Realistic!It's pretty good, and definitely worth the 99 cents. If you read the reviews farther down you see someone asking about a return key, there is none, however it is replaced by a lever that pushes the paper back to the left, it's in the top left hand side..Version: 2.0.0
My Dream App!Ever since I laid eyes on this app, I have wanted it from the very beginning! However I'm hesitant to spend money on apps, no matter the price, so I held myself back from getting it...but I looked at the sample pictures and for a few months I ITCHED to get my fingers click-clacking away on this app! Finally, I realized a family friend had given me an iTunes gift card for Christmas, and I dug it up, redeemed it, and voila, my dream app is now snugly in my utilities folder! Not only is this app fun to use, its interface is gorgeous! And when you turn on the sound and start typing, it's like you're typing it for real! I love the realistic way you "press enter" and how it chimes joyfully when you've nearly reached the end of a page. Everything about it is 5 Stars! I write so much stuff on MiTypewriter, and it's a pleasure to do so! It's a MUST. HAVE..Version: 2.0.0
This is funThis app is so cool! Its exactly like a real type writer!! I just wish that you could save what you wrote as a picture wrather than emailing it to yourself. have recemened this app to everyone i know who has an iphone/ipod touch!!! Verizon is Doing You NO favorsOk, I'll first admit, I did not read the information on the app to see it was for iPhone not iPad. So I will accept my frustration there. I am however using this on the iPhone and enjoy it so far. Verizon on the other hand on large bill board ads in Washington DC have this app running on an iPad. Big as day. I would suggest you look strongly at how your image is being used..Version: 3.1
Cute, but kind of disappointingI like the look of it, and it types easier than the iPhone keypad=) I thought maybe it would let me send texts that looked like an old typewriter font. It doesn't, but that's my bad for not reading it clearly. It's fun, but I wish it sent emails amd texts in old time fonts:(.Version: 2.0.0

It is a nice typewriter emulatorIt feels mosly like an old typewriter. The keys, animations, and sounds feel about right. It's too bad apple doesn't support user customization of the keyboard across all apps. It currently (v1.3) only supports emailing the text you have entered. It might be more useful if the author included an action (maybe a single tap on the typed text) that would transfer all text to the clipboard. Currently you can go into the email stage and copy all text from there. I'm ok with the keys animating up. There wouldn't be much point in them animating down. But maybe you could add an option to turn it off. On the iphone the popup keys are helpful to avoid mistakes. A few things I would like to see change are: 1. As mentioned earlier, a way to copy text. If you want to go above and beyond, include sound/animation like pulling the sheet out. Maybe it could store the last few memos somewhere - I would like to be able to come back to this text if I screw up the paste to another app. 2. do carriage return with a swipe action. it doesn't recognize a swipe on the icon. maybe it could recognize both a a tap and a swipe. 3. a help page. it took me a while to find the carriage return. and then a while to figure out how to actuate it. 4. maybe a swipe up/down to scroll the text. there are only five lines visible at a time. 5. pressing shift should undo shift lock - that is the way i remember it working. at the moment shift seems locked out when lock is on. 6. multi touch use of the shift key might make it feel better -- i.e. hold shift with one finger and type a key with another, instead of shift latching on until next key is pressed. I can see how this might annoy some people familiar with iphone behavior though. It is a nice little app. Probably worth a buck or two if you think you would use a retro interface for more than a few mintues..Version: 0
