Ever since I got this game I fell in love!My dad actually introduced me to strike force because we are both big marvel fans and once I got it I was addicted! The start can be a little slow at first but once you get to level 20 the action starts and the leveling up gets slower, right now I man currently level 67 and It’s super hard to level up, but that’s what’s fun about it! The in game purchases are SUPER pricey so I would recommend only buying them on a special occasion but I understand why they made them pricey, it’s a free game they need to earn some money some how. Another thing I love about this game is that each character is so unique, like literally every character feels like so much time was spent on them and it makes the game so much better! And the characters give you different abilities so it’s not just a different looking person with the same exact strength and powers! That was probably my favorite feature. They also update this game constantly! For example I used to hate this game mode called real time arena because I either fought people way weaker than me or way stronger, but now they fixed that so it’s WAY more evenly matched! Well overall I think this game is definitely worth a try and I can almost guarantee you’ll get hooked.MasamoyVersion: 5.3.0

Scopely doesn’t care about the customerThe game is fun and well designed but was purchased by Scopely. A few weeks ago I made a purchase and the game crashed before I received my items. I contacted support immediately and told them I never received the items I purchased I heard the sound that the purchase went through my game crashed when I logged back on I didn’t have items. I contacted support immediately. They asked for a screenshot of the charge the date and time. I sent them all the information and explained again that I contacted support immediately. They responded by saying I received those items. I NEVER RECEIVED THEM. I even contacted Scopely on their website and they never even responded. There’s been a lot of players leaving because every event they run the rewards are based on rankings and some you can’t finish unless you spend money. Every event players cheat and Scopely lets them get away with it. They say it’s free to play which is a lie. There was another player that admitted to them they cheated than during alliance war the player used 2 mixed teams that weren’t as strong as 2 of the best war defense teams and the player destroyed those teams. When customer service was contacted the rep said the player that won was legit without cheating because they know how to play. When Fox owned it they cared about the customer, Scopely does not. This is the last game I will ever play that is developed by Scopely. If I could rate customer service it would be a 1..215villian610Version: 6.1.0

Could of easily been a 5 star game.Due to this game always being super buggy, and since the last update that keeps me from using WiFi. I am going to have to give this (1 Star). I’ve been playing this game for almost a year. I’m almost at max level with almost the whole roster of characters unlocked. So yes I’ve enjoyed it. Can this be fun? Absolutely it can be, and super addicting too. But the devs are lazy and greedy. Also the lack of customer support is frustrating and disappointing, as they will often ignore most issues. This game will mess up any character development with serious lag issues that will cause the game to do things that you may not want to. And resources are very scarce, unless you decide to pay the overpriced pay to win offers. Even if you decide to pay for stuff. Beware as this game seems to bait you into using your resources without you wanting to. When there are sales, drop rates become nonexistent. So if you don’t mind using up all your data due to game breaking bugs that (won’t let you use WiFi) on a data hungry app. This game may be for you. If you don’t mind losing valuable resources due to buggy issues that don’t get addressed, then play, it’s a lot of fun. If you like making in app purchases that have no value. Then by all means you won’t have any issues. Until this game becomes stable, and has the game breaking bugs fixed. I will give it the 5 stars it deserves. Game was great, is losing steamThis is likely to be one of the most fun I’ve had in a mobile game ever. However, I have been forced to start spending money due to the grind and the rapid release. The characters keep becoming more OG. And you can’t skip any because some are needed to unlock others down the road. Which leads to new toons being released in a super fast calendar and the players being very resource poor. You’re either out of gold, training mats, or catalysts. It’s the worst when you are out of catalysts for gear, because they have the worst drop rate of anything in the game, so farming them is a waste, and you need like a billion. What this game needs is inter-alliance gear donation. Each member could request a needed resource every 24 or 48 hour period. And members of the alliance could donate excess. And there would be limits, you could only ask for 5 pieces of superior, 10 advanced, catalysts would be like 20. They could do the same for training mats and gold. And when donating you could only donate up to 3 as a member or something. It wouldn’t eliminate scarcity of resources, but would reduce the headache of the grind, which is the biggest complaint players have in Star Wars Galaxy of heroes which is arguably this games biggest competition. All in all the game is amazing. But when there’s nothing to do, it makes you wanna look for other games to play instead..Jon9041Version: 5.6.1

Good game. Bad business modelDevelopers: Don’t listen to all these bad reviews. You made, and are maintaining a great game with a lot of potential. Most of them are complaining do to the fact that they aren’t any good at the game, because they don’t take the time to work out the math on what makes a team good. That said; they do make reasonable complaints about your strategy for paying the bills. Most of your players are marvel fans, not free to play game fans, so you can keep your player base more easily than other games like yours. Maybe, you could add a feature to allow your players to watch commercials in place of spending money for currency, equipment, and character shards. This way you can take some pressure off of your ‘direct purchase’ dependency, allowing you to give more for less, without effecting your bottom line. We (your players) are willing to make you money, and be loyal customers, but most of us do not have enough to justify spending ANY amount of money on a ftp game. Even those that do, can’t afford what o asking. It seems like a small few are paying an arm and a leg fo all of s to play. No fair. Maybe, give a monthly subscription option that gives more frugal players an appealing option. Give hem all the characters, while still forcing them to level like everyone else or something. Getting Over the TopSo my biggest complaint is the whole Magic stats in battle, my gear 12 Black Spider; 33k stronger than my opponents tier 10 at best was slower than theirs?! Makes no sense. Most team compositions make no sense. The Blitz Sim should be available at 55 at best; Due to the mass amounts of XP needed to level up. How about Finishing some of the incomplete teams. Characters with an event story should have their shards only available through events and they should do 1 event story on the 2nd week of every month. Bring back Character specific Raids. Either lower the gold and level module cost or give out more... because you are sucking the life out of your community. Alliance Donation points should allow you to upgrade war rooms and effects and even hold more members in alliance. If Iron Man is a legendary; Captain America should be. He should summon 1 missing Avenger as an Ultimate Skill and Taunt as a second Skill and Shield Throw as his other. Passively He should Inspire(Give Energy to Non-Summoned Avenger Allies every turn) and gain more block as his HP decreases. Bring more Synergies(Team Attacks) like the avengers have none. Now the good, they have dumbed down the offer spam thank god, the story is fairly original and has a lot of comedy(Scientist Supreme is Roast Master lol), constantly releasing new Characters( which is kinda a double edged sword cause older 1s get ignored like the Hand). I’ve been playing for two yearsThis game has kept me entertained for a while. They keep adding new characters and teams, they’ve been consistent with delivering new content, and they keep it interesting. I have invested a few dollars in the game just because I want to support it, and occasionally there are deals to be had with shards.. certain one-off deals, for instance, 50 shards of a decent character for $1.99. Otherwise, I’m not the type that’s going to shell out $15 at a time, or more. Throw more reasonable deals at me and I’ll spend more. Like Costco. lol. Volume. Anyhow, I like the alliance feature a lot. I’ve found a good one that expects you to keep up to a certain point but doesn’t expect it to be like a second job. We progress together and we don’t go insane in the process. There are all sorts of alliances, some have really high expectations and some don’t. Mine is somewhere in the middle. Favorite characters in the game: Minn-erva, Black Bolt, Phoenix, Ultron, Thor, Hela, Black Panther, Star Lord, Magneto, Symbiote Spider-Man, Venom, Shuri, Captain Marvel, War Machine... I love finding other combinations of characters to use that syngergize outside of their intended teams. Could be 5 starsFirst off, I absolutely love this game! I grew up with these heroes, and not I enjoy sharing that love with my children. The rare characters often are only available through purchase, or require an outrageous prerequisite to aquire. While I completely understand that it’s a fantastic way to make TONS of profit from fans who spend money to play (like myself), I would be much happier with the experience if the developer’s were more forgiving with the timetable for which the character events are available. Give us paying customers a chance to make it through a pay period so we can have the funds to accomplish the tasks required. Maybe give us a way to reserve promotions for a Later time, like a raincheck, otherwise it can be incredibly frustrating! I NEVER spent money on mobile games before, and now I have invested more money in this game than every other form of gaming media I own combined, and that speaks volumes for how amazing I find what they have created. That having been said, when I can’t take advantage of a promotion because of it’s short availability, I feel unappreciated as a customer. Best mobile game everI’ve been playing this game since the beta phase. And I’m still playing it because they are always putting out new characters and events. I love building teams in raid and Blitz. There is always a top meta game/meta team but I find lots of enjoyment in using my whole roster in blitz, raid and Wars! I’m free to play and may be one of the few grateful for all the whales and other pay-to-play players. They mean I can play this game for free. Am I a few steps behind them, yes. But I’m cool with that, they spent lots of money because they can’t wait. I do all my daily achievements and play in events and know what Base point I need for good rewards in blitz so I honestly am in great shape. If you want to be free to play and are incapable of planning and doing resource management, the. This game is not for you. But most of my guild mates are F2P like me and loooove this game. The only complaint I have is the the red star promotions which seem arbitrary. I’ve seen some reviews crying a river about money, bugs, or devs not caring. Bunch of crybabies that are self-entitled. The devs are working and listening to the community, since I started they have made so many good changes. I have no issue with the money end side of things, and bugs get sorted out. Enjoyable but Incredibly Expensive Free DownloadFor a free download, it’s really enjoyable at first. The graphics and motion really capture the essence of the characters. You can tell the guys are real fans of the comics. For a short while it’s easy to progress through the ranks, but after a while, it takes an awfully long time to rank up or obtain new characters. That is unless you are willing to pay$$. I understand that they are in business to make money, but Holy Moly! The prices the want for these characters/orbs is unbelievable. I cannot fathom someone would be willing to pay $99 for an extra character and some XP. Sheesh, my first car only cost $200. I don’t see me spending the same amount on a Special Offer just to take a chance on getting the orbs I need to progress, that I could to buy another a game that doesn’t make me spend more money to progress through the game. So I will be patient and miss out on characters and events that they offer but are only achievable by spending an excessive amount of money. Good game, greed frustrating meHooked me early on. Enjoyed variety of things to do without overload I felt attempting to play Summoners Souls (?) and the like. Felt like this would require less time. Seems to suffer (my opinion) from the usual issues. Comparing team power suddenly becomes pointless. Your team can have a team power of 2000+ who you are fighting and yet the other team wipes the floor destroying everyone and you are lucky if you take down one of them. Plenty of defenders of this by fanboys, but if certain character abilities, rank, tier level make them much more powerful than the norm, but do not reflect well in the power level. Don’t think that’s is the way things should be personally. Fans will say, you need to play characters A, B, C and can point you to probably Wikis explaining the REAL info. I shouldn’t have to do that. Sorry, just my opinion. And where is the fun in having a huge selection of characters if the solution is just to play a certain few to excel? Balanced teams should be designed such that they have an advantage over stuff like 2 tanks and all brawlers or whatever. Help us understandI’ve given your game a two star rating as much fun as it is to play I’ve only been playing for about a year now I just saw that infinity watch just came out. How as a mid game player who has not one team in DD two yet going to catch up to get even close to that team I don’t understand? I do have to say that the game is very fun right now I still get to build some of my favorite characters in the Marvel universe but like everybody said there are major roadblocks with T threes and gear at level 13. So in my point of View I see the end as infinity watch there’s no way I can get to that team and I’m just gonna get farther and farther behind I just don’t understand why there is not more mechanics in the game to help out new players and game players like myself I watch a ton of videos on all the new contact from all the whales and Cracken. Best game I think I’ve ever playedI have to say that this may be the best game I’ve ever played on a smart phone. I have never consistently and for this long logged into another game to play something so phenomenal. While there are options to purchase different character shards, orbs, and other fun things, I’ve never felt pressured to do this. And I think it’s a good trade off considering that I’ve never seen an ad displayed on this game. The artwork is awe-inspiring and the sound effects are on point. 👌🏻 There is a brilliant team of talented people who work on this game to bring new events and creative game play that feels very cinematic. I only have one complaint and that is that over the last two days when the game is loading it gets stuck at 42%. I have to restart several times to get in. I have confidence that this will hopefully be worked out, but I have to admit that I’m rather sad. I’ve made this game part of my daily routine especially since COVID-19 has put everything else on hold. Overall, brilliant game and I would happily recommend it to anyone else (and have) to make room for on their phone. Scopely inspired spiralThis game is like most phone apps. You can choose FTP, spend a little or spend a lot. Heavy dose of frustration mechanics with the fix often being sold as slot machine “surprise mechanic” offers. This is a Marvel game with no Marvel story. Unrelated characters are required to unlock top characters with the nonsensical “stories” written to fit whatever they are trying to sell at that particular moment. Bottlenecks on top of bottlenecks with increased speed of character releases making the logjam for gear and gold increasingly worse. Then there is the red star system...worst game mechanic I’ve ever seen. Whether you grind out or buy a character, the character’s viability is completely dependent on a random red star mechanic. You spend $100, I spend $100 we both unlock Character X. You get 5 red stars, I get 2. You can use your character is almost any game mode. Mine is stuck on the bench due to RNG despite having spent the same amount of time or money. Love the game. Love marvel (the Marvel relationship seems to be nothing more than character skins) but it’s starting to feel more and more like an abusive relationship. Stay away. It’s corporate greed, the game.Seriously. You take an awesome game and concept and monetize it to the point of unethical exploitation of those with gambling addictions and ignorant youth. At every turn are various loot boxes. There are dozens if not hundreds of loot boxes. The pinnacle of gameplay, raids, drop currency to, you guessed it, open more loot boxes. But of course, you have to spend premium currency to even get that far. Let’s take the latest raid, Thanos. Timely because of the movie. Tier 1 is level 25. Now you’d think that level 40+ characters would tread through the content. They do everywhere else. But no, even though the power level, which is a combination of hero level, gear, and ability level, is thousands of points higher, you’ll wipe. And it’s not even close. The numbers mean nothing. Why? Because to continue in with the raid, FoxNet wants you to use premium currency to heal. You were threading a line before in most of the game, now you are blatant in the cash grab. And that’s what it’s all about. It’s a game about money for investors. Not the customers. I have no problems purchasing a game or generally finding a fun game. A thought out well marvel gemI personally don’t play much mobile outside of pinball and hearthstone but I’ve always been a huge marvel fan as a whole. I have tried some of the marvel games out there, over all, there was way to much to manage with some bugs or some lack luster of the execution. But I must say that this is a well thought out and polished game with crisp visuals and a decent size campaign with extras on the side. It doesn’t feel over baring like I must do a million things everyday to get the full rewards and the auto wins help for getting materials or if you don’t have enough time. They have a nice of an ever-growing base of characters, a mix of iconic and non-iconic. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a fourth skill that is manually usable during battles. Over all, I have really enjoyed this game and will continue to do so. P.s. and I’m sure you guys get request for “ this and that” character. My only one character I’d love to see is gambit. He’s always been a bit of an over looked character cuz the “unspoken” face of x-men is more of wolverine, Jean grey and a couple of others. Great gameI started this game with pretty high expectations, and it definitely met them for the first couple days. The graphics and mechanics are fun, and the community is relatively friendly. With an abundance of materials, it felt good to speed through the first 20 or so levels, and it felt like the game would continue to give me what I needed to train and gear up my characters. I spent my over 500k amounts of gold and my training materials relatively carelessly, until I hit level 30ish. I ran out of gold and training materials, and in order to equip one piece gear to my same few characters that I started out with, I had to spend all my campaign energy. I found myself frustrated at the game, thinking it was another play to win. But once I got past the roadblock of level 30-38 or so, the game started picking up again, and I was enjoying it more than ever, once I started picking up other characters (there’s no need to pay in this game, I did not, the deals are definitely not worth your money). Like a lot of the other reviews say, this is not your typical pay to win marvel game. Awesome game slow grindI’ve been playing this game for about 3 months now and let me tell u if u don’t grind every day you’d definitely fall behind. I don’t mind it since it doesn’t take that long to do the dailies and such. U do have to join an alliance if u want awesome rewards that help out a lot to level up ur heroes. The new war system is pretty cool as well but ur alliance has to coordinate a bit more than in the raids to win cuz trust me u wanna win haha war rewards are were it’s at. The pay out is a bit better than raids. Anyway what I like the most is that it isn’t pay to win. I mean if u wanna spend hundred of dollars just to avoid the grind then go ahead cuz the offers they put up are always to reach a certain team power faster or get a character powered up faster but in the end u can just grind it out and it’ll be the same. I like this game and I gave it 4 stars just cuz it’s a bit slow in terms of leveling up/powering up. I’d recommend it tho if u don’t mind the slow grind. Fun game, but...Really enjoy the characters and abilities, but this is one of the greediest, least F2P friendly games I’ve ever played. The game literally throws 2-4 deals at you per play session you have to manually close. Many of the Legendary Events require characters that there is no way to farm, you essentially have to buy them. And the prices? Maxing stars on a character takes like 800 pieces, and the game seems to value pieces at like $1 for 5 pieces. So you want to get one rare, high-tier character that can’t be farmed to 7 stars? Plan on spending a couple hundred dollars per. And there are tons of them. Even then, gold, gear and leveling mats are quite slow to farm, making even one character viable for later stages and events (that you need to farm for pieces and materials) could literally take years. Please do more to diminish the grind, try selling more cosmetics instead of progress and making challenged/nodes more rewarding. Great gameI’ve been playing this game pretty much since launch. It’s great. I’m a free to play guy and I’ve probably spent about $5 since launch. It’s honestly pretty fair in the way they operate. Yeah the whales get a lot of perks and characters faster but I’ve got almost every character and I’m pretty stacked now. If you play smart and keep upgrading to good alliances you will rank up at a good rate. Of course there some frustration when you don’t get the orbs you want etc but that’s the case with all these types of games. It’s also a little weird to see Nick Fury and a team of Shield agents demolish everyone else in the Marvel universe but that’s part of the charm. Also when a team you’ve been trying to get comes together it’s a great feeling. I remember how great it was when I got Magneto and the brotherhood of mutants and they were a great synergistic team. I don’t normally write reviews but after having played this game for so long and still enjoying it I thought I should. If you love Marvel it’s a fun game with a lot of strategy. Major matchmaking issuesHow is it universally possible that I have a team power of 62,000 and then I go up against a team who’s power is 39,000 sounds like it should’ve been an easy win right? Not in this game, I can somehow have almost 30,000 more power than an entire team and still lose while only being able to take out one of the enemies, now keep in mind that only one enemy was 10,000 power, the rest were under 7,000 and yet somehow my 12,000 power characters can’t completely ruin them like they would in any other game, this games been out for years and just like future fight it has a major issue when it comes to the matchmaking, you could have the better characters and better power and somehow get completely bodied, and I know it’s all just a tactic to get you to spend money to get character pieces and upgrades faster which I’ll admit I spent a couple bucks to get one of my favorite marvel characters and he’s my strongest guy but gets taken out by someone with a 6,000 power level, that needs to be fixed because it’s really stupid, they probably never will because scopely is a money hungry scudfest of game devs who don’t want you to succeed in their game but maybe someday.Anonymous BingusVersion: 6.4.1

Great PotentialPros: It’s pretty much Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes which I enjoyed for a time. But of course, with Marvel characters, which is awesome. Galaxy of Heroes didn’t have a storyline and you’ve got one here, which I for one appreciate. Love the graphics. Love the animations of the characters. Cons: So far, the game crashes on Mission 3-2 every single time. Black Widow is able to get 2/4 cores when the game crashes. As such, I cannot proceed further into the campaign. This is the primary reason for my low review. The game is filled with Shield agents (good guys) and Hand/Hydra/Kree agents (bad guys). Star Wars Galaxy did the same thing, filling the rosters with garbage characters. Nobody wants to play agents. We want the superheros/villains. It is always a disappointment when getting limited low potential agents orb (or whatever this game is calling it). Like many free games these days, this one is hella expensive. 450 gems (or whatever this game is calling it) to secure you 5 orbs of a particular hero is terrible, when you need 50 to 100 orbs to actually unlock that character. That’s like $10 to get part of a character. Of course, instead you can rely on random draws for your $10 instead and probably get an agent. Newest Update Breaks Your GameI’ve had this game for quite some time and always enjoyed it. You failed to product test the newest ISO-8 update however. After downloading the new patch, I attempted to open your app no less than five times and was met with the exact same result. Upon loading to roughly ninety percent at the start screen, the game attempts to do its typical download of updated content (something which I fail to understand why it could never be included with the downloaded update). I am unable to move around the normal menus while it is downloading and mid download it opens the completely unavoidable iso-8 tutorial which shoehorns players into that menu. After being forced to continue, the downloading of updates freezes indefinitely and then the load screen is stuck in a forever loop while trying to open the iso-8 tutorial which is literally the very content downloading. This persists assuredly indefinitely but for sure more than five to ten minutes. There are always quirks with your app and any other apps after an update and this should’ve been tested for and should be addressed. Beyond that, there are the obligatory issues that never seem to be addressed or fixed at each update. From simplistic changes such as the level cap randomly dictating that some players can not progress beyond a particular level and others can. The level max is pointless if I can’t even reach it because I’ve maxed out at a point that is obviously not the true max level..WrekeetsVersion: 4.4.0

At this point in this games tenure while money offers have always been a thing, the rate at which they bring out more and more macro transactions is scummy and out right a slap in the face to this entire community whilst making events for new characters incredibly hard to a certain extent for players to obtain without spending some kind of money. While this community can be very whiney at times sometimes about the dumbest stuff, when certain problems arise that actually do matter, scopley just doesnt really care and continues to put out trash offers and events thats puts a tremendous strain on how players need to go about playing this game if they even want the slightest chance of staying relevant. Playing this game with all its characters, game modes, different events, joining alliances and making connections and friends is great but if youre a new player trying to decide whether or not to pick this up at the time of me writing this review, id skip out for a couple months and maybe come back when the game isnt basically trying to shove $100 offers down your throat to get good and fun characters. No supportThis is a game that requires spending quite a bit of money if you want to keep up. I really enjoy this game, but their customer support is callous in their attitude as they rip you off. Their new web portal has opened up, giving you a new venue to spend money with them. They charge on their own website with this method which allows them to charge you directly without having to go through ApplePay or AndroidPay. This maximizes their profit. Their enticement to get you to spend this way is in giving you vast bonuses by using the web portal. I decided to drop $50 on this silly little free game because of the amount of extras offered when spending in this new manner. Their system glitched and told me that I needed to purchase the offer I wanted in-game. I contacted customer “support” several times to tell them that I wanted to purchase my offer vie the web portal for the extra bonuses, not in-game. They repeatedly told me I’d have to purchase it in-game first. I did, then asked if I could be compensated the extras “Web UPCs” that I was promised for dropping $50. They simply kept repeating “purchase it in-game first”. When I informed them that I had and that I just needed the extras, they promptly told me that they gave me all the advice that they were going to give me. They already told me to make the purchase in-game and we’re not prepared to address the matter any further. Great game at it’s core, absurdly greedy company running it.I’ve played MSF for just over 2 years now and I feel like the gameplay and art is fantastic, but unfortunately that is ruined by the money hungry company that believes that it should only be played by those who have an absurd amount of disposable income. In order to even barely keep pace with the constant stream of new characters, you’ll need to dig deep into your wallet, as any event Scopely releases will not be enough to unlock them as a free to play player. This would be fine if new characters weren’t essential to progression, but as the power creep is very real, you’ll find yourself falling far behind to the whales who throw thousands of dollars at this game. Whales control the game in every aspect outside of raids. Want to get character shards out of Blitz? Well, expect to get about 25-30 max, since the whales will always be in the top 10%. What to be #1 in Arena? Best be busting out that credit card! If your alliance isn’t a group of whales, don’t even think about a rating beyond the lowest levels of Platinum. The events are a joke for FTP players, and the offers are so grossly overpriced that you’d be a fool (or rich) to buy them. In the end, the game is pretty fun if you play it casually, but if you have any interest in seeing end game content, you’ll be spending a ton of money or a lot of years grinding away. Great game, awful managementI just want to begin by saying that this game could be amazing and that I started out so hopeful it was going to be everything I ever was looking for in a Marvel game. The character design is absolutely amazing. The character kits aren’t always the way I would make them, but that’s totally to be expected; different people have different ideas and that’s okay too. But the way the treat their consumer is the worst out of any game I’ve ever played and it’s not even close (and as a gamer, I’ve played a ton of games). If you don’t shell out thousands of dollars a month they literally could not care less about your opinion. They recently had two bugs, both of which accomplished the same thing: they made a challenging piece of content, that granted daily rewards, significantly easier. For one, they said people could keep their progress and, for the other, they said they’re rolling it back (you lose your progress). The only difference? The first one required you to buy several offers for their newest character to exploit, the other one didn’t. Countless examples just like this. It is the worst relationship I’ve ever had with a developer and it’s a shame because I want to like this game so badly. If you’re thinking of playing, please, please don’t. We want to love this gameI’ve been playing this game for almost a year and have have spent some money on the game, maybe $100, because I was really enjoying the game. But right now I would take back that money if I could. Right now the game is in a bad spot and the devs don’t really seem to care. There are multiple bottlenecks that stop free to play players from progressing quickly unless they spend money. For one of the game modes, blitz, new players are pitted against people that have been playing this game since it first came out and there is no way to compete. In that game new characters will come out and unless you are a top player or spend thousands of dollars to get ahead it’s almost not even worth playing. Gear and training materials are difficult to get so you hoard those materials and can’t level up your whole roster like you want to. Any time a bug comes out that benefits the player it is fixed within hours but bugs that mess up the game or hinder the player are left unchecked for multiple months or longer. There are countess other issues currently and the entire player base really wants this game to be good but the devs really need to step it up. Was a great game, now nauseatingThis game was amazingly fun and utterly addicting and enticed you to spend money on the offers, probably more than your wallet really allowed fore. But they just implemented a new patch to the gameplay where the camera zooms in on every characters movements at 3x speed. This in turn, causes the camera to jump around the screen at high speed and inducing motion sockness rather quickly, making the game nearly unplayable. This xoom to emphasize the characters abilities and attack CGI was originally only during normal speed gameplay, but now it’s on ALL speeds. Not only does it induce nausea and motion sickness, but now it’s also incredibly hard to track what’s actually happening with the progression of the battle or change to a different priority target. You can’t play at normal speed when playing Arena, Raid, or War modes because you only get 5 minutes to complete the matchup or you’ll timeout, so you’re forced to play at 3x speed, but this new system wrecked it. They took an amazing game and literally ruined it, by trying to improve something that wasn’t broken and was already performing beyond well. I spent quite a bit of money on the offers and would’ve continued, but now I can’t play or enjoy the game anymore. Way to ruin a good thing devs. At least give us the option in settings to tuen that ridiculousness off. I mean, it’d only be the sensible thing to do. Whales will love thisBeing a continuous player of this game for almost 1,000 days now, I found myself grinding for long parts of the day to collect materials and gold to rank up previously released characters. My roster has built to where I only need one character (doom) that is acquired through a game mode called “dark dimension 4”. I have spent copious amounts of dollars trying to keep up with the newest characters, which is my fault for supporting a game that is “free to play”, but somehow turned into “pay to win”. If you are looking for a game that is highly competitive and fun, this is it. But player beware, this game turns into a pay to win for you at a particular part in the game. Scopley’s prices are so outrageous, and their ways of earning the top tier rewards forces you to spend large amounts of money to get close to top tier rewards. They also tend to release at least 4 new characters almost every month that not only cost about $25 at the least, it also drains all your materials and gold to rank them up. That’s where they throw offers at you to buy and restock. Or you could just grind for another month to gain a fraction back. Was great not so much anymoreAfter playing this for a very long time it’s almost become annoyingly tedious. The game used to make you want to unlock special big name characters like magneto. Now anytime they release some new barely known character they are so amped up in power that it’s lost any appeal. They are trying to force all long term players into buying crappy new characters rather than understanding why people wanted the game to begin with. The game started with fair moderation and now seems like everything has a new money aspect instead. If you want to be competitive, prepare to spend thousands!No seriously. This game is a pure cash grab. There is no balance or strategy to move up the leaderboards. Want to know the secret. Spend, spend, spend! New character coming out that will upset and replace the current meta? Better get a head start on farming that character by paying for the two $50 packs that net you a portion of the shards to unlock and a bunch of orbs with a “chance” to hit a big one and get the other half. And that’s just for 2-4 stars. You have to max them out to 7 stars because at some point, that character will be a requirement to unlock the next meta-must-have. And then you have to gear them up. But you probably don’t have the materials and/or gold to max them out. No worries, you can spend some more money to fill in the gaps. This cycle never ends. Free to play players? Sorry, you’re drop fed stuff over months to years unless you’re really lucky and manage to get some great shards from orb openings. Bottom line, you have to Pay to Win in this game. Great gameBUT, there are a lot of problems. The game itself is awesome. The problems the game likes to present are not. The small amount of almost any resource in the game makes it very hard to build up more than a few characters. The bugs are constant. I don’t think this game has had a moment in the almost year I’ve been playing where it has been bug free. If you want to actually play all of the material in a reasonable amount of time. I’ve spent more on this game than I have any other game in my life. I still can’t enjoy all the content because of silly rules for raids like 100% completion before you can unlock the next Ultimus raid difficulty. This really should be a 30% but give extra rewards for 60 and 90%. A lot of alliances are more casual like mine. Make the game more player friendly. Not just for the people that are in the best alliances. Long term everyday players should be who you are catering to. We love the game, why make us question that. I left another similar game because when I started the pricing on some deals were cheap and worthwhile. Meanwhile I spend 20 dollars on the Magneto gold deal and all I can do is take my Ultron from 76 to 80 and have a little left over. That is one of the best deals they offer but the value of what I got out of roughly 3 million gold isn’t worth it. Player unfriendly game and developer.This game had potential. The first couple months of playing are fun, and some modes like fear the darkness are unique, but the developers are so greedy that it’s not worth playing. Almost all the progression after a certain point is stuck behind a massive paywall. The mechanics and decisions made by the developers are very anti-player. This includes but is not limited to the controversial Red Star system, the absurd superior uniques for gear once you reach G12+, the abysmal gold income compared to the insane amount of gold needed to do anything, the stealth buffs to raid nodes and bosses that constantly make content you already have on farm more difficult for the same rewards, blitz...etc. Even PvP has a dysfunctional matchmaking system which punishes alliances for being active and winning. If your alliance does well you will be matched against alliances with 30% more power and 10+ levels higher with way more stark tech. They want you to spend resources and money on boosts and refreshes to be able to compete but it’s all a sham. No matter how hard you try you will get the same rewards at the end of the season based on your alliance level, not skill or strategy. The game is notoriously full of bugs and connection issues after every update. The one positive is the presentation is very appealing, but don’t be fooled. Could be GreatI am so discouraged… I have played this game since day one and never missed a day. This game could be so much fun if the developers weren’t so greedy and actually cared about their player base. The only way to succeed in this game is if you pay, well guess what I am done paying for anything in MSF. The biggest problem with this game (other than the insane prices) is the fact that they keep making outrageous decisions. StruggleIt is quite a struggle to be playing this game. The main thing they have going for them is the Marvel IP. The animations and art are beautiful to see and gameplay seems like it calls for clever thinking and strategizing. However is all this worth still playing a game that has become such a tough pill to swallow? They have gotten more and more restrictive. The tactical gameplay has given way to “cookie-cutter” teams that don’t function properly unless you have invested all in into all five characters - no substitutions allowed! There is a constant time sink that is not fun, but feels like a chore - I mean I like games, I don’t mind grinding for hours if it is enjoyable, I’ve done that before on other games, just not this one. The game also is riddled with bugs, issues, mistakes. They will address these in a split second if it benefits the players, but if it hurts us, it clearly isn’t a priority. How can this game be a 4.6 overall on the store with the recent issues?I am a long time player of this game and can’t believe what I am seeing. There is a huge push in the community to give appropriate reviews for how bad the lack of attention to detail has gotten and yesterday was the last straw. To have to take the game down for 6 hours because you were giving players out hundreds of millions in gold to their accounts makes no sense. I have played other hero collector games and have never seen anything close to the incompetence shown yesterday. Must spend moneyI have been playing this game for years. I am the leader of a group. But it is painful obviously that you cannot do well without spending money. And they just keep changing the game. The only way to judge a team is by their power level which is garbage, I routinely get beaten by groups with 100k less power than me. And if they have Ultron or Phoenix you might as well quit the fight as they are so over powered it doesn’t matter who you bring. But let me give you an example I have an Iron fist that I have been looking for 1 part to raise their tier for over a year. It doesn’t come in drops, can’t get it from orbs, and I found 1 of the multiple I need. But I can buy the exact amount I need for $29 in one of their packages. Without that part my team isn’t strong enough to finish further missions that I need to beat to get more parts so I can do other missions. So bottom line, you will not beat this game or even be in the contention for it unless you are willing to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on upgrades. One of my players even did a test using their red star generator to see how much it would cost to buy 1 team up to all maxed red stars. It would have been over a million dollars. A good game at first.I’ve been playing this game since it’s release. It’s actually great with its tactics structure and the little bits of story and character interaction. Over time, they bombard you more and more with micro transaction offers that don’t really pay off well. Also they favor those who spend money but only to a point. The drop rates for things like character shards or important upgrade components are terrible. You could spend a week’s worth of energy and spend the in game currency and get nothing far more often than maybe one or two things. This makes it so investing in a character you like takes many months without spending money. Though the tactics are good the roster is heavily imbalanced. The effective characters are hidden behind immense paywalls or several character prerequisites. With how difficult it is to acquire a character needed to get someone you actually like or someone who is useful, it could take potentially years. And this game is only 3 years old. The members of the top rated team recently all quit because Scopley failed to recognize and address the issues. I used to play this everyday being a big marvel fan. DisappointedI’ve played this game since the first day it came out. It started out as any other game would. Fun at first, grinding to max out the characters you like, etc. Of course they introduced legendary characters which were fun to pursue. Then they introduced legendary characters that needed other legendary characters to unlock. This made it very tough for people to unlock these characters. Next they started introducing people at such a fast rate that you couldn’t upgrade one team before another came out and another legendary for that team in a limited event but you had to have the previous legendary to unlock the new one and you can’t farm that previous legendary so you get stuck while the game keeps moving forward slamming new characters at you while you’re 3 teams behind just trying to keep up. The newest antic of theirs is the money grab. They had the audacity to introduce an event that cost 5000 power cores daily to get the max rewards. Power cores are very hard to come by, but of course, you can buy them with real money. To put into perspective, this would cost about $65 DAILY to get rewards from this event. This is a clear slap in the face for all the players of this game. It used to be fun but not anymore. It feels like a chore playing this game now. From a great game to a classic money grabberThe game started out great where FTP players can actually progress and keep up, even rise to the top. However with changing metas and new characters coming out often it’s now the opposite. The events are nearly impossible to find enough success to unlock the characters. For example, the Nick Fury event. You have to farm minions, strictly minions, that are trash and spend crazy amounts of time and resources just to prepare for the event. And what’s worse is that Foxnet gives you a chance to buy orbs which will help you rank up the required minions and don’t even guarantee that they will drop. Maybe .01% of the players can unlock him, even less. And Nick Fury will be a meta changing character which those who have him will be on top at every part of the game. It’s quite sad seeing a good game with huge potential end up being no different from any other greedy company, even worse. I was a dedicated player who logged in more than 6 times a day just to complete the daily missions/cooldowns, one of the top in my arena ranking, always one of the top damage dealers in raids in a top 100 alliance, and even achieved top 500 many times for the blitz events, but I couldn’t take it anymore as I saw myself fall behind with each passing day just because I wasn’t willing to give Foxnet undeserved money just to keep up. Potential only goes so farThis game was great for a long time but is now being dragged down by persistent issues. I give some credit that devs do respond to some community concerns but only after repeated screaming about issues. Every release is plagued with some kind of bug as if the designers aren’t actually testing what they release. It’s maddening to see nearly every new character or event release have some kind of problem on the back end or characters not work as advertised in the beginning because of bugs. There are some core elements of the game, like the red star progression system, that the vast majority of the player base has expressed a need to change but over a year later still goes unaddressed or talked about. The last two years have seen the developers make changes only after massive organized outcries from the player base and content creators. I have played this far longer than any other mobile game that I have tried but too many bugs, a lack of verifiable attention to QA, too many unnecessary resource clogs and forced low quality screen time has severely diminished my enjoyment of this game. Developing issues remain unaddressedHave been playing the game for little over 2 years. In past several months the developers seem to be missing the mark on several key issues and also not addressing issues voiced by the community. Newer and mid-game players are basically screwed and cannot in current form recommend for anyone new to start the game. Catch up mechanics are needed and access to ways of building up characters are much needed(gear, gold, etc). I am unable to build up any of the newer characters to decent enough levels to be playable and they remain on the shelf with no reason to spend money on these characters as would still not be useable. The red star system needs an SOS. Understand the initial idea, though with newer game modes requiring red stars even to enter then there has to be some way of getting them...which is currently basically a lottery system. So if you are lucky, then you may enter, if not, then tough luck and hope you get lucky next time commander. Overall disappointed in developers inability to have a proper growth model for the game and current developer perspective seems quite short-sited. Replacing my review daily until it staysApparently my old review wasn’t up to $copely’s standards so I’ll try this again. I have been playing this game for 3+ years (since it initially launched) and the state of the game currently is chaos. They are selling fragments to an orb that costs 5x what it should cost for an orb with multiple items listed without a drop rate showing. This is completely against the TOS set forth by Apple, all sold loot boxes must show the drop rate of each item contained. They list multiple amazing rewards but show them all listed at 0%. They then claim it’s a limitation that they cannot show the actual number because it’s between 1% and 0% (keep in mind there are other items listed in this same orb that have a drop rate of 0.001% which completely disproves what customer support is saying). Reddit is current on fire because of this awful event that is only designed to drain your wallet. If you’re deciding wether or not this is the game for you to start playing, I STRONGLY advise you find something else to fill your time with. Customer support doesn’t care what your problem is even if you happen to spend $1000+ a month on their offers. Something needs to changeI have played this game for over 1000 days. There was a release recently that there was a purchasing exploit and people were able to bypass everyone in the game and get one of the strongest characters in the game. The exploit not only works for this character but it is apparently an issue that had been known so people have been able to severely “hack” the game, yes they use their wallet but the exploit bypassed the limits the developers put on offers. There were several other release issues and several attempts to correct this mess of a release and I personally did not know of the original issue and that I paid more for the character because I did not buy the character as soon as it was released and they increased the price and added something not worth the value to try and “correct” the issue. Had I known I would NOT have bought the two offers... if it sounds confusing and hard to follow that sums up the issues that this game has. I love marvel but until this and other severe issues get fixed I can only say buyer beware if you plan on spending on a collectors game such as this which is a shame because the artists and overall game designers do a wonderful job. I’ve played the game for 1,000 plus days and sure every game goes thru it’s stages of ups and downs but this is kind of silly at this point. On the surface, this game seems fun and you can see the potential however the current bugs and constant bottlenecks make the game unplayable and moreso unenjoyable. You may read other reviews and may want to give it a go but trust me, you will never catch up unless you pour thousands and thousands of dollars into the game. Sure, you can play as some of your favorite heros and villains but if you are competitive, this game is not for you in its current state. A question to the reader of this review...what is the point of coming out with new characters if you cannot farm them for months/years after their initial release? Even if you unlock a new character, they will be irrelevant with their power level to make any difference. More food for thought for the reader of this, there have been meta characters released during my time playing this game that you (the new player) will not be able to unlock/counter. Going DownhillAs of today, I’ve been playing this game for 788 days and I can say this game has been slowly turning into a game not engineered for your “enjoyment” but to make money for Scopely. It seems since Scopely purchased this game, the player base who loves this game and is inspired to help the developers perfect this game, has been increasingly shut out by not taking our recommendations and not listening to us. I’d say this game is still fun from the amount of characters available to the graphics and character design. The game modes are more of a mixed bag. RTA is trash because you literally just auto-play without even paying attention. This is a simple fix by just making it a competitive win based mode. War is very fun but definitely needs an update. Arena is awful because there are shotgun glitches that mess up your rank and it’s not that “fun”. Blitz is now auto which is easier than before. Raids are kind of fun but a grind. Overall, I personally wouldn’t recommend new players getting into the game because it’s definitely a money grab and I think Scopely is running the game into the ground. Such a greedy companyIt’s ok to charge for things, that’s capitalism. But seriously, even people who spends a hundred thousand (yes there are those!) are still limited in what they can do. That sounds fine on paper right? Rich people spending their way to higher levels, but now compare that with a young kid who just wants to play their favorite hero. No chance. The game is designed to force a specific progression pattern over the long term. There are at least 20 different systems to keep track of, each impacting the other in a mind boggling way. I enjoy some of the strategy, but there is nothing a person can do to “get better” at the game other than spend money or grind. There’s no creativity, you can’t just pick heroes or villains to build your ideal team that you’ve always dreamed of because they won’t work well together, that’s by design. If it’s not the marketed version of MSF designed teams, which require a longggg amount of play time or a lot of money to obtain, then their synergies and complementary actions don’t work together. If you want to play, just make a promise to yourself not to buy “just this once”.... you won’t stop, and that’s how it’s designed. Be strong, play for a bit each day, don’t obsess. Over 6 months intense playingHi this is a real review from my honest side i dont do review most of the time so here you have it I've been playing for over 6 month the game was fun and entertaining but sometimes hard to not pay for items or heroes so it cost me a total of maybe 100$ since I’ve started but now I stopped playing because i work hard to build an alliance i was alone most of the time look online and try to recruit for the alliance and I was able to get to maximum capacity and doing good in wars and then i made an announcement to the alliance that i will do a business trip 3 months of no playing because where I was going there were no internet… and when I came back one of the random person in my alliance went the leader of the alliance i ask to have the lead back he block me and kick me out and don’t answer me from my own alliance so this hit me hard and I ask the support 3 time for help and they do nothing exept said talk to the leader and ask him to let you be leader again but I’ve tried everyday for like 2 week and he was playing everyday and never able to get it, so very sadly stop playing and I told all the people I know to stop playing also 1 of them was in my alliance and the rest was trying to start i told them dont start play this Also you get new content (heroes) every month or so… you getting gear and get ready with a new team they bring a stronger one so your team is getting weak fast every month so you are never like well established… but the worst part for me was having my alliance stolen its very insulting !
