I joined, and liked on Facebook & should have gotten 60 points twice. But nothing happened. I tried it several times but still nothing. What gives? Is this a scam?

A price of less than $15 per month is quite cost-effective, but can you provide a year-round subscription service? Can there be more discounts?

It's really good if you love reading

I have earned over one thousand points but can’t use them. The app allows you to use 300 points a day (3x10mins) to read. When the ten minutes is over it stops you abruptly and when you use your next ten ten minutes, you spend some time to search where you left off. The app forces you to sign up for their membership. I’ll buy points but won’t sign up and give up more personal information than I already have.

I love this app, and use every opportunity for free reading to do so, as I refuse to pay when a lot of these books are officially available to buy, much cheaper than any monthly prescription, however, I have found by watching ads, or clicking on ads, all my options to gain free reading time, gets messed up, like it will say I used up all my times to watch an ad, which is supposed to be 30 points for every ad, with a limit of 5 ads, but it will take all my uses (saying I watched 5 ads) but not give any of the reward points for everything I watched or clicked. Proving my point is a screenshot I have, one that is supposed to be 30 points forfor clicking on the link and clicking 3 ads and waiting 30 seconds. Said I used all 5 chances, so I should have 150 points from all 5, but only have 50. This is not the only, the first, second, third, or tenth time this app has done this to me. Me doing the thing for free reading and not getting my points even though it’s saying I used up all my video watches or ad clicks. I’m not getting the points to use towards my free reading time. At this point, I feel like I’m owed a free subscription with how many times it’s screwed me out of points and my free reading time, it’s been doing this to me for 3 months consecutively and I’m about to delete the app and jus buy the books off another site because of this

I found an ad for the app on Instagram and was interested so I downloaded it. The first story I read relatively no issues. But there was noticeably poor grammar and spelling. I continued to try reading other stories but quickly found most stories on the app have atrocious grammar and terrible spelling, making it extremely difficult and near impossible to follow and understand what’s being read let alone enjoy it. One book even had most of its chapters locked (mind you this one actually had few grammar and spelling issues so it was more enjoyable). But after waiting 24 hours for it then to unlock, they didn’t. I then messaged the people who deal with the app twice about this issue and it’s been almost a week with no reply. It’s getting really frustrating and not worth all the issues.

You cant even finish a chapter bc of time limits. Its so annoying that the points only give you time limits. 100 points for 10 minutes is bull***t. Any other reading app you use points to unlock full chapters, not just reading time that starts the second you press redeem. It also doesn’t allow you to pickup where you ended last so you are using up time searching for where you left off. If it wasn't for the fact i like the stories so far i would just delete the app and not look back. And believe me once I finish the story or am able to find it on a better app, thats the first thing I'm doing.

Reading a book with a bunch of letters and stars to hide vulgar language and no way to turn it off so that the reader can read as the author intended. If you don’t want to display the book as written don’t sponsor the author. I wasted $ not realizing all books would be censored even when I’ve selected over 18 and provided a valid date or birth. Supports response was less then helpful and I quote If the censored words didn't change after setting your reading mode to "Adult," please be advised that we have created standards for managing content on our platform to ensure that StaryNovel remains a safe and respectful app and complies with regulations for user-generated content (UGC) in various app stores. Please understand that any inappropriate or sensitive language included in a story's content will trigger our audit mechanism, and inappropriate words will be automatically blocked. ——- What’s the point of publishing a raunchy romance novel if you intend to block anyway.

Stories are ok for easy reading, but it’s impossible to cancel a subscription. The app directs you to settings with no options to cancel that I can see

I liked it at first because it was better than the apps where you have to pay but now that I found out you can only use points three times a day and any points you’ve earned that same day expire at the end of it is ridiculous. I didn’t just waste my time watching videos and getting a friend to download for my points just to expire at the end of the night because I can’t use them.

I’ve been using this app for a little over a week now and I keep doing all the ads for the free reading time. I have 200 points and I’m not allowed to use them for free reading. It’s not even showing up under my free reading that it’s available, getting really irritated with this app I absolutely love the stories that I’m reading right now, but there is no reason I should not be able to read it if there’s free reading time and the day reset so I should have plenty of free time

My issue with this app is that they have you watch all these adds to get points but then they only allow you to read for 3 10 minute intervals! It doesn’t matter if you have a thousand points it only allows you to use 300 evey 12 hours! Not only that it doesn’t give the full 10 minutes! It usually stops at 6 1/2 minutes ! That’s my reason for this rating!

Allows you earn minutes to read but then as soon as the minutes are up it kicks you back to free chapters and you can not reread even the chapter you were on. Give us chapters instead of minutes. The chapters I was reading were long and took more than 10 minutes to read. Such a waste of time. You can not enjoy a book that has a time limit on it so you need to get to the end of the chapter fast.

I saw this story “years of goodbyes” on Facebook and I got deeply interested in the story and I wanted to read the rest so I downloaded the app that had the story and I scrolled down to the part I was at and you have to pay to continue reading the story and even with the subscription you still aren’t able to read the full story!!! It’s awful and yes I know it’s the writers fault but the spelling and grammar is horrible!! This is probably the worst story app I’ve downloaded yet!

I was reading a book on this app when I realized as soon as I finished a chapter it would lock so I wouldn’t be able to go back and reread. I was reading with points (for free) so I had to be ok with that. Recently I took a break from reading my story to come back and find out I can only finish reading it if I was to subscribe. That wasn’t the case before. I’m deleting this app.

If a book is going to turn into a " premium subscriber" only thing it should be disclosed at the beginning when you select the book. It was bad enough use of points/free time were so limited overall this app is not worth the time you put in as far as what you get out of it. Only tried one book and thank god because this app is being removed asap!

I had unlocked quite a few chapters today but when I went back through to reread them more than half were relocked. I was unable to submit a request to the help desk because I used points and not money so there “wasn’t a receipt” according to the app. It’s annoying enough to need to unlock chapters but to have them reversed with no way to reach out for help is the limit.

I'm going to cut my losses and remove this app. Why is it asking me to pay again for books I've already paid for just because you changed your program to monthly pay? I've paid for several books by the chapter and it completely unfair that now I have to pay by the month to read them again.

Great content, but frustrating platform. I have plenty of points to spend and would gladly spend more time on the app using those points but my free reading time each day is limited. Very frustrating!!Don’t plan to use the app after I finish this current story, not worth the frustration of getting cut off when I have the time to read.

I have no stories showing up for authors. I search for an author, it says 16 stories for example, and then it’s just blank. Every author I try is the same. Red Johnson, Unwise Owl, Aura Rose, Aurora Archer, all blank. I pay a lot monthly for this app and then pay extra for Dreame to read stories I should be getting on this app. Very annoying.

Hi. I’m currently new to this app and I normally update all of my app and phone when it’s needed and I updated this app not too long ago expecting the bug fixes to be fixed only to be let down today when I go to open the app and it crashes on me multiple times.

Loved your app! Was on for couple years! But now there are books I can’t read even though I pay a monthly subscription to do so! I tried to let you know so it would get fixed but all I get is nothing! So I don’t know if I should continue this app?

This app is really terrible. I have 15 minutes to read a couple of chapters and the app kicked me off and I lost my 15 minutes of reading time. This is not a good app. Makes me bummed as I was enjoying the story I was reading 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had just redeemed 10 minutes and i started reading the next chapter I finished it in about 4 minutes and i went to continue to the next chapter and all my time went away i had time left and then it just disappeared like a glitch i don't understand

I am 139 chapters into a story I enjoy and have hit a wall where I must pay $25 a month if I’d like to continue… let’s talk about frustrating and disappointing.

Why does it only let you get so far into a book and then in order to finish the story you need to purchase the premium. You should be able to finish all books using points

After being a paid subscriber, many books you can’t read. You can’t purchase coins. The grammar is atrocious on most stories. I will be cancelling all my subscriptions through Starynovel. It just isn’t worth it

I use my coins to read the free stories but it never saves them so I always have to restart and get more coins if there any way to fix it please help thank you for your time

I paid through apple and stary says I need to pay again. I have email 2 times and nothing. I even sent a copy where it shows I paid! This is so irritating.

I’m a paid subscriber. I can’t read the entire book because it says you have to be a VIP subscriber, which I am. Grammar is terrible. I just want to cancel my subscription.

This app says you can cancel anytime. But you can’t. There is no way to turn subscription off.

The ad I saw said free but it’s not don’t bother downloading unless you want to spend $15 a month. Liars

Would have given more start if the free reading option actually worked. The have over 200+ points accumulated but I cant redeem them for whatever reason. Also it would be nice if the subscription wasn’t so much.

I get to a book chapter and it won’t refresh to the next chapter , it always says scription so I click it and then nothing , emailed them 2 times no one got back to me

I really enjoy reading these stories! But every time I try to watch a video for points it says error, try again. What gives with that.

Even though you pay the monthly fee it doesn’t let you pass the 6th chapter. Very frustrating

The chapters I read where good, but then it doesn’t let you continue after the 6th it’s always asking for subscriptions.
