DC UNIVERSE INFINITE App Comments & Reviews

DC UNIVERSE INFINITE Positive Reviews

This Subscription Is Awesome. I Highly Recommend.I want to start off by saying how happy I am that I got this subscription for me and my girlfriend to watch and get into the DC universe together . The shows they have on here , are absolutely top tier . I see that many of the reviews on here are talking about how the app crashes , but they were mostly a year ago I’m sure , correct me if I’m wrong . This app has no crashed on me once and it has been 3 months . Another thing that I see is being mentioned is inconsistent flow of new content , now I understand it can be annoying but I honestly think the amazing shows that are on here make up for it . Like I said I’ve only had it for 3 months but I’m 90 percent sure that all the bad reviews this app was given have been read by the devs and taken care of ! I actually just saw them put more content and animated movies last week ! What I’m trying to say is the flaws that were mentioned in previous reviews have been taken care of , which goes to show this team handling DC universe is amazing ! And to top of it all of this is only 8 dollars a month ! I highly recommend. It was the best subscription I had bought this year ..Version: 2.14.2

Good but can be a lot betterHuge DC fan. Been a sub since this app came out. But I have written the devs numerous times the past year and half. Telling them how I need to restart the app a few times before it will actually let u use it..they always say they know of the issue and will have it fixed shortly and stuff like that. Yet been almost 2 years now and numerous contacts with devs. 5 times have written them or gave a written comment. Also really would love to have the devs put all their content they have on the app. Does drive me batty that so many movies, series and animated stuff aren’t on here, yet have been out for years. Instead they put out some stuff for few months, take it off and put a few different old stuff on. Heck put it all on all the time like your competitor Marvel does.. Am glad they have given us a better selection to comics and made a lot of more ease of use to the consumer on finding the comics you want and have all the others of the same title easy to find. Rem. When they would put out a lot of comics. But they Weren’t complete at all, for instance a older comic may have a series of 56 in the set yet they would have only 30 on the app. So extremely happy they have gotten a lot better with the comics but still room for improvement. Still missing some issues In a series. All and all love DC so will continue to pay my sub hoping that they will give us a lot more content to watch and read then they do know and just keep it on at all times..Version: 2.11.2

Good, But With Some Needed Room For ImprovementI have been a part of this app since it first launched back in 2018, back when it wasn’t just a reading app, and continued over when it’s original content made the switch over to HBO MAX. I have greatly enjoyed the many different types of comics I have come across, but in the past few months I personally have been experiencing a particular issue with the app, which despite reassurances from the support team, has yet to be resolved. I want to preface everything by saying that this is still a worth wild app to have, but the issues that have continued to present themselves, and the seemingly inability of the support staff to correct it, does put a slight damper on the total experience. And while I know that these hard working men and women are doing there best, clearly there needs to be more done. (For those curious about the issues I am talking about, they are that the app, when used on an iPad Pro 13, is trapped on portrait view when on the app homepage, and is unable to flip over to landscape view unless you are actively reading an issue. Also the reading event pages, instead of going from the next issue in sequential order as shown by the reading guide, it goes to the next issue in the individual series. For example, Fear State the complete story starts off in an issue of Catwoman, then what’s supposed to be next according to the app is an issue of Harley Quinn. Instead it takes you to the next issue in Catwoman instead of following the reading order and showing you the HQ issue.).Version: 3.6.3

Mixed bag of content. Subpar delivery.Fine if you enjoy comics, however the other content, is severely lacking. There are interesting series. Eg. Harley Quinn, but not much else. Some of the animated features you’d expect to be on there are just missing. So are live action DC movies that are popular. I expected a pass to most things DC. I got a few exclusive ideas, little that are good, some good animated films but far from all of them and to top it off the UI is just straight up bad. Whether it be for comics, the encyclopedia, or streaming, I constantly asked, why does this work like that? Why can’t I collapse this menu, why can’t I automatically go to the next comic in the run every time, etc. The service just feels like it’s it finished. Not all the ducks are in a row to make it fully worth while and it shows most through lack of must watch streaming content. The best thing here is the comic library. However, if you like comics you’re better of with other services. Try Shonen Jump. It’s only 1.99 and while they’re not perfect you still have access to a lot of the most popular Shonen for a low price and you can always go immediately to the next chapter. In conclusion, the service is just OK but that’s not enough today, with all of the services offered. Big question why is the Snyder Cut not planned to be here but on HBO Max. I’m not even looking forward to it, wasn’t a fan but that’s literally something DCU should have exclusively. No questions asked. Is everyone really onboard to this exclusive content service?.Version: 2.11.2

Love this app, but…There’s tons of room for improvement. Load times can be obnoxiously long. Not always, but often enough to be problematic. Sometimes consecutive pages can take near a minute to load. The browsing experience is good, but lags far behind the competing Marvel Unlimited app. Sorting by release date for the entire catalog would be great. It’s kind of there, but I find it’s often missing books I know are on the service. Sorting by a character and getting every book they’ve appeared in would be cool too. I know even Marvel doesn’t have this perfected on their app, and it’s a massive ask, but DCUI is even worse in this area. Also this may be a major or minor issue for you, but it doesn’t seem to have the support or care of it’s team like Marvel does. Just reading patch notes you can see how into the service (and the comics) the development team is. They call out and respond to issues the community brings up. This team just throws out that they “fixed bugs and stability issues,” yet rarely address the bigger issues the community has been asking about for years. Having said that this app is a must for comic book lovers, and perfect for those getting into comics. I’ve had the service since it launched and it’s the only subscription service I refuse to go without..Version: 3.5.1

UntitledA few things I feel I should share. As I feel I’m the biggest fan of the DC creative world. I’ll get right to it. First of all, it’s pretty poor of this site to encourage people to subscribe when there isn't a constant flow of content being added. Specifically the Young Justice: Outsiders animated series. This series is a cartoon and I feel that it’s wrong to give us a measly 8 or so episodes and make us wait several months for the new season. It’s a cartoon. No one is going to care once those months are up and the new season is out. Secondly, comics are no longer downloadable for me and I know I still have data space to install on. I’m happy with the Titans TV series. It’s very realistic as it should be because DC is about what’s real, not the pretty and magical focus that Marvel has. Furthermore, I think in-addition to the Outsiders animated series you should add a Red Hood and the Outlaws animated series. Very explicit and mature rated for adults. Recently got into the comic and it’s very good. Just a few things I discovered that would help. Lastly, why is this app that I pay for not up to date with these Batman comics? I’m hearing about Three Jokers and from what I can see this app has even finished the City of Bane arc. That’s ridiculous. We should be receiving the content as it’s released. Because we subscribe. We shouldn’t be out of the loop like this. We’re fans..Version: 2.14

I hate that I don’t like this app.I hate to hate on this app, but my love for DC comics shouldn’t blind me to the fact that this app is not very good. The user interface is very clunky for one thing. I can be scrolling on the app and then it’ll just scroll me farther down the page. Another thing, I have a year long subscription to the site, but anytime I click on something it takes me back to the page to pay for a subscription again. I looked in my settings! It still says I have a premium account! The subscription is supposed to be good until mid-December 2019!! What’s going on DC? You guys need to figure this out. Finally, there is no help offered ANYWHERE on the app for troubles like mine where it’s asking me to pay for a membership again even though I have paid for one. That’s why I hope developers are reading these reviews because I genuinely want to love this app. The original shows will be great, I can’t wait to read comics on it, and I can’t wait to watch the old cartoons and movies. I just want all of the bugs to be sorted out. Like I paid for the subscription and $75 is a lot of money to put toward something. The least I should be able to do is watch something on the dang app which is a staple of the service: Watching the movies and television shows. Please fix these issues. I can’t wait to love this app. EDIT: I’ve had the premium membership for about a week to two weeks now. The UI is still clunky at times, but the one thing I was clicking on that was malfunctioning was only a certain video and worked when I loaded it on my computer. I truly love the content being offered on this app and once the developers, who have been very active on this review page which leads me to believe they’re being very proactive in trying to solve these issues, figure out the problems, this subscription service can be a truly great thing. The second this app is fixed, I’ll come back with 5 out of 5 stars!.Version: 1.5

MISSING SO MUCH CONTENTWhy can’t I watch EVERY SINGLE DC COMICS PROPERTY?!?!?!. Why is it that when I look for Smallville it’s not even an option? Why can’t I watch the latest DC Comics movies or TV shows that has been released? No Man of Steel, no Wonder Woman, no Justice League, no teen titans go, no Arrow-verse. I get that maybe contracts with other networks and subscriptions are holding them hostage or that DC wants to make sure they get paid for their latest movies but I feel lied to. I feel deceived. I thought I’d get access to EVERYTHING DC COMICS. I can confirm you DO NOT! As the app currently stands it’s a monthly payment to have a trip down memory lane. This should NOT be called DC universe. It’s more fitting to call it DC Classics. Yes, they have great nostalgic content but it stops there. It feels like they have a incomplete catalogs of content. It feels like they are in such a rush to release a service that isn’t even giving the “all access” content. Then on top of failing to give you that access they want to lock new upcoming shows like Titans (which looks garbage btw) and the beloved Young Justice franchise to this app. No wonder why, they need to entice you to join the service somehow right? It’s unfortunate that DC Comics continues to screw things up all for a quick buck. By the way my complaints are only with the viewing content, don’t even get me started on the comic book side of things. It has content, but it lacks so much content at the same time. I hope they actually give us the “all access” experience they have been raving about. Until then this app is anywhere between ok to don’t waste your money, but far from awesome or amazing..Version: 1.0.1

Love the content! But the UI is frustrating.TL;DR the filter function needs to be overhauled, a favorites section needs to be added, the recently read section needs to be more robust and include storylines, and there needs to be more thoughtfulness behind how many hoops the user has to jump through to interact with the content I love everything about the quality of the content within the app, but I think there are some interface issues that are not given enough care or attention. The filter in the comics section, how it is interacted with, and the how we open comics in general is just flat out atrocious. I literally groan when it comes to searching for specific content in storylines or by eras because the filter options seem to reset every time I so much as look at anything else. No option exist for jumping back into specific storylines, so if I want to go back to reading a main series and all the tie-ins, not only can I not do that from the recently read section, but I have to go back and use the (again, atrocious) comic filter to jump back into what I was reading. An option should exist to favorite specific eras, storylines, heroes, etc. to allow readers to jump back into content..Version: 2.2.1

OverwhelmedWhen I first heard about the service I was wary to pay for a whole year in case I didn’t want the service after a month or so… After two weeks I have to say I am completely satisfied. Not only is there an abundance of material to look into there’s a whole community of people that just want to chat about things that you want to chat about. To me that’s the best part. If you’re going in looking to get all the latest blockbuster movies and all the latest blockbuster comics then you’ll be upset. If you’ve already started collecting all the rebirth comics and own all the DCEU movies then this is the next step! There full strings of comics I never would’ve paid for but have always wanted to read. As a 22 year old I missed out on everything before 2000.... so I just used wiki. This has been so nice to read old comics and watch old shows. Plus the new animated movies are fiiire. I just can’t even believe it hasn’t been two weeks and it can only get better. Any complaints you have you can post and a rep replies to you. 5 stars bruh.Version: 1.0.2

Love the service but it needs some tuningI wasn’t really a huge comic reader until this service came out. Ever since I’ve been going through storylines by the boatload. The plethora of movies and tv shows is a lot of fun as well. My biggest complaints are that crossover comics don’t streamlined at all. Issues will end with “story continued in (insert issue here)” but that issue isn’t linked or any where close to where you are reading the current issue. This brings me to my second issue: finding individual comic issues is insanely difficult. You can search for a storyline and get completely unrelated comics but not the ones you are looking for. For example: I searched for Robin #130 as it was listed at the end of a different issue I was reading. Rather than getting a selection of Robin comics sorted by those sharing the specifications I searched I get “Catwoman #3” or “Teen Titans Year One”. It seems like the search engine prioritizes individual parts of a search over the entire search itself. Also- the amount of movies that are missing is kinda ridiculous. No Batman vs. Robin, no Batman Bad blood despite them both being a part of the Animated Movie Universe is kinda crazy.Version: 2.11.1

A glimpse of great things to come!Ok guys, that is still a work in progress, still with its current minor glitches, this service is 100% worth it and just heaven for DC fans. I very much would like to see more comics, specifically, complete graphic novels. I don’t expect DC to give away new content, but I don’t see the point of, for example, releasing only the first issue of older classics like Red Son. This is a bit frustrating, especially since I own it, and it would be so more convenient than digging my sealed old issues. The streaming is near perfect, the Daily DC show is great, the animation selection is great and so are the DC catalog releases through the Nolan Trilogy. I’d love to see the Zack Snyder movies, uncut, and if they wanted to blow the subscriptions out of the water #releasethegoddamSnyderCut (tip of the hat to Frank Miller). As is, this is a great service out of the box, and don’t tell DC, but I’d pay twice the price for this geek’s DC love fest. Yes, I love the DC Universe Streaming Service. Can’t wait for the original content, especially Doom Patrol. If you love DC, don’t miss this great service..Version: 1.1

5 Stars for the contentAs a 48 year old, I’ve seen a lot of things change in my lifetime. Fortunately, comics have gotten better. How we read them is so different than when I was a kid. I used to stand in a bookstore for hours on a Saturday (or weekday in the summer) and read comics or flip through a cool book that was picture heavy. I remember buying the Death of Superman as it came out. I was there when Batman got his back broken by Bane. I fell in love with Todd McFarland when he put the “Torment” series together for Spider-Man. It was awesome. BUT, now I can sit on the couch with my son and look at these same comics through the app on an iPad. Amazing colors and definition, the selection is freaking fantastic, and the way you can discover material is presented very well. You can do storylines, characters, writers, periods, you name it. I’ve been a member since it came out..Version: 3.12

Pretty goodI’ve enjoyed this app for the most part, but there are some things holding it back from a 5-star rating. I was really excited when I first downloaded it because the idea of unlimited movies, TV shows, and comic books sounds amazing to anyone. However, I soon found out that it doesn’t have every DC TV show or movie. I’d assume that they’re either trying to get the rights back or they’ll shuffle out with certain shows and movies. They also don’t have nearly as many comics as I’d like, but it’s understandable or else DC would lose lots of money. My other issue is with the downloads. Sometimes my downloads straight up stop and I can’t get them started again. This is a problem because I then have to cancel the download, but it still counts towards the limited number of downloads, which is my next complaint. You’re only allowed a certain number of downloads on an episode of a TV show or movie for the year, and when the downloads don’t always work, it still counts towards that. Everything else was great but hopefully DC fixes the above problems or changes certain rules like the download limit..Version: 1.2.1

Not ready for prime timeMake no mistake — so far, the major reason to purchase a subscription to DC Universe is the quirky live-action Doom Patrol TV series, which shows enormous promise. However, this app isn’t quite ready to support the rest of the content on the service, which mainly consists of a curated comics library. The reader app frequently has trouble loading pages, resulting in an annoying error page with Batman’s Butler Alfred showing up way too frequently. It also has a major error of being unable to load the next comic in a series without having to navigate back through the menu structure. My major gripe with this service, though, is that for $8 per month, I expect more content. The Titans series is subpar and not worth it. So that leaves the comics — and there appears to be far fewer comics available to read here than on ComiXology Unlimited or Marvel’s unlimited subscription service. If you’re looking for every title or every comic in the titles they have available, look elsewhere. So far I’m thinking this isn’t worth the subscription fee yet. I’m hoping they’ll step up their game..Version: 1.7.1

Great service, underwhelming app.Adding the comics to the subscription service was a fantastic idea, and the sheer amount of content makes it more than worth the price. The app, however, still has its bugs. The videos will often stutter. When you get to the end of an issue, it is very unreliable when it comes to the button that allows you to move on to the next, often just giving me a grey box where that feature usually is and I have to go back through the menu. Right now I am dealing with the app not even opening for me, just showing the loading screen for a second before kicking me out and closing. No amount of deleting and reuploading the app or turning my tablet on/off has helped. I’m on my free trial, and while the content is worth the price, I have a hard time investing money in a service that is so hard to use. I read comics on my iPad and switching to desktop would not be worth the price for me. I get that the service is still ironing out the kinks, and I respect that. But, at this point, I have a hard time spending my money..Version: 2.7.1

Could be betterThere’s a great collection of back issues here, absolutely worth the price for that alone. However, as a modern app it’s lacking a lot of QoL. There are no filters for things like release date, issue number, or story arc. Searching for a particular issue means scrolling through possibly hundreds of issues, each time. There is no way to sort a custom library beyond adding series to a list. The “Dive Back In” selection displays titles you’ve already finished, making it a headache to navigate. The reader is very lackluster. There is no functionality beyond simple zoom and poorly-cropped panel-by-panel viewing. There are so many bugs I can’t list them all here. Support has been great about fixing the ones I’ve come across, but expect to pay $12 a month and read comics for less than half that time. Worst of all, the Marvel app has zero of these issues. If you’re wanting to read back issues, it’s great. If you’re anyone else, just use Hoopla or read Marvel. ‘Nuff said..Version: 3.23.1

Almost perfect.First let me say that this app is UNBELIEVABLE! I initially got it to rewatch the Justice League series but little did I know I’d be able to read comics too. The catalog is extensive and panel reading feature is amazing; I really can’t put my phone down. I rotate from landscape to portrait depending on the panel but that’s not too much work so it’s fine. My only issue is the video playback on mobile. While on desktop I have the ability to skip to the next episode once the end credits start, that feature is missing from mobile. If I try to fast forward to the end of the video, for some reason the next episode starts from the spot I fast forwarded to in the previous episode. Also, the comic reference to episodes in the desktop version is missing in mobile. Lastly, it’s be a great UX feature if we’d be able to “Star/favorite” the reference comics for later reading after an episode. All in all, app is dope as hell. So dope I wrote a review, I never do lol. Ps Waiting for the PS4 app!.Version: 2.7.1

Actually two subscriptions?I originally subscribed for access to the television library, which has been moved to HBO Max. I enjoyed the app enough even without it to spend the subscription fee, but now it seems several of the titles I’ve been reading are moving to the new Ultra section and I would have to pay double to keep up with them. I would have contacted DC through the app, but as soon as I click on the “account” section the app freezes and crashes, always has since launch (at least for all my iPhones and iPads). I will likely unsubscribe, the app itself has been good, but with the new changes I personally don’t see enough value to justify spending closer to $20/month and now I don’t know that “new” content released will be worth the core subscription price either without access to the Ultra material. I’m sure for avid readers that price point to only be a month behind actual releases would be worth it, but to a more casual fan like myself I’m just not so sure..Version: 3.7

Love the access to DC Comics but…Have spent a whole lot of time using the Marvel Unlimited app and one of my biggest complaints for that is their reading guides are pretty minimal and can be hard to maneuver. I love that the reading guides on this app are fully complete with either the core story or including all of the tie ins. But my biggest complaint is the overall maneuverability of this app; when having the device landscape the app when outside of the comic doesn’t change which is just inconvenient and a hassle, when reading a major crossover event it doesn’t give you the suggestion for the next issue in the reading guide, it just offers the next one in the series, and when reading an issue with smart panel it can take multiple attempts to go to the next panel and I’ve had sometimes where it just skips a panel or two. Overall I do really like the app it just could really use some quality of life updates that would make the experience a lot more pleasurable..Version: 3.23.1

Please fix the movement of pagesI downloaded and subbed, and couldn't get into reading an issue enough. For the screen bouncing around so much in trying to pinch zoom in and out. It needs quality checks on this, bad. As trying to pinch zoom can cause the page to move instead of zooming in or out. Just ruining the immersion. This aspect of your service should be a high priority as without this users may feel perturbed to continue subscribing. Especially those that like to efficiently, power read until sated. Or when a story is engaging enough. This little quirk in design throws me off, from enjoying your content. There's also no quick way to progress to the next page, especially if zoomed in. As the user then needs to zoom completely out to be able to change the page. Which with the page moving around instead of zooming out it becomes too much a boorish chore. tyvm.Version: 3.26.1

Pretty great! This app is amazing! The content is great and there are so many clubs to join! First about the content, there are so many shows and comics to watch. It even has Batman: The Animated Series! The comics too, there are thousands of comics to choose from, originals, New 52, Rebirth, and so many more! Now the clubs, there’s a fan art, Batmobuddies, who celebrate the Batmobile, and so many more for everything. But I’ve run into trouble with one of the moderators. There was a “Ask Dr. Quinn” comment thread and I posted a question a week or two ago and the other day I posted a comment that said “Please remember to respond to me Dr. Quinn!” And a moderator took my comment, and question, down because I was “spamming” so the moderators on this app consider gentle reminders spamming now. I won’t say which moderator it was, but that brought my experience with this app down. I would’ve given this app 5 stars if it wasn’t for the experience with the moderator. Thank you!.Version: 2.10

Finally! This is the subscription I’ve wanted!!This latest update adds their 20k comics into the app. This is what I’ve been waiting for! Selection is excellent. Still not 100%, and they’ve still got a few problems. Most notably Action Comics and Detective comics, with over 400+ issues to load each screen, it basically cant load it on my iPad, so I have to add them to a list on computer. Minor inconveniences aside, THIS ..... IS ..... WHAT ..... I ...... WANTED!!!! Don’t really care about their tv shows, it’s the comics and they finally delivered on that promise. I think their comic reader is quite good. Not completely comiXology level good, but better than everything else out there except comiXology. The scan level for graphics is excellent. The app itself is still rough in some places. Filter function needs work (like ability to search for other characters besides the 6 most popular ones), and everything is still a bit Batman heavy, unfortunately, but DC seems to be improving on all of it. My biggest fear after a year is I’d have paid a subscription fee for a token comic collection while they promote their tv shows, which I cared nothing for. I am happy to report I am completely wrong and their comic book fans are being well served by the subscription. A few more app refinements and this will be a 5 star app. They’re already going to get a renewal out of me with their new comic offerings..Version: 1.10

Not RenewingLove it, but their lack of platform support makes it worthless to me. It’s too bad but my guess in an attempt to subvert piracy they don’t allow their content to be streamed online and in a foolish move they’ve chosen to only make apps for phones, tablets and a few TVs but unless you have the top of the line tv you’re forced to watch on a phone or tablet. Now maybe it’s age but I don’t like watching on my on a smaller screen. Make an app for Mac or allow online viewing and I’ll happily pay for your service cause I love the content but without a way to watch where I can see what I’m paying for it feels like a waste of money. Sure some people pirate because they don’t want to pay and want everything for free but sometimes it’s done for reasons that could be avoided if companies could see beyond their own fear that their profit won’t be as big as they want it to be..Version: 2.4.1

Needs more live action classics, not user-friendlyI purchased an annual subscription, and while I’m not regretting the purchase, there’s a lot DC can do to improve this platform. For starters - DCU desperately needs more live action classics. The live action movies/ tv series are EXTREMELY LIMITED. I know the platform is new, but not a single live action Batman film is inexcusable. I don’t know if it’s an ownership/rights issue, but they are going to have a hard time gaining subscribers if they don’t drastically improve their selection. While I do like the fact that there are so many comics to read - it’s also worth mentioning that searching for SPECIFIC comics on the app is difficult. And generally speaking - the search function is very finicky. Even though I know the comic is on the app, I can search for a writer, and the issue won’t appear in the search results. It’s very annoying!! I hope they make the app more user friendly and also integrate their store into the actual app (as opposed to redirecting you to the website)..Version: 2.0

Great App looking forward to improvements.I’m loving this app! The subscription model lends itself so perfectly to comics. I’m binge reading titles I never would have given a second thought to if I had to buy them individually. As someone whose been reading comics for almost 30 years, I’m amazed by all the awesome stuff I’ve been missing out on! Some suggestions/gripes: - I have trouble accessing my downloaded items when I have a weak cell signal. Why does my cell signal affect things downloaded on my device? - Could downloaded titles be in separate title specific folders? ComiXology and the DC app both use this model. If I want to go to Swamp Thing 42, then I should have a Swamp Thing folder I can go to to find that issue. Having a generic download folder tends to be clunky. -trying to sync with my AppleTv is sketchy at best. I have to restart the app several times between episodes. -I know there is a gap between new books and what appears on the app. I’d like to see new books at a reduced per issue rate (since I’m already paying for a subscription). This is my biggest gripe with digital comics-the digital copy that I never really own costs the same as the physical book that can be sold on the secondary market for more than my initial investment. Considering the rise in prices, this makes that gap all the more irksome. I’d almost be willing to pay slightly more per month for a subscription, if I could get new releases at a reduced rate. There has to be a balance between those two ends. And hey—the other guys aren’t doing that, so why not give it a shot?.Version: 2.0

Sorting is a mess - Great once you actually find what to readIt functions and works fine when you are reading. In my past five years of on and off using this app, I’ve concluded that the sorting in this is terrible. The competition gets so much right, and this can’t even let me sort when I look at one of my favorites all the releases of an issue by newest to oldest. This means if you open up a title you need to scroll through like 100 issues before you can read the newest. Also sorting all comics by date ranges doesn’t include a release issue in that range, but if not if the series started at that date. This has to be some of the dumbest sorting logic ever, and while it is a value, to pay any money for such a terrible user experience never seemed worth it beyond a discount or trial to me. I really hope n the next 5 years they learn how to make getting to your comics easier. Just copy the competition. Take notes, please..Version: 3.21.1

Small complaints. Major compliments.I love access to comic storylines that allow a silver age guy like myself to catch up on the storylines that have developed since I gave up comics 30 years ago. The new shows are great and it’s equally great to see the old shows out from obscurity. The comic reading app is just the best though I wish it were more reliable so I didn’t have to reset the app on Xbox every other comic. I hope you’re planning to put everything on this app, there’s a lot of golden and silver age stuff no one gets to see and while I’m sure it’s not all great it represents a portion of history that is fading further as time goes on. There’s a benefit to corporate in keeping the antique on display for youth, encouraging kind feelings toward the past and growing nostalgia into mature understanding builds tolerance for variety so maybe you don’t need universe ending crises every few years..Version: 2.7

Good selection, but really hard to read anythingI’ve only been using the comics part of this app, but it’s not that impressive. I like the selection (but I don’t have super obscure taste, so take that with a grain of salt) and there’s a Reading Lists feature that Marvel Unlimited seriously lacks, but I’ve had trouble actually accessing the comics. About once an issue, I’ll get a vague “something is wrong” error message. Sometimes reopening the comic or app works, but I’ve also had nothing work, and I have to just read the next issue and hope I can figure it out. It’s also very difficult to navigate: rather than allow you to go to the full series when you look at an issue, you have to search for it yourself, unless you access the issue in one specific location on the My DC page. I’ll keeps slogging through the terrible interface because I really want to read the comics, but it’s one of the worst ones I’ve seen (counting buggy illegal comic sites)..Version: 2.0

Good but needs workI’m only going to discuss the comics portion of this app as I have not had reason to use the video portion as of yet. Functionality: Love that the keep reading option allows you to download the next issue right away. Don’t like that I have to manually go back in to delete the previously downloaded issue. An option to auto delete should be made available. Please do something about how, after downloading like above, the comic opens to the last page. It should open at the cover, not the (possibly spoiler filled) end of the issue. Sometimes the issue will download but open to black. Restarting app, going to downloads section and opening from there (instead of the keep reading screen) is the only way to read it. Comic Content: Needs more issues available. I know the service is still young and more will be added with time, but having such a low count for events and such is poor planning. Want to read Final Crisis? Crisis on Infinite Earths? 52? Enjoy the, at most, four issues available. Most only have one issue available. A lot of Batman available though. That’s locked down. Also needs more current content. I love going back and reading classic runs, but even Marvel has current content from six months ago available in their Unlimited app. As stated, I’m sure comic content will find its way over time, but it seems small for a launch..Version: 1.3

Visual IssuesI love the app, do not misunderstand me, I think it does a pretty good job of providing people with comics. However, I have one particular grief with this app. For some reason, whenever I’ve past like the five minute mark(sometimes even less) of being on the app, my screen flickers to black and renders my phone useless. I have to tap the screen and my power button multiple times before it turns back on. But then it happens again a little later and the cycle repeats. How do I know this is not just my phone acting up? Because this only occurs when I’m actively on the DC Universe Infinite app, it has never happened on any other apps other than this one. There was a period of time where I uninstalled the app and none of this happened. Then I recently download it again and it happens once again. I don’t know how to fix this and I would appreciate some help. Thank you and good luck :D.Version: 3.20.1

Decent service, limited platformsI really like the service, but in Canada there’s no option to view comics via the web, and the iOS app won’t install on M-series Macs. Trying to read all of these comics on a phone screen is a bit unpleasant, and there’s extra friction knowing that I have bigger screens that I can’t use with the app..Version: 3.24.3

Was good but not anymorePlease fix the landscape. Impossible to read now on iPhone and it’s not on desktop. Definitely not worth the membership if it isn’t fixed..Version: 3.6.1

Solid reader but no saved stateSearch, discovery, and reading are well implemented but unfortunately the app doesn’t indicate what’s read/unread inside your library. It has commands to mark issues as read but that doesn’t appear to do anything useful. Would be a 4-star app if it displayed read vs unread state on the issue covers (see Marvel Unlimited for an example). As it stands, you have to track your reading outside the app..Version: 3.13.1

Locked to portrait orientationOffers free comics on a monthly basis. Not a fan of the double paywall for Vertigo content. Codes are limited to US audience. Will stick to the library for print/digital trades, and physical copies..Version: 3.21.1

Fantastic app!Only thing needs improvement is uploading older issues. There are lots of gaps in older series like Superman vol. 2 (1987)..Version: 3.26.0

Great for all DC fansThe app has an extensive digital archive of comics from DC. There are some back issues that are missing though. DC probably has good reasons for this. I lost my own comics collection in a tragedy a few years back and it’s been great to reread some of those old adventures again on my IPad. I am actually impressed with some of the newer material too..Version: 3.24.1

Disappointing Updates. There’s some good stuff here, but it seems largely focused on archiving recently released material. There’s big gaps of missing issues in major series like Adventures of Superman, World’s Finest and Showcase. For several months they’ve only been adding books that were released within the last year. If you want to read whatever DC published a few months ago, then this is the app for you. If your interested in reading anything older than that, prepare to be frustrated..Version: 3.16.0

A very good app with 100 years worth of comicsI just started my 3rd year with an Ultra subscription. Most of the problems I have had with the app on an older iPad can be fixed by making sure there is lots of storage space and turning off caching in the app. As for the dreaded Alfred, I found a lot of the missing comics can be found in the omnibus or the volumes. I download the omnibus before reading and then delete it after I have read it, (Thank you for the new delete button). This stopped the app from kicking me out while reading. No problem when reading comics under 30 pages. A very good app with a big library.Version: 3.20.0

Better than expectedI have only been using the app for about 15 days now. Before I purchased it I have to admit I was a bit worried about the reviews regarding Alfred showing up a bunch. He must be cleaning the bat cave cause so far he did not visit me. This app made me fall in love with comics again as you can follow up on multiple series so quickly,it also shows you in what order to read them for miniseries in case some others with different titles but related to the main one you are reading came out in between. So far 10/10.Version: 3.19.0

Good but not great. Marvel’s still better. When this app works, it works well. There’s a great collection of new(er) and classic DC titles here, with useful reading lists and a good interface. However, the app does have a tendency to freeze on the “My DC” page, requiring an uninstall and reinstall to fix. Also, I’m not at all impressed with the new “Ultra” tier. While it does drop the embargo window for new titles from six months to only one month, it also costs almost twice the introductory price I paid! Also, prompts for these new titles are now scattered throughout the app, making you feel like you’re missing out if you don’t sign up. Marvel Unlimited is still the better over-the-top comics service, offering a shorter embargo window of only three months at the base price, along with exclusive content developed just for the app. Fifty years later and they’re still beating DC!.Version: 3.7

Ten Nights of the Beast animated filmI think a Ten Nights of the Beast film would be fantastic, seeing Batman face an almost force of nature like assassin in KGBeast who tests him in both mind and body. I can easily see it being one of the best animated DC films ever if given the chance..Version: 3.13.1

Would be great if….I love this app… but it gets really glitchy when I try to download comics on to my phone..Version: 3.13.1

Great app but…It’s a great app! Only thing that is missing is a rating system, would love to have a friends list to share what each other has read, rated, reviewed ect….Version: 3.10

GreatNeeds rating system for comics and ways to like comics.Version: 3.8.1

Great service and selection for new readersCanadian user who got an annual subscription on sale Perfect on an iPad and very readable on iPhone thanks to the panel by panel feature. Great quality and organization of books..Version: 3.8.1

UI Needs WorkThe app overall is nice, I’ve been waiting for the service to come to Canada. I find the “My Comics” part of the app to be laid out poorly when compared to Marvel. There is also no indicator without clicking on the actual comic to remember if you’ve already read it or not. This would be a welcomed fix if they could manage it..Version: 3.8.1

Good but crashes all the timeI like it but it’s annoying because I sometimes have to delete and redownload for it to stop crashing.Version: 3.6.4

Only one issue but an annoying one…This app is almost perfect and I’ve been waiting for it to come for quite some time. Thanks! However: on an iPhone 7 when in portrait mode we loose part of the picture because of the front facing camera that takes part of the screen. But when we turn to landscape and back to portrait again, the image size is adjusted to start just below the camera That is good, but when we continue reading the same problem comes again: the image size goes back to full screen and part of it is hidden by the camera, so we need to reduce the size of the image by pinching with our two fingers or by flipping to landscape and back to portrait. This is especially annoying when panels have text on top of them! If you can address this Warner the app will be 5-star perfect!!!.Version: 3.5.1

I’m just glad it’s in CanadaBeen waiting for this!.Version: 3.5.1

Thank you for finally coming to Canada 🇨🇦I remember being really being disappointed when DC Infinite was announced but it wasn’t available in Canada..Version: 3.5.1
