Great Workstation

Still a bit patchy, but the best app for my windows platform that I can instantly work with data on my phone that transfers to my computer, working with my own files - lots of potential, still needs work with the deletion of pages & creation of new Workspaces… it is great though just what I needed now for data science

MS Loop is getting it together

I'm a big fan of Microsoft Office 365 and I see value in some of the things they do alot of the times they get ahead of themselves and don't perfect the system but as my mentor one said shoot and then aim. This is no different with this loop program. I am not a computer tech so it's a little harder for me to understand and maneuver within the program but I've been working on trying to implement projects and assign them to experts that can help implement the project and get into the field instantly. I would give it a five if they take the technology side of it and implemented it for those of us that are not tech experts, and make it a lot easier To implement projects and assign them to vendors/ contractors outside of our organization that are experts, so you can bring them into move on the project. I would recommend it, especially now that they have the MS Loop app.

Good start

Loop has improved since first release in test flight. The overall app across the O365 apps is decent. UX is a little clunky, not always intuitive to how to best setup workspaces. It would be great to see the team create a setup walkthrough that helps configure based on what you want to do with Loop since it has a ton of great use cases attached to user stories. Overall, solid at connecting a number of Microsoft apps and business processes into a single shareable solution.

Microsoft Got This Right

If anyone is familiar with *Notion or **Bear, then I’d say Loop is a happy medium that is embedded into the 365 environment. I would go as far as saying this could eliminate OneNote, Planner and To-Do. Loop + Teams = Effective Communication. I also love the integration between the Meeting Agenda in Teams and Loop. So effective. *In terms of prompting and inserting prebuilt modules like tables, trackers, and tasks. **In terms of its simplicity. Suggestions: 1. Templates (if they exist I haven’t found them): There are several basic templates that could help users, yet, not go overboard in analysis paralysis like Notion. Keep it simple. 2. Co-Pilot (if available, I haven’t found it): AI Writing Assistance + Loop = Effective Communication

@officalappstoreVersion: 2.84
Great app for group notes

Opening categories for specific areas and then saving notes from those areas in these categories really help organizing notes. Teams notes from the past and upcoming list of plans can be saved here. Great program.

Game Changer

Perhaps one of the most important and game changing tools I have used for organizing and planning my work and collaborating with others in the M365 ecosystem. Coupled with Copilot… mind blown the first week I really started to use and officially replaced my use of OneNote. Bravo.

MDLive PatientVersion: 2.82
Two accounts bombs app

It keeps crashing with two accounts. Can only get it to work my removing one, which is very convoluted.

KarshisVersion: 2.90
Getting Better and Better

I want to give this a five but it’s still not quite there yet. This will be the central productivity app in Microsoft 365. Everything will converge in Loop. I’m excited for when that happens. This is a direct Notion competitor. Its integration with the rest of the M365 suite will probably allow it to surpass Notion in the future.

RegerdergerderVersion: 2.82
Getting there

I like the idea of loop and it has some good thing but it has a long way to got catch up to others options like OneNote. There are many almost there like tables are not even near what can be done in OneNote and even further from excel.

The BudahVersion: 2.103
Love Loop!

I am a big note taker… Loop has made it so much easier and it is seamless between my windows desktop and my IOS devices. It is new app and blows OneNote out of the water.

KaulickVersion: 2.80
Not perfect, but better than Notion

Notion is an over-featured pile of excrement. Loop, while missing some things, is better. More like Notion of old without all the bolted on crap.

NworbcazVersion: 2.79
Good concept needs more love

Good conceptually. Lots of bugs in the web version that are obvious. Microsoft should put some more resources into this application.

I see a lot of potential here but still pretty early days. Looking forward to seeing how this gets off the ground.

Kind of a game changer

Remarkably useful templated activity drivers abound and can be embedded into end throughout the entire Microsoft 365 suite.

Loop is amazing

Cannot say enough good things about the tool for task tracking, process recording, event planning and project management.

Aquarius0174Version: 2.94.1
Widget when?

Loop itself is pretty great. Would love to have proper widget options :)

Julcoc1tronVersion: 2.109
Bonne app pour s’organiser

Bonne app pour rassembler l’info et collaborer, mais il y a encore place pour l’amélioration notamment avec les liens vers les autres app. Pour remplacer notes totalement,, mais quelque options pertinentes sont encore indisponibles.

Sb.balattiVersion: 2.105
Task lists

The task list is active and provides reminders which is amazing. One wish would be to be able to copy and pasted tasks from one past meeting task list to a current meeting past list. This would be ideal to carry forward pending tasks for meeting discussion and reminders.

Microsoft Loop Negative Reviews and Ratings

Mixed experience

Loop is one of those products that both hits and misses. I do use it frequently, but the collaborative goals I had with it are overshadowed by the misses, making its usefulness less than desired. For hits, there are some really interesting tools when creating content on a page, and the integration of Copilot in the page authoring itself can be helpful. However, for all the hits, there are misses. Folders you create have no real organization in them, and you cannot templatize a folder to create a project brief, shared task list, etc. So, you have to manually produce that organization. Also, in the Office tools, Loop components are embeds. They can have their own security, etc., something that cannot be seamlessly managed. It's as though the product was an internal skunkworks or separate effort, was acquired, but the integration across the suite never happened.

TizzyDVersion: 2.100
Who let this out of beta?

Let me be frank, the experience Loop provides on iPhone, as part of a paid subscription from a trillion dollar company is completely unacceptable. A year in, it still isn’t possible to duplicate pages on Mobile. Scrolling, particularly in edit mode, is incredibly jittery jumping all over the page. Worst of all the app is just incredibly unresponsive, you’ll mash a blank line 5 or 6 times before it lets you start typing and don’t even get me started on pasting text. It’s a shame because Microsoft really has a great concept here as a Notion clone with great UI design included with the Office Apps I already pay for, but unfortunately their undisciplined model of development has really hampered the execution. My message to Microsoft: paying customers aren’t beta testers, treat them accordingly.

AtlasMyersVersion: 2.92
Needs wifi to create a note?

Notion user here. Just downloaded Loop onto my iPhone 12 Pro Max to give it a try and I tapped on "New Idea". First it claimed my phone had lost its Internet connection and when I tried again it just never loaded anything. I tried the same thing on my iPad Mini 6 and it worked fine. Maybe you just have some bugs in the iOS version? I also see that you can't share pages on the web publicly. Everyone has to sign in to see the page you are sharing. This is one of my favorite features of Notion. Being able to create a live web page almost instantly is very cool.

Nerdy PeteVersion: 2.90
Not really there yet

I love Microsoft Loop, it’s great having a free alternative to Notion and Jira that won’t break the bank of a small team. However, the iPad app is pretty bad compared to the desktop site, and you can’t access the desktop site from your iPad (at least I haven’t figured out how). Lots, if not the majority of features are missing from the iPad app. Even things like being able to name your wiki pages or creating a subpage are missing. You can’t create kanban boards or any type of template apart from wikis. The UI is very nice and clean, it just doesn’t do a lot. I’m looking forward to future versions of this app, but as of now it’s still got a ways to go.

SweeetjdVersion: 2.83
There’s no depth…

While loop presents itself as an easy way for teams to stay connected there’s actually no basic project tracking functions such as creating and assigning tasks. There’s a scrum template for example; it shows a task board but when you choose the template you quickly find there’s no way to actually create tasks that you can drag and drop across columns of the kanban board. So in summary, it’s only half way there. If it had the basic task creation and management functionality of ASANA, Monday or Notion, we would be in business. Even the list creation of the ToDo App or Planner with the ability to assign would make it decent. As is, this is just a Word document x Sharepoint crossover with less functionality.

JrFromQueensVersion: 2.101
Cumbersome navigation on iPad

Simple not useable on iPad as it’s hard to navigate pages. The iPad app is structured like the mobile app. It doesn’t use the additional screen real estate for easy navigation within workspaces. I was hoping for a Notion like experience, where you have a fixed vertical side menu with all the pages within a “workspace”. Since its so cumbersome to navigate it’s not easy to edit multiple pages at once nor to browse through the resources. I believe the app is great to simple add and edit specific elements, but it doesn’t suit my use case (browsing through documentation).

Robert LuicksVersion: 2.98
Loop has a lot of stupid bugs

First, Loop works throughout our web browsers. But on iOS, it acts completely stupidly. For instance, opening a Loop link from within Teams (which implies I’m already logged into my organization) opens the Loop app, but then Loop shows an error “Action not allowed” and that the organization prevents me from opening the Loop file — EVEN THOUGH I’M ALREADY LOGGED IN IN BOTH TEAMS AND THE MICROSOFT 365 apps and can open/see Loop files from there. Furthermore, there is no offline function, no way to export your data, and very limited Copilot functionality.

SteveIsTheDadVersion: 2.89.1
Formatting and functionality broken on iPad

I want to like the app, but the functionality is broken overall. The “/“ shortcut prompts a pop-up, but when you select the type of content field you’d like to generate, it simply turns the “/prompt” into plain text. There’s no way to organize pages into subpages in the app, navigating through existing pages is incredibly frustrating…it’s clear the developers did not test the app prior to launch. It’s less functional than the native iPadOS notes app.

AwKimVersion: 2.94
Won’t run on iPhone 14 Plus

Opens first. Says something about your organization is now protecting …. I must be more security conscious than I thought! I own the account. I own the phone. I signed in on my account. So….. Epic Fail UPDATE: I reached out for chat support from store on the iPhone. Txt too small to see but enlarging puts chat send goes far right bottom out of view. MS. If you want to serve the iPhone community, step it up. NEW UPDATE: Wasn’t impressed with the chat support, until I received a call right afterward to fix the install! That was really good MS. The app is now installed after a remove, disconnect storage, freezes, and finally several tries and I got into the basic app after Buy Now screens were closed or skipped. I do notice the app becomes aware of my work account, which might be the culprit but was not intended to be a part of the install or usage! I will give it a go and see.

ZedcomancheVersion: 2.87
The UX is awful

No way to exit out of a comment view once left (must force close app) on a page in the tablet app. Sharing a page with edit access grants only read-only access from mobile. No access to version history. Not even a clear way to access the web version of loop on mobile… direct links bring you to the loop homepage, a shareable link is read only. Infuriating experience - IT need to stop mandating MSFT apps. Between this and teams it’s impossible to get anything done efficiently.

Kashan4122Version: 2.105
Apple Pencil doesn’t work

First off I’m a big fan of loop and I’m using on my Mac and windows laptop without issues…. However I downloaded the iPad version to use with the Apple Pencil and pen support is a big issue 95% of the time when you write with the Apple Pencil it never commits the word into text it just show a blank screen. I really hope the team can fix this soon as loop is a great app.

Techiesteve40Version: 2.92
Images disappear - can’t trust this with my notes

I want to use this so badly, but for some reason, the images will disappear and show a corrupted image in its place showing an X. This doesn’t seem to happen on all pages, but for some reason all but one have lost the screenshots I added. I have lost a lot of time because of this. I was using it to take notes from a course that I’m studying for and I just can’t trust it if it’s going to do this I wish they would fix it.

Matthew066Version: 2.84
Great start but needs much better search

Have been using Loop since I noticed it integrated into Microsoft teams. It has become my go to tool for all meeting notes, and I love the ability to share notes across tools and let everyone edit them live. Major barrier to use for me is its very limited search capabilities. The inability to search across note contents makes finding content needlessly difficult.

GraniteMacVersion: 2.96
Navigation Lacking Clarity and Functionality

I use Loop daily on my desktop. On my iPad, I am forced to use the app, which is lacking features like simple UI navigation inside a workspace (no ability to easily jump from page to page inside a workspace). On the iPad app it’s also impossible to get out of a comment in Loop once you open one. If I could use the web UI on iPad, I’m sure I’d have no problem, but being forced into the app makes it hardly useful for me.

Del Punto NuevoVersion: 2.95
Really?!

So, I've been using loop through test flight and like it, needs more functionality so I don't have to switch to my macbook, but good. I open it this morning and get the "download the new app" pop up, so I did. When I went to log in, it says my account doesn't exist and opens the test flight version with a message that says "there was a problem". It doesn't even make it to authenticator. If it's so "new" then why is it brain damaged?

Ripoff jokeVersion: 2.79
Awaiting the basics

The app is solid but is still missing a few basics and has bugs or just gaps right now. Getting anchor links to specific parts in a doc. Commenting is clunky. And some random bugs with copy/pasting or adjusting content in a document make it hard to use with larger docs that need re-arranging.

ElroybebopdiddlyVersion: 2.88
App crash on certain work space

My loop iOS app on our corporate account crashes when I try to access a certain work space. This has been going on for a week - I tried offloading / uninstalling and etc but this doesn’t seem to get fixed. How do I get help here?

Zephyr0225Version: 2.84
Notifications

I would give this app five stars if it actually sent updates to our devices when we are mentioned in loop and things are updated similar to the emails. Otherwise it’s almost pointless

Shonta Of DunstalandVersion: 2.100
Loops good, app buggy

I love Microsoft’s Loop system in desktop, but this app is buggy. It loses your place when you context switch away, even if for a second. And it’s locked up or crashed on me multiple times. Fixed, this would be great. As is, frustrating.

PapasnewbagsVersion: 2.87
I want to like it

This is meant for collaboration with other people, and it could work, but forget about trying to move data from this app into another. There is no way to do that. I tried sending feedback through the app, but it crashed and I lost that feedback.

Mark StonemanVersion: 2.82
Can’t Load Pages

This only works for me on the web version. Even then, the “preview” is very limited in features and slow. This version is only good for deterring potential users before the full release.

SpaceCadetFoxVersion: 2.79
Great Concept but Glitchy

Could be an awesome App. But it glitches and is completely unusable on my iPhone 14 Pro. Works good on my iPad Pro besides the fact that the image is small and doesn’t fill the whole iPad screen. Most likely because it’s an app made for phones

MAJimenez592Version: 2.97
Basic functionality FAIL

“/“ does not work. For example, typing “/checklist” does not add checklist. Added a ‘idea’ loop and it would not show up under recent. So, the the most basic functionality is not working. Fail. Looks promising, though.

Boydston01Version: 2.88
Less than optimal capabilities

The IOS version has much less capability then the web version. You cannot organize newly created loops within existing subpage hierarchy. There are several other functionalities that are missing.

StevelikesanytimeVersion: 2.102.1
Editing

This seems to be picking up my notes from one of the other MS tools (desktop stickies or maybe To Do), and that’s fine but it sure isn’t obvious how to delete something I don’t want or need.

LAX20531Version: 2.81
Why ship an app that isn’t ready?

Horrible. Logs me out every ten minutes. Why would you ship an app that clearly isn’t ready for customers? User experience feels like something from 2010. Perplexed at how Microsoft is so bad at designing applications — it’s like they never had a real human test it out before they ship!

Cooper AdamsVersion: 2.79
It has potential, but not there yet.

The mobile app is very limited. It does’nt let you move notes to other folders. Even editing is limited. I wish it was as useful as the desk top version.

MitagenVersion: 2.102.1
Better than OneNote

Obviously it’s still a WIP, but this seems to be the MS MO lately. Very agile development and calling beta applications ready. While I like the general direction, I encourage the app team to use Obsidian an make adjustments accordingly.

VertigoRayVersion: 2.84
Lags

This app can be used as an MSFT Kanban board/collaboration tool, as the MSFT planner is only for work/school accounts. Simple actions like moving a card from one bucket to another are slow and delayed. They often reset my view and require verification that the card actually moved. I'm now no longer able to add PDFs. I would gladly pay for both services to be enhanced. I want Loop to succeed. I'm switching back to Trello for now.

Promising on desktop, just doesn’t work on iOS

I love the Notion approach, especially when you’re already all O365. But the app. It’s a misery. The caret seems to move back. I don’t know if it’s linked to sync, but as you type, the caret will move back to a previous position, mixing your words. Sometimes the Return will stop working. Impossible to get a new line without quitting and launching the app again. Promising. But gosh, it’s a painful experience right now.

Great idea with lots of great features. But, it needs a lot of work to reduce bugs. Also, it is frustrating that there is no support for PDF files, which I use commonly. I hope future versions will be more stable and have support for PDF.

Not a good mobile app keeps crashing

In office I love this app, remotely trying to take notes using this tool has been nothing but problems. No ability to cut/paste images or use features in your camera to identify slides/white board, just a flat camera image. App keeps crashing too

Meez12348975577Version: 2.84
Not as fun and easy as it should be

I had all kinds of trouble getting in and when I did it gave me warnings that my data wasn’t saved and it doesn’t save in real time like OneNote, I had it crash and the sentence I was typing was gone when I reloaded it. So far, I’m not enjoying it. I also don’t see Loop in the Share button on a Mac which makes it cumbersome to add content from other apps. One star for now as I’m going to stop using it for a year, will check back when it’s more mature.

PointingfingerVersion: 2.86
Login hurdles

Login should use MSFT Authenticator. Or at the very least, the login screen should be configured to use local password managers.

Gabo.bVersion: 2.83
Buggy as heck

The first thing I wanted to do was create a table with some date objects. Typing / and then the object you enter does not work. You have select the object from the menu item. But if you type / with any letters after it, it doesn’t work. E.g. if you type “/date” and hitting enter does nothing. Typing / and clicking on “date” gives you a date item - but super slowly, it’s not quick and responsive. Copying and pasting that date block turns it into text, not a date block so you can’t use it for a quick scheduling tool where you copy and paste rows in a table then update the date fields. Very bad first impression from something so many people rave about. Maybe the desktop/web version will work better.

Blindside_wpgVersion: 2.84
Using for 5 minutes and already upset

This is OneNote who try to go to the gym eating too many carrots … now need proteines. Had a duplicate note. Had rename appearing with empty value. Very slow like OneNote. New idea textbox way too small. I don’t who is the audience for this app but with the large quantity of nice applications out there, a company like Microsoft should be able to produce something better than that.
