National Hurricane Center Data App Comments & Reviews

National Hurricane Center Data Positive Reviews

A naive one among seamenIt was NOT his first rodeo with storms but mine. When I asked husband, a retired USN Captain, was he good with booking the Caribbean beach trip during hurricane season, he said yes. I did book travel insurance that included cancellation & evacuation thinking we’ll leave ahead of storms to be avoided. My experience with storms or living by the sea is just watching the news to see what’s headed in my direction living inland. Then like buying a car, sightings increased as attention to hurricane season threats became popular news items. My concerns about cancelling mounted and focus shifted to what would guide decisions to leave. Asking our son with over 30 years as a first responder that include 20+ in USCG how to monitor for threats — since the “local” newscasts would be Florida-based not our little island — this app was 1 of 2 he sent. SO… when reports of the tropical storm named Helene escalated, this app was SO HELPFUL to provide details that my husband who had lived a decade in NOLA assessing storms that could prompt the fleet to relocate could use now. Meanwhile this app helped me manage my anxiety and decision-making, especially amid the howling winds and pouring rain when the sea state seemed it would reach us ashore. Later as I and others most sadly learned again, forecasts are not the ultimate source of outcomes and the force of water. This app certainly helped this storm newbie and her old sea dog avoid heading home too soon..Version: 1.52

Absolute best app for real data that’s also easy to understand. This app is critical for anyone who lives in an area with tropical weather/systems. There have been hurricanes where the data in the app (which updates at the same time meteorologists get their update) gets to me faster than the news on TV/online. Living on the Gulf coast of Florida, anyone that’s been here for the last few years knows how many storms have been down to minute changes in course or strength to determine when to evacuate or change plans. This app keeps you 100% up to date and I highly recommend the subscription. With the subscription I usually have a 1-2 day lead on storm development before the news is even talking about it. There are so many features and maps and graphics that I feel like real meteorologists must get about the same data if at all any more. TL;DR This app is as good for the average person as it would be for a trained meteorologist, and is the ONLY app you need to be totally prepared in any hurricane..Version: 1.30

Love It!This app is great for monitoring systems in tropical regions. The information provided in this app has been accurate, timely, and up-to-date with developing systems. I have used this app for over a year and it is a great tools I would highly recommend anyone that lives in a tropical area get this app. It is easy to use and provides the necessary data to track hurricanes. It is not perfect, but I have noticed updates over the last year and am optimistic the trend of improvement will continue. One thing I would like to see is for areas that have the right conditions be reported. It does show areas of interest but there is a delay in the reporting when conditions are right for development verses when there is confidence in something developing. That may not be significant for some, but I am a nosey planner and like to know what is going on out there even if something does not develop. One thing I love are the spaghetti models! Those are fascinating to me..Version: 1.40

Indispensable During Hurricane SeasonFrom June to December, this is the very first app I open on my iPhone or iPad. Having lived at locations throughout Florida for over 65 years I have experienced more than my share of hurricanes and tropical storms. It is essential that you keep yourself and your family safe by being prepared and knowing what to expect. This app provides the latest data from the National Hurricane Center and it follows tropical systems from their creation until they disperse. Utilizing data from a variety of sources, it provides crucial information on the projected path of these systems and the dangers they present regarding intensity. I use this information in deciding what preparations I must take to protect my home or whether to evacuate to a safer location. With the growing number and intensity of these storms impacting larger areas of our country, it is absolutely imperative to stay informed. This app provides a wealth of timely and crucial information..Version: 1.52

The best hurricane data source aggregatorThis app is simply the best for tracking storms, gathering data and displaying it in useful ways. A variety of model tools are available. The app, and especially the Pro subscription is worth every penny if you live in an area susceptible to hurricane impacts. The Developer support is terrific, the developer responds quickly to questions. Updates and improvements just keep coming and the app is getting better and better. I do wish the developer would embrace “dark mode” or simply modify the screen colors to tone down all the white space; the menu screens would be so much more pleasing and easy on the eyes. Finishing up with another hurricane season coming to an end. I wouldn’t want to be without this app, even after hurricane season is over. The model forecasts are great, providing up to 16-day forecasts that show future storms across the country. As a traveler, this app keeps me informed. Worth every penny!.Version: 1.30

Must Have Weather AppI live in Florida and keep a close eye on the tropical weather, fair or threatening. I do not have a subscription for advanced features but find this app invaluable! I appreciate the detailed information regarding systems that pose a potential threat. The choice of various types of satellite bands help paint a clearer picture of what is going on; it’s great to be able to select the different aspects of a weather system, such as atmospheric moisture, cloud cover and formations, etc. I refer to this app every day, especially during hurricane season, reviewing current conditions. I am appreciative, as well, of the geographical satellite coverage in addition to the “whole picture” area images. It’s also great to see what’s happening throughout the country, thus giving you an idea of what systems may affect your future weather. Much of our weather is dependent on systems throughout the US. A must have wherever you are!.Version: 1.42

Good reviewI have lived in the panhandle of Florida for the past 35 years seeing many hurricanes come and go. What I have learned is that no two of them are totally alike. This app and you people are great in what you’re doing for us. I feel that the criticism from some in Ian’s path recently are unfounded. We were hit by Michael four years ago, so I know how bad it can be when it comes to your back door. People are too ready in this time to try and find someone else to blame when they make an error in judgment You guys are doing your job very well and I ask you to please keep up the good work. Florida has such an influx. of people that are new and uneducated in hurricanes, but become experts overnight. You guys are doing a great job. Please don’t let these few negative people hamper your efforts. We appreciate what you do. Thank you and keep up the good work!.Version: 1.15

I ignore the tv hysteria and use this app insteadThis app with its cone of possibility/probability and it’s spaghetti graphic are all I need to know to decide for myself what conditions we would face. What the real time trending and tracking of the hurricane means to me and my family home here in the Orlando area. For example, it was apparent early on the Helene would not affect our area, but it would batter the Gulf Coast. On the other hand, watching the key elements of the spaghetti graphic for Milton, I could see that it was trending further south, such that the wind gusts at my house would still be intense but the sustained winds would be below hurricane strength. This was particularly important to us because we were stuck in Europe due to the Orlando airport being closed. Once you get used to using this tool, you will likely be able to know what to expect and when to tune in..Version: 1.52

Can’t live without itAs someone who lives in a hurricane prone state and has lived through a cat 5 storm, I was thrilled when NOAA came out with this app so that I can find all the data I need in one place. The radar images are particularly stunning and the forecast information provides enough range to make educated decisions about timing of evacuations and such. I also don’t have to hear overdone weather forecasters hyping situations up (though, in fairness, it’s not a real hurricane until Jim Cantore appears on screen fighting the elements ;-) ). I appreciate that I can get basic data at a glance as needed and do deep dives into the science when I’m curious. If you want an app that gives you no nonsense information, this is the place to find it. (If spaghetti models terrify you, however, stick with something more basic.) Thanks NOAA et al for this fabulous app!.Version: 1.7.16

My go-to from June thru NovemberHurricane Tracker is my Go-To app for Tropical Updates from June thru November to stay abreast and in-the-know. I’m a Gulf Coast resident and hurricanes are just another part of life like grocery shopping and retirement planning. There’s lots of places to get my groceries and lots of places to invest my future, but quality and performance rule the day. That’s why I trust Hurricane Tracker to be my eyes and ears for hurricane awareness - Quality & Performance. I can quickly get the info I need to make fast, situational-awareness planning decisions from a logical format. If the situation warrants and I need to dig deeper, the latest information is all in the app for keeping me abreast of the current state and the predicted projections. Quality & Performance..Version: 1.45

Ok...not great. This app is marginally better than going to the NOAA website. Push notifications are nice. Satellite page loads all of the loop images before displaying. What if i don’t want the loop? I have to wait for all the images to load? What if i have a slow connection? The interactive map is beta quality in my opinion. It takes forever to update; you need the eyes of a five year old to read the minuscule fonts on the storm. Oh, you can zoom in and read it just fine....that is until it updates then back to the fonts for ants. Tapping on the storm does nothing; does not bring up any info. I would pay $20 to get Hurricane Pro or an equivalent app back. So far I have found nothing that even comes close. Some features in the latest version of this app may be worth $2 for some. For me only because nobody can seem to put out anything better..Version: 1.1.6

Tom Corcoran, ag2,USNNot bad, but mapping is too tiny for any intelligent reader,( particularly the smaller screen size on a phone, for example) to buy, particularly the size and direct intensity levels to be “possible”, not actually expected. It creates a slight “panic” edge for readers. Topography has major impacts, as well as intensity, more education on those factors reduces the “oh God, we’re all gonna be killed, or just crushed!” Perhaps more pre placement, or directly educative programming can do millions of dollars of simple pre-education before they wake up and say “now I understand, and can “rate” and understand what they are talking about!” You NEED to developed your “on camera, or “on air folks to reason and % of probability tools to a) provide information , and b) earn the RESPECT of viewers by verifiable data, and WHAT IT REALLY MEANS, simply with Reasonable back up data, and pix’s!.Version: 1.48

2024 early seasonThis is the second Storm I am using the app. I like having all the info I need in one place. Most of us boaters use 3 or more weather forecasting apps and this one is a bit different. Having the spaghetti models of this one plus the models of my other apps all tie together the questions I will have to answer in the next 24 hours. I think the app will help with this. How far above flood stage might the Nuse River rise. If I have my boat hauled out is it high enough that my boat wont float off the blocking- Do we need to make a run from New Bern NC to Portsmouth Va as our marina cant take 60 mph gusts. It seems that some people do not realize app uses NOAA products but is an excellent non governmental app..Version: 1.48

Another FloridianI count on this app for information I cannot get from anywhere else. I live between areas of TV coverage…a weather no-man’s-land. I can track storms with the spaghetti models, look at various satellite imagery and make my own decisions. To me, this app is a life and/or property saver. If I could improve it in any way, it would be to have the ability to filter spaghetti models. In the 7 years I’ve been using this app, I find the UK model seems to be the most accurate. Most recently, it was the only one that most closely predicted the track of Ian. Now, it appears to be predicting the track of Nicole to my doorstep, it’s just hard to tell with the jumble of the rest..Version: 1.15

Earned a spot on my home screen! This app is one of the weather apps that stays on my home screen, even when hurricane season isn't active, because the availability of the forecast models within the app is extremely useful. During hurricane season, of course, it's indispensable - not only is virtually every useful hurricane forecasting tool included, but the app doesn't constantly dun me for additional money. It also has a very simple UI, which makes it easy to find what you're looking for. The app also doesn't waste my time with notifications that are only about the app - I love the usefulness and unobtrusiveness - it's got what I need, and nothing I don't..Version: 1.38

New user to this appWe live in the midwest, own 2 houses in St. John, USVI. We were hit hard 2 years ago and have been using the NHC NOAA website daily during hurricane season. Just found this app today. I like the different map views. They provide quick and easy differentiation to multiple aspects. Also works well over the mainland. I would like to see these maps in action for the next official hurricane. I had no issues whatsoever giving 2 bucks to the store. 2 suggestions: Larger Atlantic overview if possible. All these storms originate from the African coast and I couldnt see that area very well; also it might provide a larger picture if the app would rotate to landscape view when i turn the device sideways. Thank you to the developer for all the work you have invested..Version: 1.2.8

The Best Tropical Weather App By FarI spent many years looking for the best tropical weather and Hurricane tracker and information app I could find. I found this one and it has been the best. This one beats them all! While most apps become stagnant with age, the developer of this one has not only maintained this app, they have improved it by adding more features, more information and more model runs with every hurricane season. I look forward to each spring to see what new features have been added into the app. Every year it’s something else, from historical data to new products and info, it has everything I want and more..Version: 1.40

A must for storm tracking.I check the weather report every morning, and during hurricane season I’m constantly pulling up this app because they let me know about a possible storm even before the Weather channel or my local news apps do. I live in Houston, so being warned about a possible hurricane could mean the difference between life and death. Usually there’s plenty of time, but not always, especially when living so close to the coast. Any advanced warning is greatly appreciated, so if you or those you love near anywhere near an area ripe with hurricane traffic, I strongly suggest you get this app. It might even save your life..Version: 1.15

CompleteI live in South Florida. Get more complete and comprehensive information here than from the local meteorologists. This app isn’t constrained by an allotted time like local broadcasts. Planning ahead is so much easier. One can access the spaghetti models days ahead of the time one sees on the weather forecast locally Get my supplies done, thereby avoiding the huge crowds rushing to buy them in the last fee days before a storm is actually approaching. Another plus is being able to acquire them without the potential of having to make multiple stops because stores have run out of some of the things you need.Version: 1.51

The Best Hurricane AppI live on the Gulf Coast in Mississippi. Hurricane Katrina destroyed my whole neighborhood when it hit. I rode out hurricane Camille in 1969 when I was a child. I’ve been through all the Mississippi Gulf Coast hurricanes since the mid 1960s. That being said- This app is hands down the greatest tool for understanding these incredible storms. I love the hi-res satellite photos, radar animations, And frankly more data than I am capable of understanding. It’s a wonderful tool with all the available filters on the radar images, I didn’t realize there were so many ways to look at storm data. Try it, you’ll be impressed with what’s available with this quality app..Version: 1.7.22

App is getting better all the time.I wrote an earlier review that was less than positive. Soon after I was contacted by the developer. He is working hard to make this app one of the most useful hurricane tracking apps available. One update has been added; another is on the way which allows users to keep informed with potential storm developments. We’ll check back here again when there is a named storm. Thanks for the improvements. The developer’s willingness to listen constructively is an added bonus! Go to Settings and find a direct link to the National Hurricane Center website. This is a real plus. This app just keeps getting better..Version: 1.0.7

Best Hurricane App!I live along the Florida coast and I cruise about 30-40 weeks a year and this is by far the most helpful hurricane tracker I’ve found. When on cruise ships, and people get worried I open the app and show them where the storms are headed, help people plan other routes home, or give them peace of mind when our course changes. When I am home, I can prepare based on the potential storm tracks instead of based on the news media hype. I watched local forecaster’s bad acting holding onto a pole for dear life due to strong winds while 2 locals walked into a restaurant across the street holding an umbrella with zero issues..Version: 1.35

Great app and getting better with every release!I’ve been using this app for a while now. Originally, I was just looking for a way to view NHC images easily on mobile. Their web page isn’t the greatest on a mobile browser. When I found this app, it was exactly that. Not many features at that point, but it worked well and was easy to navigate. Basically, it just had the images along with a radar. Every release since then has improved the app and there is now so much interesting information. If you live in an area where paying attention to hurricane forecasts is important, there isn’t a better app!.Version: 1.6.7

My GO TO Hurricane appI have been using this app for a couple of years and have been extremely pleased. Living in Florida and having a home on the water can be stressful in the event you need to evacuate. This is the only app I use to get right to the facts and alerts without scrolling through a lot of unnecessary garbage. Plus it updates very quickly and has all the information needed. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanted to stay up to date on tropical weather systems. In fact, most of my friends have started using it after they see how user friendly it is and how the current information is easy to find..Version: 1.6.7

Great App for hurricane updatesIn my family we have been using this app for servers years! We really love it because it gives accurate information with no advertising and no exaggeration! We depend on this app during hurricane season! We check it every day and we discusse the info frequently! I hope this app continues to help Americans during the hurricane season, with climate change this app is becoming indispensable and we have no need to be sorting through advertising when what we need is to dive right info vital info! Thank you for this app! Thanks for the great job!!!!.Version: 1.40

Glad to recommendI am a retired USAF Officer and have been asked by Hurricane Tracker to write a review, and I am delighted to do so. Hurricanes are one of if not the largest weather threats to the lives and economy of our nation. It is vital that everyone have access to accurate, timely information about tropical storms. How these storms develope and track were vital to me while in the USAF, and ever since. I have found Hurricane Tracker to be spot on with timely alerts, accurate tracking, and prediction of hurricanes paths. Please also be aware of local and state alerts regarding evacuations should storms and hurricanes threaten your community..Version: 1.52

Hurricane Survival using accurate informationI am a Miami Native currently living in North Ft Pierce of course the coast is a hop jump and a skip away. I survived Hurricane Andrew and knew that monsters were real. Thankfully I am not a fan of the dramatic and just wanted the facts so I can make myself ready to ride the storm out. I am disabled by MS and a widow but I’m not a quitter. I downloaded this app after my husband passed away and it was up to me to be able to take care of myself and my home. Without any of the dramatic effects of the “weatherman” I am able to see the latest updates and current advisory to be able to relax knowing that I have the right information and the best people on the job. I recently read a book about NOAAs beginning with the gathering of data to predict tornadoes! Wow I have to remember that there are really good people that are doing a job that no one applauds and that is without the public paying for the information. I just wanted to let you know that I have been around for 61 years and seen my share of hurricanes, my Dad worked for FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT many years and was superintendent of the trouble office for several years before he passed. He was never home during the hurricanes but he made sure that we were safely boarded up and he explained all that he was going to inform us 6 children that we had to do the safety measures and nothing else except for that. I believe that I survived Andrew because of the current information that I had through NOAA and of course the hero of that day Brian Norcross. Thank you for your consideration for the rest of us that want our weather without the dramatic “The sky is falling” danger of the storm. I understand people are not always prepared and they need to be able to make the preparations in advance and hopefully after Andrew, Katrina and Maria to name a couple, they have a little more information on the fact they will die if they believe that it will not be as bad as the news says so it’s a good idea to get drunk and watch the storm on the porch, well I guess I have said all that I am grateful for as much as possible and most importantly the folks that make the entire operation possible every last person that is a part of NOAA is to be commended for the dedication to work without any validation from the people you save every day. Thank you and know I am a fan forever, Miss Debra Coyne.Version: 1.6.12

My (and should be yours) Go To Hurricane AppI live on the Gulf Coast and have been through my fair share of hurricanes 3 of which were cat 5s. I have also had multiple “hurricane tracking and info” apps … many were very good. However, nothing holds a candle to this! It provides early, detailed and concise weather info to keep you informed and prepared. I’ve used the Pro version for farther-reaching data and forecasts to make both decisions for my business teams and my own family. This IS the definitive app to have if you, or your friends and family, live in hurricane prone locals!.Version: 1.36

BETTER THAN 5 STARS!!!How do I love thee app, let me count the ways :) This app is so easy to use. As others have said, the developer took free information, put it all in one place, made it easy to navigate, and doesn’t charge for it. Who is this person or people? Don’t they know that they should charge a lot of money for this? Seriously, I would gladly pay money - a one time purchase - for this app. GREAT feature: the developer puts a note on pages. For example, today we are watching hurricane Laura approaching land. He / she / they have a note explaining that the website is getting so much traffic that it will probably load slow, just wait and it will load. And this app is FREE. I am learning from the notes, I am getting all the information I need, and this app is FREE. I think everyone should have this app, and check out the other apps by this developer! I now have 4 apps from this developer, did I mention that most of them are FREE. Yep I kinda like this app..Version: 1.6.9

Peace of mindWe live in SW Florida and experienced Ian. We were in California visiting family when we became aware of the storm. Because of this app we were able to accurately predict that airports might shut down before we got home on our scheduled flight. We were able to get home earlier and in time to shutter and lock everything down. We travel a lot during summer, so depend on this app to know what might be in store back home for the next week or two. The ability to somewhat anticipate hurricanes gives us great peace of mind..Version: 1.45

What the Pros Use during Emergency Response PlanningThis app was recommended to me several years ago while I was working in the public sector during a meeting with the coast guard while prepping for hurricanes. It gives you the ability to see what the forecasters see. The long range models, HD sat imagery, projections, everything and more. I oversee facilities for a Fortune 500 company who provides front line and first responder support and services. I refer to it regularly as I plan response and project storm paths for emergency management. Highly recommended within our response organizations..Version: 1.52

Go To App Hurricane IanI cannot recommend this app highly enough! Before ,during, and after the uncertainty and stress of Hurricane Ian, this Hurricane Tracker app became my go-to source for accurate and timely updates. The interface is user-friendly, allowing me to quickly access vital information when I needed it the most. The detailed tracking and expert analysis provided by the app were simply invaluable. A heartfelt thank you to the developers for creating such a reliable and essential tool for those living in hurricane-prone areas. Truly a lifesaver!.Version: 1.38

Totally works for meThis app is my go-to for any hurricane information. I like the ability to select a storm or see a full ocean view (Atlantic or Pacific for example, especially helpful during peak season with multiple storms). Then I can select details about the storm and get not only maps and forecast cones but detailed specific info provided by the National Hurricane Center. Detailed and Public advisories are available. I use this often during the summer and multi-times daily when storms are headed our way, like today with Hurricane Nichole!.Version: 1.15

Hurricane tracker is now a paid service?Where does your funding come from. Hasn’t it been the government? If it is, tell me what needs to happen to keep this critical service free! Many people rely on the direct information supplied by this site. Many weather services are not as accurate to your location as this site. Following the entire Trac and having an idea about your specific location. Please keep it free. Charge a business if needed. Please keep it free for individuals. This is truly an irreplaceable service..Version: 1.51

This Is THE ‘Go-To’ Hurricane app !Lots of hurricane tracking apps out there. I have several of them downloaded on my phone. But I end up always going to this one FIRST when a storm is brewing, and rarely even bother with the others because this one has all the information I need. What makes this one stand out? Clean and simple design and layout, ACCURATE and up-to-date information straight from the National Hurricane Center. Everything you can get from the NHC NOAA site, but in an easy to navigate layout. Best hurricane app available!!!.Version: 1.42

GoTo App for Hurricane Forecasts and TrackingThis is an excellent app for watching models of approaching storms. Forecasts can change during the course if a storm but these are generally very reliable and it’s not surprising (though it probably should be) how close some long range forecasts turn out to be. I routinely check it for 16-day storm forecast tracks and the 16-day GPS model to get an idea if anything is brewing out in the Atlantic. These are well in advance of reports by any weather service. It has numerous forecasts and models (probably more than anyone could want or need). I love it!!!.Version: 1.7.17

The BEST Storm trackerYou can not find a storm tracker that will give you more information than you will find in this app. I literally have thousands of apps, but very few I pay a fee to subscribe to. This is one that is well worth the subscription fee. Having used this for years I have found that this developer really cares about his app, as witnessed by the constant updates. Not just by clearing out small bugs that happen with any app, but by continually adding more function and more data sources to make this THE BEST STORM TRACKER APP..Version: 1.7.16

Excellent and necessary weather appI wish I had known about this app when lived in south Texas, where we were in the path of at least 4 hurricanes or tropical storms. If we still lived there I would subscribe to the Pro version. Viewing NHC information on my iPhone or iPad rather than having to access the NHC website makes this app very convenient. Information is easily accessible making it quite user friendly. The radars rock! Even though we now live in north Texas with no coast near us, this app is still a favorite..Version: 1.15

All time favorite app, till death do us partThis app is incredible, absolutely marvelous. Not only is it amazing at updating you on hurricanes all the way through their development visually, it also informs you on every detail in writing. It has satellite images of the entire United States, Mexico and Caribbean, as well as a few others and they are constantly updated. It even lets you know when there are typhoons on the other side of the globe. I can’t understand anyone that doesn’t love this app. It’s pure perfection. Get it. Don’t even think about it..Version: 1.4.1

Good but has room for improvementI downloadedthis app because I wanted to track hurricanes in my area and it looked really helpful. It is helpful but it is very difficult to use. First off it feels like there is too much going on on the app so it is really crowded and is hard to find what you’re looking for. Second it uses terms that people might not know and is confusing to operate. I hope this reaches an employee or app developer so they can read this and hopefully improve the app, but overall it works well and is not a scam like I thought it would be..Version: 1.48

The Best all Around Hurricane AppThe information provided in the Hurricane App is very compressive. It covers a lot of information in one location giving early warning to people in the project path of coming storms. The area of coverage is extensive and detailed for future projected path, expected intensity, and other weather that could effect the path way of storms that can develop into tropical and hurricane storms. Look no further for the best in kind application for PC, cell phone, and watch storm prediction. Thank you for such a great application..Version: 1.16

Vetted info. No hype or hyperboleI’ve lived in Florida for over 30 years. The most frustrating thing about hurricane season are the newscasters and their sponsors who make money with their predictions of doom and gloom. We lose confidence in them, and then fail to adequately prepare when the situation truly requires it. This app provides the information we need to know in an easily accessible format. It stays current and allows us to exercise our own judgment based on information from well established and respected sources..Version: 1.15

My go-to app in hurricane countryI live in South Florida and turn to this app first every time a tropical system approaches. There is no editorializing or commentary, just aggregation of National Hurricane Center and local weather service official publications — which is perfect. The NHC is amazing, but their website isn’t the easiest to navigate. This app centralizes the resources I need to help understand my risk. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because, first, I’m a tough crowd, and second, there are a few small areas that could be made even better. For example, I’d like to see the location in the UI of Update and Local bulletins switched, and it would be nice if flood and storm surge products were more prominent (water kills more than wind!). Local watches and warnings would also be a great addition; they’re basically the only thing I need another app to check. Kudos and huge appreciation to the solo dev, who’s created a truly useful resource..Version: 1.15

Great app! Shows everything from spaceMy son lived in NOLA and this gives my by the second imagery when hurricanes head to the gulf. Plus I live in Southern California we’re in Palm Springs we don’t get much rain but it’s nice to know when it’s coming, and to see if a winter storm is on the way. You can see where the clouds are thick or thin. Are used to work on the satellite programs when I was in my 20s in aerospace and it’s nice to see it all come to fruition. They use GPS, internet and satellite tracking and more. Your app is the best I’ve seen so far. Marlene Mendoza.Version: 1.6.12

Incredible for $9.99!If you’ve bounced all over weather apps trying to get a look at hurricanes, this is best $$ you’ll spend. Detail, detail, detail — and high resolution images. With major hurricane season predicted, I decided to go for it and was just amazed. Even has animated future maps for US weather, flash floods, etc. as a bonus. My only request would be for links to good explanations of what some of these tools do, e.g. all of the satellite image filters. I love learning this stuff and look forward to many idle hours of tracking in upcoming season..Version: 1.39

Very nice, but...I really like this app, and it is the only one that shows me all the map and charts I want. Love the spaghetti map, which is hard to find online. The only problem is that after a few uses, it disables any touch commands on my iPad Mini4 and locks my iPad Air 2 in portrait mode without having the locked mode show up in the command panel or settings. For both problems, only a hard reboot will let me use the iPad again. I have seen this before in apps that only offer portrait view on iPads, and really hope that a landscape view will be a forthcoming improvement and bug fix..Version: 1.1.12

Category??I wish there was one update shot that is brief with just a few facts. Hard time finding the Category info and actual real-time data such as, what did the Hurricane hunter find for wind speed, at what time? Yes I know they only update a few times of day. Did the speed increase or decrease since last measure, did movement speed increase or decrease? Just a few quick details on a single screen would be extremely useful instead of having to go through pages of data. Everything else is plentiful. Maybe it is there and I am just looking in the wrong spot..Version: 1.1.12

Only Hurricane Tracker You will Ever Need! The Hurricane Tracker takes information from NOAA and the National Weather Service, and combines it, into a very easy to understand view of the wind strength and direction, predictions of where it will head (spaghetti strings), comprised of many weather sources. They also tell you the water temperatures in the direction of the storm. They give you where the earliest Tropical Storm winds will arrive, and the cone of affected area. I’ve used the app for many many years now. It’s the only one I trust..Version: 1.39

Outstanding and consistent!I’ve been using this app since moving to Florida. It is consistently the best app I’ve found for tracking storms and for keeping track of potential weather issues during hurricane season.
