Read, understand, patient, kind

I have used Priceline without any problems that other users have had issues with. I do cross reference across multiple apps, including reading the terms of what I am purchasing. When purchased by the app I have always received top service from the companies that have been contracted for the service! I am no one special, but I do let those who I come into contact with, treat them with respect and patience. Even in todays electronic age there is a degree of error that happens. I recently rented a car thru the app, the company I got was Hertz, I read up on any issues that previous renters had, again across multiple apps. I did accept it even after the many negative reviews I came across. Upon arrival at SeaTac, they were short of cars, the agents were very cordial and apologetic, They did not have the car class that I asked for, Nela was overwhelmed, but handling her business, I could hear what was going on, I said to her just do what you need to, I’ll sit down while you figure it out. After 10 or less she called me up and apologized, and said she could only offer me a BMW 740i in the full size category, I declined it and she was able to get me a mid size suv. I accepted it, know that this is the end of the pandemic and people are starting to travel in much higher volumes. I think that Hertz is still in reorganization mode, lots of businesses are short handed. The way the staff handled the situation is people you want as your employees. Be Patient, Be Kind, Be respectful, Be understanding.

Good price & hotel, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I booked a room a month in advance for 4th of July Weekend with the “pay now” feature. The money was immediately taken out my account. Fast forward to the day of check-in… Myself (currently 5 1/2 months pregnant) and my husband (& our 3 kids) DROVE 39hours across country to spend this weekend with our family. Check-in wasn’t until 3pm (which is normal) BUT due to Priceline taking our money and never sending the hotel their portion, we were unable to check in until 9pm! We sat in the parking lot of the hotel well over 4 hours on the phone with Priceline to sort it out. Mind you we had to keep calling Priceline customer service 4 times with each call having over an hour of wait time just to even speak with someone! Finally after nearly 5 hours of waiting in a car after driving 39 hours, Priceline said they can only compensate us a 5% coupon for our next booking. We missed a WHOLE evening of prepaid events we was unable to attend or get a refund for all because of Priceline and they’re not even willing to compensate us?!?!?! Mind you I’m currently a GOLD VIP Member & literally only 2 bookings away from being PLATINUM!!! At this point I refuse to use this app any further. & I’m spreading the word to everyone I referred. Highly disappointed. I’ve been loyal to Priceline since 2010! All for customer service to treat me and my family like trash! Also I realized, the discount with being a gold member, I only paid 3$ less a night than if I was to book directly with the hotel. Even more of a reason to cut ties!

VIP Member Left Sleeping In Car With No Hotel Room

This is Priceline VIP Treatment? Wow. Really? After taking my monies, keeping it to date, receiving an alleged hotel confirmation in Myrtle Beach SC on Thursday 20 Apr 2023. Upon arrival at hotel we were informed No rooms are available. The hotel was full. When I reached out to a Priceline Rep for help and spoke with a Manager as well, after 2.5+ hours sitting in the car on the phone, they were unable to secure me another replacement hotel. ?The Priceline solution? “We will get you a room the next day on Friday 21Apr 2023, for 1 night with the check-in after 3-4 pm. In the interim, there is nothing we can do. The Priceline apparent conclusion & concurrence? We continue to sit/sleep in the car for 18-20 hours until a Priceline hotel inventory check is performed on Friday on 21 Apr 2023 with after 3-4 pm check in. The new reservation/confirmation will be for 1 night and without an immediate a refund. The refund would be forthcoming in future. And was told that is final Priceline offer. Take it or leave it, essentially. We are still in the car, overnight, on just the 8th hour of this Priceline could less, we got your money now, nightmare. To top it all off, wondered the Reps why I was upset having us homeless after trusting Priceline would meet their end of the paid contract, besides the taking my money part. We guess Priceline Reps figured, at least we got you the rental car in Georgia, you’re sleeping in now, what’s the problem? You should be happy. We could have took your money and fell through on the rental car part as well.

It’s On The Line

I heard about Priceline years ago, you know, the commercials, the Star-something, Sci-Fi show guy? But my first actual use was through a friend that had VIP, when we were trying to save money, for my plane ticket from OK to OH. Through his referral, I obtained my own VIP status, without a purchase, which I thought was pretty snazzy. I didn’t really use it again until two weeks ago, six months after the initial fact, because I ended up on the road frequently, and needed a hotel nearly nightly, and as far as competitively, I found Priceline to basically offer the similar locations, prices, and such - but since I had already had VIP, I was sticking with Priceline. My only real gripe, which actually, is a significant one, is that I’ve needed to contact support several times now, facing booking issues, and as it were, the app is seemingly stubborn, limited, and reluctant, to get the AI to switch the help line to a real person, as it is set to a typical three selection answer, but if you stay persistent with it, then it gradually gives in, and gets a live rep. Now I actually have a phone number to call directly, which last night, I found to be rather quick getting one, however, the AI had me repeating my number at least six times.

They are good at finding hotel but what they are bad at is refund

I am a VIP gold member in Priceline (whatever that means but I guess It means I use it alot). But this has not happened to me not just once but twice. I got charged by Priceline for a hotel on May but for whatever reason the hotel told me and said the payment through Priceline didn’t went through so they charged me again. (Thats all good I understand that) But when I called the Priceline 3 days after and I said both Priceline and hotel have charged me for the same day so I want Priceline or the hotel to refund on the charge they said they had to confirm with the hotel (that’s understandable too) and the representative of the Priceline said we will make sure with the hotel and send a reimbursement email to your email in 3/5 business days but NO they didn’t. So I called again in 5 days and same response but again NO email (but yes they do make me wait again to confirm with the hotel) After 12 days I called Priceline again and this time they said to email Priceline with my bank statements where it says both parties have charged. And they said it will take 5business days to receive a email back. Its been 2 week still No email.

During the recent snow storm that hit, booking a motel just to have shelter has been difficult to say the least, especially when you don’t have anywhere else to go and you have limited savings. With ALL the different apps available and trying to compete with each other, I found Priceline to be a life saver and money saver for me because other apps including the app for where I was literally stuck because of the snow and ice was in no way cheaper or helpful. Personally I feel with the weather being a factor for having to stay additional days/nights I honestly should’ve been given a discount considering they don’t serve food or have bottled water let alone a vending machine that accepts cards. But I digress, being on an extremely limited budget or should I say blowing through my savings was no fun for me because I was saving to get me a stable place to live now because of the weather and motel prices I have to wait at least three to six more months. One things for sure I’ll be excited when the weather is more favorable because I’m ready to become stable again. Anywho, my hats off to Priceline for offering affordable rates on multiple nights, keep up the good work.

I booked a room through Priceline for a room with two queens, when I arrived, there was only one bed. When I spoke to the hotel, they had no other rooms available. They found a bed from a room they were renovating. We had to help carry beds, move furniture, assemble the bed, and we were given pillows with no pillow cases and disgusting stains. Both beds were side by side because the room was so small. The hotel was also understaffed, so we were told that towels and toiletries would be on the cart at the end of the hall. For around $120 for a single night this was by far, my worst experience booking a hotel with Priceline. When contacting customer service, Priceline said I’m not eligible for a refund because we used the room and I didn’t notify the hotel that I would be arriving after check-in time. There were no other hotels/rooms available in my price range that night as there was an event in town, so I had to use the room… as I traveled in from out of state. I also didn’t see anything about needing to notify the hotel that I would be arriving after the 3:00PM check-in time so I could have access to a room that I literally PAID for. ABSOLUTE SHAM.

Easy booking and great prices

Over the past two years, I have consistently booked all of my flights through Priceline, and my experience has been nothing but positive. As an active duty military member, traveling can often become extremely expensive and stressful, especially when balancing work obligations, leave schedules, and limited time off. Priceline has helped make the process significantly more affordable, convenient, and reliable. What I appreciate most is the ability to find competitive pricing without sacrificing ease of use or dependable service. The platform has consistently provided flight options that fit both my budget and schedule, which is especially important given the unpredictable nature of military life. Every booking I’ve made has gone smoothly, and I’ve never encountered any major issues. Overall, Priceline has been a dependable resource that has saved me both time and money while traveling over the past few years. I would confidently recommend it to other service members or frequent travelers looking for a cost-effective and hassle-free way to book flights.

Americas best value inn.... not

If it was possible to give no stars, I would. We needed a pet friendly hotel to stay while traveling, thought it would have been a decent place since their name is “America’s Best Value Inn” and it cost $66 plus $10 for having a cat. If we wanted to sleep with bugs and dirt, we would of just slept outdoors. There was a hole in the bathroom wall with a fly strip hanging above it.. to catch what bugs that came from the hole. 🤢 a dime and nickel fell out of our towels that were not clean. Every lamp looked like someone had gotten into a fight with it. I Wore white socks while I was there and left with brown. The box springs were stained with puke, blood and/or urine and so were the chairs. The paint on the walls were covering something that seeped through so you could still see, Like there had been blood splattered everywhere. We had a 5 year with us and did not plan on smoking in the room but the woman at the front desk made us get a smoking room anyway in fear that they would charge us for smoking in the room when we weren’t. Also got weird vibes during our stay, pretty sure our room was haunted or something.

Always double check your reservation name !!

I made a reservation for the first night on a Saturday because I didn’t know for sure if I was wanting to travel for two days . So I made my first reservation for a Saturday and then later decided to leave earlier and made a reservation for the Friday before . So I get to the hotel and the next morning on Saturday , I take my key down to the front desk and the clerk tells me I don’t have a reservation for Saturday just Friday . I then go back to my room and call Priceline to find out they had my reservation as My first name two times even though I was making the reservation on my app and it is already put in as my full name ! So I get told my first reservation was a no show because the name was Melissa Melissa ! I made the reservation through my app with all of my info already put in . Needless to say I did not get a refund for $134 because of their mix up and the hotels policy ! Even though you have all of your information on the app it doesn’t mean it is going through that way I suppose or someone is changing it and the days . Always recheck

Functional app but customer support behind the app is bad

The app has always worked fine for me, prices are consistently the best and the areas serviced are really good. Being that this is what Priceline advertises as their specialty, I believe this should be expected. However, the customer support behind the app is terrible. I made a reservation but a few hours after I made the reservation, my wife decided to make a change to our itinerary. I got back on the app, selected cancel and canceled the trip. It was well within Priceline's advertised 24 hour free cancellation period. I rebooked my trip with the changes my wife wanted. Keep in mind I did not get an immediate refund for the cancellation I made. I didn't expect to get an immediate refund but I did expect to get one at some point. 20 days after I made the cancellation I called Priceline and after waiting on hold for more than 2 hours, I was told that they would NOT honor their own policy and I would not be receiving a refund. Granted I cannot afford to be out the $2,300 dollars I spent so I will have to pursue this issue further. It's really unfortunate as I have booked over 100 different accommodations through Priceline.

Finding a room while road-tripping could be easier

For the past 3 months I’ve been technically a vagabond while trying to find a replacement home after I sold my house. Since I’m never sure where the road will lead me or where the next deal on a home might be, I haven’t been able to really plan in advance to make reservations at a hotel ahead of time. That’s where Priceline comes in handy. I can stop for a break while driving go on their app and they show me all the available hotels in the surrounding area Im in. And since Im traveling with my cats, Im also able to filter hotels that only allow pets. But I have come up on a problem with that. 2 of the hotels which flatly stated they were ‘Pet Friendly’ refused to allow my cats to stay. Saying it was because of allergens. I know as many people allergic to dogs as they are with cats. But that’s not the point which is: these hotels need to state ‘Dog Friendly’ not ‘Pet Friendly’ since that is false advertising and Priceline needs to address that with these hotels. Other than that I’ve been quite pleased with all my booking on Priceline.

I love but..

I love Priceline. They have great deals and the app is easy to use. I always find that they are consistently less than other booking sites. My only issue is that I’m unable to change my email address from my old email to my new email. When I called customer support I was told that they couldn’t change it for me for security purposes and that I would need to make a new account using my new email address. I would lose my gold status in doing so. What?!? I’m losing out on updates for trips etc., promotions that are only email related (current email promotion) because I have no access to my old email address and I cannot update it on the app or website or customer support but will lose my status that I’ve built up if I make a new account. This is not okay. It should be a seamless transition for updating my email address. People change email addresses and there should be no penalty for doing so. I understand keeping accounts secure but if I can change my banking email without getting a new bank account surely I should be able to change my email in my travel account without needing to make a new account.

DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST!!!

I’ve used Priceline for at least 10+ years. Mostly for hotel stays and some flights. I have to admit if you don’t read the fine print and understand that your reservation is FINAL and there are NO CHANGES or NO REFUNDS the experience can be frustrating. If you’re the type of person who needs the security of being able to change your reservation, DON’T USE PRICELINE, but if you do your do diligence and research where you are going you can find some awesome deals through Priceline! Just the other day I found a great deal on a hotel with wonderful river views! It was located right on the Rouge River in the state of Oregon, USA. I Googled a couple of different hotels in the area that had popped up on Priceline. I also looked up their exact location on Google maps. In addition to that I read their descriptions and reviews on Priceline AND the hotels own website. Being I was booking the room for a friend’s anniversary gift, I did end up calling the hotel and booking directly through them. They even honored the Priceline deal! If it hadn’t been for Priceline, I would not have ever known about the beautiful RIVERSIDE INN in Grants Pass, Oregon!

Once again Priceline. helps make my traveling easier and less expensive.

Maybe I should have given 4 stars for helping me find a good low priced hotel in Amsterdam because when I first started searching I found it very hard to sort through all the hotel choices and all the many locations and areas of the big complex city. Priceline gave me so many choices it was a bit overwhelming, and their map feature didn’t work very nicely or easily on my iPad. If you wanted to zoom out a little, suddenly you would have a map of all of Europe! So it took me some time to first figure out where roughly I wanted to be, and then used Google maps to see how far walking distances were to the train station and to museums or parks I wanted to see. But once I did that, Priceline helped me find a hotel with a nice big room with a big sliding door to a sunny patio balcony overlooking nice trees. Getting my second unexpected night here was very fast with Priceline and at same great deal as first night. Highly recommend PL to friends, and like any website you get better with it the more times you use it and know how to better use it.

Hotel booking

I have been customer of priceline for couple years now and so far i had have not problem until this past april i went to vegas nevada and booked a room for 2 nights at hotel circus circus, it turns out that when i arrived to check in the person who helped me at check in at the hotel could not find my reservation with either my name or my partner’s so that day the hotel was very busy and since we could not find other hotel we ended up staying in the car sleeping and when i called priceline letting them know same day i did not use the service but the hotel comfirmed that we did use the service now priceline is giving the hotel for granted and they do not want to return my money for a service i did not use and they know because according to their system all calls are madr to them are recorded the person from priceline that i talked to that day told me that they were gonna cancel my reservation and they were gonna return my money or relocated me in other hotel but they did nothing and i have call the hotel to see if they can return my money but the hotel says that priceline has my money not them and i call priceline and they say the hotel has my money so i do not recommend this app or website to book your trip i will uninstall this app acter am done with this review.

Priceline - Hotel, Car, Flight Negative Reviews and Ratings

Advertising & selling Rooms that are NOT available

When you book a room that is premium (ie water view, or courtyard view) call actual hotel to double check that is the room that is being booked. I recently had an experience where Priceline was advertising a ‘courtyard view’ room only to find out when I called the hotel that was NOT the room booked through PL - we were being put in a standard room. If we wanted the room being offered on PL it was $100 more. I thought maybe I made a mistake booking so I booked the ‘courtyard view’ room again through PL (it was cheaper than going through hotel)under my husband’s name & when I called the hotel again to double check they told me no you are booking a standard room facing the street vs facing the courtyard (which is also facing the water which is why it’s supposed to be premium & more expensive). Pretty disappointed! I canceled the reservation & booked directly through hotel to ensure I got the room I was paying for. So Priceline was advertising a courtyard room that was actually a standard room with no view for more than what a standard room would have been, & we would have not been able to do anything about it once we got to hotel because the PL confirmation didn’t actually show this ‘courtyard view’ anywhere once booked. Very deceiving! I even took a screenshot of the room description before pushing book & once booked that little tidbit is no where to be seen on reservation! So check your PL reservation, & double check with the hotel before your trip!!

Priceline is a joke

The app is whatever. Priceline, itself, just stay away. Go straight to the airline’s website. Avoid the middle man. It’s so much cheaper and less of a hassle. They will leave you stranded on the other side of the country. They will email you that your flight is cancelled and then email you half an hour later that it’s back on schedule and on time. When you arrive, there’s no flight or crew there. When you call Priceline, they’re completely clueless. They’ll tell you the reservation is still applicable even when the gate you’re at is closed with a cancelled sign posted and no crew in sight. While on the phone with the clueless representative, they’ll explain how they can’t cancel a reservation until they confirm a flight has been cancelled, leave you on hold, just to come back on and tell you it is, in fact, a cancelled flight. When you ask if the reservation can be transferred, they can only do it within the same airline. If that airline doesn’t have a flight for the same destination, they will cancel the reservation and offer you a credit. But the credit is only good with that same airline. How does that resolve any issue? How does that get you home? Skip Priceline. Go directly to the airline websites, book the flight through them. Use the extra money Priceline normally would pocket and apply that to the flight insurance. That way you at least get an actual refund to use to book another flight with another airline. Thanks for nothing, Priceline. Never again.

Poor car rental experience enterprise/national

I reserved a car through Priceline. Purchased the additional insurance through you as well. When I went to pickup the car in Cabo the agent said that the insurance I had paid Priceline for was not good. They had no record of it. I showed them my confirmation but again was told that the insurance was not adequate. They told me that if the car was damaged that I would have to pay for the damages myself and get reimbursed by the insurance company. I would not be allowed to leave Mexico until the repairs were paid for by me. They wanted to charge me over $300 additional dollars to get their insurance. After much arguing They told me that they would charge my card $3,000 which would be returned to me five to ten days after the car was returned undamaged. This was through Enterprise/National. To make matters worse after agreeing to their $3,000 deposit They funneled me to a timeshare salesman in their office that had the keys to my car. Couple of things really bother me. First and foremost Priceline needs to protect and prepare their customers for this kind of bait and switch. Second, Priceline needs to stop renting vehicles from Enterprise/National if this is the way they treat their customers. I literally started my fortieth anniversary vacation with an hour long battle that I am absolutely sure most folks would have just surrendered to. Please stop enabling this bad behavior and use your power in numbers to let unethical businesses know that there will be a price to pay if they continue to try to rip off your clients.

Customer service is a joke

I need to cancel a last minute trip and couldn’t get any on the phone. They push you to the text option which is automated for the first half. After finally getting someone I was told they couldn’t even help and “escalated” my request and some one would get back to in 3-5 days. Well after the reservation. I tried 3 different occasions to try to cancel this before The trip date each time being met with “we have escalated your request and someone will get back to in 3-5 days. The trip date came and went and NOW 13 days after the 3-5 day line someone got back with me “we are not able to obtain an authorization to issue a refund. The reservation remains non-refundable” I needed to Give the 48 hours which I did and have the Priceline text messages. Since no one at customer service can do anything I was penalized. Never again will I use Priceline. Not to mention after this fiasco I could have book the hotel direct 10% cheaper. Price line is a joke and doesn’t stand behind anything. It was their own incompetence that caused me to miss the refund date. Update The developers ask for a private message with the trip details. The same details I gave them 3 times in the chat, the same details I emailed twice about. Don’t waste your time with Priceline. Most hotels will give you 10% better of the cheapest price you find. Use Priceline to find your cheapest price and then call the hotel. The hotels cancellation policies are way better anyway.

Horrible at helping their customers

I was on my way to louisiana and booked a hotel on their behalf. Min after I called to hotel to make sure the amenities where available and open. They were not. After that called Priceline to cancel and request a refund. They did not help me get my refund minutes after I had booked and they stated that hotel policy stated that they could only request refund 24 hrs before the reservation. What rule right because I had just booked it and had booked it for the same day. How can they say it’s 24 hrs before your check in time if I had just reserved a hr before getting there and then pay for something that has no amenities available. I had pictures, call logs, text, from where I had went to the actual hotel to proof to them that the pool was not in service and after talking to the owner he refused as well to even give me a partial refund. Be careful with everything they promote online and what you reserve with this company because if you don’t read and verify directly with the hotel you will end up screwed with your money. Had never been more disappointed with Priceline sad they wouldn’t even fight for their customers even when they know and in their system they have all the notes of how many times I called how many times they called the hotel and how many times the hotel owner stated he never received a call from any agent from Priceline. They are a joke. Nothing else to say but I’m disgusted with this company.

Usually cheaper to cut out the middle man

The first time that I used Priceline, I showed up to the hotel to discover that they did not have my room available. The computer system that they use doesn’t work well with that of the hotels so I was informed. Thankfully, the AMAZING people at the hotel (Red Lion Seaside) hooked me up with a better room and gave me a huge discount for the inconvenience of Priceline’s folly. They also informed me that they could give me a better deal than Priceline almost every time. So I took their advice the next time I took a trip. I checked the price that Priceline offered, and then checked with the hotel itself. Sure enough, going through the hotel itself I saved around $75, sometimes more. So I have started using Priceline just to find the hotels, then I book through the hotels themselves. Works great! More often than not, you can get a better deal through the hotels themselves. The only exception I have found is their price buster deals. But I always double check through the hotel before buying. Credit cards give the least hassle. Debit cards have funds held for awhile before getting squared away so just be aware of that. Also, any cancellations, Priceline takes their sweet time returning your money. But please, don’t take my word for it. Go check out a “deal” with Priceline and then check the price through the hotel and see what you find. I’d say you’ll thank me, but how in the world would you get ahold of me to do that?! ;)

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I tried to book a room & got “this hotel just sold out” message 6 times with two different hotels before it let me actually book one of those hotels. I booked 2 rooms because I have 4 kids & we don’t really all fit comfortably in one room with my husband & I but there was no place in the reservation to request that the 2 rooms booked in the same reservation be adjoining. So I booked the rooms & then called the hotel. The hotel said Priceline would just need to make a note in the reservation & they could do that but priceline needed to make the note because the reservation was locked since it was made through Priceline. I then spent an HOUR on the phone with Priceline customer service to tell me they would consider my request to change my bed type… what?! I’m not requesting to change my bed type! Then I explained again I just want my two rooms to connect. Then they tell me the hotel doesn’t have connecting rooms… but they do. So I said can you note that I want them beside each other or across from each other then? They said the hotel DOES NOT OFFER THAT. Offer what? The hotel doesn’t have rooms beside each other or across from each other for a reservation that is 20 days out & it’s 2 basic double queen bed rooms?! Seriously?! The hotel told me they could happily do that they just needed Priceline to NOTE THE RESERVATION! Ridiculous! Priceline still has not accommodated my request or noted my reservation which would literally take 10 seconds to type a note! Horrible customer service.

Been a VIP member and customer for years but will never use Priceline again!

YOU WILL GET SCAMMED EVEN IF YOU ARE A VIP. Back in February we used Priceline as we have for years to book a hotel. We were so excited because we found a really good deal on a 3 room hotel and we’re so excited because it fit our needs perfectly. The cost was extra compared to the other rooms but it was worth it because it was perfect for us. When we got there we checked in, got up to our room, and it was not the room we paid for. The hotel staff (who were very rude) told us they NEVER offer that room on priceline because it was their presidential suite even though I pulled up the Priceline app right then and there and showed them that yes they do in fact offer it and I had screenshots of me booking the room and of other times you could book the room!! They were fully booked and we couldn’t get our money back through the hotel because it was booked through priceline. So after I was made feel like a crazy person, I then decided to take it up with Priceline. At this point it was late and I was in absolute tears. I contacted support and was on the phone for 3+hours with Priceline’s “customer service” and got looped from “person” to “person” for hours! Starting the conversation over and over. It was a TOTAL SCAM. I disputed the charge but it just got denied so now we had to pay triple what we would have paid for the room we stayed in. I will never ever use this app or their website again and will shout from the rooftops to anyone who will listen.

***BEWARE***DO NOT USE PRICELINE***

My wife and I booked a pet friendly hotel on Priceline because we were traveling with our dog. However, when we arrived at the hotel we were informed that the entire hotel was not pet friendly, just several rooms, none of which were available. Priceline had failed to integrate this nuance into its booking algorithm, so at 6:00PM on a Friday night in a high-traffic city, I had to find a new place for me and my pregnant wife to stay. We ended up having to book an extremely expensive hotel room as a result. When I contacted Priceline about this, their customer service department gaslit me and asserted that it was not their fault and that they can’t control how hotels book people. By this same logic, Priceline would never be responsible for any booking issues, so it’s obviously nonsense. I was ultimately promised that my ticket would escalate and that I’d receive a call back, but here we are weeks later, and no call. I learned my lesson and called the rest of the hotels that we had booked through Priceline, and several of them would not have had rooms for us if I didn’t clarify that we needed a pet friendly room. This could not have been a worse experience for me, and especially as a loyal Priceline customer for years, I am beyond horrified at how poorly they handled this situation. Any reasonable company would just apologize and reimburse us, but somehow Priceline has lost its way. Please don’t support this organization.

Bundle deal

I have used Priceline many times with no problems. This time was a complete failure. I booked a hotel and a rental car from them. The rental car company required a credit card and an extra $400. This isn’t stated anywhere on Priceline so I couldn’t get it. I asked for a refund. The next day I checked on it and it was never processed. The employee I spoke to was extremely rude. I’ve been waiting 3 days now for the refund that was supposed to be 1 businesses day. When I go on the refund tracking it says there is no tracking information. I have called Priceline 2 times and they say it was even though my bank says it wasn’t. Second the hotel wasn’t necessarily their fault, but I pre payed. First night was ok. Second day was horrible. After running around all morning and afternoon went back to the hotel for a quick nap. Someone from the hotel came into my room and told me I had to leave because my reservation was for only one night when it was for 2. The front desk looked at my reservation and corrected it. My room key however wouldn’t work. Every time I left my room I was locked out and had to go to the desk for a new key. They also had to evacuate the hotel at 4am because of a small fire. Whoever was cooking breakfast burned something. Had to stand outside in my pjs for an hour. Couldn’t fall back asleep and have a 7 hour drive today (with a new rental I rented directly). As my name is “Karen” I usually don’t like giving bad reviews, but I spent more time correcting their mistakes than enjoying my short trip with my family.

10 year user never returning

I’ve been loyal to only using Priceline for 10 years and was relatively pleased with everything from prices, locations, and support up until recently. I booked a stay at a Hilton in New Orleans, which did not have any advertisement on whether they allowed pets or not. Note we booked this hotel 1 hour before we arrived at the hotel, as it was a spontaneous trip. Upon arrival to the hotel, with my small dog, the clerk told me they did not allow pets in the building at all. I explained to her that there was no specification on Priceline about not allowing pets. She told me it’s their policy. So next I asked her if a refund, or maybe a voucher to another sister hotel would be available. She told me I had to take it up with Priceline. I then called Priceline and explains the situation, the operator insisted that it was an issue that hotel would need to resolve, back again to the clerk who insisted it was Priceline. At this point I went ahead and just booked another hotel to make sure my family had a place to sleep that night, surely I would be able to be refunded having paid for another hotel. Next, I get Priceline on the phone this time with an alleged ‘supervisor’ who tells me they have a no refund policy and that I would be in no show status and not refunded my payment for the initial booking, even after thanking me for booking a again with them. Where has customer service gone in this day in age ?

Coming from a VIP buyer beware! Deceptive Booking Policy

I was a loyal priceline customer booking upwards to 10 trips a year. my last experience booking flight reservations, and upgrading to First Class was artfully deceptive. When given the option to upgrade no where in the process was it broken down by individual flight but rather the full one way itinerary. When i went to select seats it only gave First Class on one leg of the itinerary. When i called Priceline to find out what was going on i was informed that it was due to a lack of first class seats on the second leg. When i asked how then was i able to purchase the upgrade without being informed of that information, she simply apologized reading her disingenuous script. She then said she was transferring me up the chain. Due to high call volume, no surprise there, i was put in the queue and offered a call back. Based on the conversation with priceline’s customer service i spoke directly with the airline. i was told that Priceline had control of the ticket and that they could easily fix the problem on their end. Not that Priceline is at all concerned about customer service or upright, transparent, honest policy. When i finally received my call back from Priceline i wasn’t given a manager but rather just another agent, who “spoke with management” and there was nothing they could do. Honesty and forthrightness they are not, however, they are well versed in deceptive practices and poor customer service. i would dissuade anyone from booking anything through Priceline.

Messed up

I booked round trip and hotel to San Diego for a special event . First thing that went wrong was my return flight schedule was changed by airline . Airline was happy to refund But Priceline refused to help me book another flight into the package . I had picked an upgraded room and paid extra for it . After the flight problem I wanted to make sure everything was set at the hotel . It wasn’t . The wrong room was booked by a Priceline partner . I checked that the correct room type was available and immediately contacted Priceline to get it corrected . Long story short , despite knowing the wrong room was booked , I was run around for over 3 weeks only to be told , room no longer available , but if I wanted I could upgrade to a suite for an additional $400 night. They were like “oh well” . Didn’t even offer to reimburse me for the change in room rate for the down grade . I had booked a marina view room and now have a non view standard room. I picked the room I did for a reason and they screwed it up effectively screwing up my trip. And they won’t do one thing to try and make it right , didn’t even apologize . I spent hours on the phone being passed around and no one would take responsibility . All of it was booked through the app, they have record of what it was supposed to be , customer service provided no customer service . I am totally upset and disappointed

Disappointed Priceline Customer

I haven't had an opportunity to check in yet, and I made my reservation through Priceline. The front desk woman, the front desk came off as very condescending as I tried to explain that I made a reservation through Priceline, and Priceline said my check-in time was at 1 PM. I have been waiting in an almost empty parking lot since 7 AM, and upon arriving, I had asked if I could check in to a hotel room earlier than my reservation and was willing to pay. The previous front desk told me they were fully booked and that I would have to wait until 1 PM to check in. Check-out time is at 11 am, and their parking lot is empty, except for maybe three cars. They made no attempts to expedite my getting into a room, nor did the hotel want to give me their supervisor’s number to check on their policy. Instead, I was directed after an uncomfortable back and forth to their General Manager's business card, which is supposed to contain their email. I feel as if they are trying to make customers feel less than for booking through third-party apps, but yet I would have never come here if the third-party app did not recommend them. I don't wish to stay here, but the booking is nonrefundable, which may explain their entitlement for rudeness. This isn't the first time Priceline’s VIP deals have let me down. Any attempt to call customer service seems to worsen the situation, leaving me to feel they know what issues will arise beforehand. This will be my last time using Priceline. Hopefully, I can save myself some grief in the future.

VIP Must Stand for “Very Insufficient Protection”

I am a “VIP” and for many years have always been satisfied with Priceline and their customer service. However, the app does not allow for authentic interaction or resolution any longer. The chat is run by a robot and when you get to a live person you are then directed to a call center with an inaudible agent due to poor English and loud background noise. Three agents later I was finally transferred to a supervisor in the same loud call pool, also with poor English. The supervisor only directed me back to the app and could not resolve my issue. There is no email address listed anywhere to file a complaint or seek resolution. Beware of having your credit card on file. My car reservation was automatically charged unbeknownst to me because it was on file. The reservation was made with no ability to cancel. I was going to let it go and just submit a claim for the difference if I found a lower price, but when I did, Priceline would not honor the guarantee claiming that it was a different car class. I booked “Supplier’s Choice” which essentially means that that I could receive the lowest possible class, so how could that not be honored with any class of car?! I have always booked and trusted in Priceline. I feel that this has become a scam. I am ensuring that my card is removed from my account and will not ever use them again unless they honor their guarantee.

Terrible experience, Deceptive practices

I recently had the misfortune of booking through Priceline, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst travel experiences I've ever endured. Their practices are nothing short of crooked, effectively committing highway robbery under the guise of offering "deals." First and foremost, the pricing on their site is utterly deceptive. They lure you in with seemingly low rates, only to hit you with hidden fees and surcharges that inflate the cost dramatically. By the time you reach the checkout, you're paying significantly more than the advertised price. The customer service is equally abysmal. Trying to resolve any issues with them is a nightmare, with long wait times and unhelpful representatives who seem more interested in brushing you off than actually solving problems. Their policies are rigid and unfair, offering no flexibility or understanding in situations where any other reputable company would make accommodations. Additionally, the quality of the accommodations and services booked through Priceline often falls far short of what is promised. I was placed in a substandard hotel room that was nothing like the description, and Priceline refused to assist in rectifying the situation. In summary, my experience with Priceline was a complete disaster. Their dishonest practices and abysmal customer service make them a company to avoid at all costs. Save yourself the headache and potential financial loss—never use Priceline again.

Never using Priceline again! Beware of bad rental locations!

I tell Priceline I can’t pick up a car I booked because of the horrendous reviews of the San Jose Thrifty rental location online they booked me at. I even screenshot them the reviews and asked to cancel it so I can rebook it under a different location using Priceline. I was afraid to call Thrifty due to the reviews from a fear of retaliation that if I picked up the car, I risked being billed random charges from calling out their poor service. I tell Priceline my concerns and they still tell me to call Thrifty to cancel and when I do call Thrifty (which made me nervous calling such a crappy location out) they say they can’t cancel a third party booking and only Priceline can cancel it. I still can’t believe Priceline wouldn’t remove the Thrifty location from their rental listing after seeing the reviews posted the past few days and months that are so bad of customers being overcharged and fraudulently billed for erroneous charges. The fact that Priceline still expected me to pickup the car and didn’t provide a alternative to my booking tells me they do not care about the quality of service/extra charges happening from being booked at a bad location when you book with Priceline. The app chat rep Elvie should be fired as well. I will never book with Priceline again. I ended up eating the cost at Thrifty and booked at Hertz instead for the same date. Do yourselves a favor and don’t use Priceline. Use Hertz, Enterprise, and Budget directly. They have way better service and treat customers better.

DO NOT purchase the “travel insurance” Priceline offers

Priceline’s “travel insurance” for their flights is a complete scam. They offer it on checkout under the guise you will be able to modify/cancel your flight if needed. That is a 100% false advertisement. I booked a flight to Mobile for a tennis tournament - tournament got canceled because of weather. I was told by Priceline to contact Allianz for a refund (the insurance company). The first thing they say is to look at the exclusions on the policy on page 12 and 13. Keep in mind this is a policy you DO NOT have access to until AFTER you purchase the insurance. There are 25 exclusions - basically any reason imaginable that you would need to cancel a flight is excluded. The only thing covered is a medical emergency and even that has certain exclusions. And my flight was an express deal so Priceline will not budge on a refund - customer service will only repeat over and over “the reservation is non refundable and non change able”. NEVER book an express deal through Priceline. As a matter of fact after this I will NEVER use Priceline for anything and I have been a regular customer for 5+ years. Trust me, when it comes to flights book directly with the airline - they will allow you to make changes to your flights. Priceline absolutely will not. It’s worth it to pay the screw money and NEVER think their “insurance” will save you. It will not.

DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE (Liars)

Upon waking up the morning of our trip, an individual in our party was sick. Per CDC guidelines it says “Do NOT travel if you are sick.” We called Priceline to inform them of the update and proceeded to inquire about cancellation and fees that we may have. They told us the Emporio Cancun would not issue a refund however the website specifically details the stipulations of canceling due to illness or COVID. When I asked to speak to a supervisor the agent said she would have to set me up for a call back then stated “The supervisor was not going to help me anyway and …” and she immediately hung up. After speaking to the Supervisor she said let her call the hotel and after being on hold for almost 30 minutes said they wouldn’t issue a refund. We called the hotel ourselves and the reservations manager Wilbert Martinez said that wasn’t true, they had not even received payment from Priceline yet. They further said that due to the circumstances they were not withholding a refund from patrons who were sick and they understood. After speaking with 4 different agents (Kim, Sara, Vanessa and Naomi) for 2 straight days and the hotel themselves (which is another story). They have refused to refund us our $989. My husband and I almost always use a Priceline, so we are extremely disappointed and infuriated with their dishonesty, unreasonable accommodations and poor customer service protocol. I am technically still waiting for a “call back” from a second supervisor since the morning of December 24th.

PLATINUM MEMBER CANCELLING ALL FUTURE BUSINESS WITH PRICELINE

I had the worst experience with Priceline on Oct 7, 2021 so bad that I will be canceling my Priceline card and never doing business with them again. I happen to be a PLATINUM member, but they aren’t even willing to refund me my money (during Christmas time that I need for my children) after I was forced to stay at a hotel that was unsafe and dirty with roaches on the bed and toliet, drug dealers, gun shots, people overdosed in the hallway, and my door lock was even broken. As soon as the sun came up (because I didn’t have enough money to pay for another room that night because Priceline refused to help me and refund me any money that night) An extremely understanding nice lady (Trish) said she would refund my money with no problem and then Priceline refunded my money in seconds even though they had told me MULTIPLE times that there was no way it would even be possible for them to do that, BUT I just looked on my statement and they only refunded one night so now I have a past due balance PLUS a late fee of a place I never wanted to stay at in the first place. As a platinum member I would have thought they would be happy to help me with this issue especially during Christmas time, but no they refused so I will be cancelling my Priceline card and never giving them another dime because they are greedy crooks who only care about money and not their customers.

Nightmare and heartbreak

I wanted to plan a dream vacation to Cabo for my 50th birthday and my mother’s 75th birthday. Same money for a very long time and wanted nothing but the best on our girls trip. I was confused on how to book on line so I called. The person that help me arranged everything for us. Plane tickets round trip, Resor at playa grande Los Cabo’s and private transportation to and from airport. Everything sounded perfect. I asked to make sure I was ok to travel since I only had a passport card and a resident card. He checked and said everything was fine I didn’t need anything else. I paid everything.I trusted the Priceline employee. Then the nightmare. Come to find out a week before the trip. I find out we both needed a passport. The Priceline guy lied to us. I was able to figure out getting a passport for my mom. But it was impossible for me to get one tried canceling the but everything was nonrefundable, the money I had saved for years for such a special birthday for the both of us was lost. I tried calling Priceline, and they only blamed it on the hotel, and never took in consideration that the person that I lied to me was a priceline employee. No one took responsibility. I ended up losing all my money I had saved for years and they ruined my 50th birthday and my mom’s birthday as well. What a shame such a big company cannot take responsibility for their own employees, and not training.

Not to be trusted and does not honor sales

When you purchase something online or by phone you have a trust that the purchase for good and services will be honored by the company taking your money. And when a company dishonors that trust by taking your money but then not providing the services or goods promised, most people would consider it fraud. Priceline took payment for airline tickets and then refused to refund that payment when the flights were cancelled. Seems like an easy response by a respectable company to send the money back, especially since it was no fault of the customer that the service wasn’t provided, but Priceline has chosen to keep the money. They claim it’s because of the Coronavirus and a lack of employees to provide the refund. There are literally tens of millions of newly unemployed people that could be accomplishing the job Priceline refuses to complete. You can use this app and pray things go well and you are provided the service you’ve paid for, but know that when things don’t go right, and sometimes they don’t, Priceline will not respect you and honor the trust you’ve placed in them by sending them your money. You’ll be gambling your money on a company with no honor. Priceline has since asked to “revisit my case for review,” standard response to make it look like it cares. I HAVE CALLED DOZENS OF TIMES TO REVISIT MY CASE! The only thing Priceline should be reviewing, is how it treats customers. Refund the money you owe.

I’ll NEVER trust this app/website anymore! It took my money and left me without a room!!

I recently tried to book a room and when I attempted to pay the app said the room was no longer available which I understood that it’s a first come first serve basis as the deals are very cheap on this website. But when I tired to book again my card was declined because Priceline had taken out and put a hold on my money as if I had been able to book the room! It might’ve been forgivable if it only happened once but this happened 5 times!!!! Yes I know “fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me” but I expected this app to be updated properly so it would actually be useable otherwise it’s useless to me if I can’t trust if I will actually get a room or if my money will just be taken out and I’m left without a room. Each time this happened I had to call my bank and explain to them what happened so they’ll release the funds back to me. And one time it happened after hours so I had to wait until the next day to call my bank and have them release the funds. Which left me without a room and without my money for the night. And it’s useless to call Priceline’s customer service because it’s a joke! All I heard was William Shatner’s recorded voice and then I was asked to put in my reservation date so they could look up my reservation but of course I had none and there’s no way to talk to a live person without first putting in a valid reservation date. So again I was screwed! I’ll never use this app again!!! From now on I’ll use any other hotel reservation app but this one!!!

I have been a loyal customer sense 2010, recommending their services to my friends and family. Over the past two years that has all changed . This is the 3rd time priceline has taken my money without giving me a service, leaving me with nothing. Priceline has pretty much screwed me over for lack of better words. On more than one occasion Priceline has had deals on there website and app that are not actually available, yet they they have charged my card leaving me with nothing now I have to wait 8-15 business days for my refund to be processed. Not only have they blamed me for not using a credit card next they blame the bank and I will be seeing my money back to me in enough time when all reality they need to take responsibility and update her apps they don’t have offers that are outdated. Not only will they Blame you for using a debit card but they will also blame your bank or the hotel before even beginning to take responsibility. When ever I have called there costumer service, they just blame blame blame, and do nothing to fix the situation or make it better, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THERE CLIENTS. It’s not my fault I used a debit card it’s not my banks fault for having to refund MY MONEY it’s Priceline’s fault for having a deal that is outdated and still taking my money..I’ve given priceline so many chances but this is the last straw and stay away from Priceline. Can’t ever change your email…

This may be my last time using Priceline. I’ve tried a few times this year to change my email address to one I have access to and Priceline doesn’t allow the user to edit their own email at all. I’ve tried multiple times through the app, desktop, customer service chat, and by calling customer service. You can edit/change your password displayed right below your email address, but not the email address itself. Customer service isn’t even aware of the issue at first, because they always make an attempt to try and change it on their end and then end up telling me I’ll have to do it on my end because they aren’t able to make the change (even though my reason for calling was to have them change my email for me because I am unable to). This time they said the only thing I could do to be able to use a different email would be to create a new account; however, this means you will lose all accumulated points/rewards/trips/etc. because they will not transfer (I had to ask before exercising that option and making a mistake). This makes no sense and is unfair to the customer. It’s absolutely ridiculous that you can’t change your email no matter what, by any means. This is all completely unacceptable. This is a basic feature to have. Who designed this app?

CARELESS customer support after I’ve used this app 500+ times

My Valentine’s Day was completely ruined because I was given hotel that was overbooked and eventually three long hours later after being on hold with customer service in the freezing cold in Michigan, I was relocated to a much further 30 minute away hotel and was not even able to check in until almost 9 at night so it was a complete waste of money and time, not to mention it was Valentine’s Day so my poor girlfriend had the worst time. And I was told I would be refunded the price of the hotel for the inconvenience and now Priceline is trying to tell me they’re only giving me $18 for the inconvenience so I basically wasted my money on a hotel in the first place in the $18 didn’t even cover the gas drive to the second hotel. I have used priceline at least 500 times in the past 3-4 years and this will be my LAST because I cannot believe this is how they treat their VIP platinum members just seemingly not to care at all that my night and my money was wasted I will be booking directly through hotel websites from now on horrible app I will not recommend to anybody. If you’ve read this far.. I have used Priceline for the last 2 yrs and never had a problem until now … I booked a hotel for the night due to power outage Arrived at my hotel only to find their hot water wasn’t working Operational Manager said Priceline was notified So I called Priceline to be moved to a new hotel The customer service lady appears to have no knowledge of what was going on So I let her speak with operational Manager John and he confirmed what was happening even told her he was refunding the money with no penalties… I then asked the lady to move me to another hotel Now mind you I wasn’t asking for my money back I was asking just to get new reservation at different hotel she proceeded to tell me I would have to book new reservation on line meaning I have to pay another $100+ when they already have the money I asked to speak with her supervisor who was just as rude to me ……. Then was transferred to the reservation department Who tried to make me feel better by saying he was gonna fix it and no extra money was needed …. LIAR he finds me a hotel and tells me it was gonna cost me $139 in Worthington Ohio on the North side of Columbus when I specifically told him I need to be close to Reynoldsburg Ohio on the Eastside and told he was ready for my card Number ……I politely told him Thank you I’ll just go home and delete your app if this is how you treat VIP I don’t want any parts of this company …….. Contact hotel before booking thru them because they won’t be any help if something is wrong at the hotel and PRICELINE I definitely want my money back

Star ratings are completely made up! Don’t believe anything Priceline says!

We paid one of their Express Deals for a 2 1/2 star hotel. We got an absolute dump that wreaks of cigarette smoke, is filthy dirty, disgusting! Whole second floor room wiggles when my husband shook his foot up and down. Bed linens are dirty, bathroom has what looks like blood on the cabinets. I’m itching all over & have bites on my back. I’m not sure it’s due to mold or bug bites! Priceline stands behind their 2 1/2 star review for this hotel even though its 1 1/2 on Yelp. It’s super gross. The ceilings even in the halls show water damage. The emergency lights look like they've had a leak above as well. The ac unit makes all kinds of dying moaning noises all night. The bed feels like we’re lying on the floor. The floor is so gross that we won’t take off our shoes! I showered with flip flops on because everything is so gross. There’s hair on everything. Doesn’t look like this room has been cleaned out between guests. Pubic hair on bed sheets. The “breakfast” consists of breakfast bars & tiny muffins thrown in a basket. There’s never anyone manning the front desk. Priceline will do nothing about it. They keep saying that their standards are more strict than others & it’s a 2 1/2 star hotel. That’s absolutely bogus. Obviously this is an issue with Priceline because they’ve got a very detailed canned response for it! Don’t trust Priceline’s star ratings!

Horrible Customer Service

I have used Priceline regularly for the last few years, booking hotel rooms through them several times a month. When there are no issues, they’re great, but the times there are issues make it unbearable. I booked a hotel using the app based on it being in a specific location, and being able to get a suite with a kitchenette at a great price. Once I received the confirmation, I realized that the hotel was located approx 20 miles away from where they showed on the map, and I had a reservation for a standard room. I was told by hotel employees that they had contacted Priceline several times regarding the incorrect information, but they had made no effort to change it. So after my family drove nearly an hour out of our way to stay in a room smaller than I had intended, I let customer service know about the incorrect information and requested a refund based on it. After a few communications with different CS reps, they have yet to acknowledge that the information was inaccurate, accept responsibility, compensate me for my inconvenience or correct the info on their site. They are intentionally deceiving their customers. Priceline’s entire purpose is to curate travel information to simplify the process for users. If I have to use other sites and apps to verify that their info is correct before using them, then they are useless to me.

VIP premium service

Look here whoever this is. You need to pay attention to this : Someone with some decision making power better call me to straighten this thing out because as it sits it appears that a VIP member of the Priceline club purchased a night stay at a hotel that told him that they could not accommodate due to being completely full and when this VIP member attempted to contact Priceline to resolve the customer service was horrible and made this VIP customer feel as if he was being made fun of and they were deliberately trying to make things difficult . This all resulting in the VIP Priceline customer sleeping in his car and being completely exhausted and not prepared for some important things that required a restful night sleep . After being on the phone all day still the resolution was being laughed at and Priceline “offering”a full refund . One of the representatives from Priceline actually mentioned that is was appropriate for me to offer them thanks for providing me a refund . I will continue this on every single outlet Priceline puts their advertisement . I’m not calling any more numbers to be put on hold . Someone needs to call me and this needs to be a deal where they stop what they are doing and make that call because as of now I am considering what’s happened theft and also a number of other things

Horrible

So one night while traveling to Birmingham from Florida with my 10 month old twins my sis and I decided to get a room and just start fresh the next morning after driving 8+ hours with at least 2 more to go!!! My poor twin babies were sick of siting still and were screaming their heads off. So we’re booked a room express it was very very lat like 2:30 -3am and I was very careful about the dates and times. It was a Sunday turning Monday so I made sure it was check in 330 a and check out on the same day (just a few hours) 8am. It let me book the room no problems we were just glad to get babies out the car and stop crying. We got to front desk window it was starting to rains and could NOT get no one to the window!!! I LITERALLY BEAT ON THE WINDOW. I put my face down in the little part where I pass money thru and yelled I rang bell….. nothing!!! After about 15 minutes of beating and knocking and calling I decided to just call and get my money back……. It’s really raining now and I’m soaked babies ar wet it a messs……. Well I get them on the phone and they tell me checkin in isn’t till 10am!!’ I said “I put 3am to 8am for check in and out times on the reservation!!! I have 2 babies and it’s rainin and we just want to sleep for like 3 hours then get back on road so we can get home. “ She said I’m sorry ma’am but these are non refundable!!” I said “yes I understand but this isn’t MY fault!!! NO WHERE on the website, nor at the hotel on window, was there something saying I can’t checkin between certain hours. NO WHERE!!!” They said that it wasn’t their fault either and they NEVER DID REFUND MY MONEY !! Therefore I will NEVER rent a hotel thru them again!!

Buyer Beware - Do not trust Priceline’s Express Deal ratings

Paid for a 2 1/2 star hotel that was supposed to be the equivalent of a Holiday Inn Express. The place was a dump with carpet that smelled like people had been smoking around it for 50 years and harsh cleaning chemicals. It also felt very unsafe. As another reviewer said, Priceline offers no guarantees and doesn’t back their products. I was told there was nothing they could do because it was non-refundable. We ended up losing the money and having to stay somewhere else. For the current trip I am on, I tried doing another Express Deal, this time with a 4-Star hotel, that is supposed to be the equivalent of a Hilton. The room is what the 2 1/2 star hotel should have been. It’s a non-smoking room that smells like people have been smoking and we had to turn off the heater because it kept making a loud clanging noise. The carpet is tired, furniture is old and chipped and there are barely any outlets. The woman who checked us in had her mask below her nose and despite the signs to wear masks, no one was enforcing it. Priceline should do better and be honest about it’s offerings. If I am going to gamble and let them chose the hotel based on a rating, the hotel should actually fit that rating. Update: Priceline’s response to these negative reviews is to call them for help. But the point is they don’t help. I called and used the chat and the only thing they did was to give me a 15% off coupon. However, I can only use the coupon on an express deal. Now that I’ve been burned with two express deals, the coupon is a waste as I will never use that service again.

Very Horrible First Experience

I am requesting a full refund due to a serious issue with my reservation. When I arrived at the property, there was no staff available to check me in or show me to my room. I waited approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, and no one ever arrived. During that time, I repeatedly called the property’s phone number, but no one answered. The following day, I contacted the property again and explained the situation. The representative advised me to contact Priceline directly regarding a refund. I then called the customer service number provided to me. After entering my trip information and requesting to speak with a live representative, I was placed on hold. After approximately two minutes, the call was redirected to a survey asking me to rate the assistance I received, despite never speaking with an agent, and then the call disconnected. This experience has been extremely frustrating. I paid for accommodations that I was unable to access because there was no staff available to check me in and no way to obtain assistance. As a result, I am requesting a full refund. This was my first time using Priceline for a hotel booking, and I am very disappointed with how this situation was handled. I would appreciate a prompt resolution and confirmation of my refund request. I’ve been trying so hard to keep my cool and be respectful.

Customer Representatives are the RUDEST!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would! I made a same-day hotel reservation via Priceline 12 hours ahead of when I arrived to check in. After a four hour drive with my young daughter in tow and my phone battery severely low, I arrived at the hotel- only to be told by the front desk clerk that my reservation is visible but she cannot check me in UNLESS I PAY NOW- because Priceline has failed to send the card/payment authorization info to the hotel so it could be completed on their side! My other option was to call Priceline (right then) so the could remit the payment authorization, so I did. The rep immediately understood and asked me to hold while he contacted the hotel directly to resolve the matter. HE TOOK 6 MINUTES TO MAKE THAT CALL! I couldn't believe it! Of course my phone died while I sat on hold, but thankfully, it was resolved. The hotel staff was professional, empathetic, considerate, and as accommodating as they could be during the HOUR-LONG DEBACLE that also affected their flow of business. Once in our room, I charged my phone and called Priceline to complain. I was met with a very rude, dismissive rep, who assumed I wanted something for free. He cut me off several times as I spoke and said "it happens!" when I told him his lack of empathy and consideration were unacceptable. I think it's worth pulling the call and playing it back. I will be leaving a Google review about this experience, and sharing it with all my friends, family, and social media followers. I have zero plans of ever using or recommending your services again. Despicable and Deplorable!

Booked a Hotel, ended up in a Motel. They would not refund after they were contacted about it. Said they couldn’t guarantee which room we got. I don’t mind a different room, just the difference between a hotel and a motel are huge. Pictures showed a nice carpeted room, this room had scuffed up laminate floors. Would be a great room for someone working in town, not a family of 4. Will never use Priceline again

Price difference of $300, scam?

I got a ticket with Priceline around $1900. First, it took a while for them to process my request. When they confirmed, I was asked to confirm my credit card via identifying a small transaction to my account. I confirmed my credit card. Their email said that after this confirmation we will sent you your e-ticket. I did not hear back from them in a few hours. As I kept waiting the whole day, their agent called me after a few hours and said that you have to pay around $2200 to get this ticket. I waited for them the whole day just to hear that they will be charging me 300 hundred extra, despite the fact that they agreed to give me the ticket on around 1900 initially. It not only wasted my whole day, but I also missed other flights that I kept as second and third options. As a student, $300 is a big deal for me. I said I am not taking the flight with you. Fortunately on another site, I booked another ticket on around $1700 with just 2 hours lay over (unlike Priceline’s 16 hours). My ticket was confirmed within a few minutes on the same price they showed on their website. I would never ever use this site for anything. They rip you off! I wish I could have looked at their reviews before making a deal with them! But those who have not been tricked, please avoid them.

Fraudulent

Booked a hotel through Priceline and they charged me an estimated “tax” fee of almost $200 for various hotel taxes. The hotel charged me an urban tax fee upon checkout and informed me this is always charged directly to the individual and not through third party bookings. They provided me an invoice. When I called Priceline to ask what the “additional tax” they included in the booking, they could not provide me any details on this. The hotel confirmed no additional taxes were charged to the third party site. Priceline did not pay the hotel taxes as mentioned in their policy and pocketed it. They would not provide me with an invoice and said it was unavailable. Be aware that there are additional fees when booking through Priceline and the extremely high taxes they charge you don’t actually go towards hotel taxes. Will never book through Priceline again. Horrible experience.

Like , how the heaven would I carry those while just coming off an airplane. She offered to transfer my call to advantage but ended up disconnecting the call in me . But the hold is there on my card. Try another Express deal, same result and another large hold on my card. Ended with with over a 1000$ hold but no reservation. Called customer service and they offered to book an hotel that I could pay on site, for a much higher fees, and told me it would take a few days for the hold to be lifted.
