InsightfulThis platform, Quora is a really good platform for having conversations about different things with different people all over the place. I really enjoy reading it because it gives me insight and other peoples opinions from their own life experiences. Like I’ve read things where somebody was being sentenced to go to prison and they’ve never been to jail or locked up ever in their life and now they’re going to prison and they’re gonna do some serious time and they are worried about what may happen to them when they go to prison, should they be worried, how should they behave, is it a resemblance of a prison movie they gave seen? So you can be sure that there’s somebody on here that’s reading that, that has spent many years if not decades behind the fence that will tell you or give you the best advice that they can from their own personal experience being behind the fence. So unlike (X) formally Twitter which is actually my favorite platform out there because it’s a good free speech platform, the only free speech platform I believe that is out there, you can only say a few sentences and then you can’t say anymore because it’s just a small tweet, unless you pay money for a subscription, but I like this because you can pretty much write as much as you want on here. So I have to say that my two favorite platforms would have to be (X) formally, Twitter and this very platform QUORA! I learned my lesson the hard wayI meet this guy on Facebook. He has so many names. We texted for about 3 months. He started asking for money. He worked on a rig had several guys working under him. He told me about all this money he had. And needed me to open bank accounts. I new then he was a scammer. But I keep talking to him. I never opened any accounts. Then he started asking for cards because he couldn’t open his accounts to get to any money. One lie after another. I sent him over $5,000 over 2 years. A machine broke under his employee (called his boys). Now to make a long story short they would not let him off the rig until he paid for it. So the ships boss told him get off the rig and the boss took all his money. He says he traveled home to Germany. I gave him cards to help him home. Now he wants to come home to marry me. Another lie. I have been sending him money for months to come home for months. He never arrives. This last time I sent him cards and he is suppose to arrive tomorrow. I know he’s a scammer and I’ve told him many times cussed him out. I don’t love him anymore for what he has done to me. This will be the last time if he don’t show up this time I’m done with Gods help I will be just fine. I was so stupid to believe him. All you women be careful don’t fall into these traps. They are all scammers. I’m single and I love my life without a man. And I’m going to stay that way. Don’t fall for all the crap they say. Registered Nurse with psychiatric employment.It takes two to have a “disagreement” that turns into a perfect storm! I know there is abuse everywhere, but it has become a unwritten rule that men can’t participate in the brawl. There are so many ways that men or women can abuse each other. Men are not created equal in dealing with a woman when things get heated. They are supposed to stand tall and take it. Men have been abused in their childhood, and the hurt they feel is just the same or worse than a woman’s, they are supposed to keep a “stiff upper lift”. Women are experts at saying horrible things to men and pushing them to their limit. The results of that are many, many times placed completely on the man. The woman can cry and pout and sniffle their way so they can play victim. Be honest girls, that it something that girls learn early in life. Boys and men don’t have a chance in many of these brawls. I want to make it clear, I am not including a person that is in a psychotic state. That, of course, is different. Also cases in which a person does not know what they are doing. The lesson here is to stop and walk away as fast as you can. Don’t get trapped in that type of relationship. Going for a psych evaluation when you get to the point that you feel your relationship is going to lead to marriage, is always a good idea. Psychiatric problems need to be openly discussed. Where he finds his greatest strength and joy. As he arrived at his Hebrew school for children and teenagers we quickly said I love you to be directly clear of our commitment to our friendship we ended the conversation and there it was, this story of Enzo, the dolphin and his daughter. I began to cry and I am still crying because I know as clearly as I write this message, I Am Alive ! Breathing, thinking and feeling….. just as the dolphins live ,Levi ,his beautiful wife , students, family and You who read these words. All because the Lord God has blessed us all with life at this very moment. The same life that permits, teaches , inspires and encourages us to make the most of our days. Frustrating to NavigateAfter having used the Quora app for about two years, I have come across a few annoying issues that really ruin the experience of the app. Firstly, every time I open the app, I have to wait for the app the respond to my touches. It can take anywhere from around 10 seconds to almost 20 seconds. I don’t know what it’s doing in the background, but it’s annoying. Next, when I want to search for a question, it seems to freak out and freeze the whole app. It opens the keyboard, and I can type on it, but there is a massive delay from when I press a key to it being displayed on the screen; it only happens when I open the app after not using it for a while. Next, very often when I am scrolling down through my feed and I tap on the “read more” on an answer, it doesn’t respond to my touch as if the read more button doesn’t exist. I can tap and tap as many times I want, but it will not open the answer. Tapping on the answer itself does nothing either. This happens randomly and I don’t know why or what triggers it. The last issue is the most annoying of them all. When I’m reading the comments, and I accidentally swipe left or right just a little bit, the whole app with hang and not respond at all. I have to manually close the app and reopen it again so it can work. These issues sometimes hold me back from even opening the app. Overtime, it seems that more problems are being made than fixed with every new feature update..Version: 8.2.11
I BelieveI completely understand to an extent because it’s my spirit that I’ve been everywhere but The moon and seen everything but the wind. When I was very young in a human body at least this one I always felt there was something wrong with the world it was strange to me as though whatever was going on wasn’t adding up in my head. With this I always went against the grain as each day past I’ll learned less. I learned less about what they were teaching in schools and listening to the other sheep but I was learning more about myself. Later on in life my parents that I had a chemical in balance in my head and they wanted to take me to a psychologist. After refusing every time to acquiesce I decided to pick up books and start reading about psychology which led to history which led the philosophy which read G geography which led to economics wishing you name it I read them all and then one day I finally closed all the books and said you know what there’s nothing wrong with me there’s something wrong with the world and the people that live in it. So literally the past year everything I learned that I didn’t really understand why I was learning it started coming full circle asI began to put pieces together. Because the the mass never add it up. It’s funny you take one semester your whole life and trigonometry and you pick ace circle 2 Dimensional Circle out of a history book and Collett planet earth This gave you qualifications to laugh at people like me with all your friends as though I am the one that’s an idiot well guess who got the last laugh.Version: 8.2.6
I love this app so muchThis app is taught me a lot of stuff and allows me to share things that I have learned along the way, but apparently I love this app so much whoever is paid due disassemble my life and stock me and do all kinds of nasty things that fall under the category of target somebody for being a real one and standing up against evil and the deep state, apparently I accidentally showed my penis to a 16-year-old and then I realized I did when I read her profile and immediately tried to delete the pictures and I apologized and told her I did not realize her age when she was on some other space asking men for pictures. So it was a mistake, but whoever thinks that they can modify and manipulate my page temporarily took away my ability to leave comments and I despised you for that, luckily I deactivated my account and then reactivated it and that took the obvious hack away from the app. This is awesome and I’ll continue to use it if you want to reach out to me you can find me at. George RichardsPoor is fine for incidental information that can be shared among individuals. It’s a terrible terrible platform when it comes to dispensing information with people that have severe illnesses particularly mental ones. Advice given by other individuals with mental disorders to people with mental disorders, hardly qualifies as a platform that should be used with a mental disorder. Take bipolar disorder for example which I used to deal with for decades before getting rid of it. The fact that I’ve been able to walk away from bipolar disorder, hardly makes me an expert on it. Furthermore, the opportunity and chance of walking away from the illness is so remote, that I can hardly say people can do it too because most likely they can’t. And so far as medication go, the constant recommendation that people take medication that they are taking which work for them without having any kind of medical license to understand what the particular situation is for the other person who is looking for some sort of medication to help them, not be coming from someone who is not medically licensed. Seem to care about that. They’ll let anyone offer medication to anyone without any kind of review that I’ve been able to see that alone should be brought onto some sort of investigation by people who can, as third parties cut out anyone offering medication to anyone who is not licensed to do so or given opinion and what may best work for any given individual. That is the greatest weakness of this particular platform in my opinion, and it is a very serious weakness..Version: 8.4.28
No one wanted dogsI have probably had 30 or more dogs in my lifetime that I can remember from the age of five years old to my current age being in my 70s. Every animal cats and dogs came to us as nobody wanted them they were strays. My husband service dog was a dog found behind Bob wire That you could count every bone he had in his back and ribs. He had marks and marks and scrapes and he wasn’t even three months old. That area found was known pitbull fights. After two tries of promises broken by the VA here in Tampa Rambo became my husband service dog. I still have Rambo sort of my service dog now we both had. Hard times when my husband passed away 4 1/2 years ago and it still missed today. He’s old now but and his youth he did protect one of our grandchildren and a blind friend from a neighbor’s dog mixed long hair Chihuahua coming into attack them. Every dog we had was good. Even a dog that showed up at our shop that couldn’t bark ugly as sent and nasty dirty. We took him home and a week later he got hit by a car, saving my mother’s life putting the garbage out on the side of the road. Quora reviewI have generally enjoyed reading Quora. The ancient history section is particularly interesting for me. Today I read an interesting piece on politics called the White Elephant in the Room which discussed how people in forum should take a breath and relax and show respect and truly read what colleagues are saying. He suggested people might actually change their opinion on certain matters. I remember when I would drive from my home in New York to Yale University, I would listen to an Evangelical channel. My colleague it’s whom I shared an office asked me why. I need to know what people of a very different opinion think The section on education is overly repetitive, and most of the questions could be answered by a simple google. Though there is a great deal of repetition in general, there are some interesting points and opinions. I don’t know if this site has an administrator (which it needs for the repetitive questions) or works by some algorithm. Anyway, no one is forced to respond to every question that might be one’s area. The atmosphere is relaxed and have not seen any disrespect or nastiness that are part of other forums..Version: 7.1.6
Loving QuoraWow, just discovered it a few weeks ago and already it proves too much of a distraction! It’s given me many occasions to reflect on an issue that I know is important but maybe don’t know very much about -I have a particular blind spot re: Latin America - or it’s something I have studied but perhaps haven’t thought about in a while and thus am forced to collect my thoughts before answering. I’ve made some surprising discoveries doing that! It sometime shows me how or how much my views might have changed - strengthened in cases, weakened in others. I’ve had some very rewarding exchanges with people here. Happy to report something I wrote was apparently funny enough to make a stranger on the other side of the world pee her pants! I’ve also come across, unfortunately some disturbing questions or comments - most of which just show how deeply polarized a society can be. And then there have been a few intentionally provocative (in an ugly way) statements that I did not restrain pen or tongue long enough prevent me from replying with an uncivil post — a few of which have been deleted by the admins, appropriately in my view..Version: 6.0.8
The problems seem to get worse overtimeAs much as I like Quora, its constant issues are annoying. Some of my answers get collapsed randomly for having “adult” or “sexual content” when it doesn’t have any. I edited one of my posts that had been out for 4 months and it got collapsed 3 minutes later for no reason at all. No matter how much work I put behind something, it doesn’t seem to matter if it gets collapsed or deleted for having a certain content that it doesn’t. I’m not the only one it happens to either. The chat is also messed up, I can’t stay in the same direct message with someone without having to reload the site because it gets slow and has an error the more that is typed. That has been a problem for over a year and I thought it would be fixed by now. Also, recently I’ve noticed a good portion of my answers and posts are blurred and I really don’t know why, and I’ve seen it on other peoples answers too. It’s getting harder and harder to want to use this broken site and I’m honestly questioning if it’s worth it due to all the constant random problems..Version: 8.4.26
Quora ReviewConsidering the massive data the Quora team handles on a daily basis, I have to hand it to the team... Hats off to you guys! I have experienced some minor issues, such as, loss of views to some questions I’ve answered. That’s okay, I’m sure it wasn’t intentional. I’m not crying over spilled milk. On a more important note, Quora Digest provides great opportunities to format or expound on information. We live in great times! An individual does not necessarily require a schooled degree. An individual can offer another perspective simply by the defining and refining of unique life experiences. It is interesting to question topics of interest, only to discover the limit of another’s perception, unique experience, or expertise of knowledge in a particular interest. Simply, a spectacular way of broadening horizons. Not only does the questionnaire’s range of biases take on new perspectives.. whether it be through personal advice or gaining knowledge of some sort, the person responding, as well, has the ability to challenge their own perspectives, biases, prejudices, and judgments. Quora is a place where.. not only empathy can be taught and understood, it can provide a place for personal growth. Maybe, I can exemplify correlating a question to a gemstone; a gemstone in its raw and unpolished state has the inherent capability to produce magnificence. A gemologist, through meticulous and careful attention, takes the gem from a raw state to define its natural beauty during the cutting and polishing process, as its takes on many lovely facets and fire. Each gemstone produced may hold its own unparalleled or exceptional quality. Now, there is no denying what the “diamond in the rough” has undergone to unveil its finished result and effect, leaving the beholder, hopefully, satisfied and well pleased..Version: 7.0.0
Why not 5 starsI like the app. The idea of people being able to use their experiences to assist others is a good one, because anecdotal experiences can be useful. Scientific data is not always readily available or understood as to why people feel what they do when in a narcissistic relationship, for example, or advice on how to let family members know about one’s practice of cross dressing, both of which topics I have seen addressed with compassion on the site. Lately, moderators have seemed to have vanished. Hate speech and outright lies about ethnic minorities, certain politicians in the USA and the United Kingdom abound, and the site’s rules of conduct are not implemented. It’s definitely gone downhill, but quality answers can still be found. It’s not like searching for gold in a dung heap, but it’s a frequent challenge to avoid trolls and others who like to inflict havoc with wild abandon. Quora has its uses. I hope that it will become more useful again and less wasteful of participants ’ expertise for the sake of clicks and advertising, no longer pandering to the people used to frequent sites that were rightly banned..Version: 8.4.26
Room for improvement, but interesting/thought provokingI like to open up Quora when I have a moment to read and I end up taking several moments! It is very interesting to get many different perspectives from various people with different backgrounds. I believe that some of the quality of answers has gone down and some members have turned more to polarizing and provoking the other members (ie trolling and baiting) than there used to be. I think more people used to be open and would give fair, thoughtful, informative answers and I felt like I could more or less trust that the answers came from a place of good intent. Now it seems that, more than ever, there are people that spout off their opinion as if it is fact and don’t really care to listen to other people’s views or consider anything other than their own perspective, thus causing unnecessary and uncomfortable altercations that should have no place in civilized discussion. I used to like Quora more because it seemed to be more civilized. I still do enjoy it quite a bit, but I think that the members should refrain from being too stubborn and snotty about their opinions and recognize that they are just that-opinions. If you want to state something as fact, then prove it! Otherwise sit down, shut up, and don’t bully others into acceptance. That’s not going to help your cause anyway! I don’t think it should be on the moderators to oppress people but people should be able to behave and govern themselves better..Version: 8.4.26
Love bugs and how to avoid blindnessIt’s good to give a personal opinion and blow off steam. But wouldn’t it be better if it was more direct and personal. The name of the business and people involved should be clearly defined so that it’s not taken out of context. And before anyone comments they should read some positive comments and negative comments so that they are more aware of the situation. A reader would definitely be helpful because they read it as it is written avoiding blindness and ignorance of word play like use your imagination on my first line and what I could have done differently or given the wrong impression. A handshake is a agreement in my area it’s not the same in other areas it’s a insult in some areas. Because of this issue I can’t even write a bible right or left. Word play and assumptions is like saying that revaluation is happening now and has been for two thousand years when I was born. So I know what it’s like to send a email that may leave the corporate office and be shared to other countries. I have experience and I offered a solution to Human Resources and it was not accepted and it was even unappreciated. They didn’t have ketchup and you know what I offered in 1999 to the Human Resources. It was actually what I used to get my wife a good job that she had quit on after a single day but the point was clear on her resume I added pictures that today we call them emoji and I wanted emoji to help describe the emotions for better communication and understanding in emails like a safety alert that may have helped locally but been misinterpreted other places. Love bug season is here be shore that the windshield is clean and the fluid is full and pumping as it should. That took a total of a few seconds to think of and honest good advice expecially when driving in unfamiliar areas where the love bugs are dominant and it’s at night you could be easily blinded by them bugs that are common in my area of expertise..Version: 8.4.30

I love human interest stories because at my age of 75, I have the time to see more things that need our attention! An example is: I feed the squirrels walnuts & acorns that I gather in parks, driveways, and on county roads. I put them in my driveway and watch them scurry to hide and bury them for the winter. Most people in additions notice the squirrels but have they thought about what they will be able to survive on when the Indiana winter weather gets below zero and they search for food ?? I am retired and these animals will know I’m here for them. They are here and entertain me, and my two housecats , through rain, snow, icy trees, and surly the know we are watching and caring for a little creature of our earth. A lot better then yahoo answersI love that I actually get real answers on this app. On yahoo answers people call you racial slurs for asking a question about Islam or I could ask “what’s the best movie to watch?” And people would tell me to F off or give a sarcastic answer and I would literally have have 28 “answers” on the question and not one of them would actually answer the question and it’s really messed up. Where as here everyone is so much kinder and not many trolls. I love this app it feels like a safe place and I could ask the strangest of questions and not one person would judge me for it. The only problem I have with this is few of my questions are still unanswered and it’s been 8 months. But most of the time they are answered fairly quickly. The other thing is I wish there wasn’t a limit on the number of letters used in the question and I wish is I wish I could comment anonymously. You might be able to but I’ve had this app for a couple of years and still can’t figure out how.❤️I definitely recommend this app tho to anyone. I absolutely love this app..Version: 8.1.16
I would give it a one but I can at least still use the search bar and look at other people’s contentI just got this app recently and everything was going good for the first day I had it. I wrote a question I got an answer almost immediately but the next day I wanted to type another question but I was BLOCKED I still don’t know why and for those wondering my first question was about engineering, nothing inappropriate just engineering, anyway I went to find customer service but the closest thing I found was a search bar for pre-written questions I also looked online and even Quora and they all said that it was probably one of my posts offended someone but the only thing I said on there was a question about how to get started on engineering. If your reading this Quora please help my in someway so I can write questions again then I’ll probably rate 5 stars because besides my problem this app is awesome! Quora keeps erasing my responsesThis has happened to me a couple of times in the past week and just now. Both before and after I upgraded my IPad to iOS 15. So I don’t think the upgrade is to blame. I am typing a response and all of a sudden my keyboard becomes unresponsive. I start tapping different spots in the paragraph just to get the cursor moving. Nothing, then suddenly the cursor will just jump to a spot or end up highlighting everything I just wrote and then everything disappears. All my carefully thought out points to answer the question are gone. It just happened to me a few minutes ago. However this time I was able to take a screen shot of what I wrote in response to a Quora question before it all disappeared. Completely unacceptable. Now I don’t know if this is an Apple issue or a Quora issue but it is certainly is an issue. I would like to point out that this has not happened to me while writing in any other app nor while I am typing this review. Please fix this. I will update my review once it is fixed..Version: 8.3.1
My Review…I love reading Quora. I have been a huge fan for years. I will keep reading all the posts, of course all the posts I wish to read for the foreseeable future. But, I was fired from my job at a High School where I worked for some things I posted on Quora. Now, I should start by stating that my job was as a Paraprofessional. I worked with Special Education in a classroom with children who were autistic or somewhat disabled. I had done this as a substitute teacher and I got a job at our high school. For some reason in the past I posted some risqué items about my anatomy and the HR department at Prosper ISD did not appreciate the information. The head of the HR department said that they could not have an employee of theirs posting anything like this on a social website. So, I was given a choice: quit or be fired. Learning the TruthI enjoy reading the different articles about various people and circumstances. It does definitely appear that this writer has a unique background and shares her actual experiences. She gives us facts gathered from professionals. Many times she lists names or companies that one can obtain pertinent information to their question or whatever assistance she has available to address the comments of her readers. I have learned some interesting facts about people! It is also uplifting to actually read other people’s stories, both positive and negative! Many of the people who write their stories have a message. We can all gain more knowledge, right? Thank you for your unique perspective! Many times the wrier of this column will unveil many aspects of her own life that are applicable or she thinks is appropriate! FineThe previous review was talking about political questions. Unless there was a no politics no religion ban, you will always have conjecture, rhetoric and biased points of view. It is an open forum, and aside from ad hom and foul language, people are free to speak their mind. But there is nothing wrong with an open debate that focuses on politics having spin. People are still given upvotes and if you feel an answer is wrong just don’t follow them, and if people keep upvoting bs block them too. The site is well managed, and while you can find nonsense in there..if you take the time to choose reliable people to interact with, your gonna get more reliable answers. My only qualm would be that people upvote people because of their celebrity and sometimes they make the content secondary to the topic and question. And of course being an open forum there is content that is not accurate. But these people are rarely upvotes and their content is ussually not found on your feed..Version: 5.2.19
Power suckerThe developers really need to work on optimizing this app for power efficiency. It consumes way too much power to keep it running, even in the background (iPhone 6) You can actually watch the battery percentage drop while typing. And, needless to say, my phone gets very hot while using it. I have to quit the app, if I want to preserve battery power for the rest of the day. This is bad programming and not acceptable for an app that just views text and facilitates the editing of text. The other issue is the inability to highlight specific text while editing your post. The app will either scroll all the way up or all the way down. Extremely frustrating and ridiculous. This issue has been going on long enough and makes one wonder if Quora developers actually use the app in the real world. This wouldn’t be so bad if one could enter and format text in another app, perhaps adding style tags, then copy and paste the text within the Quora app and expect it to retain the formatting..Version: 7.0.2
I wonder?I often wonder why I spent so much time reading Quora? I'm an ex broadcast news reporter, which translate in my case to be a news junkie. But Quora is opinions. That being good, bad or indifferent, it is 100% personal opinions. Not based on research, not based on interviews, but instead based entirely on personal opinion. That opinion is sometimes based on solid past experiences and training, but opinion nevertheless. I believe I am drawn to Quora because traditional journalism based on who, what, when, where and why is 85% gone. Sure, there are still examples of crew journalism, and investigative journalism at some major newspapers, and other journalism organizations. But for the most part today's journalism carries little more weight for me then Quora. But at least Quora makes no bones about the fact that they are opinion, even identifing those people making the opinion. Whereas journalism still tries to present itself as fair minded and fact not opinion. I am a leaning left moderate politically and in most of my opinions. I don't pay much more attention to CNN these days, as I do and have to Fox news for the last few years. I enjoy Quora because it is fun to read, and helps me to widen my view on the world issues because of the vastly different opinions on such a long variety of topics. I have a Q about our A.It’s a great app… It’s very simple to use and you do get responses that are at least at the medium to high range of intelligent beings lol. If you do have a question that is or isn’t about some thing mundane or extremely precise like a certain type of speaker for your home theater system, you can ask and you will get some very helpful responses. It’s very underrated because there’s no drama here, or very little. Just by the conversations and the responses you can tell the level of intellect between this app and let’s say Twitter. People don’t come to this app to be malicious. There’s always something interesting going on and some conversation regarding a topic that you always thought of but never discovered the answers to. If you like to learn and you come up against questions that a fellow scientist/explorer/treasure hunter may come up against as well, you may find some help here..Version: 8.4.14
Love Quora, don’t like being forced to the appThe app is great and works great for me. However, when I click an email from Quora to read more, it opens in safari and my feed proceeds there. Lately, not long after I start reading, I get a permanent message window, blocking the rest of the answer, telling me to download the app and preventing me from seeing the rest of the comments I am trying to read. There is no way to clear out of it. When I click to go to the app, it goes to the App Store first. By the time I get to the app, it is not on that question anymore and I don’t get to finish reading what I had started. I need to figure out how to have the email open in the app or there needs to be a way to click out of it or if I click to go to the app, it should continue where I was so I can finish the question I was reading. I couldn’t find a way in the app to leave feedback about this so I left a review here instead..Version: 6.0.2
Good and bad at the same timeWhen I joined Quora I-don’t-know-how-many-years-ago, it was just pure fun reading stories and answers from across the world. Then I discovered the depth of experience and knowledge that existed in Quora, and I started looking for specific information. Next, I started asking my own questions; this had mostly positive results, but sometimes brought out crazy answers and attacks! It only got worse as time went on. I sometimes commented on answers, and gave my liberal opinion on the day’s issues. More craziness came out! I got reported for being offensive and attacking when no such thing occurred! Finally I had enough when I asked a question about Russian efforts/tactics in social media across Europe (hoping to get expert answers from across Europe) and I got a warning from Quora that I could get booted off if I asked such questions! How dare I presume that Russia had social media influencers! Enough! Now, I occasionally check on answers about cats and dogs! Sad that Quora has come to this..Version: 8.2.7
Many More Goods Than BadsI really enjoy people’s answers to questions about many things,. I like the Spanish version; I grew up in Peru and it updates my knowledge about Spanish culture and language. I really like the religion section because I get to talk to people who WANT to talk about religion. Most of my acquaintances in real life don’t want to talk about religion. Even at church we have a set way of talking about things. But on Quora I can talk with many people from all perspectives in life from atheists to conservative believers of all faiths. There is so much to explore there! I tried the app and was ok with it until something changed and the Quora screen would no longer rotate on my iPad. Every other app I had would rotate so I think it is the Quora app. I can’t type answers with my head sideways. So I had to delete the app. I guess they have a new version. I guess I should try it. Quora is a really fascinating site: it has most anything under the sun!If you are curious, like things solid, honest & thought provoking, or want to explore UFO’s this is definitely the place to find out what people in many societies and cultures think on any given subject. While I don’t necessarily agree with some individuals, it’s a format where you can find things you have always wondered about but never really got a chance to study or understand … AND, if you like a “story format better than mere bits of knowledge here and there, it’s worth exploring. The only thing that I dislike is that some people are very ‘racist or bigoted,’ and lean toward react first, and over time THAT mode of answering people generates hatred & disrespect for those with different viewpoints and/or life experience. Entire page disappears if you scroll too fastWhenever I quickly scroll down a certain answer or comments thread, and I reach the bottom of the page but accidentally keep scrolling (with my finger), the entire page rises up from the bottom of the screen and disappears into the top of the screen, thus bringing me right back to the page that I was on before. This has the exact same effect of closing the page by clicking the big “X” at the bottom of the screen. But, if I wanted to close out of a page and go back to the previous page, I would have hit the huge “X” at the bottom of each page. It’s very frustrating when you encounter a long answer that you don’t want to read, or get stuck in a long comments thread that you want to skip over; and so you scroll down really fast to get to the next answer/comment thread, but accidentally end up scrolling too much and the page you were on ‘lifts up’ and disappears entirely as if you had closed out of it using the “X” at the bottom. *PLEASE* enable some kind of scrolling control that allows users to scroll quickly down/up a page without accidentally closing out the page. Most other apps will allow you to keep scrolling even when you’ve reached the bottom of a page (ex: it will still show the scrolling motion but the page just won’t go anywhere) without the page disappearing on you like it does with Quora. It’s annoying having the page disappear and losing my place in an answer/comment thread just because I accidentally scrolled too fast or too vigorously down the page..Version: 5.2.23
Needs better moderation of users and questions.The app itself is great, but a few users are complete jerks - and that’s putting it nicely! I’ve been using the app for a couple months now, answering hundreds of questions to the best of my knowledge and personal experience, but once in a while I get comments from people who are far beyond just flat out rude. I had a woman just the other day comment literally saying(I’d post a screenshot here if they were allowed): “You have no idea what you’re talking about!”, then proceeded to report my answer! Why? Simply because she was “professional licensed” in the topic of the question and I wasn’t. NOWHERE in my answer did I claim to be a professional, but I had stated I DID HAVE a fair amount of experience in the topic to make me qualified to answer, yet people like her think others have no business answering questions they don’t have a degree in. I went ahead and checked her other answers and comments only to find out she’s no less condescending to most other people - even when answering questions herself! Moderators need to be far more thorough with reports by also looking into who is DOING the reporting and not just who was reported. Fortunately, after writing out a rather long and detailed appeal, my answer was allowed back up, but this only brings up the concern that moderators should explain WHY answers and comments were reported, not just tell me “it goes against Quora policy”. I shouldn’t have to defend my honest legitimate answers against other users who are just being ignorant and selfish. Secondly, another huge problem is the excessive amount of repetitive questions being asked. There IS a rule that people are supposed to make sure their question hasn’t already asked before submitting them, but so many people ignore it. Can’t the app be updated to automatically recognize when questions are too similar - or even written exactly the same, then recommend the original question to them? This would save a lot of trouble for us - and I’m sure your own moderators - with their reports..Version: 8.3.2

Good but not policedQuora is an excellent place for advice and knowledge but it is a dangerous place too. People who lie about certain issues remain on this platform and chronically misinform those who don’t do independent checks. Complaints do not get them removed. If you ever see “comments disabled” you can be confident that you are being lied to, unless there a given reason why the comments were disabled. Quora quality and issuesAs with any potential news source you take everything with a grain of salt. Far too many bots with nonsensical, idiotic questions. But once in a while you find gold.
