네이버 - NAVER Customer Service

This is a nice app that I was interested in because I read WEBTOONs. Another reason is that my ethnicity is Korean (I’m half Korean and half white in case you were wondering) but I live in America and I was curious to see what kinds of apps Koreans use! It’s a great app with a great interface & I can see it being popular. I would like an English version since my Korean reading ability is almost nonexistent & I think Americans like me might want a similar app. I know there’s Facebook, but that’s not my favorite, & I think the aim of this app is more my style. Plus they have news, weather, etc to help you practice reading your Korean and a blog post option that allows you to practice writing. They also have a built in email service. So if you can read Korean I would highly recommend this.

I know that a lot of people are downloading this app because the comics are uploaded faster on here compared to the English webtoon app… however if you’re going to beg for an English version (which there already is just download webtoon) I recommend downloading Papago. It’s good for navigating websites in foreign languages and I’m pretty sure it’s a Naver app so it’s compatible with Naver comics. Be warned that the translations aren’t that good from Korean to English so you’ll miss out on metaphors and wordplay as well as understanding the comic as a whole! Make the effort to learn korean

I think this app is really awesome. I like the layout and how simple it is. It also really helps me practice my Korean. To all the English speakers complaining about it being in Korean: don’t get a Korean app if you just want everything to be in English. If not having an English option is the reason you rated this app so low then delete it and use google. Naver was made for Korean speakers so obviously it’s gonna be in Korean.

If ur wondering, i just started learning korean, and this app helped me a lot ( reading webtoons) so if ur gonna understand it u can download. otherwise if u want the english version its not available. so please stop putting only one star to this app. its a great app for people who know Korean language. and if u still want to understand this app then start learning korean languge 🤷‍♀️

Although I can’t read Korean you can’t be mad I mean it is a Korean app so, I’m not complaining about that because I chose to download this app on my behalf so it is not in my place or anyone else’s to complain about a Korean app being in Korean. Overall a easy to navigate and helpful app also can help you read Korean!🤩

I see many comics that are connected to this app. My issue is how hard it is to sign up when you put your name. My first name,Keira, is an issue. Whenever I put my first name, the notification says that the box is blank or “use Korean or English character”. I don’t understand how to change my name so I can sign up.

I love it a lot, although I wish i was able to put in in all English, I get a little practice with reading Korean so that’s alright I love all the different features that are available

This app is amazing as it is like a searcg engine in korean which to me is very helpful. But I reccommend to only get it if you are close to fluent in Korean as it will be hard to use/understand since it is only in Korean

Why are people complaining about a Korean language based search engine? Ratings shouldn’t be based on one person’s deficiency in 한국어

Is there a way to change the settings from Korean to English? It says on here that it’s in both English and Korean but I can’t figure out how to change the settings 😅 if there isn’t then don’t mind me 😅! I wish that I could read Korean but I can’t unfortunately 🥺

I have no problem with it being in all Korean. The people who write reviews based on that need to get it through this skull that naver is a Korean search engine so it will be in Korean. My problem is that the app keeps crashing for me which is a problem because I use this app among many others to help me learn Korean better. I usually read webtoons on there but I haven’t been able to since it started crashing. I even tried deleting and reinstalling th app and that didn’t help either. It is very frustrating because I cant do anything about it.

It is exceptionally difficult to complete the process to create the account only to have it blocked. I provided information to have it unblocked - including a photo of my passport- only to be told it could not be unblocked. The process to get help is convoluted and one way - no way to get or give clarification. Kakao, CATCHTABLE, other S Korean apps a pleasure to use. Naver no help - horrible experience

Signing up is impossible to do when you are overseas. Their quality of service is low and the naver app only would work well if you are in Korea. What a shame. Their Korean competitor, Kakao works much better overseas. Before taking about massive investment for AI, Naver should step up and attempt to fix all their signing up issues. It’s been there for years now.

I love Naver and all the amazing Korean novels. You have fans all over the globe but it’s hard to get any translation. Please I hope to see an English version of naver in the future

The loading time is very slow. It takes forever to load or refresh Search is all messed up. Whenever I search something it shows all mail that contains the letters and does not search the actual word.

I don’t want to see home feed at all. I understand that other people may want to see it and follow, I don’t want to be forced to see it. However there is no way to turn it off completely. Naver forces users to see them. This is definitely a violation of privacy.

If you wanna change your password out side of S. Korea, they ask your PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION LIKE PASSPORT AND DRIVERS LICENSE. And required information will be kept 3 yrs. What if your info got leaked in those yrs? I wouldn't risk that. Especially, NEVER Connect your FB account! Now, can you open some IT department to answer my questions?

I tried to sign up and they banned me, the translation option is cumbersome and difficult. I wasn't able to know I needed to verify. I don't have this problem on other Korean social media and other International apps

This has to be a scam to rip off peoples personal info because when I put my info in to sign up the process never finishes it just says ‘sign up is limited please contact customer service’

This app is okay but the problem is,I downloaded this for my favorite boy band but it didn’t work..

Whenever I try to make an account I fill out all the in the information then when it comes to verifying the account I never get a message of verification. I’ve also tried twice to login.

Can’t get past the ridiculous Captcha nonsense to create an account. Even after I’ve squinted to count the number of products purchased or the total kg of mung beans, it won’t submit. Not on WiFi. Not on cellular. iPhone 15 Pro w/ newest stable release on Naver and iOS.

It’s a black hole when you try to get authentication as foreigners. You can’t get verified without a Korean phone number, and without verification you can’t book or chat with merchants.

I’ve been trying to log in. I made an account, then I tried to join a cafe. It asked me to log in again, I’ve tried so many times without success. Terrible app. Good lick logging in

I got suspended from Naver I guess cause I’m not Korean. What a joke! I want to visit South Korean they are so controlling of the Internet! You would think for half of the country who isn’t religious wouldn’t be so anti free speech! Just as bad as red note.

Sign In with Apple is broken and won’t let you log in. If you sign up for an account, the verification via text message doesn’t work. If you manage to make an account and login, it marks your account as suspicious and tells you to contact customer service. Despite trying to cater to non-Korean speakers, the whole support website is in Korean. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Impossible to create or log into an account. Captcha doesn’t work, preventing any interaction with the app. An embarrassing failure of software development.

I spent a few minutes looking for a clue as how to enable English to no avail. For map and road directions, I heard Kakao being recommended.

I realize this an app made for a Korean audience, but if it had an English option, it would be used by a lot more people.

업데이트 이후로 파일을 이메일로 받으면 이메일에서 프린트해야되는데 프린트 기능이 사라졌네요. 그래서 지금 스크린샷찍어서 따로 사진첩가서 크롭후 프린트해야되는 상황이에요.

브이앱 로그아웃 되어 봤더니 네이버로 로그인 하려면 네이버 앱 깔래 시발 ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

The camera function for the Japanese translator does not work at all. I've been using Naver translator for over an year and this is the only version where the camera function just simply does not work. Please fix it ASAP.

아이패드는 지원이 잘 않되는 것 같습니다. 속도도 너무 느리구요. 기다리다 지쳐서 리뷰를 작성하게 만듭니다.
