Amazing support straight from the developerOther have described what an amazing app this is and how useful it is to photographers. That’s true. I use it when I travel and am taking photos to help me keep track of the different types of light in the day. I find this especially useful with landscapes, when I find a really pretty spot and want to know when to come back for that great golden hour light. But that’s not why I’m writing this review. I run or walk every day and use the Lumy complication on my Apple Watch so I always know when sunrise or sunset is. That lets me get up at the right time or get home from work in time. When I updated to WatchOS 10, everything changed, and I emailed the developer to ask what had happened. He was incredibly responsive, released a minor update to address my problem, then talked me through the settings to get it just right. How often to you get that kind of support these days? Worth the money.Everyday I work a late shift for work and happen to miss the sunset and golden hours because of my schedule. Now that I have this app I am able to know when it’s sundown and golden hours and take breaks accordingly so I can see the last light each day with the notifications feature in this app. Thank you for making this app. I like that there is an Apple Watch app version too which gives me notifications on my wrist. I also use the watch face on my Apple Watch and I have this app as a widgets on my phone next to my weather widgets. I love this app truly. I would like to know more about moon phases in this app or even have notifications about the moon phases each day. That would be a feature I would like to see. Glad this app is only a one time fee. Simplicity + Elegance = BestI’ve been using Lumy for nearly 5 years and it is by far the best sun tracking app available. It has come a long way since its inception, now offering various tools like the sun arc, showing its position in the sky relative to time, the sun compass showing its position relative to the phone holder, new time details like daytime and nighttime durations as well as widgets for your Home Screen. This of course on top of all the old features that have been polished to fit the new UI and general design. This app is super simple and ultra customizable. Once you set your location, you can then select which light periods you want to see and even what your app icon looks like! There is also integration for Apple Watch 4 and newer. I have an Apple Watch 3 so I don’t get to take advantage of this yet but hopefully soon. There are various Watch Faces/Complications you can add to your Watch via the Lumy App! I look forward to the future of Lumy. It is an invaluable tool for photographers, whether I’m shooting a portrait session or going out for another attempt at the Milky Way, Lumy has been there for me! Clean and Polished for iOS16This app is exactly what I needed. I travel frequently and need a quick way to check the sunrise, golden hour, and sunset times. This app lists everything out in a simple way without any clutter. It lets you customize the information you want to see too! Now with iOS16, the lock screen widget is an absolutely incredible addition. Now I can see a countdown at a glance straight from the lock screen! It is beautifully (not lazily) done too and actually looks nice. I have one suggestion/request! I wish the countdown widget had the option of counting down to multiple events. For example, have it count down to golden hour, then once that time has passed, have it count down to the sunset, then last light, etc. If this were a customizable feature it would be amazing. Perfect.Randomly, I was thinking to myself several weeks ago about having a nice app that looked pretty to check sunset (and nautical and astronomical sunset) for my observational astronomy. Literally not one full day later, I watched Apple’s keynote for the new iPad Air and Apple Watch. This app was featured as an app that was rebuilt for iOS 14, and I thought it was exactly what I was looking for! To be fair, the price is a tad higher than I think necessary for the functionality of the app. It would be cool to see more information rich widgets as well as better weather data and more visuals in the app. Just as an FYI, I bought the calculator app you made as well, I love your design language and I’ll buy any app you release, even if I don’t have a function for it. Lovely app, complications are hit and missThis app is lovely when it works. It truly is. But the experience on Apple watch is hit or miss as far as the complications go. The large complication you can have in the ‘Middle’, doesn’t always show information. Sometimes it will show cloud cover and rain chance percent, and it’s great when it does. Then sometimes, those date points (cloud cover and rain chance) will randomly disappear. For the Siri watch face, you can select Lumy as a data source, but it never appears. However as Apple hasn’t touched the Siri watch face in some time, I don’t use it anymore so that’s not a big deal. But; even so, I’ll never not have Lumy as my main Middle watch complication. It’s just so lovely to look at, honestly. The developer is also very responsive and proactive about fixing issues and I don’t doubt eventually the complication bugs will be worked out..VtboyarcVersion: 4.6.8

Nice App, Change Complication Color?This is a great companion app for photography and weather alike. I got it for the nice Apple Watch complication, and love it in full color. However, I often like to make my watch face a single color, and it turns the complication rectangle light gray which makes the color text hard to read and looks terribly bright against the black background. Can you please update it so no matter what color we select, the complication will have a black background behind the colored text? The complication also has enough space under the current text to include temperature and condition icon, which would help save space so I don’t need to have another complication taken up by current temperature. Love this game-changing app!!!I love this app! It’s a total game-changer. Using the app for complications just makes apple watch faces more useful to me. It’s so nice to know solar events and when they will occur, especially golden hour. Super pleasing to know day length and sunrise/sunset. Great App!This app is great! I have been using it now for almost a year maybe a little less than but it’s always been accurate. I use this app for work to know when sunrise and sunset are in different towns etc. legally we can travel 30 minutes before sunrise and 30 minutes after sunset in Fl with oversize load transports. Other states are completely different when it comes to that info and have saved us on many occasions. Great, but terrible watchOS supportI bought Lumy as a great way to monitor sun activity and hopefully have better timing with sunsets. While the iOS end of the spectrum is alright, the watchOS support is utterly terrible. The complications tend to glitch and show odd squares. This is most notable with the X-Large face and a background color enabled. And sometimes the widgets that show seconds till an event don’t update, being stuck on the last displayed second count. Lastly, as well as the naming of the widget names on watchOS. The dynamic island glow is a nice touch, except I feel a nicer touch would be an option to have it do a glow all times of day- I have yet to see an app do a gimmick with the dynamic island since getting my 14 model a few days ago..FairytaleForestVersion: 4.7.3

Doesn’t work right on Apple Watch UltraSo I tried to put this app as a complication on the modular face and it doesn’t show up unless I click on the empty space where it’s supposed to be showing. It does work right on the modular ultra face though. Weird. I don’t really like all the extra stuff on the modular ultra face. But I reckon it will have to do until you fix the app to work normally on the modular face. Edit. So the developer contacted me and suggested a reboot of the watch which didn’t work. Great for CreativesAs a filmmaker and photographer, I find it invaluable to have a tool that assists in planning a day. Understanding golden hours, sunrises, and last light is crucial for capturing the ideal shot. Additionally, I appreciate the ability to track moon phases to plan my astrophotography accordingly. Changes to the UI make it more difficult to useNot sure why I need 5 different saved layouts, but I liked the old versions better. Even the new “Classic” them requires scrolling to get to what I want to see. The moon icon takes up too much space, the “time slider” is exactly where my thumb hits to do the first scroll, a third of the default screen is taken up for a single piece of info, you can’t reorder things… I just want to open the app and instantly, without scrolling or clicking around, see the day overview bar, the four text boxes I picked (golden hours and sunrise/set, and phase of the moon. Super helpful app!!!This is app was exactly what I was looking for. I have it on my Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad. In my opinion this app, is helpful for both the photographer (who needs to know what the time is golden hour or blue hour) and also great for those who just need to know how much time they have left in their day. Great for photographersI’m a photographer, and I would definitely recommend this app to any one who wants to keep tabs on atmospheric light times, it is one of my main apps for that I use for light, the others being PhotoPills and Sunservay And TPE 3D and others. But it is the best one for just a quick glance by use of a widget. And is the only one that lets me use in a watch face, were as all the other apps I use for light information don’t. Nice little appI like sun, you like the sun; I mean, guys…why shouln’t you have the latest information on our beautiful glowing ball of gas that sits a mere 92,024,000 miles away?! In LOVE WITH THE LUMY APPOkay, I just purchased this app today after watching a YouTuber, Zollotech, explain his awesome watch face and what it was compelled me to jump on the AppStore and buy it. Love the App, but having an issueI have a new iPhone 15 with iOS 17. Upgraded my Ultra to watch iOS 10. I have re-installed Lumy. There is no watch face for Lumy. A major reason I bought the app cause I liked the watch face so much. Can u help with this? Update: I figured it out and built a watchface. Just use a watch face that can accommodate Lumy widget! Great app, mediocre functionality for the watch complicationsThe app is great for the most part but the weather is not accurate to the Apple weather app. The complications on the watch seem a bit buggy too. For instance in the section to personalize the sun complication, if you add temperature it’s off by about 10 degrees and doesn’t consistently show even after saving it. Great but one problem.I really love these complications, they transform the functionality of my watch. Bug report: The red dots on the complications for sunrise and sunset are on the wrong sides I.e. 88° dot is on the west side and the 272° dot is on the east side. This should be reversed. Almost perfect...I love this app, and I got it mostly for the watch app. This is why I only gave it 3 stars, the watch app does not update my location like the phone app does. It doesn’t make any sense, I changed my location in the phone and the watch just doesn’t follow. This has essentially rendered the watch useless in my travels. Wayfarer watch face complications stopped workingLove the app but the watch complications stopped working – blank bars where the info (sun times and moon times) should be. Complication update frequencyThe complications on apple watch don't update that frequently. If sunset is at 7.30pm, the solar time complication keeps showing 7.30pm well past it instead of moving onto the next upcoming solar time. Same with moon altitude and moon times. Overall, great.App is simple, intuitive and clean. Only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because there is a bug where the app doesn’t update the timeframe on my watch. DisappointedI don’t ever write App Store reviews but felt inclined to for this one. I bought into the hype for this app. It is an expensive app for what it is and super buggy. First off the temperature and wind speed are significantly off in comparison to the stock weather app on iPhone. For example looking at my watch as I’m writing this review it’s 77 outside on stock weather app on my iPhone and my watch from Lumy says it’s 83 outside. 6 degrees is pretty significant and definitely falls under being inaccurate. And yes I have it set to my exact location and no it’s not set to “feels like” temperature. Also I have other third party weather apps that are way more in line with the stock weather app. The sunrise/sunset complication is super buggy, the already frustrating inaccurate small info about wind and temperature sometimes just decide to disappear completely for a while and just decide to pop back on then disappear again. Yes I have rebooted my watch and my phone and the issue still happens. Just earlier this morning since I get up before sunrise the complication gave me the info of “sunrise in x amount of time” then the sunrise took place and instead of switching to “sunset in x amount of time” it decided to start counting up on the time saying sunrise in a timer that was counting up instead of down even though the sunrise already took place. This app is super buggy and overpriced for what it is and how it performs in my opinion. It is a nice looking complication on the watch but simply looks isn’t enough for me to use this inaccurate buggy app. I’m super disappointed..Jeff B421Version: 2025.2.8

I got this appI got this app and apparently you guys are having problems trying to get my money from my card and my card works perfectly fine so I don’t know what the issue is with your site trying to withdraw the money from my card when on my phone it doesn’t say it needs to be purchased it says open or anything I really like this app and I want it taken care of so I don’t have to worry about it right now I’m only going to give you two stars and tell you fix the issue then I’ll give you five stars after you fix it but right now you only get to because of the issue with payment when I know there’s not anything wrong with my card you need to fix this issue or call Apple support.Cowboys3409Version: 4.6.8

WASTE OF MONEY!!!! plenty of apps for free do this ….I have 2 free apps that do EXACTLY the same thing… I can add them as widgets to my screens, use as apps, they literally have exactly the same information as this app…. but I wanted this app specifically because it had its own apple watch background and i’m to lazy to customize my own….guess what?! it isn’t even compatible with my watch and cannot even be used on my apple watch AT ALL, but the 2 free apps (with the exact same information as this app) work perfectly and completely fine on my apple watch FOR FREE !!!!!!! I am 100% deleting this app, never using it again, and issuing a refund from my bank. Such a rip off..NothinngVersion: 4.6.8
