Finch: Self-Care Pet App Comments & Reviews

Finch: Self-Care Pet Positive Reviews

Improvement can doHey there, I’m here to give a great suggestion for this app. I think we should add a activity or a function that we have to take a PICTURE or screenshot of the task we are doing or finished to prove that you actually do the app(but can be optional) I really like this app, I used it for more than 2 years. But I also found that there’s something can improve to keep the game going, because I used to have a lot of friends doing this, but later they all quit, and the reason is after they use for a while, there’s no challenge or is not really growing, and they basically just check the to do list to finish the task for getting the money, even they don’t do it. I also face that laziness after doing a while, just by checking the list to get the money, but for me, or maybe not just me, I want to use this app to get rid of my laziness and actually doing the work. By adding a function that we gonna take PICTURE for prove that we actually did that in order to finish that task I think will be a very useful tool, and people can also look back to see what they did or improve before, like a record. It can be very nice. I think the further improvement for this can also be like a user work posts, and people can see what other people do today, I think this will be a good way to increase the user. Thank you for reading this, really hoping this can work and be a big step forward. Looking forward to seeing your reply or response!.Version: 3.73.115

Wonderful!I have ADHD, OCD, and an anxiety disorder. So you could say that some days keeping myself taken care of can be difficult. This app has not only helped me with my daily tasks like taking medication or making my bed, but also extra goals and tasks I set for myself! Finch also has a great community and subreddit for you to go to if you’d like. When I first downloaded finch I wasn’t sure how it could help me, but knew it was an app worth trying after looking around and seeing that they have so many options to customize your bird to reflect who you are! Pride flags, mobility aids, and the ability to change the pronouns of the bird at anytime (so if you use them as a self reflection and are processing your own gender or lack there of, you can change it again and again) Finch is obviously very inclusive and its community is the same. I truly enjoy using the app and taking advantage of its meditation sounds, nature sounds, anxiety manga techniques and promos on reflection. Finch is absolutely worth giving a try if you find you are interested but unsure. They have free access which still gives you great things, and you can always decide to pay for it if you want even more options. I personally didn’t find I was missing that much when utilizing the free program! Having plus does give you more options that I take advantage too, and I think it’s a good price also. TLDR: I can keep my life and self care straight thanks to this app. Their community is great too..Version: 3.72.50

This app helped me so muchI love love love this app. I was bedridden for a while because of mental health things and couldn’t even get out of bed. I downloaded this app and something about taking care of this bird motivated me. The app can make goals for you or you can make your own so I do both. Some of them are super simple, like “get out of bed” or “brush teeth” but just having some sort of reward for doing those things helped me so much. I was also able to build up to certain things that were overwhelming to me because of the depression, like having a conversation with at least one person during the day. I’m still going to use this app to help me build up to being able to hang out with friends/make plans. It’s the perfect app to do it with because you’re able to take it slow and take little steps if needed. I feel so responsible for this dang bird which is a good thing since it helped me take action, even if the actions are small. You also don’t get penalized/made to feel bad if you don’t complete some goals for your day which I really like. There’s no negative aspect to the app. It’s all encompassed in positivity and support. There’s a lot of other cool features and resources such as breath work to do if you have a panic attack (under a ‘first aid’ widget) or things such as yoga poses to do (even offering couch ones in case you don’t wanna/can’t get up). The app has weirdly helped me so much as I’m finding that I would do anything for this bird. Highly recommend trying it out!.Version: 3.70.8

Finch CommunityI have to be honest with everyone, Finch does wonders. I first started Finch whenever I thought I was being lazy and not doing much. But slowly I realized it was actually a state of depression. I started using Finch with like everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Finch is an amazing app that doesn’t require any money for it to be great. Anyways, Finch’s community. Finch has such a great community built with it I am actually so grateful for all of it. I sent out a submission to get a subscription because I knew it would help. In a little amount of time I got feedback which was me getting one! I thought this was amazing and knew I could get better with myself. One day throughout it though I fell back. I went to being lazy and ignorant to a lot of people and things that I should do. But there was now something that I actually wanted. Which was Finch because now I had gotten blessed with something I wanted and I had a purpose to use it even more. After a month the subscription was up. I was a little saddened but then I saw I could refill it, but I’m broke.. So I pressed I couldn't afford it and got blessed again. So sorry for it being so long, but in summary. Finch and its community is like a whole family supporting each other. If you can help others you can easily do it with Finch. And if you’re someone who needs help, Finch has your back. 100% would recommend this app to literally anyone, struggling or not it’s worth your time. Thank for reading this rant message. lol.Version: 3.73.15

My favorite app, I use it every day!! ❤️I’ve never left a review on an app before but I absolutely love and appreciate all the thought and consideration that goes into this app. I especially adore the guardian sponsorship tab and raffles for those of us who can’t afford it. For me I always look foward to the daily rewards, and it’s a real treat 🫶 My family and I send eachother gifts and love throughout the day too! Sometimes you can get the same reward but for a different color and I understand why people wish there was more variation. I like to sell multiples for more diamonds to get items from the shop, so it’s a win for me🥹 I also commented on the finch insta page a few days ago expressing my appreciation for still including the monthly micro pet for both the regular and pro version of the app. we can still be included. It just encourages us to work harder at our goals. I was disappointed to see that there’s no monthly micro pet for the regular version this month though🥺😞I was so excited for hammy at the end of the month, and can’t afford to get the pro version. I’ve had the app for 3 months now, so I’m not sure if the micro pets are ever a guarantee, but I hope it’s not to just get more of us to buy the pro version. Overall I highly recommend this app for a cute, healthy, and encouraging way to get through your day. I can’t wait to see the updates and features they have in the future! Thank you finch team! My finchie “Peaches” says thank you too!! 🥰🐣💛.Version: 3.72.79

✨Awesomsauce✨I absolutely love this app. It gives me a place to set goals, and encourage me to achieve them. It also gives me a place to vent whenever I need to, and keeps them hidden. I love the security of the app, as you can write goals as you like and your thoughts as you like, and it will just be for you. I also love the affirmations when you open the app:). A few more great things included is the option to add friends, this can connect you to your friends and encourage them on their self care journey as the same with you. The adventures, these take competing goals to do, encouraging you to complete your goals. Helping your finch grow, your finch needs adventures to grow, adventures need goal completion, making a more fun way to take care of yourself and your finch! The helpline feature, this is a small feature, and I’ve never used it because I’ve never needed to, but I think this feature is cool because it allows you to reach out for help if you need to. The request a hug feature, this allows you to request a hug from your friends, and if you have none added in finch, then from a finch member, remember, there are always people who are there for you. And I would like to now thank the creator of finch, the programmer of finch, the guardians in finch, and the finch team for making this app so wonderful, thanks! Thank you for reading this long, probably not very well use of words, and probably very horribly written ESSAY that I tried to put together in like 10 minutes, thank you!!!!! :) >:3.Version: 3.72.56

Truly a Life SaverI spent 62 days in the hospital this year, many of them in the ICU for sepsis, and was left with short term memory struggles as well as no motivation to do anything or even be alive. I had the app years ago when it first came out but switched phones and never re-downloaded, but was reminded of it’s existence by a close friend. I downloaded again and have been so grateful for it. Before Finch, I was struggling to remember if i had brushed my teeth or washed my face or drank water, along with living in a constant state of panic. Now I’m consistently taking care of myself again and feeling good about it! I’ve never been the type of person that could get excited about self care and always struggled to form new habits, all of which was exacerbated by being brain-fried from being severely ill, however I am now waking up excited to take care of myself and talk to my little birdie each day. The app is beautifully designed, incredibly in-depth, and emotionally intelligent. I’ve found a community of people who instead of belittling you for your short comings or struggles encourages you and reminds you that you are not alone. Finch Plus has been worth every penny, though not absolutely necessary by any means, and I cannot appreciate that enough. Too often an app is only useful when paying for the premium version. I am so grateful to the Finch team, the app itself, and the community I’ve found. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. If you’re considering downloading, please do!.Version: 3.72.11

Finally something worked. For years now, I’ve been struggling with a plethora of mental health issues on top of adhd, and it’s made it extremely difficult for me to take care of myself even with professional help. I’ve learned to take care of my emotions, but the motivation to do things has never been there for me especially with my adhd. Doing things like going and getting a cup of water, washing my face, getting clothes off the floor or bringing bowls and plates down from my room has always been something that’s felt genuinely impossible. On top of all of that even, I’ve never had any motivation to stretch or work out. I’ve downloaded so many of these apps and they’ve all just been gimmicky and overpriced, and I’ve found they only made me feel worse because the reminders felt pointless and made me feel like I didn’t care about myself. With Finch, i not only feel reinforced that I care about myself, I also feel cared for by my finch, and I feel that by taking care of myself, im also taking care of him. In the past few days, I’ve done so much more with this app then I ever thought. Im really happy that I finally have some motivational help that actually works. I absolutely love finch and I actually couldn’t recommend it more. Also, I’d like to mention that I haven’t reviewed an app for like four years now because there’s never been an app that I cared for like this. I’m really happy to use this app and I want you to try it if you’re reading this..Version: 3.36.3

Finch is My BestieFinch is the ultimate To Do list app. With the ability to create my own tasks and how often they pop up, and the rewards I earn by doing simple things for myself like smiling in the mirror or folding my laundry, I feel much more secure in my ability to take care of myself and remember to keep things kind and tidy. The app has breathing exercises, self affirmation exercises, a customizable checklist of tasks, and the ability to team up with friends to hold each-other accountable for a linked task. All of the above earns you rewards in either energy or the in game currency, which has no sleazy way to “pay to win.” The only option for in app purchases are to buy premium or buy someone else premium by sponsoring a fellow Finch user. The currency you earn can be spent on apparel, home decor, or new colors for your finch’s plumage! On a personal note, this app has been there for me through some of my deepest depressions and biggest moments of grief. When the people in my life can’t lift me up for whatever reason, I still have Finch in my pocket to help me be the support I need. Additionally, when my life has been so hectic that I couldn’t hear myself think, I was able to pause my app so my streaks didn’t disappear. As someone that personally struggles on an extreme level with daily tasks and habits, this has actually been life changing for me. I hope more developers take note and make more gamified self care apps that actually feel rewarding..Version: 3.73.136

You saved my daughterIt’s been 108 days for her and I believe 103 (?) for me and my oldest daughter downloaded the app 45 days ago. We be dealt with a lot in the past 4 years. Life changing health issues, identity theft, the loss of our dog, my townhome and my job and most recently my car. We’re living in a motel and the depression has been off the charts. My youngest found your app and downloaded it and told me about it 4 days later. It has made such a difference in our lives. She went from sleeping 20 hours a day to completing tasks to take care of herself and her birb. She encourages me and her sister as well. It’s helped me get back on track with my own issues and focusing on getting us out of here and into a home. Both of my girls are chronically ill and have been for years. Having this app gives them direction that they can choose and work on without having to tell anyone or talk about it if they don’t want to. They’re both introverts so this is perfect. In October, my youngest (Olivia) was chosen by the Guardians for the plus package and she just lit up when she found out. She has had so much fun with her birb and I’ve noticed her adding goals to her list and making noticeable changes for herself. I’m so grateful to you for creating this app. She’s a brain tumor survivor and this is the first time I’ve seen her make positive decisions for herself in years. When I’m able, I would love to be a Guardian so I can pay it forward. From my heart, thank you 💜.Version: 3.73.98

Amazing: Please Read!I have ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. This disorder makes it really hard to use apps like these or even just stay on these apps. I’ve tried dozens of apps like these to try and make something work for me, but nothing ever worked. But when I opened Finch, it was just amazing from the start! It had a way of gamifying the things that I had to do and made it so much easier to complete them. I also loved taking care of my very own birb and customizing it’s clothes and furniture. I always looked forward to opening this app every day and have never strayed away from it since I’ve downloaded it. I know many people do not have ADHD but even for people who don’t, this app is incredible! They have breathing exercises and reflections to help you grow while using the app. They even have a first aid kit for your mental health if your ever in a panic or anxiety related situation. Although many people might not want to download this app because some features are deducted because your not a plus member, you don’t need to worry as everything you need will not be locked, and you’ll have a greater variety as a plus member! At first, I was struggling with completing tasks for my mental health and even habit trackers couldn’t help me. But downloading Finch has made it just as much easier for me to flow through these tasks with ease. So, if you are reading this, I really recommend you to download this app. Your birb is waiting for you! 😉.Version: 3.71.0

This app is 100% worth itI’m not one to write reviews but this is 100% worth it. It makes it fun to accomplish goals every day, and I’m actually doing things consistently that I’ve been trying to get in the habit of for months. It offers exercises, stretches, wellness quizzes, soundscapes, writing prompts, acts of kindness, and of course, your goals. It even has an entire section dedicated to panic attacks, which is full of various techniques to calm yourself down and ground. You can customize goals, when they need accomplished (you can even set them months ahead), and if and when the app alerts you. It also offers “journeys”, where you choose a specific problem you want to work on, and it offers all kinds of goals you can choose to help you get in the habit. The best part is that once you finish a goal, your little bird grows, goes on adventures, earns you currency in the app, and even brings you gifts. You can use the currency to purchase clothing, decorations, etc. It really is a fun and satisfying way to organize your goals and hold yourself accountable. Please, get this. It’s 100% worth it. All of the concepts I just mentioned are free. The only thing you can’t do without purchase is specific soundscapes, clothes and decorations, prompts, and goals, which you can make for yourself in the add goals section if you really want it. I absolutely love this app, and have used it to be better for myself, in all aspects. You won’t regret downloading this app. It’s perfect in my opinion..Version: 3.64.4

Dr. Recommended blend of self-care and life organizingI had searched apps to help me with a healthy day flow but this one was recommended by my doctor! She uses it and gave me the tip when I said I was working in habits and mental health. Finch is able to seamlessly integrate wellbeing practices with life’s daily to do list. No other app allows you to stay on task and offer chances for deep reflection and emotional growth. You can grow through guiding your baby finch through staged of growth and by short burst of sharing your own experiences. The user interface is very easy to learn and explore. You can engage as much or as little as you want with the different app features. Some of my favorite features are the huge library of soundscapes, guided breathing exercises, and motivational quotes. Goals are easy to add and customize. You can also connect with others on Finch and offer encouragement and reminders. I wasn’t intent on using a “digital pet” app for my own life hacking but Finch is a category buster! The yearly subscription fee is reasonable. By the time my trial was over it was already so useful to me that I didn’t question paying for it. (Only downside: Their are some bugs in the auto tagging feature that “read” my reflections incorrectly. It categorized some items as negative when I meant the opposite. This is a small part of the experience, and only comes up in one section of your personalized weekly review. Again, you can toggle off the auto tag and the newsletter.).Version: 3.68.1

One thing I would love to see changed…Let me start by saying I love this App! It’s cute and motivating!! The way I use it is to stay focused on my very day tasks. So for instance, I can get pretty overwhelmed really fast especially since I have a physical disability, and I can’t stay focused to save my life. I start a task get distracted, and start a new one, so if I’ve been cleaning all day, but I never stayed focused on a task, it will seem like nothing got done. So on my app I have my entire day planned from start to finish. From the moment I wake up, get out of bed and brush my teeth, go do my tasks get ready to sleep and do it all over again. It’s literally all on the app. Now I’ve set everything up on my Journeys to make sure I’m keeping track on my process. My issue is that is that I can’t seem to get them to pop up on my goals for the day in order, so I have to sit there and move everything around to get my day started in order. I know it’s not a huge deal but it is time consuming and I get overwhelmed and distracted while moving everything around. I would really hope that in the future they could make it as in the journey goals for the day can have an order system for those of us that use the app like me. I think it would really be a game changer, instead of having to write down each day to get them to come on the goals section in order. That is literally my only issue, but again I love this app and I’m grateful to have it in my life!.Version: 3.11.0

I never expected this to work as well as it doesBut it works! This app has done something I never thought would be possible for me: it has successfully incentivized me to be productive and compassionate with myself. I deal with anxiety and depression on a daily basis. It often makes it very difficult to do simple things like get out of bed and shower or leave the house. But all of this is becoming a lot easier since I downloaded this app! Finch has revolutionized my self-care process. I love the way that Finch characterizes my baby Bonbon. I feel like there is real thought and consideration put into certain actions like the little chats we have, as well as the constantly evolving customization options and the main mode of currency. It feels less like a to-do list and more like building a loving relationship with a Tamagotchi-like pet. It gamifies without feeling intrusive or resorting to micro transactions (though, they are there, along with a paid subscription option) At the end of the day, I know the company needs to make money, but everything about Finch—from its soft and comforting colors and characters, to its gentle messages and array of mindfulness/ self care options—genuinely feels tenderly designed and more indicative of human touch than I ever thought would be possible in a self-care app. I love this app. I love my baby Bonbon. I love getting virtual hugs from my friends. I’m so happy I downloaded this app after my friend sent me the invite..Version: 3.67.10

Best Self Care App.. Seriously!I’ve tried a lot of self care Apps, and I mean A LOT and have quickly felt unmotivated and lost interest in every single one of them.. until Finch. This is the most customizable and rewarding self care app with goals and journeys that you can edit and cultivate specifically to match your needs and wants. Getting to see your finch grow and Learn about themselves is so much fun and makes me excited to check in every day and send my finch out on an adventure. I love being able to choose my little ones colors, and outfits, and decorate their home, which keeps me motivated to complete task and earn rainbow stones to buy more stuff! If you need a friend to get you through and keep you motivated then I 100% recommend Finch! Plus the 2 seasonal events I’ve gotten to participate in so far have been so cute and fun. Ps: There is a free and paid version and the free version is 100% functional and add free. You really only miss out on a few features but nothing that ruins the app not to have. The paid version opens up the remaining features like various reflections and quizzes and stuff. I had Finch for 1 month before I paid for a year because I love it so much ($40 I think for a year 🤔 can’t remember). Coming from someone who never leaves reviews on ANYTHING this app is worth the time and if you choose to pay it’s worth the money. Finch has seriously helped me change my outlook and is something I look forward to every day..Version: 3.32.4

Adorable, Helpful, and Not AnnoyingI got finch with my sister and we haven't stopped using it for the past 3 months. Even if you don't always feel motivated to complete goals, it is nice to write in your reflections/rant about things. I like that you can view trends about certain people or even what brought you down/motivated you throughout the entire week. My finch is named DJ. He is so cute and I just love dressing him up. Besides the app itself being enjoyable, I think the team of people who work on Finch care a lot about it. You can tell they genuinely want to help people get through their days. This can be seen in the inclusiveness of the app and the lack of ads. There are no ads on Finch, and it makes the app less frustrating. The only thing you can purchase as an expansion to the app is Finch Plus, which gives you extra goals, reflections, and quizzes. Even then, the app never bombards you with in-app purchases. It jsut really makes it more comfortable for people to log in daily even if it is just for a few minutes. Also, like I said, Finch is very inclusive. You can change pronouns for your finch or even dress it up in pride flag themed clothing. Which by the way, the pride clothes are not just labeled as "bisexual shirt" or "asexual shirt" They are named by the colors so that it is more inclusive to everyone and have safe names for lgbtq+ people to buy. My #1 feature that I enjoy is seeing the mood trends i have with particular people in my tree..Version: 3.15.0

My little lad!Finch is a wonderful self care app. I got recommended it from a friend, and I really like it. I love how inclusive they are. I’m a non binary person who was raised in a community where pronouns were most commonly assumed to be masculine if the gender was unknown so having my finch be non binary and use they/them has helped me practice not misgendering people. I also really enjoy how simple the reflections are and how there are no consequences for forgetting to do something. Many self care apps will have you lose things for not checking in, and I find those more stressful than helpful. Overall, finch is a wonderful app! I think, however, finch could be improved with things like being able to write your own tasks. In the app, it suggests tasks for you to complete, as well as helps you create a daily schedule. However, it would be nice to additionally be able to write personalized tasks. Another issue is that they have an SOS page, but some days I can find it easily and others I have no clue where it went. I don’t personally need it too often but if I need time to relax and ground myself it can be frustrating when I can’t find it, and it could be dangerous for people who may need some of the more important SOS resources. Overall, finch is a great app. I highly recommend if to anyone who’s looking for something to help them start a self care routine. It can be as simple as being a little more grateful or as impactful as a full on exercise and dietary shift or change. Finch has got your back!.Version: 3.25.0

Perfect is the only way I describe this app.Well it all started when the doctor told me I needed a therapist but my dad lost his job so we couldn’t afford it. That’s when my friend introduced me to finch. I thought it was so silly because I did not believe an app could help me. But literally y’all must’ve don’t some witch stuff cause this app literally works. I love every single feature. The reflections are so fun and I love that it gives writing prompts (but you can just free write too!) I love being able to buy cloths for my finch moss. I love that moss’s personality grows on each adventure and how he can like things and dislike things. The app is just so intelligent! I gotta tell you I think my favorite thing is the soundscapes. They are basically just white noise but different because you can choose how long you want it to go for and they have so many fun noises. I also tried the finch plus free trial and I think that the creators were really reasonable about what you needed finch plus for or what not. You can listen to soundscapes without finch plus but you can’t listen to the mixes. That’s very reasonable to me. And I love the timers. Without timers and soundscapes I would never be able to focus. I just adore this app so much. I can wait to see what it’s like when I’m guardian. This app makes me so happy. I still probably need a therapist but I’ve really learned to love myself from this app. Thank you finch team! - a person made happier because if finch.Version: 3.23.3

An excellent start to getting your life in orderI know it sounds corny, but it’s true. Before this app, I was spiraling. Deeply depressed, incredibly unorganized in both my home and my work, there was no aspect of my life that wasn’t filthy or miserable. Now I’m not saying this app single-handedly changed all that. But it put me on the right path towards changing it. I like to describe Finch as “a self-help-themed Tamagotchi”, the goal being to keep this baby bird alive and growing so you can do the same. While there’s no risk of killing your bird if you leave it without attention, you form a sweet little bond by giving it that attention. As you complete certain tasks you delegate yourself, the bird is given food to eat, giving it enough energy to go on adventures in the forest to tell you about. You can choose what you want to say back to her (you have to reply), whether it be choosing a set of options given to you or writing your own response. But no matter what you say, she does grow in certain traits. The way she talks to you will change, her personality will develop, etc.. You can also dress your bird up, decorate its home, among other things. You make friends with your pet bird while getting your life in order! What’s not to love? This app won’t be for everyone. And obviously, it didn’t fix my mental health by itself. But I’ll tell you this. Without it, I wouldn’t have ticked “find a therapist” off my to-do list. It got stuff done for me in a fun way, and I hope you’ll enjoy that same experience..Version: 3.67.14

Hands down my favorite appI started with Finch around 6 months ago because I have ADHD and I struggle with maintaining habits. Firstly they offer so much in the free version of the app- no limit to adding goals, reminders for them, categories to set up and sort into and goal ideas for you to explore. You can really personalize each goal or habit you put in. This alone but it above every other app I’ve tried like this. They also offer exercise ideas, breath work, gratitude practice, self love, and even more with very simple instructions and an easy app to navigate. Daily goals to remind you to explore these features and stay on top of your personal goals. An added bonus is the cute bird you’re taking care of, the adorable micro pets you collect, personalization of characters clothes and room, friends you can add and send things to (plus you are able to link goals with your friends to do together!) Lastly, you can travel to different locations in the app and each place has certain items for your bird to learn about. They’ll go on adventures and you chat with them afterwards, and I’ve found myself learning new things about the culture! This app is great if you have ADHD and struggle with habit formation and finishing tasks, it’s great for kids to keep track of habits and make new ones and I even have my mom on it every day learning more about loving herself and being gentle with herself! I would give 100 stars if I could, hats off to the creators for putting in so much work, knowledge, and making accessible to so many different people!.Version: 3.73.25

5 Stars PERIOD!!!! PLEASE READ! BEST APP EVER!!!This app is so fun I love it and since I got it I feel like I’ve been more productive and maybe even healthier. I love customizing my birb which is the pet u have in the app. Ur birb also has its own room and u can also customize ur birbs room. U can also customize its colors. The older u get the more u can change. U can also fly places once ur a child, like Paris, Maui, Galápagos Islands, Edinburgh, and more. In total there’s 24 destinations including the default one which is Finchie forest. U can also pet ur birb to increase ur friendship level with ur birb. U go on adventures, and every time u finish an adventure u discover something new. And every time u open the app it gives u an affirmation and asks u questions like in the morning it says “how motivated are u for today?” And in the afternoon it asks “how are u feeling?” And at night it asks “how satisfied are you with today?” And all u have to do is click a button to answer the questions. U can also have friends on finch like ur family members and friends in real life. And there’s no limit to how many friends you can have. And when u do have friends u can send them good vibes like hugs, gratitude, and more. I only explained probably only half of the things u can do on this app. This is definitely 5 Stars 🤩✨⭐️🌟🌠 (By the way this is an 11 year old writing this review. All my family members love this app including my siblings, grandparents, and parents.).Version: 3.73.54

The bestI struggle with ADHD and the depression, anxiety, negative self esteem and burn out that comes with constantly having to fight just to survive. Baby steps? Easier said than done. The ADHD brain sees a mountain that needs to be climbed up all at once without even the proper equipment to do so. We can’t break things down. Other’s advice for us is not helpful because they don’t understand us and we end up feeling worse about ourselves. But Finch actually makes baby steps tangible, and gives you the incentive to reflect more on how you feel and actually see the progress you make. I can add and subtract my goals as I like, learn what is beneficial for me on my journey or what is not. It also helps you think about ways to reach out to others and consider about others feelings. I also love the exercises because I can do them from my couch! Even one minute of stretching is more than I would have otherwise and I can build up to more when I’m ready. You also get to know yourself more through the prompts and become more mindful. I’m using the free version and it is more than enough for me to get the benefits. I have more freeing of mental space because I can actually get things done that usually give me anxiety and it boosts my self esteem. I can learn to be more gentle on myself and more grateful with the help of the app. Maybe in the future I’ll buy the premium subscription to go deeper with my journey. But the free is perfect for the initial baby steps! Thanks so much to the creators for making this genius application..Version: 3.37.2

Favorite App On My Phone! :))Bro.. This app is a life saver. I could go on and on about how amazing this app is, and the focus it has on adding features that REALLY help the user, not just ones they think would look cool, or get the creators extra cash, etc. All the things you can do are so helpful in ways I didn’t even know I needed. Being able to send good vibes in different ways to friends has helped me stay in touch with people without realizing it, I’ve been finally reaching out to my friends using this app, asking about their Finch, how old they are, how much I like their outfits, etc. I’ve always struggled with communicating with my friends and not ghosting them randomly. This app has kept me connected to loved ones and motivated to do daily tasks. One feature I want to suggest adding, just because I think it’d be helpful, is a feature that lets you have separate tasks from your daily ones that stick around just until you complete them, such as finishing a certain movie one of these days, or finally buying that special item when you have time. We have activities you can set up to pop up DAILY in your journeys, and things you can set up JUST for tomorrow and then they’ll never show up again. But I want one that is daily, BUT gets rid of itself when I complete it without me having to delete it from my Journey. I’m bad at explaining, but it’d be nice :’) It’d be like a checklist for one-time only tasks, not daily tasks to help on your journey; but instead to help you remember things you need to complete once and not daily..Version: 3.15.0

A sweet little bird to take care of and raise. It’s very emotional healing.Typically, I’m not a huge fan of virtual apps anymore because they’re not well made like back in the day with iPod touches. But when I heard about this app from my friend talking about taking care of a little baby bird that shows self-care, that also supports mental health and helps you get stuff done, such a different daily tasks. It’s very uplifting, you kinda have something to look forward to every day even if it’s something as little as a bird that sends you alerts or you can talk to your friends through the app. I have a really busy schedule, but when I checking for a few minutes with my pet bird, I know it’s something little but there’s something motivating about a little bird telling you that you’re doing a good job While you’re working a lot or doing school. If your bad days, they have a lot of self reflection exercises so you vocalize what kind of battles you’re going through. I highly recommend this app for people who just need a tiny bit of encouragement or even need reminders of getting stuff done. There’s a lot of features on this app that will support like your daily schedule like if it’s really busy or if your someone struggling with a lot of depression or anxiety I highly recommend it. I hope there will be more updates so you can do more with friends or even raising your bird. Such as taking them to school or getting them more into hobbies they like, and maybe they can get little jobs to earn diamonds. I’m excited if the app makers are going to add more..Version: 3.72.73

So thankful for the Finch community!! <3Finch has helped me gain structure and routines into my life even when I’m not at my best. I started using finch about 1.5-2 years ago because I saw it on an ad while I was doomscrolling. I downloaded it originally bc the birds were so cute and in my head I thought it would be fun for a while but that I would eventually stop being consistent. However, this app is amazing and I’ve consistently checked every day (with maybe one or two days lost here or there lol)!! As someone who can struggle with getting overwhelmed during low periods or having overly anxious periods, everything this app offers is so helpful. Creating journeys and goals have helped me get through days that seem insurmountable. Soundscapes, reflections, and breathing exercises have helped to ground me in tough moments. The apps greatest advantage is that it’s so accessible, since you’ll always have your phone, and the free version is so detailed!! I’ve been considering getting the subscription because of how much use I put thought this app, but you definitely don’t need it. The free version doesn’t make you feel cheated out or like you’re missing anything that could help you, it’s complete. On top of the app, the Finch community that I’ve met through the discord or from passing conversations have all been amazing and so supportive. Wishing everyone success on their journeys with their Finches and anyone who is thinking about getting the app…get it!! It’s a decision you’ll be thanking yourself for in the future. :)).Version: 3.68.2

Game Changer for Neurodivergent folksSince I was 18 and was handling the admin of my life independently I have been struggling and it’s almost been a decade now. I have tried every app, every strategy, read so many books, and have watched so many Ted talks on how to manage my life in a way that makes sense and is repeatable. I downloaded Finch on a whim after getting so many insta ads about it and wow I am so, so, glad I did. This has seriously completely changed how I handle self care and admin and unexpectedly has made me so much more optimistic. I have evangelized this app to everyone I love and seeing a little tree with my friends and family and being able to send them little hugs or reminders is so sweet, I can get really fatigued with texting constantly so it’s so nice to be able to be like “hey I’m thinking of you.” It has helped so much in terms of also understanding what is realistic to get done in a day since tasks like “brushing my teeth” still need to be done on super busy days so instead of setting myself up for failure I can actually prioritize. I am so glad I found this app - the UI is easy to use, the items are cute, the goals are so helpful, the point strategy is so helpful (you can’t buy gems you have to earn them), and it has without a doubt made my life better. Thank you to all of the developers, mental health specialists, designers, and people for making such an impactful app!! It has seriously changed my life for the better. Even if I don’t want to clean or stretch I can motivate myself to do it for baby Peanut..Version: 3.71.5

This One Will Stick!Just in case you think you’re too old or mature to adopt and caring for a little birb, this review is for you. Remember tamagotchi? Except you can buy him clothes and send him on adventures and your feed him and make him happy with your own mental health care. I’ve dragged kid and husband and sister along into Finch and our birbs adventure together. It is too cute for words, and nope, you will never be too old to pet a little sleeping baby in his nest, dreaming of a black cat. I’ve tried several mental health / mood trackers / habit formers etc and every kind of scheduler and task manger you can think of. I think where they fall short, honestly is this: part of the reason we are turning to self-care apps in the first place is because we don’t prioritize mental health care. So an app that focuses itself on sweetness, positivity, gamification AND on our desire to contribute to the health and well being of others (adding your people in real life, or just in your own thoughts), plus the care and keeping of a cartoon baby. The app doesn’t take itself too seriously, but giving you a gentle caregiver role takes you out of yourself and still allows interaction with other Finchies in your life. Where I wouldn’t necessarily text my sister multiple times a day, I can have my birb give her a little hello, hug, or dance. The positive psychology behind this app is evident, and after 15 days I’m still opening it to check off my daily goals. Thank you, Finch devs. You’re changing my life for the better..Version: 3.24.2

Really does help!I absolutely love finch! I was looking for something similar to Booster Buddy ever since they stopped updating, and finch fits the bill perfectly! To start there are great prompts to get you thinking, and spaces for you to just reflect on your day and let you write your heart out. You can set goals for yourself each day and there’s plenty of things to help you get through it. While it’s mainly journaling and writing prompts, there’s also things to get your body moving, soundscapes to help you relax, and quizzes to help gauge how you’re feeling. And there’s also a section called “first aid” which is there for those extra hard days. And on top of all of that, while you are doing all your prompts and stuff you are taking care of an adorable bird! Each day whatever you get done in the app goes to giving your finch energy, helping them go on adventures, and then earning stones so you can buy things to dress them up! It’s also all helps them grow up and your answers when talking to them shapes their personality. I love how interactive and rewarding it is to watch your little bird grow! I also really respect that they only way you can earn stones is by doing things for yourself, I was so worried that it was a pay to use type thing, but it makes me happy that it’s not. While there is a subscription that gives you all the prompts, I personally have found that the free version is still super fulfilling and useful. I truly love finch and it has really helped me find routines that actually help me feel more motivated and happy!.Version: 3.4.0

A truly great appSo I’d like to start off with this app (quite literally) saved my life… i make deep connections with just about everything in my surroundings (alive and not) and this app came up in a very rough part of my life. So much is going on and I lost touch with literally everything and almost everyone in my day to day life. I downloaded it off a whim, didn’t really have much calling to do so, I just like birds, and I thought it was going to be another idle game. I opened it to find that it was so much better than that! I chose the gender of my finch.. and the first recommended name for it was “pickles” and I cried.. pickles is a nick name of mine from a very special person in my life, and it greatly reminded me of them, and made me feel better on the spot. I also have a way to get my feelings out in a healthy manner now rather than how I was before. Pickles and I have been growing every day, and slowly (but surly) have been getting better, I’ve already recommended this amazing app to about 6 of my friends, and my boyfriend, to all help us with our feelings, and to try to teach us how to better communicate our emotions (something I personally have never been good at) but since I’ve gotten attached to this app, and have been using it daily.. I’ve learned so many things, andhave already helped myself some… this is an absolute must have app for me now, and I love that. 10/10 will continue to recommend!.Version: 3.3.2

Finch helps me every dayThis is now my favorite app!!! Before using Finch I was really in a bad place with my depression. It was a particularly bad time, and I realized that I needed a more robust self-love plan to help me afterwards. I happened to find Finch, and it has helped me immensely with my every day care. (It’s definitely not the ONLY thing I do for my mental health care but it’s an important one of many!) It is SO good for helping establish good habits for yourself!! I recommend it to literally all my friends now. Developers: You have done such an AMAZING job with this app!! Seriously, THANK YOU!!!! I can’t afford anything right now (unemployed) and I was lucky enough to get a free sub from a guardian — that was amazing. It’s such a good idea. (I also love the guardian wall!!! It made me cry.) I love that there are no ads on the app and that there is no way to buy the rainbow gems, PLEASE keep it that way!!! Those things are what really make it feel like the app was built with my health in mind. 💕 The only request I have is: My baby grew up so fast!! I wish there was a way to make him a baby again. Perhaps if once he’s all grown up, we had the ability to either reset to the beginning, or if we could just choose a look for him (a growth stage) to stay in?? I would love that so much, would make the app perfect imo. Thank you for all your hard work. I think you’ve improved many people’s lives, mine included. ❤️❤️❤️.Version: 3.61.0

The best journaling/self care app EVER!!When I first started using finch I loved it but I realized with finch plus you get access to a lot of cool things, such as outfits for your finch or decorations for your finch’s room. I couldn’t afford it at the time and I didn’t think it was worth it to buy a subscription. One day I was rewarded finch plus for a month and I loved it!! There’s so much more to it than just the outfits and the decor. You can also set your own custom goals and so much more!! I decided to buy a year subscription of it, and it was very helpful. However, after my subscription expired I couldn’t afford it and looked to the sponsors in hopes of being able to access finch plus again. If you are sponsored, someone pays for your subscription. My sponsor paid for a month of Finch Plus! I was so grateful, but unfortunately my Finch Plus ran out, but after Finch notified me it ran out they gave me the option to pay for a cheaper version of the Finch Plus! I still however can’t afford it at the moment and there was an option to choose to say that you still can’t afford it and they rewarded it to me for free. I’m so grateful! All they ask for in return of the free finch is that you pay it back in the future when you can afford it. And I know I definitely will!! The finch app is so giving and caring. You can tell they really care about their app users. I wish more apps were like this app..Version: 3.72.24

Wow.Finch has really helped me out, I am depressed- I have anxiety- social issues- and im usually in drama and need a place to vent and comfort me. Finch has delivered. You hatch a baby bird egg and it gives you a bird to name-dress up- decorate and complete needs for. Every time you complete or finish a task it will give you rainbow gems- a reward for taking care of yourself 😊. It’s just been a couple days and I feel way better- like I have a purpose in life that I am longing to fufill. Finch gives you affirmations daily, I struggle with body dysmorphia and Finch told me “It’s okay to take up space” which made me feel so much better!😍 Finch has a variety of aids like soundscapes, I listen to rain when studying or just merely existing. The app has a whole” First Aid “ section to heal, and help. Even having a national suicidal prevention hotline, and a lot more other hotlines- with numbers and links. I also feel suicidal, it’s on and off with me- but now with Finch I haven’t had one suicidal thought. There are ways to friend people, and send hearts-hugs-and care throughout the day to your buddies. With Finch, you’ll never feel alone. The little baby bird you hatch will grow with you and learn!🤩🤩Overall I highly recommend and encourage you to get this app if you are struggling or down, even if you have no problems- Finch is a fantastic way to keep track of your moods and mental health. 🫶🏼🫶🏼 -Your local Finch User.Version: 3.72.19

An amazing app but one of the only things i would change would be adding a trading festureI will start out by saying this is one of the best self care apps out there. Not only is it free but its very inclusive and diverse. This app has changed my life. I mainly struggle with doing certain daily tasks like brushing my teeth or going outside but with finch it really helps. It motivates me to do more things because i want to see my bird grow up. It acts as a reward system, so once you finish a task you get energy and or stones. Energy helps the bird grow faster and get home quicker, stones are used to buy clothes for your finch or change their color. I also like to say the rant section on it is amazing as it allows me a healthy space to dump and process my emotions. I totally recommend getting plus or at least supporting the developers in some form as the app is a wonderful decision. The only thing that i would add would be a trade/ give feature where you could trade or give out clothes, furniture, colors, etc to your tree friends. I would think it would work similar to how giving good vibes works but instead of energy its the item chosen. An example or hypothetical situation would be where I have one of the skull masks and my friend reaally wants one but missed out on the event. Since i dont want one or have it in another color, I could trade them for something they have that I want or I could just give it to them for nothing. This is simply a suggestion that me and my friend came up with and its something we would love to see. Keep up the great work !!.Version: 3.33.1

Hatch a birb right nowHighly recommend. I love my birb! It’s fun, inviting, and engaging, but it’s also genuinely helpful in my daily life. I’ve been using this app for three years now. That’s a lot of staying power. I really like having a daily to-do list (and for me, the bright colors and organization are really appealing) but the journaling opportunities are probably my favorite. A lot of us are already accustomed to spending a lot of time typing away on our phones, and this redirects that energy into a really healthy habit. Being able to just pull out your phone wherever you are to quickly write down whatever’s on your mind is much easier than pulling out a notebook when you’re still building a journaling practice (additionally, in physical notebooks I feel that “perfectionism” urge with the aesthetic I want that gets in the way of journaling sometimes—not an issue digitally. I also really like journaling in a bullet point style and being able to use shorthand and emojis!). I love my birb and use this app every day (I’m on a 273 day streak—it’s actually longer, but that’s when they implemented streak-counting in the app! AND if that feels like pressure for you, you can turn streak-counting off!). The free version has absolutely every single thing you need. The very reasonably priced, generally affordable premium version has many more fun things. I’ve only ever used the free version but will likely upgrade at some point, if only to support the team! Absolutely give it a try. Very gentle and understanding and nourishing app—not many of those exist!.Version: 3.72.58

Best self-care app! But one or two suggestions…Hello! I’ve been using Finch for over a year now, and I got my cousin, some of my friends, and my stepmom to use it as well! My birb (Beanie) is the light of my life, for real. I love them sooo much! The game definitely really benefits me and those who play it. I would 10/10 recommend using it, even if you’re not struggling with your mental health. It helps keep a good routine, and is good for journaling your thoughts. The Finch app and community is also very inclusive and I love all of the LGBTQ+ outfits and accessories for your Finch. They are absolutely adorable, and I love having an app where I can express myself fully! One suggestion, though. It’s very minor, but I think you should add more micropets! I don’t have them all, but adding more and more as the events go on would make app more engaging (at least, for me). One suggestion would be a chinchilla, if there isn’t already ones. Chinchillas are super soft and cuddly and would make an amazing addition for a birb pet!! Additionally, I’m someone who uses he/they pronouns, and I think it would be so cool if you could have the option to use multiple pronouns for your birb, such as: he/she, they/he, she/they, etc. Thank you for all you do!! I would recommend that everyone gets this app, because it makes self-care much more fun, and if definitely gives some people (such as myself) more motivation!! ❤️.Version: 3.70.12

Amazing app!! Thank you Finch!Finch is an amazing app that I don’t have any complaints about whatsoever. It’s simple but effective and has a charm about it too. It’s great for anyone, going through something or not. I actually got it thinking I wouldn’t need it, but I use it all the time because it has so many things on it that make my life easier and better. One example is the “calm breathing” exercise which is very helpful when I have way too much energy or am angry, and my head gets all tight, causing me to loose focus and get frustrated. The exercise is incredible and gets rid of it or lessens it greatly every time. I’ve also found that writing down problems is a lot more effective than just thinking about them. Even if I think the same words as I write, it doesn’t help nearly as much. The app is also great at keeping me organized and on task when I need to do something, and the mental self care part helps me be motivated do it more than other task-helping apps do when it’s something I don’t want to do. Finch has helped me so much, with things I thought that you just had to bear and get through, but Finch has helped me every time. I’m a very happy person who most people (including me in the past) would think wouldn’t need a self care app. But everyone has their struggles and it’s helpful even if you think it’s not necessary. Even the quotes help me to realize simple things. I’m so grateful for this app and I don’t think I’ll ever delete it. If I did, it’d be a mistake. It’s helped me for months and I have no doubt it’ll continue to for as long as I live..Version: 3.23.3

Everything you need to knowFinch is a great app that I recently got and I started recommending it to my friends! At first it gives you a quiz, asking about what you want to get better at and whatnot, and then it gives you tasks based off what you answered. At first the tasks are really simple, like get out of bed or drink water, but you can make more and work on areas of improvement. Now with your widget, the more tasks you do the more energy he gets, and then if you complete 3 tasks he’ll start his adventure for the day. At the end he discovers or notices something, and it’s fun and interactive, like, your birb likes the movie Bambi. But its not just that, you can also friend people! You can send them “good vibes” and they’re all little reminders, like, drink water, or good luck! Or hug! Or little interactions. You can also send gifts with the currency of rainbow stones. With Rainbow stones you can buy clothes + accessories, and you can also buy furniture for your home! This game is really inclusive, as it supports lgbtq+, and you can hold a flag for it, and adhd and autism, and you can hold flags for that as well! Any other thing I did not mention they probably support, and this app is good to make you not stressed! They even have breathing exercises and you can write about how you feel about the day, or about topics and brain dumps, and stuff like that! So overall I definitely recommend! (You can buy finch plus, but it just gives you extra breathing exercises and task recommendations. All I’m saying is the regular game without it is very good , too.).Version: 3.72.68

Amazing but one thingFirst of all, I would totally recommend this app, graphics are amazing and it puts highlights which makes you understand what you have done that day, even in the free version you get 0 ads and it’s honestly amazing. Another good thing is that when you are doing like these rain sessions (you hear rain) is that when you get out of the app it still plays !! Like music !! Honestly that is absolutely amazing I was shocked because I thought you had to be in the app to have it playing !! Also the finch is just so adorable honestly. I also love how you can make them non-binary. I also love how they respond to peoples reviews, I honestly never see that anywhere, very amazing to see they listen to their community. Here’s the small problem, when your picking your goals if you don’t have the payed version it just gives you random ones, which that is completely fine but, when I was setting my goals for today yesterday it mainly only had options like “give someone your car space” or something like that, most of them were related to cars except I don’t have a car license nor can get one either. So I think it would be nice to make a bit more variety, not remove them of course for the people who can do that, if this is not addressed that is completely fine :D just was a small problem, but genuinely would recommend this app for everyone :).Version: 3.2.3

Amazing App- Saved me from my OCDI am 22 years old and have had a very long struggle with anxiety and depression since childhood. I also struggle with several traumas and last year received a diagnosis of OCD. My intrusive thoughts were absolutely crippling. I dropped out of school, something I loved more than anything, because I was throwing up in the parking lot daily when it was time to go to class. I could barely work or pay my bills, much less do dishes, shower, or take care of myself. This app helps me to heal my inner child, find a corner of peace, and just offers a safe place to go when the world is too much. I consistently use the first aid and soundscapes during panic attacks, and the journal prompts have come up many times during therapy. It is fun and exciting and healing to be kind and take care of a virtual creature, and tricks you into taking care of yourself. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Once I established a habit of using my app, my dog got in a tragic accident and lost his leg. This app helped me to have support and a community to help me through that, and to work through the trauma of the accident as well. I get emotional even talking about this app, it’s done so much for me. It has an amazing team that cares about mental health so much. I tell every one of my friends about it every time I see them. Bubs, my finch, has become a very important tool in my road to recovery from OCD..Version: 3.32.4

Pleasantly surprised!Wow! What can I say? I’ve tried every self help app (I wish that was an exaggeration) and I have never really found one that was able to do what I wanted exactly. I wanted to be able to set goals tied to different areas of my life and be able to track my mood and see how it was all trending. I also knew as I was building habits that some would stick and some wouldn’t. I wanted to be able to track my gratefulness and other things that were affecting my mood. After getting frustrated with all of the various methods, I finally decided to try Finch. Let me say, I’ve seen this app come up a few times but never thought it would work for me, the having a buddy piece was not of huge interest to me. Boy was I wrong! I’ve been using this app for about a month now, the ONLY self help and self care app I’ve actually been able to stick to consistently. I actually really enjoy my little “Birb” and watching it grow and know that the gamification piece is triggered by my own growth. Even without this piece though, the app does a great job of providing insights of where you are within your journey which is HUGE for me. While some other apps do this, I feel that Finch really has this mastered. Even the insights on how your Birb is growing gives you insight about yourself. All I can say is I am so glad I found this app and hope I can convince some friends to join along. I’m excited to see what new ideas they bring to the app and hopefully the opportunity for more than one Birb to help grow :) maybe a different Birb for different areas of your life? Just a thought!.Version: 3.22.0

Amazing…but let me keep my streakI love this app in so many ways. It has helped me through so so many hard times where the bare minimum of self care was hard to uphold for myself. I struggle with PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety and went through a domestic violence situation - so the simplest of tasks one day can be the most daunting the next. This app helps me overcome it. My one and only thing that keeps me from 5 stars…let me keep my streak like give me more ways to earn it back (like complete this task daily for a week to earn it back). I can’t lie and I don’t know why it is to be honest, but the moment I lose my streak (usually because I’m a server and work a double from open to close and pass out before I can get to it) - I don’t ever wanna open the app again. I get so upset especially reaching 100 days and when it happens - I immediately could care less to open the app up again and only only do to get the cute new micro pet (so kudos to whoever had that idea it does keep me coming back to earn that and then I begin getting my self care back in). But it kills my happy for way too long and opening to app and seeing how low my streak is puts me down to where I’d rather not open the app and be reminded that because of one bad I day - I failed or I lost something. Give a way for people who struggle or are busy to get their streak back more than one single time without paying..Version: 3.72.56

Love the app, wish non-Plus was more rewardingSuggestion: Please consider giving higher rewards for scheduled evening goals? I’m motivated to complete tasks earlier in the day. But once your energy is full, the rewards are minimal. My nighttime routines are the most important for me personally, and it would be helpful to have more motivating rewards. Eg. higher rainbow stone rewards for goals completed after you fill your energy, or for scheduled evening goals. Review: I love this app! As an adult with ADHD who struggles to prioritize taking care of myself, this is so helpful. It has the dopamine boost of a game/rewards, without the distractibility of an actual game. It’s very helpful to externally motivate me to take care of myself and basic life tasks, eg drinking water, listening to my body when it’s hungry, taking my meds, taking time for myself. Suggestion 2: I only wish the free version was more rewarding. Especially for event rewards, the non-Plus needs to have a few more guaranteed items and less random chests towards the end of the event days. I ended up just paying for Plus because I wanted the additional daily event rewards and options of clothes/decor to serve as motivation for me to stick with my goals. And I understand the developers need money to help them continue to run such an awesome app! But I do wish the non-Plus was slightly more rewarding for events / had more options..Version: 3.51.1

Benefits of FinchFinch is an amazing self care app that has helped me manage my anxiety by encouraging me to engage in more simple daily life tasks. Instead of becoming overwhelmed about all the things I have to do in one day, Finch has helped me accomplish my goals one by one. For example, tasks like staying hydrated or doing an activity to care for myself. This app engages in positive reinforcement where if I accomplish a task, I am rewarded with more coins and fun activities to do with my virtual pet. It also makes sure to send me positive messages and affirmations when completing a task no matter how small the task may be. This little encouragement keeps me moving forward and makes me want to accomplish more goals in the future. Outside of goal setting, it also has helped reduce my anxiety through breathing exercises or different grounding techniques and mood tracking. These exercises activate my parasympathetic nervous system and shift my focus from whatever the fear may be to my present moment. Engaging in mood tracking and journaling has opened the door to self monitoring and behavioral activation techniques for me as well. Those tasks alone have helped me improve my emotional regulation. Overall, I would recommend this app to anyone who is struggling with their mental health or just wants to improve their everyday lives by taking a break and visiting their virtual pet for a little bit..Version: 3.73.139

This app genuinely changed my daily lifeI normally don’t leave reviews, but the way this app has completely changed my routine for the better, I owe them the review. In fact, I’ve been recommending all of my friends get the app as well. Since using the app, I haven’t missed a single day. Last year, I completed 0 books. This year I decided I wanted to get back into reading. After downloading this app, I have finished 4 books so far this year and it’s only March. I’ve also been doing so much better with my hygiene, work, other hobbies. It’s truly amazing. I do think this app might be dependent on the goals you set for yourself. I recommend being vague. For example you can add a goal like “clean something” daily and that can count as laundry, cleaning your mirror, making your bed. Also, you can set tasks as daily even if you don’t have the intention to do it every day because your job each day is to do as much as you can. The app also has breathing exercises and built in workouts with a video to see the movements. They’re mostly yoga, but I’ve been using the breathing exercises and morning workouts to be less groggy in the morning because I work from home and it’s been so helpful. It’s also kind of like Snapchat or Locket where it’s a nice way to keep in touch with your friends even if you’re not actively texting them every day. The only thing I kind of wish is that instead of everyone having a Finch character than it was more of a chibi or IMVU avatar or something like that so you could make them look cooler or like yourself. That’s the only thing I’d change about this app. Anyways, give it a try at least..Version: 3.73.134

A Game (and Life) Changer! I love it!I was recommended this app by a good friend of mine who had been enjoying using it. So, I decided to download it and give it a try. At first, I had somewhat low expectations, I figured it would become just another trendy app that I try and eventually forget about. However, Finch is not that app. Finch is a fun, engaging way to practice daily self-care and motivate you to complete personal goals. If you struggle with mental health, such as anxiety or depression, it even has a “first aid” toolkit of breathing and grounding exercises that is accessible at any time; and it’ll recommend it to you anytime you report feeling upset, which can be helpful for those who struggle to self-deescalate. The best part about this app is that it doesn’t even feel like excess work and it’s FREE. You can pay for premium features, but your definitely don’t have to, I’ve been enjoying the free version! It just feels like a fun and relaxing mobile game (Your finch is immortal and self-sufficient for those worried about caring for their finch). It’s convenient app design is probably why it’s been so easy to incorporate into a daily routine. I’ve been using Finch for over 2 months and I love it. I’m studying to become a mental health professional, and I’ve already recommended it to my colleagues! 5 stars isn’t enough, more people need to know about this fantastic resource!.Version: 3.71.2

It’s a really good app😍It’s a really good app. It helps me like get out of the bed in the mornings cause I know like I have some thing to like help me keep me in line because when I don’t have any like schedule like I don’t need a big schedule it’s just I need some thing to be like oh I need to do this and this and this and then I can do that on the app and just check it off as I go and it’s really helped me with like do the dishes. clean the house? And it’s really like kept me in line and it makes me realize like a lot more things like I wrote like oh leave 20 bucks at the gas station for somebody if you have the extra money to like help them if they can’t like buy some thing or just like help anybody like he cool because it makes you feel like a better person and get a productive but like the one thing I have to say about it is like if you really wanted to you could just like every day open the app and click checkmark checkmark checkmark and just like like about it so I think if you could do like a little bit more proof of like being like oh I did this in sin like a picture of like I did it or like how you did it that would make it very like to where you grew would have to like actually do it I do everything that I put on there because I have to us, but for it’s like they just click it off so they can get the coins and stuff they have like a coins and stuff but like it’s a little expensive for the pawnshop right you have to gain a lot of coins from like two in your activities and stuff and it takes forever but those are the only two bad it, and that’s it and it’s a really good app 10 out of 10.Version: 3.70.7

I’m ADHD and Stresso Depresso: Nothing worked for me, but THIS did!Finch has completely changed my life forever. As someone who struggles deeply with depression and ADHD and especially executive dysfunction in every area of my life, this app made the perfect storm of external reward systems, coping skills, breathing techniques, and gratitude practices that I needed to make real, lasting changes in my life! I have been consistent with this app for 78 days straight now, and that is weeks and weeks and weeeeeks longer than I ever have committed to any changes big or small that I’ve attempted in my life! Its mechanics are designed really well (I went for game design in college so lemme tell ya) to make you really celebrate your smallest wind but not too much so that you have everything you want super fast! It rewards you in the perfect way- get since you can only in-game currency by completing your tasks and your goals! I’m not perfect by any means, but this app has helped shift my mindset into seeing things more positively and actually having hope in my capabilities to get things done and get organized and actually stay ahead of my responsibilities. Thank you so, so much! I wouldn’t be this far without the development team who expertly crafted the game design elements to reward me but not too much! Thank you for making me do the dang thing by dangling cute micropets and finchie fashions in my face! 😂🙏💕✨.Version: 3.72.82

Changed my lifeWhen i first downloaded the app A YEAR AGO (🤯) On this very day, i was downloading it out of spite because i kept getting ads for it and i wanted to prove that a bird couldn’t help me get on track. I didn’t floss, barely able to brush my teeth a day, i showered at like 7 pm if even that on weekends, almost never did my hair, never cleaned, i didn’t take care of myself at all my life was a mess, and i was so ashamed. Ashamed of myself, my habits, the way i looked if im being honest. If february 2024 me saw me today, not only would she be shocked with things like my personality, friends, music taste, hobbys, likes, my looks, and literally everything else about me she would be shocked at how much i improved. If you told me one year ago i would have all these good habits, i literally would have never believed you. I don’t even think she would believe i could wash my face twice a day. On weekends especially. This app literally changed my life in so many ways and im so glad i downloaded it. The chain reaction it had on my life was kind of crazy. I literally somedays especially when i was just starting only did things because i knew if i didn’t my streak of getting it done would be broken and thats OKAY. Things do get better, even if you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel it DOES exist. Ilsym even i don’t know YOU. -aubree & azalea whose birthday is today..Version: 3.72.76

Gen Z targetedSince the majority of Gen Z is in agreement that we will not be having children, and we are struggling with our mental state…. This app is for you! Your little chick companion will be the baby you never knew you wanted😂 I love them so much that I’m genuinely willing to pry myself away from the usual bed rotting state and wash my sheets, or brush my teeth, or take out the trash BECAUSE I WANT MY CHICK BABY TO GROW! You complete daily tasks you’ve set for yourself (the app suggests really great ones but you can write personalized ones as well) and then you get rainbow gems (the apps version of currency) that you can use to buy ur chick outfits and home decor. Your chick will level up if you pet them frequently and complete ur tasks. They go on daily adventures and tell you what they found. I’ve honestly grown emotionally attached to my baby “Plumper”. I will open the app often because I want to see them and then remember I need to drink water and so I do just so I can see my chick thrive. Which in turn makes me thrive. 🤍 It’s just a cute app and genuinely has helped a lot. They have quizzes for ur mental health, and little “journal” prompts you can write entries on for different subjects like grief for example. I really do recommend this so highly which I typically would never do. But if you need that extra motivation at times and like cute things I really think this app can help..Version: 3.70.10

CUTE AND HELPFUL!!!This app is so cute and helps me focus on self care, self love, self acceptance and a bunch of other good mental hygiene stuff! I have recommended this app to my counsellor, my friends and my Facebook acquaintances!!! I will definitely be buying the full app when I have the money! Thank you so much for making this app!!!.Version: 3.0.1

AmazingI 100% recommend this game! it’s so cute and so comforting. i check in on my finch every day! it helps encourage me to do things that i can’t push myself to do! i love dressing her up and petting her and going on adventures! thank you for making this game! 10/10.Version: 3.19.1

Finch rating 5 starsFinch is the best app on my phone I am mentally attached to my little birb they are adorable.Version: 3.5.1

I love itFinch is awesome your pet keeps you motivated and it’s so cute I love it and it’s adorable!!.Version: 3.15.1

🙏🙏🙏It’s fun get it.Version: 3.15.1

My pet name is pickel😁I really love this app! I wanted to have a goal to my days not just pointless days, then i installed Finch! It help me i make my goals for the day the minute i wake up and by the night they are all done! I never drink water because i hate it, but Finch put me one goal that was drink water now i ALWAYS drink water i love the app i did not buy vip because i dont need it we basically have everything so it don’t have an utility vip.Version: 3.69.11

Finch’s likes and dislike featurePlease, please let us change our finches likes and dislikes, it is so frustrating because my finch hates EVERYTHING, especially the avatar the last airbender show, which is my absolute favourite growing up. The finches hating literally everything I do makes me feel judged and unwelcome, so please include a feature where you can at least revisit the thing to like and not like. It’s too much negativity for me.Version: 3.72.65

Watch the free trialThis app is actually great other than this. They do try to shove the paid version down your throat and even off free trials. You have to watch the free trial though because it’s for the most expensive option. They tell you in the app that you will be notified one day before the trial is up so that you can cancel it. They don’t do this. Also if your trial period ends on a weekend you’ll be charged the Friday before but dated for the Monday. Multiple people I know have had this happen- don’t accept the free trial..Version: 3.72.70

Fun and cute but kind of useless if you enjoy lying and hate sentimentalityThis is NOT is a design flaw on the part of the devs, as I’m sure it’s very effective for its core audience (people invested in the concept of self-care and take gamification at face value) but this is a warning to people who are resistant to habit-building, don’t get any intrinsic reward from ticking things off a list, and are not emotionally moved by virtual pets: this app is not for us. It’s a solid app! I’m sure it’s helped lots of people! But I would not recommend this app to people who are going to realize that you can just lie to your digital child about the things you did that day. I also just kind of find it strange that your allegedly-adult Finch will gush about things like The Very Hungry Caterpillar and milk like they’re finding out these things exist for the first time. Once again: as an app, it is good, hence the four stars. I write this review as a caution for people who think their treatment-resistant brain will be fixed by an app: it will not. It will just be a dress-up game for you, which is also fine, but not what it’s meant for..Version: 3.72.63

SuggestionGreat app in general, a bunch of awesome customization. I do think that with the new "research" when we answer the questions, there should also be the sentence associated with the emoticon because sometimes(for example today) the question isn't clear which expression means what..Version: 3.73.167

Works on a old ADHD brain thanksI've tried lots of different things and not stuck and I definitely wasn't consistent with any part of them. This showed up one day and I was bored enough and it looked cute enough to try. This app has been one of only things I have committed to. I'm on a 97day streak. I'm old and this is the first time I've been able to accomplish anything like this. My ADHD brain thanks you and I appreciate your efforts.Version: 3.73.97

💔Loved this app so so much. unfortunately it's progressively getting more and more annoying because of how the rewards for the daily quests work. like you really can't give one (1) theme-appropriate colour for the non-paying users to choose from — "lettuce slippers" have to be black, purple, pink, or white, and "queen of hearts' roses" have to be teal, black, brown or grey? so much for "getting rewards for taking care of yourself" i guess, unless i missed a note that taking care of myself now means paying you <3 anyway. the app that's supposed to uplift me now only perpetually makes me sadder. disappointing.Version: 3.73.126

Needs a dark mode but good app.I love this app. Definitely needs dark mode though..Version: 3.73.98

I LOVE THIS APPI’m accually not just saying that because it’s accually true it’s the best app ever and it’s made me more productive And I have a question does the finch pet grow up and die? ❤️❤️❤️.Version: 3.4.0

I have changed my reviewMy old review: I love the finch pets they’re so cute and i feel 100 times healthier! Now i think that they are pure asses because they wouldn’t make a switch that turns off streaks, that you could turn it off when you wanted too because it was annoying when you lost it, it just made you feel bad that you missed your healthy daily routine that you do on finch, but now you wouldn’t help us, get back that same feeling. I could give it a 1 but this app helps, i have seen many reply about this app and how it made you feel bad when you lost a streak. 3 stars..Version: 3.73.91

Suggestions and my thoughtThis app actually helped me and my mother create a cleaning routing and keep it. We both have adhd and keep a routine his very hard for us. We had the determination but this was the tool we needed to continue the routine we started! I also have suggestion to grow your community. My mom also wanted to download the app but can’t because she does not understand english and i checked to see if they where other languages but if there is, i did not see it. So, put other languages could be interesting. I don’t know if it’s worth your time to translate everything but i would greatly appreaciate it!.Version: 3.72.65

Not enjoying the new direction…I’ve been using this app for over 500 days now and have been a sponsor for nearly as long. It’s become a part of my daily routine and I’ve regarded it highly enough that I’ve been willing to pay extra so others can access it. I can’t say I like the new direction the app is taking though. Having gambling machine sounds when gems are acquired is just unpleasant and isn’t a great thought to bring to mind. Now the app is tracking “streaks” and asking players to pay gems to get their “streaks” back. The “carrot” is what worked with Finch, it was a supportive, open, shame-free environment built on the idea of a micro pet that loved and believed in the user unconditionally. Bringing in the “stick” of tracking the user for missed days and prompting them to pay to erase the mistake with gains they’ve made by actually meeting their goals runs counter to what made the app great..Version: 3.70.13

Very goodCould you add an demiboy and demigirl flag please?.Version: 3.73.173

FinchI love Finch! Im so attached to my birb. But, I got a new phone, and now I don’t think I can log into my Finch account on my new phone. USUALLY, you can click log in, but I don’t see it anywhere. Maybe im just blind 🥲.Version: 3.69.8b

Add gamesPlease add an update to play games with your finch.Version: 3.15.0

Love this appThis app helps so much with executive function and gamifying my life. Love how customizable it is, too! The price for premium is very reasonable, too. To the devs: please can we make the update description say that the finch is eating the bugs in the system??.Version: 3.73.168

Neurodivergent peopleIt honestly helped me so much with my ADHD and my depression.Version: 3.73.93

Change that one name thoughLove it, but would recommend to change the “easy wins” heading to “getting through the day” or something else because for disabled or depressed folks these are not always “easy”.Version: 3.73.147

Cute but crashesThis is a really cute app! I’ve been using it for close to a year now, and it makes me happy to dee all the different decor and items. But since the Valentine’s day themed update, it crashes a often and closes itself. Please fix it!.Version: 3.73.120

One thing missing!App is great! Think about adding a menstrual cycle tracker!.Version: 3.73.33

Love it!Love this app so much, been using since march! i just wish there was a way to always get back to finchie forest, as it is the default destination!.Version: 3.73.91

Too many non-animal micropetsGumdrop the plop? Bob the Blob, a Pompom? Wally the Waddle? Come on, micropets should be animals, or at least recognizable things.Version: 3.73.89
