Been with them since the beginning!I downloaded their first free app to try it and immediately bought the first pro. I have no problem purchasing their very reasonably priced new versions especially because, if you are already a user they give you special pricing. And they update it on a regular basis for free. They obviously work hard on their product because I never have any problems transferring my vast collection to the new version. You only need to remember your email and password and they do the rest. If you have an old movie that isn’t in their archives there is an easy way to submit it and they will get it added. The company answers their emails if you have problems and are always willing to help. We all know how other app companies ignore us; This company Will Not. If you are new to this app and find it confusing; read the directions. but if you are like me; EXPLORE. It’s really well made and easy to learn. After you scan everything in make sure you put it on your phone. I have it on my phone and two ipads so I always have it with me when I buy movies. It keeps me from buying doubles. I do not know what I would do without it. With 2347 movie; I can no longer do without it. I wish they would make one for books because I have even more of them. Very Useful ToolI’ve been using and buying upgrades for this app for well over five years, and have found it to be a critical tool for keeping track of my disc and online movie/TV collection. It’s prevented me from duplicating movie purchases (I always check to make sure I don’t already own a given movie, which seem odd but it’s surprisingly easy to make this mistake). That alone has always paid for the purchase price. The barcode feature makes adding movies to the database very easy, saving hours of time vs. keying the titles in manually. This is perhaps the most important feature for me whenever I buy a new disc. For iTunes movies, there is now a way in version 4 to specify resolution, which is much better than having to enter “HD” or “SD” in the notes field. Thanks to the developers for continuing to maintain this app and add features. I have absolutely no problem paying for the upgrades, as no one should be expected to work for free..AparVersion: 4.05

Great App to Track Movie LibraryAfter being introduced to My Movies by my mother-in-law many years ago, I have used the app, gladly paying what I consider a reasonable amount to upgrade every 3 years. It was and remains exactly what I was looking for to track my collection. It is simple to use and reliable. The addition of the ability to track movie collections and identify those movies needed to complete the collection in My Movies Pro 4 is a great addition. As my family’s collection has grown, it has become difficult to remember every movie we have—especially since there are many movies that I have no interest in seeing! Amazing AppI am not one to write reviews but for this app I am making an exception. I have a collection of over 1300 DVDs and Blu-rays just because I like to have the movies and TV shows I like to watch at the palm of my hands, and not deal with the disappointment of having to pay a monthly fee or not finding it. Love itSimple thorough and convenient. I love that I don’t have to enter any movie information except under the rare circumstances of a movie not in the database. It so nice to be able to locate a specific movie to look up information about it, or to see if I actually have it in my inventory. Movie collection app.It’s by far my favorite of the available collection apps for films as it regards what one owns. My only complaint is the app got rid of 2 fun options, the first option was the bookshelf skin that made it appear as though your collection was displayed on a shelf. The Black background is great and the white background is the one they should have ditched, keeping the shelf instead. The second option that I miss the most was when you turned the phone sideways, it use to show the films in a scrollable format where the titles to the left and right were standing upright and turntable like pages… it’s what attracted me most about the app aside from its useful function…God, how I miss the Mymoviespro version 1 :).PhilnietheVersion: 4.08

Solid way to catalogue media collections!I’ve used My Movies for over a decade and across multiple versions and devices. It always works, and the only gripe I’ve got is that syncs can take a LONG time and leaving the app for any reason means you’ve gotta start at square one again. Even if your screen auto locks, you’ve got to start over. Pretty frustrating. I just synced because I got a new phone and it was right around 20 minutes of sync and hoping nobody would call and that the screen would’t lock. I’ve got 1,000 or so titles in the library, so that could be part of it, but a 64 gig iCloud restore is faster than syncing the database across devices. It’s a bummer, but it’s the only bummer. User since version 2.0I’m a major movie buff and physical media collector. My Movies not only lets me catalogue and track my collection as it grows but also I can set categories, franchise sets and my want/wish list with relative ease. I like that the front and back covers are included as data is updated so I can compare multiple releases of a single film and films are very easy to find either searching by title or scanning UPCs. Not only is this a great app, but it probably has the best tech support of any app, I’ve ever used. Company is in Denmark and I’m on the west coast of America. Everything ya need.Exactly what I wanted in a movie collection app with one caveat. Great organization, easy to use ui, clear instructions of use and really easy to follow directions for logging your movies not already in the system. My one complaint is how the collection looks as a whole. Would love more customization features. Even just a selection of a solid color for my background. Customer Service is nonexistentThis is the second review I have written in hopes that it will actually be published and help others. I have had this app for some time and have paid for upgrades when available. I got a new phone and since then I cannot get it to work on my new phone. I have contacted customer service multiple times and my requests have largely went ignored. I have asked multiple times how to correct the problem so that I can access my collection with over 1000 titles. I did exactly what they told me to do and it still doesn’t work. I wouldn’t buy this app (forcing customers to repurchase)I found a better Movie App called Movie Buddy ($4.99) which has the exact same features as this app plus you can also BACKUP and RESTORE your library to iCloud. (Sweet) I had to switch after this developer tried make (us) the current customers repurchase the app again. They wanted another $8 to keep using the pro version. I already paid for the pro version once and now they blocked our login so we couldn’t load our movie library unless we paid again. AVOID or pay monthly subscription fee!!VERY FRUSTRATING AND DISAPPOINTING!! LOVE this app, and the upgrades are an great improvement. Really GREAT! But my original $2.99 purchase is now $20+ in updates I was charged for in order to maintain functionality— the last $8 to avoid a monthly subscription charge. Was not even offered the option to stick with the lesser functionality of the previous versions. Very disappointing, as one of the main reasons I originally chose this program, was the one-and-done purchase price. Now that I have 5000 movies filed (100+ hours of my time), this company apparently feels that I am at their mercy. Obviously, I will soon be required to pay a MONTHLY fee or give up my access to the app and my movies. Either way, I lose. Search Function Worse Than Previous VersionWhen using the search function, there is no way to fully submit the search. As you type in the search field the results populate on a drop down menu, however the app leaves the rest of the collection showing below the pop up making it confusing to see where the pop up ends and the collection begins. Paid for upgradesThey release new versions of the app (version 4 as of right now) with some new functions, which we all know means that they stop servicing the old app (version 3)… So either pay to upgrade to newer versions as they’re released, or have a database that isn’t kept up; Typical shady business model. Nice program. But sad attitude with cross platform help.Love this program as it has all the features I want to catalogue my physical collection but as for their attitude towards having it working with old versions (still running the original on my mac), they won’t help as i get constant errors w imdb. I looked at v2 and its locked to trial mode, w access to 52 titles. I refuse to pay again for an app that’s stuck on version two for the longest time while the ipad version is up to version 4.
