HelpfulSo I have dozens of old coins and this was helpful. I did the free trial and the only reason I giving it 5 stars is that no one will listen if I gave it 1 star. I cancelled my subscription days before my free trial ended and yet still got charged for the app, I took a screenshot showing that I cancelled this and have tried to contact customer service, sent 3 emails and nothing. The app may be helpful however the customer service on this app is absolutely terrible. Doesn’t explain or give an actual worth amount of your coins!Unless I am doing something wrong but how do I know exactly what my count is worth. All It gives you is a dollar range. The other sellers who have the same exact coin choose what to sell it for??? That doesn’t make any sense? If the dollar range is $100-$1,0000 for what the coin is worth, that’s a pretty big range as to know what it’s worth, what to sell it at or even buy one?? This needs to be more accurate. Solid and the information layout is easy to use for novices……I would like to suggest the ability to reposition the on screen shutter button to wherever the user finds it most comfortable to press. That would be a huge help. So would a countdown timer which would help when lining up the coins and getting the green ring. Pretty Good So FarI’ve been using the app since March. It’s pretty good so far. I’m successfully able to identify the coins that I have. When I list a coin, I look at how other people sell the same coin in a certain price range. So I use said price range to determine what price to list the coins at. Customer service is always able to help me when I don’t understand something. The only problem is that customers do reach out to me asking for history, condition, shipping, & payment, & even though I do provide them with it, they never respond. I know that users of the app communicate with each other via email. There was even one person who couldn’t receive my message because his iCloud storage was full & the message failed to send. The app is pretty good, but if I’m going to make sales, communication with customers is very important..ZJG30Version: 1.4.0

Helpful but not helpfulThe app does a great job of identifying coins. They provide only a range of values starting at close to face value up to thousands. You can create multiple collections which is helpful. I was told that I would receive an email to cancel my free trial or to continue to a paid subscription which would have been helpful. App Does Work / Predatory SubscriptionThe app does what it says, I even through some curveballs with mid century and early 1900s silver half dollars and dollars and it was able to accurately tell me what it was. However the pricing feature is more of a guess. I know my coins are valued over 50k but the price said $10-$100,000. Literally could not be any more vague. Beware of FraudI was interested in purchasing this app for buying and selling coins. My experience in just a few weeks was not so good. There were lots of listings for coins I was interested in and I must’ve contacted over 100 of them with only three or four responses at most. I purchased three coins and two of the three were fraud. They took my money both Venmo and PayPal with no response on one purchase and the other one sent me mail with no CoinIn in it. When I responded to the buyer he said I’ll look into it and never heard from him. I contact customer service and they don’t respond back. Then they finally do and say they’ll look into it but the problem is there’s no customer protection on this platform. There’s no seller ratings and they do nothing about these people that scam people like myself. On eBay you have a seller rating and protection as a buyer on this page they offer none at your own risk. I’m still trying to get to the bottom with them what they can do to solve this and I hear no response from them. I send multiple emails with details and pictures and I get no answers? The ad advertisement makes it look very easy to sell and buy which is not true. UPDATE: After I wrote this I was contacted back by customer service. They were very nice and understanding. They have looked into my fraud and helped me with my requests. Hopefully things will be fixed in the future with marketplace but feel much better with customer service. SCAM!!!!Beware downloading these apps because they’ll still charge you the $9.99 for it even when you cancel it!!! They offered a 7 day trial, that’s the only way I was able to use the app. I opted in for the 7 day trial, tested the app, and cancelled it the same day. I was still able to use it until may 1st but I didn’t use it anymore. I started getting a $9.99 charge out of nowhere and looked it up and saw they were trying to charge me for the app that I cancelled. I called apple and they’re trying to scam me saying that I downloaded the app on April 4th when I downloaded it April 24th and have the email to prove it. I even have the screenshot of me cancelling the subscription with the date on it. I told apple it was a 7 day trial and if I owed any money I would’ve been charged before may 1st. They wouldn’t listen, kept lying saying I downloaded it on April 4th when I didn’t even have a phone April 4th because I got it replaced and 2 weeks before that it was sitting on my counter broken until I got the money to replace my phone. They continued to say my Apple ID was used for a different date and it wasn’t. They’re trying to make me pay for the app and put in for a refund that I won’t get back because they’ll come up with another excuse on that. Subscription won’t cancel /charged 13 days after 1st chargeI paid a promotional $10 to try the app for 7 days… after that it is $25. Well, I couldn’t get the camera app to focus on a single coin which was what made me want to try it in the 1st place. So on the 6th day of the trial. I went on the app to cancel and got directed to the link that you press to cancel your subscription. And when I clicked on the link, it would say there was an error. I kept trying that night and it would not work so I emailed customer support explaining all of this and I still have not received an email back and that was almost 2 1/2 weeks ago… well nobody returned my message and guess what I got charged $25 for the standard subscription price which made me mad, but I just wanted to be done with this app and I never did get my subscription to cancel and nobody ever called me back and 13 days later I get another charge for $25 so I guess they charge people every 13 days? which makes no sense at all. So they’ve got $60 for me and I have not been able to use the app one time. Waste of timeI’ve been a collector for over 30 years and this does nothing it says it does. I tried this on everything from early 1900 era to modern day coins. Most were US based. The only thing it EVER got right was the type of coin. The years, value, specifications were all very vague. The developers seriously need to do some work if they expect it to work like advertised. APP IS HORRIBLE!Seeing all the negitive reviews idk how this app has the 4-5 star rating it shows in the App Store. I downloaded it based on that rating and tried it out. First thing I did was scanned a penny from 1996.. I took CRYSTAL CLEAR photos.. with NOTHING ELSE in the background .. and took the photos of the front and back of the coin multiple times.. each time the app said it was a 1/4 dollar or a “quarter” from 1998 lol. Worthless GarbaUnless you’re just looking to catalog your coins, this app does nothing for you. It’s a shame and disgrace that it is allowed to stay in the App Store. Almost $10 a week for what? No real buyers as far as I can tellThe app constantly notifies me that “There is interest in a coin you have listed” but when I click the notification it just shows me a bunch of other people’s listings for coins of similar type. I can not find how to connect with any potential buyer to make a sale. And furthermore, I have multiple listings of coins, but the app says I am not logged in. So when I log in all my listings disappear. I presume those listings are under my phone account and the “Logged in” account is connected to my email. But there is no way to merge accounts and no way figure out if my “main” account is even able to sell coins (how do people contact me?) although I am sure CoinIn will be able to figure out how to bill me. Optimistic, but disappointedI’ll start by saying the app is easy to use and looks nice. I recently found a couple of coins that when researched had the potential of being worth a decent amount. However, when scanned with the app, the discerning features were not recognized. Search is horribleThe functionality of taking photos and creating collections is great, but searching for coins and trying to get a coin value are the most important functions of a coin app like this, and CoinIn severely lacks the ability to search, and when I do find a coin, the estimated value is completely useless as it doesn’t even come close to all other sources that I compare. Also, when a coin is found by photo, all i get is a generic “US 1 Dollar” name, rather than Morgan Dollar, Peace Dollar, or American Eagle Walking Silver Dollar. Advertising is misleadingI would see marketing videos for this app all the time on social media that show the user being able to identify the coins, its value, and being able to sell it through the app. They don’t advertise it like this on the App Store, but on social media it shows this all the time and you cannot sell a coin through this app. It is not a selling platform. It just identifies and gives you a value that sometimes is around the mark on what someone might pay for. Very poor accuracyI am using this app to assist identifying Roman coins. The coins I have are hard to read due to wear and age. I took photos of the most legible coins in my collection, but none of the results the app gave me matched my coin. This app contains no context and uses no tools that are required for identifying ancient coins. So confusedI see a lot of great reviews but I had a terrible experience with the app. It couldn’t even identify the most basic of coins properly for me. After it got some rare coins extremely wrong, I tried to have it recognize some basic coins and it wasn’t even correct for some of those. Just no…A subscription cost for something that cannot even identify the coin correctly. Every single attempt to identify the coin failed, and the coins were photographed under a very good light with very good legibility of the numbers. Also I think it’s important to note how misleading the advertising is. The ad showed how it would tell you the price after you scan a coin. That is completely a lie, you scan and it gives you a market value listing and then you have a chance to sell your coin and maybe get someone to buy it. Shady company I wouldn’t work with these guys. No customer satisfactionAfter the trial ends, it will automatically start billing you. I never even used this app. Not one time I requested to refund the refund status to complete that customer was refunded. yet I never received a refund back to my bank. I called Apple support. They said sometimes it can take up to 30 days for to get back into my bank account. I’m familiar with the process of refunding a customer being on the seller side.. It’s not a good look. Could Be Better if..App works really well without any effort with one click you can determine what type of coin you have, though the average cost is far from correct because a 2006 Quarter Dollar can’t be worth $5 - $2000. Also after just 4 snaps of 4 coins to do more you need to subscribe for a ridiculous amount, I was only allowed to scan ONLY 4 coins, deleted app for that. Billed before trial endedI was billed by CoinIn. Even before my trial ended the day after I started it for 499. I even had emailed their customer Support and said that I wanted to cancel my subscription and I did not want to continue. Poor scanning and identificationFirst 4 out of 5 coins scanned were wrongly dated, (ie. called my 1945 half dollar a dollar), very difficult - even in good lighting - to get a good clear image. App doesn't seem to make use of auto-focus ability of the camera, rather you manually move closer or farther, and/or use a digital zoom slider. Once a coin is wrongly identified, even after manually correcting, any data shown for the coin is still for the incorrectly identified coin, which is also annoying. Gimmicky. Not very goodI tried it out with the free trial and was excited to see what it could do. I started scanning coins and it would accurately pick up the date but then the info would say it was 30-40 years older than the date on the coin. Like other reviewers stated, it was vague at best. It doesn’t even use my iphone 11’s hd camera is purposely keeps the camera at a much lower quality (very sus) and it got my 1975 coin wrong and said it was 1955. TrashThere are 40k positive reviews that are clearly fake. I should have looked closer at the reviews rather than just trusting the 5 star rating. Cool idea, poor execution.I like the idea of being able to virtually organize my coin collection, keep track of values etc. I don’t however like the fact that even in the “free” version of the app you only get what 4 scans before it prompts you to subscribe to the paid version. I understand there’s a development team that needs to be paid, but you should just use ads. No one wants to pay 70$ to be able to store pictures of coins and possibly maybe sell them to make money.
