Great appReally enjoying the app thus far. No longer greatness (see update)It used to be 5 stars when it was supported. Now, on iOS 12, it won’t even start. On iOS 15, it asks for a login. The description here says it has a “not now” option for the login; it doesn’t. If it’s there, it’s layers into some login path. Developer’s website would not load, so no longer supported apparently. UPDATE March 18, 2024: With the release of version 2.0.0, I’ll bump it back to 5 stars. I can continue on without signing in now. I think the interface is a little cleaner and more intuitive. Get it!I love this app. It takes pictures of your target, mesures it, grabs caliber, distance and other measurements you want - easy! I know there are some other enhancements in the works that will make it better. Look around at articles on software like this. BX is always there. When working up loads for a new-to-me caliber this app was indispensable in accurately marking and analyzing my targets. For OCW testing you can measure distances to the center which is more accurate than pencils and calipers. Good but would like more for the costApp is great and easy to use and the ability to add a tag to the groups is very handy. I would like the ability to compare groups on the same picture for load development which looking at some other similarly priced apps and programs this one should have that functionality as well. Needs something more then it would be great…You don’t need this app to determine group size or even offset from center. You can do this with a ruler and eyeball estimating. Even CEP is easy by hand. What would be great is a statistical estimate of variation from the group center…not only standard deviation but also 95% probability. For example if you have 9 shots through the same hole and one shot two inches away, that’s a two inch group. But statistically it’s a very small group and that’s more meaningful. An app can make this calculation but it’s hard to calculate by hand. Please consider adding this sophistication.MhirschVersion: 1.2.8+73

Simple and effectiveSimple enough that the 60+ year old guys I shoot with can use it. Preset bullet diameter for any size up to 50 cal, quick distance slider that goes by 100s or tap for manual entry. Hardest part is setting the 1 inch reference if you shoot steel. Easy fix is a ruler slapped on the target for the picture. I’ve used it for load development, challenging myself or friends I can’t physically shoot with, and for dialing in my scope to a perfect cold bore zero..AdenwhVersion: 1.3.4+88

Importing photos needs workWhen I use a photo from my library, it always rotates it 90 degrees when imported into app. You can rotate in app, but only AFTER an overlay, so the overlay is now off by 90 degrees. Not what I thoughtYou must use a 1 in circle or dot somewhere in the photo for it to measure properly and then you must manually enter where each bullet hit. Very useful app for shooters!Excellent application - very well designed from a user-interface perspective. Excellent resource for zeroing a rifle once you get on paper. The only real areas for improvement I can see: 1) as someone already said, you’re already calculating the geometric center of the group - just show it on the screen so people can know exactly where to adjust their crosshairs without having to count turrent clicks. 2) Allow the user to use a different color for the markers. My targets are green which makes it hard to see the marks in my pictures 3) super cool feature would be to be able to build labels and overlays onto one final picture, either by merging pictures or saving and repositioning the POI/impact layers/visual objects from each group, so that at the end you can produce one picture that includes all the groups with the appropriate labels and overlay information. 4) not sure exactly how to implement this, but can you use the gyro/potentiometers to guide the user to take perfectly parallel pictures instead of relying on the user to realize that things are skewed?.BpitasVersion: 1.2.2

You guys have built a fantastically useful app. I am thoroughly impressed, and I’m updating my original review from 4 to 5 stars. I really appreciate you taking feedback and making tweaks. BTW, your user interface is simple, elegant, and uncluttered (one of the best I’ve seen). A couple more MINOR suggestions... - Please label the geometric center of the group with some sort of graphical mark. You’re already calculating the geometric center for AZT, so this should be easy. This is critical info for fans of OCW or ladder tests. - I would humbly suggest that, for AZT, it’s not the POA that your user wants to mark....it’s the “desired POI.” In almost all shooting situations, you want your POI somewhere other than the POA (e.g. zero 2” high at 100 yards). Easy PeasyThis app is awesome and does exactly what it claims. You no longer have to guess or bust out the tape measure to determine your group size. The apps ability to allow you to pick which huts you want and add personalized information onto the end product makes keeping up with load data a breeze. Ballistic-X will do everything but shoot your rifle for you. Overall happy but not what I was expectingIf you don’t mind the tedious process of selecting everything every time it’s a great app. If you’re like me and think for $9 it should be automatic and support the popular calibers I would probably look elsewhere. Maybe I’m naïve and I’m expecting too much but just being honest. Purchased this app assuming it would be automatic in selecting bullet impacts but you have to manually place everything. Also shocked at the very limited options of calibers to select, 300blackout isn’t even an option. You can manually enter in caliber and bullet type which does make up for it though to be fair.
