With Luxilux you always have a light meter in your pocket.
--- METERING ---
Luxilux will take an average reading of the image you see in the preview.
Specify the area for the meter reading even more accurately by zooming in or out.
If your device has two or three back cameras, you can switch between them.
You can also tap on points of interest to expose correctly for them.
--- MODES ---
Use Luxilux in aperture priority mode (Av) by choosing the ISO and aperture, and Luxilux will calculate the right shutter speed to get a proper exposure.
Use it in shutter priority mode (Tv) by choosing the ISO and the shutter speed, and Luxilux will calculate the right aperture to get a proper exposure.
Manual mode (M) lets you change all values and shows you how much they differ from the calculated optimal exposure.
--- SAVE EXPOSURES ---
Tap "Save" and the currently selected settings are saved alongside a preview image into your photo library.
If you give location permission you can also save where the measurement was taken.
You can view your saved photos in Luxilux or in the Photos app.
--- PROFILES ---
You can choose between full stops, half stops or third stops for ISO, aperture and shutter speed.
Specify the minimum and maximum values that your combination of camera, lens and film supports.
Save these settings in profiles so you can quickly recall them.

A Delightful Light Meter AppThe Luxilux Light Meter app truly is a masterpiece of an app. It, quite elegantly, displays all the necessary information that one would need in properly adjusting their Camera for the perfect shot. Unlike other light meter apps on the App Store, this app doesn’t have any gimmicky, unnecessary visuals that don’t enhance or add to the user’s experience, but rather tasteful choices in displaying certain information, such as the aperture, or the shutter speed, where these informations are neatly and uniformly displayed to the user. Additionally, the developer has a fantastic no data collected privacy policy, which adds to the value of this reasonably priced app. Overall, a fantastic light meter app that makes setting up your camera a delightful breeze..Version: 1.11
Great communication from app developer!I had an issue with my iPhone enlarging the text too much on the app and the developer responded 5 minutes later with a fix! I’m blown away by such great service. The app is perfect for the mid level photographer to test out how close they can get to guessing proper exposure without an expensive light meter. Great Light Meter!This is a great light meter for my film/analog camera! It seems very accurate, and I like the UI. Note: it does not take pictures, but that is as intended as this is just a meter for getting the correct exposure for your film camera. I would love the capability to save certain lenses and their specific apertures in a future update, but the app works exactly as intended..Version: 1.11
So amazingly coolI had my grandpa’s old camera and light meter for years, and having something like this really brings back the feel of artistry and craft to taking a photograph. Forget pre-calibrated photos and everything happening in the background. Manual and analog are the only ways to go if you want to be a craftsman/craftswoman..Version: 1.11
Handy light meter for film photographersThis app is a handy light meter for film photographers. It uses the camera to help you calculate the exposure triangle of a scene. You can lock aperture or shutter speed, or go full manual. If I were to offer a suggestion, it would be useful to show a histogram of the image to help judge highlights.
