Again with these updates. Disappointed.I used to use Pinterest in a daily basis several times a days and now I use it a couple of days out of the week if I feel like it sometimes. So for the first time in a few days I opened it again and couldn’t use it. It basically said that if I wanted to save any new pins I couldn’t do so until I updated the app. I still genuinely absolutely love this app and everything it’s supposed to be used for but now these updates have made everything so much more difficult to use, it doesn’t look nice and clean like it used to, a lot of things are almost kinda grainy looking now in my opinion, there are so many ads everywhere, and now I just had to update it without my choosing to do so. I had started using this app since basically the beginning but now even though I love everything it’s for I’m getting frustrated with it. I’ll continue to use it just because I’ve got so many things that I’ve saved and loved over the years but I’m getting extremely tired of these changes. I miss the way the old way it used to be. No ads, I could save things far easier (it would keep your last three boards you used at the top), it didn’t feel like basically every other app out there as far as looks, and it made things so easy. I would very rarely have any bugs or anything to fix. I’m still giving it a 5 star review because it is something that I do still love, I just sincerely wish they would stop trying to add a bunch of unnecessary things to it and just keep it to how it was. Stop the annoying updates on random things pleaseFor one, the size and shape of the “pin” button changes every few weeks for no reason, and also the animation for when you click on a pin in the homescreen changed a few days ago and it was better before (now it like slides from the left of the screen whereas before it popped from the homescreen instead), as well as being able to move the image around your screen which made it so you could see around the “visual search” and other buttons in the corner that block that part of the image, and now you can’t really do that??? also PLEASE stop turning off comments in created pins, I understand this might be for a safety reason or something but it is VERY annoying especially when a creator was trying to make a pin that users engage with BY COMMENTING ON IT?? and on MY pins they’re often disabled for no apparent reason and then the pins get absolutely no interaction or views. One suggestion I have that is a small thing but is frustrating is when you have sections in a board they don’t switch places by most recent, which idk I just would like it better than manually ordering them. Also I hate the feature where the names of your board are across the top of your screen constantly, never going away, I just don’t like that the names of my boards are always visible from my home page (because some of them have goofy names that are embarrassing 😭😭). y’all just change things too often… but overall I love the app and have been using for many years so❤️❤️.Version: 12.1
This app is amazing~!This app is so outstanding to me because it takes note of what you’ve been searching and clicked on. It shows you more things that you would like to see! Another reason why I love this app is because, it gives you ideas and allows you to use your imagination. It spreads your creativity! It lets you do something fun besides sitting around doing nothing. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be doing the activity. My last reason really touches me and is truly wonderful and kind. If you come home from work, school, or from anywhere, and you searched up something like 'depressed' at the top of the screen it will say something like, “If you’re feeling sad or stressed, here are some resources that may help improve your mood.” It also says that Pinterest is not a professional in helping with this kind of stuff and it would be better to talk to a professional about it instead. It still provides things like, ways to be mindful and caring for yourself and others. Really just seeing the good in life. It shows you how to relax and think about your strengths. It also provides the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline for someone to talk to. If your depressed or somewhere around those areas please, please, PLEASE talk to someone about it because people care and love you even if you don’t feel that way. There will always be at least one person who cares about you very much even if they don’t know you. So please talk to someone and get help in very way you can. These people are here for a reason. Private accSo Pinterest, I am really not like writing a review on that. I’m really just like saying talking about the privacy policy because I’m 17 and I put my age as 10 because I didn’t want really adult inappropriate content because I’m 17 year-old so I was just really upset because I have a private account since your policy 16 under is a private account but I really wanna account and if I don’t all my progress and content so I’m pretty upset and I just basically sign out of that app and signed back in. It recognizes my account and it puts me back in my account and I don’t have my agent which I wanna put my agent so I just would really want an update on the app because, I am just having some trouble because I’m 17 year old and I think everyone’s really responsible by the age of 11 so I think you should change that privacy policy to 11 because I mean by six by 17th they’re gonna be on Instagram and things like that I’m on TikTok and things but sinceI’m private account so I think you just really change the private account setting up because by the age 11, they’re really responsible and I think they can handle what they put up on their account and post so yeah that’s my dilemma but yeah so please considering updating this app because it would really help a lot and everyone would probably need this too please consider this idea and if you don’t i’ll just have to live with a private account for six years although I would be like in my 20s by then so yeah please consider my idea.Version: 12.29
An Unlimited Vision BoardPinterest has always been a must have tool for me, either by using it on desktop or on my phone. It’s an amazing place to get ideas for food, DIY projects, art, crafts, and so so much more. I use it for inspiration for pretty much everything. I also love that there is a business account version where I can grow my following, post my content, and watch the interactions with my posts. Ultimately what I love about Pinterest the most is it becomes the space you create. However I do feel that there are a few things that can be updated and taken out. There are way too many ads now, practically my whole feed is purchasing options and advertisements. While I do like the option of when looking at certain pins that it gives you a link to visit their website, the shopping feed is not what Pinterest is. Neither are the constant ads that replace pins. Another thing that I think would increase interaction with pins is when you visit the app, the pins don’t automatically refresh. I can’t count the amount of times I have opened the app and seen a pin I’d like to save but can’t get to because the feed refreshes automatically. The next thing I’d like to add is i constantly get emails about “violating community guidelines” for pins I’ve saved. Recipes, craft inspiration, character designs, and quotes. It’s more so off-putting since it isn’t any of the pins I’ve created, yet saving seemingly harmless pins is in violation..Version: 13.27

Loved, but now disappointedI absolutely loved Pinterest. I used it daily and I had a lot of boards. Pinterest is so great for ideas and it’s where I got most of my inspiration for basically everything. However, recently I opened the app and I was logged out. I had to log back into my account and was surprised to see that my account was deactivated. This notification gives a few reasons as to why my account might have been deactivated, but none would have applied to me. I definitely never requested for my account to be deactivated. I contacted Pinterest over a week ago and I still have not heard back. So I sent another request to get my account back up and still, no response. I got an email saying that they would get back to me when they had reviewed my account, but it’s been well over a week. I feel like it should not take that long to get back to me about getting my account reactivated. I don’t create or post anything on Pinterest, I only save things. I haven’t violated any community guidelines so it’s very very disappointing that my account was deactivated for seemingly no reason and Pinterest seems to have no interest getting it back. I used Pinterest literally daily and it was one of my favorite apps. I seriously loved this app and I don’t have any interest creating a whole new account because I had put a lot of effort into my previous one. This is extremely disappointing and I hope that I hear from someone soon because it has been a very long time to just review my account..Version: 11.25
Pin sound driving me crazyFor me, there’s milestone in my life…life before and after pinterest. for us visually obsessed artists, designers, or other mood board makers and visual mappers - there is nothing like pinterest. it’s one of my favorite apps. i’m not here to complain about the real but understandable evolution into ‘guiding’ us to shopping pins degrading the algorithm to finding more relevant visuals or making navigation more confusing. i get it. make your money…as long as we still have zoom to see visually similar. actually there are ads and buyable pins in interested in but i have a hard time saving. y’all could make it easier and more fun to shop on pinterest. i love the idea of visual shopping!! will give five stars when it’s easier and more fun to specifically shop. [edit: updated to 4 star reflect sound setting addition - thank you!!!!] but. the. pin. sound. ☹️ i know. who cares? let me paint u a picture: “mmm, what an elegant design…save for later.” DOINK! “that vase would look great, I might buy it…” DOINK! “such elegant relaxing textures here” DOINK! for those sitting next to me it sounds like i’m playing a slot machine game or some kind of ADD frogger. i hate it so much. put the phone on silent? but why should i have to just for this app? then i have to remember to turn it off silent and miss calls or meetings? why isn’t there a setting to turn off the sound or at least turn it way down? it’s seriously affecting my experience to where i don’t even want to pin anymore..Version: 10.8
Pinterest & Love Through COVID-19Pinterest has a great selection of options and variety which has helped me explore every single part of me becoming. I relate the term with my future pretense of who I see my self becoming after and while I completely soul searching and practice mindfulness in every and all my affairs. Pinterest has helped me explore any and every topic of motherhood, as I suffered through postpartum, lonely nights I come to clearly see how becoming a single mother at 30, would pour mercy on my life and just dedicated myself to an entire season of resisting my selfish desires of going out to practicing my life to order through ordain discipline and prayer and my daughter I pray for you every where that I touch someone somewhere...someone out there understands exactly where my heart was that season before turning a new chapter. I pray that you too find yourself when the going gets too much and you can not unweb yourself a day of rest...I pray for you that you indulge in a visionary board just like I have and you able to post all the things that represent the new life and new you and your plans and all the future things you are looking for in your journey of life. (Oh, there’s a button at the bottom right corner and you can choose to see the board and no one else. I look at that board day and night making It a journal, if you will, adding new things daily, or restructuring the other. One of my favorite apps!I’ve had Pinterest since I was in 5th grade. (I’m almost an 8th grader now) it is such an amazing app with great qualities. I’ve found my true style/aesthetic and things that make me happy by looking at recommendations or even searching up “teen girl clothing inspiration” sometimes I like watching the funny videos that pop up on my feed but it glitches A LOT. I love making boards and saving ideas for Christmas or my birthday. You can get followers for having people with the same interests and make friends! You can also easily go to websites and be able to buy something cute or comfy you found right off. If you don’t like people seeing what your saving you can make your boards private. Or if you really don’t want people seeing your profile you can make the whole thing private and you can accept certain accounts to follow you. Another cool feature of Pinterest is you can create your own pins/videos. I have a friend who creates dance videos of herself and also days in the life of herself. She’s very cautious of who follows her because, she’s also in my grade. She pays attention to the comments she gets on her videos and makes sure no creeps follow/say something odd to her. Because that has actually happen before and we both witnessed it and reported the man. I recommend you getting this app if you want ideas for a bedroom, or maybe gift ideas for the future. Maybe even food! I’ve found some tasty desserts and dishes while using Pinterest. So overall this is one of the best apps I’ve had! (I still have it to this day but my all time favorite I have right now is Snapchat).Version: 11.43.2
Keep the and my beloved app here plsPinterest is going to be my first review I hope the rumors of Pinterest leaving the App Store and such are untrue as Pinterest has also as allowed me to express my creativity, create ideas and concepts and such from others pins, ideas and boards and being able to make my own also and even with ai some of the ai features I’m happy to say I can turn off basically all off them if you please (as I have done) and the organizing tools for the boards or projects only keeps me on there for hours more I could spend if not or more time on Pinterest than on some other social media apps and I leave feeling better about myself or abt my life in general which I can’t say about of majorly of other social medias and I feel like Pinterest is one of the very few places still left for one to be able to personalize and express there creativity in a more personalized and also less publicized way at times also apart from other apps which I find refreshing so I hope to continue to be able to use Pinterest over the following years just as family has done before me for years before I got my own phone as we’d plan meals, trips, outfits, activities and much more just from ideas/posts from Pinterest, it’s the one social media app I’d keep if I had to choose so please keep Pinterest here if the rumors are true - a Pinterest lover.Version: 13.46
Love/hateLemme start off by saying I love this app as an artist able to find exactly what I need for inspiration or ideas that may be on the app but I HATE the TOS system bots they have in place they give you violation strikes for pinning the most obscure things that don’t even break Tos guidelines it’s ridiculous it’s makes the app so annoying and frustrating to use cos I have to be VERY careful not pin anything that would trip the tos bots I could pin something as niche and innocent as sonic the hedgehog and I would STILL get a strike even when I’m not using the app I get with something egregious and then when I appeal it and gets reinstated it’ll be image that’s not even THAT bad that it has to be bots making these errors no human would sit up there and make such a claim! it’s like walking on eggshells it’s crazy! As of late I am very annoyed and unhappy with this whole “Pinterest purist” movement that’s happening on the app you can’t even pin anatomy for Pete’s sake! I’ve been trying to find alternatives and I found some but post have a “pin limit” blocked by paywall and I’m writing this review cos I don’t want my account suspended again cos I “somehow” broke the guidelines it’s not fair found recently that when you pin something YOU become the new original poster which is stupid I found the “sensitive image” on YOUR platform why am I getting hit with the gavel for that??.Version: 13.39
Won’t work on my phoneI love this app, it’s amazing, definitely the most useful app I own as an artist and writer. There are so many inspirational ideas and tips I’ve found and I have been using it for years to improve on both. You can create private boards if you don’t want the public to see them, you can collaborate, you can make your own pins and comment on them. And there are SO MANY!! Loads and loads of ideas and inspiration. And if you’re not looking for that, there’s content of anything else as well. There’s truly nothing you can’t find on here. I would give it a five star rating if it weren’t for a huge problem I haven’t been able to fix for an entire year. The app won’t work on my phone, at all! It works perfectly fine on my tablet and computer so I know it’s not just my account bugging out. I’ve searched everywhere for a solution and have tried every advice I have gotten but so far nothing has worked. Whenever I open the app from my phone every pin is an empty grey box. I wouldn’t mind this if it weren’t for the fact I like using it on my phone more than my other devices. The screen is smaller and fits the picture perfectly, I can write notes on pins that I cannot do for some reason on my tablet, or view my favourite ones, and it is overall easier to use. If there is a way to fix this problem that could work I would gladly take it, it’s really an amazing app, I’m just so tired of not being able to use it on my phone..Version: 12.41
Love this app but I have a few problemsI’ve had Pinterest for over two years and I love it! Recently I discovered collages which I’ve been obsessed with making but there’s a problem. When I put text in my collage and delete the black border around it after I’ve published my collage and then click on it the black border shows up again. And it’s not like I can get rid of it because once you publish a collage you can’t edit it whatsoever (which I also don’t like) and so now all my text has a weird black border around it covering all the photos of my collage. And also I made a collage and published it, and then the app just decided to not save it. It’s not in my collages section, it’s not in created or work in progress. It’s not even in art where I saved it to. The only place I could find it was in recently saved so I had to quickly favorite it so it didn’t get lost. But it’s only with that one collage, I’ve made others and they all save. Another things is that there are a lot of ads, once I was scrolling and there was only one actual post while the others were all just ads. Sometimes I like it when relevant ads pop up, but I don’t like that many. Ok last problem, sometimes I’ll scroll through my old boards to delete some things I don’t like anymore and then when I click edit the screen just freezes. It’s so annoying because I have to close out of the entire app and then scroll all the way back to where i was before it froze. And then sometimes it freezes with the same pin two or three times in a row! All I want to do is delete a pin!.Version: 12.19
Stop overthinking the updates.I really love Pinterest, but I am so tired of getting used to the updates when getting a new feature just to have it taken away. Right now I’m really just annoyed with the fact that I use to be able to select up to 50 pins at a time and either delete or move them and now I can’t. I loved that feature because I pin a crap ton of things (usually onto one board specifically for pinning sprees) and it makes it so much easier to organize it later on. When I went to go organize it again and get everything ‘where it needs to be’ I found that I could still select pins, but I couldn’t actually do anything with them. There was no delete button, no move button, not even a done button. just the X on the left corner. At first I thought it was just a glitch on my phone, so I restarted the app and it was still doing it. I was still convinced it was just my phone and thought ‘maybe tomorrow it’ll be fine’ but today is tomorrow and it’s still doing it. I still don’t understand if it’s a glitch or not because I don’t why you would take that feature away, and also why you would still let us select pins but not be able to do anything once they are selected. It feels like a glitch but if it wasn’t I would really appreciate having that feature back because not to sound dramatic, it’s almost making me not want to use it right now just because of how overwhelming it is to sit there and have to one by one organize all your pins. it’s time consuming and overwhelming. please fix or bring that feature back..Version: 8.12.1
Helpful help 🤗I like Pinterest because there’s so many things you can do! It’s vary helpful to use wen your redecorating you room, craving something special for a meal, or finding a new stile. Pinterest is something you can use when your lost in thought and jest feel like making a list of sorts of all kinds. It can really be useful for lists like Birthday lists, house lists, and even things you want for something in your personal life. Pinterest is boundless and you can do practically anything you want. I also like Pinterest because I like the idea of trying something new and different. When I was growing up I wouldn’t like it when someone would copy me. Doing the same things as me would drive me crazy I wanted to have my own thing but I guess that’s how you start a trend right? But I didn’t know that until I found Pinterest it helped me realize you aren’t always going to get what you want but you can at lease try to find what you really need. And Pinterest also helped me find my own stile. And not jest clothes foods,places,music,fashion,colors,houses,art,makeup, I could go on and on but that’s not quite the point the point is GET PINTEREST! I don’t know if it will help you but it helped me and I think taking a chance on a app that can help you decide on life choices is fairly simple. But I’m not joking you won’t regret it because today I’ll tell you a secret. I woke up the morning and looked up things to ware on Pinterest and I got three compliments! Three!!! So I would definitely recommend this app it’s literally just an app that has things you like and maybe like. So how bad can it be?.Version: 8.17
Great, but I must address something. (sorry if the review is long btw)Okay, so don’t get me wrong, it is an amazing app. It’s (mostly) incredibly kid-friendly, and, well, there are other great things about it that I could put in this review, but that would make it too long. You may be wondering: “Well, if it’s such a great app, why didn’t you put in five stars?” I didn’t put in five stars because of the AI. All the AI pins are just absolutely cluttering up Pinterest, and it’s making it impossible to find real stories that happened, real images that people photographed, real things, real drawings that people put their time and effort into making. In the words of this one person who also addressed this problem (I forgot her name): “So see, if I search up garden, and I scroll around, all of it is AI; there’s this AI cat here, and then there’s this ‘garden’ here that is absolutely AI;…” and this is becoming a bit of a long review, but please. Somehow remove the AI pins, or at least put in a filter button in the settings that people can turn on to filter out AI pins somehow. Or like really, any type of pins they /absolutely/ do not want on their feed. Pinterest was used for finding inspiration— real things that real people did that inspired other people, that were put so much time and effort into, not just something ‘inspiring’ generated with the tap of a button. !!PLEASE READ!!Today I noticed that about half of the videos that I had saved no longer had sound, even though when I saved them they did have sound, and extremely common music in the U.S. as well. It was really starting to annoy me so I googled what to do about the situation. Someone had suggested changing the region because some music is copyrighted to pinterest in certain areas. So, I changed the region in my settings, and I just choose a random one. I guess this was a massive mistake because as soon as I closed out of the settings, not even three seconds later, I got a message saying that I was “too young” for Pinterest and that my account was being deactivated. Keep in mind the region I choose was France, so I looked up what the age requirements over there were. From the information I gathered I could only come to the conclusion that it was 16. I wish I would have at least received some sort of warning before they deactivated my account because now the only way to reactivate it is to send Pinterest a picture of either my birth certificate or government identification. First of all, I’m not applying for a government loan I’m just trying to get back into my PINTEREST ACCOUNT. And second of all you don’t even upload your very sensitive and personal information to Pinterest itself. It takes you to a 3rd party browser. So now I have to choose between potentially getting my identity stolen or getting all of my pins back. I can see how I made a mistake on my part but some sort of warning or notice would have been nice..Version: 11.28
Just a couple things.I love Pinterest, I think it’s amazing and I will always think that; though there are some features that I think should be added as well as brought back. 1. The like button, I hate how the heart button was removed and replaced by a board called “my liked pins” (or something like that) the heart button made it so easy to sort things as they were put in a different section and very quick to use; but now, it’s a hassle as not only does it take more time to scroll through all the boards you have just to save a single thing into a board specifically made just for things you’ve liked in the past but that board serves no purpose now as it takes way too long for people who have several more boards (which most of us do) to actually reach the “my liked pins” board. 2. A mass download or bulk download feature should be added. This comes from my experiences, something that annoys me so much is only being able to download one picture at a time and not several, I have a board which is just dedicated to aesthetics, I download pictures from that board; but, I don’t do it immediately as that takes way much more time. What I do is I get several pictures, sort them into sections by either colour or what they represent (school, work, art, music, etc.) go through every single section downloading picture after picture (which gets annoying very quickly with the little pop up that happens when you download a picture, “saved”) and that takes up most of my time, I try and do it in one single sweep as I would most likely forget to do it later. Those are just a couple suggestions I have. The app is wonderful though, and I will most likely never stop using it..Version: 6.65
Best thing everThanks to Pinterest I can express myself throughout creativity and just art boards and just all these boards that I can make and I can express myself through them I think my favorite two boards is probably my Jesus Christ one and my photography because those are two really important things in my life and this is a really great app for all ages and I do recommend it to anyone who is eligible to have it. And I first got it when I was about 11 and I just got an iPod not a phone but my parents wouldn’t let me have any kind of social media so this was kind of like a social media for me and I very much enjoyed it you can fine inappropriate things on there if you search them up I have never search them up but if you click on the wrong link or something it could lead to something so just be mindful when you have your kids on there it will ask you of like things that you’re interested in just make sure that you are looking over that because there are things on there that maybe you should look over with them other than that it’s an excellent app and in less you’re truly searching for something or you just click the wrong link you won’t find anything bad and I truly absolutely for the very last time do you recommend it to all thanks!.Version: 6.41.1
AI and Ads are hurting the app but I still love PinterestI’ve been on Pinterest since I was about 11- it was my very first social media experience and I immediately was charmed by it!! Seven years later- Pinterest is still my favorite social media because it felt to me like a creative escape from overconsumption. For most of my life I have used pinterest to help build my skills as an artist, find ideas for projects and fashion, read old tumblr posts, and generally cultivate a space that truly feels like my own. Pinterest is still my favorite social media- and is LEAGUES ahead of other platforms in terms of not being overstimulating- but as of late I’ve been struggling a bit due to ads on here becoming more and more prevalent, as well as AI generated images saturating the post-base on here. I miss when Pinterest felt like a quiet space for me to get inspired- as due to the factors i just mentioned, the app feels more and more like an advertisement. The increased AI presence on the app is demoralizing as well, because Pinterest- for me at least- has always been an incredible showcase of humanity and human creativity. AI robs pinterest of its humanity, and is actively harming the user base because AI models are being used to monitor content on the app- leading to unjust bans on users who haven’t actually violated Pinterest’s policies. I hope the app can address this and maintain it’s human premise, as I would be heartbroken to watch Pinterest devolve into something soulless after so many years of it being the sole social media dedicated to the soul..Version: 13.17
Used to be better, but I understand whyPinterest used to be better for me in many ways, but I can understand how some quality has had to be sacrificed because of the sheer volume of content. I’ve had Pinterest pretty much since the beginning, so I’m getting close to my limit of pins I’m sure. I’ve made attempts to go back and edit, organize, and delete. I really wish I could find copies and manage my boards better through Pinterest. My app glitches pretty often and gets stuck loading, or closes. I’ve been getting more and more emails that a pin I’ve pinned has been removed for violating policy, but I don’t know what pins or why, and I don’t create my own pins at all. Recently got an email that a pin had been reinstated, but that continued misconduct would result in actions to my account… even though whatever it was didn’t break any rules. Nothing I do on Pinterest could really be considered inappropriate, or break any laws. Awhile ago I kept getting hit with “pin limits” randomly, even after one or two pins. This at least seems fixed. I really dislike this update where there are two top choices for recommended boards, and then a “profile” option. Pinterest already does a poor job recommending the correct board, and the top choice is going to be the last board pinned to, so really it’s just one recommendation now. This makes any pinning much more difficult and timely, because you basically have to select from all your boards again, instead of three recommendations.I don’t even know what the “profile” option means. Great for inspiration but AI and ads are out of controlThe app itself works just fine. I enjoy using it for inspiration and to help me visualize things for future plans or projects, so in that way it continues to mostly serve its original purpose. However, it seems every time I’m on there I get served more and more AI generated images. The amount of ads was frustrating enough for a while, but now I will get pages of imagery that isn’t actually showing real places or even real people. If I’m using Pinterest to get ideas for a realistically achievable patio space, or a new hair style or hair color, I don’t want to see computer-generated images of women who all have the same face or a landscaping job that doesn’t actually exist. Pinterest has a lot of value as a tool to help communicate goals and visual wants to professionals working with clients. How is it fair to professional designers if their clients keep bringing them images of things that never existed in reality in the first place? How is it fair to those same artists and designers if the work that is getting pinned and shared is not theirs, but is instead generated by a machine ? It’s frustrating at a basic level and very eerie and disturbing at another. I would love to see Pinterest advocate for the artists, designers, and content creators who use this space by cracking down on AI-generated posts. This used to be my favorite app…Ages ago, when I first joined Pinterest (back when you had to request an invitation), it was creative heaven. You could save all your favorite ideas in one place WITH NOTES *insert glare here*, and not be bombarded with ads on every. single. scroll. I know you guys are a business that needs to generate revenue and you’re trying to go for a “uniform” pinning experience (whatever that means), but I think you higher ups are delusional about what your users actually USE this platform for. We aren’t mindlessly pinning ideas. We’re planning projects, experimenting with style, and tweaking recipes, among other things. Notes are an essential component of that process. Do you forbid your employees of note-taking at work, too, or is it just us users that can’t take notes? Have a heart (and a brain) and bring back notes-to-self! And for pity’s sake, can we calm down with the ads?? I’ve been quietly dealing with these issues since they started popping up a while back, but my nerves have finally snapped. This is ridiculous! Bonus tip to the app developers combing reviews as they look for ways to tap into this vein of social networking (because goodness knows the giant thumbtack could use a little competition), I have a suggestion for you: Let your users take notes. Long time userI’ve been a regular pinterest user for almost a decade now. I rarely have a day where I don’t check my Pinterest. I mainly use it to curate aesthetics and find inspiration for my life. It’s very soothing and artistic to me, and the only social media I’ll use. However, I feel as though Pinterest has recently gone down hill. There’s an overwhelming amount of ads. To the point of every other pin is an ad. Most of them are irrelevant to me and my feed is no longer aesthetically pleasing, just full of junk. And I’m not opposed to tasteful ads- I’ve even bought multiple products advertised to me on Pinterest that had beautiful ads that matched my interest and weren’t overwhelming. But there’s just too many now and too many pointless ones. It makes Pinterest significantly less enjoyable. I also don’t understand why Pinterest no longer shows you who pinned the pins in your feed, and when you click in you can’t click on the original user who pinned. It’s totally confusing and counterintuitive- I keep trying to click the icons of people to view their profile but I can’t. The best way for me to do it is to scroll through the hundreds of people I follow to find them. It’s a huge pain. Please make peoples profiles clickable from their pins like they used to be. Amazing until recently…I’ve been using pinterest for so long and i spend so much time on pinterest so it’s kinda frustrating because this has never happened before. i upload/post things on my pinterest feed and i never get notifs when someone comments on my stuff so whenever i look randomly that’s when i find them. yesterday i was scrolling through my posts and i noticed i had some comments so i went to go like them and the “liked by creator” never showed up like it usually does. i thought nothing of it and tried highlighting the comment and a message came up on my screen saying “something went wrong on our end. sorry about that.” i replied to the comment and when that person responded to me, i tapped on the notif and it brought up MY post but had a DIFFERENT user name on it when it was MINE. and now whenever i look at what’s supposed to be MY comments, OTHER creators comments show up but again, with MY pictures that i upload. I’ve logged out, deleted the app and reinstalled it and it still continues to do this. i recently uploaded something and when someone commented, i liked their message and the “liked by creator” showed up but it still won’t for my older posts. i tried ignoring it but it’s really frustrating and i hope pinterest fixes this soon. i really don’t want to delete everything and re-upload it or delete my account entirely..Version: 11.8
BugsHey I love Pinterest more than the next person but I really can’t stand how my pins move around when I add new pins to a board. id prefer they move only if i organize them myself but also when I try to organize the pins that I saved the organization option moves all my pins and switches and swaps them. so it hard and confusing to move them to where I want and I end up ruining most of the board bc again every single pin moves. I hate it. I don’t understand y pins that r saved from the beginning move when saving new pins it really ruins the vibe of the board that I want to create and it tends to make it look messy. I really want my boards to look organized weather it’s by color or simplicity or whatever. also when I’m working on a board and im looking at pins it’s suggesting and I click to save it to that board and it glitches and it’s so weird to the point where I have to either press the back button, the home button, or close the app and open it back up just to get it back to normal. And when I’m searching up something and I’m scroll for some time and I want to check out one of my boards or go back home the bar at the bottom that allows me to do so disappears so I have to close the app just to be able to click home or my boards. Great app but…I love Pinterest so much I used to use it everyday until I got deactivated about 2 weeks ago. I emailed them twice and they said they would review my account but 2 weeks just passed so I emailed them again just now. Come to find out, other people are also getting there account deactivated for no reason or for the wrong reason. Also having to spam the life outta Pinterest just to get their attention to get their account back; because for some reason Pinterest just ignores you in this dire situation. I myself got mine deactivated for NO REASON at least it wasn’t explained why it got deactivated. It’s extremely wild that this is happening and Pinterest are just ignoring people who are trying to get their attention to get their account back. I know it might seem like me and other people are overreacting but Pinterest is truly such a fun app, and having that taken away for no reason is so frustrating. This shouldn’t be happening and it should never happen. I know it could be a mistake by bot reviewers but bot reviewers should not be able to deactivate or suspend accounts. Bot reviewers should only be able to report their triggers to a human reviewer and let that human reviewer decide what’s actually happening. Update is horribly frustratingI LOVE Pinterest, but it looks like you guys are killing it with each new update. First of all, WHY would you take out the “Like” button? Who thought of this?! Why would you think this was a grand idea? Sometimes you like something but not enough to take your time and go through the process of pinning it, now what? You have to just sit there and scroll because you dont have a board that will fit it and you can’t express your admiration for the pin. Secondly, WHY did you remove the easy pinning option when you actually open a pin?! This is probably the most frustrating and just plain ridiculous part. The whole point of Pinterest is PINNING, but now when you touch an open pin hoping for the “Pin It” option to appear, it just gives you more pins that look like the one you already have opened... like.. why? If I wanted more pins like the one I already have I would actually look for that option, not have that be the default to a pinning platform. Now you cannot pin unless you actually go to the designated button all the way at the top and if you have a big device and can’t reach up all the time, forget about it- your pinning days are over. And lastly, the boards used to be easily accessible with a an alphabet scroll that would scroll through all your boards and all you had to do was just move your thumb along the menu slightly, now you have to scroll through every single one of your oh-so-many boards to find the right one. Pinterest used to be fun and relaxing, but frankly, it’s now exhausting. I resent it a little more every time I open the app..Version: 6.35
Weird lasso outline nowIve used pinterest for years, never had a problem with it, absolutely love it. But just a week or so ago my phone had updated the app and now every time i click on a pin whatever is the focal point of the image gets outlined by this little dashed line for a couple seconds and goes away. I know that sounds like not to big an issue but it seriously obstructs the whole feel of pinterest😅 After a while of clicking through pins it gets extremely irritating seeing it outline something on literally every single pin i click on. I do not need every object in an image outlined. I dont need the focal point of a painting outlined. This doesnt imrove the user experience in any way. This feature could already be accessed before with the little scissor and search icons in the bottom right of the pin, at least then it was in our control and we could choose whether or not we want it to pop up. Ive searched up on multiple sites, looked to see if anyone else had this problem and apparently its been going on couple months now. It wouldn't be too bad if there was a way to turn it off but so far no one has found a lasting solution. Please fix this pinterest! I love it but.... some stuff has to change.I used to love Pinterest. As a baker and writer I loved looking through so many recipes and and different posts. I still love the format and everything about the app. But I have tried to post my opinions in the comments, no bad language or anything and Pinterest won’t let me. People are constantly swearing and typing inappropriate stuff but I can’t post my own opinions. I will keep Pinterest because of my hobbies, but it if uncalled for to not allow someone to post something they want or believe in. People are constantly voicing their own opinions but I can’t. It is not up to you to tell me what I can and can’t say, I understand that it is not totally designed for voicing your opinions but if you have a comment section, allow people to say what they want. Stop deciding what I should like!I still use Pinterest- often for things I’ve already saved, like recipes or quilting how tops. I’ve noticed though, over time, that some of my older, much-used content disappeared. My main concern though is that when I search for something on Pinterest it brings up too many way too similar items and if I click on even one pin to look at it all the pins on the search page become the same thing- like I look up chocolate desserts, click on one picture of chocolate layer cake and all the pins become chocolate layer cake. I hate that, I want to have variety and choice, that’s why I started on Pinterest in the first place. Also another frustrating thing is if I click a pin to go to the linked website, it has become so that if I scroll slightly too fast it goes off the webpage back to the pin and I have to return to the web page and once again scroll to where I want to be on it (annoying when following a recipe etc). I know I could click the link to take me off the app. and onto my internet app. But would be easier just to be able to access it more easily from the Pinterest app. Also if you click out of the app. Even for a second (not closing the app down) it often goes off the current pin or search you were on and you have to search all over again. Ie very sensitive. So although I have enjoyed the app I’m getting sick of Pinterest deciding what I should like. I guess though that this is the state of the world and the internet these days. you just have to talk about something to a friend and suddenly it’s all over your searches. I love this app BUTThis is my favorite app in the entire world, let me tell you. i used it for HOURS every day and i would send people inspiration pins and receive them as well BUT recently there’s a problem. i tried to contact the help center about this but it did not work. i have started to like this app less and less. and here’s why- #1 ads. i get SO many and i understand they need them but at this point it’s more ads then ideas. #2. something is broken. on the bottom on the screen, you typically have options. the “home” where you find new pins, the search bar, the create option (the plus sign), the messages tab, and your profile. now let me tell you. 2 WENT MISSING. i have done everything in my power to fix this problem. for the creation button which i use often for an assortment of things, is broken. i cannot click on it because it is not there. this is a lesser problem because i go into my account and find it on my board’s browser. BUT. the messages icon and option is completely gone. i have not changed a single setting, it just flat out disappeared and i cannot see pins that are shared with me, and i cannot use this app properly. i can’t save things to a board and share them no problem but cannot receive a thing. now. i love this app. it is my favorite one. but if this does not get fixed, i’m going to be upset..Version: 14.3
It does what it’s supposed to I guessThis app does what it’s supposed to, it’s a port of the media on a handheld device. the reason the rating is so low is the problem with app glitches. there are always glaring glitches in the usage of this app. when they disappear in an update, new glitches come back to replace them. though I understand it’s hard to squash bugs, these are glaringly obvious and disrupt the usability of the software. the app used to not send an error message when your comment was too long (and not provide an explanation on why it wasn’t sent.) when that was fixed recently, it was replaced by more problems. the “view replies” button now only works half the time. the other half of the time, it simply doesn’t doing anything and you only vigorously tap the button. if a comment notification is shown as a dropdown while using the app and you tap to view the notification, it doesn’t bring you to the comment and the notification disappears from your wall. it becomes inaccessible. similarly, if you want to view a notification in your wall that is based on a reply to a comment, good luck getting the app to actually show you the comment in question. also, when you view a pin via a comment notification, you can’t access the original pin to be able to perform your regular actions (saving/unsaving from boards, downloading the image, etc.) this is less of a problem but still unnecessary; you should simply be brought to the actual pin link with the comment in question brought to the top of the comment list. it does what it needs to, but lord do I get frustrated sometimes..Version: 9.3

Love Pinterest but...I LOVE Pinterest like anyone else, and really love the new feature recently rolled out that allows for sections within boards. My biggest gripe, that truly ANNOYS me (to maddening levels at times), is that you STILL haven’t fixed this issue: I’m having a grand ole time pinning this and that, smiles and excitement abound, then I get a text and KNOW I better respond now (before I forget - while further lost in my [glorious] Pinterest hole), so I quickly double-click over to my messages, read and respond to said semi-urgent text, then eagerly double-click to get back to my Pinterest oasis (ready to continue down my Inception-esque “More like this” labyrinth), click on my lovely Pinterest tab showing all the amazing DIY _________ options available (to my imagination, cause how many of us ever, REALLY get around to Pinteresting), only to have your app “rethink” my life for me and kick me back to the Home/starting point all over again😠😭😭😭 I just don’t get why this VERY SERIOUS (okay, so not world-ending) issue hasn’t been fixed yet!!!! It happens ALL the time, which causes me to throw my arms in the air (NOT my all too expensive iPhone) and swipe you guys up, up, and away...at least for the day...or maybe afternoon...or...well YOU know, till the next idea pops into my head (which, for an ADDer like me is ALL too dang often) and I decide I have time to seek Pinterest for all its inspiration - and ONLY Pinterest, because one can’t have multiple Pinterest induced breaking points in one day... It’s getting worseSo I’ve been having issues with product’s constantly pushed in my face with every single art piece that pops up but whatever I will live until I figure out how to fix that or it get updated out. I’ve run into a major problem for me. I can’t share my account and it is basically in forced ghost mode because of the new age policy and what not. I was trying to make a colab bored with a friend and every time she tried to join it would say it didn’t exist. I tried to fix it with no luck and I then went maybe my birthday is wrong and that’s causing me problems so I go and have a look. It says a day in May of 2008. My birthday isn’t in May and sure as heck isn't 2008 I’m older than that. My birthday had been set when I made the account a year or two ago and had been correct but guess what dear old Pintrist goes and does that reset my birthday and now want me to show them legal documents to fix it. I’m not showing random people my legal information like my birth certificate just to fix the age that they reset. I’m running into constant problems and it’s really sad because I love this app but can no longer use it as easily as before. Sorry for my long rant just wanted to share my thoughts on the new policy and how it is causing me more harm than good. It’s a great app but please stop taking away features!I’ve used the app for years, and it’s great, but PLEASE stop taking away features. Where you can “try” pins or comment with a photo has been removed, and it’s annoying. One of the original things from Pinterest were that you could “try” things in the comments. Or even just put a specific reaction picture. Seeing people try and recreate crafts and projects or funny reaction pictures feels like it was the point of the comment sections- to discuss the pin. Long story short it’s a feature that shouldn’t have been removed. Aside from that, the updates to the comment sections as a whole haven’t been my favorite. The new “react” feature seems a bit pointless; in the past you could like a comment and it was simple. There was a number of people that liked it and a heart lit up when you liked it. The new feature not only shows other people’s reaction in color- it only changes to “loved” or “helpful” in a dull color, which makes it really hard for people with poor eyesight, dyslexia, etc to discern which comments they have reacted to (since they are already in color) The helpful option as opposed to the loved option makes sense, but it seems more trouble that it’s worth. In short, the lack of commenting with pictures and the reaction mechanics need work. Otherwise, it’s a great app..Version: 10.24

Random bansMe, and a lot of other people (on x) have randomly been banned without no real cause. it says because we didn’t respect the guidelines or something, but 99% of us are innocent!! it seems to be an ai ban bot?? what the hell does that even mean. i dont want an ai having access to my account and deciding to ban me for nothing. ive had that account for almost 5 years. ive contacted multiple times for two weeks the team ON instagram AND on the website (in wich it always told me there was a mistake). i am extremely dissapointed.Version: 13.16
