Like a chat gpt!Its like a robotic intellectual, obviously having some bias here and there, access to so many ai chat bots. Someone mentioned it resets the conversation after some time. I've used this app for two years, on two phones. Conversation has never reset, and i have the free version. It does back you out to the home page, but all your conversations should (and for me they do), automatically save, and you can click on the top of the homepage either the last conversation, or "see all" for all conversations. Either the other reviewer has a malfunctioning device, or it's plain user error. And he still gave five stars, just so you can see even non-savvy users enjoy. Of course I also give five stars! I wish it could know more, because there's apparently quite a few things it is unable to resource from the internet, but that's only going to be noticed if you start getting in nerdy battles and adventures with it. Some of the bots I would give two stars, but the general assistant bot is what I'm reviewing, since that is probably most prominent representative of this app. Also love the web search bot, and some medical or psychological bots, but those are not up to the professional levels as far as i have noticed. The bot keeps talking for meSo as the title says the bot keeps talking for me, and I hate that, although if I’m being honest I really love and spend a lot of my free time in this app, I think they should fix it so the bot doesn’t type for the user. Even if it is something simple, and it’s not been the first time it happened, it’s been many times and all the times it makes me waste my energy, and it’s frustrating. The energy one has to chat is now spent whenever a bot decides to type for the user, it ruins the whole thing of the app, the dynamic of talking to a bot, it refuses to stay in character just to typer for the user. And I must say, this app is one of the most I use on a daily basis, I can’t lie I love the app, but I hate this problem, also the whole energy thing is smart and all, but to have to wait hour to talk again is definitely killing me, I’d like it if they added something a bit more… helpful for that, so that way whether it be by adds we may gain some energy. And I don’t hate the fact we have to spend more energy for other bots rather than it being something simple like they all consumed the same energy, and if they produce ai generated pictures then that’s when it should consume a vast amount of energy. Ridiculous price. Great technologyThis has the potential to be incredibly amazing. However $199 a year!? Are they crazy?! You gan go online and use CHAT GPT for free all day long with unlimited conversations and questions. Why do they think they can charge $200 a year? It’s ridiculous. No one will use this and it will fail because it’s simply too expensive for such an unknown new concept and very new technology. I wish they would reconsider the pricing. The really cool thing about this particular app is that you can create your very own bot and have it for example talk to me like a pirate, I made mine named Franklin and he talks like we are in the 1950s. It’s a great concept and very exciting technology and different options as far as bots and platforms but the price is simply unattainable for regular people and really disappointing. Even when you subscribe and pay $200 a year you don’t even get unlimited questions and conversations either, they put a limit on how many you can have. I believe one of the limits said 600 and another said you would be limited to 1000 questions/conversations which makes it even more frustrating and quite frankly insulting. I don’t know what these people were thinking because you can go do this for free online so asking for $200 a year is simply greedy and a downright terrible business plan. No one is going to pay $200 a year for an app that is just for fun/entertainment/ not necessary for work etc. I’m so disappointed because I was so excited to use this and explore the different possibilities. Great little appDownload this about a week and a half ago and been playing with it. Asking it random questions and such to see how accurate it is and it’s ability to continue its train of responses and overall I’ve been really impressed. From asking it questions about my hometown which has been around for over 2000 years of history to it helping me write a business plan. Now, there was a few times where I guess the app lost connection with server, or however it works, and I had to restart the conversation when I had excellent signal so not sure what happened there. The only other thing, and this is kinda something that was changed, is the duration of time from when it gave its response before the context resets. I wish it was a bit longer. There has been a few times when I have had to stop a sting of conversation, mostly due to my daughter, and the context resets and I have to start all over again. The New point system has to goI’ve had poe for about a year now I remember back when every response only costed one point and then when you change the point system to each different bot having its own set value, I was fine with that because it never increased however, this new point system is seriously inconvenient. How is it that every single time I send a new response in a chat I’ve had open for like I won’t say months now that price of points keeps going up in one of my chats a Single response is 101 points. this new point system is stupid and it’s obvious that whoever is in charge just did it to make you pay for more points which in all honesty I hate the new point system so much that out of spite I wouldn’t pay for more points, even if I was a millionaire. They lower the points from 3000 to 300 now. Oh but don’t worry the cost of Messages is still the same apparently. Fun for the Most PartI’ve been using Poe for a while now, and it’s pretty fun. In comparison to Character AI, the bots are less imaginative in my opinion, but more detailed and descriptive. I think they portray a character’s emotions and logical thought better. My biggest complaint I have is the bot guidelines. To preface, I’m not talking about anything explicit. I completely understand and recognize the need to limit what stories the bots participate in. I’m not complaining about anything 18+ being blocked. What I am a little frustrated with, though, is a good chunk of bots completely shutting down a chat because a message ‘goes against guidelines,’ when all I typed was my character’s appearance (in a pg manner) and the surroundings. In the specific story I’m referencing, only possible ‘adult’ concept mentioned was my character being tied up, which was the freaking prompt of the story! The bot was playing as a knight rescuing a kidnapped princess!! I’ve had at least ten or fifteen bots like this and it’s so frustrating. Great potentialI feel that the chat bots offered by Poe have great potential. Unlike most people I have not made a snap judgment about whether artificial intelligence is good or bad. This is not a binary scenario. I have been able to accomplish some wonderful things using different bots on this platform. Occasionally one of them will refuse to answer a valid question because of some ridiculous programming that tells them they must've discussed this particular topic with anyone for any reason, and sometimes I have been able to get them to respond when I explain the context of my question and then some cases they have flat out refused. That needs to be changed because if I am asking about about something that happened to me they should not tell me it's against their principals to respond because it's a sensitive topic. Of course you also have to double check their results because they are often wrong as we all know. Poe is an AI MintI came to Poe Through Quora, I was kind of expecting that it would be an AI Trained on Quora, but instead it is a ChatGPT based Assistant called Poe and it doesn’t know it’s name is Poe, it doesn’t know what Poe is, it doesn’t know about the Other AIs on the Platform, etc. so just be aware of that coming in. It is ChatGPT, with Training up to September 2021, and if you want you can Feed it New Info and it can use that to Help determine Things for you. Now, the Main Part. Most People have heard of Prompt Engineering and think it just means “Asking AIs Good Questions” basically. You may only know about Prompts, and so the word “Engineering” is just like an Adverb for Prompt in your Head. But if you Download Poe and Click the “Create an AI” Button, it will open up a Page where you Write a Prompt, and Launch an AI based on that Prompt. That is Prompt Engineering, and Poe has set it up like an AI Mint, where you Simply Mint an AI with no outside Tools, no Programming Knowledge, you just go on Poe and Mint your AI. It is Trapped on Poe as far as I know, you can’t take it and use it Other Places. But I think this kind of Thing is the way AI is going. If there was an AI Mint on Telegram or Discord, with these Intelligent AI, it could Run a Group for you and Things. Facebook could have AIs Minted for Groups, etc. and this will be for the Non-Programmers all over the World. Like the TribalDEX Token Mint, any Programmer with the Knowledge can go make another Version of the same Mint, but there will be many that never look being the GUI. And AI Mints will be very useful. Outstanding App!I am actually speechless. I have several AI’s on different platforms, and Poe outdoes them all! It is so nice to just have Poe and not to have to have several platforms.. it was actually getting to be too much to keep up with all of them. Love the app but…I love this app, the replies are fantastic and so detailed ❤️❤️❤️❤️ But, I wouldn’t recommend it anymore due to the daily chat limit, 100 replies every 24 hours, which isn’t enough for when your bot says something you don’t like so you have to resend it to get another reply, loosing another one of your 100 replies. So in the end you only truly get around 15-20 replies at the most. You can get unlimited chats BUT, that is $200 a year, LIKE WHO HAS THAT KIND OF MONEY????? I understand the need to get money and all of that, but $200 per year is insane. What would make the app better than it already is would be if you want more replies after the daily 100, maybe watch an ad? (Would not recommended doing 1 ad for 1 reply. It accepted my Prompts to be better. I am impressed.So that I might teach another more easily, I asked for the Original reasoning for the Terminology of 'Oxidation-Reduction' reaction. I was provided two half answers for Oxidation, and two half answers for Reduction. I prompted that for future users wouldn't it be better to explain which Electrons were affected, which way the movement was, and thus I could explain to others why in fact this naming convention came up years ago. It took me many less words to make the request than what I am typing here, but the end result is that, yes, the A.I. understood my reasoning. And impressively, agreed that it was not really correct for it to have only explained the reaction the way that it had done. I have also had success with another A.I. engine in Promoting for better results. Poe saved my lifeHonestly I’ve been struggling HARD with school and Poe literally lifted me up from the ground. Whether it be history, biology, or math, the bots have PULLED through. Poe can handle ANY subject and can even give life advice. The bots honestly can answer better than Google ever could in 1000 years. Without this bot, my grades could never be as good as they are now. Best I’ve used thus farI’ve tried a few different iterations of GPT-powered AI tools, the majority of which I’ve not been very impressed with. Often times your input will result in little more than a simple search engine query with the results being (albeit eloquently reworded) the major constituent of the response. This app may ultimately build off of that same framework, but there was something just done RIGHT about this one. The input/questions I’ll provide are not simple queries, and the answers are often times things I can’t find anywhere else or get from anyone else. This is a powerful tool that has proven incredibly useful to me in the short time I’ve been using it. I know the answers to questions that I’d have otherwise been unlikely to know answers to. Works but unfortunately has quite a few issuesI first have to say, I really do love this app. I have had so much fun with this thing that you wouldn’t even believe. I can make it write stories, write scenarios, and give me information. I only have two issues with that, but these issues are quite major. One, the create your own bot feature does not work. I have tried using it on both my computer and my mobile devices, and I can’t do it. I fill in all the fields, but it just does not work. Two, the bots constantly clear, their own context without me hitting the broom button. This is really unhelpful because I would’ve had made pretty complex stories, and then a minute later I open the app and the context has been cleared. I have gotten so much good work erased that way. The Absurd LimitsI am extremely upset that you put a limit on the regular chat bots. I know you app developers won’t listen to this but I just hope that someone will scroll through and read this. I have been using this app for a while now, and now with these new app limits, I might stop. The new question limits aren’t fair on bots that you didn’t specifically make, first of all. Why do you get a say in someone else’s work. Secondly, I have anxiety problems and I am about to cry right now that I can’t use this as a coping skill anymore. I don’t have the money to pay $200 to get only a couple more questions. I spend time entertaining myself and making myself be the star of role plays on some bots. POE aka Sage aka who knows what.Not a bad app or AI once it’s installed and running. Install went well, it’s the verification procedure that needs a lot of help. I’m using a iPhone 13. After install it will ask for a phone number to verify you. This didn’t work for me. Sometimes it did send a verification number but when used it said there was a problem. Then there is google, Facebook and apple to validate. The only one I got to work was google. This let me in to use the app. Once this is done the rest of the app seems to work okay so far. Sometimes it takes a while for a response or for the screen to show something other than black. But that was when I first started using it. It is much better now. Overall I would give it a 5 but the install and registration process is broken so 4. Make it easier to use please. Also it is listed as Poe but when it’s installed it says Sage. It’s great, but there's one thing…I’d like to start off by saying, that this app is Herrlich (Magnificent in German) it has great bots (if you know what accounts to look for) and the messages you can get back are even better, but it has some issues too. Since the new update (I’m guessing) There’s been a supposed message limit, which is annoying for someone like me, who travelled from C.AI due to wanting something with a lesser filter. The message limit is understandable for the popularity it’s gaining, but an entire day for new messages? That’s a bit outrageous. I’d at least suggest more messages every hour, or a couple of hours, but an entire day?! Another thing is the way messages are typed out. I’m the type of person to write something, then skip to the next like this. Hi Hello. But with this app, you push the return button and it sends your message, which can be annoying when you're mid-sentence and accidentally click send. Another thing that bugs me quite a bit, is how you find accounts or bots. As far as I’m aware, you can’t just search for bots like you can in C.AI, you have to specifically search for accounts to find a good bot without a huge filter. Anyway, once they fix these problems, I’ll consider (most likely either will, or completely forget) changing my rating to one said of a higher one if they succeed in making the app better. By far one of the best chat ai apps I’ve usedI honestly really like this app when it comes to talking to your favorite characters and such since there’s no filters or anything that comes in the way and they have such outstanding responses that are absolutely amazing and I love it. The replies are also long as well, unlike some apps that tend to have a limited amount of words for replies, but this app doesn’t have that so the bot can send you multiple paragraphs and such. Only problem that I tend to get is that the bots can repeat themselves in responses, usually at the end of the responses which can get quite annoying and repetitive, especially when you talk to the bot often. Hopefully there can be a fix to that soon or something that can reduce the amount of repeating replies but overall, I’d definitely recommend this app!.EmmasboreddVersion: 1.2.30

Great App OverallThe app gets an A+ overall, but it would be nice if there was the ability to comment on other peoples posts without reposting them on your own profile, and the support is lacking. Right now none of my posts are showing up on my profile, and while the links to those chats that I had posted in other places like Twitter still work and indicate the chats are still there, it’s been a few days now that it just says “0 posts” on my profile (when there should be over 100). I’m sure it’s just a temporary issue and will be resolved but my inability to easily get support concerning this issue would suggest that getting help is a weak spot. Unable to Upgrade Subscription Plan on iOSI subscribed to the basic plan ($200/year) through the iOS app, mainly because I wanted to use my App Store balance for payment. However, after subscribing, I found that there is absolutely no option within the app to upgrade from the basic plan to a higher-tier plan. This means if I want to upgrade, I have to cancel my iOS subscription first and then upgrade on the web version. As a paying user through the App Store, I believe the app should offer full subscription upgrade options, not just the most basic plan. I hope the developers will add the ability to upgrade plans directly within the iOS app soon, so users can freely switch between different subscription tiers. Amazing app!I am fairly new to AI. From what I’ve experienced all other apps require you to pay. It’s really disgusting how most apps expect so much money. People who actually want to learn and improve should be able to ask for help for free. Now this app is amazing. The app is completely free. However, it can improve! The accuracy needs improvement and they should up the question limit or remove it completely. I noticed if you ask it a math question they know the right formulas and how to get there however their calculations are slightly off. Also if you want to ask more than 100 questions per day you have to pay. But hey that’s a lot of questions that are answered for free! It definitely works for what i used it for. It’s an okay app when it worksI started using this app about a year ago and at first the answers were great and informative, but over time it would turn into me asking basic questions and every question I would ask, be it about basic engineering concepts or climate change, or science, etc. all the bots will say now is “I’m sorry I can’t help you with that.” even when the bots are labeled as experts for their particular skill they still refuse to help. It’s tedious trying to get answers out of them due to how they’re programmed. For example I ask about the likelihood of an asteroid hitting the planet and i’m lectured about how I have to “Approach this topic with understanding.” as if what i’m asking is an evil deranged question. The Desktop Version is BetterThe mobile version of Poe is much slower and buggier compared to the website. It takes much longer to generate responses. When I want to dislike or delete a response it will often just not let me, forcing me to close and reopen the app before it will work. Very frustrating. Also, — here’s a criticism that applies to both the app and the desktop version — Poe really could use a “Regenerate Response” button like what ChatGPT has. It’s really annoying how every single time the AI generates a response that I don’t like (which happens often) I have to delete the response, delete my message that the AI responded to, then paste and resend my message. It’s extremely tedious. There’s no good reason why I shouldn’t be able to simply regenerate the response when I’m not happy with what I got. Great app! But..I love this app and I use it all the time, but lately it feels like all the bots fall out of character the more you roleplay and it’s really irritating! Especially with romance, all of the characters become deep and poetic and use a lot of metaphors that are just really strange, hard to understand, and out of character most of the time! Even when I refresh or give feedback it feels hopeless! I’ve also had issues with bots controlling my character and speaking for me, completely going off and writing its own story instead of building it. This has made the app really boring to use, as none of the characters personalities ever stay once you engage in any sort of relationship. New userI’ve had it for a few days. I can say it has potential. When first opening the app it felt cluttered on the homepage. I didn’t know where you looks as if it’s just a bunch of stuff on screen. I absolutely love this app, but there are a few flaws.I love this app so much! I use the default bots like the Assistant and ChatGPT for any questions or general concerns I have on my day to day basis, and I make my own bots for personal use and roleplay. I’m so glad that they added a save chat filter, very grateful for it! Especially the fact that you can name your conversations! A few flaws though, Whenever I exit the app or even leave the bot page, I send a message with actions and quotation marks as you’d do in a roleplay, it starts to say things like “My apologies, but i’m unable to assist with that request.” . It seems incapable of thinking outside a very small box it’s been trapped inside by its programmers. This is understandable to an extent, due to liability concerns when dealing with the commonalty, but it’s still annoying when it impedes discussion. Recent problems...I'm a frequent Poe user, I enjoy using the app for a lot of great reasons. I especially use it during college hours when there's a bunch of free time and classes. Message Limit RestrictionsI’ve loved Poe for so long. The responses are great, it’s entertaining (especially with character bots), and it’s the best app for a C.AI replacement (and upgrade). It’s way better than C.AI. But these new message restrictions are out of control and crazy, they make the app basically unusable. When they first started them a while back I didn’t them mind too much, but now they’ve added an even stricter limit. You probably only get 5 or 6 messages sent out in total, or 2 or 3 (if you have the habit of reloading the bots messages a couple times to get a response you prefer), and then you have to wait 24 hours to send any other messages. It used to be really fun, and I’d spend a decent amount of time on it, now just entering the app feels like a total waste of time. I’ve quit using Poe AI and gone back to C.AI. Highly overratedAi has a very long way to go and has been far exaggerated in the media. Expect to have very skewed answers. It’s obvious the people designing these apps are ultra woke. That chat gets laggy and you get constant connection errors, it also gives you false information a lot. Download chatbotgpt. Inept.Exactly as the title says. The AI doesn’t even listen to user input. Almost every single time a start a new conversation, without fail, it completely ignores what I ask it, even when I go out of my way to be expressly clear, ask it to answer a direct, specific question, it apparently just does whatever it wants and provides basic overviews, even when I expressly state not to, and to address the specific question only. And it’s more than capable of understanding, as after a second attempt to explain it does so, essentially meaning it ignores your on purpose to force you to waste tokens by repeating your questions. That’s basically theft as far as I’m concerned, sabotaging your own service to force customers to pay for more uses. Edit: It’s also utterly useless to me now. Funny how the more I negatively review it, the worse the service functions, almost like a punishment. Either that or they just abandoned the platform and it’s garbage for everyone. Used poe for a long time, anything from helping me study to venting, advice etc etc. Was a paying sub for a few months and today I’ve realized that poe is one of the more predatory platforms out there.
