DisappointedI’ve been using Weverse since its release as it’s a great communication app for fans and artists. However, recently, Weverse has introduced new community guidelines which include unnecessary censorship.
Over the years, nothing has been done to increase the quality of the app as fan portals have been repeatedly spammed with irrelevant posts. Hate accounts have been constant on the app as well. It should not be the fans’ job to constantly report these hate posts.
Moreover, the comment section on Weverse LIVEs is extremely toxic and unmoderated. Artists should not have to report their own hate comments. I will no longer be using Weverse nor purchase merchandise from Weverse Shop..Sonja98Version: 2.17.3
Censorship towards palestinian & pro palestinian fansThis app allows sketchy bots spamming telegram group chats trying to lure young fans, and does nothing about it, but allows the censorship of fans who are speaking out in support of Palestine. Weverse limited the comments & deleted the letters fans wrote, as well as locked the accounts of fans wrote to their idols like BTS, asking them to speak up for Palestine. Weird amnt of censorship??I’ve been a user of weverse since it’s launch and it’s always been lax in letting fans in that only spam things like “telegram” links (wtv that is) trying to get others to join and it’s been really annoying. however recently weverse rolled out a statement saying “prejudice against political ideologies, and religion…will not be tolerated” which sounds fine on paper but the target of reports are literally p4lestinian fans and people supporting them …? but they don’t get rid of the literal spam plaguing the community ?

Silencing FansThe app and company promotes a safe space for fans and idols alike. however, not only have they done nothing to reduce the amount of hate comments for idols, weverse has constantly silenced fans they do not agree with. they say they aren’t discriminating but only certain posts and accounts are being deleted which shows it targets a specific ideology rather than promoting the overall safe aspect. it is very disappointing to see the company constantly side with the oppressor and offer them a place where they can spread those ideologies. how dare you claim to create a safe space if you constantly silence the oppressed? i wouldn’t recommend to anyone if you’re looking for a nice place. nothing is good about this app..A disappointed bts fanVersion: 2.17.3
