OkayBought this app for playing the base game of Munchkins to help with near-constant counting of bonuses during fights (especially ones where other Munchkins are trying to boost my enemies). That being said, the Boons are beautiful. They have saved me a time or two along with the beautiful cacophony of groans. Other than that, this app is less than stellar. The level 1-10 Counter is useless aside from the Boons and if maybe you lost your game board. Really bought this with the intention of being a quick way to add items and essentially be my digital ‘character sheet’ to keep my total power number readily available. Really thought that in 2-3 years, items would have been added. So if you want a simple 1-10 counter with an extra ability designed to extract groans and foul language from your buddies, this is a good app. Just maybe not at $4.99. Mostly happy, but...Don't get me wrong, I like the app, but it is limited. -There is no Munchkin Epic, the Boons are a fun twist and a lovely unfair advantage, but if you just want a counter, get something else. My friends hated this app!So, I thought it would be fun to have because I get the boon during the game, but as soon as I explained this to my friends when we started to play, they refused to let me use it because they said that it was unfair to everyone else. You definately need to make this app so it works for multiple people, rather than just for one person. So, I spent $4.99 and didn't even get to use it because everyone hated that it just benefited me. Steve Jackson Games, don't know if you even look at these, but consider making it work for everyone so everyone can benefit from boons rather than just one person. I am sure the ratings would go up. Nice Start - More MunkinessGreat start fit the app. The booms are great (fantastic art and execution) love taking an unfair advantage any time I can. Love the custom counter idea, but munchkin like backgrounds would be more appropriate (current ones are bland) or maybe themes (based on going up or down). Male & Female specific (with mud game gender change available). The dice rolling is fun (cool animation), need to add 10 sided die (for munchkin quest) as well as bonus's prior to rolling (with appropriate emotions). Other dies would be also be a gray add. Would love to see a mini game as part of the app (war or rock paper scissors munchkin style) and / or a card library (so we can browse when we are not playing or just by ourselves). Awesome app!!!...When it works.IPhone 6s user here. The app tends to not open properly when I need it most. When it does open, I love it and it helps to speed up my turn. It is totally legal for use in all versions of Munchkin (read the rules people) and the longer you wait to use your boon the better it is! It not only counts your levels but it also counts the strength you are fighting at and the strength of the monster you are fighting (just one monster though). There is also a dice rolling feature (by the way, when playing Munchkin always have a 20 sided die in your pocket...You'll thank me later). Pretty basic and user friendly with some funny Artwork as well. You will learn to love the sound of the chime that accompanies leveling up. The combat bonus counter is worth it.I really find this app a useful addition to my Munchkin collection. I purchased before the update and thought it well worth the price for the Boons. A boon has saved my life on more than one occasion. Now that it has an additional counter to track your combat bonuses as well as a monster's, it's awesome. Most expensive app I've ever boughtYes, it's a little on the spendy side. Yes, you'll buy it to get a very Munchkinly leg-up on the competition. With a mystery "boon" per game, a level counter, and a die roller, you have everything you need to play Munchkin except the cards and some buddies to stab. It's not that its bad, just...If you haven't caught on - the "counter" is for one player's levels, no gear. To that end, it brilliantly adds up 1 + 1 + 1 for you. I can't help but think that this is in reality a real life munchkin curse card, since when playing a game, there's usually more than just 1 person playing, and, at some point, you will acquire gear. Great way to keep track of combat levels/strengthI purchased this app because I run many Munchkin games, and this is the best thing for keep track of combat strength for both side during a battle - especially when the counts get up to Munckin 43 vs Monster 46. When the cards aare flying into battle for both sides it would be easy to lose track of who is winning and by how much. But sadly this app does not play nice with iOS 9! More than a level counter!!!!Sure this thing has a level counter. In fact it has 5 different built in level counters and custom ones. The ability to roll a d6 is a great bonus. Very PriceyI gotta say that I'm disappointed in this app. I'm also a player of Magic: Tge Gathering and for usually no more than .99c you can get apps that keep track of 8 players life totals and poison counter as well as commander damage. Good but not great....The boons are cool, but there not really useable if your the only one in the game with an iPhone. The dice roller is awesome. Wunderbar!Downloaded this the other night for a game with friends, it so much fun to use. the sound effects are cute, but the dice roller was my favorite part of the program. we had 7 people at the table and since the dice in these types of games are few it was easier to roll my die on my phone than wait for the dice to come around. the one downside i saw, and which im giving it 4 out 5 stars is that its not designed to handle more than one person. it would have been cooler if it had a mode that allowed for keeping track of the whole game..NyQuil913Version: 1.3

It's sad that it doesn't work completely.I get the Boon, and many people seem to complain about it. In Munchkins there are many boons you can purchase. It's part of the game. So complaining it isn't fair is ignorant of the gameplay. However, it is supposed to have a functional "custom" mode that would allow you to play with house rules or modify it to look a little more like any of the other booster versions of the game. But it crashes 100% of the time when you try to select the number font. This has been reported many times and hasn't been addressed. I don't like paying so much for a product that fails to load properly. Too bad apple doesn't let you refund AppStore purchases. Not worth it.This does very little for me. Got it because of an add in Munchkin Booty (pirate version). Doesn't have a choice for that specific version but I figured I'd make a custom.
