Walgreens App Comments & Reviews
Walgreens Positive Reviews
Good and badI’ve used Walgreens photo app for a few years now. It’s convenient and fairly easy to navigate. However, most times it takes FOREVER to upload, which is an issue if your phone sleeps before its finished. The color is typically good and photos are clear, which is why I gave three stars. My biggest issue is that so much of the picture is cut off each time. I’ve been told to go to the crop option and adjust the edges, but it still doesn’t help. For example, a few of my students wanted a selfie of us. We knew those on the edges would have a tiny bit cut off, but on the original it’s a little hair not in the frame. Even after checking the crop feature to make sure the frame was as large as possible, it cut the people off on each side so much that we each had half a face! Seriously, it went from being fully in the picture (minus a little hair), to each of us having the entire side of our faces, including one eye and half a nose, completely gone. My six year old students have been very disappointed. This has been an ongoing issue with multiple photos. Walgreens employees have not been successful in helping, so something needs done farther up in the co. Lastly, why can’t an order be saved, so if it glitches everything isn’t lost? Again tonight I spent over an hour editing over a hundred photos. When I clicked next it glitched and was gone. Because of this, I changed it to two stars. This has happened WAY too many times..Version: 35.0
Truly helpful, excellent navigationKudos to Walgreens for building an intuitive app that keeps getting better. The competition’s app is very good in some ways, but not as good as Walgreens’. For prescriptions, I like that they have a box for special requests. Even if it’s a feature you won’t need often, it’s nice that it’s there so you don’t have to call (which would sometimes require waiting until the next day if the pharmacy is closed). And after an rx is filled, it says right at the top exactly how long it will be held, which is useful when your schedule suddenly changes. And there’s even a clear picture of the med — the specific version you’ll be getting, even if it’s a generic — so there are no surprises. On the shopping side there are thoughtful features like asking you, if you have selected a new location, whether you want that as your new default store, or just for “this task.” And — while Walgreens certainly isn’t the only merchant that has done this — I like that you can toggle it to show only stores that have the item in stock. And notifications show what store your rx or order is ready at (or being prepared at), which at least once has led me to realize I forgot to change the location when I’d intended to. The app can be buggy or get confused on occasion, but usually it’s smooth. And I do wish store pickup orders didn’t have a $10 minimum (I often have a nice deal or coupon that leaves me at $9.99…), but overall excellent app..Version: 106.0
Horrible customer serviceThe staff is actually nasty completely horrible to deal with. Yes Rx have to be refilled when they are due and not early but when you fill the same Rxs month after month and always call a day or two early to attempt to make sure the medication will be in stock it would be nice if it actually was available when it was due. I call every month a few days before my Rxs are due to order them in advance because they are constantly out of stock. Instead of the pharmacist ensuring the medication will be available I’m basically abused because the pharmacist thinks I am trying to fill narcotic medication early which is not the case I’m only trying to ensure they will be available when needed. When the pharmacist does not ensure I can fill my medication when due I get sick. I have ms a very painful disease in addition I have broken 3 hips my right knee left shoulder and torn my right rotator cuff in the last 18 months. Had 3 hips replaced surgery on my right elbow and right to repair damage done in a fall. Pain is a part of my life and always will be I am also waiting on a bone graft to repair damage to my neck. I expect I will never be pain free and never run out of my medication easily because of overuse but I should not have to deal with drug withdrawal because my Rx medication is not available as needed. Most people on long term pain management are taking the medication because we require it. I am tired of being treated like a criminal because I need my medication to be ready as ordered. SHAMEFUL!!.Version: 59.0
APP is good, needs better integration with pharmacy. As someone new to needing multiple medications I downloaded this to obviously manage it. Still learning the ins and outs of it, but does provide plenty of options. Improvements needed? 1. Need to be able to transfer prescription without having the bottle. IE: Doctor phones in prescription to your pharmacy; when you go to pick it up you find pharmacy is temporarily closed until further notice(nice that there is nothing in place to prevent really needed prescription from going to a pharmacy that is closed) . No way to transfer unless you call the doctor to have them send to a different pharmacy. Narcotic you say? Now my insurance company sees two prescriptions for the same drug on the same day and will not authorize the second one! Preventing me from getting it when actually needing it. 2. I did not realize a drug I no longer needed was on autofill. Within minutes of getting the notice they were going to refill I went and put a cancel request in. 5 days later I am still getting texts, voicemails stating my prescription is ready for pickup. If it wasn’t for the difficulty of reaching the pharmacy by phone? I guess the APP has the same issues. APP has notification preferences that doesn’t work either. Set for no phone calls no emails etc. now they are hounding me for another prescription I don’t need to be refilled. It’s like they want my business but harassing me to the point of driving me away to a different pharmacy..Version: 78.1
Walgreens, 15 N. Buffalo Grove Rd. Buffalo Grove IllinoisThe store is probably worse than any Walgreens I have ever been to instead of giving me my seizure pills they gave me heart medication told me that they wouldn’t give me my actual medication, my seizure preventative meds and so I gave them the proof they messed up back first the store wants you to wait until you run out of medication and then come in and get your pills the day you got them prescribed so wait till you’re out to get them but I’m up epileptic so to expect that is insane. My neurologist wants me to have them picked up a few days early so that I don’t have to panic and make sure that my pharmacy should have my medicines every month or my medication every month especially when you have the same person come for 10 years every month you should be prepared. and then there’s exceedingly long lines extremely large weight and none of these workers know what they’re doing because none of them are tournament. They’re all temporaries so they come in and they’re lost. They don’t know where to start or what to do we need permanent people at this location..!!!! I really hope most people take this review and consideration before going to this location and I really hope corporate can read this message and get some stuff cleaned up at Walgreens. Some of the tech staff want to play doctors when they’re only pharmacy tech. Sincerely Michelle Ryan..Version: 70.3
Pharmacist Julie M is rudeI visited Walgreens because my sister and son were suffering from this dreadful allergy season. The Allegra and Claritin had a card that indicated it must be picked up by the pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist Julie M decides she would go to her internal computer for about 5 minutes while I waited with no one in line. When she came back, I asked her why do I need to pick up allergy medicine from the pharmacy. She curtly replied “it’s the law”. I said but I don’t recall picking up allergy medicine at the pharmacy before and I don’t see it other stores doing that. She replied “I don’t care what other stores do... and I can’t sell you both of the allergy medicine so which one do you want.” I told her I didn’t want anything and walked out. I then went to CVS and asked the pharmacist the same questions. He said the allergy medicine has pseudoephedrine and there was a monthly limit. I then said, didn’t you sell these over the counter - and the pharmacist said, yes, and took me to the over the counter product and explained the difference. As a pharmacist Julie M from Walgreens apparently doesn’t see her job as helping customers understand medicine and acted as if she should not be questioned. She definitely needs to work on her people’s skill. It was not until that experience did I even know there were different type of allergy medicines. It was an education process and thank goodness CVS pharmacist saw that part of his job is to help educate the public about medicine..Version: 6.9
Walgreens — PharmacyI’ve been using Walgreens pharmacy for years. I switched to Walgreens from Eckerds, when they kept messing up our daughter’s heart medication back in 1997. We’ve been with them ever since. Have they been perfect? No! But, through the years, they have been willing to fix their mistakes and do it nicely. It’s only been a handful of times, not often, but they have been so nice about rectifying the mistake. And that means everything to us. Plus, everyone in there is so helpful. In 27 years, I have only had a run-in with one pharmacist and he wasn’t my regular one. Not even my regular store. My store was out of my Covid vaccine. Another store had it. I made an appt for it. When I showed up for my appt, mind you I had to drive an additional 10 miles because it wasn’t my store, the pharmacist tells me that he has a phone call to take at my appt time. So I will have to make another appt. There were 4 other people working in the pharmacy. When I asked about that he just yelled at me “You have to make another appt, I have a phone conference at 1:00!” Then he proceeded to stand there and talk to another worker (in the pharmacy) for the next 10 minutes about what all she would have to do. Excuse me? You just had plenty of time to give me the shot. It wasn’t my first one. I had to make an appt. I waited a week for my allotted time slot! I was the only one there with an appointment. It really ticked me off. And I told my pharmacist about it. I did not go back. And I will not EVER step foot in that Walgreens again. I ended up getting that Covid vaccine at Kroger in IL. Just so I could stay with Moderna. But, anyway, I love Walgreens!.Version: 73.0
Honestly…I’ve had nothing but trouble since the new year & I don’t know whether it’s because of the App or my particular store (1606 Del Prado Blvd, Cape Coral Fl). First nothing has been synced btwn my “Walgreens” info & my “Walgreens Pharmacy” info so I have issues when trying to use my account at the pharmacy checkout & have to go to the regular checkout anyway. Then there’s the store credit of $50(ish) that can’t be found (I’m taking the receipt in next trip & since I’m there a few times a month easy …) why does it suddenly say I have NO rewards (?!) literally shop there so much I know certain staff by name so how can I have $0 rewards available?! Just found out there’s 2 separate “personal info” categories: 1> my Walgreens 1> my Walgreens pharmacy so now that those are both updated & have the same(correct ) info maybe my issues will be resolved(?). Just saying because you’d think that maybe someone who works there would’ve immediately recognized the problem & known enough to give me a heads up about it so I could avoid spending over an hour inside the App trying to figure it out for myself, again, just saying it’s all supposed to be easier since everything’s digital so why complicate it right in your own App?! It’s still early in the year so my stars will change as the issues do, until then I’m only 1/2 convinced that it’s worth using the App when I still have to go online anyway… again just saying. TTFN ✌🏼.Version: 109.0
Getting betterApp was great then bad a while. Much improved recently but there seems to be a disconnect with the store. Recent example is a text telling me I needed to pick up by the 4th. I planned to pick up the third. I could not message the pharmacy through the app. Possible user fault. It got put back on the third and I had to reorder. More work for staff. Feel like the 4th should be relayed to the store. Also frequently get texts that there is a problem right after the text it is ready? Heroes work there. Walgreens employees in Clermont have gone way above and beyond in kindness to and helping with getting Florida DCF to finally step in and help my elderly mother. I tried two years and it took her going into Walgreens and throwing stuff off the shelf to make it happen. Now she finally has a case worker that didn’t just close her case because she knew her own name and has been to a doctor and has hospice help. Through the kindness of someone in healthcare that cared enough to make extra effort. App still has a couple of flaws but people make business excellent. Kudos on excellence of the people and corporate choices to start valuing their employees over putting a store on every corner. Hopes Florida will consider the model and reform their elder care policies. Knowing your own name is a low bar if it results in hitting a pedestrian or vandalizing a store to get help..Version: 59.0
Flashing Prescriptions~I think it’s just great to be able to submit our prescriptions this easily. Please keep this going for us dummies that hate wasting time and effort and find this much easier. I absolutely love ❤️ it. Sincerely, Patricia Brown~ Hey you guys——- I do have a bone 🦴 to pick with you. You have me so spoiled that I can’t go to any other pharmacy for anything. Dang it! I want you to know I was talked into switching my insurance due to all the great benefits last year. I switched! Ahem!!! Raw deal! I had to go to this popular 3 letter pharmacy, that I won’t name cuz I don’t want to get sued, & they treated me so bad. So unprofessional, that I quit great insurance just so I could return to you. Uh !Huh! No kidding! This year, they tried everything to get me to change again, I said No Thanks! No Way! I Love My Doctor and I Love My Pharmacy! Don’t call me, I’ll call you. Hasta la Vista! And that was that! I love 💕 you guys because you treat me right. You treat me as one Human to another and I appreciate that. I’m no better than you and you’re no better than me. If I have a question, you try to answer it. If I don’t have any questions, I tell you that too, because I know your day is busy & I don’t want to bend your ear. I really like all of you, but I gotta tell you, I have taken a great liking to Patrick. He is always so kind and patient with me. He always smiles. And I know that can be hard to do sometimes. I worked in the IRS, two hospitals, one being the VA & I owned several retail shops. Yup, sometimes it’s hard to put on your ‘Happy Face’. But I love you all, you do me right. Now I have said my piece & I can shut up 🤐. Love ❤️& Peace ☮️ to you all, Patricia..Version: 59.1
Looks great, not user-friendly at allSince the upgrade, the app doesn’t allow me to check off progress on my selected healthy choice challenges. I communicated the issue and provided the very specific details that were requested, to be forwarded to IT. That was 2 weeks ago. Nothing has changed, yet. I can access the challenges on my Chromebook, but had a difficult time locating how to access them on the website. Today, I placed an order for contact lenses. It must have taken me over an hour. I had to keep going back and forth between the app and the website because neither would process the order once the items were in the cart. I wanted to upload the doctor’s prescription, but .pdf’s are not accepted. Why???? So, back to my phone. Two options were available - upload from photos or take a photo at that time. I tried both methods, but neither was successful. So, I had to skip that advantage. Then when I entered the credit card information at checkout, it did not process, stating I needed to call them. Nope! I attempted a different card’s info., which was finally accepted. (There was no account-based reason for the 1st card not being accepted.) Why would developers release a new website and app that hadn’t been “tested” to assure that all aspects worked? FYI: I use an iPhone SE 2020 and an HP Chromebook 2019. Come on, Walgreens! You can do better!!.Version: 29.2
Well organized, Clean Store a mostly friendly staffWalgreen’s is a regular stop for me so I am able to observe how well the store is maintained and managed. It is very rare for me not to find what I’m looking for, the shelves are always well-stocked and organized. I have developed a nice rapport with a few of the employees there. Most everyone that works there seems to like their job and it shows I am always greeted when I walk through the door, and I almost always am asked if I need any help finding some thing by employees working the floor. The only reason I didn’t give the store five stars is because the pharmacy is painfully slow at accomplishing pretty much anything. I once waited at the drive-through for over 25 minutes and not one car moved in front of me during that entire time. I ended up backing out of the line and going inside to pick up my prescription. While I was waiting for them to find my prescription, I noticed that the same car that was sitting at the window when I was waiting in line outside was still sitting and waiting to be served. And not once did someone that works in the pharmacy go to the window and at least apologize for the wait. But fortunately, my insurance no longer covers my prescriptions at Walgreens so I don’t have to worry about that anymore. Overall I think this is one of the better Walgreens in the area and I love the cashiers!.Version: 61.1
Disaster, waste of timeI wasted more than 2 hrs of my Sunday night trying to print through Walgreens online. I submitted my credit card info at least 4 different times, kept getting an error message highlighting the cc# field. I very carefully verified my cc#, holding the physical cc up to the screen for comparison each time after the first attempt to be sure. Same failure each subsequent attempt. I attempted rebooting my laptop 2 of those times, but that didn’t help. I tried to submit a review on the Walgreens site. It would not accept my review, but converted my 1-star rating to a 4-star rating. I don’t know what’s happened with the Walgreens site, which has always been reliable for me. Tonight was a complete disaster, frustrating to say the very least. I would have given up much earlier, but I had promised my sister in a different city that I would print these photos to the Walgreens nearest her. I reverted to their app after well over 1.5 hrs of incredulous frustration on their website and found the purchase process quite different. In particular, it did not allow me to pay in advance for the prints, which I would strongly preferred to have done since they are a gift to a family member who will pick them up tomorrow. This process difference makes me think that the developers are different for the app versus their website, not surprising. But Walgreen’s should figure this out, not their customers. If you would like to help Walgreen’s troubleshoot their site at no charge to you, except for the time that you spend unwittingly trying to pay them for their services, be my guest - you will not tire of problems to solve. If you value your time, try another site, as I will next time..Version: 59.4
Don’t fix it if it ain’t brokeWhen I first started using the Walgreens app, it was a game changer for me. It was unquestionably the best designed and executed commercial app ever. It made getting refills on my prescriptions, and more importantly, tracking when they needed to be refilled, so incredibly easy that I immediately and completely switched all my prescriptions over to Walgreens from Costco. I have never even considered going anywhere else, despite my wife’s entreaties to get the cash-back Costco offers. But you seem to have just not been able to leave a perfect system alone, and it has done nothing but deteriorate over time. First it was screw ups in the record keeping. Small errors such as a refill missing. Then there were refills applied against the newest prescription for a drug I already had one refill left on an older one for the same drug, which threw everything out of whack, so that when I used up the refills on the new prescription, the old one, which still had a refill left, had expired. But the new app is the worst. Why would you replace a perfect app with an inferior one? Not only is the new one just downright ugly, but the user interface is far worse and the functionality I loved seems to be either gone or hidden. You need to realize that most of your pharmacy customers are old gits like me, and we don’t like change. We certainly don’t want to have to spend what precious little time we have left on this earth learning a new user interface because some snot-nosed MBA back at your corporate headquarters needed to justify his existence to his boss by showing how clever he was. Not happy..Version: 22.1
Satisfaction with Walgreens on James Street in Chicopee MAI have been using this pharmacy for years now. I have always been treated with the utmost respect, professionalism, and care. Although most of the people in the pharmacy have all been helpful, there’s definitely 1 pharmacist that has consistently gone above and beyond for me every time I have a prescription that may run into some problems. Sometimes it may be an insurance issue, or a prescription not being correct, or pretty much anything else that you can think of going wrong. Missy is an amazing pharmacist who tries to rectify any problems that pop up. I just recently found out that she is being transferred soon to another Walgreens Pharmacy. I am so sure that the Walgreens Pharmacy that she is going to, will be incredibly thankful for her skills, experience, work ethic and her ability to be so helpful and gracious to the people she will be working with, and the clients that cross her path. I have to admit that I am very disappointed that I will be losing such a wonderful person. I am disabled and at the moment I do not have my own vehicle. If I had my own transportation, I would not hesitate to fallow her!! Thank you for your time. Karen Schmalenberg.Version: 59.0
Pharmacy Electronic RXI’d give Zero stars, but it’s a 1-5 rating system so 1 being the lowest is correct. This review has nothing to do with local pharmacist; I’m actually thankful for the 2 pharmacists that helped me track down the medication and attempt a Walgreens to Walgreens transfer after a week plus of waiting for it to fill and sit stagnant. What I’m reviewing and writing up is the online Walgreens pharmacists and Customer Relation folks who lie to patients telling them CII-IV medications cannot be transferred because of Federal/State law. Federal law allows for the electronic transfer of CII-IV medications pharmacist to pharmacist. The DEA spearheaded the law change TO PREVENT the same provider to input multiple electronic RX’s at multiple pharmacies for the same controlled medications and actually reduce more controlled RX’s being imputed. However, according to Walgreens customer relations and every online pharmacists I spoke with stated that federal law prohibits the electronic transfer of controlled medications. That’s incorrect, the federal law was changed back in July and took effect August 28,2023. Well it’s now Dec 12, 2023 and Walgreens still doesn’t have an electronic ERX system to electronically transfer RX’s like their competitors CVS or RiteAid have. They use PowerRX which IS NOT CAPABLE of electronically transferring a script. The reason Walgreens will tell you is it’s against the law for them to transfer controlled medications. It’s a lot easier to misguide the people vs creating an IT plug in their ERX system to conform to the laws/regulations. Just quote an obsolete law from 2010 and hope the patients go away. Real classy..Version: 70.3
So buggy as to be unusableI have wasted so much time just trying to place an order on this app, it is ridiculous. Last night I started an order, but the coupons and Rewards section of the app wasn’t working. So I waited a few hours and came back. Then, the coupons and Rewards were working but now the items being shipped were suddenly out of stock. Not even being shipped from a store but from centrally, mind you. Today, I come back to it, and finally it looks like the items can be shipped (after I empty the shopping cart multiple times to start over because things like the “Ship Instead” button doesn’t work, and the order keeps acting like I was doing a Pickuo Order. So I start over from scratch and finally enter all the info in checkout to place the order, and I’m at the last step. And then… what happened? No order confirmation, no acknowledgment that it was submitted, it just shows an empty cart now. I look in Purchase History: nothing. I look in my email: nothing. Did the order get placed? It doesn’t seem like it but I don’t want to place a second order and be wrong. So frustrating! Why can’t they test this app and get it working right?.Version: 59.0
Photo is a hassleI wanted to make a card stock photo card for my friends birthday. After uploading the pictures, filling in and deciding on the text, and signing the card (more on that later) I selected the premium card for 3.99. It alerts me that this premium style card is not available at my selected Walgreens store. I decided it would be worth two extra minute drive to get the card from another Walgreens store. The problem is, in order to select a different store, the only way to get back to the Home Screen is by “starting over”. This means that I had to go through the whole design process again. Eventually, I just made dummy cards until I located a store that could print the premium style card. This could have been fixed by allowing customers to “save” projects. Secondly, Walgreens template allows you to hand sign the card using your finger. There is no zoom in or eraser options to help you clean up any finger signing mishaps! This means that if you don’t like how you signed one letter, you have to restart the signature over from the beginning. I was signing several names. It would have been better if I could have erased my mistakes or been able to zoom to write a little more precisely. This was not an option. I like the quality of the photo product overall, but I think the app needs work..Version: 28.0
My REWARDS AND BIRTHDAY MONTH Sadness JanuaryOn January 4 I went to do my shopping like I always do and none of my rewards printed and I contacted customer care and spoke with someone they told me my situation was escalated and someone would call me back they gave me I think $50 of my Walgreens cash a week went by I had yet to hear anything in reference to my Walgreens cash I called back again they said it was escalated but they forgot to put my city and store number in. I was never contacted again. It is now February 14 after five calls five attempts six different agents for managers two people with attitudes as I was merely no one that I sometimes shop in their store and make 6 to 7 and nine purchases daily, I was never called back slowly I’ve been starting to shop again, but my favorite store I feel has failed me for my Walgreens cash which I should have been rewarded because I spent a lot of money and did a lot of good deals as I look back at my receipt, and my notes on how much I was owed it saddens me to know that I was not their concern. My Store still asks me every now and then when I go in what happened with that did anybody ever call you back? And I say…. no yours truly, Denise Amos.Version: 72.1
Customer service is terribleI was buying gloves in the store they didn’t have a price on them I scanned them with the barcode reader on the app only to find out that the barcode is only for corporate and the store and corporate are two different things they consider even this they are both banned Walgreens they have nothing to do with each other online the item scanned the same price as corporate and it said the store had item in stock however the store will not give the 7 dollar price will charge you 100% mark up I called to find out and was hung up on all my calls I have been going to Walgreens since I worked at the hospital round the corner almost 30 yrs just like they say they are open 24hrs but call ahead 1st they no longer stay open 24hrs due to staffing which is hard on the steady traffic that store gets from the hospital don’t bother with this app or the store in Mountain View California neither one of them work they closed down a perfectly amazing store with drive through to keep a very small store open with no drive thru or steady hours of operation life is too short find a better pharmacy and download an app u can depend on.Version: 47.0
App & Pharmacy Are Not SynergisticI was told by pharmacy staff that the app is wrong and whatever she tells me is accurate. I asked her if I should question everything the app notifies me about and call to verify and she said yes. To get through to the pharmacy is usually a 30 minute wait just to be met by an annoyed employee using her “customer service voice” as aggressively as possible. Anyway, the main instance was when the app sent me a email on 12/22 that the medication my doctor sent in was delayed because it was too early to fill, we knew this was the case, but wanted it put on file so that there were no disruptions over the holiday season. The email stated that even though the medication could not be filled right away, it would be available for pick up on 12/25. I knew that the pharmacy was not going to be open on Christmas Day so I called on 12/26 expecting the medication to be ready or in the process of being prepared. The woman who answered said that they did not receive the prescription from the doctor until 12/25 which is impossible because my doctors closed on 12/25 and like I previously stated, Walgreens sent me an email on 12/22. She went on to say that the medication will not be ready until 12/28, said I was lying about the email that their system sent me & refused to work with me at all. She did not care. I was bothering her and I felt it the entire conversation. However, the pharmacist who works at the location I prefer has been there since my children were small and I adore her. She pays close attention to everything and stops what she’s doing if she has any concerns about interactions or new medication. She is always mild mannered and steadfast!.Version: 108.0
Old location continues to fill medsI have recently moved out of state. The old Walgreens location is still attempting to fill meds, despite my provider sending scripts to the new location. Once they mess with the scripts for controlled substances, the new location requires me to obtain a new script from my provider. I don’t know how to make this stop. I have been filling meds at the new location since December and I have updated my information on the app, in store and again my provider is sending scripts to the new location. I’m about to change locations, as I don’t have time to deal with this nonsense every single month. Currently I am out of a medication and it has said “in progress” on the app for days. I am beyond frustrated with this situation. They also take it upon themselves to fill meds that I have not requested, as I do not yet need them. I’ve never dealt with such a mess from Walgreens and I don’t intend to deal with it much longer! Between the pharmacy and the express scripts, I absolutely understand why patient medication compliance is so low. Unnecessary barriers are created one after another by the entities that should be encouraging compliance..Version: 59.0
New functionality improved the app! But, App no longer works with older iPadANOTHER UPDATE: and still no way to message the Pharmacy, request an urgent earlier, Phil then the timeslot it gives, and if you click on a prescription, it does not give you the prescribing doctor when the prescription was written picked up that a lot of information that is very much needed. Information that can easily be coded into the app. Update: I filled out the feedback several times and Walgreens actually added the functionality I had been requesting to be able to add notes to prescriptions for the pharmacist! I’m so excited. I’ve already used this several times. It keeps me from having to call and wait on hold forever or have to go to the pharmacy to talk to them. I’m much happier with this app. Although I still can’t use it on my iPad because it’s older but it works well on my phone. I give them 5 stars for listening to customers and actually implementing our requests! Thank you Walgreens! Old review; I can't use the app because it no longer works on my iPad. It says I have to update the app but won't let me because my iPad iOS won't update. There's nothing wrong with this iPad. I should not be forced to buy a new one because apps don't want to be compatible with older iOS's..Version: 79.1
Amazing teamI know that navigating the entire healthcare system in the US can be incredibly frustrating, especially dealing with insurance and what they will and won’t cover, and how expensive medications we need to survive have become. I’ve been coming to this particular Walgreens pharmacy at Young Circle for over 8 years, not because the location is so amazing (some of the folks milling about outside can be off putting, but we’re a community), but because the staff of the pharmacy is amazing. I feel like they’ve always done whatever they can to help me, and they’ve always tried to order meds that they didn’t have in stock fairly quickly. I’ve witnessed customers treat them horribly, and they take it in stride. I have to remember that they’re stuck between Drs and insurance companies, not to mention all the shortages there are of popular medications, and I personally can’t imagine a scenario I’d hate more. I don’t know what it takes to work in a customer service type job, cause I sure don’t, but I’m thankful every few weeks I need to pick up my medication that these are the people I have to help me. It makes a difference. Thanks y’all..Version: 112.3
Filling prescriptions on fileI have several prescriptions I take daily. When I visit my doctor for followup, he writes new prescriptions for those prescriptions. If I’m not quite out of any of them I just go ahead and have my Walgreens pharmacy put them on file for future filling through my Walgreens app. I’ve been using it several years now and love it!! It’s so convenient and easy to use. I only have one issue. When I try to fill a prescription that I have on file, the app puts that prescription in a category that “requires action”. Most of the time I’m also refilling a prescription. I go get my prescriptions when the app notifies me they are ready, get home and then realize I don’t have one of my prescriptions. Looking back on my app it show that prescription needs attention. That requires me to call, talk to someone, then it’s filled. But I’m already home. It would be much more helpful and convenient for prescriptions such as this to go ahead and be filled so customers aren’t inconvenienced or possibly miss taking a medication because they didn’t realize their requested prescription is stuck in a black hole. The pharmacy personnel have no idea these prescriptions requiring attention even exist. Hope you can fix this issue. Thank you for this awesome app!.Version: 21.0
Lost PrescriptionsI’ve been using Walgreens for a long time but, for some reason, a few or more times a year they just lose a prescription or put it in a delayed status until I call and remind them that it’s sitting there. As God as my witness they, then fill in right then and there! What if I didn’t call? Or what happens to the elderly who are just sitting at home waiting for maybe something g they really need? This place is a joke, the pharmacist are professionals but the rest of the staff are rude, keep you o. Hold forever and sometimes even hang up in you then you have to start the whole process over again! I always have to do all the legwork to make sure things get done properly. I left my doctor on a Tuesday afternoon tried to get my prescription that I watched him fax over. So, now, I have to get a hold of the doctors office, then get back to Walgreens, then, I wait, and sometimes it takes a long time for me to get what I was prescribed. As soon as my prescription refills are done here, maybe before then, I will be transferring ALL of my prescriptions somewhere else and I’ll make sure my family doesn’t use this one either!.Version: 65.8
Please fix thisI have been a faithful Walgreens customer for years. I have also used the app for a couple/few years, mostly for handling prescriptions and photo orders. After today, I will no longer use the app for navigating prescription refills. After repeatedly requesting a refill on a daily maintenance medication over the past several days, the app indicated that specific medicine was “filled”. However upon arriving at the pharmacy to pick up the medicine, I was told it was not filled because the doctor requires an appointment be made. When I called the doctor to make that appointment and get approval on that refill authorization, I was told the message had been conveyed to Walgreens days ago and multiple times that an office visit was required. Nowhere on my account in the app does it say that. If it had, I would not have wasted days repeatedly requesting refills and a trip to the pharmacy to find out. Why is a message about a required office visit in order for a refill to be given not communicated on the app if the pharmacy is aware of the situation?! Please do something to add that message or other communications Walgreens has from the doctor to truly make the prescription part of the app useful?.Version: 29.2
WALGREENS PHARMACY AND BONNIE IN COSMETICS ARE THE BEST!Bonnie at the Lake Havasu City, AZ store is so great. She helps out everyone with their purchases in terms of information about the products and goes out of her way to make sure you are happy. She is so knowledgeable about everything in the store, especially in cosmetics. I always look forward to going in to buy whatever I need. I want to especially mention the pharmacy. They are always doing their best to help you and solve any of the problems that invariably arise from the complexities of medications/insurance issues. Especially with all the winter visitors coming here. Our city goes from 60,000 people to over 160,000 and most of them are sick and cranky and have multiple illnesses. They are frequently rude and loud. I don’t think the employees of the pharmacy get much credit for what they have to deal with. But they do it with patience and respect. I have worked in the medical field for 30 years and I know how hard it can be and I have been a customer here since the store was opened. I am appalled at some people’s behavior. The only reviews are from disgruntled customers. Thanks for having such a great experience..Version: 71.0
Great for managing prescriptionsApp is great when it comes to managing prescriptions. You can view current and past prescriptions and related info and submit a refill right from the app. Super easy! Some even qualify for auto refills but not all (think controlled substances don’t qualify). With or without auto refill I find this method super convenient and WAY quicker than calling the pharmacy. Takes less than a minute majority of the time! Also great way to check on status of prescriptions and when they’re ready to refill. My only complaint would be the missing info for “prescription history.” App gives the option to click on a specific medication and see your past history filling/prescribing. Super handy for checking when a script was filled in the past but however it’s often incomplete with N/A for the fill date. Not sure why its unable to track only some since they’re all filled via the same pharmacy/account. Perhaps it relates to filling via phone vs. the app? Super minor issue and most of the time it meets all of my pharmacy needs without issue. Besides the prescription tab, I barely use any of the other features on this app related to shopping. I do however use Walgreens to develop disposables and film. It would be nice to have a page where I can check on the status of my film (sent out to be developed) since this service is sometimes unreliable. In the past I’ve waited weeks and even months with no update and kept having to call in for updates. Each time I was given same answer, “not ready” and “no status update” or info at all. Maybe it’s outside of Walgreens’ control since they outsource film development but more information than zero would be appreciated. At least would bring peace of mind to have a window with the status of each order, even just to see it still exists. Just a thought!.Version: 81.2

Pretty good appPretty easy to use app that has many features (i only used the photo section). The only main drawback is that you cannot crop pictures that you only wanna print in 4x6, 5x7, or 8x10 format (you can with posters and canvas tho). If you really need this feature or photo edition, or you wanna do post cards, use the iPad version of this app..Version: 3.4.1
