Good 95%+ of the timeI love my drivers and the technology works almost all the time. Sometimes the ride will be late, especially during high demand times like rush-hour. Occasionally the navigation will take drivers in the way that you know is less efficient, but generally they will take advice from passengers. Overall, I highly recommend the service. if you were using the service to get to work, I recommend building in a decent buffer to make sure you’re not late. Almost all the time it picks me up in the earlier parts of the pick up and drop off window, but like I said earlier, every once in a while, it will not. Needs better notificationsThe service overall is pretty good my main issue is that there are no notifications given to me until the driver is at my stop. This has led to me missing a good few rides simply because I got distracted and didn’t check the app enough then I decide to check and it’s like already a minute away and at that point I can’t get there in time. What's not to love?The Via Link has tremendously improved my life, and it is an excellent service! Like another reviewer pointed out, it's so inexpensive it feels free. For those who complain about being late, i recommended booking a few minutes earlier than you are at present. The service is a ride-sharing service, so it needs to stop being judged like its a personal taxi or uber. there are other riders to account for, so adjust your commute schedule to compensate for that. i've had no issues doing this. “Bad reviews”The people leaving bad reviews do not know what they’re talking about. Learn to plan ahead! just like if you took the bus, even though it says it’ll be here at 3 sometimes it’s here by 3:15 because of unforeseeable reasons. I’ve asked the drivers & the craziest things happen to them that make them or late or simply because you’re getting a ride at peak traffic hours. if you need to be somewhere at 2 make sure your drop off is at 1 or 1:30 that simple. the drivers are great, some are talkative some are quiet..Texasgirl5600Version: 3.11.0

App is very useful but still needs some work.I like how easy it is to use this app and how many options it gives when booking a ride. Unfortunately the only down side is that the gps location is very slow and sometimes doesn’t give you accurate ETA. Most of the via stops don’t have overhangs so you’ll be stuck in rain or cold weather waiting for your ride. What’s to complain about? LolAny bad reviews written need to chill a little. It’s an inexpensive (almost free it’s so inexpensive) that there’s nothing to complain about. Driver was a couple minutes late? So what! Driver dropped you off a couple of feet away from destination? So! Inexpensive and you have to take a couple of steps to get where you’re going. Very helpfulJust got done with my first ride on the Via Link. It was different at first, sort of a combination of an Uber and a city bus. Works exactly like a bus with cash only fare or passes. Not very put togetherThe drivers for the most part are awesome, however the service itself leaves A LOT to be desired. Honestly miss the idea of being able to count on a bus every hr/30 minutes. First the drop off/ pickup points can be inconvenient and even unsafe, as if whoever decided on the locations of them doesn’t actually go to the place they choose which is not the brightest idea. Also the service hours are more of a suggestion because if it is within the first or last hour of service you likely are not going to be able to get a ride because of the way the system is set up. the location services do not work properly and timing is also a suggestion as if they are short a driver you can expect to be late. I just wish VIA would spend the time and money to actually make the service something that accommodates those in node of rides to and from places without it seeming like they cut corners to save money when taxes and fares pay for all of the services..Notsati.Version: 3.17.1

TerribleI dont understand how they felt adding another zone would be beneficial when they cant seem to get to pickup/drop off on time as it is . Rides are constantly 15+ minutes late without warning which is extremely counterproductive when considering the fact that youre trying to catch the bus. The algorithm is crappy and inefficient. Oftentimes making drivers go on ridiculous routes that cause more time to be wasted. As i type i am waiting on a ride that was supposed to pick up nearly 20 minutes ago and havent even received the message with a delay eta or been assigned to a driver for that matter. The drop-off time is usually way off from what it said on the app. They give you the option of booking rides hours in advance, yet the pick-up and drop off are constantly late. Will make you late almost always.This service was good when it started but now it’s just so hard to get a ride on time. I’ve even tried scheduling like 15-20 minutes early and still they show up like 20-30 mins often, not always but often. If they were just 5-10 mins late that’s ok but it’s just too much. Not enough drivers or they need to bring Atleast 1 or 2 buses back here to reduce the late times. I was able to depend on the bus atleast 90% of the time. Actually pretty badDuring the summer this app was extremely useable but now that semester is in full swing these little VIA people (not the drivers) are trying to hire new drivers while preparing for the influx of passengers, this makes for a really had time and late rides not to mention a lot of the stop locations are extremely stupid on the side of the road. HorribleI wish they would at least reinstate one bus. I’ve missed several classes and interviews because the links sometimes pass every 15 min or are sometimes only are available every hour. It doesn’t have a set time like the bus system does and it’s impossible to know what time they will decide to do. It’s based on luck and if you can catch one before someone else does you don’t have to wait an hour to leave wherever your at. I hate this service and wish they wouldn’t have removed the buses. Early & Late drivers, inconvenient!Even if you schedule a ride, drivers will show up whenever they want. They can show up early and say that you are a “no show” if you’re not there. They can even show up late, but you’re not given any updates until a driver accepts your ride. So you’re basically sitting in the dark, not knowing whether or not you’re gonna get picked up.
