HealthView Positive Reviews

Saved the Apple Watch for meI was gifted an Apple Watch, I had a Fitbit. My main goal is to track my activity and health. I liked the Fitbit I only wished I could respond to messages. But because Apple and Fitbit can’t play nice that feature never worked. I was highly disappointed in the Apple Watch Activity app! The fact that I couldn’t see how many total calories burned is insanity. I had to go onto the phone app, and it was a footnote on a chart. It’s terrible!!! I was truly to the point of coming up with a way to ditch this thing! I’ve been searching the internet and somehow stumbled upon this app. I selected the free trial and I am immediately happy! It’s now the best of both worlds. I can see every feature I want and customize it, and use Apple features, like respond to texts! This app has truly saved the Apple Watch for me!.Version: 2.9.3

Just what I was looking for! This app may single-handedly allow me to keep my Apple Watch. I was feeling very frustrated with the thought of losing the beautiful and simplistic fitbit layout that allows you to drill down and see information, but also has a dashboard that is simple and not overblown with information. Every app I had looked at that dissected Apple health info was either ugly and hard to understand, had too much information, or didn’t have enough information. This app has just the right amount of information, and even better customization than the Fitbit app had. The only thing left that this app doesn’t give me that I REALLY love in the fitbit app is the daily heart rate screen, along with the graph shown in color for the heart rate zones. Also the resting heart rate graph is really helpful for me. If they can add these two features, this finally gives the Apple Watch the same beautiful interface as the fitbit app. Thank you!.Version: 2.4

Great app that can still be improved furtherI have used HealthView app for 2+ years and it helps me to keep a track on my activity and dissect the data like no else. I especially like Monthly views to have a better view of my trends. There are still graphs however that are underdeveloped. Take the Body Fat graph that shows just straight line even if my body fat fluctuates by up to 2% in a month (that’s a lot). App properly captures data from Apple Health, just doesn’t scale the graph properly to display changes. I think it assumes that body fat can change 10-15% to show any trend. Same with displaying the average body fat % that only displays rounded number on the overview page. This is like rounding your weight to the next 10 pounds instead of displaying actual weight..Version: 3.0.5

Great App!I have read many positive reviews but also a few negative ones. But I decided to try the app for myself. And I have to say that I really love it! I have been very frustrated this past year with the standard Health and Activity apps built into iOS. The data displayed (especially the Health App) is very difficult to read and manage. Although this app basically just copies over the same data, it displays it in a MUCH better way, with quite a bit of customization. And now I can easily see everything I want with just a quick glance. (I love the ‘Goals’ layout with dark mode). The only thing that I can’t figure out is where it is getting the data for Resting Calories. This is the one field that doesn’t ever match the data from the Health app. (And I assumed this app was just copying over the same info). It’s usually about 50 cal (or so) off each day. It’s not that big of a deal and I’m guessing it’s somehow calculating differently, but I’m curious to know how. My only wish is that they can eventually make this as an iPad app as well, with all the same data. I hate that there are no apps to show health data on iPad, so this would be a dream come true!.Version: 2.9.3

Exactly what I was looking for.Great app overall, but the key thing that sold me (literally) was the easy export feature. Directly exporting from Apple produces lots of data files to sort through. Other apps may sum things up, but still produces lots of files (one per metric) and many only limited history. This one allows you to select just what you want and all into a single file summed by day (if desired) for easy review / manipulation. The only asks would be a workout specific export (incl workout type, duration, etc) and iOS Shortcut hooks for items such as scheduled exports. I’m already a “lifetime”, but this would be icing on the cake. Well done!.Version: 3.0.5

Promising App, Lacks ExecutionI like that this app pulls data directly from Apple Health and displays it front and center, unlike Apple’s complex app. The widgets do not update unless you manually open the app to force it to sync. Wish it supported background refresh. The $60/yr fee is too much to commit to using all the features. While the app only allows 3 data sets, you can “unlock it” more for free by choosing 3 data sets in the app, then 3 different data sets as a widget, to get 6 data sets free. For things like protein, carbs., fats, etc. you can setup a goal; however, the main screen only shows your totals, not total & goals. You have to open each one individually to see where you are at compared to your goal. I’d also like to be able to see weekly graph, but my total show todays current, so I know how I am doing..Version: 3.6.3

Buries daily averagesI do love the simplicity and clarity of the widgets, but there’s no way this is worth $60/yr. The functionality is very simple and is essentially just a wrapper around the HealthKit API. There’s no actual service you’re paying for, like data storage. This is a $15/yr app, at best. The graphs show totals not daily averages, which is kind of pointless. Often times the number of days don’t even match between months (28, 30 or 31), so it’s not useful to view totals. I know you can make an extra tap and go into details to see daily averages, but that extra tap shouldn’t be there. Even the native Health app prioritizes showing daily average. This app also continually spams you with popups about upgrading to their bundle (even after you’ve paid for this app)..Version: 3.6.2

Great dashboard for HealthKit and improving! This is quantified self. Motivating and tons of data to dig into! Want a useful way to view your HealthKit data? This is it. I think this is exactly what Apple had in mind when they did not make HealthKit a fancy app. HealthKit is a secure database and interface. It was designed so that third parties could offer a variety of information displays and inputs to suit the consumers individual preferences. This app is an awesome dashboard to display lots of data, provides great insights through its averages and is even my preferred place to enter water/hydration. It's not perfect yet, but appears to be completely headed in the right direction. In conjunction with my Apple Watch, food logging app, and sleep tracking app the data passed through to HealthView is useful and motivating. Love the customization / flexibility. Love the little goals to measure against. The last update added more food insights and added some more useful averages so I hope this is a sign the developer is active and improving the product to make it even more helpful..Version: 2.4

WOW! ACCESS TO EVERY DATA TYPE APPLE HEALTH HASThis application shows data types or data sets that I didn’t even know that Apple health actually logged from my various health metric applications including the glucose levels waist sizes and body temperature. You can also vary the types of units allowed for most data sets and it is displayed on a well organized format and also creates great number of useful complications in addition to the ones that already exist for the Apple Watch. It is worth to pay the $5.99 for the premium version of this app this is a one time fee. Do not hesitate, get this app!.Version: 2.9.7

Great App; Not Updating Though.I tried the free trial and upgraded yesterday. Now my dashboard isn’t correct and neither that or the Apple Watch complications are showing the correct information. Currently the app dashboard itself says 278, the Apple Watch complication shows 310 and the Apple Activity/Health shows 372. I’m not sure why the Health View ones aren’t updating (I have manually tried to update both as well, and am told they were updated. It’s been at least an hour since I noticed (2 hours into new day). So, I hope it can be fixed. Outside of that I love the application; it’s very customizable and you can even make it similar to Fitbit (which a lot of people came from). Worth the price..Version: 2.9.6

30 days 60 days 90 days 180 daysI like this is great app compared to the stock Apple Health app. However the premium features need some improvement with the charts. The week, month and year option currently is limited to a ‘calendar’ Week, Month and Year. So during the beginning of a period the data shown is limited and not much useful. Please add options to display - 30 Days, 60 days, 90 days, 180 days and 1 year (for 365 days) so it can display by the no of days and not go by the calendar as it is now. Enable this option through a new settings option to switch between ‘calendar’ period and ‘days’ period. All charting standards generally follow preceding no of days!!.Version: 3.0.8

Do Not Update: removes features you paid for alreadyTheir implementation of a new subscription plan removes all of the premium features you have ahead paid for if you owned this app before version 3.1. do not update! the developer has instituted a new subscription fee for what you’d already paid for, not unlike buying a new car with cash and then two years later, the car dealer saying, “oh, hey now also pay us an annual fee or the wheels will stop turning, even though you’ve been doing that fine for two years already.”.Version: 3.1.0

If there was one change I'd give a solid 5 starsI wish there was a way to change the "week" this app shows the week as Sunday-Saturday however the Apple Watch is default Monday-Sunday. So my weekly summary on my Apple Watch does not match my weekly chart on here. I understand not everyone would find this useful, that's why I wish there was an option to pick how/when you want the week to be set up on the app. I love everything else about it though! Quick response from the developer- and I'm told they are working on this feature. I'll give it 5 stars when this is done! I'd give it 4.5 now if I could just based on quick response.Version: 2.4

Best Health DashboardI was searching endlessly for an app that could show me all of my metrics, including those from the Apple Health app. This app has all of those metrics and some additional ones. It's a simple metric, but the ability to show me my Total Calories expended for the day and week has allowed me to make better nutritional decisions. The app itself is simple, but it's indispensable. The Apple Watch compilations are slightly buggy in the large, modular form. Other than that, I use it daily, and I highly recommend this as a fitness enthusiast..Version: 3.5.0

Perfect app for seeing Apple Health dataI love my Apple Watch over my old Fitbit but hate the HealthKit app. HealthView is the ultimate replacement that makes my Apple Watch a useful tool! I love that I can customize the layout to see the data that is important to me. One suggestion would be to make a goal option for a min or max. I.e. I want to set a max goal for carbs that I don’t exceed not a goal I want to reach and go above. This type of goal setting would make this app perfect. Keep up the good work!! Support is also excellent. Had an issue, they responded and now I am back working again..Version: 2.7

Great Fitness TrackerI have used this app for several years and have appreciated its clear interface and ease of use. It has a nice balance of simplicity and ability to customize. It would be good to update the app to ensure consistent syncing with Apple Watch. The HealthView data components are not all showing up on the Modular watch face, for instance. The ability to press and hold a data tile to refresh is nice but better if the syncing was ongoing as it is set to. Overall, I really like this app and recommend it..Version: 3.6.2

Nice but could be so much moreIt cleanly displays health data as advertised. However, you can't use the data to create graphs, overlapping with other points of data to see correlations, or even get an average number from the week, month or year views. It only tells you the total. Why would these simple things not be included in an app designed to display data? Imagine plotting graphs to see visually how your sleep is impacted on the days you exercise -- what happens if you add caffeine? Does the time you have caffeine make a difference? You could toggle on or off what data points you want to see. I hope this app could rise to this potential..Version: 2.7

Great app to replace FitbitI don’t like the Health app, but I like my Apple Watch. This app makes it possible to see my steps and distance on my watch face and in the HealthView app. The app has a similar look to Fitbit, which I really liked, and it provides many options for configuration. I’ve checked many different apps that provide similar information and this one is my favorite. I would to have more color options for the app, in addition to the light and dark mode. That would make it even better. Thanks for providing such a great app!!.Version: 3.0.4

Awesome App / One feature requestI’ve been using this app for several years. I love it. However when I use it with a second paired watch, the data doesn’t update from the first watch. The apple activity data comes over perfectly, but your app will just show the steps and activity from the second watch. So, if it says I have 9000 steps on watch 1 and I switch to watch 2, it shows zero, but the activity app shows 9000. Thanks!.Version: 3.0

Would love to see a better widgetI love that this app has a home screen widget. It’s a great alternative to the apple health app which does not. However, I wish instead of just showing me a number for today, it would show a trend. For example, if I show my heart rate on the widget it would be nice to see my average heart rate today vs this month or something like that. If I were to show distance walked, it would be great if it showed distance today, total this week, total this month or something like that. If the app better used the space on the widget it would be 5 stars..Version: 3.0.5

Apple Watch App and iPhone App AMAZINGAfter having a Fitbit for a few years I made the switch to an Apple Watch. I absolutely HATED the health and activity tracking and was thinking of switching back. It made me crazy. This app surpasses the Fitbit app and is a MUST HAVE on your Watch and phone. The customization options for the Watch and Phone and the numerous charts and data feedback options are jaw dropping. No other app I researched is this thorough with this many customization options. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Thank you so freaking much!.Version: 2.4

Won’t let you fix incorrect dataI like this app. The only thing I wish it had was an option to fix incorrect data. I’m a diabetic and sometimes when I input my blood glucose it does not pick up one of the numbers that I pressed. I don’t realize it until after I enter it. But it won’t let me go back in and fix it. So I have to make a whole nee entry. Making the information saved and graph wrong..Version: 3.2.1

Good but has more potentialI’ll give it the benefit that most health apps these days are Grade-A garbage. The only good one was FitBit, but their actual devices have gone on the decline in quality. I love how the app is set up and the appearance of it. It’s perfect in that manner. The only problem is, it’s pretty difficult to navigate and it’s not super customizable. I have an Apple Watch and Apple Fitness is OK, but it’s set up terribly. The only pro is that it’s super customizable and easy to navigate. So now I’m constantly switching between 2 apps. Wish this one just my all-in-one app..Version: 3.0.8

Best App I've found so far...I've searched for a good app to use for my Apple Watch for a long time now and this one is by far the best I've found. I agree with one of the other reviews where it needs to have the ability to set your week beginning day since Apple starts on Monday. Also, I would like the option to see actual figures on the graphs instead of having to slide your finger along the graph to see the figures. I post a lot of screenshots on Instagram and to see a comparison with the figures would be great! Still best app so far....Version: 2.4

The Fitbit AnswerThis app is so much better to use than the clunky Apple Health app. What a mess that thing is! If you came from a Fitbit device to Apple Watch, HealthView allows you to customize the info you want to see on your watch, with a nice and clean dashboard on your phone. And it just continues to get better. Now, if there was a companion iPad dashboard app (bigger screen for aging eyes) we could really get a deep dive into our health metrics. Keep up the great work!.Version: 2.9.5

Could use some updatesNot a bad app and a good replacement for the Fitbit app. However after using it today, I realized that you are not able to edit your calories eaten or protein submitted the the system after you click “add”. In my case, I accidentally added 98 grams of protein instead of 9 and did not realize my error until I saw the data. There is no way to edit this error which has skewed my whole days worth of data.Version: 3.4.3

Everything I needWithout this app I wouldn’t have the patience to track my data on the health app. This app gives me all the data I need in one place and it looks great! I also like that on this app I can see my calorie deficit. I didn’t think they had that feature and reached out to customer care. They responded that day and showed me how to set it up. There’s nothing else I could ask for from this app..Version: 3.0.8

Family uses itLived with fitbit in beginning so was used to info quickly and I had a hard time with apple version of health info layout. Purchases this years ago. Now many members of family also use it. I like it, just wish it would stop asking me to buy bundles. I feel asking once in a while is enough..Version: 3.6.0

AwesomeI really like the way this app displays my fitness data. The weekly and monthly views in the app are great and the Apple Watch complication is a great way to see my steps on the watch face. I could not restore my purchase after I updated to iOS 12 and updated the app, but within a few hours a new update was released and it works again. Very happy with the app and the developer for the quick fix!.Version: 2.8.1

Amazing app! Simple yet sooo customizable. This app has a perfectly simple look and feel, yet I’m able to customize every single thing I might have the slightest wish for. I can even customize exactly what and how things show up in my Watch complications. Very very happy with this app and happy to pay the small price for premium. Thank you so much!.Version: 2.9.9

Disappointed after 3.1 updateI’ve used this app for several years now. It has a clean easy to read layout and gave me several options to track what I wanted. Now after the update to 3.1 I’ve lost many features to subscription only. Now the only things I can still track is steps, distance and burned calories. I really liked using this with my Apple watch but will miss a lot of things that are fee based options..Version: 3.1.0

Great info to see all in one place.Thank you for pointing out that dark mode can be turned on in the apps settings. I am used to apps defaulting to the setting that you have chosen for your display settings. It would be nice if you made the items stand out more with larger and more contrasting fonts. Also thank you for responding to my review. It shows that you value your user’s feedback. We are all working to try to improve your app..Version: 2.9.3

Love this health dashboard!Love this app provides a (limited) customizable dashboard for my health stats. One thing I’ve noticed it that my sleep stats are off then what my apple health sleep says. Where is it getting this sleep data? Overall, like it so much! A little worried about paying $50 a year for it. We will see if I keep the subscription..Version: 3.6.3

CriminalsThese guys are criminals. I bought a full access pass years ago for this app. Now they took away my data and are trying to charge a yearly fee. I’m deleting this app right now. Update - they’ve restored my access based on my original access. I’m happy because I really do love this app and use it all the time!.Version: 3.1.0

Not displaying dataI downloaded the app and started my 14 day feee trial... I’m on day 2 and I’m disappointed. I really was looking forward to all the data I’ve missed since upgrading from my Fitbit to an Apple Watch but my steps aren’t even updating... for 2 days it shows 00 when I go into the app. Another thing is it doesn’t allow you to go in and delete/update hydration intake. I have 12 days left but knowing me, if o can’t figure out how to get the steps update working, I will be deleting the app..Version: 2.9.3

Removed functionalityUsed this app for quite a while now. Presents health data nicely. Recent update locked out majority of categories behind subscription service rendering the app all but useless unless you sign up. I’m not against paying for apps or features but how they took features away and started charging instead of offering new and/or expanded features for a premium is garbage..Version: 3.1.1

Paramétrer une semaineCe serait fantastique si on pouvait choisir le jour de début d’une semaine le dimanche OU le lundi. Je ne m’intéresse pas aux 7 derniers jours mais à la semaine courante Merci.Version: 2.7

A money grabI’ve been using this app for a few years. Loved it. With today’s update, I will be deleting it. In order to access most of the functionality you have to pay $35.99 a year. It is discounted to $11.99 the first year. Honestly, this subscription thing is getting out of hand. I could understand $3-$4 per year. Just another money grab! Pure greed..Version: 3.1.0

Love it but..Love this app. But. Latest update has me having to allow access to health every time I open the app or change screens or settings. Not sure what’s up. Numbers then don’t update on Watch..Version: 3.0.3

Could be betterI absolutely hate the ad that pops up to get the bundle after you have already paid for the Premium for the year. Then they try to trick you into the bundle with a monthly subscription. Every time you open the app is a bit ridiculous..Version: 3.4.4

Not enough in free versionFree version is more like a demo. I would purchase it for the one time fee but there's only one price option (yearly) in the app. Would love to be able to preview what the full app can show with all the locked features..Version: 3.4.3

Almost PerfectMostly lover the app. Would be 4.5 stars but I rounded up. Issues: - body fat % doesn’t graph well. Seems to expect daily weigh ins - month view should be 4 weeks not the calendar month. Currently shows 3 days which is useless..Version: 3.1.1

App that I depend on.After the March 22/21 update the app no longer worked on my 5S. I was contacted by the developer and the problem was quickly and effectively rectified. I respect and appreciate the developers dedication to quality and product support. Thank you for your app and help..Version: 3.0.8

Apps don’t openSince the last update, when I open the app it closes without reason. I have IOS 12.3.1 on my phone..Version: 3.0.7

Design MattersIt’s a functional app and gives you what you need (considering that it’s simply pulling health information from the Apple ecosystem), but it’s just so blatantly ugly to look at. From the app icon itself down to the fonts and the colours, it’s just a garish eyesore. However, it seems to be the best of the lot for time being; sadly, the holy grail of health information dashboards remains elusive..Version: 3.0.5

Amazing app!I wasn’t a fan of the default Apple fitness app. But this one works the way I want it to, for my watch and phone. Works great, and support is fast if needed. But so far it’s been working perfect for me!.Version: 3.0.4

Great App, buts some stats not updating on Apple WatchVery Good app, with subscription, equivalent to Fitbit dashboard, but some stats (steps, calories...) are freezing or set to 0 on the Apple Watch. I have purchased the app mainly for the complication features. This is a significant bug for a non free application. Fix is needed urgently..Version: 3.0.2

One more thing missing to be perfectGreat app that reminds me of the Fitbit layout. Easy overview. It would be really perfect if it could track calorie deficit (total calories - calorie intake) No other app can do it at the moment, so it would be a major selling point for the app. Hope it will be implements soon..Version: 3.0.2

Amazing but annoying bugLove the complications, didn’t realize they needed setup from the app App asks for read and write for walking + running distance every time I open it.Version: 3.0.1

Great App!Coming from a Fitbit to an Apple Watch, this app does a great job with all the data it gets from your health app. It’s actually better than the Fitbit one in terms of how it displays everything. Highly recommend it..Version: 2.9.3

If you’re a former FitBit user you want this app!I been looking for something like this since I’ve had my Apple Watch, a week and a half. I wanted a layout with all the info I’m interested like how FitBit has theirs set up. Couldn’t find anything, I m using the publisher’s other app Water Minder to track my water intake and just was looking at their other apps. This is exactly what I was looking for. Let’s me customize Apple Health data the way I want to see it. What’s important to me up top, and other info below on on scroll screen. Perfect!!!.Version: 2.9.1

Great appIt’s what the Apple Watch is missing. Historical data..Version: 2.9.1

Apple watch issueGreat app but something’s wrong with the apple watch 4 app - week’s summary is often off by 20-30%. Have to press and hold to forcibly refresh data. Then it is ok but only for that instance, next time I check it’s again off and I have to repeat the refresh procedure..Version: 2.9.1

Top notchQuality app, wondering when will the new update comes out as the widget seems to be broken with latest iOS. Keep up the good work..Version: 2.7

ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENTThis is the apple watch and ios health app i've been looking for! I would recommend this to everyone who owns an apple watch, the apple watch can finally compete with fitbit after healthview. Not only is the UI very clean and easy to read ( best summary view of your health), but it allows you to read and write health data across all apps! Which means you never have to worry about all those health apps you have, this combines everything for you! The apple watch app looks stunning ( much better than the native activity app) Without Healthview I was almost switching to fitbit, but definitely not anymore! Here is my honest feedback of what needs fixing asap, id like to see them in coming updates : 1) allow the watch app to refresh quicker/more frequently which is what everyone else mentioned 2) the ability to change metrics for watch too ( hydration is stuck on USoz on the watch even though it's ml on the ios app) which has also been mentioned in other reviews and 3) the ability to reorder the apple watch data sets( you can only select and deselect on watch for now, im hoping in the future we can reorder like ios) that would be everything. Conclusion : THIS APP WILL TRANSFORM YOUR HEALTH AND MAKE APPLE WATCH FINALLY COMPETE WITH FITBIT's SOFTWARE. THANK YOU FUNNMEDIA!.Version: 2.1.1

Needs to sync to the phone for readingsPedometer is always off, as it doesn't sync to the phone in real-time. Doesn't track steps via the watch. I assume other stuff is off too..Version: 2.1.1

GreatClosest thing to a Fitbit app. Has all the features that a fitness tracker would have..Version: 1.4

Needs metric conversion!!How can this not have a setting to switch to metric numbers (kms instead of miles). Please add asap!.Version: 2.1.1
