app does everything well. It is absolutely the most accurate with regard to temperature at any given time during the day. I’ll probably end up deleting most and perhaps all of the weather apps and end up keeping this one as it is really all that I need.

This is one of several weather apps I keep on my home screen. I also love the GOES widget option - that stays in a smart stack on my home screen, too. I've even had occasion to ask the developer for a fix & found him to be extremely responsive & passionate about the app. The Hourly graph presentation of the forecast is particularly useful to me as a quick way to scan upcoming weather patterns. Lastly, as a CWOP weather station owner that is also on the Madis network, I really like the app's capability to show these weather stations, since they're typically more accurate than some that are shown only on Weather Underground.

Nothing but great things to report about this app- it takes a while to get used to the map system, but otherwise it’s a straightforward way to get a daily weather report based on national data that’s more accurate than what Apple is giving you without putting (extra) money in the hands of questionable corporations.

I use this app all the time. Always checking the forecasts satellite maps and computer models. It still seems to have an issue updating the NWS Zone forecast if I’m in another location. Otherwise, everything else is excellent! Great to see you are on top of the updates as well. 👍🏼

Houry forecast with dewpoint and windspeed and direction and other info all on one screen is extremely useful. Using dewpoint is a much better way to determine how humid it feels than RH and of course some other apps dont give you windspeed and direction so with this you can plan for windy days as well as temperature. The radar is a still radar, not animated but is still useful. The developer receives email and responds promptly to feedback and suggestions.

It’s a really good app that I found to replace another app that was no longer updated for new ISO updates. I like this app because it has a detailed text forecast, giving approximate times for precipitation or weather changes, versus horrible, meaningless graphics. It’s accurate and reliable.

There is a lot of information, unfortunately, perhaps partly due to my ignorance, it is not the easiest to navigate. I am not certain of all the acronyms for the different charts, so I end up poking around awhile until I find what I am looking for. Perhaps some explanations for those of us who are not meteorologists to make navigation a bit easier.

I’ve found that NOAA has the consistently best weather forecasts, and I used to keep a browser tab open to see what was coming up. This app relays the same local weather information and adds nearby station observations as well. This app is a favorite, and I refer to it daily. Recommended!

This is the best weather app I’ve used. I can quickly access the data I need without having advertisements distracting along the perimeters of the screen. There is so much data! Wind, rain, snow, weather stations nearby, alerts…this app has it all.

Nice weather app with a lot of great features, most of which one won't find in other weather apps. The widgets are excellent. Satellite images from GOES. Radar overlays on maps. Ability to choose from hundreds to thousands of zones and point sources for current conditions. Excellent app for USA and North America. NOAA and NWS forecasts and conditions. All nicely presented with an intuitive interface. I use this app and Hurricane Tracker. I wish there was a macos desktop application. It's obvious that a lot of thought and work went into this application's design and implementation. Well worth the price point.

I found the national weather service website helpful as a commuter by Bike after losing my vision to drive. But i'm deleting the app. Thanks for rubbing salt in my wound. Only those who have excess funds can afford to get data that might help keep them safe.

This app gives us accurate weather forecasts including expected snow fall levels, storm warnings, and up to the minute weather changes - vital for Colorado living. It’s so much more reliable than the competitors. Glad I found it!

Simple and clean. You won't get all the glitter of some weather apps but in exchange you get ease of navigation. Love the hourly forecast table with dew point, predicted precipitation, etc. - almost everything you'd want to know in one place! I do wish the row headers to the left of the hourly forecast table stayed in place rather than scrolling with the data, but that's a small thing.

Much more data intensive app, with less superfluous fluff, which often disguises a lack of content. Excellent program! Coding is clean and efficient. One wish: a landscape orientation option. I have this app on both my iPhone and iPad. Landscape is my default viewing option on the latter.

This is the most straight forward weather app I have ever used. I’m an airline pilot so I get information from many weather sources. When I want to know what the weather is going to be on the ground, this app is by far my favorite.

This combined with RadarScope is really all you need. I was using the free version for months and recently switched to paid. It’s one of the best out there and makes the darksky- type weather apps look downright silly. Highly recommended!!

We farm on an island in the California Delta, 45 miles inland from San Francisco at the terminous of the San Francisco Bay. Surrounded by water, it is a unique micro climate, unlike those nearby. This app always gives us the accurate information we require, regardless of those close to us.

For years I looked for an app that provides quick basic information about the current weather, This is a great app both accessible and practical. You will find me using this app daily.

I have no use for the mainstream oversimplified weather apps, and have long preferred the state of the art NWS localized forecasts. This app packages that data, especially the immensely valuable hourly charts, much better than the NOAA website on a phone browser. Very easy to find the spot forecast for nearby points, too - just tap on the map.

Highly accurate, easy to read and understand format. They are right more than wrong-especially in Spring and Summer; yet a bit less accurate in my area during Winter here in the Memphis area. That said I know snow and ice are very difficult to forecast just right. DTY

Good data but... Needs to lock the left column of hourly data so as you scroll through the days you know what row is which data Needs to rotate to landscape view when user wants Needs dynamic radar Could use better surface charts and progs.

I have a seasonal yard work business but I’m outside all year. This app is the most accurate overview of the coming weather of the 4 apps I use. I don’t plan my day without it.

I needed a quick way to see the local NOAA weather office text discussion, but most the other apps don’t include this, or make it very difficult to find the text. This one makes it easy to read the latest narrative update.

After an OS update yesterday, the app is back to normal, works great again! I’ve happily used this app for years on a 2d gen IPad Pro, but recent update has made it unusable.

I use a lot of the “free” weather apps to track snowy weather. The format of this one suits me best for short term and I find it quite accurate in the overall scheme of things.

Really enjoy using this app. I find it to be one of the better weather info apps available. My only suggestion would be to make the legend a bit easier on my eyes. Differentiating the colors of the small squares is somewhat difficult for me.

I would like for it to send a notification when bad weather approaches your location.

Fast, accurately reports changes as they occur. Quickly and effortlessly change the geographic scope from a city to global then return to a local view.

I’m not interested in hype but need to know what’s really coming an when. I’ve been keeping a daily rainfall log since 2007 and this weather app is the only app that mirrors my rain measurements.

Simple format, straight-to-the-point, and the free version is ad-free! If the NWS is up, this app is up - but easier to see what's in store. Been using it for quite a while and am sticking with it.

Shows tide charts, barometric pressures, wet and dry bulb temperatures, humidity, relative humidity, annomometer? wind speed and directions, hurricanes, cyclones, tornadoes, lightning strikes after occurring, atmospheric conditions, parts per million air pollution, and I’m sure there’s more but I slept since then... Oh and the 5 types of clouds and ultra violet index. Rodger Out.

Has just about every weather forecast data imaginable. Awesome app! One improvement would be if the app would show the calculated "feels like" temperature, rather than trying to figure it out from the temperature, humidity and dew point.

I downloaded the app about a week ago and then found out that hourly forecasts require the Pro version. But I didn’t see any price listed or detailed explanation of what this includes until after downloading. This needs to be clearly communicated up front. After posting the above, I did receive a very quick response from the developer saying that they will consider my feedback for future updates. So I can say that I’m very impressed with the customer support! However, paying an annual subscription fee is still asking a lot, for my specific weather app needs. Based on my experience with the free download, the forecast maps and current radar are rather slow to load compared to MyRadar. And for daily forecasts plus a while lot more, Weather Bug Elite fits very nicely with my needs and budget. The Living Earth app has spectacular graphics and thousands of forecasts worldwide. Those are the apps that I consider as my baseline for comparison. 🙂

After taking the trouble to install the thing, you find that the app provides absolutely zero weather information, unless you pay the developer’s extortion. The free version you think you’re downloading does not exist. Furthermore the “no tracking information collected” statement refers only to the nonexistent free app. After you pay your money and get the pro app, the developer will take virtually all of the information off of your iPhone, look you up on all the social media and and steal all the information they can gather there, and trade this information with data aggregators, before selling the sum total to advertisers and anyone else with the money.

I appreciate the ability to quickly view raw NWS data. That said, some simple charts is the data similar to what NWS provides on their website would be nice. More importantly, the lack of a current conditions pages seems like an oversight? For this to be an all-around useful weather app, I really want to be able to open the app and see what the current conditions are. The next hour in the forecast page doesn’t match current conditions all the time. Please add a current conditions page

This was my go to weather app after accuweather went to crap and only showed their over simplified forecast, but this app has gone down hill in the last year or so. It used to be a simple app that showed the radars and forecast, now the radar maps are hidden and there are a bunch that are not really radar maps anymore they are predictive over lays and recently it has wildly incorrect, like it is telling me that it will be in the 90s and snowing for the next few days.

I live in Prescott Az. And my home is located in a higher elevation than where actual town is and the weather is different than town area. I thought by buying this app I would get weather prediction on my location. Dark sky always gave the weather at my address. But with this app. Not the case at all and weather discussion does not even have Prescott area on it. Very sorry I bought this app, thought I was getting more than dark sky app but I guess not

I was bummed when NWS Now went off. They had clean and understandable tables and info. Even a meteorologically challenged person like me could get it. I thought this app would replace it. Not even close. Their radar satallite is streaming and it takes forever to download and you can do anything with it. The hourly section has a lot of data that is not user friendly to me. The only thing I keep it for is the NWS Discussion, which isn’t theirs anyway.

Every time this app is updated, I hope a long-term bug has been fixed, but it’s still there with 1.4.8. I open the app in landscape mode on my iPad, and it shows me the summary. So far, so good. But if I then click on “hourly,” everything flips to portrait mode. Even worse, the only information available is wind speed and direction. The data above it is blank. This happens most of the time and is unique to this app.

National Weather Service doesn’t own it, they bill you within three days and yet they never stated anything like this when you download it and you have to turn it off so they won’t bill you if you agree to any of it and then they trace you and everything you do under their jurisdiction says it in black-and-white and they’re a little terms of service agreement it’s 100% scam don’t use it

I wish there was better visual summary of the seven day forecast. Then below would go into detail. It's more difficult to scroll through and read each day with small visual. Wish I could hide the map. Once I pick my location I feel I don't need to see the map any more and larger view of weather detail. I like data and hourly detail. The summary could be better presented

What happened to the 7 day hourly forecast? I’ve been enjoying this app for years and now one of the most useful features has been removed. Don’t tell me I now need to be a Pro user to access this feature?! Help me to improve this rating please.
