After playing for a YearWhen I originally got this game I was upset to find out that you needed shards to unlock characters. I had made a purchase to get Thanos but I actually was only buying shards. In order to unlock characters, you need to collect a specific amount of shards for a specific character. I think the game should make you more aware of this when you first start off, because your first few characters are given to you for free and I had no idea about the shards. Once you get past that, the game is just amazing. Plenty of marvel characters to chose from and work for, some make you feel accomplished for all your hard work and effort, while other characters can sometimes be surprisingly weak. The gameplay is very fun and has great graphics for a mobile game in my opinion. The devs are also always delivering new content, characters, and events to keep you busy. Once you start to learn the game inside and out, like I have done over the course of a year, the game really starts to shine. You start to figure out ways to beat the pay-to-win system, and you can definitely get very far without spending a single penny. It just takes time, effort, and some wits. Be sure to log into their website for frequent free rewards and bonuses! Another thing that the game kinda speeds by is the importance of getting into a good alliance. I was fortunate enough to receive an invite to a somewhat strong and busy alliance. We don’t talk much, but we all do our part and collect the rewards. I love this game BUT...This game is an amazing game it is fun and enjoyable I love all the characters but some are players can’t get those great characters I spent all my money I saved up to get what to supposed to be at most 50 character shards I spent like 650 power cores or whatever there called and got 1 character shard and it was not even a good one I was saving up for the spider-verse pack and I play all night and almost get it then I wake up the next morning and look in the shop and it’s gone I really wanted carnage another thing I don’t like is the price of the packs for what they actually give you they should be less they should keep the price for packs which actually give you a good amount and decent characters a weird thing is I love kill monger he is an amazing character I used most of my things to level him up but I got him to level 35 and I lose all my level up points and he is not even better than my level 26 shield medic my medic is way better if you can consider this it could make this game a little easier for people who are new to the game it is easy for people level 50 and higher they get good stuff but under that is is very hard to get good characters also I have character ideas Star lords dad the creatures from infinity war the black alien things when they raid Wakanda and Eddie Brock when he is not venom you could also do the host for riot the symbiote from venom none of these have to be expected I just want “if you see them” to know how I think of the characters.GUDETAMA+BACONVersion: 3.10.0

Best marvel game! Best updates!I’ve played these games before, where it’s turned base, Your encouraged to unlock characters, but it most games like these, it doesn’t matter if you only 5 characters, as oppose to 50, it doesn’t change the game’s dynamics. This is one of the main reasons why I love this game. You get to use all of your team! In modes like”blitzs” or “alliance raids”. Which in my opinion adds a whole other dimension to the game. I love that fact that it’s not really “pay to win” you can’t “escape the grind” and the “farming” for characters. And when your farming, you don’t have to spend money or collect items to do an “auto win” for that level. That was so annoying about the other games. This just lets you “farm” and move on to alliance raids, blitz’s, or the arena. I’m also really into how some the events require specific characters from your roster. It makes farming and having a deeper roster worth it. This game is just so fun because you can attack it/play from so many different angles, and they all feed the same monster. It doesn’t matter if your just in it for the campaign’s story, or if you just want the strongest team in alliance, if your trying to get new characters on blitz, or trying to have the best alliance, this game has something for everyone. And you don’t have to pay real money to succeed. And the game isn’t so stacked against you that you have to spend real money to win or achieve anything purposeful in the game. Could of easily been a 5 star game.Due to this game always being super buggy, and since the last update that keeps me from using WiFi. I am going to have to give this (1 Star). I’ve been playing this game for almost a year. I’m almost at max level with almost the whole roster of characters unlocked. So yes I’ve enjoyed it. Can this be fun? Absolutely it can be, and super addicting too. But the devs are lazy and greedy. Also the lack of customer support is frustrating and disappointing, as they will often ignore most issues. This game will mess up any character development with serious lag issues that will cause the game to do things that you may not want to. And resources are very scarce, unless you decide to pay the overpriced pay to win offers. Even if you decide to pay for stuff. Beware as this game seems to bait you into using your resources without you wanting to. When there are sales, drop rates become nonexistent. So if you don’t mind using up all your data due to game breaking bugs that (won’t let you use WiFi) on a data hungry app. This game may be for you. If you don’t mind losing valuable resources due to buggy issues that don’t get addressed, then play, it’s a lot of fun. If you like making in app purchases that have no value. Then by all means you won’t have any issues. Until this game becomes stable, and has the game breaking bugs fixed. I will give it the 5 stars it deserves. It’s pretty good for a phone gameI don’t write many reviews but I’ve had this game for about a couple years so I thought I’d write something about it. It’s like many other role-playing strategy games where you collect character shards till you get enough to unlock a character. I like this one over all the other ones though because 1: it’s Marvel and I like Marvel stuff, and 2: Characters get extra bonuses for being on the same team as other hero’s/villains they are associated with. An example would be making a team of Avengers and them getting extra defense or buffs for being on a team with them which is a really good incentive to complete your collection of hero’s for those teams. There are definitely some teams better than others, as of right now the Infinity Watch team is overpowered but not a huge downer if you’re having fun assembling teams. On the topic of pay to win: The game can be played and you can have fun if you don’t pay money for things but you’re progress is a lot slower but you still make pretty good progress I’d say, I stopped playing the game for a half a year and I still have fun not having spent too much money (maybe 5 dollars worth). The main way to play is you spend “energy” points to play campaign missions and after you perfect a mission you get to auto play it, but there are so many other energies and multiplayer things it still keeps me busy being pretty far into the game. Before I go a tip for the game is to put a lot of effort into a Hero City group if you’re just starting to play like the Defenders, they are fairly easy to get and they last you a long time into the game and are fairly good with multiplayer stuff. It’s not 5 star because of Customer serviceDon’t get me wrong I’ve loved this game since I started playing it but with the latest update on the game about two weeks ago I lost my account and can’t get it back and my clan members told me it was a glitch in the game and I had to message customer service so I did and I began to watch my email because I entered my email for a contact back but after 4 days of nothing I decided to message them again mind you I have never had to message them before now for anything and I didn’t know they message you back right on the contact part so I had a message acknowledging that I messaged them like an automated one then I had one from a support person asking for more info to verify my i.d. Then I had a message that since I didn’t answer within like 24 hours he was closing the case and I would have to message them again to get it started back up so I messaged the info he asked for and that was a week ago and I still haven’t heard a thing from them, so I’m seriously considering just quitting this game solely on the fact that their game made me lose my account I didn’t do anything but install the update and open the app then they can’t fix their glitch so I get my account back and closing the case after not hearing from me within 24 hours is a joke and then ignoring me when I send the info I’m losing dozens of items and character shards daily that I need and have been waiting for certain evens because they won’t do their job so idk if this game is worth my time.Wadewilson1009Version: 3.4.0

Great gameIf your a marvel fan this game is a lot of fun. I’ve been playing 7 years and haven’t had really any complaints till recently. If they made a mistake in the past they always fixed it so everyone was compensated evenly and they did make a lot of mistakes since they have frequent updates. That’s also why this game is great, they is constant progress and new character releases but that’s also a catch 22 cause with soo much new content and characters only people spending money can keep up. But if you can hang in and grind it out almost everything is obtainable without spending any money. They cater to the whales of the game who spend massive amounts of money, but we wouldn’t have new characters and modes to play with if it weren’t for them. But adding in new game modes means more reasons to spend money to stay relevant and with soo many new characters being dropped there are a good 50+ characters who are now obsolete, unleashed until they do an update on them. But even with all those complaints I love the game but I’m biased I’m a marvel fan and comics in general so I love building up my teams and seeing which beloved character comes out next. Good game. Bad business modelDevelopers: Don’t listen to all these bad reviews. You made, and are maintaining a great game with a lot of potential. Most of them are complaining do to the fact that they aren’t any good at the game, because they don’t take the time to work out the math on what makes a team good. That said; they do make reasonable complaints about your strategy for paying the bills. Most of your players are marvel fans, not free to play game fans, so you can keep your player base more easily than other games like yours. Maybe, you could add a feature to allow your players to watch commercials in place of spending money for currency, equipment, and character shards. This way you can take some pressure off of your ‘direct purchase’ dependency, allowing you to give more for less, without effecting your bottom line. We (your players) are willing to make you money, and be loyal customers, but most of us do not have enough to justify spending ANY amount of money on a ftp game. Even those that do, can’t afford what o asking. It seems like a small few are paying an arm and a leg fo all of s to play. No fair. Maybe, give a monthly subscription option that gives more frugal players an appealing option. Give hem all the characters, while still forcing them to level like everyone else or something. Getting Over the TopSo my biggest complaint is the whole Magic stats in battle, my gear 12 Black Spider; 33k stronger than my opponents tier 10 at best was slower than theirs?! Makes no sense. Most team compositions make no sense. The Blitz Sim should be available at 55 at best; Due to the mass amounts of XP needed to level up. How about Finishing some of the incomplete teams. Characters with an event story should have their shards only available through events and they should do 1 event story on the 2nd week of every month. Bring back Character specific Raids. Either lower the gold and level module cost or give out more... because you are sucking the life out of your community. Alliance Donation points should allow you to upgrade war rooms and effects and even hold more members in alliance. If Iron Man is a legendary; Captain America should be. He should summon 1 missing Avenger as an Ultimate Skill and Taunt as a second Skill and Shield Throw as his other. Passively He should Inspire(Give Energy to Non-Summoned Avenger Allies every turn) and gain more block as his HP decreases. Bring more Synergies(Team Attacks) like the avengers have none. Now the good, they have dumbed down the offer spam thank god, the story is fairly original and has a lot of comedy(Scientist Supreme is Roast Master lol), constantly releasing new Characters( which is kinda a double edged sword cause older 1s get ignored like the Hand). Ever since I got this game I fell in love!My dad actually introduced me to strike force because we are both big marvel fans and once I got it I was addicted! The start can be a little slow at first but once you get to level 20 the action starts and the leveling up gets slower, right now I man currently level 67 and It’s super hard to level up, but that’s what’s fun about it! The in game purchases are SUPER pricey so I would recommend only buying them on a special occasion but I understand why they made them pricey, it’s a free game they need to earn some money some how. Another thing I love about this game is that each character is so unique, like literally every character feels like so much time was spent on them and it makes the game so much better! And the characters give you different abilities so it’s not just a different looking person with the same exact strength and powers! That was probably my favorite feature. They also update this game constantly! For example I used to hate this game mode called real time arena because I either fought people way weaker than me or way stronger, but now they fixed that so it’s WAY more evenly matched! I’ve been playing for two yearsThis game has kept me entertained for a while. They keep adding new characters and teams, they’ve been consistent with delivering new content, and they keep it interesting. I have invested a few dollars in the game just because I want to support it, and occasionally there are deals to be had with shards.. certain one-off deals, for instance, 50 shards of a decent character for $1.99. Otherwise, I’m not the type that’s going to shell out $15 at a time, or more. Throw more reasonable deals at me and I’ll spend more. Like Costco. lol. Volume. Anyhow, I like the alliance feature a lot. I’ve found a good one that expects you to keep up to a certain point but doesn’t expect it to be like a second job. We progress together and we don’t go insane in the process. There are all sorts of alliances, some have really high expectations and some don’t. Mine is somewhere in the middle. Favorite characters in the game: Minn-erva, Black Bolt, Phoenix, Ultron, Thor, Hela, Black Panther, Star Lord, Magneto, Symbiote Spider-Man, Venom, Shuri, Captain Marvel, War Machine... I love finding other combinations of characters to use that syngergize outside of their intended teams. Best mobile game everI’ve been playing this game since the beta phase. And I’m still playing it because they are always putting out new characters and events. I love building teams in raid and Blitz. There is always a top meta game/meta team but I find lots of enjoyment in using my whole roster in blitz, raid and Wars! I’m free to play and may be one of the few grateful for all the whales and other pay-to-play players. They mean I can play this game for free. Am I a few steps behind them, yes. But I’m cool with that, they spent lots of money because they can’t wait. I do all my daily achievements and play in events and know what Base point I need for good rewards in blitz so I honestly am in great shape. If you want to be free to play and are incapable of planning and doing resource management, the. This game is not for you. But most of my guild mates are F2P like me and loooove this game. The only complaint I have is the the red star promotions which seem arbitrary. I’ve seen some reviews crying a river about money, bugs, or devs not caring. Bunch of crybabies that are self-entitled. The devs are working and listening to the community, since I started they have made so many good changes. I have no issue with the money end side of things, and bugs get sorted out. Could be 5 starsFirst off, I absolutely love this game! I grew up with these heroes, and not I enjoy sharing that love with my children. The rare characters often are only available through purchase, or require an outrageous prerequisite to aquire. While I completely understand that it’s a fantastic way to make TONS of profit from fans who spend money to play (like myself), I would be much happier with the experience if the developer’s were more forgiving with the timetable for which the character events are available. Give us paying customers a chance to make it through a pay period so we can have the funds to accomplish the tasks required. Maybe give us a way to reserve promotions for a Later time, like a raincheck, otherwise it can be incredibly frustrating! I NEVER spent money on mobile games before, and now I have invested more money in this game than every other form of gaming media I own combined, and that speaks volumes for how amazing I find what they have created. Good stuff, data mining major issue recently thoThey take provides a lot of distraction substance to be for sure. Great sound effects and visuals for a limited autonomy rpg. They have really upped their game (puns he funs), and allow for more “freemium” style playing. You can progress slowly(and more surely) now compared to a year ago, without the need to pay to play. Whales are rampant at only much higher levels. Ok…have y’all read far enough now? Here’s the dig, recently they have started asking access to and “creating” quicker paths to simply logging in? Like “hey we’ll take your email log in; your biometric, and phone passcode and add it to scopely’s ‘data base’ so everything is one button press away for logging in!”….right so you’ll gain full access to my phone so I can avoid protecting myself and spending an extra 30 secs loggin into the online store? Still Amazing After All These YearsI’ve been playing this game with my Alliance every day since it launched. Today while updating I noticed a recent review calling the game a scam that requires you to spend hundreds of dollars to progress. My name in the game is Commander Flux, I lead the Infinite Avengers Alliance and I’m here to tell you this is FALSE. I can’t speak to the motives of that “review” but I can tell you this game is absolutely free to play and fair. Yes, there are in app purchases that allow you to progress faster, but these are not necessary. I’ve never spent more than $20 every few months purely for Power Cores to maximize my progress, but it has never been needed, only a luxury I indulge in to make up for my limited daily play time. You absolutely can unlock every character with time and patience. There is a difference between playing the game and competing with top tier alliances in this or any other FTP game. If you are in it for a solid Marvel RPG, then you will be just fine not buying IAPs. If you want to compete, just understand that this game has been out for over 6 years - a new player is not going to be able to match a long timer. That’s just basic logic, not a scam. The game has always used max level caps (increased over time)to keep things accessible and is frequently updated to add newer characters to lower level campaigns so everyone can enjoy the game. I would not waste the time writing this review to defend a game that wasn’t worth my or your time. I certainly wouldn’t still be playing it if I had to sink hundreds of dollars in on a regular basis, that’s insane. Again, there ARE IAPs but they ARE NOT a requisite. Just felt like a waste of time and effortI love how they continued to support and update the game but time and time again I really didn’t feel like I was getting anywhere. If you take time off you’re penalized greatly, you’ll be so far behind in the pvp aspect that it’s near impossible to catch up and once you get close you realize there’s ten characters everyone uses. Even tho the roster has increased greatly there’s still only a small amount of characters you ever see in arena because they were meant to be over powered to begin with. Now with lvl 75 rolling out they decided to throw every kind of offer to get you to start spending again, and every day I am so tempted to buy just one more deal to progress, but it’s a trap, no matter what I do I always feel left behind the top spenders, behind the top blitzers since they made a 2hr refresh that is only really usuable for people without a life. Sure I’ll get a day or two where I can sit her and farm and farm and farm or spend $60 to instantly get what takes normally a month or two, which is stupid. The deals themselves are way overpriced, appear way too often and support a pay to win environment. The worst thing they ever added was a lottery ticket called red stars where literally a brand new player can strike it big and no effort what so ever have a 100k character without any real effort into the game. While people like me, who have been here since the beginning are just hoping for one good drop on one good character that they never see, I’ve watched videos of people spending $200 on red stars to get maybe a few 5s tops. It’s such a waste of effort, time or money, if you’re f2p and grind everything it’s a huge chunk out of your life just to keep up. I can’t take a turnI’ve been playing this game for almost 2 years now. I like the fact that it has marvel characters. I like that there are team compositions. The animation and graphics are cool. You feel a sense of accomplishment when you level your characters up. They are generous with rewards and if you log in the web page you can get free daily rewards. It’s fun to grow with your alliance. Now with that being said there are some frustrating features I feel need to change. I know this is a Goccha game and they are in it to get your money so be mindful on how you spend your gold. Many times ( at least 86% of the time) I find myself in a battle and just getting attacked 10 times before I can even take a turn. And when I finally get a chance the enemy has evade(which means they automatically dodge my attack), I am stunned or ability blocked, or had sooo much bleed I die before I get a chance to use my character. Then I just get frustrated and turn the game off. There are other problems but I feel that’s the biggest issue I have. I feel it should be more turned based or evened out. If you enjoy sitting back and watching your characters you worked so hard on get attacked consistently for 10mins before you get a chance to play then this is the game for you..Azai23Version: 9.5.0

PLAY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!Now, I am a huge marvel fan. I collect marvel comics and haves watched almost every marvel movie. So this game was like a godsend to me! It is amazing in so many ways, I’ll only have enough space to name a few! First, the graphics are amazing. I can see everything from the bullets Punisher shoots to the star on Cap’s shield as clearly as if it were right in front of me! Also, the scenery is amazing. The scenery shifts from an ancient temple to Ultron’s headquarters to a street in New York City! Probably the best part: there are no adds! At all! For any reason! It’s amazing! Finally, the characters. You have a large variety of characters to chose from. The choices from Luke Cage to Iron man! Also, you can get villains to, from the juggernaut to Loki. The only thing negative I have to say about this is that they are missing some important characters like the fantastic four and she hulk. Also, sometimes it takes a while to load. Other than, those things, this game is awesome! Play it! # 1.5 years later ( more like 2). Reading through this old review, is making me think I really loved this game. But I don’t play it anymore. Sure it was fun at the beginning, but eventually the t falls into a pattern. Play a bunch of times, get beaten because the enemy is insanely more powerful then you, then finally level up enough to beat them. Then, you move your stuff. up to the next level.... and it starts all over again. I still give this game five stars, but it just got boring after a bit. Still like it. Just not as much. Great graphics but dev are greedyI have made some great friends playing this game and helping to run an alliance . The game is fun, and the character models and graphics are great. The game is definitely pay to win and the prices for these items are constantly giving the illusion of a sale. But every offer is the dev game of milk the players who pay for every penny they can. I am all for games that have items u can buy with cash, and I understand they are in the business to make money, but this kind of system ... where u constantly have to shell out money like I’m at a arcade is crazy. To offer character shards( which are used to unlock a character or lvl them up) at prices equal of AAA games like red dead , or spiderman PS4 is crazy. Plus , they have added red stars orbs, which are basically loot crates. And to me all these games with loot crates are basically child gambling /slot machines. Alas I keep playing due to the friends I have made , but after a year, I am feeling the crash. I am holding on for them, and to see what alliance wars will shake out to be. Good game, greed frustrating meHooked me early on. Enjoyed variety of things to do without overload I felt attempting to play Summoners Souls (?) and the like. Felt like this would require less time. Seems to suffer (my opinion) from the usual issues. Comparing team power suddenly becomes pointless. Your team can have a team power of 2000+ who you are fighting and yet the other team wipes the floor destroying everyone and you are lucky if you take down one of them. Plenty of defenders of this by fanboys, but if certain character abilities, rank, tier level make them much more powerful than the norm, but do not reflect well in the power level. Don’t think that’s is the way things should be personally. Fans will say, you need to play characters A, B, C and can point you to probably Wikis explaining the REAL info. I shouldn’t have to do that. Sorry, just my opinion. And where is the fun in having a huge selection of characters if the solution is just to play a certain few to excel? Balanced teams should be designed such that they have an advantage over stuff like 2 tanks and all brawlers or whatever. Anyway, going to keep playing for fun, just frustrated it gets progressively harder to progress/unlock due to design. Enjoyable but Incredibly Expensive Free DownloadFor a free download, it’s really enjoyable at first. The graphics and motion really capture the essence of the characters. You can tell the guys are real fans of the comics. For a short while it’s easy to progress through the ranks, but after a while, it takes an awfully long time to rank up or obtain new characters. That is unless you are willing to pay$$. I understand that they are in business to make money, but Holy Moly! The prices the want for these characters/orbs is unbelievable. I cannot fathom someone would be willing to pay $99 for an extra character and some XP. Sheesh, my first car only cost $200. I don’t see me spending the same amount on a Special Offer just to take a chance on getting the orbs I need to progress, that I could to buy another a game that doesn’t make me spend more money to progress through the game. So I will be patient and miss out on characters and events that they offer but are only achievable by spending an excessive amount of money. Help us understandI’ve given your game a two star rating as much fun as it is to play I’ve only been playing for about a year now I just saw that infinity watch just came out. How as a mid game player who has not one team in DD two yet going to catch up to get even close to that team I don’t understand? I do have to say that the game is very fun right now I still get to build some of my favorite characters in the Marvel universe but like everybody said there are major roadblocks with T threes and gear at level 13. So in my point of View I see the end as infinity watch there’s no way I can get to that team and I’m just gonna get farther and farther behind I just don’t understand why there is not more mechanics in the game to help out new players and game players like myself I watch a ton of videos on all the new contact from all the whales and Cracken. Star Wars Galaxy did the same thing, filling the rosters with garbage characters. Nobody wants to play agents. We want the superheros/villains. It is always a disappointment when getting limited low potential agents orb (or whatever this game is calling it). Like many free games these days, this one is hella expensive. 450 gems (or whatever this game is calling it) to secure you 5 orbs of a particular hero is terrible, when you need 50 to 100 orbs to actually unlock that character. They hate free to playSo I’m leaving this review as someone who has invested in this game for 3 years. I love the characters and graphics, story, dialogue is hilarious at time in a good way. Thats all the good I can say. This game is all about the $$$. And if you don’t have it or willing to put a fortune out for it then stay away. They recently starting releasing new characters through events but within 2 days you have to have those characters maxed out in stats to even do the event which is unobtainable without hundreds of dollars. The got rid of using in game currency and switched to a real money spent in game currency orb so no more saving those up for the store. They make you log in for 7 days straight to get certain perks which I’m ok with if it would work or not bug out. But you end up losing your streak after the 8th or 9th day. They change a couple events for the horseman characters to now it’s IMPOSSIBLE for a free to play player to achieve stars for those characters. Every new character they release they attach some event or milestone to it that requires tons of money to get the good stuff you need while free to play players get nothing. There is nothing “fair” about this game if you aren’t paying for it. The amount of teams is insane, good luck completing a team and getting them high stats before they nerf it and make a new team that’s super unobtainable to collect and raise stats for. Great game, if you’re willing to spend hundreds of dollarsThis game could be the best app game out there, it has great challenges, good graphics, there are always new events/challenges & the character list is huge. But once you play for a while it becomes very clear you can’t advance past a certain level without having to buy items. They are really sneaky with how they do it but there are many aspects that will require real money. It’s incredibly disappointing how much they try to trick you into buying stuff. The worst part is how ridiculous the prices are for the item you need, it can literally cost you hundreds just to get certain characters or to advance them past a certain point. Greedy Game DevelopersI wrote a review about this game quite a while ago. I’ve played this game for a number of years. I just uninstalled because I couldn’t take the greed anymore. The developers make it so hard to progress in the game by having everything cost a lot and hard to get. You spend a ton of coins and resources to upgrade one character (for example, 7-9 million to get a character from level 0-80). They unrolled a new type of gold orb that allows you to get at least 1 million gold but up to 100 million. That was unveiled around six months ago and I have never even won one shard of it. This is one of the greediest games I have played, and I’ve played a lot of games. But ultimately what made me uninstall today was I got tired of breaking myself to building my characters only for them to phase them out for new characters. My characters no longer stand a fighting chance anymore against the new ones as they now replace my current ones - I end up getting destroyed. I work on building the new characters they unveil, but what is the point if they are just gonna get phased out in the not too far future anyway? I’ve lost my zest for this game for a few months now, the only reason why I haven’t uninstalled it earlier was because I didn’t want to let my alliance down. Newest Update Breaks Your GameI’ve had this game for quite some time and always enjoyed it. You failed to product test the newest ISO-8 update however. After downloading the new patch, I attempted to open your app no less than five times and was met with the exact same result. Upon loading to roughly ninety percent at the start screen, the game attempts to do its typical download of updated content (something which I fail to understand why it could never be included with the downloaded update). I am unable to move around the normal menus while it is downloading and mid download it opens the completely unavoidable iso-8 tutorial which shoehorns players into that menu. After being forced to continue, the downloading of updates freezes indefinitely and then the load screen is stuck in a forever loop while trying to open the iso-8 tutorial which is literally the very content downloading. This persists assuredly indefinitely but for sure more than five to ten minutes. There are always quirks with your app and any other apps after an update and this should’ve been tested for and should be addressed. Beyond that, there are the obligatory issues that never seem to be addressed or fixed at each update. From simplistic changes such as the level cap randomly dictating that some players can not progress beyond a particular level and others can. Entirely Pay To WinYou will not compete at all, or enjoy most new content - characters or events, if you don’t pay. And I mean pay irresponsibly much. It has become quite unabashed, uncaring toward low spenders - and frequent, inexcusable spits in the face of players unwilling to spend and spend and spend. And you have to keep spending to not fall behind what’s even remotely competitive, or viable to even gain entrance to most events. The pacing is wildly difficult to keep up with, and each new release of characters/teams pretty much renders anything that has come before as useless, forcing keeping pace or falling behind - again, read that as paying big. Also, they repeatedly show they have absolutely no QA whatsoever, nor care toward quality/testing before releasing total garbage updates that constantly break game functions. “Support” is an equally laughable joke. Unless it’s about a purchase error, expect nothing but automated & pointless canned responses to any support submissions. Scopely absolutely doesn’t listen to the community, and their community liaisons are nothing but tow-the-line Scopely mouthpieces. No supportThis is a game that requires spending quite a bit of money if you want to keep up. I really enjoy this game, but their customer support is callous in their attitude as they rip you off. Their new web portal has opened up, giving you a new venue to spend money with them. They charge on their own website with this method which allows them to charge you directly without having to go through ApplePay or AndroidPay. This maximizes their profit. Their enticement to get you to spend this way is in giving you vast bonuses by using the web portal. I decided to drop $50 on this silly little free game because of the amount of extras offered when spending in this new manner. Their system glitched and told me that I needed to purchase the offer I wanted in-game. I contacted customer “support” several times to tell them that I wanted to purchase my offer vie the web portal for the extra bonuses, not in-game. They repeatedly told me I’d have to purchase it in-game first. I did, then asked if I could be compensated the extras “Web UPCs” that I was promised for dropping $50. They simply kept repeating “purchase it in-game first”. When I informed them that I had and that I just needed the extras, they promptly told me that they gave me all the advice that they were going to give me. They already told me to make the purchase in-game and we’re not prepared to address the matter any further. Greedy and incompetent devs ruin an otherwise good game and Marvel IPI don’t normally write reviews for apps, but it’s gotten to a point where this has to be communicated to any new potential players. Some of the good stuff: The gameplay is good and thought-provoking. The artwork and animations look great. It’s a pretty polished package, but you know that saying about putting lipstick on a pig? Now the bad parts: The screen time requirements for a mobile game are absurd. While this was fine during quarantine, they continue adding new modes without removing “low quality” screen time from older game nodes. As a end game player, you will need to allocate 2-4 hours DAILY, which is crazy for something people want to pick up and play when they have down time. The biggest issues are the greedy and incompetent dev team that runs the game. Every week there are bugs/issues that go unresolved, however anything benefitting the player is fixed within the hour. The amount they charge for resources are out of line with what you would expect to be reasonable. And finally, there was a recent issue where a significant portion of player base were awarded completion of a month-long event, which included rare resources and a new leveled character. Because they didn’t catch the error in a timely manner, they decided to let those players keep their rewards, without compensating the rest of the player base. This shows they have no integrity to their community and only care about how much money you spend on their game. This company does not deserve your time nor money. Great game at it’s core, absurdly greedy company running it.I’ve played MSF for just over 2 years now and I feel like the gameplay and art is fantastic, but unfortunately that is ruined by the money hungry company that believes that it should only be played by those who have an absurd amount of disposable income. In order to even barely keep pace with the constant stream of new characters, you’ll need to dig deep into your wallet, as any event Scopely releases will not be enough to unlock them as a free to play player. This would be fine if new characters weren’t essential to progression, but as the power creep is very real, you’ll find yourself falling far behind to the whales who throw thousands of dollars at this game. Whales control the game in every aspect outside of raids. Want to get character shards out of Blitz? Well, expect to get about 25-30 max, since the whales will always be in the top 10%. What to be #1 in Arena? Best be busting out that credit card! If your alliance isn’t a group of whales, don’t even think about a rating beyond the lowest levels of Platinum. The events are a joke for FTP players, and the offers are so grossly overpriced that you’d be a fool (or rich) to buy them. In the end, the game is pretty fun if you play it casually, but if you have any interest in seeing end game content, you’ll be spending a ton of money or a lot of years grinding away. Great gameBUT, there are a lot of problems. The game itself is awesome. The problems the game likes to present are not. The small amount of almost any resource in the game makes it very hard to build up more than a few characters. The bugs are constant. I don’t think this game has had a moment in the almost year I’ve been playing where it has been bug free. If you want to actually play all of the material in a reasonable amount of time. I’ve spent more on this game than I have any other game in my life. I still can’t enjoy all the content because of silly rules for raids like 100% completion before you can unlock the next Ultimus raid difficulty. This really should be a 30% but give extra rewards for 60 and 90%. A lot of alliances are more casual like mine. Make the game more player friendly. Not just for the people that are in the best alliances. Long term everyday players should be who you are catering to. We love the game, why make us question that. I left another similar game because when I started the pricing on some deals were cheap and worthwhile. Meanwhile I spend 20 dollars on the Magneto gold deal and all I can do is take my Ultron from 76 to 80 and have a little left over. That is one of the best deals they offer but the value of what I got out of roughly 3 million gold isn’t worth it. Great game, awful managementI just want to begin by saying that this game could be amazing and that I started out so hopeful it was going to be everything I ever was looking for in a Marvel game. The character design is absolutely amazing. The character kits aren’t always the way I would make them, but that’s totally to be expected; different people have different ideas and that’s okay too. But the way the treat their consumer is the worst out of any game I’ve ever played and it’s not even close (and as a gamer, I’ve played a ton of games). If you don’t shell out thousands of dollars a month they literally could not care less about your opinion. They recently had two bugs, both of which accomplished the same thing: they made a challenging piece of content, that granted daily rewards, significantly easier. For one, they said people could keep their progress and, for the other, they said they’re rolling it back (you lose your progress). The only difference? The first one required you to buy several offers for their newest character to exploit, the other one didn’t. Countless examples just like this. It is the worst relationship I’ve ever had with a developer and it’s a shame because I want to like this game so badly. If you’re thinking of playing, please, please don’t. Keeps getting worseA once great game that keeps getting worse. I have been playing over 2 years and updates just keep getting worse and it’s becoming more and more of a “pay to play” model. Great new characters but thee only real way to get them is to buy them. You can get the gear you need by playing the Dark Dimension but your characters have to have to have a certain gear level to play. The only way to get the gear is buys it or wait for it to come up in one of the many in game stores. I’ve been waiting for months to get the gear I need because I refuse to pay close to $100 to buy it. That right, $100. I currently need 150 pieces of gear to move to the next level. I can buy 50 pieces for $30 so $90 + tax to move on or I can earn it by playing the game and get maybe 5-10 pieces a week. Then there’s the latest horrible idea. The real time arena. Great idea, horrible execution. Idea is you play against other people playing the game right now to earn some of that gear you need. The problem is you’re not matched against teams that are similar in strength to you. You almost always go against someone substantially stronger than you. This unfairness is compounded by the fact the battles are not turn based like every other part of the game. Your opponent will sometimes get 5 or 6 turns before you get a chance to attack. By this time half of your team is gone. Everyone is complaining and yet the developers do nothing about it. Like others, I am ready to delete this one and find something else. Great idea, repeatedly failed execution.I love the idea of this type of turn-based, strategic game set in the Marvel universe. I love that they’re mining some more obscure characters to expand the game’s roster. But I can no longer stand the way they entice the player to pay more and more of their hard-earned money to advance farther and faster in the game, while still repeating the same mistakes over and over. Mistakes that are either intentionally deceptive and intended to earn them more money, or just flat out ignorant with regards to their impact on the playerbase. The most recent mistake is the reveal that the newer Heroes for Hire team was never intended to retain their charges indefinitely until depleted through battle. That “bug” is what made them an impenetrable wall for the last few months. At best, this is a massive screwup that will make many, many players feel bad about how they chose to spend their money on the game. The team will no longer be remotely the same level of defensively dominant in war. At worst, the company lied and let it ride while people spent money on the team, and spent money trying to unlock their upcoming hard counter in Omega Red, before finally revealing the “truth”. Either way, I cannot support the company behind this game any longer. Most people would no longer have jobs after such a sustained level of incompetence or predatory behavior, but they instead keep making more and more money. We want to love this gameI’ve been playing this game for almost a year and have have spent some money on the game, maybe $100, because I was really enjoying the game. But right now I would take back that money if I could. Right now the game is in a bad spot and the devs don’t really seem to care. There are multiple bottlenecks that stop free to play players from progressing quickly unless they spend money. For one of the game modes, blitz, new players are pitted against people that have been playing this game since it first came out and there is no way to compete. In that game new characters will come out and unless you are a top player or spend thousands of dollars to get ahead it’s almost not even worth playing. Gear and training materials are difficult to get so you hoard those materials and can’t level up your whole roster like you want to. Any time a bug comes out that benefits the player it is fixed within hours but bugs that mess up the game or hinder the player are left unchecked for multiple months or longer. There are countess other issues currently and the entire player base really wants this game to be good but the devs really need to step it up. Was a great game, now nauseatingThis game was amazingly fun and utterly addicting and enticed you to spend money on the offers, probably more than your wallet really allowed fore. But they just implemented a new patch to the gameplay where the camera zooms in on every characters movements at 3x speed. This in turn, causes the camera to jump around the screen at high speed and inducing motion sockness rather quickly, making the game nearly unplayable. This xoom to emphasize the characters abilities and attack CGI was originally only during normal speed gameplay, but now it’s on ALL speeds. Not only does it induce nausea and motion sickness, but now it’s also incredibly hard to track what’s actually happening with the progression of the battle or change to a different priority target. You can’t play at normal speed when playing Arena, Raid, or War modes because you only get 5 minutes to complete the matchup or you’ll timeout, so you’re forced to play at 3x speed, but this new system wrecked it. They took an amazing game and literally ruined it, by trying to improve something that wasn’t broken and was already performing beyond well. I spent quite a bit of money on the offers and would’ve continued, but now I can’t play or enjoy the game anymore. Way to ruin a good thing devs. At least give us the option in settings to tuen that ridiculousness off. I mean, it’d only be the sensible thing to do. Pay to playI have played since the game first came out and through multiple ownerships. This game went from a fun character builder with some exclusive characters ‘legendary’ that you built towards. And they would release new characters every couple months. Now this game releases 5 new characters every other week and there’s no events to unlock them. You can pay $50+ for each character and that doesn’t max them out that’s just an unlock. They came out with ‘epic’ characters that are completely pay to play characters. Don’t get me wrong they can be game changers but you better have the money to afford them. Cause if not it will be 6 months before FTP can get them. There most recent Christmas event has a great amount of rewards. But you need a certain currency that is only available through offers. You would have to spend $1200 to get all the rewards. I can’t stand destroying a fun marvel game. That’s just the money side. If you want customization this isn’t the game. They release a team you will need and if you don’t have it, that certain game mode is impossible to beat unless of course you pay. Which makes everyone build the same characters up to have twin accounts. I don’t know why exactly, but likely due to the variety of activities that are available. The art is good. Battles can be either fun, or enormously frustrating. Alliances can be fun if you find an active one. That’s the good. Now the bad. I’ve been playing video games since the days of the original Pong and the Atari 2600. I’ve been around a LONG time. In all that time, I’ve never encountered a game that throws up as many progress blocks as this game. It is a massive slog. I don’t mind microtransactions, particularly for free to play games...the devs need a revenue stream...that makes sense. The issue here is this game does not have microtransactions...it has MACROtransactions. I mean, they are ridiculously, COMICALLY ASTRONOMICAL. It is, without question, the most predatory in-game purchase system I’ve ever seen in my 40+ years of gaming. There is zero doubt in my mind that someone wanting to max out everything could very easily spend in the high-five-figure range (maybe six figures?) or more, and probably still wouldn’t have everything maxed. The luster is fading for me...not because the game isn’t fun, but rather the fact that the likelihood of reaching elite levels is unbelievably frustrating. This game is intended to prey on your wallet. Crashes all the timeThis is one of my favorite games. I love Marvel and I love all the stories. There’s so much to do in this game. The biggest issue is how much it crashes. It crashes all the time you can’t progress because the game crashes and then you have to restart. I was doing a raid in the game crash at the start of a battle I lose the rate energy and it looks like I never even competed in the battle. All the great individual events to unlock characters crashes the game. I’ve reached out to the company via email and the other in game support and you don’t get anywhere from them. Please don’t play this gameSince taking over, Scopely has continually shown the majority of the community that they are not important because they are not spending hundreds/thousands per month. I am a rational person and understand that games will have to implement ways to make money, that is not a problem. The problem is that if you do not spend on characters to strengthen them the catch up mechanics in this game are nearly non-existent. If an above average character is released it will be 6-12 month before ftp or light spenders can catch up with the whales. By that point at least a dozen new characters have been released and you are constantly behind the whales and will never be able to catch up. Even that is somewhat understandable if you are a narcissist but the single worst thing in this game is the 100% rng based red star system. The whales will spend and spend until they rng high red stars to propel their already significantly stronger toon to the moon whereas anyone else will be limited to whatever they get. The drop rates are atrocious to top it off. Just another game that implemented loot crates when they didn’t need to, but in this case skill at the game cannot help you as even if you are the best player at this game if you throw worse toons against better ones you will lose 99% of the time. Add in a high cost battlepass, bottlenecks on all major resources for months with no real improvement, and hours of low quality screen time and you can see why the game is in such a bad state. No player agency, absurd monetizionI have played this game on and off since launch and I’m in an endgame guild. I’m an endgame player, and over the years I have thoroughly enjoyed the game, even though I needed to take breaks every now and then for real life reasons. This game used to be a blast. Getting characters unlocked through events was a common occurrence. They also gave out free orbs and had fun events where you could work hard and earn great rewards. Now the events all have a cap as to what you can do without spending money. The rewards that are actually worth something to an endgame player are paid for and there’s no way to earn them without spending money. It used to be pay to win, which is fine in a game like this. However, now the game is more pay to play than anything else. A lot of events are locked behind characters that you can only get with money. They recently removed the ability to buy orbs for characters to unlock them through in-game currency that you earn from arena and other events. And worst of all, it just feels like a canned experience to me. You don’t have any agency as a player. If you want to be competitive or complete events as much as you can without spending, you must build up the characters that they want you to build. Maybe some people like that, but I don’t. If you want to be competitive, prepare to spend thousands!No seriously. This game is a pure cash grab. There is no balance or strategy to move up the leaderboards. Want to know the secret. Spend, spend, spend! New character coming out that will upset and replace the current meta? Better get a head start on farming that character by paying for the two $50 packs that net you a portion of the shards to unlock and a bunch of orbs with a “chance” to hit a big one and get the other half. And that’s just for 2-4 stars. You have to max them out to 7 stars because at some point, that character will be a requirement to unlock the next meta-must-have. And then you have to gear them up. But you probably don’t have the materials and/or gold to max them out. No worries, you can spend some more money to fill in the gaps. This cycle never ends. Free to play players? Sorry, you’re drop fed stuff over months to years unless you’re really lucky and manage to get some great shards from orb openings. Bottom line, you have to Pay to Win in this game. Arena (PVP) is dominated by the exact same team comps. And you probably don’t have Black Bolt, Phoenix, Mister Sinister and Ultron because that would require you to have bought into a ton of other characters that were all low drop rate events that required money to get the characters to the 7 stars needed to max out the next set of required characters to get to the ones you really wanted..MackOXVersion: 3.10.2

Good but moving downUpdate to say: Red Stars are a pretty slimy money grab. Virtually no one in the community wanted them, but FoxNext just plowed forward. It’s awful what it’s done to the game. Don’t get me wrong, I like this game. It’s quite a bit of fun and I’ve enjoyed strengthening my characters, getting to know my alliance, etc. However, I’m going to stick to a one star rating for this reason: the devs are bringing the quality down, not up. Many of us players consistently submit support tickets and get on reddit (where the devs do peek and post semi-regularly) to provide feedback. The general idea of desired improvements tends to be the same; a lot of repeated suggestions get thrown around a lot. Very good ideas, for the most part. Free advice to the devs to make their core fan base more happy. Yet, update after update....none of those suggestions are implemented. They’ll take suggested changes and twist them to further enforce needing to pay to get ahead, or ignore the suggestions entirely. Some recent moves have seemed to pretty clearly suggest they want to further separate the rich from the poor. Somewhat backwards, in my opinion. I once felt that I’d eventually spend on the game since I was enjoying it so much...but after all these things keep happening, I’ve decided to remain strictly free-to-play, knowing I’ll never be competitive with the paid players. Inconsistent, boring with a high burn out rate.I have been with this game for a couple years or so. The raids get so boring it’s hard to continue doing them. And you must or teams will boot you. If raids were instant simulation battles it would improve the game immensely. However it won’t fix this next issue that really kills it also. I find countering teams with consistency at times can begin to fail. Not with the majority of counters but enough to really ruin a game while you’re trying to help a team. It’s like you get good and all of a sudden start sucking. This is considering game updates, character stats, isos and buffers (like in wars) all taken into consideration with this assessment. For no rhyme or reason. You could counter this by constantly punching down in battles with the exception of known mega high punch up counters but somehow it leaves you feeling like an incomplete player. Plan on putting 1-2 hours a day on mostly a regular basis to be effective in this game. It’s not a game to play once in awhile. I have watched many people love this game in the beginning. Just to burn out and even voice regret for ever wasting time on it. Bizarre how a game can create such bitterness. But I assure you I am not the only one. Was great not so much anymoreAfter playing this for a very long time it’s almost become annoyingly tedious. The game used to make you want to unlock special big name characters like magneto. Now anytime they release some new barely known character they are so amped up in power that it’s lost any appeal. They are trying to force all long term players into buying crappy new characters rather than understanding why people wanted the game to begin with. The game started with fair moderation and now seems like everything has a new money aspect instead. They even handed out millions of in game currency which I thought was a nice surprise because to level up any character can bankrupt you just to find out it’s an error and they reset the game. Player unfriendly game and developer.This game had potential. The first couple months of playing are fun, and some modes like fear the darkness are unique, but the developers are so greedy that it’s not worth playing. Almost all the progression after a certain point is stuck behind a massive paywall. The mechanics and decisions made by the developers are very anti-player. This includes but is not limited to the controversial Red Star system, the absurd superior uniques for gear once you reach G12+, the abysmal gold income compared to the insane amount of gold needed to do anything, the stealth buffs to raid nodes and bosses that constantly make content you already have on farm more difficult for the same rewards, blitz...etc. Even PvP has a dysfunctional matchmaking system which punishes alliances for being active and winning. If your alliance does well you will be matched against alliances with 30% more power and 10+ levels higher with way more stark tech. They want you to spend resources and money on boosts and refreshes to be able to compete but it’s all a sham. No matter how hard you try you will get the same rewards at the end of the season based on your alliance level, not skill or strategy. The game is notoriously full of bugs and connection issues after every update. The one positive is the presentation is very appealing, but don’t be fooled. Take your money and light it on fire !!Honestly this game doesn’t even deserve 1 star. The only reason why they got 1 star is because they have the name marvel in it. Let me tell you what you’re up for. An empty wallet. Coming from an idiot that has spent over 10k on the game, I wouldn’t invest into this game at all. The catch up mechanics is horrible, there are multiple bottlenecks. At some point you won’t even be able to advance your toon and everything cost gold. Gold that you might eventually one day have enough of, but when you do, you’ll be short on training materials. Not to mention their legendary unlocks don’t make sense. It’s based off of how they can make money. If you’re farming a character from a campaign node. Their shard drops are RNG so good luck. Just pray that you get a character shard. They have a dumb system of redstars that’s completely RNG and to buy a significant pack is $50. Yes that’s $50, you’re probably better off feeding your family. Every single week there has been an error from the game that results in compensation or rewards. As fun as it sounds it’s pretty bad how this game is run. Shame On ScopelyScopely turned this game into a piece of garbage. When FoxNet owned it, yeah they encouraged spending money super hard, but at least they didn’t make it to the point where they are literally mocking you by creating events that require spending power cores (the main currency in the game) to reach milestones. And not just a few power cores. 5000 of them. A day. The cost to purchase this many? About $50. Can you earn them free? Yes. But no where near that many. I earn more than most do because I rank highly in my arena and even then i do not earn more than 300 a day. On top of this, to build your teams you need the following: ability materials for 4 abilities (up to 220 per ability for 4 different levels of abilities), training materials to rank them up levels (1-80), gold LOTS of gold - millions of gold, gear pieces composed of six gear types per character that are composed of dozens of parts of gear each for 15 different gear tiers total. BUT WAIT THERES MORE- ISO 8 (similar to gear), Red stars, and stark tech. That is 7 different elements that are each composed of layers themselves on top of collecting character shards for 7 different star ranks. Confused yet? Want to obtain all of these items FOR FREE!? Blitz constantly, complete 20 raid battles a day, 5 arena battles, dozens of campaign nodes, and real time battles, and special events. All of that would be okay if they made it attainable. Could be GreatI am so discouraged… I have played this game since day one and never missed a day. This game could be so much fun if the developers weren’t so greedy and actually cared about their player base.
