Habit — Daily Tracker App Comments & Reviews

Habit — Daily Tracker Positive Reviews

Great concept, needs new algorithm. So, between being a mom of two and having horrible anxiety, my memory is nonexistent. Adding depression in the mix I have a hard time getting things done. I have to admit, this app has helped a LOT. I have successfully used it daily for a month now and it helps me remember when I do certain things (as in showering) and making sure I feed and walk my dogs twice a day and don’t forget. I can honestly say this IS the best app for it. BUT. I do not want to give it 5 stars because LOGICALLY, their formula doesn’t make ANY sense to me. The first day you complete a habit, it stays at zero. The next day, it goes to three. According to their page, it “takes 91 days to complete a habit”. But REALISTICALLY, if I start tracking how often I can continue a streak, the first time I do it, it’s 100%. If I do it again, the next day my streak would also be 100%. BUT, If I miss the 3rd day, I would no longer have 100%. SO, what I’m trying to say is that it would be SO much more motivating if it started at 100% because I would be much more likely to fight to keep my 100% than to see small numbers and have to take 3 whole months just to complete it..Version: 1.32

First review of any app! TLDR: This App RocksThis is my first time reviewing any app on the app store and I have used iPhones since the 4s. This really helped me nail the habit I’ve been wanting to pick up the most and thats journaling. Along side journaling, I also implemented drinking tea into my routine. I found that writing myself how long a habit takes to complete in the “Motivate Yourself” section helps a lot in motivating me to get that habit completed. I would suggest taking small habits and building off those. The design is really neat, showing off your percentages of how far along you are into your habit. Reaching a 100 percent is really nice, but I found that I actually have built the habit even before hitting 100 percent completion. Around the time I usually journal I can, almost everyday, remind myself before the app reminds me and I think that speaks volumes about the app. This app is a great tool to have, but like all tools you must know how to work with it. Luckily, this app is super intuitive and it’s easy to build steam with this app and get a few wins under your belt to feel accomplished as you see your percentage reach closer and closer to 100 percent. Definitely recommend this app, poke around with it before you dive in, get a feel then set your first habit you’d like to form, you won’t be disappointed! :).Version: 1.32

The best for sticking with a habitI’ve tried many habit trackers and they never work for me, as most focus too much on “streaks” or not breaking the chain. For a perfectionist like me, missing one day and breaking my streak tends to send me into a spiral where I give up and backtrack on my success. This app changed all that! My goal is now to get to 100 and keep it up! I’ve been using it since January and have reached 100 or close to it on most of my habits and maintained it. The best thing is that missing a day or two doesn’t ruin your score. However, miss several days or a week and you start to see your score go down so you are motivated to keep doing the habit to maintain your score or keep growing it. When starting a new habit, your score grows quickly which is very motivating! I have one habit that I was trying to do 3 times a week but I’m doing it almost every day thanks to this app! I also love how easy it is to see all your habits at once and quickly check them off for that day because today is on the far right. Other apps I’ve used are not this easy. I enjoy looking at the calendar for each habit occasionally, but mostly just stay on the main screen..Version: 1.32

Love It, But Hoping for Some Additional FeaturesI love this app a lot. I especially love the fun, bright color scheme that’s very minimalistic. The bubbles and percentage success is much nicer than a streak-system because there isn’t as much guilt for missing some habits. I also love the new widget feature (BIG reason why I stuck with Habit instead of other apps like Done or Today), but for some reason, only 4 of my habits are showing up on the widget, which is a bit frustrating. I also would love a way to have an account or back up system for my habits so that my progress is saved if anything happens. Finally, I’d love it if I can download this on my iPad as well, but I’m not sure it’s iPad compatible yet. Regardless, I definitely see myself sticking with this app for a while and am excited to see this app evolve!.Version: 1.14

The best app for Habit Tracking!I’ve been looking for an app to list my habits and keep track of them throughout the day. I’m a visual person and need the reminders so I’m on a set schedule. While this is app is beautiful with the colors, and has a percentage system, reminders, no annoying ads, and a great purchase system (I could choose to pay 5$ to get the entire thing?! AWESOME!), I do not like how I set my habits to be certain times a week (for example, I set Reading to 4 times in 7 Days) and it says I’ve only completed 22%. Now this is just personal because I’m not a fan of math and so percentages just confuse me lol. But I am giving 5 stars because it’s the best, most affordable app I’ve come across for tracking habits. Other apps make ads pop up every time or you’re only allowed 3 habits and have to pay a yearly subscription for more..Version: 1.27

Changed service and took away features I paid forEdit: They finally got back to me and helped me restore my premium features. I’ll update again in a month or two if their are any more issues. Original comment: I started using this app a few months ago because it wasn’t a subscription model. I track habits off and on and didn’t want to pay monthly for something I’m not always using. At the time you could pay a one time fee of something like 5.99 to unlock everything and if you’re happy with the service you could pay 6.99 instead as a tip. I paid the 6.99 because I was so happy with the non subscription service. After using it for a few weeks I fell off of tracking and didn’t open the app for about 2-3 months.... (again, this is why I went with this app) Now that I have returned I no longer have all the services that I paid for and they are telling me to pay a monthly fee to unlock something I ALREADY paid for. I contacted them to get this fixed but they haven’t replied to any of my emails. If you offer a something for an amount of money you don’t take it away from people because your prices change. I already paid to unlock everything. Restoring my purchase doesn’t work and they are not responding. Really not happy with this...Version: 1.41.2

Highly recommend!I’ve been using this app for almost two months now, and I LOVE it. I’ve recommended it to a lot of friends already. It’s very straight forward and simple- not a lot of fluff or customization available unless you upgrade, so if that’s what you’re looking for I’d say don’t download. But it’s exactly what I was looking for so I can keep track of my habits, see which ones I need to focus on more if I’ve missed multiple days in the month. It’s great for me to visualize what I want to accomplish everyday, especially because I used to write a note on my phone and then transfer the list everyday. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a way to create better habits in your life and keep track of how you’re doing. Hope this helps!.Version: 1.31

Minimalistic and effectiveI have been tracking my habits for several months - first on paper, which proved disastrous. Later, via apps. A lot of habit tracking apps try to dress it up with “game interface” or limit the amount of habits you can add without premium. I really like this app, Habit, because of how straight forward it is. The amount of clicks to check off a habit is exactly two, which I am extremely happy about. And I like that I can see percentages, based on frequency, which are much more annoying to calculate by hand. I don’t use the reminders, and I’m glad opting out is an option. Thankfully there are no premium ads or pop ups! While I’m not a fan of the bright color scheme, that’s easy to overlook. Thank you for making the app I was looking for! 🙏.Version: 1.6

Simplistic, and ISNT A PAY FOR THINGI’ve went through three habit trackers before I tried this thing, I couldn’t use any of them because even thought they said they were free, they in reality had a giant fee to use the most basic features. One I couldn’t even make more than three habits. This motivates me and has very simple functions, it gets the job done. I love how you can check off your habits from days before in case you did them and you weren’t available to check them of. The layout is extremely simplistic, being only four types of pages you can open, all coming from the opening screen, and leading back to it, but I wouldn’t change this simplistic style for the world. It makes it easy to get used to and get into..Version: 1.18

Was working fine until update.I have had premium for months and it was great but now with the new update the widget keeps telling me to upgrade to premium. I keep hitting “restore purchase” and it verifies it in the app but now the widget is totally useless. Please fix this 😢 Also, I feel like if you stop doing a habit, the percentage should go down? Because it stops becoming a habit ? I was very consistent with some things and they got up to a very high percentage but when I became totally inconsistent it stayed at that high percentage and didn’t motivate me at all. In fact I cleared all of the numbers (and data of my progress, which I wanted to keep, but wanted the motivation more)- so that I was able to “build” the habit that I felt should have to be rebuilt and reflected with the perecentage..Version: 1.41.0

Great AppHello respected developers, This one of the best habits app I’ve came across. Thank you for the simple to use with marvelous features app. The app can be more beneficial if we would be able to categorize our habits for example into morning or evening or skin care habits. If each new habit I would add can go down to the bottom it would be great instead of dragging it to the bottom as I have a huge list of habits. Adding the ability to specify which days of the week exactly for certain habits is needed. I wish you add more colors and note taking on each day. It is still so much helpful app, and I only mentioned what I would like to see in this app, because I love it and I wanted it to grow. Thank you so much..Version: 1.33

Both the Best and Most Annoying App I’ve Ever UsedI’ve been using this app for a few months now and I’ve found it incredibly helpful! Even the free version is packed with features and it’s so simple and easy to use! I love seeing the percentage go up and checking off the days. The graphs are great as well. But..... THIS APP HAS GOTTEN SO ANNOYING Since January 1, 2021, the app has been offering a special on premium paid features. It’s a free app with upgrades, so that makes since and I don’t mind the little reminder at the top. But, EVERY TIME, I open the app (and I mean, EVERY TIME, no matter how long I’ve had it closed, seconds...or hours...) this ad for the special pops up. You have to hit the “x” EVERY SINGLE TIME. At first this seemed like a temporary special, but no, it’s happened EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE I’VE OPENED THE APP (since Jan. 1). There’s absolutely no option, that I can find, to decline the offer for good. Honestly, I love the app, but to keep dismissing the ad every single time I open the app is becoming one of the most annoying things I’ve ever seen. If I have to put up with this longer, I will stop using this app. Oh, and I’ve tried to email their support...but it just sent an auto reply that told me to resend, RESEND, my original request to a new email address..Version: 1.41.1

Satisfyingly Simple & AestheticIf you need a comprehensive, step-by-step, goal-setting system, then this app is not for you. For most of us, we can use our brains or Microsoft Word to write down detailed plans. This app is great for TWO things: a daily reminder to accomplish your goal, and keeping track of how many days you succeeded. The colors are simple and the setup is satisfying: check off another day and the percentage grows and the color fills more of the bar. My phone even vibrates contentedly whenever I make a check mark. I’ve been working out for 22 days now, and this app made me do even more than I was supposed to. I had a goal for 3 times a week, but I hate missing check marks, so I’m working out every single day. 5 stars from me..Version: 1.29

Percentages don’t make senseGreat app but I just took a long hiatus to try another app because the percentages on this app do not make sense. If I have been logging a habit for a while but still miss a few days a week (when I have set the habit up to be every day), it will still show as 100% strength. I just checked back in after 4 months away and one of my habits still shows as 100% just because I’ve checked it off so many times. This has really turned me off from the app because it’s not true to the behavior. I’m willing to try the app again because I love how simple it is, but I have to disregard the habit strengths because they make no logical sense. This really needs to be fixed to create a better app..Version: 1.41.3

Don’t buy premium (yet) if you’re after the widgetI’m super bummed I paid for the premium version and the widget is nonexistent. I don’t want this to color my opinion of your app since I really do enjoy using it but I do feel a bit cheated at the moment. I regret not reading recent reviews before purchasing. Please update with the widget or change your premium advertising to remove any mention of widgets. Widget aside, the app is designed very nicely and I get a lot of satisfaction from ticking my bubbles everyday. I love the minimalist look, clean colors, and overall interface. I don’t feel guilty if I miss a day (like I’ve experienced from other habit trackers) but instead feel motivated to hit my goal the following day..Version: 1.40

Please bring that algorithm back!In spite of the minimalistic design and user-friendliness, I think what actually distinguishes this app from other Habit trackers is the internal algorithm, which “decreases the percentage if we miss repetitions” and “slows down a bit each time with a new repetition”. This truly inspires me to finish daily habits on time and gives me a sense of fulfillment every time I manage to check them off! However, after recent upgrade, that algorithm seems to be taken away. Now, even though I have been roughly missing out for a month, the percentage barely drops. This absolutely wipes out the sense of fulfillment. Hence, I would REALLY REALLY REALLY appreciate it if you could bring that algorithm back or add an option for users to choose. Many thanks for all your hard work!.Version: 1.41.3

Minimalist design, ease of use, needs more featuresI’m no stranger to self-help and productivity apps. I have tried a great deal of them from Habitica to ToDoist. I was looking for a more streamlined, easy to view habit tracker that wouldn’t take much space, time, nor thought to operate. Habit- Daily Tracker is great for ease of use, and simplistic design. All of the features of the app are accessible from a quick swipe or tap, and the learning curve to use the app is minimal. I enjoy the simple colorful design, and the data charts offered are easy to read and comprehensive. I do enjoy the app, however it needs updated features. One such example is the ability to schedule a habit to be repeated more than once per day. For example “brush teeth,” if I want to complete this habit twice daily, I have to make two habits and track them separately. Likewise, you have a limit on how many habits you can track, again stifling options. I contributed $2.99 to the developer because of the beautiful design and ease of use. I am hopeful that additional features will be added in the future..Version: 1.17

Great app! This is a great app! I have downloaded a ton of apps trying to find the right app for my son who needs to take medication every day. He is a teenager and will only use it if it is very simple and easy to use. This app hits all my requirements. He is using it and it has helped with his well being. Thank you! I do have one request. Would it be possible to add a snooze function so when the user is unable to accomplish the task at that moment you could apply a snooze with an opinion of like 10 min or 1 hour or be able to input the time of delay? Sometimes you can’t accomplish the task right away and you certainly don’t want to forget about it. Hope this will benefit all users..Version: 1.14

New Features PleaseI want to start off by saying that I absolutely love this app, and use it everyday. I pay for the subscription and love style, feel, & use. A feature that I’d like to see would be the ability to view my habits graphs layered on top of each other (getting to cross reference different habits against one another). I like the idea of the graphs but I think that we’re not getting the most out of them having it buried away in each individual habit. I like to imagine my habits like a stock performance over time, and would like to be able to compare them to each other, thank you and keep up the good work!.Version: 1.41.10

The best habit tracking appI’ve used so soooo many habit tracking apps and this is the best one!! I love the algorithm they show with the percentages and the charts. I love simple outlook with minimal design and you can choose the color and the layout of the habits as well. I also love how the reminders can be customized. You can also go back and check off your habit if you forgotten. I love the simplicity yet the effectiveness of this app so so much! It can be on your apple watch and can be synced through your icloud which I really love. Also appreciate how we can choose to pay how much we want for the pro version :) I would LOVE LOVE it if it can be on the apple watch!! hopefully that’s a new feature soon :).Version: 1.40

Amazing!I just recently started using this app but I absolutely love it. I love the way you track your habits and it both gives me reminders (literally) of stuff I need to do while not stressing me out at the same time. Unlike other apps that would drop you back go 0 for missing a day or two, this app gives you leeway. Another feature I adore is being able to choose how much you pay for premium. I don't have a lot of spending money so I chose the cheapest option, but I adore the fact you weren't immediately denied the option of premium if you were poor. Highly recommend if anyone wants a low-stress but highly motivated way to stay on track!.Version: 1.8

I love this app! Before I got this app I tried out the other habit trackers and all of them sucked. Not only were they not as colorful as this app, but you couldn’t even use the app because you had to pay a lot of money for everything. Of course to get extra features you can pay money on habit, how else would they make money?! What I love about when you pay you get to pick your price, each price gives the same amount of features but by giving more you are helping out habit. I would totally recommend getting this app and I’d even recommend paying for the extra features because the widget feature is amazing. 🙂.Version: 1.21

I like it so far!I love the visuals when you check off a habit! Like when the colored circle gets bigger. It’s a great way to see your progress and hopefully, I’ll achieve my goals! Hehehe. I’ll keep using the free for another month, if I like it, I’ll buy it! Just give me a little more time to use it. A quick, small thing that needs work is after I make an edit to the habit name, I have to save it twice to see the change. It does t do it on the first try. I can live with that. I just thought it share some light feedback. Ok I’m off to continue using it and I hope you’ll continue to do well and improve where necessary! Great great job developer!.Version: 1.18

Absolutely perfectIt is by far the best app of its kind, its free version is splendid. I loved it so much i bought the premium just to help support the developers. It really was already great as is but the fact that they provide this when pretty much every other app costs 20$ a month or some yearly subscription to do basically just half of what this does free, truly shows that the people behind this merely have others best interest in mind and it really makes me glad. Thank you for making such a perfect app as ive struggled with memory and habits all my life and this has made a drastic improvement in my overall quality in life itself..Version: 1.39

Heaven sentI have probably downloaded about 20 different apps trying to find one that fits everything I need. I run a business and this helps me out SO much with doing everything I need to do. I do, however, wish that there could be “subcategories” in a way. I have a couple of things to do everyday that require me to do that thing multiple times a day. Such as if I were to put “drink water” I would like to be able to mark off multiple of these, whereas now I can only mark off the task once a day. I could create 8 “drink water” tasks a day but I would feel super unorganized and have to scroll down to find my other tasks..Version: 1.6

Tried a lot of habit apps, this is the oneBefore this, I was using the Apple notes app to keep track of all the things I want to accomplish on a given day. It feels good checking those off every day, and I still use it for some things. But, I wanted a place where I could see my progress on an action over time- hence downloading a habit tracker app. After trying out around 10 different apps, I found this to be the best for me. No overly complicated entries, no resetting to zero when you miss a day, one time payment, and simple UI. The UX designers did a great job! Please make an update with more habit colors though, I’ve used them all :).Version: 1.33

The days LINE UP NOW!I wrote a review a few months ago maybe more saying that the days don’t line up which means that when it would show the calendar the days were all mixed up but I rlly do appreciate them fixing it and updating the entire plus they replied to my review which no app ever does that I have downloaded when I write a complaint of course it took time but they replied and asked me to send a screen shot so I went to download the app again to see if the problem was still there BUT IT WASN’T (I had deleted it because the bug was annoying) So now I have downloaded it again and thank you sooo much Habit Tracker..Version: 1.34

Decent for loggingI’ve been using this for a while and it’s a great free app for tracking habits, but it’s algorithm for percent is a little weird. You start off at 0% and it takes months with no gaps to get to 100% it makes learning a new habit really daunting. I have a weekly goal so I wish it would reset weekly, slowly working up to 100% for the week so I get that satisfaction. Alternatively, starting at a 100% and going down everytime you forget to reach your goal would be more motivation to keep your good score, instead of working really hard for you percent to barely move up. That’s why it’s good for tracking but if you really want to hold yourself to something that’s difficult it can be a bit discouraging..Version: 1.30

For being so new, this little app is great. The look of the interface matters a lot to me (makes me much more motivated to use it) and the design and colors of this app are great! I love how simple and efficient it is. My only suggestions so far as it continues to be developed: - being able to set habits for more than once a day (I can set them like this, but every time I go to check it off, the app crashes. would also be nice to check it off each time you do it per day, somehow) - being able to manually choose which color for each task - love the ability to move tasks around! unlimited habits with no catch!.Version: 1.3

Simple is sometimes better.I love this simple little habit app! It’s easy to use and visually pleasing. Some of the other apps I’ve tried either required a pricey subscription or were overly complicated and full of unnecessary features. This app does exactly what it says. It tracks habits. The habits are all free text, so you can track anything you want. The text boxes even allowed me to use emoji, to help visually decorate my habits, which I loved. The fact that the premium version was completely optional (not having premium doesn’t cripple the app) and being able to choose from three pricing levels if you do buy was nice..Version: 1.11

This is amazing! This year I’ve decided to become more productive and organized and this app truly helped me achieve that! It allows me to track my daily and even weekly tasks with new colours for different activities to keep it fun. My one problem is the fact that you can’t choose which colour is for which item. When you put in a new tab, it selects a colour for you. But I’ve learned to time which colour will be selected, so it’s not a major issue. Of course, everything else is amazing in this app! It even shows you your progress throughout the week AND the month! Great app! You won’t regret getting it..Version: 1.6

I’m so happy with this app!Fantastic app! I was looking for a simple habit tracker where I can check off a box per day and track my progress. A lot of apps I found online were very time-consuming and they weren’t better than the piece of paper I had on my friend. Enter Habit! I’ve been using this consistently for about 5 months, and I am seeing progress! I’ve had a nasty habit that I wanted to get rid of for years, and only with Habit have I been able to improve! I’m so satisfied with this app. It is the first one that has really worked for me..Version: 1.41.10

Great app - but cool it on the upgrade offersThe free version of this app is great if you’re just hoping to track progress on a few key goals. However, I wish there was a way to opt out of the premium offer for at least a period of time. Literally every time I open the app for the first time a day - which is the only time I want to use it, since I only use it to track one thing, thus the free version is all I need - it pops up a full screen offer for a discounted version of the premium subscription (an offer that allegedly expires though never actually seems to). Aside from the mounting annoyance I feel at that, it’s a good app. As advertised..Version: 1.41.10

Best Habit Tracker!I’ve always disliked other apps because they made you upgrade to have more than 3-5 habits, tracking wasn’t smooth and they usually require monthly subscriptions. Habit is different! Unlimited habits, smooth percentage based tracking, editing habits if you accidentally skipped a few days, and it’s free! I love that the premium is simply offered and not forced, and includes bonus features rather than essential functions. I would happily pay for this app, but I’m glad the developers saw the need for a free habit app and filled the void. I look forward to purchasing their premium soon to show my support!.Version: 1.12

Requests!Would be nice to have Apple Watch support (being able to check things off on my watch throughout the day in case I leave my phone at home or something). Also, the ability to “check in” multiple times in one day for a specific habit as the Today app enables because for something like exercise I might do it two or three times a day and it’d be nice to see the frequency in a given day instead of only checking off a habit one time a day if that makes sense. Otherwise the app is fairly simple to use and I look forward to seeing it develop even further!.Version: 1.8

Beautiful and clean habit trackerFirst, I love the concept of the bar only being completely colorful if you are constant in keeping the habit - this really motivates me, because I'm an aesthetic-driven person in some ways, and love to see a colorful app, especially when the colors go so well together. Secondly, I think it's fair what's charged for premium. Being unable to spend extra money at the moment, I really appreciate that your team allows me to have more than 3 habits for free. I'd love to have the widget, especially with the new ios 14 update that's coming, so as soon as I'm able, I'll surely purchase this!.Version: 1.32

Wonderful app!I honestly do really love this app, so much I’ve deleted the built in reminders app on iphone and am now exclusively using this one. I really enjoy the minimalistic nice (dare I say cute) design; I also really like the fact that it gives you percentages and statistics on each reminder you complete. It’s v soft and less intense that some other habit and reminders apps that’s design can almost make you feel bad about not completing something or over remind you, making you almost not even wanting to use the app effectively ruining the point of using it. thank you to the developers for this app!.Version: 1.17

AwesomeSimple but good. It’s all you really need.Version: 1.18

!!This app is amazing and I love that it doesn't limit how many habits you can track even in the free version!.Version: 1.13
